Dr. Sebastian Gorka: 'Rule of Law' Should Matter to Ron DeSantis
"Doctor Sebastian gorka, was talking to Eric bolling over at newsmax yesterday and incidentally, how about that big victory for newsmax back on DirecTV? Looks like looked like there was enough of a pushback that AT&T, the parent company are, yeah, AT&T, the parent company of DirecTV, saw fit to return newsmax to their big platform. Which is big news for newsmax. I'm sure they're celebrating over there. Here's Eric. Talking to our colleague, Sebastian gorka, and doctor G doesn't sound like he's much of a Ron DeSantis fan. Let's just say the governor of Florida has not shout himself in glory in the last four days. Let's remind everybody that president Trump is a resident of the state of Florida that he is governor of. He says nothing for 48 hours about the impending arrest of the 45th and potentially 47th president of the United States. And then in the press conference on Monday on another topic he's asked and he does this snarky thing twice. He has to talk about hush money for porn stars twice and get giggles from the peanut gallery. It's an NDA. I signed an NDA with president Trump in 2015 and I ain't no porn star. I was writing security papers for the presidential nominee debate and an NDA is absolutely normal. So the idea that he says this is none of our business I'm going to concentrate on Florida. You're a former jagran rule of law should matter to you in the interview with pays Morgan was a bloody embarrassment.

They're already honored plants, including the official fruit, the peach, supporters say the recitation is about protecting and increasing awareness of an interesting species found only in one spot on the globe, the upper part of the South Carolina coast, and a small sliver of southeast North Carolina. Wolf Lightning Accelerator CEO Kelly Brewster Shares His Story
"Kelly, welcome to the breakdown sir. How are you doing? Awesome. How are you? Good. You got that amazing background. This is designed for zoom videos. I'm sure. It's real. It's not. If I move quickly, you can see it's not pixelated. It's a real background. Awesome. I'm super excited to have you here. Appreciate you taking some time. I know that you guys are about to start this first class of wolf, but just quickly, before we dive in today, let's start with your background. How you got into Bitcoin and what you're doing now, what the inspiration for wolf was. Yeah, absolutely. And also thank you for having me. I'm a big fan of the show, and I listen frequently, so I'm excited to be here. My personal experience with Bitcoin goes back to about 2013. The time I was working at Goldman Sachs, I was working on one of the trading desks, and initially I heard about Bitcoin through coinbase. It wasn't first hearing about Bitcoin, and then later the exchanges was the other way around. But I heard about this company that was working on this amazing new exchange for these digital assets that I started learning at Bitcoin, learned a little bit about some of the other assets as well. And I thought it was fascinating. And I dabbled a little bit, but I had neither the Fiat savings nor the fortitude to get involved in a bigger way. But a little bit, and I started paying attention to it. And then fast forward a couple of years in 2016, I was working at stone ridge, which is the company that owns nigg and that owns wolf, which we'll talk more about today. And stone ridge was working on the technology and the business that ultimately became nij. And it was really during that time that I went much deeper down the rabbit hole, became much more focused on Bitcoin and became much more personally interested in Bitcoin over really everything else that was happening in crypto at the time. And of course, you know, now through a couple of cycles every time we've seen some of that, I personally just become even more sure that Bitcoin is the thing that is going to stick around and it's going to have some staying power.

"Good morning, glory, America, bonjour, hi, Ken. I'm Hugh Hewitt live. I woke up this morning. To the news that both Princeton and northwestern had won their first round NC two a tournament games, and I began scanning the night sky in California for a meteor. I mean, northwestern and Princeton both win their first round. I don't know that that's ever happened before. Duke one, that's the other smart kid school. So that's kind of we're used to duke winning because they have a subdivision. A basketball major that people take advantage of. But I'm just amazed. We had duke UCLA, Penn State won something. Now that's kind of remarkable. If you're in Ohio State fan, you realize Penn State doesn't win a lot. I told you that Arkansas won too, so senator cotton will be a little bit insufferable, but maybe by Saturday night they'll come down to earth. Auburn. Northwestern Tennessee and Houston, and if you don't know this, a lot of beltway journalism depends upon the output of school graduates, I think model is probably the best connected journalism school. Aaron Rodgers Emerges From the Darkness
"Who's been a top contender for Friday's finest for the last few weeks. Has been the mercurial quarterback of the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers. Now, deciding that he did not want to retire under the same year Tom Brady did, and he wanted to continue to play. He's following that great packer tradition of leaving the Green Bay Packers and going to New York. It looks like if things can get everything settled. I mean, is there ever, I mean, this is almost like the Howard Hughes of football. I mean, just this reclusive, I'm going to sit in the dark for two weeks and then come back out and talk. And then when he actually came back out this week and said it on the pat McAfee show, well, I'm going to play and I intend to play with the jets. Well, I loved the I don't know if I'm going to try to I think it's a direct one. He said, I came out of the darkness and something was a little bit off. Like, yeah. Okay. The real world, buddy. You know, I just, I feel like every fan of every other team in the NFC north wants to hold a press conference to thank God for getting Aaron Rodgers out of their division. But realistically, it's something that bothers me. I think this is, this goes for pretty much anything. This is not, we don't even have to keep this to just sports, but the idea that he knew that he knows that he has enough power to a if they want to get rid of him, he can take as much time as he wants. If he really wanted to stay and cause a stink and their organization, he could do that as well. But now he gets to make demands to the team that's looking to get him. Think about all the power that that one man has because he can throw a football 60 yards without blinking.

It's not something we're doing or we would do for other people. It's something we would do for our future for our collective future and the generations to come. Wow. It would benefit our collective futures. How could anyone be against that? Now, reaching into your wallet to apologize for slavery is the least you people could do. Well, and of course, money talks. Just enhance for a law professor at Howard University, put it this way. If you're going to try to say you're sorry, well, you have to speak in the language that people understand. And money is that language. Recall that this debate began on college campuses decades ago. And then the idea really gained traction in recent years, especially after the death of George Floyd. And now, even African Americans who've enjoyed huge success in America, they think they deserve cash.

The Merits of "chevron Deference"
"Welcome back, America. I'm guilty here and thank you for joining me this morning. Now I'm about to talk about Chevron deference and my steeler fans friends think that means there's a line at the gas station like under Jimmy Carter. That's not what it is, but you need to understand Chevron deference and you and to understand why a new court filing in loper bright enterprises versus raimondo may finally lead to what we need in this country, which is a checking in of the administrative state. It's been filed by the former solicitor general of the United States. Paul Clement, who joins me now. General Clement, welcome to the Hugh Hewitt show. Great to talk to you. It's great to be with you. You know, I'm very happy to talk about that. You are a friend of Carol plant lebao and she'd been telling me for years. How can you not know Paul Clement? You know, ruxley, you know, Ted Olson, you knew chuck Cooper and, you know, ten stars. I just never run across and he's too young. So am I correct you've argued more than a hundred Supreme Court's arguments thus far? That's right here. I have argued more than a hundred cases, quite amazing to me. That is so fabulous. And I have personally recommended this man to people when they are looking for Supreme Court litigators because you don't want to send in the local council actually to target before the Supreme Court. This case of loper bright though, caught my eye, Paul Clement, because I teach con law and I try and explain Chevron deference and even law students eyes glaze over, but it can't be an issue for the administrative conference. It can't be an issue for administrative lawyers and professors. It matters to every small business in American carrying great burdens of regulation. Will you explain what Chevron deference is and then what loper bright is going to try and do I delight it to. So the thing about Chevron at least that makes me so kind of concerned about it is you and I have a lawsuit and we disagree about the meaning of a statute. The court is ultimately going to have to figure out which one of us is right. And there's no tie breaker. They have to do all the work and they have to get to a point where they just give their best impression as to what the statute means. But if instead of having a legal dispute with you, I have a legal dispute with a federal government agency, then instead of the courts having to get the statute just right. And figure out what's the best reading of the statute. They essentially get to look at it and unless the statute is clearly in my favor. Then basically the courts will defer to the government.

I watched about a quarter of that. Tony beating of that's the equivalent of nfl. Preseason game 'cause a real team is coming to town come into the rosebowl. Lsu is coming out there this weekend and a to me. You know other than me when my local issues on my must game. North western michigan state. Ucla lsu is the must watch game. I think of the weekend and you wanna see if chip. Kelly and his team have anything for real team not for hawaii and so no. It doesn't ease any pressure or it doesn't make his seat any cooler. I don't think you disagree with that do you. I will add one other game. Clemson georgia as long we got along with. Ucla lsu. I was amazed to find out that. Lsu is only a three and a half point favorite. That's chip kelly. As twenty starters returning. If he wins that game they will carry him around the rose bowl in a chair and everything will be fine but let's look at his record for a second. He was forty six. And seven at oregon. He's eleven twenty one at ucla. That scott frost territory. He went to the eagles failed. He went to the forty niners. He failed and he's failing right now. Failing and ucla so beating. Hawaii isn't going to mean anything. If you go out and you lose to stanford and you lose to arizona state or something like that. I think we both wish him. Well the lsu thing that's been even a lot of confidence. That's big tony. And by the way even if they beat lsu always good for one week by the way they announced thirty thousand fans in the building. I watched i watched a quarter. It looked like they were about fifteen thousand fans. Of course rose bowls enormous. That can happen but they are on trial. There's his seat is just as hot as scott frost. I see oh. I agree i agree. Do you see the niners sticking with a quarterback platoon. I mean a platoon. I don't like that word. Do i see both those guys sharing the position and not out of desperation but out of the plant shore yes cash shanahan's a really smart guy. He's not looking back at what is done. Historically tends to look forward to what what. What can. I do now to help this team in my situation in my guys good for him. I don't see them platooning by series. Oh by play something. Tom landry by the way the great. Tom landry did against the washington football team against the bears. Actually back in like nineteen seventy. It's been tried in the last fifty years though narrowly. I do see them sharing the position. Tony a little bit more than it is usually done. I applaud that effort. Yeah i don't. That's just not the nfl way you pick a quarterback and you stick with them until you have to yank him. Let's look at this for a second. Jimmy garoppolo is a far far better. Nfl quarterback than trae lance. Jimmy garoppolo took this team to a superbowl. Jimmy garoppolo as a starter is twenty. Two and eight in san francisco and trae. Lance played one game last year in college. One game jimmy. Garoppolo's problem is he gets hurt if he doesn't get hurt at it is. And that's why you have the backstop everything by getting trae lance but isn't ready to be an nfl quarterback sharing time right now with jimmy garoppolo. Should they average twenty eight points. A game when jimmy. Garoppolo is the starter. He's healthy. he's gonna be the quarterback. Look at what sean payton is doing. It has done in new orleans you can put trey lance in there for x. Number of plays to help that. Yes like can't yes. They're not looking back to a sixteen game schedule. The nfl are they know they keep looking forward to moma mo and it costs. You can do that. You could have a second quarterback who use but you can't to platoon. Let's take one last.

"Because it's not just this one loss tony that you're trying to decipher and you know. I talked a lot via text. During this game. I watched every snap and that game with our dear friend. Mike gleason nebraskan. Who i feel bad for because there's so much anxiety i mean in the state of nebraska. I mean scott. Frost wasn't just supposed to deliver them back into contention. They thought he was gonna be. You know tom. Osborne part two. They thought that he was going to be the guy who led nebraska back to greatness for years and years and years. Because let's face it as a player. He was great and he did lead them to that one year. I think undefeated. Thirteen all season but tone. They're making a mistake mistakes in nebraska the media. There what you hear. Is this phrase the same movie. 'cause scott frost used it in his post game analysis and it is the same mistakes bad mistakes blunders. Bad play calling undisciplined play and so they're in trouble and then i go get out of the. They're not gonna fire scott frost like after week five. That's not going to happen in nebraska so if people don't know about nebraska because the under the age of forty. Let's say and they don't know about tom. Osborne and bob davantage guys. They named stadiums after and they don't know the when nebraska was in the big eight. They won multiple national championships and nebraska finds itself now in the situation that usc and florida state find themselves in that they used to be great and now they're struggling to find their way. And if you take that job at nebraska that is a hot seat kids because they're not gonna wait now. Scott frost may get a little extra time because he was a player there at one point. But let's look at the last few coaches dave ad. They fired bill callahan. After twenty seven and twenty two they fired bowl pollini after sixty seven and twenty seven that they fired mike riley after nineteen in one thousand nine hundred twelve and twenty one if you frost and nine and eighteen in the big tent. I thought he was a great hire. Mike but the years other than the thirteen in o- other than the thirteen in central florida six and seven four and eight five and seven three and five. And now one hundred. That's clean and twenty eight. Mike one game. Did you say the seat hot after one game. There's not this game. You gotta take everything into account. I know you are but people have to take everything into account when the evaluates got frost and that's what's happening. His seat is hot now. Right now mike leeson going crazy as let's take a break coming up does ucla's big win over hawaii. Ease the pressure on your boy chip kelly speaking of and the niners really rotate quarterbacks by series. No they won't do that. Golf was great. It was great all the time. "Giving mets fans the double thumbs down as he crossed home plate as later explained. And i quote here when we don't have success. We're going to get booed so they're going to get booed when we have success unquote nets president. Sandy alderson called baya's gesture again. Quoting totally unacceptable wilpon. What do you call it. I call it heavenly. Let me start to show like this. Okay let me. Dedicate that to mets fans and all the people. I'm sure who are on their side. I'm not on your side. I don't care about the mets on a good day. And you know i don't care about their fans on the worst day so it's all local. This gives me a chance to rant if i wanted to. I ninety five and the bad behavior of fans. I don't think i don't associate that with boston. More new york and philly and not even washington so just the middle third of i ninety five fans to hell with them. I'm glad hubby by did this. I love him. i understand. fans get to boo. I understand that but then you know what you get as good as you give and if hobby by wants to give them a visual boo i am with them. I hope he's out of new york. And then this free agents off season. I hope he comes back to chicago wherever he goes. You knew i love him anyway. And i love him particularly now for saying too loud obnoxious fans. And that's fan base can be characterized as because i just did. Nobody is ever surprised. When you knock anything in new york out of the jealousy you have all chicago and sure big apple. I will be on from that hobby by as will not be with the mets next year because free agent me. I would get rid of them today. When he came to the mets from the cubs at the trade deadline the mets were in first place. Since then let me get the numbers right there. Nine and twenty by is hitting two seven for the mets which stinks. I'm not saying there's a cause and effect. But i'm saying if it was me i'd pay him out right now today but i wish him all the best. Get rid of him. Because he's a rental. It's a little bit harder with francisco door who also gave him the thumbs s right because lynn door has a ten year. Three hundred forty one million dollar contract and endure by the way. Hasn't been any good with the mets. That in two twenty four. And he's missed forty games kevin pa- lar- when thumbs down to the mets as baton to twelve. Mike what i would say. Those three guys are a big part of the reason that the mets stink those three. And i agree with sandy. Alderson that you can't do this. You can't and fans are allowed to boo. I also blame the mets mike for trying to buy a pendant in one year. Which you just can't do can't have you by wouldn't hit and much more than two seventy two cubs. So what the hell did the brilliant met genius in the front office. Think they were getting when they made these deal to hell with them to this. This is so cool. There's somebody has flown back in the face. You know what how he buys could've have done. And i'm glad he didn't do that because he'd probably get suspended he could have given them another finger instead of thumb pointed upward. So you know too bad. The mets wanna blame everybody. I'm glad you finally took some accountability at the end of your heartache. That the the mets front office on something. That couldn't just be confusing. You're confusing me with someone else. I don't know hot because ideally new york jealous of hot takes jealous of new york. Shohada kissed glad done this. Of course. I hope he does it again. And i hate the mets. And i hate the booing fans who want no accountability for their own actions. Let them take some accountability for their actors. Oh no you guys. don't do that. You people move to the fedex cup playoffs but you and are much more exciting and positive about. We're patrick can't lay pulled out an epic victory over bryson de shambo you boy. The two battled over eighteen regulation holes and six more in that sudden death playoff before can't lay drained another. Putt just went from eighteen. Feet for birdie to win de shambo seemed annoyed with can't lay at times and he also reportedly confronted a fan. Who you'll dow brooke see so glenn get started. How you wanna review this drama. So i thought it was one of the great sporting events i've ever seen. I loved it. And i watched it for hours as did you. I have a certain partiality. Because i have played caves valley and i know the course so when i saw the shambo who i know you hate when i saw the shambo. A number eleven flirt with the water. Drive it over. The water landed on the throat of the fairway re right near the green which is impossible. Can't be done was unbelievably beasley but my largest takeaway was how rock solid. Patrick can't lay was with the putter. Even though he stands over putt for so long you think he has paralysis. But he and i wanna make sure everybody understands us. There were five different putts that he had to make or he was gonna lose an eight footer on sixteen for par an eight footer on seventeen for bogey after went the water and you texted me and you said it's over right here and it wasn't over a twenty footer on eighteen for birdie two more in the playoffs and then he wanted they. The lead said eighteen feet. I thought it was twenty two and it was twenty two the one that he wanted with. Yeah and the fans called them patty ice and it was. It was as good a thing as i've ever seen as it really was just something to revel in to the point where i found myself even rooting for shambo to make that last. Putt tony just because it would keep it going. It would send them into a seventh playoff hole. It was brilliant. He wasn't rock-solid brilliant. Isn't that that's the definition of nerves of steel. So much about golf overstated you and a lot. You lot more than me the last year so but you know people talk about courage. Courage courage is when you step into the octagon or boxing ring or even when you step in against somebody throwing one hundred and five hundred two miles an hour. No this is just nerves of steel. He has them. I mean as nurture incredible. He can stand over a putt and make them drain them like this and he's not going to be able to do it all the time you boy. By the way d- shambo who is great for golf. You mentioned i'd hate. I don't hate him. I don't root for root against him so let's let me make that clear root against not my fav- far from my faith. My favorite person engulfed arruda gets. He is great for golf. You need these shambo as often as you can get him but he choked like a dog. 'cause he missed putts of fewer than ten feet and if you and i were columbia on a sunday and either one of us missed that and then he puts under the one of the other. Hey you choke in what's going on here. he's great. he may win next week. In this shocked. I love the way he hits driver without any caution whatsoever. I love the way gets to the green from impossible lies in the spinach and stuff like that. Normally very good putter. The reason he won the us open at wingfield because he was very good putter. He was not a good putter yesterday. And there's two things he should have done. As far as i'm concerned he should have made that last part and when it was over he should have. Embraced can't lay the way heavyweight fighters when they pick down. He's he should have done that great. I got all texts all the texts. Were exactly the same and they said. Are you watching this. Nobody had to say this was. Nobody had it was. Let's go to me and you didn't have the quarterback duels all over the league ahead of these canley they've already opened their football season illinois perennial doormat beat nebraska. Thirty to twenty two as nebraska. Made terrible mistakes bret bielema. Who was so good at. Wisconsin is now at illinois and former corn husker national championship quarterback scott frost. it's still nebraska though maybe not for long nebraska's twelve and twenty one under frost says frost zurab all the heat after only one loss..

I'm giving some updates about the debacle case the moore few case a little bit of scott peterson and some robert durst information okay. Here's a discussion. Welcome back to you on those every tuesdays with e you're from detroit grand fan club. Podcast the crimes of action. Podcast and the taunted. What now podcast people sometime. We serve at six pm. I wanna give everybody some time to get you're going to be talking about day. Bells value updates. That had over a couple of recent events popped up here and cover kind of just like a brief time line of the case in investigation as it occurred. So as we know on the twenty six hundred november in two thousand nineteen prospered. Police learned that there were two children that were missing. This children belong to laurie. day bell. Val earl larry. Laurie bello debacle She had recently gotten married to chad table and when she was questioned about it us to wear her child was or her children were she made up a story as we all know that proved to be false and the police did some digging and found out that she basically lied about the situation when they went back to basically call her out on her and her new husband had already banished and they had made their way to hawaii though the story itself or the whole case. Really is confusing. If you don't have an understanding of the time line and who the people are and who's involved because to me. There's there's three people at the center of the entire investigation. That's laurie valo debacle. She is the wife of chad d. bell and her brother alex cox those to me are the three individuals who are the primary people for the case and everything that's gone on with it so so we have The three individuals that i believe are responsible for everything that's gone on with this case. They said it was laurie. Debut chatty bell and alex cox who is lawry's brother now the two children at the center of this investigation or kylie ryan. Who was seventeen at the time for disappearance and jj Who was seven at the time of his disappearance on the other side. We also have chad day bell who was married previously to a woman named tammy debacle. She had recently passed away. And we'll get into how soon of how much time passed in between them between tammy passing away and chat and lori getting married so what we find in. give me a second here Lord we have been married. I think about three times. I'm not gonna go super end up into the time line in terms of specifics of xyz doing this person whatever but justice anthony ryan junior. That's when they have tighly and just have actually adopt school. Be so a our family for a little while and then she gets it of course from their divorce from there and ends up marrying charles valo and this is kind of now. Laurie had also kind of already had some weird dealings going on like at times she would John boston deepened in some respects but With charles palo. She really did kind of do as much as she could to make herself look at. She was suffering from mental health issues. so i think the the timeline starts around two thousand seven. When alex cox her brother gets involved as he actually assaults joseph ryan and used a stun gun on him and threatened to kill him. charles. Laurie finalize the adoption of jj who is Actually charles's granted you and that's when they decided to fourteen like hey. Jj would be best with charles. and laurie. instead of k. And larry woodcock because they were an older couple. They didn't really have a lot of time to vote to him. He was a special needs child so they did decide to adopt him so in two thousand fourteen adopting him. They decided to move to coli and in hawaii. I know it sounds very similar. But they're different quite with the k. and then around that time or early in two thousand fifteen will research listening and reading books by this author named chad debacle and something inside of her brain just clicks. She's a slight. Yep that's the person. I'm going to be You know that's the person i'm the now. Focus on the assessments. According to her friends once she gets a hold of chad's books and she hears him on the podcasts that he host or co host cheese like relentlessly upset are obsessed with him later on he goes. This is when i think trial starts to kind of be like okay. Something's going on with us. Lady now we move onto chad. Who two thousand. Fifteen is told in a Lake told by a voice that he you need to move to rexburg idaho and so they moved from Utah.

And so i grew up watching ryan giggs lee sharpe. You know kind of like really early days beckham he was never one of my favorite players But like that's the air that i grew up and i was fully invested. So it was like this my club. If this was truly my club they never would have hired. Josie you and to me. That was the nail and i never. I never could go back from that and i completely stopped watching football which is not my dna. I don't think like. Because i i am the one that would get up at four. Five o'clock in the morning go to a pob. Find a really bad stream get viruses on my computer. I care because i needed to watch it. When he was talking about me. Teasing him about liverpool. I was the one that was drinking his ass to the pubs at like five o'clock in the morning and then eventually he's just he's like. I can't do those any marley. forget it. Forget you the only way. Manchester united supporter in the liverpool the calgary liverpool supporters club bar charing against liverpool with me. Just in the corner booth like. Oh god. i'm going to get my backside. I thought like this is like the perfect there. And i was laughing and i don't know how they didn't kill me like if there were no they really should have like you need to go But then i had never heard of abc's poly but shown had started talking about hidden. I've always been transparent my beliefs. I've always been Anti-homophobia anti sexism. I'm out of the pair of us. I think when we first met. I was very much on the far left. Compared to sean. "I guess meat and that that reaction should probably be a little stronger. If it's a club that you you are in love with and you truly support. So i yeah. I'd slowly grown away from liverpool. And then i run into this beautiful young lady at a pub to watch a a world cup match in twenty ten and we kinda hit it off and she likes football around like football but but the one thing that i i was pretty sure of is that i didn't really care about liverpool anymore. I mean there is there is a bit of of of banter and some sniping back and forth some some playful jabs but You know the passion was there i. She could make fun of liverpool all day. Long really care and she did at great lakes mercilessly. Actually but she was she was still an. I'll let you tell your your agents but Yeah i i was kinda done. And i i wasn't into the premier league so much anymore it just like the money in the game it completely exploded and it just it. It just didn't seem like the game. That i originally kinda fall in love with and i know that's the beginning of the premier league but i mean there's been such a progressive curve money going into the game. It just didn't feel right anymore. And i got does as well. What's next. i love football. But i'm i'm not feeling liverpool anymore. Well okay. i'll. I'll try on the barcelona moniker for a little while. They're kind of an interesting cloud. They've got cultural roots. Yeah just didn't feel right. It felt very plastic And then my mind to wandering back to that fateful day in two thousand six when i saw this catalogue at what about that club. Who are they again. We look for football club. Skull and crossbones and led me to start researching about at season polly and it made me realize that i. I wasn't a liverpool supporter. I i was. It was holding place in my heart for the day that i found fs. Hissing paulie and that has been like a perfect fit from the moment that i looked up on on google and started researching and finding a political values and the history of the club. And how those things aligned. Mike like a jigsaw puzzle. Piece clicking into place this this is it. It's not that. I loved liverpool. It's not that. I ever fell out of love with liverpool. It's it's a beautiful day here in our part of the world so Yeah i definitely can't complain when i can never complain the center shining and it's not thirty five degrees or hotter so it's blessings justice. I have granite cheers some whisky. You guys have been kind enough to byron coconut water. I can't tell you how happy that makes me if you wanna buy some whiskey. If i had known that this was a whiskey. Podcast i wear sean also with whiskey One of the club's sponsors. Jack daniels. So i mean we. We sometimes have a bottle lying around for for such an occasion but Yeah coconut water. Is i find a beverage. Best shared with friends so Yeah it's perfect. I'm so glad you guys are drinking coke. I should so my first question. How and why saint belly let you take that. Well yeah i. I seem to be instigators so so once upon a time Someone that i was going to college with got an order from a shirt distributor based in the uk and they always include a paper catalog. And i'm a bit of a football shirt nerd. So he gave me the catalog when he was done with it. And i leave through it. And i saw in this catalogue half a page dedicated to this club that i've never heard of before but it seemed very strange. They dedicated this amount of space to this club. A million years. I think i would have heard of it. Otherwise and they had two crests. There was a skull-and-crossbones and a red gate kind of looks like a castle or cathedral. But i've come to learn. It's it's a gate and a couple of football shirts and the football shirts were really cool. One was like kind of a a very subtle cammo pattern and the other one was black with kind of splotch over it and it was the kit of polly and that's where the seed was planted at the time i was a liverpool supporter. Or at least i thought it was a liverpool supporter. I it was kind of the latter days of the spice boys era of liverpool and. That's that was kind of my my entry point into football At the club level after world cup ninety four. And so i think mcmanamon had already left the club and i think fowler had recently left for leeds was like oh squad is changing i. I can't seem to get up early enough in the morning to To go down to the pob and watch the game. So i was kind of slowly growing away from liverpool. And you know. I i was on again off again. And when jamie carragher kind of the last of that. Generation of footballers retired from liverpool. Just now i didn't recognize any faces anymore. i hadn't really been keeping up with the squatter. The results I'd completely missed The miracle of istanbul completely. I read about it in the papers the next i was like. Oh okay cool. One euros a european cup..

They were singing songs like a tear. The world down fucking stasi beaks one. So it was one of the places in the dr. That people went to to the stadium to protest against the system that it was really difficult to demonstrations on so they were kind of fascinated into the system inside the stadium. But this this doesn't mean that it was all related with this ideology because now nowadays they do it the opposite way. They are against this real capitalist teams such as our beliefs ish so they are putting these messages in the stadium like ellipses the country football. Is there one. So i don i feel like it's an system club like the they protested against something that is not fair so i feel them defied with this with this feelings. You telling me that. They are fiercely protective even now that they are in the bundesliga fiercely protective of the way that they do things and way of people from the outside coming in. And this the instant success that they're seeing right now It was funny because some years ago they were in positions to go to the first division and they boot Something in the stadium saying shit we are going to to arrive to wounds league so these irony that the rabbit scared that this familiar feeling being part of the neighborhood that they were going to lose it being first-division division they really want to robot deny in a way that it doesn't become gracie full of tourists too much merchandising. They're going stay by. Stabilizing is a really good way to do it. You go to to company these neighborhood. You really feel it. That is really familiar. And you have to adopt them on the part of of the neighborhood yourself and i can. I can understand why. Because i've been reading about the club and the things that they have done after it about you know how they helped rebuild the stadium which doesn't it was was that and also they. They've had their share of ups and downs today there in the bundesliga but they've had trouble where The almost were bankrupt and the fans game together and give their blood literally gave their blood for for the. Yes one to understand the club. It's really connected with the situation of germany as her country because when the reunification was done in the ninety s it was like a country that had a lot of money against a country. That didn't have anything and they have to compete in the in the same competition plus really hard for the teams of is germany to adopt to the new system to be some of them in this league are in second-division so many of these labs have disappeared on others..

"So weird as it's just even weirder for us. It sucks every time so i listened to the opposing team's broadcast for a little bit sometimes in every time the opposing team's broadcast always talks about how crazy our schedule is. So it's not. Everybody doesn't have our schedule. Our schedule is nuts. Even even other teams at us who are in the same season or like dang own. Schedules sucks speaking a witch. Speaking of it. So let me mention this because this ticked me off. I was like you gotta be kidding me right so i was listening to the videos. That steve dangled. Which by the way if you don't a if you haven't watched one of his videos it's hilarious. You don't even have to be a leaf's fan to enjoy it. He goes through the video. He's he's he's really funny. Go watch videos. But on one of his videos he was talking about. You know what was coming for the for the leaves. They have four days off. They played a back to back and then they have another four days off. Imagine yes. I cannot believe that okay in one more sad. I wanna leave y'all with more close up because this is getting long we've been talking a long time so what happens when we don't do it for a while. The last i want i wanted to talk about is the games in hand that we have over the other teams in our division. And we're going to continue to have that for a little while but it slowly start trickling back up to a recap to everybody else. Everybody's talking about. Oh it's okay. It's okay yeah we're trading water. Were were slightly drowning. But we're okay right now. We're just wait. Trying to wait for been sagan been in sagan bishop and sega. I was thinking ben. Bishop bishop kagan to get back and we have those games in hand..

"Sometimes it's in a portland or seattle or or toronto. It's moving around. It's never an same spot it used to be. Dc knighthood always win or san jose or kansas city. Now it's like you never know because there's so many teams out atlanta one recently so By the way. It's hard to say. Atlanta when i talk about athlon all the time you know. It's it's difficult. You wouldn't think that america atlanta's hard to say they had a great season. What was it like two years ago. Wasn't it yeah. Yeah yeah been the two year two years ago in the year before that. They're really good and then they they struggle and i think they're certainly to play well again atlanta united but yet The what they're what they the model they're doing at atlanta Is really great. Which i think all team should emulate is because they keep the concession stands low so the food and the drinks that keep them very low so everyone can afford it More people pay money there and then way they don't have to charge so much money for anything and the ticket. Prices are very low as well often often seems a trend in enrolled world. Sports is that you just raise the ticket prices. Every year right An atlanta really tries to keep it know steady so everyone can afford to games. Not just the rich i sing. That's a big reason why they get like fifty thousand plus fans at every game while they did not now anymore but that's neither selling at their football stadium which is amazing everyone the biggest crowds and mls. It's very reminiscent of a south american or european soccer game or football game because so many fans so many passionate fans of there and the stadium is amazing..
