"Just going ahead and here a few years ago. I'd like to mention it. Somebody say hello to Don. No, look at dawn. Did Jordan say, why did you bring this guy with sweatpants to the final? By the way, let me tell you now, we both give him a hook, didn't we? He is thinking a champagne. Oh, we did have any footage of you given anyone hugged on you. A little bit like an outsider. Asking who your allegiance is to just say ESPN and political corporate cover. Yeah, there you go. Very good. Simple. Don, John, address and the criticism that there's been on social media about your outfit today. I don't think you're the man done, but I'll take it from anyone else. What's the rumors what you're saying? And they're saying you shouldn't have wear sweat sweatpants to a final. Oh dear, is that what they're saying? Bashing Daniel fashion. And maybe you could have worn a belt. Don't need a bell. What do you know about when you got a lace? There's no just no hoops. To casual suit. The casual day. It's the FA Cup Final. It's the Pinnacle of the English Canada. It's been there before. He's lived this. Escorted me. You might as well come his pajamas, you know what I mean? What difference does it make? They did come on. Yeah, exactly. Gentlemen, thank you as always. Good luck getting back home. Much appreciated. Looking at this, what you got from it. By the way, you went for a big walk during this broadcast. Juxtaposition. I did. It came out nice, isn't it? It came out not bad for you. I know. Normally, two syllables. Dangerous. Are you happy? Or more concerned if you're Real Madrid. With what happened today? Oh. Well, you know they've gone. If you read my read, you go and hold again. Yeah. You're hopefully going to hopefully get beat. Right. Just because just because there's nothing worse than getting beaten and can't final. It takes something to know. Well, I'm happy I'm thinking I'm looking at watching it, that is. So I'll go off and seeing Van Dyck gone off, even though we don't know, but it could just be to give him a rest or maybe there was a little nagle, then all for being your is going to be probably fat, but it could be touch and go. Again, they've had a 120 minutes in the pressure of penalties. So it's not been a cake walk for them, and it wasn't a cakewalk at vela park in medicine. Now that's too tough games. Yeah. And the space and spares as well, you can add to that. So in the space of 7 days and valeria, you can add to that. Of games where Real Madrid let's be honest, I haven't. Yeah, so there's no doubt the legs are getting taken at the moment. And that's why Jürgen Klopp, the manager here, and we're just about to hear from him. We'll make, I would imagine a lot of changes. Let's hear from him now with Alexis. Thanks so much, dad. I'm here with the manager of the moment. You're again just a couple of weeks ago. You told me how much you really wanted this one. Now you are an epic up final champion you've led your troops to it. In case anyone needs a reminder, how does it feel? Both class outstanding. It's perfect moment. An incredibly difficult game against incredible good opponent. Going again when I'm 20 minutes on matchday, 60 for us or.

"Game on a Saturday for then a game on a Tuesday. So I guess he'd be out looking at it. Yeah, Salah, I'm sure he'll be there as well. I think in the back of the back of their mind, I think they're preparing probably for most Salah and Virgil for the Champions League Final with fabinho. They're getting them boys fit. They're saying, don't worry about midweek. We've got enough. We've got enough cover. Yeah. For sure. I think for me, I think they will, if they're close to fitness, they'll take them along and if they need to use them in the game, I think they will. As opposed to just leave them in Liverpool because at the end of the day, they're down here now. And are they going to fly back to Liverpool tonight to then come back down on Monday, I'm not too short. So I guess I'll just stay part of the group. First, if mine city when tomorrow is pretty much over. But it's going to make a raft of changes. You probably make even more of that happens. There's no way of Van Dyck's plan. Not in a million years. There's no way robots playing. Alexander Ann was not playing. Thiago's not playing. You know, joins were public play. Well, not play. So that will not play. My name will probably not play. You're probably looking to get your boots on, Stevie. Jota. You probably are looking at Jota and a regi. And what other? For me. It's not a disaster. They can pick a second team. Well, almost a certainty in with two or three stellar surviving from this. And go down and still be way stronger than Southampton, who have been struggling to play. There are only beats, but not for me to play for. But tomorrow I could dictate it somewhat with city, but also it's not going to dictate it too much. It's going to have to make a big lump of changes anyway. And he's got the squad to do it. When we saw some taking that penalty, whenever robots has been out there, he's done a really good job, you know. It's not quite as dynamic as robots. But he's a little solid guy. Get stuck in. What's the defend and will get forward? So yeah, lots of changes and will still be favorites to win that game. Brazil team and so he should. Right, absolutely. You got to be realistic. You know, I think I said it earlier. To jeopardize the Champions League Final by playing some players, and a situation where not only is it not in your hands, but something absolutely extraordinary, crazy, is going to have to happen. So to players that need a break would be absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I think you'll be lucky if you see two players that stop the dust game today. You might see cater. And after that, I'm not really sure I can't think of anybody else that I would play. Everybody else should play. And the others stay at home, get your feet up and watch the game on a TV. Of course, when you're at Wembley, what you were dancing with the Watford mascot. I think I was forced to do this. Are you enjoying yourself? Mascot's made him. Chain with Jordan Henderson and James Milner as well. Where did you tell him your allegiance lied today? Let's talk about my legions. They know who I am. I just love football Dan. We try to start any trouble at you. Don't be like that. Yeah, it's a little football. It's great to be another FA Cup final. We've done, you know, it was great with the audience. "Lexus the audience now is joined by the hero goalkeeper for Liverpool Allison. Yeah, thanks so much, Dan. Hero goalkeeper indeed, Allison, congratulations, the FA Cup is finally yours. Tell me how this feels 'cause you're gonna even spoke this week about how much you guys desperately wanted this one. That was amazing. Like we won the League Cup. But we need the FA Cup as well as something amazing. The atmosphere on the pitch was fantastic from the supporters. Like against the big club against Chelsea, really good team, really tough side to play against. It's difficult always. And also going into a penalty shootout need to keep the mind calm to make the best of the largest they did amazing. Shooting. And then I just need to make one save wasn't enough. Well, as the boys are celebrating with you, their water keeper, they said, indeed, a very, very crucial save. But during the match, of course, is a goalkeeper you get to watch and you saw how many chances they had when it eventually went to extra time and then penalties what was going through your mind. Just I'm there to do my job to be honest. I'm always focused even if I don't make any saves in the game. I'm always ready and prepare myself to be at the best level as possible in the match and today I was needed. Doing a few saves playing from behind. But the players, my teammates, they did fantastic fantastic job. We played so well. We deserve the win in the normal time. But a final is sometimes it's not a clean win. You need to fight for it. You need to give everything that you have. We did that in the extra time with passion. Everyone was exhausted to be honest. But in the end, happy and for us..

"Hello, welcome to latest edition of ESPN AFC. I'm Dan Thomas joined by Craig Burley and is Stevie nickel as we continue our coverage of a Liverpool. Winning the FA car final out for a penalty shootout against the Chelsea. We're bringing the highlights and the reaction from the boys in a moment. But let's go to Wembley, shall we go pitch si NATO manure and Don Hutchinson is with us. Don, in the end, far from a classic final, but Liverpool won't care. They won't care me and Ned and we're sat in the Liverpool end and honestly, Dan, it was emotional. The supporters were incredible. I mean, the drama on the pitch. I mean, we were trying to figure out players going off injured, players may be rested for next week or the champs League final, which so many players getting taken off the pitch in so many players being on brought on the pitch and being able to both look at Alison then I think we both think we both forgot it got lost how his performance was. It was incredible. It was really really good. And I think that's what they needed today. Like that penalty saved. I'm against for a while, that's a great scene. And I just, at that point, after that did many students miss the money missing, you're thinking, well, the momentum of Chelsea now but then lo and behold, the moment step, so you can make something as close up penalty and a place around us goes well. Don't include it, by the way. Don't need to look at the pound each year out when Manet stepped up and had that penalty saved. That must have changed the whole juxtaposition of the crowd around you. Yeah. It was instead of saying what if a Liverpool fans because obviously we're trying to very, very quickly, you're trying to work out on a Senegalese boy just his teammates and all of it comes together and you think he read him and then to answer that. Obviously there's no guarantee with this, but when Chelsea win the toss and they're in their end and they win the toss and they get to go first. You think everything's leading towards them. They've just got to show you no, it's never done at that point, but fair play for the forget the result. That was a tough game, especially in the extra time. You can see the buddies that were down, but this is part of the journey. And I'll say as a blue I understand it. I understand what it's like. You said to me afterwards, you said you feel it now. You get it now. I totally get it. You know what I mean? Like, you don't spend a lot of time around on the cloves. And to be this little pull in, you can sow a feel that sort of long-term history, what it means to the people when the players connected with the fans as well. So could it sort of who knows? Maybe they'll finish with one this year, but not two is a very strong start now. And what's interesting,.

"That get on that get into that mindset. This is the problem. He finished, he finished as if he was aware of that moment. He got taken off straight away. Yeah, he finishes if he was aware of destiny because it's devastating that he did that. Yeah, yeah. God, Jesus so sad and the way the city dispatched Southampton. And you know what's quite demoralized about that is because you're so close to the glory. And I'm not saying that you're going to be satisfied with playing in a semifinal, but you're a game away from the actual final and if you beat city in a cup competition like the FA Cup and it would be brilliant underdogs and then you get to Wembley and in all of a sudden we could see one of those unbelievable underdog finals against one of the top teams in a city literally again business like absolutely. It was cruel. I think pep enjoys like the Haas and hurtle rivalry. I think he enjoys playing against those thinkers. More than he enjoys playing against not the old managers aren't think I'm not saying that, but he enjoys that process of brutal outlook. As early round of the FA Cup, I think it was last year when it was a really, they had three late goals. I think city, but it was Neil little till very, very late. The team just really went at them in quite a sort of not a reductive way, but quite a lot of aggressive and just uncertain way just disrupting their rhythm and everything. And yes, this was also let's give credit to city because they're just that they're in a very really good flow actually. They may not be always like scoring the goals they want to in terms of expected goals, but like they're in a good flow in terms of the way the players interchanging passing moving is just a lot of different levels. Foden's goal as well is photon's goal was a goal that was just like, there you go. That's got that. So it was so good. Yeah, it was..

"To sell Chelsea still dominating the headlines in the UK, Julian Laurent is joining us now to bring us up to date with the latest. Thanks for being with us Jules. What can you tell us? Okay, developing very quickly in the sense that hence your sorry, the Swiss billionaire who lives in the U.S.. And his partner, he's associate in this day, taught beauty the owner and the American billionaire funds two more I'm being two more partners to be able to pour a good offer on the table for Chelsea football club to remind Abramovich as early as this weekend potentially they said before this week that he could not go on his own that he did other people with him like a consortium or very rich people, which he clearly has found now. And I think this is the biggest challenge if you want, finding the right people to put something together, it looks like they have now. And I think a lot of people around the sale and involved in the sale expected to go quite quickly now in the sense that by the weekend we could have an official offer a concrete offer from these consortium, this and his partners to Roman Abramovich for the set of the club. We don't know yet the valuation, of course, and this is to be discussed. We know that the deaths that shall see the money that shall see as a football club still all to run Abramovich is not there anymore. That rumor which has decided to let down on the sides. So it's just done purely to the valuation of the football club as a business, really, and I think once they find an agreement, this could go very quickly. And then we'll be waiting obviously for the primary approval, et cetera, et cetera, valleys between the two parties that could reach an agreement very quickly. At naden, what were your initial thoughts when you saw the reports of Abramovich looking to sell Chelsea? Sorry, could you say that again, please? Yeah, what were your initial thoughts when you saw the news that Roman Abramovich was looking to sell Chelsea football club? It came as a surprise to me, but then as you do more of your reading and get sort of feel for people's mindsets, I think in some ways it makes sense because there were so many eyes that were sort of turning on him turning on Chelsea football club and somebody who has significant links to say potentially has links to Vladimir Putin and so on. People saying, well, why is he being allowed to be able to own one of our football clubs in our place when so many of the Russians and a lack of being sanctioned? So I think for him, he thought the best mode of action was going to be this. And to access swiftly and so have potentially new buyer like that. I guess overall he's trying to do in the best institute of Chelsea football club, but then also not lose out too much himself. But the questions will definitely be there, especially going into the League Cup final. If the club would have won it, people would be saying, oh, but here's a prominent Russian winning one of our domestic competitions at a time when allegedly, you know, we're holding sanctions against other people from that country so it was the time of it, I guess it makes sense given the current geopolitical situation, but yes, it's the strange time if you I guess if you're a Chelsea 'cause it's an end of a very significant era and you have your you have your feelings about stuff that's going on over in Eastern Europe, but the fact is it feels like it's the right decision and hopefully can go through and people can be more at peace with it all. Yeah, in terms of the Premier League nadam, how much did he actually change the landscape in English football? Especially with big money takeovers happening at clubs in the Premier League. Yeah. Yes, like I said, it's been a very significant era. I think some people would have criticism criticisms that maybe he's had too many managers and alike. And you know, you could argue that it's true. But the fact is he's brought a lot of success to Chelsea. You know, they have been like other sides and they have been able to spend a lot of money. We've seen some of the best and most talented players through that year were coming to the Premier League playing for Chelsea. You've seen them win domestically. You've seen them win in Europe. And don't get it twisted, they were a very good site before that. But there's been a different feel about Roman Abramovich Chelsea. They've won so many trophies. I think since the new Wembley open, they've been there more than any other side. And you can see a lot of that is down to him and his stewardship is understanding of the Premier League. His understanding of what it is to sort of be a part of Chelsea. From what I've gathered, it seems like the fans have loved him because he's brought those great moments to them. So I think credit to him for the work that he's done in that time, but in terms of going forward, I think it's fair that most people would rather not see him in charge of the football club anymore. Nadan, thanks for being with us. We're going to let you get dry now and we'll see you tomorrow to talk about the Manchester Derby. With pleasure, take care. All right, just when you thought the talk of the Super League may have gone away for a while, you're wrong. This is Alexander sefer in the UA for president talking about the latest update saying first they started with this nonsense idea in the middle of the pandemic. And now I keep reading articles that they're planning something else in the middle of a wall. They live in a parallel world. Javier Teva salis president said we know this is what they're working on. If Andrea and yelli doesn't explain it, he will be lying three teams met in his house. Every time I read about it, I get angry. I think they lie more than Putin, if I'm being honest. And yelling himself said the Super League hasn't failed. I will not accept questions.

"They have players with ability going forward. Who is the Gale to break teams down? And if you can't break more and wood down, you know, how do you think you're going to do it against other Premier League states? Well, that would be the one what if you're flying? Do you think then with that, though, done, the fact that there were some players injured and cock tide? You can find what he needs there. Yeah, I'll get where Stevie's coming from and he's right on that performance, but I think if you added dele Alli and probably Donnie van der beek, who obviously couldn't play the pair of them, you add that to a Solomon Rondon, you add that to richarlison, you adapted the core, he's the most important player, I think. I know we talk about Dominic Calvert Lewin and wrap him up in cottonwood, but is a midfield player. And there's 11 X player and fans that have followed on social media and we have interaction, decorate makes them tick. He's the man that's just so good. He sees a picture. He plays good passes. He runs forward, defends, he's got the lot, he's a fantastic player. So if you're Frank Lampard now and the coach and stuff, you know, you wrap him up in cotton wool and you get them ready for top number because that's going to be a totally different game away from home. And that's what Frank's been stressed and he's been stressed and look at home but good as soon we got belief away from whole home, excuse me. They are a little bit more fragile. One of the things we did see before this game kicked off was emotional scenes before kick-off and it shows the support for Ukraine, Vitaly Mika lenco, captain in his side today. And leaving his homeland in January when he signed for Everton, obviously with Russia's invasion of his native Ukraine, there's been a big showing of support for him and none more so than from his captain Frank Lampard today, Don, given him the captain's armband. It's amazing, another brilliant story from the FA Cup and you know, when we get old, meaning the likes of Stevie, we've got old codgers. We get a little bit emotional every now and again. We do, we think of the game's gone by and things that have touched you over the years. And he'll remember that Michelin goal. He'll remember that when he's sitting watching the telly when he's retired or he might think about it tomorrow, but certainly when he's retired and he'll think of English football and he'll think that and Everton football club will have touched him. Brilliant from Frank Lampard given the armband really emotional scenes before the kick-off as he led the team out onto Goodison Park to the tunnel and that will stay with him for the rest of his life. Everton now through to the last day of the FA Cup, where they will face Crystal Palace. Nothing frozen hood is field to take on Liverpool depends on who wins that one on Monday, Middlesbrough, a home against Chelsea, and Southampton also at home against man city, the draw was made before the game today, much as we'll be played the weekend of March 19th and 20th. You like that for Liverpool Stevie? One of those two? Yes, absolutely. Listen to the team from the lower league, still in a competition. You want them. And as good as good as some of the championship teams have done in the tournament, there's no way you're going to back any of them against the top clubs. And you're certainly not going to buy this or anything else against Liverpool. So yeah, I'm quite happy. It's a win win, isn't it? Because they probably want the big teams like Liverpool as well at this stage in this tournament. Yeah, absolutely. And I guess if you're them, you want to be at home as well. So they've got that, which gives an extra little bit of incentive, but no, if you live a pool, you're happy. Yeah, and he surprises that you think might happen from this quarterfinal drawdown. I've got a gut feeling for Southampton K against man city that the form side side arms and I think that might sort of rest a few. I know it's the sort of quarter finals and everyone thinks that you might go strong. And he probably will because they're a strong outfit and they've got a strong squad, but the form of Ralph Hassan noodle's men might scare them. I think Thomas Tuchel's men have got to play a lot better than they did against Luton because Middlesbrough as we've seen knocking out spurs and they can dominate and they can beat anyone. I agree with Stevie. I think when you have got palace, which is sometimes a hard place to go, you know, away from home, the atmosphere there can be pretty hostile. When you go to forest, they're a good football inside. Same as Huddersfield, but the pitch is good. It's not too hostile, so Liverpool, I would imagine, will go through there and all fancy the chances for sure. So Everton, through to the last day, but they got a battle on their hands in the Premier League, as you can see there in 17th, just behind leads united who have hired a new manager in Jesse Martin in the press conference after his signing was announced he was asked about American coaches taking charge of European football.

"Welcome to the latest edition of ESPN FC. K Murray here in the studio with Casey Keller and Craig Burley and we'll be looking back on the fourth round FA Cup game between Manchester United and middle to run ahead to the rest of the games that are coming up this weekend. We'll also be talking about the return of domestic football Bundesliga and La Liga much to discuss on the show. So initial thoughts on this one, what we do know is that Manchester United are out of the FA Cup. It was a penalty shootout against Middlesbrough. There were some controversial moments in it. No, there were. And Manchester United started the game very brightly. They should have scored the penalty from Ronaldo uncharacteristically pulls it wide. And then had some chances Middlesbrough rode their luck a couple different times. But then came out second half. And deserved the equalizer now should have been called back because of the handball. Craig and I both clearly agree that it should have. But hey, bills, bro, kept fighting, kept going, got to extra time, made things difficult, and then talk about some quality penalties. There are some conspiracy theories out there that people think I'm just rolled into this studio, every time Manchester United lives up to not true. Because this game was there for them to win. Although I've been doing well recently under Chris wilder has been in there for a couple of months now. Very experienced manager on the up in the championship. Definitely. The way this game started just smelled of three or four nail job done, but they didn't do it. They didn't put metals Braille away when they had the chance and they allowed them to build in confidence. They allowed them to become more dangerous in the second half, they started creating chances. They got the goal, albeit it was controversial, but then after that, united still had a good hour of extra time to put them away. And they didn't do it. You can look at per player. You can look at finishing from Bruno Fernandes, which is all true. But this just goes down as good as this is from Middlesbrough. And this is brilliant as you well know for that part of the country. And that term and that club. Particularly with the momentum, this could give them for a championship challenge to the playoff. This is just another embarrassment. Another copy book of this so far shambolic Manchester United season, which has gone from bad results to a sacking of a manager to all sorts of unrest, it seems at the training ground, other stories and new manager, same old problems and now an embarrassing home defeat, not good enough for man united, absolutely brilliant for Meadows. Well, let's take a look back at how it's all went down in this game. It's kicking off the weekend as well,.

I think you know i think what facebook would do is design it so that it doesn't collect data but that's not the only hazard go ahead. I'm sorry stacey no it's not just well. "Does he take to technician at the. Fa can you tell us what kind of training does one need. Sure so one of the awesome things i think about being a technician is our positions are so varied. There's so many different types of equipment that people can be working on so there's not an amount of training. That's really necessary to do this job. I mean it just depends on what it is. We get those military folks because they do have that training but we grab folks. it backgrounds. We have folks that are mechanical backgrounds. We have folks that are just kind of power system backgrounds that are working on h. Back and stuff like that because we need all of that to make sure that we're getting this work. Done h is particularly important because especially here in california. This equipment gets hot. It's just gonna shut down so it's a really important aspect but one of the best things about the technicians. You actually get that training once you come here so if you've already kind of worked in field that is marketable you're able to actually go train on the specific equipment and that's one of the best things about being a technician with the faa. When i came on with the agency. I went to radar concept school. I went to eleven squad. Didn't go to general radar. School actually learned the radar. On which i was going to be working. I went to two star school. I went to arts tweets. This is all just equipment and other just acronyms but everything that we work on. They send us to school specifically for that equipment and so you feel a lot more comfortable with that so really coming on. You don't need a ton of training. I mean if you have something. That's in the realm of it of of electronics systems of electrical systems h. Fac if you've got that background that'll get you in the door pretty easily and then when you get here. That's when you really get your training done and that's when you really learn exactly what you need to do.

"You feel. The luxury sector was changed. So it's been a really crises as said on the world economic forum that its global reset. What's this global research done for luxury for. Harvey nichols affect you. What you do. I would say i think. Obviously the look terrific harvey nichols includes obviously taken like a big hit in colorado as well as many of the browns in the sexes. So i think a lot of bronze and like trying to promote with more long term strategies. Now in terms of like back in you know like we've stole what's being close. I think about now about the strategy of you know what to do to bring those customers back into stores and things like that and to be fair and still did quite well during kobe through our online website him. Yes so we were still running through carbon and things like that we we still keep the business going so we actually still did really well and surprisingly are found that people are still shopping and i think now the focus is more being more creative thing and thinking more on. Fa in how to still put your message out there so that customers are still buying in like. I'm sure everyone that is not really been any fashion shows anymore. I think they're starting back up again now but things that like bronze of hunter just be more creative now. In terms of putting their collections out there and just keep customers like engaged and for harvey nichols. We're definitely trying to push more editorial stories. Now i think people are really interested in that sort of thing and i think that just you know opens up scope in terms of what we offer to our customers and also like with our stores reopening recently. Where getting back into like experiences that we have like in store such as giving customers rewards like we have our rewards app and it gives customers points and things like that so it kind of encourages to come back into the store and shot with a issue. I think it's just about a love. Customer with scott. Sorry iran's a so important. "Let's start in the premier league. Just the one match on friday but a pretty good one at that at least dramatic manchester city four three winners over newcastle actually had to come from behind twice did city and thanks to a federal authorities. Who Needs the Europa League Title Most?

"Here's your to win. The europa league manchester united installed his early favorites. Actually co-favorites with spurs english teams. One two three even arsenal getting a better odds to in the euro league van c milan. Let's focus in on those three english clubs specifically their managers. Craig i'll start with you. Which is three need to win the europa league. Most i suppose seventy one hundred in milan because the book is going through. That could be the only reason i passed. Thank josiah marines. When there's the most. Because i think he's the mine under most pressure. His league possession at moment stinks the team's performances have been pretty rotten in terms of on the eye on the country mile off the top four. At one point the talk was others team in the title race and so he needs to deliver something otherwise. He's under severe pressure. I mean you could say well attack. The does he's got cut behind them transition to ask no. I think he's pretty safe there and they talk for. There's no doubt about so. I actually think marinas the mon- needs it. The most stevie you agree they still got a shot at hardware in the league cup final. They got a shot at top six. Maybe an outside shot at top four spurs really. Need this most absolutely think so. Yeah arsenal. yeah we think point lead over you. He's he's got an f. e. cop behind them less than two months ago so he's fine creek said during transition marino. Another honda is is is not in my opinion going to be in the top four. That's why he was brought and it wasn't brought in to do anything else so it's important that he does produced. So we're because that will deflect away from what has jaw was and the premier league and unfortunately for him yes. He's a the problem is they'll position gsa city who nobody wants to face. So i'm one hundred percent we create. This is absolutely marino. And tom mark from the manchester united perspective. Just how important is this to jar. His record and cup. Tournaments is well documented over four in finals. Big without first trophy be. I think it needs to win one soon. Because it's now four years when united trophy on a long time and they always have the opportunity in the kaaba cup of one. One that need is more than tottenham because five years at the champions league. The asked really really the champions football. I it's sick of being semi-finalists are knocking on the door. They're not gonna win the primarily this season to trophies. This is man united. We're talking about. We're talking about the process itself alongside by munich real madrid barcelona as one of the biggest club in the world. The biggest clubs in the world win trophies and is now four years since one. United one one-stroke trophy with the minor the minor cops. Let's be honest. The league company europa league in two thousand seventeen. They haven't won a big trophy since whilst explosion retired. Let's be honest. The two thousand thirteen primarily because even fa co-ops and the von hall didn't really count towards the biggest trophy so united. Need over the start winning again. And i think social really needs it but if he doesn't win a trophy this season i don't think it'll be the end of their old firm. I think you'll still be there. But i do think the to kick on become this team is going to challenge for the majors. They have to win something. So craig no no i just think off the bucket marks point that yet yeah financially obstacle. But we're talking about modules marina for the reasons that steve and i say and and say well and it's a big f because it's not you know some good teams in there. They say it was a year in the league and we lost hurricane and we will see all these excuses. You'll save won the europa league a nuts champions league football because that's the carrot dangled for when the euro league note from a united perspective. As augie said you know when you're polite for them and their historical standpoint is neither here in the last good marino himself. He delivered second-place mandated. Emily he delivered the gop league undesirable cup. So they've done recently. They really need to be the primarily title at least go neck and neck all the way until publiz reasons you take a trophy as a manager and you would take if you united but really the dining a much. Chelsea, Southampton secure FA Cup quarter-final berths

"Just a couple of matches on this thursday southampton beating wolves score of to nothing and chelsea one winners away to barnsley. Tammy the goal in the sixty third minute. Chaka his lobster robson frank. Leboeuf join us for more frank. Start with you very impressive from chelsea. Would you not very impressive. But the most important thing is to go through When you play against so-called lower team or smaller team boss well default how the way they had to the field. Remind me The the way we used to play the ethica many years ago or to kind of two decades ago it was a wasn't pleasant game to watch but for chelsea the main thing is to go through indeed. Because of graham. One neil off you go home and you think about the quarterfinal. That's the only thing we can say. Jaakko what was worse chelsea through the first hour of the match. The pitch pitchers kind of paul for the costs from from bucknell d. That was decent pitch. But not i understand the issues that pitch like that might read And similarly bentley just made it difficult for chelsea. They will predictable i. I didn't see them scoring other on. I kept mystique trust the job done. That's that's the only important thing interesting. raba what did you think the match There are plenty of chances for barnes. The thought shock watches different game. Well a couple of chances but chelsea made it really difficult for themselves. Everybody was talking about bounds. They've done the homework bounds leader. We're going to press her out the field they we're gonna make it difficult. They were going to put their from. Plays and stop josie planet from the back. So what did chelsea duplat from the back on a bubbly bitch kept on giving it away midfield and they made it difficult for themselves. It was crying out. It had to be the case that josie when in behind them and they didn't do that until it was too late but they just about eight dumb bravo. it's four straight wins now for chelsea undertook. Oh can you see some signs of progress. Not today i couldn't but in in the league games they have been a slight improvement. I think he knows what he wants. From these teams play with a back three for those three games. I think he knows exactly what he wants. Midfield he's wingback high up the field as well the area where we sort changed. It is whether it's play with mainstream ensues slot in behind him or two strikes wanting behind but you can see what he's trying to do. I think the players know exactly what he's trying to do. Somalias political problem

"The logic of defined political terms that they provide the body politic with the sort of inoculation against what usually results when one person holds power to loan going back to the voters every so often to ask whether or not they won't. The person in charge to crack on is a sensible precautionary measure. See also the term limit. Which in some jurisdictions imposes a ceiling on the talk any single citizen may occupy the big desk there is however and as somalia. Is this week discovering an inbuilt floor with the setup at the moment the term elapses either the incumbent needs to have a renewed mandate in their pocket or a successor has to be ready to take the oath of office. The time of somali president mohamed abdullah muhammad better known as fa- modu was up on monday however because no elections have been held. No president has been chosen. Several opposition factions and two of somalia's five states have declared that they will no longer recognized for marjo as president before we look at what happens next spoiler alert very possibly nothing. Good a brisk. Recap of the backstory is probably in order the new president from i. I'm i'm very happy today. Because the new president's da for mall. Joe was elected in two thousand and seventeen. The idea had been that this was going to be a proper one person. One vote direct election but it was decided probably correctly that the polling stations and qs. Office somalia's various incorrigible militant groups rather too many targets. Instead from our joe was elected by somalia's parliament which is also not directly elected but instead chosen via a framework which has power among somalia's clans and states. This is a necessarily complex apparatus. Many of the clans dislike each other and a few of the states Iffy on whether they even think they're part of somalia says much about what somalia's mp's were up against when they chose the president that this vote was held not in the parliament building in mogadishu but in a heavily guarded and fortified hangar at aden a international airport and only after it had been closed to air traffic and mogadishu's roads closed to all traffic. It had been hoped for a while that by the end of joe's term somalia would by now being a position to conduct a more orthodox one person one vote direct election. What would have been somalia's first such since nineteen sixty nine however this was eventually reckoned once again an unacceptable security risk specifically that to hold such a vote would have been asking somalis to bet too large a steak on the goodwill of the islamic terror group al shabaab covid nineteen ni- certainly being vastly under recorded in somalia provided further discouragement. So this election was to have been another indirect one though with a broader pool of delegates but for modules opponents believed or purported to believe that the president had been stacking the regional and national electoral board's with his political allies. Which is why we are where we are or perhaps more accurately a delayed election israeli a good thing but it doesn't have to be the end of the world since the beginning of the covid nineteen pandemic at least forty national votes of various sort have been delayed and around thirty five regional or local elections in places where the democratic architecture is solid. This will bailey count. As a wobble especially at subnational national levels it will not cause the citizens of new south wales to question the legitimacy of the democracy if they have to put up with their local councillors another year. Ditto those of london as regards the mayor but when the stakes are as high as national government and the foundations much less stable. Such a jolt can have more dangerous consequences. a delayed. Parliamentary election has already triggered a war in ethiopia in an ominous. And surely not coincidental gesture. Shortly after somalia's politicians failed to reach agreement at the latest talks in. Do some marib an shebab. Roadside bomb struck a military convoy near the town killing thirteen people. And then there's at the security council condemned terrorist attacks by al-shabaab they reaffirmed their support for national sovereignty territorial integrity and political independence of somalia from jo now plans to meet with state leaders next week in an attempt to locate a compromise. It has to be hoped that they find one. Nowhere on earth is a power vacuum good thing and nowhere on earth is a power vacuum a worst thing as recent history has repeatedly demonstrated funding somalia.

"What's wally. Hey bobby how are you. I'm good today. we have. I believe our guests and all four guests have been very different but all help pilots who spend time behind the prop. Today we have ray the elbow with us. He owns any aviation and has done ninety nine percent of the maintenance work from my flight school and many of the people on the airport. Welcome to the show. Ray thank you. Thank you for having me. We get asked a lot of systems questions while the and i do and there's obviously a lot of maintenance that goes on and i spend a lot of time on the phone. I wish i actually talked to you. A little less ray but We spend a lot of time on the phone with each other and we wanted to have. Ray come talk to all the listeners. A little bit about what goes on in the world of maintenance maybe share some tips and tricks and some things that maybe people should be doing that. They're not doing on a regular basis So ready to get started. Tell us a little bit about you. Your background kind. Of all of your acronyms that are at the end of your name. So we understand what you're able to craft and stuff like that Well my my most of my experience comes from general aviation got about one year airline experience but mainly generally it's about twenty two years now I i have an mp in and i Which pretty much mainly mainly means. I could sign off. Annuals and three seven's does the i. I think it comes up a lot where somebody said. Hey you have to have an eye for that. And i don't think i think people just know of an acronym but what does that really mean it stands for inspection authorization okay and it's it's really not a certificate or license is just an authorization to sign off annuals and three three sevens which are major repairs and alterations Other than that you're. Emp's what you really use. Why does so. Maybe i'm wrong. But i have this perception that very few. Amp's haven't a or not what was a very few have an. I is that true and is it hard to get her. it's it's it can be a little difficult to get For starters you gotta have Three years in the field And you got. It's only a written test but the test is very difficult for me. It is right. I'm not a good test taker but it's difficult only because they just made it that way And unless you're out there doing annuals and actually doing three three seven's you really don't need it. Uranium p mostly everything. You can do If you're working out in the industry and the airline you'll never use the i In general aviation. Use it every day if you're doing annuals and major alterations and repairs Which is why a lotta. Ap's don't get it. I got it. I have to have it because we run a shop. So we gotta sign off annuals and we do. Stc's all the time required three three seven. So that's why i have it And then again you know you got to report to the fa When you have sure how more than you would with ampy sure we. We also share a lot of friends in common pilots both on the field and around the city You have a huge. I would say fan. Following lots of people speak very highly of your work and unease work. Tell people that might not be right here around us. What kind of work. You do how you help. Pilots get their planes back in the air just a little bit in case somebody wants to fly down and have you do their annual forms. Well mainly You know we stay busy with strictly. Piston aircraft We we do so many of them you know we could turn them pretty quick We know all their quirks We know pretty much where to get the parts In a timely manner right and that's that will help keep the airplane flying which is what most owners want In pretty much we have the crew at the shop to do it We have a person that does strictly she metalwork. We have one guy that does you know. It's real good at electrical so he keeps up with the electrical portions and all that combine helps. You know the shot move move a lot quicker And makes everything go a lot smoother in the long run. Saving time downtime and money for custom

Of course unlike Evan furnace looked for casper. "Of a player like he is such a good player and if decide to sell them he's going to impact title rates somewhere. You have to think somebody who's interested in winning a title in some countries GonNa want prayer. Emmerick Obama young because he is just so good. I want to sing the praises of their manager. Because I am Fan of our Tata's and he might also be the type of manager. That convinces ownership look. We don't need to make changes second half the season after we hired our data. We're actually in European position with this manager. We have big wins over overmanned city. We have a big wins over Liverpool. We have a cup final victory over London rivals in Chelsea. We like our chances with this squad and with this manager. So there's certainly a case to be had but I do think given how arsenal operates not having faith in this ownership group to get it right I think is the right call and this might actually come back to burn them in the long run. I do think arsenal are going to be tricky to play against next season because their manager has earned my respect. I know there is a very clear top or in everybody's mind. Don't do that every primarily go in with a certain top four and things shake out differently. Football is at Berry Berry funny game but Arsenal can compete with this manager. How are Chelsea going to play Liverpool and come away with this win advancing in the FA Cup. They are taking this seriously, and we're starting a boy and billy Gilmour. Eliminate Liverpool from the FA Cup. This was such a monumental match this one. I'm so happy. I am so happy Frank Lampard got dub. We are so close Chris the goal. Was Lot the expectations for Frank Lampard any new job he was taking. Could he finish outside the top four and keep his job? Of course absolutely anybody would give him the benefit of the doubt. Could he go and entire season without winning a trophy? Absolutely Josie Breen did that depends on how good your premier league season goes so close to finishing top for and getting a trophy his. His first full season as Chelsea manager with a team that went to Windows without any signings, a young young team that has battled through adversity and injury all season long. We are so close mission accomplished so close I'm so excited for the future of this club and if we just do that if we finish the job, I am going to be even more insufferable than I am. And there's really two matches left that determine whether or not you accomplish this goal. All of a sudden you become a Manchester United Fan and hope that they beat Leicester on the final day. That means Leicester's Champions League campaign is over there, not catching Chelsea, that's it job done and Chelsea can even win in mid week at Liverpool, and they could end the job themselves, and maybe spoil their title Lift Party, but either way all you need is managed to beat Leicester, and it's over because Lester lost today by three goals to nil. They've been dreadful for six months now. And today was the cap having been hammered by Tottenham Hotspur and as you. You said an FA Cup final against Arsenal having gotten to that aspect of it, another cup final against arsenal to come, and they had their own. You know I don't want to call a miracle. But their own surprise result against Manchester City that no one expected, and so you enter this final with a chance to get a trophy and get the top four trophy which I think a lot of clubs are yearning for so I. do want to mention one more game because you mentioned those five games that it's well how Frank Lampard going to do this. I do think early in the season. Ashley'll in the Champions League after they lost that first. First match against Valencia and it looked like well. If they don't get something from this game, they could really struggle to qualify to the champions, league remember during that group stage was Harry were not qualify, and they managed to Eke out those results, and really grind him out and ended up getting into the round of sixteen, which is big financial for the club. So there are moments where Franklin part is had to get it right and to date. I think he has. Yeah, you could probably lump in that win away. Against Wolves, said WHO can forget tomorrow. He's absolute world. One of the goals of the season that match. Yeah, there are moments in..

So who no I like it. But I I was I liked him. I like him too. I really like out. I know nasty. I saw my third eye. I don't even know if that's what it is. It is kind of. I know exactly what you're fun of on another show for this. I know, but it's okay. We don't care. Make fun of me to send the section of. But I really do like the thought if people are stressed out. All the time stress is the perception of threatening thought it's not even happening. Well. So many respects when I'm wound up about something. It's not about what's happening with what should happen. What if this happens? What if that have a threatening thought like, oh, my gosh was just too much? Get stressed out about all the things that for me Parang Zayed's. Yes. Typically exile is what called catastrophic thoughts when right away. You think the worst is going to happen? Right tremendously. Exciting. You realize there's no logic behind that. All well. If you grew up enough family of people that use the collar that what's behind. Doesn't completely because you never knew what was going to happen next or how your people were going to show up where they're going to be.

"Plus freedom on Saturday and that one Milwaukee Brighton game on Sunday. We'll be back for one final segment on that FA Cup podcast. Look ahead. A little bit to the semi finals wanna get you. It's on Wimbley. Welcome back to that. If they cut podcast ahead of the coda finals old four of which you can see on ESPN, plus only in the United States as you point out. Severe listening to this podcast in Madagascar out of luck. Right. This weekend. You have to go Monday against. Country popped into my head. I know we've got big it's normally Swindon. Nicoline? Poland is twinned Monday against. Yeah. Well, we've never been anywhere near the FA Cup quarterfinals in football tonight. You point out Lee cups, a different story. But this isn't that league up? No, not yet. So the prize for these eight teams not going to call them the elite eight, but these eight teams left in the FA Cup is a semi final place. And of course, the semi found news now both played Wimbley. It's been that way for the last decade changed over two thousand eight where they both the semi's and the final at Wembley. And of course, that isn't the way it was done. And you guys is heyday and you'll Paul what are your thoughts on on that because the places like Villa Park. And and there is the reason for that for me was because all Wimbledon is still sticks in my cruel. That wouldn't take any positive all Wembley to this. This new Lou Toco stunned this state of you know, stunned it just because it's new. It's just you know, when the traditional when you win the fake Colt, you go this das-, you're in full view of your found do X. This changed it because I don't watch the final too often notice used to you go and disappear more subtle. It was over a billion dollar stadium. You can't zone stirs correctly. From the no she's another little piece that was exactly that was part of the tradition. It made it so good. It's just choke till we throw any the same. As you talk to these news news was over of up salute. And it used to be twin towers. Oh, I mean, if I said to any football phone or do you remember the twin toes, right? That's what you were going for that was the romance. There in royalty before the game. You shaking on the wall. The lineup still on a boat is it's it's gone. A little and they used to be very sort of practical elements to it was for the fans as it wasn't it. I mean, if there was a Nolan team seven you play you'd meet in the Middle East Midland now, if you go to Manchester teams, and they both go to travel down to down to Wembley. It's it's known since. Yeah. Money-making? Sold as I mean, initially the reason behind was obviously after the hosmer tragedy. Yeah. Was fair enough. Because it was it was the stadium that was equipped to take out the tiny the numbers and the numbers. But since then you go in and we'll know around the country, then every stadium as equipped. No to take him final, of course. Because of the money they don't want. Switch it right. They had a reason to short which was a good reason code safety. That isn't the case. No hasn't been the case for many many years to be on us, but he can do because they'll calling the first time, by the way, they did do this was was just a couple of days after that the hills Burji it was if you can remember the semi final. It was it was ninety one at Wembley. It was it was an offline Dhabi. So it made perfect sense to do it. Didn't. It was awesome Spurs that was the gas going. Remember that one? But then they kept on trying to do a little bit in the nice. And they went back to when they make decisions for football reasons. Yeah. Then we can't complain about. Yeah. As you said it was perfect for there's enough on the where you can get ninth..

"Also welcome. I tell Bonetti to this show got more coffee here. A little later on bring some proper Italian analysis. Rounds through this. It started early. Didn't. It w county that one win the way against Atkins Stanley goal. This between bright and West Brom. Donham caster reiver's one victory over Oldham. Meanwhile, Manchester to city made easy work of Burnley five nil that one finished one one between borough and Newport county what food making eleven changes in game, but beating Newcastle by those and they'll pump one QBR one shows town to wolves to Swansea. They foreign victory of Jillian mill three Evison to inch to AFC Wimbledon four rising Premier League West Ham United. So then all the big stories today, which one called the Scott me your old boys in his West Ham disappoint. I mean Pellegrini making changes understandably, but still understandably because your blue. Not going to go down playing against a team that a bottom of league one and even to as much as made changes to the side that should've won and won comfortably address and goal of front. You've got Carol Hernandez. This is a team that was easily strong enough to to beat Wimbledon. Three changes meet at halftime. And still no really fact that for me was was disappointing pedigree needs face on the sidelines of the game tool. The entire story. Disappointing of West Ham fans, but for neutral kind of nice Ryan's agree game. If until sagana credit got into a little little stadium, chocolate, not such a little study. I thought Millwall to death thought the funds we're talking about the role months. Difficult silver is on the pressure. The manager Everton pledged to decent side. Yeah. Book the Millwall players, absolutely. Gave one hundred percent every single play. The funds were parts of that that victory for me today. Silvas must big trouble in big big trouble fume failing sit out you always hear the cliche of fake Cup. That it's worth Cinderella story happens. We saw that time and time again today in the fact that championships I like Millwall not even good championship side can make a Premier League manager's job in jeopardy like Marco Silva, maybe all the bad signings. We've seen from Everton the last year's really standing out. And you can't even be a champion inside. I wish was an isolated incident. I'm glad it's not because that's what makes all these games. Such good viewing gab mal. Cody. We'll sit out for you from the FA Cup today. Well, look, I mean, obviously, it's the two sides going out. I felt Marco Silva put out a side to win, and you know, shocking Chaka's right there, the eleven that Pellegrini. Put out was good enough to win maybe should have went. But the reality is you send a message when when you go, and and you send out the scrubs, you lose something in terms of chemistry. It's a totally different context. And I wish these teams like West Ham. Never chin would would realize. Well, I think do realize it, but you know for West Ham. You're not going to go down. You're not gonna finish top six. You know, that arsenal radio the competition Liverpool or out of the competition for all you know, in the next round. We might have a Manchester Darby and Chelsea playing Spurs. And so all of a sudden who knows this could be your year. What are you going to generate to give your fans excitement? What are you gonna do to write home about another eighth pace place finish the predator league? This is what it's all about. And I think it's disappointing. West Ham put out the side that they did. And and obviously got beat the mind. What are you doing? If US them familiar if you look at the evidence side that silver rolled out. It was his business. I. Okay. Ever tonight. Needed to win because of the momentum wrong. But look at West Ham and as much as you can say, yeah. But the in the pit should be able to this Wimbledon sign the talk to the pleasures been in the FA Cup talk. Listen to us that we put the ex-fighter is the ground and the crowd, the crowed absolutely live for these games. They Millwall founds ruled funds today. It was the everything planning this western, and you could hear it. They never stop chunten this right from the get-go. Absolutely. And you can see that. When the when the primarily plays came in the womb?.

"I mean, it's just amazing the joy that he brings to the funds though, when when you're in a lower, Tim, unless it's you know, there's the whole on the chance to the you can turn a team over. And when you do I mean the the phases in the crow ups crazy Southend show fan. You just means so big off uplifted with the money time was it easier being in on the dog. "Just like, but I mean, there's always been a knock on messy because it's always like, well, he doesn't really like he's not focal. He's not like Rinaldo. He doesn't have a presence. But like his skill on the field speaks for itself. He's more of like, he's not a shower. You know, he's gonna use more bite them. Bark. You know what I'm saying? So I think that just speaks levels to itself. So I don't know. I just I see the mayor Dona story. I see his comments on messy, and all I can think of is just like just shut up. Just just just just please shut up. That's that's all I gotta say did. It's an old man yelling at the sky for no reason. Exactly, he he knows that messy is not only a generational player. But he is a historical an iconic player, and I feel like there has been in the past year year and a half a difference between we're Nolato and messy and pay 'em 'Maradona where. Maradonna and Palay are conic. They are generational. They are fantastic, but Rinaldo immense yarn or on a different level completely different level. I think they are undoubtedly better than the pair of the old historic y cons. And it seems like Maradona especially is incredibly fucking jealous that he's getting surpassed by his fellow countrymen left right and center, you know. Yeah. I just. I just think it's just ridiculous that he has a key coming out with different statements. Just trying to you know, be little or just trying to take away from messy greatness in like. I don't think we're going to really see another player like Messi or Renaldo for that fact, like first time that are on their level and just consistency. You know, like consistency is just. There's there's no two other players that come even close, you know. It's just ridiculous. Like they do win a World Cup. It's like, yeah. Well, it only comes every four years so suck my dick moving on. We should talk about we move onto FA Cup Martin with that be fun. Yeah. Let me guess. FA Cup is a little bit more fun this year for whatever reason it's kind of bringing some significance. Arsenal years is it. Who is the new are just gonna bring, you know, no way to start talking about arson. You're talking about like ethic Cup getting it's magic back. But if arsenal wins, then it's back to just be in like, you cares. Winger if unite if unite fucking wins that FA Cup in his first year at arsenal you need to fire him in mmediately because they know that's Arsene Wenger's ghost. Ghost is the FA Cup like the arsenal like curse is that. What it is is just winning FA Cup are curse our burden where it's just like, you know, it's good. But it's just never going to be good enough. You know? It's like a it's like a Christmas. Carol you guys. Are you guys are fucking Scrooge? And you guys keep get visiting visited by the FAA cups of the future the past and present. Just keep halting us in a good way. I don't know. It's it's really funny. But I guess my first question is is FA Cup back. There's there's been a lot of okay. There's been a lot of debate on the internet that fake Cup. You know, people don't care like you saw Liverpool. Did they played all their backups, and I was got knocked out which we'll get to. But we've talked about this on the show Martin. We've said FA Cup his lost all its magic. And it's mostly due to the media, and due to the coaches not playing their starters and kind of not giving crap because it seems as us as fans, and as the media, can I call us the media is that cool. Okay. All right. Very media. Yeah. PJ? And you know, we've kind of just dismissed it to something that used to be a tough fought. Like if you wanna FA Cup and the Premier League it was still a very successful season. But when you know Arsene Wenger in the past couple years winning it almost what felt like every other year, you know, seemed like a disappointing season. So. I heard some debate ways to make FA Cup more substantial let me let me run some of these buy you a one is the fourth spot in the Premier League for the Champions League is whoever wins. The champ is whoever wins FA Cup. So what do you think about that? I mean..

Rinaldo FA Arsene Wenger Cup Martin Maradona arson FAA Champions League Liverpool Scrooge Messi Maradonna mmediately Carol Palay Renaldo
