Steve Bannon: "We Have Trumpified Congress"

"Right now, in Congress, we have Trump applied Congress. We have maga. This is a maga house. Yes, you have moderates. You have some of the old Republican Party. But every day, you know, even as we speak, here, the other day, you had Omar booted after this, you know, after this very dramatic presentation by AOC and all these, you know, left wing Democrats. We're on the march everywhere seat. Now, the fight is much tougher instead of hiding behind a dossier or Comey. They're up in your face. They're arresting, you know, Mark hoag. Got arrested with 35 state troopers and FBI guys with their guns pulled to drag him out of his house to have to say in the rosary. The battle is very pitched, but this is how battles are. Remember, in World War II, since we're near the 80th anniversary of Stalingrad, World War II was not the good war. Don't believe that aspect of yes. The greatest generation were fantastic. But when you look at the real war, you looked at the totality of the war. It went up in levels of annihilation. And it was so brutal. So inhumane. So, you know, over the top as far as destruction goes, and that's how war goes. Right now, we're in the phase of this war. And so yes, is it tougher now? It is tougher than because they were so shocked by president Trump winning. They didn't think we were going to win. We snuck up on them. Well,

"The recruitment ads also capitalized on something Putin said. In a recent meeting, Putin publicly embarrassed his intelligence chief by disagreeing with him on a certain policy and chastising the chief to quote speak plainly, which left the chief stammering and unsure of what Putin wanted him to say. So the FBI lifted that moment and inserted it into their recruitment ads, reminding Russian intelligence officers that Putin had humiliated their boss. Then said, in both English and Russian, speak plainly, we're ready to listen. When an agent clicked on the ad, they were directed to the web page of the FBI's counterintelligence office, where they were invited to come in for a confidential talk. The Iranian Terrorist Caught Having Crossed the Mexican Border

"W and I are here for our Friday roundup of the week. We usually chat in the morning over coffee about what we want to talk about and the first topic I have on the list is very interesting is Iranian guy. Showing up at the southern border and apparently being apprehended not by border control but by not by border patrol, but by the Texas Department of Public Safety, the so called DPS. They find this guy with four other illegal immigrants in the trunk of a vehicle. And while they suspected him, they thought he was on the FBI's terrorist screening database. And they checked him out, apparently Department of Homeland Security is now saying, no, he wasn't on the database. But I mean, look at this. You've got, first of all, this is not a guy living in Mexico and he's a hard. He's not Mexican. He's not even he's not even south of South American. So the bigger picture is, oh yeah, you know, he's not the one. Okay, first of all, just the fact that he is an Iranian citizen, going through Mexico should give you pause for concern, no, am I wrong? I mean, I mean, what's his motive, right there, is he just simply a guy looking for a better life. I thought he I thought life was wonderful in Iran during the times of the Iranian revolution. Yeah, but I mean, it's just because this kind of points to the bigger picture. And you know, Eric stackelberg talked about this about the fact that Iran is really getting its sights on all of Central America, South America. So it makes you wonder if these guys are in Mexico already. Who are they?

"Over 100 House Republicans are voicing their concerns with President Biden's student loan forgiveness plan. Jim Forbes has more. On Friday, 126 Republicans filed an amicus brief criticizing the administration for canceling student loan debt. Biden's plan would offer $10,000 in forgiveness for federal student loans and 20,000 for those who receive pell grants in school. So far 6 states have filed a lawsuit against the policy, claiming they'd lose tax revenue as a result. In response, Biden said the legislation allows the federal government to forgive student loan debt during a national emergency. The Supreme Court will hear arguments on the case later this month. I'm Jim Forbes. Brutally cold winds are sweeping across the northeast with officials closing schools and activating emergency plans wind chills is called as 32 below zero will hit much of the region with frostbite able to take effect in as little as ten minutes, roughly 15 million people are under wind chill warnings. The coldest air for the northeast will hit this morning, the thing should start warming up tomorrow. January's jobs report is slowing past expectations, Tom Costello has more. Employers went on a supercharged hiring binge in January, adding 517,000 jobs. Economists had expected just 187,000 hires. That pushed the unemployment rate down to 3.4%. It's the lowest since 1969 federal officials say leisure and hospitality help lead the way in January. Professional and business services along with healthcare also saw gains. Amber Athey: Bad Move by Hunter Biden to Threaten Legal Action

"I wonder if the Biden ink team is really thought this through though amber If you're going to sue and suggest that implications at Hunter Biden was involved in an international grifting scheme with his dad are in fact defaming In fact they're not only lies but they're said with actual malice Have they not thought through that there's going to be depositions and discovery and that if you sue me or you or anyone else like our lawyers get to depose you too Like it's a two way street It makes you scratch your head right Like they can't possibly be this stupid It's pretty mind-blowing I mean what's going to happen in the court discovery is that they'll actually get access to more funds communications which I would think would only go further toward proving the allegations as we're contained in the laptop hard drive So it's a really boneheaded move and anyone who's worked in the media will tell you that you're always acutely aware of the communications that you're having because you know if someone tries to come after you for defamation that those will likely become part of the public record So this is going to be more damaging for hunter than it would any of the media people who were involved in putting this story out there But it is quite funny generally to see how the tone went from this is Russian disinformation and obviously this is not real material from hunter's laptop to now the laptop was his and the FBI is investigating some of the materials but what you wrote about it was a lie and was done with the intent to harm Hunter Biden as if the materials themselves don't harm him like the added commentary was done with malice it just doesn't make any sense

"Apply to order and brush his teeth. While granting his plea to take his rosary beads. You know, that's the ultimate example of intimidation. Your government should never treat you this way. His alleged crimes and who are you thinking, right? This guy's like El Chapo, right? Huge Mexican drug cartel leader probably heads in his freezer. This guy's Dahmer, right? This is Hannibal lecter. Obviously. His crime, the alleged crime was pushing a Planned Parenthood escort. Who was apparently now threatening his son, pushing local municipality of Philadelphia despite having a whack job district attorney declined to prosecute. So they sent a battering ram M 16s long guns, dozens of agents and cars in front of his house because he may have may have pushed someone outside an abortion clinic. They knew they had no case, but this is about intimidation and harassment. This is about intimidation and harassment of the American people. And it's the same thing with the moms and yoga pants. If I can get you to shut up and sit down and stop your crying about vaccine mandates for your kids or stop crying about mask mandates, I win. You lose. And if you know what can happen to you, what are you working from home one day, your big company and everything like this, and all of a sudden, knock on the door, FBI agents, you've been accused of being a domestic violent extremist because you said at a school board meeting, we will fight back. Well, that might have been threat. You can't risk it in your life, most people can't mark how could because he's a pastor is a religious man. He believes in the fight. And he's lucky that he has the ability to do that. Not everybody does. Not everybody does. For some people, they just can't risk it. You give this nice suburban neighborhood, nice house, nice community, everything all of a sudden, FBI agents are raiding your door in the pre dawn hours that you can't risk it. So you just stay out of the fight. This is what the weaponization of the DoJ subcommittee needs to do is get to the bottom of this. Because we have a Justice Department that's out of control in this country. They're a political entity. They worked very diligently to make sure that Joe Biden would become president of the United States. And Merrick Garland is a hack. He is a dangerous, dangerous hack. Who is fully prepared to use every single power he has for political purposes. And intimidating the American people is not the purpose of the Department of Justice. Amber Athey: Biden Documents Scandal Continues to Grow

"It seems like they're trying to drip drip strategy but it's just not working No if anything it's the opposite the story continues to permeate the press surprisingly actually I think it has been getting pretty decent coverage from the media Because of the fact that after they initially found these documents ahead of the midterm election they didn't tell anyone then but claimed they were fully cooperating then we find out in January that this had happened And then the FBI goes in searches Biden's homes in Wilmington and Rehoboth beach And his lawyers and White House aides keep saying that they're being transparent but you can tell by the statements that they're releasing that they're not For example in the search of the Rehoboth home yesterday they said that they didn't find the materials with any classified markings Okay but were there materials taken that had classified information in them We don't know that yet but they did say that they took handwritten notes and other materials for further review Then you look at the statement that they put out after the search of the Wilmington hull And they said that there were 6 items containing classified documents that were taken And immediately the narrative became well it was only 6 classified documents That was way fewer than former president Donald Trump had but that's not accurate It was fixed items containing classified documents We don't know what those items are They could be boxes they could be big rubbermaid tote containers They could be entire filing cabinets So the more we learn from the drip the more it seems like the Biden administration was trying to cover this up and obviously make it seem a lot less bad than it is

"All citizens, all people, you had guys have the resources for that out of curiosity. The Department of Justice now is there to protect each and every one of us from threats of violence. Oh, good to know. That's helpful, because I thought a lot of that stuff was left in the states and the local municipalities. This subpoena that was sent to Merrick Garland for this dopey memo. Very dangerous metal. Very, very dangerous memo. And what we want to know and what they want to understand here between the subpoena for the FBI director of the attorney general and the education secretary is what's your coordination as you guys all have? To write this stuff to write all of this, what coordination, that's what I want to know. What did you guys do? And why? What was the purpose? An FBI spokesman responded to Jordan subpoenas Friday afternoon saying in a statement as director ray and other FBI officials have clearly stated on numerous occasions before Congress and elsewhere the FBI has never been in the business of investigating speech or policing speech at school board meetings or anyone anywhere else and we never will be they say. We are fully committed to preserving and protecting First Amendment rights, including the right to free speech. Attempts to further any political narrative will not change these facts. The FBI is actively working to respond to congressional requests for information, including voluntary production of documents. So what they also did was they intimidated pro lifers too. By arresting Mark. And they sent 20 something FBI agents to his house with all of these big, big, big suburbans and guys in windbreakers and everything else, and they all come into the house. And on a Sunday morning and they intimidate him and scare him and they charge him with this crime, his federal offense, and you know what they really wanted to do, crack down on people that stand outside of abortion clinics and offer to pray or counsel young women going into these clinics. They don't like that. Planned Parenthood does not want any competition whatsoever. All right? No, I can tell I have two adopted children. Beautiful, beautiful children. Came to our life by adoption. The agencies we work with are these little nonprofit agencies and I remember we were in Connecticut for my son's adoption. We're driving home from the adoption agency tiny little one room office in a basement of like a strip mall across the street. Is this gigantic Planned Parenthood headquarters with the kind of glass facade throughout the whole front of the thing and all of this? And I just kept thinking of a David and Goliath story right there. Between the two? And thinking to myself that if they don't want competition, they'll shut down the ability of social workers and other people to counsel people going into abortion clinics. And that's what they want to do. So they arrest Mark Howe. They embarrass him and intimidate him in front of his family, and they send a message to other pro lifers across the country that, hey, listen, you do this. You get out of line. This could happen to you. And of course, they had no case. But it's not about the case. There's an old saying, the process is the punishment. If I can intimidate the crap out of you, you'll get the memo. Whether or not I find you guilty or you're found guilty in a court of law is irrelevant. If I can put you through hell by making you have to spend money on an attorney, embarrass you in front of your community, maybe across to your job, maybe cost your livelihood, I've won. I've won. You've lost regardless of what happens to you in court. You've lost. And nobody gets in trouble for that on the government's perspective, do they? Mark out is found not guilty in court in Philadelphia and federal court. And now he's considering pressing charges for prosecutorial abuse after the FBI raid. And it was prosecutorial abuse. 6 45 a.m. raid where FBI agents descended on his home. I was awake. My children and my wife were asleep. The matter with which the FBI banged on my door is particularly worth noting because they rang the doorbell. And it was dark outside. Repeatedly, they rang the doorbell and they banged on the door saying, open up. They didn't even declare who they were. They didn't even state their names. The degree of the recklessness that this was performed and the act of terror which it was. He said the same thing on my radio show in Philadelphia when he joined me. After learning that it was FBI agents seeking entry into his home, how informed them of his intention to open the door, urging them to stay calm because he had 7 children in the house. I opened the door and slowly showed them my hands. As I opened the door, I could not believe the circus scene that I saw. At least ten to 15 marked in unmarked units right in front of me surrounding the side of my house. I have wondered yards of the street, cars lined all the way up to the street, long guns pointed at me heavily armored vests, ballistic helmets, ballistic shields, and a battering ram. I had at least 5 federal agents on my porch with M 16s pointed at me. You know why we're here, they said after his wife asked to have a warrant, they said, we're taking him with or without a warrant. I was arrested in front of my children in front of my home while they were screaming. They declined his request to put on underwear

"Go watch my video on YouTube, but they also Tatum on YouTube and I give you some of the tea of the Memphis police chief and her involvement with covering up a potential child, I would say child alleged child molestation ring thing that was going on. She covered it up and because allegedly, her best friend, one of her good friends, husband was involved. And she ended up getting fired once they realized she was suppressing the investigation and it wasn't going to go anywhere. And then when the FBI got involved, the federal government got involved, they ended up arresting the officer that was involved in it. Or at least the rest of the man that was involved in it. And he ended up going to prison, but you know. Bad beget bad. She should have never been a leader. I call these people affirmative action hires. It's because they need a black face to represent the department, not because of merit. But because they're black. And then they hire people that are not qualified. Has the Government Shown Any Remorse to Mark Houck?

"Life centers were firebombed across the country. They tried to kill Brett Kavanaugh, the leaker was never found, but their focus was on Mark hauk and Mark, what did you do? You were praying outside of a clinic and some paid agitator probably tried to come up to your kid. I mean, did the government show any remorse or hesitation throughout this entire prosecutorial process? This is the federal government of the United States. Yes. Well, the gentleman that you allude to, he's been there a volunteer for 20 years. So, you know, that kind of puts that to Rhett to rest. But the government and how they handled this and how they treated me is interesting and something will hopefully take before Congress. When they came to my house that day again, if you know anything about a federal age and coming to your home to serve a warrant or to arrest somebody, usually it's one or two people. Now the FBI does their homework and they do a tremendous research over who they're going to go out and bring this paperwork to. On that particular day, I had over 20 plus agents and PA state troopers that were at my house with long guns and full S.W.A.T. gear. I'm surprised someone didn't get shot that day. I'm surprised one of my children weren't shot. We do have some airsoft guns in the house. But if one of my children thought this was interesting, a little 5 year old or a four year old, they would have been shot. So it was extremely reckless. Once I was put in custody, I was not told that I would be returning to my family. I wasn't told anything. Again, they said they were going to take me with or without a warrant. They did have a warrant, but that's how they communicated to my wife. As my children were screaming and they took me away, they wouldn't allow me to get a pair of pants to get a sweatshirt on a cold day. To put socks on, wouldn't allow me to brush my teeth. Well, let me put angor in on it was 6 45 in the morning.

"I was fired up a couple months ago when the Biden department adjusted this decided to deploy a S.W.A.T. team to go after a pro life leader and that same DoJ told us they can't find the Supreme Court leaker, sorry, just not interested. Almost nobody arrested for my knowledge on federal hate crime charges for the firebombing or the arson of pro life clinics, but what they focused their attention on was going after a pro life dad who's a pro life activist, storming the home and trying to do a show trial to say that if you support pro life ideas, if you are a pro life activist, we are going to show the world that we're going to make you suffer. We've been doing it for myself 20 years and my son for the last two years with me. "Now on the Mike Gallagher show. The FBI is currently searching President Biden's Delaware vacation home for classified documents. They are in Rehoboth beach Delaware, his legal team had said that they had searched the Rehoboth beach home and found no mishandled papers, however, similar assurances had been given about Biden's Wilmington home before they found more records there on January 20th, so right now the FBI is on the premises, searching Biden's Rehoboth beach, Delaware home. Boy, what a absolute dilemma this has to be. For Trump haters. On the one hand, they want to use the mishandling of classified documents as a way to hoist Trump on his own petard. As they say, so what are you going to say about grandpa Joe? And he's got him apparently spread out all over the country. His Wilmington home, Robin beach, the Penn Biden center. I mean, this guy is a veritable cornucopia of mishandled classified documents. So I guess you got to turn the page on that one, right? Trump gets vindicated yet again.

"Had been following the story of this pro life leader Mark how can I know you tweeted about the incredible news found not guilty of these charges, this good pro life Catholic man, the FBI raided his home, had his wife and kids there at the gunpoint. This is horrifying. What this government, what this administration has been doing to terrorize pro life citizens in this country. And unbelievable. That's right. That was a great story, but as you say, this kind of Jack booted thug tactic that someone at the FBI approved in his case over something that was nothing more than a tiff, in fact, gratuitously sort of instigated by the pro abortion guy at say a nasty things to the man's 12 year old son and so you know the FBI comes down on that hard and yet you see pro life centers pregnancy centers attacked and molotov cocktails and things like that across the nation, hundreds or more episodes and the FBI had done almost nothing. "Do you feel like leadership on the Republican side is committed to reforms at the FBI too 'cause we can't go on like this and you again being a veteran who served the country honorably this has got to sting Yeah I served in Afghanistan where the uniform and I hear from our men and women in uniform every day who are just sick and tired of all of the woke crap being pushed on them spending more time and diversity equity and inclusion seminars than doing anything that remotely prepares them to go out and fight wars with our biggest enemies like China So let me give you an example though of the type of stuff that we're already doing I mean we're just a couple of weeks into setting up this new House Republican majority And Mike Rogers my friend from Alabama he's the chairman of the House armed services committee asked me to chair the subcommittee that would be at the tip of the spear of going after wokeness in the military and chairman Rogers and I just wrote a letter today to The Pentagon related to calissa wing She's the Department of Defense military education senior official who the Biden White House is refusing to fire even though she said these things She said quote where can I get a break from all of this white nonsense she said one time And as you said quote I'm exhausted by 99% of the white men in education 95% of the white women And then the last thing she said she had to stop giving a session and give Karen the business because of because it was another alleged anti another woke message that she was pushing So this is the kind of stuff that we hear from our troops every single day about examples like these and we're attacking it We're fighting back on us It's why a couple of weeks ago I started the first ever anti woke caucus in the Congress strategize how we can uproot wokeness because wokeness is weakness

Rep. Jim Banks: Republican Majority Must Use Oversight on Biden

"So you're running for Senate in the great state of Indiana It may turn into a contentious primary which I never think primaries are a bad thing personally but I really like what you stand for I've seen a number of your appearances on the cable news channel so I told Jim you know please invite him on So I like to just ask you a couple of things here You're in the Congress now We've taken back the majority It's a slim majority But a decent one 5 seats not that bad What are we going to get done here about this ongoing classified documents fiasco I mean I know you're not law enforcement officers in the house but it appears again that Biden is lying It was just breaking today came out you probably saw it But apparently the FBI raided the Penn Biden center or searched it precision matters And yet we were lied to again by Biden who led us to believe that this was some cooperative self reporting incident over these documents This thing just continues to grow hair There are so many layers of it Dan and never never forget that the Penn Biden center took a donation of about $14 million from anonymous Chinese donors at the exact same time that Joe Biden and The White House dropped a number of the investigations into Chinese influence on university campuses So those are the things that you can't forget about this And we have to use our even though it's a slim Republican majority We have to use this majority for oversight of this corrupt administration These are just skimming the surface of the examples of what I'm talking about

"At least stefanik representative from New York how are you Good how are you Mark I am doing great And I hope you are as well No I know you serve on this very very special and important committee that is going to investigate the Biden crime family and what's been going on with this with this administration and so forth but I understand already you're not getting cooperation in the house Is that correct Well it is correct Mark but I will tell you House Republicans will leave no stone unturned And let's take a step back This will be some of the most important work of the House Republican majority in this Congress And here's why You talk to the American people across this country and they fundamentally believe rightfully so that there are two sets of rules One if your last name is Clinton or Biden and you are well connected high profile Democrats and you're part of the swamp you can commit crimes and it's brushed under the rug On the other hand if you're a hardworking patriotic American who is innocent the federal government has been weaponized against you We see that again and again The purpose of this select committee is to follow the facts and find the truth to shine sunlight to bring transparency and ultimately accountability and I believe legislative reforms Agencies that I'm focused on are the Department of Justice and the FBI and the list is quite lengthy in the abuses and weaponization that we've seen from these agencies I of course was very active in the unconstitutional impeachment proceedings And was one of the leaders when it came to showing the importance of congressional oversight of these agencies who have run afoul of the fact that they report to Congress and the American people not the other way around

$60 Billion in COVID Fraud? Try $4 Trillion

"60 billion in COVID fraud they write triforce trillion And this is what the party of the left and many of the rhinos this is where they drag us and take us And this is why there is now resistance in the house among conservatives and hopefully the majority To keep paying for this stuff we don't even know where this money is As auditors and congressional investigators try to figure out just how much federal COVID relief went to fraudsters They're missing the trillions Trillions of dollars in fraud committed by the federal government itself In a war that had no chance of winning Last week the government accountability office reported that fraudsters took about 60 billion in unemployment checks That's on top of the tens of billions in fraudulent claims made through the paycheck protection program that tens of billions handed out through a small business administration program and on and on So you might wonder where's the FBI They are vigorously chasing down people all over the country who were parading on the lawn of the capitol building They're busy chasing down Racists Who aren't white Cops 5 black cops who killed a black young man They have the civil rights division looking into this This Wednesday the House committee on oversight and accountability will hold a hearing to investigate rampant waste of taxpayer dollars Representative James comer the chamber of the committee said we owe it to Americans I like this guy comer a lot To identify how hundreds of billions of taxpayer dollars spent under the guise of pandemic relief for lost to waste fraud abuse and mismanagement

"Theory that he has classified documents. He didn't turn over to the national archives. So we still don't know what the real reason is behind the FBI. We've been told by aging Merrick Garland that we should trust that the FBI is not politically motivated. But that ignores the biggest question in all of this. I'm a massive agency, tens of thousands of agents, and you've spent tens of billions of dollars over the course of the history of the FBI. This is an agent with extraordinary powers to look into your life to monitor you to find out what you're doing on a daily basis. So that's always going to be subject to the political assistance to the people at the top. And whoever is the president is going to have some impact on that. Whoever's staffing the FBI at any given point is going to have some impact on that. So the real question for the FBI always and forever is how do we draw a balance between law enforcement and the ability to misuse law enforcement? How do we draw lines around the necessary ability of the FBI to actually suss out criminals and protect American citizens? And these aren't policy questions. They're also questions that tend to be completely ignored by policymakers because as Congress has moved into a vestigial organ of government just throwing all responsibility over to the executive branch. All we keep hearing is trust us. But you shouldn't trust any of these people in any regulatory agency, including the FBI, particularly FBI. Because again, they have extraordinary power over you, which means it's not about defunding the FBI getting rid of the FBI. It's about how do we make sure that the FBI is capable of doing actual law enforcement and how do we punish them for exceeding their rent exceeding their mandate. This is not a question just for 2022. This has been a question since literally 1908. And it's going to continue to be a question so long as human beings are flawed and so long as they are given inordinate powers to go after both political opponents on the one hand and criminals on the other.

"Oh yeah. All right, hello, America. Welcome to the time starring radio show. As of yet, we have not been rated by the FBI, but we're waiting. We're ready. Hope you're doing good. Hey, 8 four four 747 88 68 is our phone number before we go to the patriot mobile use maker line though. I want to go to the phones. We are getting ready to have a huge celebration here in Memphis, Tennessee. The radio station I own Kwan, celebrating 75 years of existence. This radio station once employed Johnny Cash and B.B. King Ike Turner, Elvis Presley played on this radio station, and now we're a news talk station. And so anyway, we're having a big bash celebrating a big bash. And it's next week in downtown at a beautiful hotel. There's going to be a lot of fun rooftop celebration and we want to go to the phones here because we're going to be inviting some of our listeners to join us in the celebration. Let's go to south haven, Mississippi, Chad on the line. Chad, how are you today? I'm doing great, Todd. Well, Chad, we're going to actually make you do a little bit better because guess what, Chad, you are the big winner of the tickets. Trevor on the side. Oh, it's going to be it's going to be a lot of fun. Great food, beverages, the whole 9 yards. And Chad, we're going to put you on hold and grace will get all of your info so congratulations. Sounds a little noisy out there on the highways and byways today. We'll give you guys another chance momentarily to win some prizes. All right, let's go to the patriot mobile newsmaker line. Good friend of this program, congressman guy, Russian thaler joins us. Congressman, very disturbing developments from last night. I understand that a group of Republicans will be meeting with the president later today, what can you tell us in the aftermath of that FBI raid? Absolutely. Todd's first off, thanks for having me on. Please call me guy and congrats on the 75 years. That's huge. As far as this raid last night thought, you know, people are mistaken if they think that this is just about Donald Trump. It's the regime, the ruling elite that have nothing but disdain for everyday Americans. Donald Trump is just getting in the way. And if the FBI can do this to Donald Trump, what can they do to an everyday citizen? That's the overarching takeaway. But in terms of how this pertains to Donald Trump, it's absolutely disgusting that there weren't other means necessary to do this, to effectuate getting these documents. In the FBI can say, well, these documents belong to the national archives. And so far, so forth. Okay, that's fine, but why would you do a raid on Mar-a-Lago if you're not trying to cast doubt upon president Trump's 2024 run continue to harass and in a way the president try to delegitimize his legacy. But I can tell you Tod this isn't going to work. I think that moderates and people that might have been on the fence about the president are getting galvanized around him because the American people know that inherently this is an abuse of power by the FBI and FBI that turned into a political tool of the Democratic Party. And I think it's important for people to understand here that this is not president Trump sitting down with the with the national archives or with the FBI. These are conversations that were had with the attorneys. So this is, you know, again, I think people are maybe not understanding how these kinds of things operate. So typically you have an attorney and you're able to work these things out privately or quietly without having to have the FBI stage a pre dawn guns drawn raid..

"8 four four 747 88 68, what happened last night? Does that make you more of a supporter or less of a supporter of our president? 8 four four 747 88 68. But here's what I think needs to happen. I think that we need to completely defund and dismantle the FBI. The rot is so deep, the FBI has gone so rogue, it can not be salvaged. Now you think about this for a moment. President Trump was in New York City. He was staying at his apartment in Trump Tower. He was not at home. Had the president Bennett home, there would have been video cameras of the FBI dragging the president out of the home so they could conduct their investigation. And you would have seen the coverage. They would have had CNN there. And it would have been broadcast live on national television, president Trump and his pajamas, standing on the front lawn of bara laco. Now you just think about this. It's not over. There's still coming for this president. And ultimately, they want to drag this man out of his home in handcuffs and shackles and throw him in jail. That's the end goal here. Now, some of you have been saying, well, Todd, why are we why are they doing this? Over a bunch of papers that may or may not be classified, why are they doing this? Because this is there's a method to the madness here. They know they've got nothing on Trump when it comes to January 6th. Nothing at all. There will not be criminal charges coming out of J 6. And I know you've got a couple of grand juries. You've got one in D.C.. You've got one in a Fulton county, Georgia. And I don't believe those are going to amount to anything. So what they're doing, there is a maneuver for the left to disqualify Trump from ever running for the presidency if, in fact, he had these classified documents. But this is a great big nothing burger. And we're going to go through this and show you blow by blow. How the how the government handled Hillary Clinton and sandy Berger and how they've handled Donald Trump. And quite frankly, Hunter Biden too. Because clearly, the FBI and get this with the Hunter Biden, we know crimes have been committed because he was on video committing the crimes. There was the drugs. There were the hookers and lord knows what. And yet the FBI has not stormed in a Hunter Biden's home. The FBI hasn't dragged him out. The FBI has encompassed Jack squat. And it's because his daddy is president of the United States. There is a deep rot in our nation's capital. And the only thing that Donald Trump needs to do is get himself elected, and if he does nothing else, he needs to fire every bureaucrat in that deep state. Every single one of them. You got to start from the, you got to start at the FBI. You got a defund and dismantle. Same thing with the Department of Education. Same thing over at the rest of the Justice Department. Because I'm sick of this. Now, I want you to understand what we're dealing with here. This is the same FBI. The same Justice Department that investigated a law abiding moms and dance. And what was the crime there in Virginia? Oh, the crime was a complaint about school board policies. They complained about critical race theory and LGBT grooming and then these people got knocked on the door from the FBI. This is the same Justice Department that targeted law abiding gun owners. The same Justice Department who refused to protect the homes of the Supreme Court Justices. So yes, I believe that the American people we are now in a de facto state of war with the bureaucratic deep state..

"Hey folks, I was supposed to take this week off completely for the first time in like 5 years. But due to the breaking news on the FBI rating at Mar-a-Lago, the biggest news in years, I'm now signing in to comment reporting live here from Israel. So according to The New York Times, former president Donald J Trump said on Monday that the FBI had surged his Palm Beach Florida home and had broken open a safe and account signaling a major escalation in the various investigations into the final stages of his presidency, the search, according to multiple people familiar with the investigation appeared to be focused on material that Trump had brought with him to Mar-a-Lago his private club and resonance when he left The White House. Those boxes contained many pages of classified documents according to a person familiar with their content. Mister Trump delayed returning 15 boxes of material requested by officials with the national archives for many months, only doing so when there became a threat of action to retrieve them, the case was referred to the Justice Department by the archives early this year. This is an insane thing. It is just an insane thing. So here is here is the bottom line here. The FBI is not trusted by many, many Americans. I mean, a majority of Republicans do not trust the FBI according to polling data. A majority of independents do not trust the FBI. According to polling data, what the FBI just did requires extraordinary institutional trust. This is an FBI under the auspices and a current administration rating the home of the leader of the last administration and the likeliest potential nominee for the opposition coming 2024. It seems like on the face of it, banana republic type stuff. It seems like on the face of it, pretextual, especially because if you're going to do something like this, there had damned well, better be a crime. The crime can't be something like the president of the United States when he left office. He brought with him stuff. Bill Clinton brought half The White House with him when he left office. He was never rated. It can't be the president of the United States has a battle with the national archives over material. It can't be about the national archives. It's got to be more than that. It can't be something like the national archives is just mad that they don't have a full record of everything that went on, especially if what we are talking about here is not particularly important material. And then there's the problem that the last president of the United States, while he was in office, has plenary authority to declassify anything he wants. So all the other cases that people are talking about today with regard to situations in which people have mishandled classified material. We're talking about people who are not the president of the United States. You're talking about, for example, the former Clinton national security adviser, sandy Berger, who in 2015, received a misdemeanor charge for stuffing classified documents down his pants. Are you talking about in 2016? The FBI investigating Hillary Clinton's mishandling of classified documentation. She could not declassify things, she was the Secretary of State who was not the president of the United States. And by the way, she was never actually rated. Remember, they grabbed Anthony Weiner's laptop. You remember that they went in a variety of directions trying to Garner Hillary Clinton's emails. But despite the fact that James Comey announced that it was actually quote possible that hostile actors gained access to secretary Clinton's personal email account because of his handling of the classified documents, her house was never rated. Her offices were never rated by the FBI. And then you have several years under president Trump, of the FBI, attempting to undermine the president of the United States on pretextual information, provided by the Quentin campaign on the basis of the Steele dossier. James Comey, the former head of the FBI, when he was head of the FBI, approaching Donald Trump to launder into the press, the Steele dossier, knowing that there was nothing in the Steele dossier that had been verified. He went to Donald Trump, he told him about it simply so that the media could then run with the story that the Steele dossier had been presented to president Trump and therefore it was newsworthy and BuzzFeed could run all of that material. For example, and then we got years and years of investigations down rabbit holes that led nowhere with regard to Russia. In other words, trust in the FBI is at an all time low. And yet it's the FBI under Christopher wray, apparently with a warrant that had to be signed off on by the DoJ and attorney general Merrick Garland. Now, initiating a raid into the former president of the United States. So here's the thing, could there theoretically, in some world, be it rationale for this sort of activity, sure? Sure, there could. But is that going to have to be a damned, extraordinarily solid, like rocks, I like bedrock solid, rationale, with serious underlying evidence, it had better be or what we are looking at is a political crisis. When you have current administration's investigating, former administration, to the point of sending the FBI into their homes to pick up documents on the basis of, well, you know, you didn't hand it over to the national archives, even though we were negotiating. You didn't handle what we wanted you to. That's not. That's banana republic type stuff. And it looks more like an attempt to take Donald Trump out of the running come 2024 than anything else. Or maybe nefariously. It's an attempt to elevate Trump for 2024. We don't know. But here is what we do know. Here's what we do know. If there is no extraordinary basis for this raid, then what we are looking at is a crisis in American governance right now. It looks like the intelligence apparatus being weaponized against the opponents of a political administration, which is insane. And what it also means is that down the road, let's say that Donald Trump runs. Let's say this comes to nothing. And Donald Trump runs. And let's say that Donald Trump loses. Do you think that there are going to be a lot of people who are going to trust that he actually lost? Again, the trust in our institutions is so low right now that they're actually activating their exacerbating all of the worst possibilities in American politics. If you don't trust any aspect of how the system works, and it feels like the FBI is rigged against the president of the United States when he's Donald Trump. And then rigged against him again when he is candidate Trump come 2024. If it feels as though all the institutions are set up in opposition to one political party into one guy, how do you think that's going to work out? And I'm amazed to see. So many people on the left today, people who are highly critical of the cops normally. Pramila jayapal, the progressive caucus out there saying things, like, well, you know, they wouldn't do this without a basis. Really, wouldn't they? You guys were doing defund the police. 5 seconds ago, but now when they're targeting your political opponents, you're all in favor of it. I'm here on the conservative side of the aisle. And I was willing to let the FBI have a lot of rope when it came to, for example, russiagate at the very beginning. And then it became clearer and clearer and clearer the whole thing was a farce. And my trust in that institution was undermined just as many Americans trust in that institution was undermined. And now I'm sitting here with some very serious questions as to what the hell they think they're doing. So they'd better get out there with the evidence with the warrant.

I just like spare me the like. Oh i i didn't know what this was about but okay maybe sure maybe. Some people are completely clueless about what's going on. Maybe they're on their phones. Not attention to the insane speeches that are being given that most of the time when the cameras are rolling they do not give those speeches on camera. No here that one was right and so and and look. I'm i'm telling every democrat. You're nuts if you're going to these things but a lot of the reasons that even progresses went was because this tremendous marketing in dc that. This is a wonderful thing to go to. So hey if you're not christian but you're going to the prayer breakfast that shows how much you care about the religious community. And your constituents that are religious or christian especially. If you're not one right so make sure you go and that gives them the veneer of respectability and people think okay. That's that's good. I want to respect the christians in my community and a lot of them are left wing etc. So it's a perfect little trap to push right we agenda. There coups for comment on camera and he gives dismissive comment protects organization and runs away so the the people that go continue to go. Now there's no question that they know and you should hold them accountable all right well. Let's switch gears a little bit and talk about one of the most unhinged moments. I've seen in the news so newsmax host grant stench field Went on one of the most unhinged rant professing his loyalty to donald trump now. He was discussing the us withdrawal withdrawal from afghanistan and in the context of that discussion. He has a guest on a man by the name of joe szabo. He is the founder of a group known as team america. Right so right on brand for newsmax and look what sabah's doing he's trying to help our afghan allies leave afghanistan So that's what his a whole project is with team america But it's not really about him. It's about the fact that as soon as he had super mild criticism for trump stints field. Well just watch. I can tell you. This didn't happen under president trump and i know there's a lot of people on the left that want to try to blame president trump. He wanted out of afghanistan. Real bad he was real frustrated. That's called investigative journalism. We let you know and then then see what your reaction your reaction right. And but the guy who's the biggest democrat in favor of the prayer breakfast is chris. Coons bingo Joe biden's top ally in the senate and one of our reporters caught up with him on camera before and he totally defended the prayer breakfast and always as nonpartisan. It ain't nonpartisan and issues to do terrible things across the world. Well let's let's pause for a second because in regard to attendance for the national prayer breakfast here in the united states. it's certainly has been nonpartisan and that's a problem because make no mistake about it. The people behind this organization are evangelical conservatives and the event itself has these you know they do the prayer breakfast but the whole point isn't like get together and pray. It's really a way for you. Know powerful people to meet and make deals like they have. These breakout rooms. Were deals are made right. We're lobbying takes place and that's a huge part of it. This is also the same organization that went to uganda and pushed for a law that would execute members of the lgbt community in that country so while democrats have attended the national prayer. Breakfast obama had attended the national prayer. Breakfast a make no mistake about it. Ideologically speaking there are serious issues With this organization and what it promotes right and look. I don't know your way more willing to give people the benefit of the doubt. You're like way more optimistic than i am. I'm definitely way more pessimistic. So i can't help but roll my eyes at any lawmaker. Who's like oh well. I had no idea hired no idea that this was okay. I guess they're clueless. They're completely clueless about organizations that they decide to get involved with. I mean maybe do a little bit of homework yes. So that's how. I draw distinction between the folks. Who really genuinely didn't know and you could tell them their reaction and the people like chris who clearly no don't mind and are greatly annoyed when you do reporting on it. That exposes something. They already knew about reporting chris. Coon sorry about that. Yeah no democrat in their right mind should go to screw every. Lgbtq group in the country should be outraged at any democrat. That supports this group. And so i make that distinction between the two people who did know because there's definitely good progressives who didn't know once we brought this reporting to ro khanna and ted lieu. They immediately pulled out. Because you have to understand. in america. The media did propaganda on in favor of these described for decades. They would constantly show bill clinton and george bush and barack obama and all these people hillary clinton going to the breakfast and like do says nonpartisan. This is nonpartisan and then they do. The breakout rooms where they convince mike lindell to support donald trump and give all his money to massive right wing causes. That's another article a ty t. dot com. That got a lot of attention. Okay and and then they send legislators including democrats abroad to push an lgbt q. Agenda some of them winning some of them unwitting. But now you know you gotta pull out of this group otherwise you're complicit in what they're doing i wanna also direct you to Some of the statements that were made by a by a representative A republican representative back in two thousand nine hundred so this is in ukraine. It's the same event. But it's not twenty twenty one or twenty twenty two thousand nineteen so family inside a representative. Tim walberg tells ukrainian prayer breakfast. Attendees that if he does what god wants regardless of what my constituents think of me the god who i served..

"To pretend otherwise would be yet one more insult to the survivors. Listen that was his statement. But i'm personally not buying it because it was under. Fbi director christopher raise leadership that the fbi conducted a sham investigation into the sexual misconduct. Allegations against brad kavanagh. They didn't even interview brooke cavanaugh. In that. four day sham investigation. They didn't interview dr christine. Blasi ford in that sham investigation. They also didn't interview an eyewitness to a sexual misconduct allegation against cavenaugh. Someone who is credible came forward and said hey i was a witness to brett cabin exposing his genitals to another woman then didn't bother to interview that person so for christopher rate is sit there and say this is unacceptable. This will not happen under my leadership. Not buying it. I want to know why they did a sham. Investigation into brad cavanaugh. Who now sits in the united states supreme court so we say let's be fair all the time because it matters of course right and we have to state that because a lot of news stations aren't so when you're looking at christopher rates a complicated situation on the one hand we've had the fbi investigations of domestic terrorism. And here's a trump appointee but generally stood up for democracy not like any sort of brave soldier or anything like that but at least he didn't let trump steamroller on some of the issues but on cavenaugh he was terrible on the larry nassar issue he was. Fbi director at the time. It happened in two thousand fifteen in two thousand sixteen on the other hand. The fbi seems to have an old boys club attitude. Where if it's i mean. Now we have a pattern of if it's sexual assault. Fbi don't go to them. They don't care in fact they'll help to in these two very prominent cases. It appears there helping the perpetrator rather than the victims. And and by the way the there should be also fairness in the blame of who was in charge of the time. Tattered remnant is one of our members and we do the show with you guys and they wrote and just point out this abuse and the failure to investigate it happened under both obama and trump yet so it was late obama and it was all trump but yes it was those guys and that culture at the fbi existed under them throughout this entire. You know it seems like whether it's on a federal level or local level law enforcement that's supposed to protect americans to keep them safe fails over and over and over again fascinating. It's common thread doesn't matter it's on a local level or federal level anyway We gotta take a break when we come back An insane story involving nursing homes drugging there Residents just because they don't wanna spend the money to ensure that they have the staff necessary to give people the care that they need. We've got that.

"I blame larry. Nassar also blame an entire system that enabled perpetrated his olympian. Simone biles was one of four athletes who painstakingly described being molested by nasser while competing at the highest level. I was naked completely alone with him. On top of me molesting me for hours. Gold medallist michaela maroney says when she told an fbi investigator what happened. She was met with silence after that minute of silence he asked is that all. Those words in itself was one of the worst moments of this entire process for me. Her case was one of the first to be referred to the fbi in july. Twenty th fifteen but the bureau failed to properly investigate. According to an internal justice department report waiting more than a year before opening up formal probe by then approximately seventy other young athletes had been assaulted by nassar who was later convicted. The fbi and others within both usa g an uso pc knew that nassar molested children and did nothing to restrict his access. Now it's up. It's absolutely disgusting. I wanna give us more details about What the women testified about Baroni recalled speaking with the fbi in the summer of two thousand fifteen and providing extreme detail about nassar's abuse during a nearly three our phone interview. So she's reliving this in a three hour long phone interview but the bureau failed to proceed with an investigation into his alleged misconduct until more than a year. Later as revealed by a blistering inspector general's report in july Maroney said that her interview with the bureau was not even documented until seventeen months later and she accused. The fbi is making entirely false claims about what she told them which you can expect if they're not going to document it after that lengthy phone interview happens right. They're gonna wait seventeen months to document it. of course they're going to get what she said to them wrong and she was livid about it. You know. I was watching the the hearing live. And it was absolutely heartbreaking because here is a a an intelligence agency A law enforcement agency on a federal level. That's supposed to be keeping americans safe and in this case. I mean you don't shake you mentioned earlier. You don't know if it's negligence or if it was a cover up. I don't know how it could be anything other than a cover up to be honest with you. How do you hear this kind of testimony. How do you hear these types of cases and just sit on it for seventeen months right. So i don't know and there's one thing i think they should further investigate which the inspector general has asked them to to i believe so Let me explain so. There's two possibilities the possibility that's lower less likely as anna points that is. This does happen from time to time in all place a work including the fbi. People are of extreme laziness. And they just take a report and they're like us going to be hard to do this case and it involves powerful people. Well just shelve it right and you think. How could it be that countess. You'd be shocked like police that don't go and help people who are being killed and and we can go on and on doctors who do terrible things so there's craziness and laziness in the world so that's a possibility but it does appear that the higher likelihood is this person or two people in in particular Chose not to pursue this which then leads to the bigger question. Why what a weird thing that you hear this harrowing testimony of molestation of young girls sexual assault and and you think. Let me help guy cover that up. Well that's a very curious choice so that makes me think. Is there something in your life. Where you that leads you to have sympathy for that guy. So i don't so they've been fired but they should investigate further and so there should be criminal charges. I i'm just keeping it real obstruction of justice in the very least right i mean come on your part of a law enforcement agency you get these types of allegations and you just sit on it why there should be criminal charges. Getting fired is not enough. By the way there's fbi agents in question. One of them did get fired. The other one retired the july report by horowitz's office harshly criticized the super the supervisory special agent in the fbi indianapolis office now known to be laying men and abbott. So langman got fired. J. abbott the agent in charge of the fbi's indianapolis field office for bungling the nassar case and later lying about it. Abbott retired in two thousand eighteen. So that guy retires. He should face criminal charges and In regard to langman. That's michael ling. Langman christopher wray during his testimony made clear that he got fired but but recently he recently got fired. Not enough for the hearings like that but to be fair. The inspector general report came out right before the hearings. I two weeks before so one of the women who was assaulted was asked on. Cbs about this harrowing. And all that and so i don't mean to dismiss it as all. The details are horrific. And so the reporter asking you trust the system. Do you trust the system. I actually think that that's a really annoying question. That misunderstands the situation. Well it depends on what you mean this system right so we credit. Fbi in the past for breaking up a bunch of domestic terrorist plots. They've actually gotten pretty good at that. And and they for the number of big bombings offer from the right wing but not always from the right wing and no matter where it comes from that saves lives so so we give them credit for that. Then you have the cavenaugh non investigation which is an absolute travesty that we talked about earlier in the show. This is even bigger travesty and seemingly inexplicable and ridiculous so wish part of the fbi are we talking about and then this inspector general report comes out and inspector general report was great and by the way that's also part of the system and hold people accountable and he did. It said they should be fired and they were at least one of them was fired. As you saw the other one retired earlier And and they said you should pursue criminal charges against them so that's his own department within the fbi saying our guy was a bad guy in you should charge it. But what i'm saying goes a little further. You should look into the fbi. Should look into that. Guy's personal life. Like and i don't mean like in some weird way and go find traffic tickets on him or unrelated issues. I mean that is a very curious choice to not investigate such a serious charge about showed horrible situation and now guys the one that that is the fact that it's mostly fury between the time the fbi knew and they investigated it is estimated the nassar molested abused and assaulted sexually seventy other girls. Yeah and so. It's it's not. Hey a little delay. it's not. Hey people are human this no. This is not anywhere near an honest mistake and so there should be criminal Repercussions for those seventy girls and women who had to suffer under nasser because of what These agents did one hundred fifty women. have come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against larry nassar. Okay and look. I guess will be fair Christopher ray the fbi director also testified on the same day that the women testified So let's let's hear what he had to say and We'll we'll i want to be crystal clear. The actions and inaction of the fbi employees detailed in this report are totally unacceptable. These individuals betrayed the core duty that they have of a protecting people. They failed to protect young women.

"That he that was reportedly offered to investigators by an alleged witness. A witness named max tire an attorney and former classmate of ramirez. That was another woman who had made accusations against cavanaugh. Who reportedly notified senators that he had witnessed and event similar to the one recounted by ramirez. Right so why was that not looked into by the way the pert ramirez that. We're talking about here. Is deborah ramirez. She was a classmate over at yale. She claimed that brett cavanaugh had exposed himself to her. And so we have a witness claiming you know. I saw him do something similar to another person. And why wasn't that person interviewed so we need to know who at the fbi made a decision that we're going to do a sham investigation. That were the allegations of sexual assault. We're going to bury them because we don't care we're gonna make a political decision because we want us right. We are on the supreme court and so we're not going to do the investigation that we were told that we must do. How do you not find that person. How do you not fire that person by the way it looks like it's one person looks like a whole organization on purpose chose not to do their job. It's indisputable even if you're talking to right winger new thing that they did a real investigation if they didn't talk to blasi ford or the witness or cavenaugh you know they didn't do a real investigation in fact you're chuckling about right niagara i know is it a great they allege rape is on now. That's the debate. I used to know what love right. That's right are thinking but no one is thinking. That was a real investigation. It's not possible. Think that yeah exactly all right well to negative. Fbi stores in a row. This one about the larry nassar case. So the senate. Judiciary committee held a hearing to both listen to the testimony of olympic gymnasts. Who had been victims of the sexual misconduct of usa gymnastics. Doctor larry nassar and also the head of the fbi. Christopher ray now why is the fbi involved in this well it turns out that After sev- role olympians had told fbi officials. About what larry nassar had done to them. They didn't take any action. In some cases it took seventeen months for them to even investigate. The claims the first half of wednesday's hearing featured emotional testimony by four elite gymnast. Simone biles michaela maroney alley rice men and also matt maggie nichols who said nasser sexually abused them under the guise of medical treatment during his time as a usa gymnastics doctor We have a video showing you some of their testimony. Let's take a quick look at that being here. Today is taking everything. I have tearfully opening up on capitol hill about the abuse. They faced by former team. Doctor larry nassar to clear..

"Jerks janke antica. Spirit guys Look big show as always fun disaster. It's been a rolled up into a fun little ball here on. Ty t. and we'll roll it down the alley. See what happens all right. Okay and you don't really roll up alley maybe down the lane but anyway made a mood guy so you never know what can happen here at any more anger. Good breakout often does for now. We're in an excellent right casper while the people who should be a little worried in anger today or the fbi not a good day for the fbi. So fbi director. Christopher ray is facing scrutiny over how the agency handled its investigation into the alleged sexual misconduct of supreme court. Justice brad kavanagh now. Of course this investigation took place prior to kavanagh's confirmation. It was supposed to be a week long investigation but it was only four days long and we have some new indicating that there were some pretty important leads or tips that the fbi refused to even look into so The guardian did pretty good reporting on this and they write that at the heart of the new questions that christopher will face later this week when he testifies before the senate judiciary committee is a twenty ten memorandum of understanding. That the fbi has recently said considered the agency's ability to conduct eddie further investigations or allegations of misconduct limited constrain. My bad so it. It constrained their ability to do what. They're literally paid to do which is investigate these types of allegations and other Threats now the fbi was called to investigate again. These allegations that were brought forth by dr christine blasi. Ford there was also another accusation By a another woman And then turns out that when they started doing this investigation. They started getting thousands of tips that they didn't even bother looking into the fbi said that in its letter to two senators said in his letter to senator sheldon whitehouse and christopher coons that the fbi did not have the authority under the twenty ten m you. At the time to unilaterally conduct further investigative activity absent instructions from the requesting entity in other words the fbi has said it would have required explicit instructions from the trump white house to conduct further investigation under the existing twenty ten guidelines on how such investigations ought to be conducted so the guardians like. Oh okay. so you're saying that this twenty ten emo you okay. Memorandum of understanding is what limited you the you had no choice that your hands were tied and so there was a freedom of information act request and through that request. The guardian was able to obtain the details of that ammo. You and here's what we know an examination of the two thousand ten. Mou does not make explicitly clear that the fbi was restricted in terms of how it would conduct its investigation. The mou also does not explicitly state that the white house had the power to set the process parameters on any investigation so this mo does not or does seem to suggest that the white house had some authority to limit the fbi investigation but not to the extent that the fbi is claiming okay And so just to give you an idea again. They wrapped up their investigation in four days. Right and they didn't look into a number of tips about four thousand. Five hundred. Tips came in. They didn't even bother to interview. Dr christine blasi ford. They didn't bother to interview. Brad kavanagh clearly. There were issues with this investigation. No i think it's way worse than that because that just makes no sense it august just thinking about it they congre says hey go investigate cavenaugh and see if he did this thing to christine. Ford the fbi says okay we have a mandate to investigate it but because of vague rules we think it means that we cannot investigate the main people involved with it makes no sense at all then. What congress asked you to investigate if you're not supposed to basically cavenaugh. You're not supposed to talk to them. What do you think they authorize. If you're not allowed to talk to in your opinion christine blasi ford and you never shared that by the way a we found out about it later but at the time of the investigation. They were pretending like they were doing the most thorough investigation anybody's ever seen. Oh my god. We rolled up our slaves and we looked into it and it turns out and got poor guy. Got the all right boy do. We didn't even talk to him or the victim. What did you think they authorized. That should be asked very very clearly but the problem is you know in in washington you never gonna get a clear answer so my point guys. There's no way in the world that if you're an honest actor you wouldn't at least go back to congress the white house or the public and say hey. They told us to investigate then. They told us not to talk to the people involved. That doesn't make any sense. We need help. You're in figuring out what to do. That is a bare bare minimum. You would do if you're an honest actor. So and this is not a situation where it's negligible like in larry nassar case. We're gonna talk about later in the show. Fbi guy just was the laziest person on earth were so actively wanted to cover up sexual harassment for some weird reason right faithfuls sexual molestation assault. You name it right. But in this case negligence doesn't make any sense. They actively chose not to do a real investigation so all the right wingers constantly toe by deep state. Were you at where are you at. Fbi saying i like. I don't mind if that guy a by the way are right wingers. I know trump gets at christopher wray and everybody else involved in the government if they don't if they don't all cases asset every moment of the day but remember there actually right wingers so ray comes in and goes oh a guy wind up maybe attempted rape of a woman to look into that because congress told me to know i'm gonna bury it. I'm going to help to right while you're on the supreme court no matter what happens no somebody a lot of people have to get fired over the fact that they absolutely positively lied didn't do this investigation on purpose and including by the way a key star witness. Eyewitness says yeah. I saw one of allegations not afford but about one of the other ones like we don't care we don't in fact we care so much we don't want you to tell us the story. Let me give the details. Yeah just relax second okay. So that's actually a really important details of the story because ray is likely to face scrutiny On why information that was specific to the allegations of sexual misconduct was not fully explored including evidence..

Fbi Christopher ray Justice brad kavanagh cavenaugh senate judiciary committee dr christine blasi senator sheldon whitehouse christopher coons white house kavanagh Dr christine blasi Brad kavanagh casper congre Ford christine blasi supreme court The guardian eddie christopher

"Yeah absolutely so first of all. We say that is recruiter. If you meet somebody from the fbi we see that as a recruitment opportunity where you find someone that you'd like to work with and learn more about from the organization so for us recruiting is a constant initiative. There are some times of the year where we have bigger recruiting pushes so we operate on a fiscal year cycle. Where the first of october the beginning of each new fiscal year. And when we come to that turn of the fiscal year we look at what the job roles are that will be the most unfilled upcoming so we can concentrate our recruiting efforts on those those job positions. We also look at the calendar year for schools. So you'll see this fall towards the end of the summer early fall recruiting push for interns and what we call. Collegiate hires so looking at those rising seniors who would be great targets for our internship program and then looking at those graduating seniors graduating grad students. Who would be looking at starting with the f. b. i. once they graduate making sure we're getting those opportunities out to them with the rare exception of not having a budget really. You should see the fbi out there and if again you go to fbi. Jobs dot gov. You'll see some continuously open positions that you can apply to. You mentioned something that's near and dear to my heart. Which is the internship program. I eons ago. In ancient times i started my fbi. Career as an honors intern. One summer during law school and it just exposed me to the entire bureau and obviously recruitment process worked and i eventually became an agent. Tell us about the priority focuses right now. What what jobs. And what kind of people are you focused. Wake a laser on Based on critical needs for example. Yeah absolutely these roles probably will not come as much of a surprise. Because i think they're fairly consistent across the f- Public and private sectors. But right now we have a keen focus on technology skills. We are looking for those with a background in cybersecurity In computer programming and computer science in information technology. Those very hard to fill stem skillset. So as i mentioned before we have some physicists some of those more scientific and mathematical focus skill sets are really what we need within the organization whether you are a special agent or if you're one of those other rules we talked about who are supporting special agents in their investigations. We also have a continuous focus on accounting skills and law degrees so those who are pursuing those degrees or those who are currently in those fields looking for a change are those that we're looking to bring into the fbi over the coming year and quite frankly foresee that being a skill set focus area for the next several years and so you mentioned several job descriptions already that really cause people to think beyond the agent position any other roles that you think boy. The average person wouldn't know that the the fbi needs this kind of skill set or has this kind of job posting. Yeah i mean. I don't know if i mentioned this before but auto mechanic you may not think that that is a role that the fbi is looking for but we have a lot of vehicles that are special agents are using to get around. Nurses are another role that we need across all of our field offices and here in headquarters making sure we're supporting those who are going out into the fields. Some of those scientific roles again if you're a biologist or chemist the fbi might not be at the top of your list because we don't appear to be a research space organization but whether it's in the weapons of mass destruction director or down in our laboratory there really amazing opportunities for folks in those fields to leverage those skills so again a very wide range of options that i don't think anyone should think fbi. I don't know if they have a role for me there. I really think you could find something and for those out there who might be thinking boy. I think i'm hesitant to apply because they are going to tell me where i have to live. Or they're gonna move me around. The world. are their jobs where that's not the case or their jobs were an applicant. Say i only want to work here or there. Yeah absolutely so first of all. I always thought of it as a great benefit that the f. b. i. has fifty six field offices around the country and we have seventy plus Legal out sha- officials around the world. So i thought. I saw it as a great opportunity. That hey maybe you could actually go back to your hometown. You don't necessarily have to work in washington. Dc like you might have to for some other federal agencies could be employing you but if you're not someone who is looking to move around if hey you found your dream job in Mcallen texas and that's where you wanted to stay. Most of the roles that are not agent or not intelligence analysts are not subject to being forced to move so you can find a career path for yourself there. If you are more of a city person like me. I grew up on the suburbs of new york city. You can also find yourself a career path in in headquarters here in washington. Dc so there really is the opportunity to have some more freedom and say for those roles though as i mentioned the special agent and the intelligence analysts that are subject to move. In the beginning. You'll be given an opportunity to indicate. Which offices are your offices of preference and so you'll get placed on The needs of the fbi. And also how you do coming out of your training course is there and throughout the rest of your career..

"The fbi your agency released their document two thousand six stating that. This was going to happen. Lowered law poll two thousand and twenty one. Fifteen years later here we are In our homeland security that trying to stonesevent homeland security didn't do enough. I mean these are obviously administration decisions. Not the officers themselves could could not or did not want to do it Fbi didn't do enough law enforcement hasn't done enough digging into their own past or History in record checks of their own individuals. How does this happen. How did this happen. I wanna make sure we're talking about the the the same thing i because i'm talking about the growth or the coming out of the woodwork of of hate groups of domestic terrorism. And i think we we saw it. You know charlottesville we saw with you know in our political movement. You know we. We saw some of the things that were being sad and some of the things that were being ignored. But i do want to make sure and this is not an defense of the fbi. But we've got some serious issues. With domestic terrorism laws that really is not a domestic terrorism violation and being the even the people that are being arrested for the Insurrection in at the capitol are being charged with things that are not. You know straight out domestic terrorism Because it really is not a rest of domestic terrorism law which means that when you see people gathering when you see people talking you know that kind of rhetoric it's difficult to initiate an investigation Because there are so many protections which of course as citizens we wanna make sure that we have those protections and our privacy cannot just be you know Taken for granted and but that the laws are are are antiquated and need to be needed to be fixed. Because these groups are out there and Someone needs to Be able to closely follow and investigate them. I i'm sure you've heard of cohen. Tell pro yes. I mean that was. Yeah those were the issues during you know some of the civil rights movements of of Fbi investigating.

"Schemes or advance fee schemes or business to business. Telemarketing frauds. so i did that for the majority of my career and i loved it. You know the thing about dealing with conman is that They always think that they're the smartest person in the room. And when i walked in you know as they always underestimated may so i kinda. I kinda really enjoyed that What i like to say when people think about you know the type of things i did. And they think about violent crime and all the other kind of more sexy type investigations. I like to say that when you talk about bad guy. Is you know when they when you with a gun. They can still hundreds of dollars with a lie. They can still millions. And so that's why. I enjoy doing the type of cases that i did. Because you know they were major dollar figure Cases so now. After i retired i started this podcast. And it's actually been five years. That i've been doing the podcast. I have two hundred twenty three episodes where i speak with fellow colleagues other retired. Fbi agents about some of the fbi's cases and smaller cases that you've never heard about absolutely that is absolutely fantastic. So let's start at the top here So what made you decide to want to join the fbi. Now that's a great question. Because i don't if i ever really decided to join the i was in new port news. Virginia i'm from from the hampton area. I'm really a an air force brat but my father retired after twenty one years at langley air force space and we were in hampton. And i got a job after college. I went to morgan state. And after college i went back home and i got a job in newport news as a juvenile probation officer working with kids that were you know doing drugs and breaking into houses Prostitution all of that and I really enjoyed the job. But i was really too young. I was in my early twenties right. You know right out of college and trying to keep these kids on the straight and narrow. I was somewhat successful. But i spend a lotta time parenting. Their parents you know and many of the parents had actually been on on juvenile probation. You know when so many of my older colleagues had had their parents on their case loads. And i knew i was gonna burn out. I knew i was going to burn out. I was feeling burned out after three years. And even though. I love the job. And i love the kids that i was working with i. I knew i needed to do something else. I was a psychology major. Definitely using psychology and therapy and training with my kids on my caseload and again with their parents. But i just knew i was gonna burn out. It was such a an emotional job to to work with these troubled kids and again you know coming from troubled home lives and so i started looking around and one day i saw this newsletter..
