"F. A. C. as in virtual family assistance center and we will of course repeat that throughout the program have you had good response to the website no we have and this is something you know when we released it I was kind of blown away by by people Sir reaching out on social media and you're saying that they had been touched by the loss of a loved one or a colleague and we start to see some comic come to work for people just said they didn't know that this was something that was even possible and I'm often it might have been crossed over nine years now and and we offer amazing services organization but I've always been amazed whether it's one three extending outside of a fatal fire two AM and then speaking to loved ones who had who had lost somebody in the fire work in advance of hurricane Harvey and now we could be nineteen just being there to listen just being you know somebody who is not judging them who doesn't have an agenda who can simply allow them that opportunity to take a deep breath and to and to help them process with them on a magical thing when you're dealing with the loss of someone in your family you may not have been able to be at the hospital with while they battled this virus when you're dealing with trying to plan a funeral when you may not be able to attend it when I have to be a virtual memorial service so that's where having trained individuals who have gone through I'm comprehensive training at the red cross in in in psychological first aid and spiritual Kerr who have experience with these types of opportunities provide a lifeline to somebody who your may have dealt with this for the first time or maybe dealing with something that they never imagined I would actually touch their family so when we put this out from across the country in the in the local response on people just seemed grateful and what's also impactful about fifty people just wanted to share it share it with people they they had known had lost somebody on and what we see the red cross any service we provide helps one person then it was worth the effort I am in this situation unfortunately as the the death toll from this awful virus could still to grow and we know that many other people turn to the red cross and our partners this is not just the red cross there are a local state federal partners were also engaged in this effort I am part of this site is to pull that information hi we are currently updating this with new resources and we will over the weeks and months to come so that we know that if there's an additional program heard occasional offerings out there that can help somebody we want to make it readily available to the company can find it I need to get the help they need Jonathan McNamara again spokesman for the red.

"Than you than usual it's also one week before the end of the fund drive here at K. P. F. A. and we are in danger of not making our financial goal by the end of the drive given what has happened in the last three days the drive got off to a promising start but in the last three days the bottom has fallen out of it and we have been mired basically in the mud and frankly I've run the words that I have learned that love ideas practically to turn this around here on the evening news so I'm going to try this instead of words action so I'm going to ask twenty a view in our diminished audience tonight twenty of you to take an action and become a listener sponsor of this radio station or if you already are a financial contributor to renew your sponsorship sinking twenty of you out of our audience tonight a.

"Things you love to do and the things that are meaningful to you and those are not necessarily what's the word dad so specific the date that's it that's a category within that category you can find the things that are important to do and that will create more lock or momentum more passion more power in your life so yes I think your goals are very important and if you can turbo charge and to make them even more or less worthy you will find something that is meaningful to you that lights you up and it helps other people it just says something so powerful to your energy have those three things that's your goal so yes I would I would say that specific goals in those categories with the most powerful and what about being in a bad situation trapped between a rock and a hard place I okay do you have an answer to that I would think about it from personal from personal experience I've been been there a few times and it what you have to do in a situation like that is we have an algorithm that we use here at my institute for helping people change and it spells out the word fact F. A. C. T. and the F. stands for facing and that means that the first thing you need to do with any issue or problem is face it as it is you know you have to get on the scales and if it goes to a hundred and seventy two that's where it goes and so two faced things directly it's F. A. C. T. the second is except a stance for acceptance you have to accept where you are and that was the example I was using with the twelve step groups that to just accept that yeah I'm I'm calling it the way it is I got a drinking problem and.

"F. A. and we'll get back to your calls here a little bit but they should have been the final round of the masters doubt it beautiful Augusta it wasn't they were replaying the the final round of of last year when tiger was victorious on CBS earlier today let's walk aboard David Doucette golf week does a great job of of covering the PGA David thank you for the time here on the Sunday how are you and your family everyone staying safe yeah we're very fortunate here in Connecticut were we're all doing really well I'm usually a little bit of a golf up here after during about four innings worth of BPD my son in the backyard so he's got a swing right now it's looking like rod Carew and I got a sore shoulder but we're we're doing pretty good at good glad to hear it in and and David when you don't when you look at it in and where golf is right now the the time line that that was laid out was it early last week realistic one you know it it's difficult to say like right now who the hell knows what what realistic it's gonna look like at this point but golf I think inherently some advantages in terms of best practices in social distancing among other major professional sports you think about football basketball whether collisions everybody's sure going after the same ball etcetera and and that's the problem right now golf there's I think it's if I if I read it correctly earlier this week about forty percent of the golf course in the United States right now are still open because it inherently is the is the code the sport is played out on a much bigger stadia venue it off course can be hundreds of acres you're going to be spread out it's going to practice some common sense you know no handshakes at the end at this point you don't take the flag stick out of the hole some other things and sort of along with that one person per card etcetera you can play golf anything you can some people have said that they actually feel safe from the golf course playing thank you Mr going to the grocery store depending on where they are so professional golf it will be challenging because testing like so many other things will be absolutely critical if you're gonna bring a group of professional golfers are any athletes together are you getting the testing thing down you have to continuously do that but once sports stops I think golf might be one of the first one that comes out of the chute David distract us senior writer or Golfweek is joining us to it David if okay so there's a June fifteenth the twenty first PGA tour event now I'm not so sure about that but there's been some that have been confirmed they were talking about the PGA championship in August we're talking about U. S. open in now September we're talking about the writer couple that never change actually that's just reconfirm September twenty second twenty seven and then the masters ninety the fifteenth this is a jam packed major schedule who could benefit from that and then on the flip side who's gonna have the toughest time because I'm thinking about the amazing story of Tiger Woods last year and he said he would play the masters this year but that kind of schedule I can't be you know beneficial to a guy who's dealt with a back injury has most of his career yeah I think that there's two parts to the only answer with images but now they think it but the extended delay if you want to say it is helping out Tiger Woods because he's come out and said that his back was not a good way coming through the spring if you recall he did not play the Players Championship at TPC sawgrass he did not play Arnold Palmer's event it it bit hill a week before that he was not well but right now he's saying that his back feels great that he is totally on the mend and everything is good so I think that is is great Brooks KEPCO has had a bad knee since he had surgery with being unable to play for the U. S. in the president's Cup back in December so he's had additional time to recover I think for those two golfers this extended layoff is is been beneficial from a physical standpoint the other thing to remember unlike the NBA and the NFL in in most major sports is that golfers are independent contractors they can make up their own scheduling yes you're right the the major schedule is packed to right now the the back half of the year but it's not like the guys in necessary have to play every single I'm sure all the players we just talked about would want to place it's happening to PGA championship US open Ryder Cup it qualified in the masters but that's four weeks from August through the middle part of November basically thanksgiving how much they're going to play leading up to those events in between most of them don't have to sort of make do with their schedule but but guys will be ready and they will be eager and they're gonna physically be much fresher obviously in August September October the minute ever been you know David I'm curious and and maybe there's not is there a a seasonal difference to say Augusta to winged foot for the open and the masters respectively sure there's a couple things I think we put you know what the Merrimack is is going to be beautiful I mean we all know here in the tri state area mid mid September to be.

N. and then and there you have it eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six is the number to join the show boomer you've been texting like a maniac throughout all of this I've got more text from you than just about anybody in my life and it's a lot of articles that we read and things like that but yes all of us a question in the group text just now do you want to talk about that for a second well sure you know I was asking you guys after this pandemic calms down and we kind of get through to the other side of it do you guys see yourselves wearing some sort of surgical masks in the future in public when you're out in public because there are many in the war this world that are saying that that should be like the norm coming out of this do you guys see yourselves wearing those for him personally I I I don't I mean if I feel like we're safe enough to be able to go outside and resume most normal activities I'm gonna say known I've been pretty careful and somewhat German phobic throughout the last couple of years anyway I mean we've talked about this on the shell way before corona virus Colbert nineteen anything I would see low would come in second I tell him to put on a mask so I've always been very careful but I think that if we get the the green light from the of the doctors and and everybody feels pretty safe that I'm just gonna go back to doing all the stuff that I was doing before this and that's not wearing a mask in public but I'll tell you one thing if I see anybody sick coughing or whatever that's close to me I mean I'm going in the the other direction it's as quick as possible well the reason I say this is because if you see people in Hong Kong and Tokyo are congested condensed Asian cities you'll see that they're all wearing masks especially when they go on public transportation and you know gonna again you know cystic fibrosis he he does it no matter what so anytime he gets on a train along on railroad if you've ever heard there's goes into the subway or or is flying somewhere to go give a speech or something like that he is always wearing a mask and that was just a part of his everyday life so it's it's interesting that there are some you know health experts that are saying that it's probably the best way.

N. is curtailing their schedule and curtail and changing their roster right now kind of cutting corners okay I mean is the best way to say it listen certain people are under contract certain people get paid per show right now they're cutting back on the partial people because you know let's be honest and not someone else right now so the point of yours a little bit and they're asking us to help out so that's listen it's logical they asked me if I would do is show I said yes so I feel badly for the people who lost shows I really do I know the account on getting visibility.

"F. A. N. M. for the latest updates on the corona virus to to our sister stations WCBS eight eighty A. M. or ten ten wins so always radio sixty six Tom Brady is not leaving New England M. as one topic we we can discuss potentially we'll wait to see what happens with the NFL I guess that's the only thing remaining and it seems like they want to wait until the CBA vote comes out Sunday which is the deadline there once that happens then they're going to decide if in fact they want to push back free agency or if they want to just continue on as normal and here's open to continuing on as normal because we can use that at the very least as a distraction to be able to discuss you know the NFL free agency period which is usually a fallen frenzy right leading up to the draft you have certain teams with bunch of needs go out there and a choir players via free agency they're worried though the NFL that it might be importation of guys signing up for millions millions of dollars wall people you know around the world are scared and worried about the crown of ours but I do think they need to take the other aspect of it and realize that they have a chance to provide an escape for people at least those who care about me and I felt when there's a lot of those so we'll hear about that on Sunday until man I mean I there's an older then players testing positive or let's see Charles Barkley you know his result one way or another is going to be news all the players testing positive whether it's Major League Baseball and heard Max Scherzer earlier today I should say yes right now the officially turned to March thirteenth Friday the thirteenth your mac shares yesterday talk about now you things yes the matter of time before somebody has it I mean it's common sense you with things but one player at least one player Major League Baseball as so that stuff will start to trickle out that will become news but as far as the sports go nothing left to be shut down it is scary and depressing I have not caught up on my TV watching this week it is just been a chaotic week and I'm not sure why nine or the working late a couple of a couple nights everyone else I've been doing here the time is just flying by already Thursday night busy week with work but I haven't had a chance even watch curbs still from Sunday night no curb no better call Saul know this is us now those things have become more relevant here as we move on over the course of the next couple weeks what shows we watch what did what movies you're you're gonna go out now and go see but I need to catch up and we did some stuff on better call Saul last week and curb is a matter of fact with whole jets at the soda but I haven't caught up on that probably not tomorrow either only when I have time for that but over the weekend should have some time to get to catch up on TV unfortunately too much time to catch up on too much TV because there's no sports world at some basketball this weekend JJ was looking forward to going to Vegas I was looking forward to going to Lennix city everything changed I mean this is not just the sports world this is you know everybody's life here being impacted where you don't have Broadway shows you don't you know Jerry Seinfeld postponing is show Adam Sandler postponing show concerts being postponed what's left to do Netflix and chill pad is in the Bronx it's a Pat however series sports point to make I love it hi welcome here no no no this is about programming for us and why suggested I make but I do want to say that if you can listen to anyone on the TV about this listen to the doctors especially Dr Fauci this is in the.

"Tickets which is W. F. A. N. what's the name of the song mac heartbroken no this one is called honey bee well you guys watch the voice no I'm aware he's a part of it and I know those the wonderful American classic love story that has now become him and what's the plan you know great one of the great American classic love stories of all time so you know pleased with it that's funny because you're not usually a hater coming through I'm a man I'm pretty pretty thick or picking up what you're putting down other men to jail or just say that right now you're you're a question we ought to authentic no I'm just I just I love of people get swept up in that kind of stuff I do people from work phone love while it happens every day I remember all in working one day when the news that Anna Faris and Chris Pratt yeah yeah I know that was there were literally people who were working in the make up room correct it's like do you know these people that you very likable people no I I know I am having a great story was an early they thought they were really you know and love yeah it was it was a tough one to sorry I a little I think ridiculous I think he's engaged now their input it yeah I I think you're right care so those who can let me ask you there's never been has anybody a public divorce between two famous people as that ever hit him in a hard way no never I know because I know a lot of all I don't I'm a little skeptical always look at listen do I think that people famous people have regular relationships maybe some of them but I'll I'm always a little bit skeptical about what went wrong and why and if people are using the break up to try to get advantage some way hello here a look at it that way you're looking at how I'm being played as a member of the audience I just I know it's been so like how my getting sponsor that I takes this person side of that person such a weird way to look in love could be my favorite line of this it's such a weird way to look at a lot of he knew that I think that some relationships in Hollywood are transactional I mean come on how shocked about I'm not saying that some of it while Tom Cruise every relationship he's been it's been transactional there's no doubt about it that was talk about Tom Cruise all different when you look at Chris Pratt and Anna Faris when they were together anything please people I'm a but I've been a fan of their work so my agree personality read some stuff I mean they feel like the way they go about living their life you felt like maybe that was really a match with Mike and the Mad Dog that one yeah that one hurt that was we all kind of credible that one I know that we had that hit you guys like right right in the heart I know that was a tough one around here yeah I remember where I was we're coming back from then at the great deal best roads column in Newsday come back for my bachelor party down Atlantic city last weekend you don't have to get tipped off the shelf I'll say nothing no I thought I was at that stage I was not here not now I have plausible deniability we'll go with that as well but I believe it would happen that weekend so sons of the I can do I will I will confirm nor deny anything now I'm sure that when that all the sun came out you know he would be like in the matter of the word together longer Anna Faris and Chris Pratt and you heard from them every single day he'll Chris Pratt and Anna Faris the only time you really got the sense a little bit off yeah I thought that was a point that we were a kind of a romantic at heart are you a romantic have we met your not a romantic at heart and you know but I am a secret bachelor watcher and I know that I know you guys are and I do it because I'm on a text thread of my sister in law and his second hold on the line now and it's hotter than what you think Hollywood transactional if you're a fan of the bachelor bachelorette and that it's not true it's only to make fun of them I'm not actually I'm I'm a I'm a huge skeptic when it comes to love really yeah you don't believe in true love I do I married a married to the love of my life so I have that going for me which is great but now I'm a little skeptical of okay I think I just you know did I somehow just torpedoed poses a whole day no I I I guess I looked at where I thought a little about me made you think that I was one of these people like I don't watch rom coms I'm not really into is I'm not sentimental I said this is a part of it had to change right okay so you don't need to be sentimental to be a romantic right I thought maybe there were you a little romantic at heart I remember when you when Andrew got engaged you're in Europe you are in the cliffs of Dover right that I mean it was a few years back together was a made it was a beautiful scene I remember when you came in and you surprised we're doing that national radio show on a Saturday morning you came in and you turn the ring around during gave out and I went to your wedding Rockland county was a tremendous affair beautiful thank you you know you're you're really hard and shoes great I thought a little bit more your romantic at heart now my my my husband put that all together I still to this day I don't know how he found a photographer in London to come out to the cliffs of Dover to like hide behind a bush that we could you know what I like taking pictures like National Geographic style none of those pictures because back in hold me what I have not done it was great and if there would have been if I was the one proposing to him it probably would have been it like Joe's pizza I just I don't I don't have it in me see yeah but I'm sorry did I burst the ball running York C. "Greenough sixty W. F. A. N. they won their first game under Vaughn Spencer Dinwiddie twenty four oh one ten one oh seven win over the bulls caris levert Joe Harris added twenty three each and it's a one two straight as they look to reach the playoffs for the second straight year de Andre Jordan inserted into the starting lineup by Vaughn and he delivered a double double eleven points fifteen boards you also this response on that yet yes network on if that next new arrivals we're the ones who drove Kenny acted set out your clothes the calorie burn you know Wilson as a new player during your travels a new player if you know well known players so you know say new players put on all the new players and then there's been some reporting is putting whatever you're saying whatever the parts had said and so there has to be a hostess speculation regarding the nets next coach the obvious burrs tied a GM Sean marks including Gregg Popovich there's another pair of names tossed around it may be gaining some possibilities including one who just picked up his first coaching when Frank guys solo with the state I'm not saying it's going to happen but Sean marks like I mentioned comes from the San Antonio Spurs we make a run at a guy like Tim Duncan it may be thanks very carrier billing Kevin Durant they're gonna respect him Duncan as a coach do I think it's a long shot yes I do but I wouldn't necessarily rule it out I'll give you another name what about Gregg Popovich the great part of it for quite a crazy amount of money what do we have in Conyers first come to New York and we like the restaurants here what are you going to live here the coach that will connect is another story so I think all those names even if they sound a little outrageous I think I think it's all fair at this point all right so of Duncan's name has come up Courtney Cronin suggests another spurs assistant who's been connected to other NBA jobs prior news higher would represent a history in the league why are we not talking about Becky Hammon that's a great question and I know earlier and his last week when Tim Duncan was chosen to coach the spurs game in a good profits had a personal reason that he had to step away for cut from coaching for the night and and I thought that was a little interesting because she has been his top assistant for so many years and she is the you know feels only a matter of time before she becomes the first woman head coach of an NBA team why she didn't take on that role the other night I don't know it's just it's just weird to me that her name you know we we are pushing her name further in this smart given.

"What the sweet spot is I'm getting beers there but then the other things I guess non negotiable would be back lit LED I was what's called fault full array local dimming F. A. L. D. or fall yes yes and then when I look for that in the specifications I find no mentions about sex in any of the TV's are but when some of them some of them do some of them on the on the on line specs do specify that and some don't I agree it's it's yeah and not in because as a unit well what are you looking at what you looking at well I well unfortunately one the one that you mentioned a year ago it turns out to be seventy five inches they don't buy top out they're busy quantum and climax then there's an alley LG AT seventy Sam sung Q. LED sixty seventy nine I think you mentioned the seventy a lot of it might be the sweet spot seven to seventy is the the sixty is edge lit and the seventy is already backlit as is the queue AT and Q. ninety so I would go down to the Q. seventy that will be the lowest I would go now okay good and then Sony has the extra eight fifty GNX nine thirty G. the nine fifty mentions coal radiate yes I didn't see it I just I as I have to look that up by I think the X. fifty probably isn't full array local dimming so the nine fifty I know it is I know for sure okay X. what what how's my distance back and the other seats in this room but nobody watch TV with made so it doesn't matter and I think I think right I so fifteen feet I would definitely go with better yeah absolutely I would go with an eighty two were in eighty five no question whatsoever I'll put a link on our show notes to the our team's website where they have a yeah yeah there but they the calcular only goes to twelve feet and it says that I don't use I don't know what fifteen feet you know as big as you can afford as big as you can fit in your bedroom that's correct yeah yeah they're all they're all down to the price that I can handle I just wondered about that LG versus the Sam signing day AT seventy except sit in that category well let me let me see here you said L. G. what was it again what about a project a project or you know I have well you know that's another thought I have in my great room add you know it's a big room in it for tomorrow for the Superbowl have people wandering around the kitchens part of it the dining rooms part of it so we have a projector in there the goes to a hundred inches reason being you know it no matter where you're sitting you wanted the game is is is really big and nice projections never going to be as bright as L. C. D. cracked but Roland for that matter yeah but it looks good room yeah yeah ours it is you are you in a bright room right yes yeah we we have that high since projector short throw projector which is nice because then take up any more space than a regular TV I just put the projector on the same credenza that the TV was on right you have to it's expensive because you have to get a special screen for and all that but then you get a hundred inches yeah break room though I don't know we we we usually watch at night so it doesn't matter that we can't dark in the room that much right and I will tell you this most of the L. G. O. LCD TV's are edge lit so I I would be careful about that the L. G. A. U. M. eighty seventy I think you said the number was yes I'm I'm just looking that up now and of course my internet's going a little slow but here it is I I I'd have to look let me see if I can find a real quick I know I'm on a gun here but I suspect that's edge lit I would go with this Samsung Q. seventy yeah yeah I or the sent a Sony X. nine here's a question we know our X. nine hundred if you can get an eighty five inch we don't often address but how long are you going to have that T. V. Scott I mean that there micro he's coming along maybe five years ago all yeah that's going to be awhile before it's affordable okay so so this is gonna be a five to ten year investment yeah yeah yeah which TV is mostly are these days I I we're not as long as it used to be that's correct correct TV used to be a twenty or twenty five year investment now there are five to about five to about the age of the one I have now to this young lady can I cannot predict in five years you'll start to say yeah I'd like to see what I can get out there you know one way you future proof it is by getting four K. HD are right absolutely one HDR with I don't think I can not get it right don't worry about smart TV you're gonna get it but you're not gonna yeah there's yeah exactly there's no way no way around that so so yeah that's what I'd recommend I'd I'd go with the Samsung Q. seventy or the the Sony X. nine hundred or X. nine fifty they didn't have prices on the website yeah that was a difficult eight fifty so I just wanted to tell you are carrying them anymore nine fifty nine hundred just Google Google I'm I'm sure I'm sure you'll be able to find a way out okay great I am glad that you could stick around Scott thank yeah thanks Amanda it's nice to have a an expert of Marshall McLuhan I can pull out from behind the move I happen to have him right here he and I will could send a tech hive dot com of course every week on our show thank you Scott I prevented yeah this is the time everybody's going out looking a T. V.'s and actually it's not a bad time although Scott I think is told us that the the the only problem with buying a TV in January are you still there Scott is is yeah then I am the new a models when they come out more like the spring right this spring time yeah so you're going to summer you're twenty nineteen model almost Sir correct correct and beat master in the chat room is saying you should look for HDMI two point one I disagree with a four K. TV HDMI two point I was fine with an eight K. TV has a two one one four that's a really what he wants to point one four yeah absolutely thank you Scott you know is in my pleasure all right have a good one I have my T. V. as upset about it for four years ago three or four years ago and I couldn't be happier so I think yeah I think it's reasonable to expect at least five years maybe a maybe a little bit longer eighty eight eighty eight ask clear we will talk hi tech you in on anything on your mind eight.
