"Massive attack remember them from the s. I love massive attack. Yeah great group. As i. Three or four albums are absolutely fantastic. I think really really loved them. Particular very first one blue lines very highly recommended if if nobody's three highly recommended if anybody has noted so they've they've been becoming increasingly sort of socially and politically conscious in recent years and they have become increasingly interested in the issue of climate change. And what could be done about it and clearly. They are very conscious that as a band. The tools the world putting on shows they have a very significant carbon footprint the a lot of very wasteful use of energy that goes into a rock show on a rook tool and so they've been working with the tyndall centre which is a group of as research institute backed by group of universities in the uk On a put together this package of recommendations on what the music industry could do not necessarily to become zero carbon but to become they say super a low-carbon and it's really interesting things. Some sort of quite obvious things like not using a diesel generators outside events. Try to use Renewables and storage for that. They talk about shifting to using renewable. Cng for their trucks when the carrying stuff around those kind of things probably fairly easy to do some also some pretty radical suggestions like the idea that basically groups would stop traveling with the whole With massive lighting rigs sound systems. That you adjust have those would be fixed in place. In each individual venue the group would just turn up and play with the lights and the sound system that there when they get there of the very fundamental change through we looked at the moment but would greatly reduced the amount of freight and cargo but have to be carried around the other suggested may have is the rockstars should perhaps consider giving up the use of private jets and maybe travel by trade instead. Which i think is interesting Provocative suggested that we were talking earlier about Personal responsibility and how Individual lifestyle changes on going to tackle the problem of climate change. And i guess that's true Rockstars as well even if you look stars giving up that private jets. That's not going to solve the problem but it would be quite interesting. Obviously you have a lot of people talk about environmental environmental responsibility. A lot of people Raise concerns about climate change in the rock industry in medium brutally movie star. Talk about it as well because an interesting sign of them kind of living their values. If you like if they did start to give up his private jets stay. Were interesting to see how much traction massive attack get without proposal. Yeah this is an area to watch. The guardian had a piece of many months back about the music industry grappling with its in post pandemic environmental impact and there are a lot of cut music consumption trends. That may hold people. More people might be interested in watching concerts remotely online rather than going to concerts. I mean i think we all still wanna go to live concerts But a lot of industry groups are forming around carbon management and carbon reductions and how to bake in carbon reductions to ticket sales and how to reduce emissions from touring as you explained and there's also this post pandemic component where you have people consuming music in different ways and that that may play into it as well so i find that quite compelling i also we'll say as an aside that one of the first interviews i ever did When i started covering this space in two thousand six was with the nineties rock group bare naked. Ladies who had been touring with a biodiesel bus and talking about the environmental impact of their touring and and they came on one of the first podcast. I produced and talked about a talked about this issue. So there were a select. Few thinking about it catherine. 'cause this el gato. Doc is pretty sweet too. I bought i bought the The imax thing. Okay the the new one where you plug the acceler. Mike's into it. Which i is. I absolutely don't need but i thought that i could go back to my assam seven. Be sure at the desk. Because you know not that i couldn't before i'm just like i like the simplicity of it the device is so slick you just plug the mike thing into the back. The usb see over to the computer and that's it there's there's one there's two cables to the whole thing in allows you to use your best mike and then you also get to use the software which is pretty slim but on my my old setup i had to use some very like universal audio software that was like way fancier than i had to run like three apps at once to to really connect and work right and so then i was like screw all. This is as deep as i am financially to this setup. It wasn't working that well and It's a lot of crap on my desk and it's just not that simple feeling. So i bombed at all to go the other way. 'cause sure makes the sure seven or what are some kind of forget what it is but it's just usb only like you rock with the road right justice usb into nothing you think about crap. "Search bar. Exelon so of course. You can't have a collapsing. Third world republic without corrupting elections process. I know better waited speed. The collapse than telling people vote doesn't matter because it's not who votes. It's who counts the votes right. Listen to this video audio out of arizona. What the hell is going on in arizona. It appears at some older information again. These are allegations. They turn out to be not true. When there's an explanation as we always do we will give you the explanation. I haven't heard yet. You want to send one over my way. I'll be happy to hear it. Here is a forensic auditor in arizona and state senator in a back and forth about information prior to february february of this year. Remember obviously the election was november. Twenty twenty or they can't seem to access information prior to february on these arizona. Routers that were involved in the election. Check this out. So there's thirty seven thousand queries and they were done on this one day and the reason we need this blunk logs is because those thirty seven thousand queries churned the the data so that you can only look back to february fifth or what was the date of february fifth february fifth. And obviously we need to go back to the election. We need to be looking at the election day prior to the election day looking at access. So we don't have that what we were given. We don't have that. That window is the critical window. We need to look at script okay. They're an innocent explanation for that. Could be. i'm not a leftist journalist. Hack we do actual facts here investigative reporting. I haven't heard it. Why is that data missing. According to this forensic auditor is hiding somewhere as has been located so prior to february fifth the information we need to determine what happened in that election. Much of that data that they're looking at is gone. Why would it be gone. Was it a mistake. Could be but again. Why does this. Why does the evidence of misfeasance or malfeasance keep piling up with no one in the media seeming to question this at all outside of conservative. Allah's why if it was a free fair and honest election then wouldn't debunking these stories and some of them by the way of turned out to not be true. Wouldn't that produce a better result. Wouldn't the public say okay. We looked at it. And here's why it's wrong. But many of these stories out of georgia in arizona. There is no seemingly common sense explanation. I told you we're going to stay on top of this. I meant it when we get answers. We have news about these audits. We will put them on the air. I get emails from people often. Listen folks. I have a very thin skinned because products for you and if you're upset about the product that i'm upset about the product you are my customer. You're the only voice it matters. I get emails from people. That are very strange. Sometimes one guy emailed me the other day dan. you've yet to mention the audience. I was like. I responded back. I'm sorry i said sir. I he says i can't listen anymore. I said no harm done because you don't listen now clearly because you don't watch the show. Whenever news breaks we think is worthy of you hearing it. When i got to bombard you would stuff we put it out there. We've been a leading voice on it. I'm very sorry the guy that clearly doesn't listen. Tell me you don't listen to something you don't listen to but the products for you. Your is concerned about this. As i am. This is a serious question requires an answer now because corrupt elections again are the hallmark of collapsing. Third world regimes. You rarely if ever see third world. Collapsing societies that are free and fair elections. Rarely this appointing folks. What else is the hallmark of the free world. Just like for right now. Okay had just wanna do. I think top and do that one space and then walk away you give yourself a pat on the back and saying you did your first space. It's a win always like exelon and call it a victory and do another spice tomorrow. If they're already you know mentally that's all they can handle for me. It gets my fire started. I'm like okay now. I'm going to do now named underneath the thing and you know it just gets me so excited to be able to have another spice. That actually found my stuff in. So that's not always say. Just take a deep breath in and just for me envision what you want it to look like and how you wanna feel is the most important and then you can go from there and accomplished that.
