Probe in the new york state legislature and resounding calls from top democrats from president biden to house speaker. Nancy pelosi to step down. Wasting energy on distractions is the last thing that state government should be doing. And i cannot be the cause of that today. Cuomo denied claims of sexual harassment but apologized to those women who is a difference between alleged improper conduct and concluding sexual harassment. Now don't get me wrong. This is not to say that there are not eleven women who i truly offended. There are and for that. I deeply deeply apologize. I take full responsibility for my actions. Rep. Lee Zeldin Thinks NY Gov. Cuomo's Resignation Was Long Overdue

"Did this decision surprise you from the man who has shown such arrogance in office. We actually all got numb to the way. This governor operates and i believed that He should should've resigned a long time ago actually before way before the report. We're talking about several months ago. We were calling for his resignation for a totally unrelated issue the the fatal nursing home ordering cover up and the serious allegations that came out and we were saying on our side of the aisle responsibly. That there should be a process. There should be investigation. Let's see what his side of the story is. And then the geez report came out. I think actually on top of the ag with their conclusions about state and federal crimes being violated also the way cuomo and his attorneys were talking. They're really making him. Seem more guilty. A andrew cuomo is saying that his conduct is okay because he's sixty three years old that he's italian his attorneys saying that there's no cheese and crackers on the second floor so it was impossible. That ever happened or you know. He hardly knows his executive assistant. So i think that as we were getting to today if he didn't resign that would be on brand because of his arrogance. As you point out but then if you did resign the all of us will also be saying you know really what took you so long. I mean. We knew that he should have resigned. He seems to be like the last one who got the memo

To purchase this paperback book. And circulated in mass. In our inner cities. I said, Well, this sure as hell explains things in Philadelphia, where I Mostly familiar. "And so now it's almost impossible to get through the FedEx phone tree. I know. I'll talk to my should try to reach out and behind all his show. You know what we need? I swear to God, I'm gonna do this. I'm going to start when I started bitching about 18 T. The president heard about it of a TNT. And his executive assistant reached out to me. And they wanted me to contact them. Now I think what we need to do is gather together. All of the CEOs or some, they all have special ombudsman or people when you have a very serious problem. And Mark I don't want to give out completely what I want to do, But I want to make it easier for people to complain with unorthodox problems. It's not always just I didn't get the package. There are different things you want to complain about. Where would you complain? If, like the UPS driver Stole something. The drive of the police. I'd say you stole my package, dude. But I'm serious. I'm dead serious, wouldn't you? We need to start doing stuff. Help to help people complain so I want we're gonna help you Judas to get through to someone at FedEx. Thank you and Tom, I want to just make something clear. A regular FedEx drivers. Do a fine job they delivered to our front door. It is the home delivery. Oh, is that those who, folks I don't know how every time you talk about like Mark, What's that new delivery service our area that's Amazon. They are managed by fed A like a FedEx magnet on their vehicle because of the overload. Oh, man, They must be some cool shit. I don't know factors. I don't know what she's talking about. But how about putting a sign over there? No deliveries here. Well, we're not allowed to do that because of our H O a rules. And I talked to the president of the association and they are doing this with other residents here. No FedEx needs to address this. It's probably exactly what Suzanne just said. It's overload. They've got drivers out there that have never done that. They're like uber FedEx or something actually. Yeah, well, she said that the people who put signs up They were ignored. Okay? They don't care. All right. We're gonna find some. I wonder if it's what times of it's a different driver every day, though. Well, that's true Mark. There's got to be a place I mean, there's gotta be a way to get through these companies, Bake him some cookies and leave him. Another is got to be a way. There's gotta be a way to get through these companies. I want to ask people They've been successful complaining to some of these online giants. No, I'm not talking about like virtual companies. But I mean, really, who do you reach out to? There is for example, there's a problem with Facebook. I swear to God I still have to this day. Who this day. What is it? It's It's the weirdest problem in the world. My identity, one of them, The one does not show up on Facebook. So I can't be used as an administrator or something. I have to go in and make a second identity canceled. You've been Trump and when I go in and try to use my original email, my genuine email it says it's associated with an account. You can't do it. So then, when you try to find the account, it doesn't exist so you could get rid of it. Yeah, and then start over. So I had to go in with an alias. Email address to start it zone. Amazing thing, because there's nowhere to complain. There are problems every day where there's nowhere to complain. Why? Because you never talk to a person. I swear to God, if companies simply gave a place for people to talk to someone it would alleviate bad will. And it would alleviate a lot of bad reviews. You've seen how long I've been on hold with a TNT. No, You did that for me One day. Listen, So when they finally do pick up, let's say you're on hold 45 minutes and I don't care. I'm using 80 antique is literally I'm on hold with him when they finally pick up. What do you do? Do you say other on? I'll be right back. Upsy. He's He just He just got picked up. Okay, Here's what I want to say. I'll tell you what pisses me off more than anything. Have you ever been on hold with people? I swear to God, I was on hold one time for 45 minutes. Then I got with a person who stayed with me 15 minutes but couldn't answer the question and hung up. They don't say goodbye. You just hear a click and what do you do about it? There's nothing you can do about it. You're just off. There's nothing more frustrating in the world. I mean it. I'd like to hear your stories. First and foremost, I'm typically the first one in last one out of the office on Dime there because I truly believe in and what it is that we're doing. Being genuine, so generally listening and hearing both franchises as well as the team, and then you know, being passionate and excited and really committed, So it's one thing to a set of gold but not achieve it. But for myself and for the team. We set the goals and and we love them out of the water. Typically, that's great. Yeah, Terrific. OK, last question for you. We're talking about lifestyle change and how two people actually Go on that journey when they make a decision that I want to change something in my life where I want to better my life and two things that you said really I feel we're keys. One is you seems like you asked. Ah lot of questions. You didn't just sit back and say, Oh, well, this is what I do, but you were always asking for that next. Information next level. How do you do this? Why do you do that? And the other thing I got out of what you're saying is you're established Sling a timeline. In other words, I have a goal. And in and whether or not you always meet that gold. It's not that you worry about that. But you have to establish some type of goal that you say I'm gonna do this in a year. I'm going to do this in six months. It helps you because there times that you want to get up. You just hit it in the nail when I what's going through my trash. It was four long years 2.5 years I felt that I had left shore. I couldn't see the shore behind me. But I couldn't see the short ahead of me. And I think maybe as you quit right now, and I go. No, this is the gift that I want to give to need by this amount of time And whenever I felt That I wanted to give up. You know what I did? I went if I bought a CD of classical music and one of his pieces, Woz, and I think it was number three. It was the Ida the song that they sing when you're going down the aisle in when you're getting your degree, and every time that I wanted to give up everything that I was commuted, I would Love that Ian blasting and I listened to it and visual life when I am going to be walking there, I woke up there twice. I got my bachelor's degree and I get my MBA well, so I was able to do it, But that's what pushed me that little thong that little tiny thing and whenever I wanted to give up, that's what kept me going, and there's going to be the day when I do this. And then I started envisioning. What if envisioning you envisioning? That's the other thing you were envisioning and the song was Er, that helped you go along. Some people tell me that they put something on their mere in the bathroom. A little saying or something that says, you know, this is my goal. This is what I want to do, or this is going to be the outcome. I'm gonna be able to travel to this place. You know, once I do that, So, Yeah. So all of these things Marlon was inspirational to your transformation your lifestyle change in your own life. And we're going to. We're going to take a break. But when you come back, you are going to tell us how you started a company. Your own company. Called Marquis and coaching, And now you teach the very tools that you learned along the way you teach the others so they can make that lifestyle change. And I just have to say, you know, here at the Miami rescue mission, Broward Outreach centers were all about lifestyle change. And as our you know that sometimes the people that come to us are the most desperate. They are the homeless there. They're hurting. They're hungry. They air that abused But as they come in, we want, teach them the tools and help them with that vision of what can be and given that education in everything that you said is just some other things that we do here. So I was with you. I was rooting with you. As you were talking in saying, Yes, yes, That's exactly what you have to do. You've got to be questioning. You've gotta have a timeline. You've gotta have an education and you have to have something that shows you. This is my future, and I'm not going to give up until I get that. Well, Marlin, we're gonna tell everybody right now, Please don't turn that dial because we'll be back in just a moment with more life changers and more with Marlon Cantrell. You are listening to.

"For entrepreneurs by pairing them to two dedicated and on demand assistance, who are available Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. And they keep their time tracked by the minute. The assistants always respond to client communication within an hour and usually within minutes. Our client's truly feel like they have a full time employee without the salary overhead. This makes the service affordable for businesses that may only need 15 10 15 hours a week, and not always consistently. If a client doesn't need the help of their systems for a week or two. They don't get built and they pick up exactly in the same place with the same assistant when they return. Chatter. Boss stands out from other services because we offer two dedicated assistance. That means that there is coverage no matter what if your primary assistant ISS sick or on vacation, the backup assistance steps in without skipping a beat. We're able to cover a wide variety of tasks from calendar management, email, management, billing, social media, custom research and more. So we like to say that anything that an in person assistant is able to do a chatter boss Virtual executive assistant is able to dio were sold. That's where has this been You know? How do you know how many people say I need two of me enough to go around? That's just exactly what that is. Oh, that would be great. Do you need more of you Give us a call. Yes, that's exactly it. And the reason that we chose a two assistant model is that one in order to be able to fill in the gaps? If you only have one assistant, they might get sick. They might go on vacation. Something might come up. They might. I want to be an assistant anymore. And so the constant on boarding of a new assistant really takes up a lot of time working with our service clients know that their reliably able to know who their assistant is. There is a backup assistant. And if for any reason, even both assistants leave, we will hire and we will train a new assistant without any charge. How do they know exactly where the other person left off? Is there like a file with each person to know exactly what's what Yes. Oh, that's a great question, and our company's really built on 100% transparency. I know with a lot of cos you don't know how that happens. So with us. Actually, each of the clients knows exactly how that transition takes place. We use a project management software that not only do we have access to internally, but all of our clients are able to have access to that same project management software. So you see exactly which assistant is handling what when it's going to be do and what their notes are. Wow. So how do you communicate? Like if I needed something in five minutes? Could I call one of these people? Can I do Skype resume email. The primary way of communicating with our assistance is via IOS app. If you're in an iPhone and with a dedicated phone number if you are in an android S so you're able to communicate to us. There will always respond under an hour, usually within minutes and within the app. There's also a schedule a call feature. So you're able to look at your assistance calendar when they're available, and you're able to schedule either a phone or a video called to communicate with them. So it's the craziest request that one of your assistance has ever gotten. We once had a request to so Usually so they are. You know, they're they're crazy requests. But if you if you throw money at a problem, there's you know, it's a really good chance that somebody is going to be able to solve it. So the most so the murders exactly so the most complicated problems or the most difficult tasks that we've had to solve for Is when a client doesn't want to pay above retail for something that's really scarce and they wanted quick so they don't want you to run up the hours and also, they don't want to pay above market, which is, you know you're able to buy that product. So we had an instance with a Nintendo that was impossible to get, and people were standing on line and with virtual assistance. We, you know, in that area, we didn't have anybody that was able to come and stand on line. So we were actually able to convince somebody at a walmart to give our assistance a call back when they had a shipment and the client went there, and they got it for retail price the types of tasks that we get its We really mean it when we say anything that an in person assistant is able to dio really popular tasks are email management. Calender management. So, for example, for you guys, you guys are all here and you're busy entrepreneurs. I'm sure that you actually have a system. I'm not doing e mails during the show. Exactly. But if there is some we can set up a system with an assistant. Monitoring your inbox of there is something urgent. They have a system to be able to reach out to you. You can also know that you don't have to worry if your out of pocket for multiple hours because there's somebody watching all of your your methods of communication. We're able to do custom research. Make appointments for you. Work on spreadsheets, pivot tables, create pitch, Dex communicate with your customers and with your client's project management, so we're very, very strong generalists. Do people ask you to do personal things for them outside of just business? Yeah, exactly. So we specialize in supporting entrepreneurs and business owners. However, for a lot of these entrepreneurs and business owners, they actually might have an executive assistant that that's working for them. It's a hedge fund owner. They haven't executive assistant in the office. However, they might not want to burden that assistant with their personal tasks. And so that's where we'll step in. And so for some clients will work only on the personal tasks. And we often have a lot of husband and wife teams where one a sustainable tag team for the both of them helping them with their family life. Thank you so much. Valerie Donahue for talking with us about chatter, boss How can our listeners get in touch with you? They're able Tio Go on our website chatter. Boss B. O S s. Dot com Also,.

"<music> thank god you thinking it's tuesday. Mine engineers japan came out today day. It usually comes out on thursdays. I huge amount of people don't even notice because they just get it on the weekend or whatever i decided to switch my i to podcasts so ninja news. Japan will come out on tuesday. Veloce podcast will now come out on thursday because i do my recording on tuesday which means i do all my notes notes on tuesday morning so my research from the week is culminated on a tuesday. This being news oriented spite the fact. It's only a few days. I figured it'd be better to to have the news be as fresh as possible because it is relatively timely. I know if you're listening to this podcast. You're not really worried about timely news because it's not actually what we're doing here. The loss of podcast because it's just opinions and talk in general stuff doesn't actually matter if it comes out at any time so it's essentially supposed to be timeless so i figured the swap made more sense so tuesday's because i record engineers japan will now becoming on tuesdays philosophy podcasts if you listen to that becoming out on thursdays if you don't i mean you can subscribe to it or not. I'm not gonna push you. I'm not one of these lichens subscribe guys. It's not early. This week is just this is what it's going to be from now on you. You probably don't care. I basically just update my podcast once a week. Sometimes i think i should start a survey podcast like not focused on japan. I i have another podcast in it's focused on general topics but i ended up talking about surveys a lot and i really enjoy talking about surveys. I used to teach a class at a big steel import company in english class for a high level executive assistant so it was all really nice ladies who were assistance to the president of the company vice presidents and the board of directors and stuff so they were all really really smart. I started bringing in for them. A chart of the week charts most often come come from <hes> surveys in the like. I mean i know it's just visual representations of information but they do. They do base a lot of the stuff on surveys and that's interesting information at first they thought it was really funny is kind of this weird quirky thing the teacher did but then after a while they got really into it and they started really look forward to the chart of the week a lot of the stuff on ninjas japan almost weekly we hit surveys and i just really enjoy the survey content and i was thinking i could branch out. I don't have time to make another podcast. I'm already working on about four or five projects at the same time so i don't really have time to start another podcast a should i ever end up having time to do you nothing but podcasting professionally. I think that might be an interesting direction going but anyways joshi spot so spa is a fairly fairly common name in japan for you know garbage magazines..

The shooter went from Florida floor. He knew where he was going. He was shooting people. Indiscriminately just firing opening opening fire on people inside that building. So the police response here is going to be a key part of this, in that it prevented more people from alternately getting injured. Two weapons were recovered a rifle and a semiautomatic. I'd like to see what is obstruction of Justice because I mean, the scale and the number of episodes in the way that the president tried to stop this investigation without stopping it. And that needs to be pointed out, he's just more than that needs to be pointed out, and so I'll do it for you because you're incompetent left-wing hack boob. And worse. Every actual action. The president took was the opposite of obstruction. It was the provision of information. And if Muller actually thought there was obstruction of Justice. Then how can he conclude that? There was no conclusion. No collusion. If he actually thought there was obstruction of Justice. What is he used? The report to smear the president of the United States instead of actually going on improving. It. Because you can't show obstruction of Justice. "Maybe so great that I'd interviewed many people who just felt either wasn't worth it or was too much of a hassle. I interviewed one woman who. Had actually been a personal assistant and had once had a personal assistant at the same time. She essentially in her job was someone's to someone's executive assistant. But she also had a neighbor someone in her life who had recently hit on hard times. It was willing to help her out with stuff. And so for that one month, she had it on both sides said it was a miracle amazing to have someone helping her who was really really good at this stuff and nonetheless, she wasn't willing even though now she's married in to someone who could afford for her to have health like that. She wasn't willing to go through the startup costs of trying to find someone new a number of people. I talked to the people that they used as personal systems were people they found through serendipity in some way, somebody already was embedded in the so that the transfer costs weren't so high, but the other piece of this is even if you are lucky enough to have the money to afford someone to find someone great to be your personal assistant. There are the the costs of managing hell. With things are themselves, Adleman guess. All right can be really time consuming, and especially people know this in I think much more daily way, many of us if we have kids that if you have babysitters if you have people who help with your kids finding those people, and then, you know, managing them scheduling them scheduling when they miss on. They're not available paying them. And then if you go do taxes for someone that's it's own project. And then when they leave you they still may come back and want references, which is totally reasonable on their part because I check references for babysitters but taking calls for references or writing reference letters. I mean, this is this is a whole brought job and somebody in the household is doing it. If you're bringing on any kind of help, and that work is almost always invisible. I love what you said about basically, there's the work that you have to do in order to do the work. You have to do the work to get the work done. I was I was thinking also there's some of the stuff. That's like it's it's repetitive. It's it's cyclical like there's kind of a predictive. Amount of work to it. But then there's this whole other outside realm of stuff that can enter in at any time that any given free moment of your life. You could be doing more life admin stuff. Absolutely. And every moment it could fill. For many of us anyway could still a lifetime. Now that said there are real differences in how much Adleman different people have. So I talk about this. As I talk about the two great divides around Adleman one is around privilege. So the the admin of people of means is really different from the Adleman of people dealing with poverty. One of my hopes in the book is that I'll be able to help create kind of more Adleman compassion, both at it will be more possible to see how overwhelming poverty is. If you see that if you have a pile of mail in your hallway like sometimes, do I can I can live with that. And nothing terrible. It's gonna happen to me. But if you're on public benefits, you lose your housing because you don't open your mail for a short period of time. And so it's a lot worse and yet the compassion pieces. I also want us all to be able to see that. Even if somebody's admin is worse than yours. Your admit can still be really painful, and it still counts. And so the point isn't for any of us to think like, wow, somebody else's worse off. Also, I should just walk around feeling elated all the time, you know, that's just not possible. But the other big divide is around quantity. And some people are in adamant onslaughts, you know, somebody who's spouse has just died. I interviewed a a widow who talked about realizing after her husband died that she suddenly there was all this invisible work he'd been doing for their household that she now had to take on..

"Now, the other side of things is you have to ask yourself. Do. I want to do that and helping organizations go in and out you're still I think you're still working for yourself in that situation is that correct? I think so that's another thing I need to get clarity on. And I just really wanna make sure I'm loving the work. I'm doing most importantly, because here's what we know. That's right. That's why I wanted to switch gears for moment. Back to the initial part of the conversation. I don't think there's any question your heart. Skips a beat and you get excited about having your own place. You know, alleys organizational depot, that's not what it is. But I think you I think you get jazzed about that having your own business, right? Yeah. Yeah. I already named it. It's called balanced OAS because I love like holistic wellness and things like that. And so it's kinda geared towards lo whatever really want to create for people like a space, like less mess, less stress. Those. Okay. I'm jumping out. I don't think that this industrial psychology degree and this role that comes with it where you go into organizations and help them. Yes. The topic. The subject matter is something that you care deeply about what I think everybody that's listening to this show. Just heard how your voice changed you. You just went into a happy place when you said Kenneth Ernie named it you have to listen to that that's your heart. That's your heart. So now the question becomes what's the best way to? Oh, did I hear some emotion there? Yeah. I wrestle with a lot of self doubt. And I feel I second guessed myself from time. So I just kind of like jumping around a little bit. That's true. Yeah. I was a little nervous. I'm gonna confess to you and the whole audience. I was a little nervous pushing you back to alleys organizational depot what you call it. Your on your names a much better. Okay, balance. Oh acis. I thought I was being a little risky. I'm gonna tell you the truth. I always tell her the truth. I was a little nervous pushing you there. But I'm so glad I did because your heart is just confirming it for all the audience plus me pace, you you know, at nine. No it. Yeah. Okay. So now, we've identified what's really going on. You've got some self doubt, which we don't need unpack here. It's nobody's business this particular situation because we have clarity. We have to fight the self doubt. And you're gonna talk yourself into a potential degree that you don't want that you can't afford. And you don't honestly have the time to deal with versus you start stepping into this space on the side. And I'm going to give you a copy, my friend, Kristy rights, book business boutique, okay already have it. Good reading it right now over that's even better. So she's going to get you so much practical advice in that on how to start that on the side and build it. And you're young you got time. Go ahead. Sorry. Go ahead. Okay. I do have another question 'cause I have about four jobs right now because I am trying to get out of debt. And my my word for twenty nineteen is hustled. This. I did get another opportunity recently that I I do want to take advantage of. But I'm I'm just unsure what is that? Because well, it's an opportunity was like an executive assistant. I just don't want to distract me from you know, my goal of this business. But also, it would I would have like my job..
