Sashi Brown, Sashi And Browns discussed on Around the NFL
"Brown you remember him. The former her rounds executive vice president who during his brief tenure there <hes> tore down the franchise built up draft picks they went one in twenty seven passed on Wednesday <unk> Shawn Watson Watson but then after he was canned all those picks lead to things like myles Garrett Baker Mayfield Denzel Ward and now the browns are on the up well. He got a job wondering we're just talking about where Sashi he's working with the wizards organization in the N._B._A.. <hes> they have some type of new program called monumental basketball new newly formed collective <hes> between the wizards and mystics or the W._n._B._A.. Version of Washington's franchise anyway and also the capital city Gogo with the G. League into that I missed that anyway so brand will be <hes> the chief planning operations officer so if you're wondering if Sashi would land on his feet he will and depending mark mark on how the browns due this year and in the coming years history will look back on him as a hero. I think that most browns fans already would look back on Sashi Brown and say a lot of pain that went along with his plan but it was successful and to go to another sport doesn't concern me at all because it's not like football or front of analytics well. That's Paulie DEEPA DESTA WHO still with Brown quietly behind behind the scenes. If SASHI TURNS The Washington Wizards around around they might be as smart as all of the Evans Silva Acolytes and all that and thank you hey. He took myles Garrett so he gets credit for it so he had jared okay good.

"I mean, the versatility thing to me is huge sit says a lot about you know, they do studies. Fran and guys end up playing a true freshman. That's usually a really good sign because it showed able to it. Should it makes sense? Yeah. I think Evans Silva from the fantasy feast he saw some study where they go through the guys that play and have success as true freshman, and a lot of times those are some of the same guys that have success in the NFL because it shows how quickly they're able to adapt to another level play. And also it shows. That it kind of natural for you know, what I mean? Like, it just it's things understanding the game at the next level comes naturally for them. Because a lot of times the guys just they just don't they it takes them a while to figure it out right to figure out the blocking angles or to figure out what routes to run and kind of how to get separation those type of things. So I look at a guy that played multiple positions like dealer and did a successful. That's a huge feather in his cap in my mind because to be able to play three different positions at a high level that shows me that he just gets it. And that things even if he's not a an Ulta charts athlete that things come very naturally for him in terms of playing offense of line and being able to play at a high level at multiple positions. And the fact they sort of fifty four games and started that early Wisconsin. Plus you watch him. And I don't know what there isn't too. Like, I was watching him his junior year. He's playing left tackle. And honestly friend. He looked plenty athletic to me. I mean, I, you know, I didn't expect them to run a four eight forty or anything like that. You know? I don't think he had the greatest feat in the world. But I thought he was plenty athletic to even give it a shot at tackle any NFL. I think though because isn't never the longest arm. He doesn't have crazy feet. I think that you're right. They'll probably put him at guard. And I do think he can be a Pro Bowl caliber player guard when he is able to focus in on one position. And just really really put all his time and effort into that one position. I would I would think that he is a high second round pick in my mind because he is a guy that I would expect to start in the opening game of the season. Yeah. And that's kinda thing. We've we've you him. Very very similarly. He's a he's a guy that I'm really really excited about I think that his transition will be pretty easy to the NFL. Who's the guy that you like friend? But something about them scares you. I'm gonna go with Jerusalem mea the offense of Lyman from Oklahoma. Now, he's another guy that has had some has the position versatility. He's a four year starters and other guy who jumped right into the big twelve and started as a true freshman started nine games at right tackle his first year on campus, then from that point on two thousand sixteen he started twelve games at right guard, and he never left that spot since that point has been a longtime starter there for the Sooners. I look at this kid number one. He's one of the most athletic linemen in this class. I know he test he tested. Okay. Intest out of the out of this world. But on film, his movement skills are really really impressive. He was the big twelve offensive lineman of the year this past season. First team all conference was second team all conference last year. And I think when you look at s'amuse, he's really athletic. He's mean, he's versatile. The question you have with MRs size. He came in at three oh five his arms or thirty three inches. On the dot. So, you know, he's probably not a tackle..

"Her contest winners to sit through a hundred phone numbers one hundred addresses hundred names right down on a piece of paper for our producing staff. It's all great. It really is photos hundred ticket giveaway out. That promo is my night there. What's worse? A promo for having to discuss with the irate giant fans. The worth of Eli man, irate giant. He was just doing that. And so he had to ID going which made him grown many. He's also arguing that Saint Martin, man. This is a new thing they're doing now to like Bill Bill take an ally stat that's better than a boomer staff from one boomer played. Yeah. It'd be like really boomer doesn't like Eli. Eli has a hill. Nondescript stats from a different era of quarterback. Get lost. Please boomers sitting here getting paid to give an opinion. You like it or not too bad, Dan and Carter at Dallas, Dan. What's up, man? Hey, fellas. How you doing good morning? Good morning. Dan. I'm torn and confused as a giants fan. Because I I I agree with your logic. In your viewpoint that the giants should draft a quarterback this year and have them get acclimated to the organization and the giants way of doing things, and you know in his rookie season. He's not gonna start obviously allies gonna start the season. But I also agree with the logic of colleague ears that comes on three o'clock in the afternoon. You may have heard of them names, Mike, but he says the giants should use all their chips to fill all the holes and not draft a quarterback this year because they are going to go with Ye lie. This is his last hurrah. And then look to draft a quarterback next year. The only downside to that is they're not going to have a number six in the first round most likely because I think the giants will do better this season. If they still all these holes, these twelve draft picks, the moves they've already made a total agreement with them getting rid of Odell stand that guy. He's a cancer to the team in the locker room. So I try I'm torn confused the giants fan, I know the output up a. Poll on the morning show account yesterday on should the giants draft a quarterback at number six was like thirty eight hundred plus votes at all pretty much lean towards yes. So that's where on that very confusing frustrating, and I'm torn well, it shouldn't be, Dan. Because what happens? Okay. So the giants are going to go all in this year for Eli manning. It's the last year of his deal at thirty eight years old now, you're telling me that works. Let's just say a works. And they go to the playoffs. Now, what now you've got to pick way down in the first round. You're gonna assign Eli manning to an extension. What the hell are you doing at some point? You have to address the future. And now would be the time when you have all this draft capital. It's one of those phrases, but it applies here. I mean, I just don't understand standing by ally. Manning with the way that he has played. It's just nuts to me. But I don't know how anybody could be torn you should have been torn last year. You shouldn't be torn this year. I mean, it's pretty obvious. To me. But I guess there's other opinions out there. Let's go to James in Pennsylvania. James what's happening? Arabic that I followed that guy. Jio we need. We need your help. Need your help? Okay. I've been screaming since the Gino incident that there's a problem from the top of the organization would Eli manning. And now recently with the whole thing Evans Silva from rota world recently did a podcast. He's a big fantasy football guy. Follow Evan Silva. He he's amazing with the the information. He puts out every week. Nominal, right. So check out a couple of days ago. A couple of maybe a week ago. He did a podcast with some guy called the podfather fantasies. Something guy if you can look them up on on Twitter, but they came out with a podcast that was phenomenal. If you're a giant fan, or you're following this whole thing, it was an hour of what's going on in the organization, and you guys. This is perfect. Okay. Francesa, I was in. I was horrified as a giant fan when I heard that. But you can trace back and go back to a different francesa ranch. And the giants are catering. Every thing the pope says, and and we need your help as giant fans with that impression that you do that maybe we can pull like a little switcheroo on merit. And if you're begging begging for quarterbacks, maybe they'll think it's him, and we can take Rosen or we can address the problem with Haskins. Because guys if you go back and trace man, it is scary in Evans Silva, giant sucks. You know, what it's funny because there was another giants beat guy. I think I wanna say it was Dan Dugan who put something out will have to go back. And look that said that the giants brass listening every day at three PM or something had floated that out there too that it seemed like they were Mirroring all the stuff that Mike had said, well, either that or they're feeding Mike the stuff to say. Yeah. I've seen that before. Yeah. Yeah. I did. I didn't hear the latest. Mike giant stuff? I did see that he has an opinion allowed to have an opinion whether whether it's accurate or not that's only time to always time can tell right because the proof is in the performance. I don't know. I've played the NFL for fourteen years. I know what Josh Rosen went through last year in Arizona. I know what the giants are going through here with Eli and the loyalty to him. I also know the difference between. Because he's a winner. That's why. Okay. Good. Thanks L. But I also know that the reason why they got rid of OB j I know that they don't have to tell me right now. All we know. So I it's just it's it's amazing. Amazing. I did see funhouse posts that classic Mike thing where he tells you about what's going to happen in the sports calendar is if he's the only one with access to it. Whether it gets a little warmer, and then all of a sudden. Okay. And then you look outside and he got sixty degrees. All of a sudden, it's the summertime I and then you don't work for three months. And then you come to love the summer. I mean, he does it all the time. Classic filler thing. And now here in got thanksgiving, and then you move on. And then after that you're gonna Christmas. New Year's and here we all and we got the playoffs. Bleak, dude. You know, how the calendar works. Your voice Harrison, call them senile. He did I don't know. What the hell that's all about. Have pain and photograph? I know, but we can't be making fun of senility senility. Right. I mean, come on snacks back off a little bit. I think what happened is didn't didn't. Oh, come on what who control role. Yeah. Didn't he kinda like tattle on Mike about something about snacks? On Twitter or something like that. Internal role said he said that you are a cancer in the lock or locker room lawyer. And then snacks responded to what he was told by role. I it was I I'm not sure how when I just saw that snacks cold senile and said that he paid got paid four thousand dollars a sign autographs form or something I paid snacks four thousand dollars to pay for tweet, Greg in Connecticut. Greg what's happening? Thanks. Better than I deserve. So hey, I'm a huge fan. Okay. And I hear all this stuff about Tyler Perry. And it seems like guys want him. You know, they they look at these tapes guys that don't want him for doubting him. They listen to the voices around them. So one thing on his leadership that got talking about this morning is you can't say that you like manning is an awesome leader with the personality. He's got Murray. I've got a very similar personality. You can go back and look at this tape from the day, you go back, and you look at his interviews from the pro day these answering the question that the people who respect him who have looked at what they're talking about. When he goes on. These interviews Patrick. No, they don't know who they know. He they're not looking at his tape. They're trying to make a story. You know? So Charley Casserly, what's likely? He said that was accurate. Come up with some crazy stuff even this week. Yeah. I know I'm saying I'm saying look at look the leadership. This a kid who came out of the highest rated high school and be hydrated high schools in America never lost a game in high school. Never lost the game. Takahide Baker Mayfield years. Never lost the game in college until he got a Texas, and he took it around for that interrogation. He didn't throw anybody under the bus. He takes responsibility. He's a great leader. If you talked to anybody that's ever played does his teammates love, and we all know that. There's teammates love them, and certainly Lincoln Riley, loved them and everything else like that. I'm just telling you, this is what goes on this time of year. They they. Very much. So, but I mean, I think the guys that are saying his leadership style. I mean, come on. You can't say that. You know what I mean? I know he's not. But let me ask you this. Right. Did come to the manning family. And you know, his dad played his brother played he's been around it. So it was easy to to see that. He was going to be a success. But let me ask you this question knowing Cuyler and watching him play does the bigness of New York City mean anything or would he be better in Arizona? I don't think it matters to him. When he stepped on the field keynote. He's the best player on the field. And that's all that should matter. And that's all the Doug matter because he knows that you put the ball in his hand, and you talked about the Alabama game. Yup. You wanna see something impressive? Go back and watch that first Texas game where they got rolled in the first half and kind of America's back scores on his own twenty one point seven minutes in the second half. Yeah. He's he's never Greg. And I, and I know everything you're saying, I'm just telling you that the reason that Charley Casserly and everybody else. Talks like that. That's how scouts talk amongst one. Another. And now he is kind of outside the wall, and he has an opportunity to say, whatever he wants to say publicly, and then we all kill it. Especially if you like the guy if you're really like Collor Murray, you're gonna find what Charlie said to be extremely offensive. And but I'm just telling you, this is the world of football. This is what goes on. Well, one good thing is that Charlie Casserly screaming like a crazy person on TV isn't going to affect the team that's wants to draft column or that's not going to mean anything, especially if the giants went out there, and they they want to go meet him. They go watch his his workout and all those maybe they are trying to get into position to go on number one and get them. Maybe maybe they weren't who knows. That would be. You know, we were talking about shows the drink on the air if they trade up to the number one overall pick and technique Bosa. I'll be a different type of drinking. But if they do that, and they take the champion all around that next day. We're gonna have a party the giants get draft a quarterback giants Haskins poll. I don't think so we gotta ask them now Murray they gotta ask a Murray. And we got to ask them if they're gonna sign Russell Wilson. Every day for the next forty one days. Just ask Paul detino. Put it all together at one file of a player for an hour. Do you want to do that starting next week left? Paul Dottino on for one question a day for forty one days. Yeah. We don't want him to say good morning. Hello, just just one question. We could start today. If you want about Murray, I think we should start today. Start today. See fees amenable to this had a great caller that called in this morning. We're saying, hey, the giants are maneuvering to get up to number one to get Colin Murray. And we'll ask Paul in the same way if they're going to draft column or trade to get Columbine. And we'll see what he says. And then we'll say goodbye to Paul and every day in till the draft will do the same thing. Exact different question about the giants. Tino segment. Not even a segment, it'll be the Tino ten seconds, the Paul how what would we call it? Call it. Something the Tino drop in Tinos Paul's. Now, you usually get at this dot spot is what he came up with. I liked that about that spot. I like that. I can't think of anything better right now. If you want to tweet us, paulie dot on the spot. Paulie dot on the spot dot spot is quick just like he's got to be quick. You think he's going to have an issue with this though?.

"All right Pena. Let's kick things off fleet. After your quarterback this week. Why choose them how much are you paying first of all guys is this our last year fest podcast, right? We don't do it for the Super Bowl. Do we do? We. I'm going to say, we know we will because. Well for this loss. My question. Yeah. Because they do the draft kings kudos them. They do that fun single-game the single came where you pick a captain who's who you get one and a half times points, and you have to pick one guy from each the team. We definitely did it last year. I don't know if we did it. We just put out a Super Bowl mega podcast, and then put it in there. But we definitely talked about some point. All right. Well, look this quarterback is to me is pretty easy here. It's drew Brees. It's drew Brees in the dome. It's your res at home for you know, the the last month of season struggles that everyone's to make a big deal about people forget three hundred four of those were at home. And it's kind of almost seems like right? He didn't even play. And I wanna say you didn't play. He had. I think one for four the first quarter of that eagles game ends up with over three hundred yards in two touchdowns. This is the safest play on the board the pre he should be. I mean for for what there's definitely a narrative that Mahomes is completely know out-schemed outcoached, and you know, lays an agin his first AFC championship game. Right. So why is breeze seven hundred dollars less Mahomes to me, this is probably the. Easiest place specially in cash out there. They already played in. They put up a ton of points being saints in the Rams. So this to me is the breeze should be the most expensive the fact that he's not is kind of crazy to me so breeze. Fifty nine hundred all day long in at home at the dome in the NFC championship game. Success? Good value for well. It's the dome versus being intended weather, right? This isn't that what this story's about? Don't we want cheaper? No, no. I agree. I I'm completely on on drew Brees as well. I just think in terms of voiding just. I went into this line of thinking I was going to be much more skewed towards the dome game than I ended up being. But drew Brees is the abbey's choice at quarterback unless you wanna take a stab at Gotha. I just you know road Jared Goff. I don't know if that's something. I'm looking to get behind here. So let's go drew breeze. Fifty nine hundred speaking road Jared Goff. Give me a Kimmy a little piece of road Jared Goff, fifty four hundred very contrary has the ceiling of anyone on that board. Yeah. I you'll see as my kind of lineup unfolds. I went into this going, you know, what I'm going to get the cheapest quarterback. I had. Yeah. I knew it was going to be golf. I I kind of you know, we'll say the picks for for the next podcast. But I like the attitude the Rams are bringing in. I kinda think they're delighted might be a decent against this New Orleans front. But yeah, gimme Jared Goff. If fifty four hundred I think he has a decent game. Pena who's your who's your first running back? Yeah. And just add onto that. So Evan till Evans Silva. Pretty good tweet about this. Again, if you're not you're probably not gonna care by in sub thirty degree games. Quarterbacks. Tend to lose three point one percent off their completion rates in point one nine yards off their yards per attempt. Running backs average point two six yards more precarious. So all the saying is, obviously the common sense here holds true that you know, when you go outside in the Colt. It has a little bit of an issue. I'm with you, Sean..

"But man that initial was kind of like a cut like the first time I drink two cores yellow-bellies in a row. About ten minutes of we're Emma what's going on. And where am I what's going on? Where are you going to get in with Chris level coming up here discontinue some Jay west, Texas, knowledge that grapefruit vodka stay away? Just stay away. It's not for you. And then we're going to get him with Mahomes and Baker Mayfield with our friend Evans Silva. It's going to be great show you stick right where you are in take ninety second break here on your other side, get back in with Chris level is speaking of level. Let me say this and went to a career fair today at tech with mass calms for a bit and. Some super kids. Great candidates looking forward to interview in those guys if they're listening to lots of them said that they do listen to show, you listening real pleasure to be with you guys in will be a pleasure to be Chris level coming up stay right here on the other side of Texas for your update on the game to come our friend, Chris level, red raiders sports. Hope you go. Check out red raiders sports. I do you should as Well Chris level. How are you? Fran. Leeson? How are you, sir? I'll go with the coach thing, I got basketball tickets in the mail and Chris level. It was a felt like I felt like the jerk when he got the phone book in the mail really really jazzed about that. I should be excited. You know, obviously exhibition game tonight at six thirty. I'm soon as the cookie very show was over. I will try to head over there quickly and join that thing and progress and see what see what it looks like. But yeah, this thing gets going next week for real forthright games next Tuesday and Friday, their their home games next Tuesday Friday, and so against concurrent word and Mississippi valley state, but yeah, they they start counting for real. So coach veered will be he'll have those guys ready and a lot of new faces over there. Now, the phone book is here the phone book is here. That's what it's going to be. So. Speaking of getting a connection last week. Not a good connection against our state one. What this team learned from do you think last week? What what did you learn about this team last week? Yeah. What was frustrating is that? And I think is that you know, you had a chance to win that one and you play really good defense. And and again, you know, not I think there was a couple of plays that maybe you needed to make and some interesting calls didn't go your way defensively, but you play you played good enough deepest to win that game. I think he played certainly good enough special teams to win that game. You score on special teams, if Dominic pain Zillow continues to do his thing for putting standpoint and in the the opposition down and give them a long field and then Clayton office made his one field goal attempts. But I'll fruitfully you knew it was going to be a grind, this is this is an Iowa State defense that I think some people want to give them credit other people kinda see the brand and go they can't be really that good. But they've had success against Oklahoma state against Oklahoma West Virginia in. Out sex attack. And that's that's pretty close to his good as it gets authencity in this league right now, and they're continuing to have similar results. So just a grind. And I think the office of line did not play. Well, I think you know, and an turn on Bowman did not play. Well, and he looked like a true freshman at times, and he was sped up and dealing with a lot of pressure in his face. And on the run and good things are not going to happen when you can't run it as well as you want to and you're being pressured, and we saw the result of that. But we have thirty one thirty one with about what six minutes left to go the game you're taking chance to get out of here with the win..

Country of Wembley will be there to have a beer with me after the game at degree man pub. So shot con reportedly a divisive thing among the soccer folks that he was buying Wembley. I'll just say, I'm not convinced that this thing's done yet. He's withdrawn his bid will see. He's a pretty nifty businessman. We'll see what ends up happening. There might be one of those deals like I'm withdrawing. I am renouncing the kingdom of Ramon. I'm announcing my throne and then like, okay, she says she'll marry him or whatever, and he's still has the throne, right? So I think. Do you know what movie that's from? Can you come back? We'll check it out. All right. Some linebacker news as well, and there's a damning vont has birthed video going around Bill Belichick didn't like it too much. Yeah, I I messed up here and what I wrote down Bill Belichick didn't take too kindly to be Khalil Mack Lawrence Taylor comparisons. Bell check is always very complimentary, but he's like, we're talking about Lawrence Taylor starts with Lawrence Taylor and everybody else's below him and watchings, Evan from the Fancy Feast. Evans Silva at Evans Silva posted in LT highlight video. It's crazy, man. I mean, it is crazy, and I mean crazy. Awesome. Wow. Just the speed off the edge, the ferocity with which he played really, really impressive as perfect. He's kind of becoming the face of what's wrong with some of the guys in pro football. I expect him to get a pretty pretty hefty fine. Speaking of hefty by the way. Pretty hefty eater. I like to eat. I'm actually going to Buddy's house tonight after Disney on ice to watch the game, the Broncos and the cardinals not all that interested in that game other than the fact that I think Vance Joseph might get fired as soon as tomorrow. "Who worked in the league for a little bit call me later in the day because I tweeted something about like this route distribution, the chiefs us, and I was asking him about a couple of these specific place and I'm like, what are they doing on that play with? It looks like they're playing cover to on this side, but what are those guys doing? Like? What could the safety possibly be doing? And he's like, yeah, I have no idea. They just Boston coverage like you're not misunderstanding what's going on here. Oh, good. Good. So for my own just satisfaction, that was a nice moment, but that Steelers weren't absolute mess on defense. Combine that with the fact that their best player didn't show up to work on Monday and heavy on bell is still not there. It seems like this is going in a pretty worry. So it's clear to me at this point that if you were to place a bet you'd place the bet on Levy on not showing up until he absolutely has to, which is in seven weeks, we ten, right? Yeah. Yeah. So that's not good. Now we're in a debate over whether. Brown or route this burger is more valuable to the offense which I didn't see happening. But here we are. What do you think the answer to that is? I don't think there is a clear answer because I see with a quarterback would be obvious be clear-cut sure. And so there's a couple of things number one in twenty fifteen. When he caught what eighteen hundred yards from three from quarterbacks, Rothlisberger, Vic, and Jones. We sort of saw that Brown struggled a little bit when Ross Perot wasn't it. Having said that this is an Evans Silva tweet from two years ago. There was a sixteen game span before that twenty fifteen going into twenty fourteen where over the sixteen game. So a regular season sample size Brown had one hundred fifty. Two catches and two thousand thirty nine receiving yards when he was playing with Ben Rothlisberger. So I don't think it matters if it's a chicken and egg thing. I don't think I remember getting into this. Last Joyner, radio, seven, patriots story I go. I'd go on the radio in Boston aides. Say, what was the key was moss? Was it? Well, girls at Brady, I don't know how much that any of that matters. What matters is when these guys get together and play, it's really special. If you had to pick if you're the Steelers, if you were Kevin Colbert right now, and you have to pick a one of those guys for the next three years, who is so because Ben Rothlisberger is old, I would pick Antonio Brown, so would I? But if Ben Rothlisberger were Ben Rothlisberger age thirty one with two different scenario, that's not where we are, though. I understand that, but they also, but, but also in this hypothetical is not gonna come to pass. They're not had the shoes, but to Kobe shack, this is this is an exercise based on some of the stuff that's happened. Thirty six years old. He's not. You know, he's not on the TB twelve method as far as as far as fitness, he's not is no avocado ice claim going here. I remember when like before the season. It was just like Ben Rothlisberger is in better shape. I was like, what does that mean? Yeah, it's always a strange thing. I mean, the flacco flacco narrative is like that too. It's like, Joe, would you say you worked hard once? Lamar Jackson was drafted, and he's kind of like a can't really say that because that implies I just mailed in the past three years. "Why why math on if they beat the buzzer? Box of captain crunch in one sitting all I could do that. I wouldn't wanna do that you can do that. And not even know, I I you know, what you wouldn't want to see what happens after that. Beat the patriots. Then. Okay. No doubt. Yeah. No, I'm not. I'm just telling you. I feel very good about them winning comfortably in the desert last week. I've got some people wanna talk about match. I want to read you this tweet, then we'll play some Rizzo, then get to calls Evans Silva's a football guy who writes for rota world. He's an editor to their senior editor everyone's got an opinion here watching Mitch these last two games your body, Colin coward, said something on FOX. He compared it to you know, what was it the he's like a student driver. He said it's like driving country road country road. And you can't understand why everything's moving. So slowly. But soon you get off to the side. He drive up five minutes later, and you see there's a car that has driver's Ed sticker on the back, and you look inside in mitch's at the wheel and Matt Nagy in the in the passenger seat trying to bring him along. He said he said the bears of the Rams. Without an offense is basically what he said he has a lot of people are coming out with their hot takes in. Who is the Seahawks player was a Clark who said that didn't really impressive is just an average average guy average quarterback. Frank Clark, Frank yards Bank Clark. So this is Evans Silva for what for what it's worth followed under the for what it's worth not consider on bears quarterback. Mitchell Trubisky struggles so many quarterbacks over the years. Head one big college season were built his future. First rounders then exposed in second year starters. And then ended up getting drafted on day three where they belong Trubisky. When pro after one year as starter. Do you understand what he's saying? He's saying that the one year was a Mirage in college. He saying that since he never went back after that one year. You shouldn't maybe overdrafted, and if he would have gone back for another year of college, maybe he would have been like I'm that park. Didn't wasn't Matt Barkley the one year considered to be a first round draft pick. He goes back to college. And he ends up being like a fourth round, right? Yeah. Barkley was. You know, there was a lot of talk that Hetty come out Mel kiper him at the top of his big board that one year, and then he went back and he had the shoulder injury. And then that knocked him all the way down last year. Remember, I mean Sam darnold had a brilliant first year at USC, and then his second year, it was filled with all kinds of gifts to the other team fumbles interceptions. And he's still was what top five picks three or two. Yeah. So three, right. Because was he three or four fourth or fifth? Yeah. Whatever. From wrote a world is telling you, he's insinuating. The navy? He was overdrafted be based on one year. We just haven't seen. We could have seen some of the. Some of the flaws if you went back for another year college, remember North Carolina was really bad the the year he left then too wasn't. He did they lose a lot of skill guys. I look well. There was a lot of talk. When he when he did come out. There were some people that ask the question if you so damn good. Why didn't you start earlier? Our I think, you know, I don't think that's necessarily. That's a fair question to ask. But I don't think necessarily telling as maybe it sounds on the surface. We don't know the ins and outs of what's going on inside the play. You know, the offense of meeting rooms in North Carolina, you know, whether or not system fits him. I mean, there are a lot of variables. So but that was a question as well. So if you went away in three one two three three two three seven seven six we still have time to take your phone calls. Got the cubs lineup here..

"Set would be knowing that he's in year four, right? My Kurt mindset would be I don't wanna do anything until I've seen five full years. I would. He's the type of player. I would rather take the fifth year and franchise him for a year to see who he actually is quarterback before. I would actually invest mega money in and right now, you know, we could talk about whether matters of your good person or not in the NFL or whatever. That means anything. We always talk about like, hey, if you're a bad player was a bad person with skill, you're going to get more wiggle room than a good player that like, you know, if you're a bad player without skill and you get yourself in trouble. But here's, here's where I'm going with this Marcus mariota is not a good person, not a great person. He is like a world class individual. You not find a person that could find a single bad thing to say about Marcus mariota that my my point is merely that. I think that the titans will do everything they can to give him as many chances as they can to prove himself to be not just the franchise quarterback for nab for the next ten years. And they may internally feel like he's already there. I think some people in the outside would say like, he's. Got some work to do, but he's such an important person in personality and he's so well respected that. I think that you're going to want to give him every chance to continue to grow. I was just curious if you thought that he was already there and I, I don't think he's already there, but to your point, Nashville is a city where we're character matters a lot in that community. And I think every ownership group has to make a decision of what matters to them with the fans that they have and Mario too is important to them. That's why, like I said, even though it's crazy to be talking about two years from now because he's in year four. If they have this year, they'll have the fifth year option on him if exercised that, and I can see them actually coming in and saying, hey, even if we have to franchise them, I can't see them giving him huge money long-term deal right now. But I could see them taking one year at a time to give him every moment that he possibly could. I think it will sort itself out before them though. I really do. I hope I think by the end of this year, we'll have a absent, this injury, you know, stretching out for multiple weeks. I think this will give us a pretty good feel of what Marcus mariota is player as we. It's been and Fitz on ESPN radio, Jason Fitz field Yates. Field Yates sitting in for Spain, Spain, no, you're sitting in for Spain, though. You're doing a fantastic job. Let's stay on this quarterback conversation though. For minute, especially when it comes to injury, I want your thoughts because we haven't had the opportunity to talk about it a particularly on on Nick foles and what the eagles should be doing as our risen NFL insider his rights, how would how would you be handling the Nick foles situation? Well, the good news for Philadelphia's it's going to handle itself in this way. Carson Wentz medical time line will dictate how long Nick foles starts for the Philadelphia Eagles and I get it. He looked bad in week one. But this guy is the reigning Super Bowl MVP and someone articulate this well on Twitter. I think it was my friend Evans Silva's a great job covering football Ferodo world. Basically, Nick foles has wide variance in what he is as a player, right? There's not a lot of middle ground for him. He's either really good like tremendous Super Bowl, MVP good or a guy that has been traded and cut on multiple occasions during his NFL career has never been a fulltime sustainable starter in week one. He played like the ladder guy..

"Back becomes available, but for a Randall Cobb or Kenny stills sh ten to fifteen percent? Yeah, this is most I'd be willing to this is where philosophically you have to ask yourself, how do you spend your budget? And I just don't spend a large portion of my budget on wide receivers. I look, you'd rather get the best value on a shot. Somebody's guys, there's value. I'd rather spend a dollar or two and grab Quincy noon. Law charged that I can play weaken, weak out, play match ups. You can pretty much always always grab a wide receiver off of waivers and start him even in our fourteen team listener league. I grabbed Ted Ginn this last week at through him in my lineup, he haw. And he was free. So I'm not going to spend up even on a random macabre, Kenny stills. I'll put a bid on on them for sure, right. Hob. I'll go five dollars probably won't get them, but I would much rather have my money for the running back position where you cannot just pick someone up weekend. We got out off of waivers and save it up for that. That one, there's always one or five through the season where it's like you got to one or five. Yes. Is different every year. Getting underway juries I want to talk about some of these main pickups, these guys that are owned in fewer leagues, and let's start with Chris Godwin wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Evans Silva tweeted out. There are four games in Chris Godwin's career in which he is played forty plus snaps his production, those games, five for sixty eight, three for ninety. Eight.

"Fi, you shouldn't auto dressy. Check out that whole video on Marcus Twitter. Can't what you're Marcus. Gee, this makes me think actually the fantasy stronghold was holding Marcus down and he take them all out because it's his start together pretty pretty securely. It's like, what's the Kevin Spacey movie where he's revealed. Space. I'm the. Fantasy live group. Right. Let's move on to our next discussion topic. All right. The segments called wake up here. Some. Okay. Obviously under the radar fantasy guys guys that maybe not told we're not looking for like Torri Cohen from last year necessarily, but you can get real deep if you want, but just guys that maybe aren't getting a lot of buzz right now that are hot, Greg, why don't you get us going? I'm going to start with Chris Godwin and Mark east Goodwin because I just like to have come on. Angry. Bliss well told my Marcus marquees Goodwin. We're just combining you guys get discuss it together and you're both right different different parts of the draft Godwin of the bucks. So I just think it's so talented, he'll find a way to get numbers good end to your draft guy and Marcus Goodwin is one of those number one type of receivers they can get. It looks like in the middle rounds where he's a guy, not a lot of people think of and it wouldn't surprise me gets twelve hundred, thirteen hundred yard fire, west or case. Good one was number one on my list. He's going about wide receiver thirty in the late eighth or early ninth rounds. This guy was sixth in the NFL in receptions and yards over the final five weeks of the season. He was a top ten receiver with Jimmy Garoppolo under center. And in Shannon, we trust Shanahan's is guy, and I saw like tangible improvement from him. He was an injury, prone deep threat. Any might still be injury prone, but he started moving the chains. Garoppolo was looking for him on third downs. He was a possession receiver. In addition. Into the big play ability. He's becoming a well rounded receiver, throw someone else out, west Jeremy hill. You have to pay the Evans Silva tax to get Rex. Because everybody knows he's pretty good. People are reaching way too hyper Rex Burkhead in a backfield where it's inconsistent from week to week most years in New England, but I have a rule that the patriots steal a running back from the Bengals saddle them up and chance Corey Zillow Oreo birkhead rule, laugh religion, but if the patriots see something in your formal former Bengals running back, take a around the interesting see him scoring fifteen touchdowns that has worn now too with Sony Michelle, not being one hundred percent healthy too. So that means we saw a lot of Jeremy hill last week, preseason games. What do you got? I'm looking at c. j. Anderson and I know everybody's big on Christian McCaffrey, but CJ Anderson who had his career year last year steps in any Jonathan Stewart role. But as a younger healthier better version of Jonathan Stewart right now, it's so for all the work that McCaffrey's going to get, it's still going to be CJ Anderson between the tackles and short yardage is gonna be the important guide down near the goal line yards or great touches great touchdowns or gold and fantasy. And I think CJ Anderson's gonna get a chance to get a lot of. I think rich McCaffrey has something to prove whether he's a complete running back. I thought a lot of things. He did a lot of fun and he was a definitely piled up points as a fantasy Anthony. But maybe if he doesn't show that he could be a between the tackles guy CJ is going to have a nice role there. It's time now to take a trip over for the first time to in this, you know, everybody lock your doors haven't heard from a little bit haven't heard from a little bit. He's he's over on the fantasy corner. All right. Let's get down to brass tacks. On my players to avoid lists, do not be fooled by the off-season hype train circling the Los Angeles Rams. I have three times now review tape from l. a.'s.
