"In the entire conference. Well, to tie together the two segments, just like it seems like there aren't a lot of logical landing spots for Lamar Jackson. They're also are not a lot of logical landing spots for Aaron Rodgers. And that's why if he wants to play in 2023 right now, it looks like the jets are the leading and one of the rare opportunities out there. Now the question is, I know key says that's not the case, but the question is whether he wants to play whether he feels comfortable with the jets, the fact that he took the meeting is an encouraging sign because if he didn't have some interest in joining the jets organization, he wouldn't be spending last night and today talking to them. So that right there is encouraging, but Aaron Rodgers is a difficult guy to predict. And I think we've seen in recent years, nothing with him seems to move very quickly. So I would think the jets would like to get something in place, figure it out one way or another by the time the newly gear opens next week, but we shall see what Aaron Rodgers wants to do and how the Green Bay Packers handle it. And as a reminder, while no trade could be processed until one week from today, Wednesday, a little actually 4 p.m.. So almost exactly one week from right now, the legal negotiating window does open up on Monday at noon Eastern Time. So free agency essentially will begin at that hour. Let's move to Jacksonville is on Monday. It was announced that receiver Calvin Ridley had been officially reinstated to the NFL, almost exactly a year to the day that he was suspended for a full season for betting on games. As you saw, Ridley arrived at the Jaguars facility today for the first time. He also wrote a powerful letter for the players tribune giving an in depth look at his upbringing in the past couple of years in his life. And including this about his return of the field quote right now, I feel stronger than I've ever felt mentally and physically on the field and flying. Believe me, I'm flying that GPS ban don't lie. On my daughter's name, I'm healthy with Trevor Lawrence. I'm giving Jacksonville 1400 yards a season. Period. RC, what does adding a flyer like Calvin Ridley do for the Jaguars? Calvin Ridley is a true number one wider receiver. He's a route running specialist on the outside. He's the guy that can push and challenge number one corners of any team in the NFL. And when you look at what he was becoming in Atlanta before he had to step away for some healthful mental health reasons, he was a guy that was ascending and was a Pro Bowl caliber player. You think about him with Travis ATN, Christian Kirk, Evan Ingram and also zay Jones on that offense with Doug Peterson at the helm. This offense is going to be absolutely scary. And when you think about the progress that the Jacksonville Jaguars made in just the first year under Doug Peterson, you expect them to be even better and especially at the quarterback position when you add a superstar on the outside like Kelvin Ridley. You just heard RC right there, talk about what this offense would look like. In RC played in a secondary. There aren't secondaries in the National Football League that have four covered down guys. And what I mean by that is Kelvin Ridley, zay Jones, along with Christian Kurt at the receiver position. Then if you talk about Evan engram at the tight end spot, it then you look at the running back in Travers ETN, you can't, you don't have 5 guys that could cover down. So he gives him another weapon that brings 13, 14 of the yards to the equation and not just the yards. I'm talking about play making ability. In and out of this break, stop on a dime, give some change. All of the sort of things that receivers in this league aren't necessarily doing at the top level. So when you got a guy like this, it certainly puts them in a different uniform. I'm in a different situation for the Jacksonville Jaguars in terms of the offense in the AFC. And Phil, I want to point out one thing. For people who have not read that letter, that article that he wrote for the players tribune by Calvin Ridley, they should absolutely read it. It was outstanding. And it shows you everything that he had to overcome on and off the field, off the field to get to where he was the NFL incredible story. What he had to overcome that pushed him away from the Atlanta Falcons facility, it's hard to imagine that if the NFL knew that full story that it would go ahead and suspend him for that bet that he made, the parlay bet on the Atlanta Falcons while he was away for the team, but the league went ahead and suspended him for a year. Obviously has very strict rules while there are casino and sportsbooks opening up in football stadiums across the country. He also played with the broken foot. He also played with a broken foot, played with a number of injuries, and the one thing he did say there also is he feels healthy and he feels like he's flying and he's going to be a major asset next year in Jacksonville's offense. I think back to one head coach in the year that he was suspended, telling me that he thought Calvin Ridley was the single best wide receiver in the NFL. Now, this was prior to the emergence of some of these other guys, but it tells you how much some people thought of Calvin Ridley's abilities and they are now in Jacksonville with an explosive offense. We said it. Adam Adam Mitch Adam mentioned it. Feel it. At the end of the day, the NFL totally got that one wrong. On that betting. They got it wrong. Yep. They'll never admit it, but they got it wrong. Is it evolving climate as it pertains to sports betting in the NFL? That much is

"All right. Don't edit this. I want people to know them more. Anyway, 7. So in 1617, 18 and 20 one, they all lost at home. And the 8 and a half is high. It just is. It jumps out. It feels like this should be 6, I just feel like I'm getting two and a half points. Let me counter with a couple of things. Please do. Mahomes never lost in a divisional round. All those years he always comes out, he's ready. They usually have to buy. That's a good one. Don't bet against mahomes in round two. He's ready to go. That guy's dialed in. Jaguars. This year, awesome story. We love it. Huge comeback against the ravens to save their season. Home game. Huge comeback against the cowboys to keep their season alive. Home game. Week 18 against the Titans, they pull out this amazing victory and they clinch a playoff birth home game. Last week, 27 nothing, home game. They haven't done crap on the road this season. So they're a young team and the stat that everyone's thrown around is that Trevor Lawrence hasn't lost on a Saturday. The game's on Saturdays, it goes back to high school college. That's all good to know what that means. I don't either. I don't think it's like, okay, that's great. Kansas City, this is getting deeply philosophical here in Kansas City. We go back through the generations here, Bill. It's like 60s was packers, 70s, I'd say it was steelers, 80s. 80s was niners, 90s was cowboys. Then you had the Patriots for the last 20 years. And it's like, the chiefs, what are you? What are you? Are you the team of like this generation? 'cause one Super Bowl is not it. Yeah. And if you can win this one, you've been now home field through the AFC four years in a row in mahomes is just like this guy that just doesn't lose in these games and it has to, I don't know. To me, it's like look in the mirror, what are we? Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes like two rings. All right, now we're talking. This is the team of the generation. Now we're talking all of us go to the Hall of Fame, all that stuff. One Super Bowl ring and a lost to Jacksonville after losing at home to the Bengals last year. That's amateur hour. We're not talking about losing a Jacksonville. Because I think they're gonna be Jacksonville. And if they don't be Jacksonville, that's a disaster. But I also think rule number 6 never pick an underdog unless you genuinely believe they have a chance to win. But the Jacksonville team kind of slightly just the whiff won me over the last couple of weeks because I think they have a lot of good players. I thought Kirk, the last couple games was excellent. I thought zay Jones who I've noticed the last couple months, but it seems like he's turned into a pretty valuable third guy. Evan engram. Evan Ingram, who I think submerged in a kind of the guy, the Giants fans got really dude, you're gonna do this now. But ETN lattice speed on the outside, which I think they've tapped into. I like agnew, and I think special teams, I think they can make a special teams play, no Cole Hardman in this game, by the way. And then on defense, their defense is pretty good in the second half of that chargers game. I went back and I looked at all right, man, the Chargers, they were 27 nothing. Well, look at their drives. Two for 18, 12 for 57, three for 5, three for 16, 11 for 62, three for 8, four for one, three for minus one, 7 for 37, 7 40 5, 14, 58, three for 5. Jackson was defense was good in that game. They gave up 5 turnovers and still won. And then Lawrence, his last 5 drives, they get four touchdowns in the game winning field goal. He's 23 to 29 for two 53 and four TDs. They had long drives each time unless they scored fast. Worst case scenario, I think they could get it back to our cover. It's a lot. Any playoff game 8s a lot and it doesn't feel like that feels like it would be like the case if it was a wild card game and it was a two 7 7, but they won last week. And they have some confidence now. The other thing the chiefs are 7 and ten against the spread. They're four and 5 this year when they're favored by 7 or more. And in the week ten game, Casey wins 27, 17, chiefs were great. I mean, they were 27 first down so much. They were almost 500 yards. Jags missed two field goals. Jacks had a back door TD, they ended up losing by ten. It wasn't a blowout. I had that game on. Oh, this will get interesting in the field goal. And I don't trust the Jacksonville field goal kicker at all. Josh Allen is another one. He's coming on, whereas the first half of the year, it's like what happened to Josh Allen. Contract year? Yeah. That's what he's having a nice little contract push. I don't know, could they hang around? Could they sack mahomes a couple times? Could Casey do the thing where they dick around? Could that be that India? Oh my God, we're going to lose another indie read stupid game that nobody saw coming.

"Inexplicable. This is the chargers chargers radio. This is the Jags call on the Jags radio network. Patterson's kick is up. The field goal is good. Good. The Jaguars have won it. The Jaguars have wanted be have come back from 20 7 nothing to win the game. That's courtesy of Jaguars radio network, obviously. Here is Brandon staley, the Chargers head coach on losing a 27 point lead. I mean anytime you're up 27 to 7 and a half time and you've got four takeaways and you end up winning the takeaway margin for nothing. It's going to be it's going to be a killer. I'm hurting for everybody in that locker room. It's a special group of guys. And this is the toughest way that you can lose. In the playoffs. Here is Trevor Lawrence on the comeback. Going to write a better script than to win a game like that tonight. So it makes it more special, but don't want to do that again. So we've got to take care of the ball. That's where it starts. I think the sides of that, it was a pretty all phases played pretty well besides just the turnovers on offense. If I told you a year ago at this time, the Jags are going to be in the playoffs, they're going to win a playoff game. They're going to go to Kansas City divisional round. If I would have just told you, hey, they're going to be in the playoffs. You'd be like, no. Given everything that they went through. And Trevor Lawrence looked, you know, there were a couple of chip passes, but he seemed to be going into the direction of the sante Samuel a little too much there. First half, and but give credit they did what they needed to do. They were patient, didn't lose what their game plan was. Although I kept wondering, what the Chargers did early is they took away those short passes that if you go back when the Jags blew out the Chargers, what week three, they had a lot of these short passes. Chargers took those away and Trevor Lawrence paid the price. Doug Peterson did a great job in regrouping at halftime. Once again, the philosophy was come out, score, stop, score, now you have a football game. Yeah, pulling. They showed a graphic at the end of the Jaguars game. They added in the off season. Remember when they're going for those free agents and they got a lot of nice players, but not a household name player. Evan engram, Christian Kirk zay Jones, those are the three receivers they added. All three had their career years and then Travis Etienne, instead of being on the IR and set an entire season, had a breakout year. And everything worked. Trevor Lawrence joins Ben Roethlisberger as the only players with poor passing touchdowns in four interceptions in a playoff game. Style of the day style of the day is kind of the day this is the start of the day. That's a fun stat of the day if you win. It's not one of those where you go, yeah, I had four touchdown passes and four interceptions. Now let's go to waffle House. We won. Yeah, I'm pulling. Does Brandon staley deserve as much criticism as he's getting? Okay, if you say this is just one off. Like a bad game. Right? The Mike Williams story, not good. The let's go for it on fourth downs. All this talent and no playoff wins. I guess I got to start there. There's plenty of blame to go around, but this is what happens. They can't fire the team they fired the coach. It wasn't his play call that got Joey Bosa stupid penalty. No. He didn't miss the field goal at 8 minutes or whatever. I don't know, it just feels like he because he's unconventional. He gets a little bit more, it's easier to point the finger at him. Well, what else do you go on? I mean, these are these, this is historical. Remember when Matt Ryan blew a 28 three lead against the Patriots. And who blew that game against the game this weekend? It's not Justin Herbert. It's Brandon staley. You know what I mean? Like sometimes we focus in on the quarterback the quarterback, Matt Ryan didn't blow that lead. Yeah. Right. Right, no. Right. He doesn't get the blame for that though. Not as, yeah, probably not as much as he should. But somehow Justin Herbert is just coming away like, hey, if I had a better coach, I'd be doing a lot better. But Justin Herbert's not replaceable. So it's almost like the media says, well, we'll go to the guy where the story is. Brandon staley went into the weekend with not a lot of wiggle room after the announcement of the Mike Williams injury that he didn't have to cause. And Sean Payton, if Sean Payton weren't looming, this would be much less of a story. Gus in LA leads his song. Best and worst of the weekend Gus, what do you have for me? Good morning, mister Patrick. I hope you and the boys had a great weekend. Where's the weekend, man? I was ready to come in here and be like, yo, Trevor Lawrence bust four picks in the first ten minutes. And then the worst of the weekend was the charges. I don't think there's a worser of the weekend than the charges collapsed. Matt Ryan and that coaching staff is like, that's a bad collapse right there. Best of the weekend. Now, I went to the Laker game last night and before Russell Westbrook grew in my night, I had actually been rocking a DP shirt last week. I went and bought myself a Los Angeles traffic T-shirt and believe it or not, I got a ton of compliments on it. I got stopped at least four times, yo, I like that chairman, where'd you get it? DP dot com. There you go, enjoy. There you go, boys, where's the weekend? The always dependable chargers ruining it and that's the weekend. Get some compliments on some DP merch. You have a great week. Thank you, Gus. Whenever I wear the Lakers shirt related shirt or the Dodger related shirt, always have people go because we put traffic. So the logo just says traffic. And people look at it and go, wait, what shirt is that? That's just a shirt that we came up with. And then the Lakers have the same thing with their script on it. It looks great. Merchandise available at Dan Patrick dot com. Yes, yes. I wore the jets Zach Wilson moms shirt at a neighborhood event that I just was running down the street like one of those like a food truck things in the neighbors do. And I was like, grab the first shirt in the pile. And a couple of ladies were sitting there talking and one of the guys goes, dude, that's funny. One of the dads got it. He was in a skechers and then a couple of wives go, what's the joke? What's that? And I had to explain to them the shirt. Quite awkward in the neighborhood setting. Alan Atlanta joins us on the program. Hi Al. Good morning, Dan. Good morning. One quick thing before my best and worst. Come to Atlanta seat and you'll hear a lot of Shanahan catching the blame for 28 to three. But Satan's right, it's Matt Ryan's legacy. This is not going to be on Justin Herbert. It's going to be on Brandon staley with that collapse. What else do you have about? It didn't help that that legacy also followed him to Indianapolis on the same thing happened to him there. Well, that's true. That's the weekend. With Jaguars, not letting the Chargers pass the baton to the falcons as the NFL team synonymous with not knowing how to win. It also made me rethink my answer to your question that you posed me a couple of years ago of whether or not we want Trevor Lawrence here in Atlanta. I take it back. We so want him. I'll redo that whole thing. Where should the weekend, the early morning car accident that took the lives of a UGA player and staff member and hurt two other members of the team just a straight, painful gut punch after a week of celebrations prior to go out to my family? I think thank you, Al. The Jags, they played in London. That

"That should have been a category. I'm staying away from that team team. I think the car, I feel the same way about the cardinals. I don't want to bet on them. I don't want anyone on their fan. I just want to pretend they're not happening. Put them over in a corner. Craig, who do you have? Clyde Edwards. I hate myself for it, but I'm bad. You're bad. You're back on CH. You're three. I've done it every year. I'm not giving up yet. The second I read that the cheese are gonna opt for like a more power run offensive scheme. I was like the Michael Corleone godfather three move. It's like, damn you've changed. I'm back. You know, we should have done with Clyde Edwards to layer. We couldn't even make an acronym out of his name. That should have been our first sign that it might not have worked out for him. He doesn't really roll off the tongue. All right, next category is I wouldn't take him even if he was free guy. I'm just going to do it. It's a podcast. Let's make some noise. McCaffrey's not on my team. I'm Jesus not. He's played ten games up two years. I don't think he could stay in the field and he's not on my team. I have crossed him off my list. He's not in my draft board. I've told my scouts and everyone in my war room, we're not drafting him. He is a D and D do not draft. This is how the patriots number one draft too. Look at all the best players like AJ Brown, not on our board. I love high Fitz lab shots at the Patriots, like he's rooting for this amazing juggernaut of a drafting tape. You painted like the last 7 giant straps? Well, I hated the saquon fic and that you were out here just like trying to defend it for I'm still in. I'm still defending it. You caught me at a bad day with pat straps because we waved Devin assassin a couple days after waving. Our two third round tight ends that were so bad. We then had to overpay hunter Henry and Johnny Smith to make up for these two other third rounders. Anyway, it's kind of like the pitcher spot all these clothes after they got dumped and then like a couple months later you're like, man, these don't work for me. It's really bad. The last 6 years were tough from a job standpoint. Who do you have for wouldn't take them if you were free? So I probably would take it for free, but for me, it's Josh Jacobs, like for the Raiders. I just can't, there's no point in the draft he falls where I'm just like, when he had 250 carers a year, Josh Jacobs made nobody happy. And then now he's going into a Josh McDaniels timeshare where there's just no way he's going to make anyone happy. I would take him if he was literally free. The person I literally wouldn't take if they were unwavering is Kenny gallaudet. I wouldn't take him on my fantasy. Yeah, that's not fair. He doesn't count. He's going to get away with two damage. He's already pretty much free at this point. I got Darren Waller. Dan walking. I'm not walking away. He hasn't played all pre season he's been hurt. There's contract situations, devonta Adams is there. I don't love the Vegas offense in general this year and I don't need Darren Waller in the second or so. He's like fake hurt. I think he's waiting for his money to get his holding in. Yeah, that team definitely needs to spend more money on offense and ignore the lines in the defense. That was the wave leatherwood today. I couldn't believe it. I mean, if you just stack up all the John Gruden draft picks and you're like, every first rounder was a miss. It makes me feel better about the drafts. Who do you have DK? Well, I had gallaudet. He's trending towards being free anyway. That doesn't count. The other person I wrote down here is Michael Hardman. I'm just not falling for it again. The opposite of the Corleone. They're not sucking me back in with this equal Hardman thing. I refuse. That could have been a category, Craig. Michael Corleone? No, the you showed up at my door again. Batting your eyelashes at me and I'm not letting you in this time. That's my Cole Hardman. Somehow, we've all had him. He's been in the league three years. I feel like he's been on everybody's team. I've never been seduced. Oh my God. None of us took Zeke Elliott, which I think is an absolute outrage. I had him written down too. All right, high fits. Who's your somebody's got to get points on that team? Talk yourself into him guy. Craig mentioned him earlier. I mean, Michael Pittman for the cults, I mean, Michael Pittman literally has more receiving yards in his career than all the other culture receivers on the roster. Also, Michael Pittman played in the NFL for two seasons. And yet somehow that's true. They have nobody else. Who do you have, Craig? Christian Kirk on the Jags. Oh no. Who else is catching passes on this team? There's Evan engram. At tight end. The other receivers are Marvin Jones and zay Jones. He's the new Brandon cooks. I'm going to pay it right now. He will be the new Brandon cooks. You'll get a thousand yards every year with Trevor Lawrence and nobody will care about him. DK? I'm going to go with Wanda Robinson, rookie receiver for the Giants. Okay. Here's the deal. I'm nervous to get excited about a guy who's like 5 890 pounds. Or whatever. Like I got too excited about Ronda bor last year. You should learn from this. I should learn from my mistakes. I'm just not going to do it because the Giants don't have anyone else right now. They got Kenny gallaudet, who we've talked about. They have canaris Tony, who is, he plays once a week. The most chaotic player in the NFL maybe. We just don't know if he's going to play any given week. Starting shepherd coming off an Achilles, Colin Johnson, who was probably going to take over for Kenny holiday, tore his Achilles. The Rookie tight end, Bellinger, who Craig, San Diego state alone, Bellinger, he just got a concussion I don't think he's going to be playing week one. Who's going to be catching passes for the scene? They drafted him in the second round. Ostensibly with the plan. So I'm going with Wanda Robinson. I really like that one. I debated one day for my shameless Homer pick. Yeah. That's a great one. I can't believe I'm picking forth in this category that none of you took my guy.

You don't ever say it, but you think they'll find a way to screw it up. What the Yankees and the Red Sox did against each other. To each other. For each other, is the most remarkable period of baseball in my life. Oh, what a play by Gina. The ESPN films presents the captain, episode three and four, Thursday at 9 p.m. eastern on ESPN and ESPN+ presented by Capital One. Aw, fresh start for Trevor Lawrence. The number one overall pick wowed us at times as a rookie. Also made some puzzling mistakes amidst a tumultuous year one under urban Meyer. He's heading into training camp with a new regime and Lawrence and his new head coach Doug Peterson both addressed the media this morning. Take a listen. As a team, I think we have a lot to prove, just didn't have a great year last year. And I know the guys in this locker room are ready to prove some stuff this year. So having that motivation and then just having this new opportunity, you get a clean slate, everybody starts at the bottom and having a chance to work your way up. He's in the same frame of mind as well. He wants to take that next that next step and not only in his growth, but obviously leading this football team. So today's day one of that and we're just we're just excited to be on the grass with him and the rest of the team. So while some of Lawrence's rookie season was one to forget, he did improve under the Jaguars when they fired urban Meyer mid December. During his last four starts of the season, Lawrence increased his completion percentage QBR and through for over 16 more yards per game. In the final game of the season, of course, that was the upset win over the colts that eliminated Indy from playoff contention. Lawrence completed 72% of his passes with two touchdowns and no interceptions. That sort of gets lost in the story of that game, everyone just talks about Indy, but Lawrence played well. So Tim, what does Lawrence's tape show you though from last season? Well, it indicates what that graphic just showed. He did improve as the season went along. And what you see is the goods really good, the bad is really bad. And then, you know, there are things that the guys around them can do better to help them. And so it's what I mean about the good being good. It's a double post look coming off a play action. Two on one in the free safety. And this is a huge throw. With a safety deep, the drive this ball from the far half from outside the 45 yard line, not many guys can do it like that. But here's the bad the same game. It's a high low corner flat combination. Corner sinks. Ten out of ten times, this ball grows to the back. There's good opportunity for one after the catch instead. It's a turnover and a critical point of the game. But it gets Tennessee later in the season. It's a slow screen that's got a built in shallow cross. He's reading the Mike linebacker, right, read, but this is what I mean about play around him. Falls not caught through the hands of receiver. Rashad Evans ends up picking it off. And that's what I mean about cleaning up the operation around him. And so ultimately, you know, Doug Peterson, I believe, will come in and be able to say, hey, look, there's a lot of good things. Let's keep that. Let's throw away some of these bad experiences because you know better. Learn from those. And then let's work together to get the play around you to improve, which I quite frankly think Doug Peterson will be able to do. Yeah, I agree. I think it kind of comes down to a few things, getting Trevor to stop pressing. You highlighted the play where he passed up on the easy route and the flat, and then just giving him answers and mismatches. Answers so that, you know, he's confident that he doesn't have to get first down in every plane. He can throw to that player in the flat and through using whether it's RPOs or motion, making sure he has information and can make easier decisions. And then mismatches, these skill players, I would say, are not the best group in the NFL. But there's enough talent there to where Peterson can isolate some of those players and get them nice mismatches on linebackers. We know he's going to come and use more 12 personnel. Of course, that was his hallmark in Philadelphia. And while Evan engram and gosh, Dan Arnold, who they traded for miss season midseason probably last year and got hurt, are not Dallas Goddard and Zach hurts. They do have mismatch ability, especially due to their athleticism, Travis Etienne is a mismatch nightmare, and if Peterson kind of find ways to get those players onto the field and give easier options for Trevor, I think you can make the most of it. I mean, Mina only you or like pulling out those names like that. I got to be totally honest. I forgot that. Tim, when you think about the players that they surrounded, Trevor Lawrence, I mean, they spent a $195 million in guaranteed money on free agents that soft season. They try to go out and get some people, but how does that actually look when you look at it on the field? Yeah, I think that part of what I think is alluding to this. Look, Doug Peterson wants to create easy scripted completions. It's something that, you know, quite honestly, Andy Reid has done a tremendous job of doing throughout his career and you look at the guys that have come from Andy Reid's tree. It's finding, you know, I don't want to say mindless, but like things that don't take a ton of thought to find completions. And I think you can do that with people that are dangerous with the ball in their hands as you mentioned Evan and grum or Travis Etienne who remember was essentially a non factor last year because of the injury. And so I do think that that does change them along with the money they've spent elsewhere. I gotta say, guys, just the footage there of Trevor Lawrence in shorts, I realize he's just in shorts, but you just see him throwing out there and you're like, man, this guy looks the part. You almost forget how talented he was in college coming out. And why he was

"They also added a backup quarterback on top of all that. They added veteran quarterback teddy Bridgewater as their backup quarterback on a one year contract. That is a fantastic move. Not only is teddy Bridgewater a decent, solid backup quarterback, he also can help mentor to a tongue of aloha. And these were not massive earth shattering moves from Miami. It's not like, you know, the Chargers are signing JC Jackson as an earth shattering seismic, massive move in the NFL. It's not like the Russell Wilson trade or Aaron Rodgers contract, anything like that. These are smaller moves that are really good that are quality that are solid upgrades to help Miami's young quarterback situation, you know, their young go to a tongue although it needs help. It needs people around and they can help him win. These are smaller, less notable moves that are helping the young quarterback in Miami to a tongue of a lower and I love love love. What Miami is doing. The Jaguars. Oh boy. The Jacksonville Jaguars have been doing a lot. Some of the stuff I can explain, some of it I can not. Let's break it down. Number one, the Jaguar signed Pro Bowl guard Brandon sheriff from Washington. He's 30 years old. It's a solid move. It helps rebuild the offensive line. And it really helps to support your young quarterback, Trevor Lawrence, move number one, love it. Number two, they signed tight end Evan engram from the New York Giants on a one year deal $9 million fully guaranteed. He will be 28 in September. The Jaguars very much need a tight end. So it's an all right move. Evan Ingram had his least productive year of his career last year. 46 catches 408 yards, three touchdowns. I don't know, you got a lot of drops. He didn't have a huge impact last year. However, he has talent. The Jaguars are desperate at tight end and I am curious how he's got I mean, it's very possible that Trevor Lawrence is a much better quarterback than the Daniel Jones. I have an open mind here. I want to see how things go and it could be, this could be a guy who either does really well and signs a long-term contract to stay in Jacksonville or he's going to be a big bust, and it doesn't work out at all. In Jacksonville, he's out of one year approve a deal, let's see how things go. The Jaguars also signed to receivers. They signed number one. Zay Jones, they gave him a three year $24 million contract. Zay Jones will be 27 this fall. He's been in the NFL for 5 years. His last year he played for the Las Vegas Raiders he had 47 catches, 546 yards, one touchdown catch. It was a big one, it was a game winning touchdown on Monday Night Football to beat the ravens in overtime. It was a huge play, actually. J Jones is fine. We'll see what he can do. He hasn't really gotten a real shot to be a starting receiver yet. It feels like a little bit of an overpay, a little bit of a stretch, but we'll see. Now here's the big one though. The really crazy contract. They paid wide receiver Christian Kirk, $84 million on a four year deal. Christian Kirk is 25 years old he's been the NFL for four years. Last year in Arizona, he had his best year of his career as a pro. He had 77 catches for 982 yards, 5 touchdown catches. It's worth noting though, Christian Kirk, making a ton of money, has never had a 1000 yard receiving season ever in his career. And it feels like the Jaguar is overpaid for.

"Very much It's now 6 36 on Wall Street That's time for the Bloomberg sports update and here's John stat showing All right John no secret the Giants need to improve their offensive line They don't have a lot of salary cap space but I'm opening day of free agency They did add two offensive lineman Mark Lewinsky had been a starting guard with Indianapolis and center John Feliciano who was with buffalo another guard Lake and Tomlinson He's joining the jets coming from the forty-niners jets also got tight end CJ azuma from Cincinnati They reached on Braxton barrios who was an all pro last season as a kick returner tight end Evan engram leaving the Giants He was once their first round draft pick he's headed to Jacksonville Josh Donaldson joined the Yankees in Tampa the day after the big trade last year Donaldson while with the twins accused his now teammate Garrett Cole of using sticky stuff to help doctor the ball cold and stuck Donaldson out three times Whatever happened Obviously he felt like it was a better idea to probably strike me out but she did a few times So at the end of the day I'm happy to be on the same team And I have to strike out against him more Yankees have been in talks with Oakland about acquiring first baseman Matt Olson He's instead headed to Atlanta which means Freddie Freeman will likely not resign with the brave Nets way tonight in Orlando the unvaccinated Kyrie Irving couldn't play but did attend Sunday's home game also went into the nets locker room for doing that sitting in New York find the nets $50,000 Cameron Smith won The Rain delayed players championship golf in Florida by one shot John stash that one Bloomberg sports John All right John thanks a lot It is now 6 37 on Wall Street and that brings us to stocks and some of the names that are moving in the pre market this morning for that we're joined by Bloomberg radio and TV markets correspondent Gupta fresh offer 12 hour nap Fresh off my 12 hour nap folks I got so much sleep You're so refreshed So great Not to brag on a Tuesday but here we are You are seeing some futures higher when it comes to the NASDAQ 100 The S&P features kind of flat But underneath the hood only 16 stocks are actually higher in the pre market So that does tell you that there is looks like to be a little bit of pain here at the opening Let's talk about what is moving to the upside and that of course is going to be this airlines Delta coming out seeing one quarter or first quarter revenue excuse me about 78% recovered compared to 2019 levels That's a big deal because their previous view was 72 to 76% but that news is pulling up delta shares da L is your ticker up 1.1% in the pre market It's also pulling up the other airlines with it southwest for example LUV your ticker up 1% in the pre market UAL is for united up 7 tenths of 1% Even American Airlines catching a little bit of a bid here up four tenths of a percent AAL is your ticket there That's unusual on a day that's pretty risk off to see the airlines actually outperforming also keep in mind you are seeing some moves to the upside and the defense spaces a Lockheed Martin LMT is your ticker up four tenths of a person This looks like a continued bid from yesterday after Germany said it would purchase Lockheed Martin's F-35 warplanes as well as €15 fighters of course we know it is upgrading its military response creating a budget of a $110 billion to modernize its armed forces Of course on the back of Russia's invasion of Ukraine So you are seeing those defense names take a leg higher as well LMT like I said up four tenths of a percent But then there are some downside stories and we should stick to this Those downside stories for example are a lot of the oil companies Occidental zero XY is your worst performer this morning down 4.9% and with it some of those other oil names this really comes back on the idea of lower oil prices perhaps coming back on the idea of the China lockdown in Shenzhen This morning 97 24 is so under a $100 a barrel Ugly morning overnight in the Asian session Very ugly morning and once again it comes down to those COVID restrictions that they're putting in zero COVID policy It also comes down with some kind of concerns that perhaps China is the next country to be sanctioned just because of their ties to Russia and you're seeing that show up in those U.S. listed Chinese stocks The likes of Alibaba for example BAB as your tigger for the ADRs down 6 and a half percent in the pre market JD as well JD is also the ticker Also declining four and a half percent So keep an eye on those ADRs That's where you're seeing a lot of pain Yeah we were asking the question M live I should say was asking the questions My former employer Yeah And where are all the dip buyers Because they've jumped in since 2018 and so you know one of the questions to mold this morning as the NASDAQ futures turn green up 12 points right now Pretty Gupta from our markets team S&P futures right now two points lower and the NASDAQ the.

"Weeks but outside of that there have been some receivers that have also struggled More for the jets. I thought he was going to have really good season. Azam quite happened. He's been caught up in some injuries though. And then devante smith davonte smith. I'll say this. He's had an okay season by expected him to be better expected in the number one target for deal hearts out of the gate so i think that this offense is gonna run through. Qadir's tony this week. And through saquon barkley with daniel jones. I can see them winning and being ahead for some of the game having the past not necessarily as much if the saints do struggle so overall. I think that that's a risky plight. Now could pay off but i don't think he's going to have much value. Mpr because he's a deep at this point so he's not gonna get a lot of those targets. Yeah so i. I definitely see your point justin. But they didn't call me high reward for no reason who so anyway. So yeah. i think. Tony's gonna show out he's going to get those targets that would normally be going to various lateness drilling shepherd. They're both out. And then kenny. Gold is gonna get all the attention from marshon lattimore one of the best shutdown corners in the game. So i see tony. He's he's gonna be the guy that jones looking for avenue ingram's back this week as well by having rooms not reliable he. Fumbles the ball. So i think dante jones is going to be looking tony's way so i'm taking my i'm calling my shot right here. Okay while evan ingram the do get like ten targets every game. I know he's not very efficient. But what makes you think that daniel jones is all of a sudden disconnect. Ignore the fact. That evan engram is back these last week even he got like a targets. What makes you think that he's gonna decide all of us. You know what this kid avenue. He can't play just abandoned him. i think he's just gonna wise up and he's gonna realize okay if i do throw it to It's more likely is gonna fumble the ball than help me out here. I know i don't have any real reasons. I like tony. I watched a lot of film on them. This summer. I really liked his landing spot at. They haven't really use them watched. Unfortunately but i i see him as a game-breaker and i'm just. I'm gonna take my shot at he. He might sink my line of this week but he was only thirty three hundred dollars. "I would feel better if they had a better off to be like. Look he the holes will be there for him You know they have a quarterback that will know how to fix protection than in called certain places. I i don't trust anything about daniel jones. Also don't trust the organization of how they're building around saquon barkley to succeed again. Would i be shocked if he was the number one running back next year. Now i wouldn't be shocked at all. I just like we were saying that again. Everything around him. You have to hit on your first round pick. And he's shown that he's not present on the field through the first two years enough where i feel comfortable taking him in the top five so i'll be happy to be wrong. Because he's an electrifying talent. Yeah he's fun to watch but it's old saying that you can't win your draft in the first round but you can lose it so i i definitely hear what you're saying. I'm less jump into this extremely crowded wide receiver slash tight end room. Kenny golladay darius slayton sterling shepard. Good area's tony. And of course. Evan ingram all of a sudden some weapons. What do you guys think about him from a fantasy standpoint as far as the. I think there's going to be only one super fancy relevant one and now the kenny golladay. I think the other ones will have their flashes like darius slayton having those two or three weeks a year where he has you know wins anybody plays. Dfs wins money. Or you know if you start him that lucky we could get it but sterling shepherd will be there consistent number two. It'll be a you know he's gonna be a pr flex it. Batch there is. Tony i i. Don't i mean again. I don't expect too much of him. He's right now going to be the wide receiver four. They'll be there little volume left for him to have. I do think evan ingram. I could see bouncing back some this year. He's pick one. Oh six there's a chance for him there to to make noise into be better than he was last year i think everybody kinda sour taste in their mouth of them in ingram so he'll probably be the player that i'm most interested in drafting out of this group. Kenny golladay mostly. Pr he's not a pr guy. so i don't think you're like jumping for joy taking him. Npr's standard leaks. He definitely is a lot more value. Because at this touchdown upside he in need as many grabs. Those are probably the big looking at. Yeah you're spot on with kenny golladay. He's never seen over one hundred and twenty targets in his career. He's never had over seventy receptions in his career but he has to one thousand yard seasons. Andy has a ten touchdown season to his resume. If he did get the volume it would be nuts. The numbers edited police. But that's not typically the wide receiver that he's been for. Kenny is he. So he's such a red zone monster thirty one targets in two thousand eighteen and twenty nineteen combined. Does he get those of red zone targets here or does evan engram get them or can daniel dimes. Throw the ball to the end zone. I think he'll get some. I wouldn't be shocked. She kyle rudolph is on the field for red dome packages to and he niks in or read them touchdowns this year long me at all..

"The jets had real offense of line issues. They tried to address that in the draft. We'll see our That gels initially just with this. Offense is gonna look like zach. Do we think it's going to be better. we do. We think it's going to be better by the you. Know the candidly subtraction. Of adam days you know and Some of the editions they made in the offseason. But there's going to be some growing pains and again we sort of. Don't know what this office is gonna look like me. The coaching staff came from san francisco. Where shanahan used multiple running backs and do we have that kind of situation here or is there a situation where michael carter is the guy. There's certainly an easy path for michael to to take that job. I don't know that anyone sitting here saying like others no way he can rest the job from tevin coleman tie johnson Michal biran but But it's not a guarantee either car was a fourth round. Pick so you know. I have it somewhere in the middle. I think there's some upside there. He's certainly if you're going zero. Rv you're waiting. Certainly a worthy flyer. But i would not want to go into the season field meeting any kind of jets. Running back You know. I think they're more upside place. Just don't does office gonna look like yet. That's exactly where. I net art as well is that All things being equal. I probably fading this running back group as a whole and to your point before niners. Which of course is now the offensive staff. New york relied heavily on multiple running backs. I don't have any name in mind right now but it wouldn't surprise me. If the jets one of those teams that monitors the waiver wire at the end of the preseason to add another running back to give them a little bit more size between the tackles one more. And we'll go to the tight end files here. Matthew is a me and daniel both have ebony ingram at tight end. Eleven the low end here. Is eric care was got him at tight. End twenty three. You've got him at tight end teen. I know that. Evan ingram is frustrating to some and i know that his selection as a pro bowl player last year rankled some including packers fans because pig tongeren probably deserved a pro bowl nod but still first of all there so few talented tight ends at his best. Evan ingram still like a unique guy. Matthew so i feel like having much lower than where daniel and i are ten or a tight end. Eleven like a year tight and fourteen. That feels to me like sort of like the bottom bracket for evidence. Right me kid be that much lower. Yes yes not i guess. The argument orem is yet player. Donna lucky with touchdowns last year and we expect an improvement of the dallas cowboys off. Put it but the argument against is that it it right start would i'd say So yeah but the the argument gans is you know. Listen no saquon barkley last year sterling. Shepard of voltaire both missed a decent amount of time. evan ingram stayed fully healthy And yet by staying helping being like you know kind of like the only guy. In the offense scored one touchdown. He was tightened. Fifteen last year it was eighteen points per game basis. So you're you're like wow like sort of a perfect storm and again. He got unlucky. I think i think the concern here at least for me is. Health is always going to be an issue with anger great. He stayed healthy one year but that has not been the case throughout his nfl. rear And you think about who else they add. They get saquon. Barkley back healthy. They sign a big deal. Kenny golladay they signed. Kyle rudolph when they're running you know when they're doing a place mccown off is a great red zone tight end as murad his nfl career. You've got shepherd and you've got daria slate and you know and you've got could area's tony now as well who. I don't think you know he gets significant volume. But do i think there's going to be a handful. A gadget plays around the you know over the course of the season around the end zone that you know to canarias tony snake. Four or five touchdowns over the course of a year. Yeah audibly right. So i just i'm really worried about the touchdown equity i'm worried about the target share forever ingram I'm worried about his health. Inward worried about daniel jones. I think the jury is still out as to whether this guy is truly an nfl quarterback sternly. There is a lot of worries about daniel. Jones is entering a pivotal third year this year since they were a lot of questions about how he will he will respond because if he crushes it this year he could be setting himself up for a major major major payday after the biggest issue. Matthew is just you kind of have to go through tight ends and all of limitations that you mentioned for evan engram. You could apply to basically all of them right a may. Just look at the guys who are around that same tier and like tied at touchdown equity or target share right. I mean like players being drafted a little bit around him or a little behind him. Like the guys. Like austin hooper in hayden hers and mike sickie and tanya all rob gronkowski like which of those players has a dynamite clear path to a huge target share. At also a ton of touchdown equity like i think the same qualifiers for ingram apply to basically all those player right but none of the anywhere near the top ten which is which is the point by. I'm saying though. Is that like those guys. Those players are being drafted. A little behind ingram. But not as low. When you get to an i'm not trying to make dishes by ranking but titan twenty-three like i could find twenty two guys way clear path to archer and touchdowns then i think probably the upside is enough that we can sort of see drafted somewhere in that top. Ten to twelve rank on titan. Listen you have you haven't eleven. i'm at fourteen. you know I'm sure erica. Does his annual do not draft lists..

"You have a third year quarterback you have to absolutely need to figure out if he can develop into a top ten quarterback in this league daniel jones so why not go and get whole yo- jones ida scout tell me just the other day that if he were the giants and he could do it all over again knowing what he knows now he'd have traded for julio jones rather than signing kenny golladay jones is still a far better player than kenny. Golladay and he would prefer to have him in the offense then. Golly so you look at this. If you're dave gettleman you can go. Get both conceivably might take some creativity with managing the cap but you have the resources and you have the need in a very winnable division to go get julio jones and just think about the opening day offense you can try it out week. One against washington you can trot out. Excuse me against denver. Week one against denver metlife stadium. You can try out a three wide receiver. Set with julio jones and kenny golladay on the outside sterling shepard a derrius. Tony shepherd might be a trade. Pc might need to move on to create cap space. But kenny golladay. Julio jones and carries tony in the slot with saquon barkley. In the backfield and evan engram. A tight end. How do you defend that. You wanna talk about replicating the kansas city chiefs model to building a championship roster to building an elite offense. That's tough three wide receiving corps in the nfl period. Full stop in a very winnable. Nfc east and you have two more seasons. Twenty twenty one and twenty twenty two with your quarterback on a rookie deal. Now's the time to goal. And now's the time to spend around daniel jones and build that elite offense. So you know. I don't know that the giants get involved here but they should. And if i'm dave gettleman i would absolutely pick up the phone and see if i can make it happen. So other teams were just talked about the ravens might be the best position here because they have thirty eight million in cap space in two thousand twenty two. The patriots have thirty. Four million in twenty twenty two in the titans at thirty one. Baltimore has all of their pecs. San fran has twenty four million. Don't rule out the forty niners of the it'd be really interesting especially in kyle shanahan's offense and you know you trying to build around trae lance. They could be asleep or team as well but it just feels like the forty niners owner of a first round. Pick of first round pick until my daughter goes to college. That's at least what feels like. So you think about all this. And i think that you have to factor in cap space twenty twenty two because eleven and a half million isn't a whole lot but two years from now he's going to be a free agent so you're going to have to sign an extension. Maybe as soon as you trade for him this year so we'll see what happens. Who knows how this plays out. Heck a tricky down by the time. You're listening to this podcast. That's just how the nfl offseason works after june one and this is the biggest nfl offseason storyline to pop up this year. So theoretically this could be a trade happens at any moment. And i'm really fascinated to see. What the falcons wind up getting for hoya jones and where he winds up going broncos linebacker me joins me next keep it right here.

"No go into a team that has now all these weapons and pass catching today. It's not going to stand in block. Rudolph block by far well. David cost anger playing time. Though dave to be sick of what ingram gave them last year golladay can do a lot of what ingram you know. Hey let's draft outfits and move on. I mean it's just so weird to pay him like an average of seven million dollars a year i if he opted anyway for cholera for a number to the patriots debut. Ingraham out of your top twelve right. Yes he is outside of my top twelve. I can't view him as a as a starter fantasy tight end to begin the season. You want draft late and put him on your bench if you get the opportunity. Yeah sure maybe he's got a shop. He led the team in targets last year. Had just over one hundred. I wanna say one hundred nine targets out that there's no way he's getting there this year. Golladay plays sixteen games. Jamie you haven't seventeenth is that that's not updated but that was before the signing so i wasn't in on evan engram to begin with chris. What about you. Evan ingram haven't upgraded updated it yet. I had him fifteenth before the signing so can't imagine he's going to be any higher that it's hard to get excited about him. It's impossible to be excited about darius slayton shepherd is only usable as a bench receiver. Npr because i think he can get you the five for fifty with the couple touchdowns every now and then sake one's going to do is thing as a top twenty to twenty five fantasy receiver. I like him better. Non pbr. pierre and daniel jones is a sleeper saquon. Barkley kenny golladay or juju. For sure dude. You for me all day and golladay for sure and non. But i think in p. p. r. I think i've got a higher but it's not a lot okay. How about how about. We never talked about tyler. Boyd or kenny. Golladay gallon on them both. I think i'll take golladay. Let me see. I can pull it up. I have got a couple spots hiring. Pbr and a lot. Higher in non brain cooks pretty for apartment. ten spots apart between gao. Cranach's folks in both looks. I've got golladay okay. Well let's take a break more to talk about when we come back including phillip lindsay going to houston what this means for david. Johnson will. We don't have to talk much about that got. It's like either way you're gonna turn the ball over three times game with either so stop turning the ball over. James hasn't really shown that maybe he had an like an game stretch. But i don't recall that. Daniel jones do one interception and his last six games or something. And guess what happened. Evan ingram dropped it. Shocker so six fumbles in that span. Diddy the league and fumbles but so is james. James probably would be the league. Fumbles to funny that you're defending daniel. I'm not gonna want to. I don't know it's it's an instinctual the draft trying to help. You compare jameis winston. I'm going to have to defend a little bit to look. Look you telling me this with daniel. Jones have had better numbers. If he had been thrown into chris. Evans yes no i think. The giants receiving core is awful. I think a lot of people thought it was really good. I think it sucks. They do not have one difference maker. they don't get open and their offensive line was go here here. We real oregon. It's easy to say that sterling. Shepard ingram and golden state darius slayton suck evan. Engram was a difference maker last year. Just not for the giants writing this. He trapped he dropped like three or four balls that became interceptions and one that caused them a win. One that caught. Yes against the eagles. That horrible drop. So that was that was rows of data joe's career by the way i wouldn't want jameis winston to the giants either. Yeah thank someone who wants to see jameis winston be fantasy relevant quarterback. Okay well thank you for suckering me into that fantasy football. Cbs.

"Tight end yet. Emaar's matters in a major way matter of fact and so let's talk about that. Let's talk about why matters so much. How rudolph was released by the minnesota. Vikings he you know last year wasn't even a top few a a forty tight end so his production wasn't like you know superlatives ready. It wasn't something that would stop necessarily A young guy from shining but it did but it did. He was still the veteran presence in the way of a young guy who was drafted a couple years ago and who many hours to super talented and it looks like the sesser right to the offense so he was in the way he had a big contract and so the vikings. Hey let's get the scott the way now sarai time and now we move onto irv smith irv smith opportunity is now upon us now. You know on the clouds podcast. We talk about windows. All the time redraft different dynasties. A major factor. The window for herb smith has now closed earth smith junior. You can no longer get at a value at a discounted rate Because his opportunity is now upon him so you may still be able to acquire him from team and the price is just to be corrected. Now you're gonna you're gonna buy him at a price that hey. This guy is the star of the minnesota vikings so the window that you had for you know since he's been drafted is now closed and that window is always there and these kind of things that are important to talk about for dynasty. Because we have to know that We have while we're trying to win now. I always believed that you try to win out. Oh believe in the whole tank thing. I don't believe in losing for graphics I'm a firm believer and you played a win now and you can do both right like you could start working your team towards a younger you know younger player base a younger roster still compete so an nerve smith you wash where he drafted to and you go damn covered off a series of vet. He's pretty decent and so he paid a lot of money actually resigned with them after. They drafted him. So you go damn. That's horrible horrible for your chances. So that means that's an opportunity for you to acquire him at a good price because everyone knew for the most part that he was not really gonna be a a usable asset for the first. You know what wall buddha was there for the most part right. Ross out of the way now. So now our smith steps right into the starting role. The team drafted him. They like him. He's an offense that's fire in. Even after lose us too fond digs they slide rookie. Justin jefferson and there. He balls out. Adam dealing doing his thing still continuing to do it. Dalvin cook one of the best running backs. Football kirk cousins. Gets the job done there so is going to be a target. If we look at what we're going to get into the numbers and see exactly what rudolph did what irv did. And how matters you know. Obviously you guys. Don't have big proponent of hey just because the guy leaves doesn't mean necessarily that the guy who fills his spot gets all his targets but this is a you know an interesting situation where it's tight end. He's moving into the starter role. It means more snaps period and get more opportunities as a super talented receiver. So let's look at where first of all covered off. I mentioned earlier when the episode started that he was a top forty tight end last year. Actually was just barely made it So he didn't crush by any means it a little over three hundred receiving yards thirty-seven Targets less than thirty receptions didn't play a full season In only one touchdown so his numbers were not great However he was out there he was getting some targets. He was getting receptions he was he was. He was out there for to play ball. He was out there taking snaps away from earth. Right taken opportunities of being a distraction from the guys getting the ball. So if we look at herbs i you know stats from last season. He actually had thirty receptions. Three hundred and sixty five receiving yards. Five touchdowns touchdowns is something you have to take. Notice that because there is a game earlier in the season when covered off was playing and he had two touchdowns on two receptions ten yards receiving so he can make plays he can big plays he can make end zone plays. He's good in the red zone so that we see that right. If you look at focus on the last four weeks of the season when colorado did not play they were herbs best games. He stepped up right he. He stepped up to the to the you know the option that he had the more. The you know the opportunity that he had. I should say had more receptions more targets more yards three touchdowns on those final game one game two touchdowns in itself though So he produced pretty much. It was inconsistent. That's the issue. It was inconsistent. And like i said we have a lot of weapons on this offense. There's a lot of different players who have to eat so that's always going to be a thing in tight ends. It's the thing outside of a few outliers of guys. There's inconsistency it just is what it is but that's what makes us interesting because when we look at the titans last season till you finish right inside the top forty. We don't give a damn about those guys right like that's it's bad it's bad enough. I mean unless you're one of those guys who were waiver wire and guys every single week and play a match ups like those guys we could care less about for the most part they're tight end is such a waste field but irv actually finished if we look at p. Pr he was right outside the top. Twenty all i care by cpr. If you're playing standard is still around the same thing. Probably but he was right outside the top twenty in which you're like. Hey it's not that great so that so that amazing It's around you know again. Irv didn't play every game last season. Convert often play game last season. So we know we gotta take that into account here. Irv missed two games. I believe it was. If i if i if i remember correctly and again with cow rudolf there. He wasn't getting all the work. He wasn't the workhorse tight. End the go-to every single time option Of there's not given the option. But you know what i mean. The favourite a target at tight end. Honestly if we look at the numbers but are smith. I just talked about heaven. Thirty receptions over three hundred fifty yards if touchdowns an end in at tight end twenty two. What is it take for him. Move to top fifteen top fifteen last. Season's number fifteen was every ingram right. Not he's not a bad player. he's a good player. A lot people like evan engram. There was about a forty plus point difference between the two forty points. Evan ingram played almost every game. Even look at it jimmy. Graham jimmy graham was evidence from dupleix regained last year. Actually it's not it's not. It's been hard for him to do that recently. I forgot jimmy. Graham played sixteen games last season. I mean all these guys are so close like from number eight gronkowski. He scored one hundred forty nine points last year. All the way down to number sixteen geno smith hundred forty so like point separated these two So you see how easy. I guess the point. I'm trying to make his easy to jump in the tight. End rankings Outside of the league is travis. Kelsey darren waller george kittle. The other guys are starting to not be anywhere near that level. But if we're talking about like top-five some guys i hodkinson i'm logan's hamas last year Th they started to put themselves like that top five category which they contained. Repeat those numbers. You know those two saying that or do better But i'm not saying that irving gonna get their that. Offense has so many options going on and you know so many things happening that that's not likely but to say that.

Justin jefferson evan engram Graham Adam Five touchdowns two games Three hundred thirty receptions sixteen games ten yards jimmy cow rudolf two touchdowns Kelsey darren waller last year Thirty receptions Evan ingram twenty two Dalvin one hundred forty nine points

"Dylan. Oh cuz he Tunes in got it. The Giants are they Contender? First of all, Arizona and Denver did not become contenders. Remember we thought they might be and they weren't so that's a bad. I wouldn't compare I would I would hope that now that New York Giants are not Denver or Arizona cuz they flopped. So now the Giants they need more weapons really depends how good Daniel Jones is it's it's I guess possible cuz they do appear to be coached but I are the Giants contenders next year. No, no, no. No, I don't. I don't think so. They're too far. They could be a good team next year like song and win a couple important games, but there are ways off from winning a Superbowl. I gotta keep building the franchise and getting making more upgrades to the roster and they gotta figure out the quarterback then figure out the offensive coordinator is Jason Garrett good or not. I don't really know. So there's a lot of work that needs to be done in New York and they're still a ways off from becoming contenders for a Superbowl or even a playoff berth. I guess that's true cuz they were the Giants almost made the playoffs last year. But that's in a terrible division in a normal division. They would not have almost made the playoffs. So yeah, it's it's a it's a weird sliding scale in the NFC East. Henry writes in a very very long one, but I really actually combined two of his questions worth of knowing it's great. Henry says hi Zach greetings from New York. You made a video earlier this year where you said you've officially given up on Daniel Jones. I'm nowhere near convinced that Jones is the guy dead. I feel like it's a bit unfair to say that he has no chance of being a good quarterback. Darius Slayton is a great fine for a fifth-round pick and but it shouldn't be a number one receiver. The Giants can get a top receiver. Hopefully multiple receivers have a healthy saquon and get rid of that butter-fingered scrub Evan engram. Then I think Jones might be able to have a dog eat a year three leap similar to Baker or Josh Allen. That being said if the Giants get on some real Playmakers and he can improve next year then the giant should move on from Daniel Jones. I know a lot of my fellow Giants fans were disappointed by Jason Garrett this year their offense was ineffective on creative and generally uninteresting except for the read-option occasionally with Daniel Jones long touchdowns..

"I'll go back to him as well and then coach is another one you know. Just looking at the most likely scenario jimmy. Graham leaving i hope for jimmy graham sake it was pretty cool moment. Brooms end is is the time of his career. You know catching the one hand. Touchdown walk into the tunnel in the place. Where you made your most your production new orleans Not the ending that you wanted but certainly the maybe place in the play So those are three that i'll look at A lot and in that same draft drafted at the ankle. Commit to what you said. He's about you know dave's point i'm taking too. I think that's good if you don't get a guy that you like in a guy that you're sold on rethinking has potential. Take two guys eating potential so those are two sleepers and then the breakouts Dow's god's going to be number one if sacri- has gone as expected I think no fans they'll fall in that category as a breakout guy. Those would be probably the two most popular ones. Okay so jamie says irv. Smith blake jarwin coal kameta sleepers. Dallas noah. fant is breakouts. He's got well that's most of them know would be probably my favorite breakouts I would like. I think one guy is oj. Howard it's going to be and we don't. we're not talking about who's going to be on the buccaneers next year yet. Because they're still playing this year but they have a lot of decisions to make with their offense and howard still under contract for another year so he could be really interesting to the deep sleeper coming off. That injury agree on jarwin. I think that there is a chance to find somebody else. That jamie didn't say but he's i think he's at a mall. Okay now i mentioned. I'm blanking on his name for whatever reason the rookie from new orleans with jericho trautmann trotman. And maybe maybe josh oliver actually skits and stays healthy. That could be An offense that threw the ball of the tight ends a little bit jacksonville. What about hunter henry in ebony. Ingram i ask jamie about them on f fifteen five heath. he's he's jamie's moran on henry ingram heath. What about you are you about those who were at you know exciting young players for one spotted time. They're still pretty young Who is henry playing for that. That will have a big impact on. How excited i am but if he goes to a good situation where you expect him to get targets then yeah i think you'll still view him as a low end number one side in it. It's hard for me to get excited about ingram. Just because of the way that they use them most of the time but he will if he is somebody that's available in and around nine around ten. I think he absolutely belongs in the sleeper category. If we're still going to draft him in round six around seven then i'll be out. I mean in the draft. Just did he went after. Zach zach ertz. Now we didn't have rankings so you actually took too tight ends in rounds. Twelve and thirteen. I said we just did it. Did it early january. Jonnu smith and zakar. It's you took with the last pick of round twelve when the first pick around thirteen. And then evan ingram one right. After that and i know this was a draft where you were oh man. I'm maybe a lot of people. Oh maybe i should have taken that guy. 'cause he just couldn't see who was available. But would you take evan engram over johnny wars. Akers.

Jonnu smith josh oliver zakar jamie Zach zach ertz next year Twelve Graham evan ebony early january johnny wars jimmy three jarwin jimmy graham dave two guys this year first pick
