"Don't worry, ladies and gentlemen. Eugene Robinson, a favorite of Joe Scarborough, Washington Post Pulitzer Prize committee. He's on the job. He's on the morning Schmo show. Cut. Six Go. So you know, we will. We will look back on this period and I know we will remember those chaotic scenes at the at the beginning and the the sense that nobody knew what was going on and the Taliban. Swept in, and the United States clearly seemed caught flat footed. Um, but I think we will also remember what could be the biggest and ultimately most successful airlift in history. So stop. This is one of the guys who is now going to try and Push the propaganda in the narrative. So this is this is that the the most successful airlift in the history of people as opposed to something else, I guess. Which is why they keep throwing the numbers out there without the denominator. "The Case for Trump, prolific writer, Thinker speaker. You sound to be saying that some of that blame can rightfully we put on the doorstep of Donald Trump. How does that hurt his legacy? The left will write their own history. But to sort of the Winston Churchill way to the extent that he doesn't get to write his own. How does that hurt his legacy with the base with conservatives that it's 50 50, and now many folks within the Republican Party will say what? You're the reason the Democrats there are doing what they're doing. Uh what? I don't think it's at all fatal he has. If you look at recent polls, he's gone from maybe 89, or 90% of Republicans to 85. And while the left keeps quoting left wing polls, if you look at what rats movement said from the NBC has popularity ranges in 48 to 44 about what it was an election day. I think that we're all the talk about bipartisan impeachment. They only had 5% on Li Pin. 10 representatives wanted to impeach him, and they're all gonna be primary. I think he's got the basis to recover and Americans may not like it. Sore loser, but they can't stand a boastful conceded winner and in an ironic way with him deep platform from Twitter. He's not tweeting now. We're not hearing from him. But who are we hearing from? We're hearing from You know Eugene Robinson, not the Washington Post That said, All of his supporters need to be de programmed or ale, Si says that we all have to be wrapped, de radicalized or deep pacified. Are we here? Don lemon, saying we're all not using, and all of that is in addition to this agenda that's going to be very radical. Stopping fracking. Are we going on in the middle of a covert epidemic? We're gonna open the boarding And let him thousands of people who won't be tested and when a customer so there are things in the pipeline that they're developing, and the natural news cycle that will only get people in rage. We're gonna see the wages of what they did by electing Joe Biden and I think in a moronic way, because Don't crumple. Be there for them the scapegoat and he won't be be supplying the every grievance on Twitter. It's gonna help him. Absolutely. It's gonna help him. People are going to say, you know way. Told you So you may never Trumpers. You said Yeah. Look at this. Look at what you got. You were the ones that gave us the stuff. You say you're anti abortion? Look at the most radical abortion bill. You did that. You said that you were conservative judges. That's what you've got with compasses. What? You got the job? I So I think that never come first in the independence had no idea, but if they did, they were severely mistaken about this. Left wing Joe Biden movement. It's not. It's not a democratic movement. It's a hard core socialist progressive movement. That's going to alienate a lot of people and Donald Trump places cards, right? I think he could recover. This past March, he released a book called The Case for Trump. What is Trump's legacy now? Well, it's three. First of all, There's this record and the record is before core would there was this record Lee record? Booming economy. There was a completely direction foreign policy got tough with China. He redefined the Middle East. He got her NATO partners to cough up killed. Baghdadi and So many you went after Carol. She didn't get us, then start any new. None of these optional wars in the Middle East conservative judges, energy development. All of that was good. I think after the first Six months. He started to understand that you can't have a lot of these freelancing and point either people who are on better there, but more importantly, swamp Long the Republicans that were everywhere and you had no choice but You know, use the army. He had so to speak. But it took him a while to ferret those people out and he was getting close to understanding that, uh, I think that he Underestimated the power of the left because they control the media, the university Hollywood entertainment Professional sports, not just the Democratic Party that the administrative state control the entire culture publishing music. When he starts getting attacking them, and people wanted him to attack him because he was tired of McCain and Romney passivity. He didn't realize that every time he tweeted or got an argument, he was going to have mega times back, and he could spend his entire time arguing. I think it might have been better to be more selective. Just smile and say, OK, that's what you think, and then get together with his team and see how he can get legislation through that would nullify or neuter These Attackers, But when he went on the airwaves, and he replied, every single critic I don't think I think he just sort of it was about 360 degrees firing squad. They were shooting at him all the time. You have referred to his language and his insults as uncuff authenticity. I think that Trump is potentially to be remembered most as authentic. And that's the thing I hear from listeners a lot that he's authentic. He's not a swamp creature. Do you think that at the end of the day that will turn out to have been his greatest personality trait? I think that was important. Really Woz and I wrote about that and talk about that. I mean, think of all our candidates. It changed our modulating in our accent. Hillary Clinton. I'm so tired Barack Obama Every time you talk to it, inner city audience, he changed his path Law and they all do they all dressed up with, you know caterpillar hats and jeans. Romney look like a fool he would wear Clad in jeans with wing tips. He did. Well, I know I know. In the street. The trees were just the right height in Alabama, Remember? Well, remember? Well, yeah. Yeah, but everywhere Donald Trump went whether it came out here to rural California and talk a bunch of farmers. He wore the same tie. He wa saying shoes. He had the same hair. He had the same Queens accent. And he was authentic and people didn't like it because it could be crude and on cool, But I said, but it was authentic. And that's more valuable than refined duplicity and with Obama and Hillary. They knew they were being had, and they were eloquent. But they were dishonest. And with Republicans the argument that the Republicans were giving their constituents Woz Well, you guys just calm down because actually in temperament and culture, one more like or opponents than we are like you Exactly. When you have been trust us and people finally said, You know what I guess I'd rather win ugly than lose lose nobly and I'm not gonna lose noble anymore. I'm gonna win all day if I have to. And that's what got sort of electoral varnished real. You know, you get to go into the kitchen and see it made and you realize, OK, it's an ugly process, but it's real, and I think it's how a lot of a lot of us talk. It's how a lot of people communicate and it's not in political speak. And we had had so much of that from the Royal family's professor victim, Victor Davis. Hanson. I could take all of your day. I love to hear you talk. Please come back and visit us. You're always welcome on the show. Well, thank you. Thank you for this. Mr Chairman, Mr. Chairman is piers near..

"Everything else. Again. It Can anyone find me? Even a single mention of a riot in the spring. Looting in the spring shooting cops. In the spring being a super spreader event. No. No, that would get you banned from Twitter. If you set a riot was a super spreader event if it was a left wing riot, anyway. And you know, someone told me today I've been checked it but the number one best selling book on Amazon right now, 1984. I wonder why that is. 1984 One of the words that you associate with Orwellian. Think and 1984 style Ministry of Truth. It events is a word called reprogramming or de programming. So now we have Eugene Robinson from the Washington Post. This is on MSNBC. He's so he's one of the morning. Joe's Panelists he wants, uh Trump's supporters to be reprogrammed Cut 17. There are millions of Americans. "Mail bag. But we begin this hour with the consistency, democratic and media drumbeat that a threat to democracy is underway. Weird because they didn't seem to think there was a crisis of faith in America Democracy, and they spent four years declaring the President Trump was Russian plan. But now Eugene Robinson is deeply worried about the future of American democracy, he writes in The Washington Post Today, Democracy requires faith. President Trump and his unscrupulous enablers, including most Republican elected officials are cynically destroying that faith for millions of Americans. I fear the nation will pay a terrible price. Oh, have you yet acknowledged the Stacey Abrams is not governor of Georgia. Have you acknowledged? The mother report turned up Absolutely nothing of relevant interest with regards you Trump Russia collusion. Eugene Robinson is deeply worried about the institutions of our democracy again. The insane irony of hearing from Democrats who spent years undermining fundamental institutions of American democracy, saying that the Senate is bad in the Electoral College is bad, suggesting that Trump is going to burn the mailboxes to stop the vote, and now they're turning around there like well, Trump won't accept the results of the election. Democracy is in threat. No, it's not. There's a process in the process is playing out. But they're hitting the panic button now. Jim Clyburn is suggesting that there are some fragile that there is a threat to our fragile democracy. Remember, James Clyburn is also the sort of character who has who has suggested in the past Holocaust comparisons. I believe he compared Republicans to Nazis. At one point in the last several weeks. Here is Jim Clyburn, the Democratic majority weapon. There are some genuine threats to this fair, fragile democracy of ours. We've seen that play out now for the last four years and is now being put on steroids. And so any time.

"Last week we played those three sound bites of Joe Scarborough from MST NC and of Eugene Robinson to Eugene Robinson Cuts and Eugene Robinson had just written a piece. I was making fun of it. On the air and Eugene Robinson went on MSNBC and contradicted his own piece in the Washington Post last week, saying that there's nothing to worry about with mail in balloting and I don't know if you have those that you know, your your figure takes fingertips because they were from last week. But it was quite there was quite something. When Joe Scarborough raised the question, he's like, Well, wait a minute. This was early last week that Carolyn Maloney, they're still counting votes, and today they're still counting votes, and Joe Scarborough raised the red flag here. Just look to what's happened over the past couple months, not in states. Republicans ran, but let's talk about New York ST Andrew Cuomo State Carolyn Maloney. There's an article in the paper today still doesn't know whether she's been reelected or not. There were small local races and New York State it took a month. To resolve and they still haven't figured out a congressional race There are going to be 435 of those in the fall, and on top of that all the Senate races and the presidential race. And suddenly there is reason to fear we may go into the new year not knowing who the next president of the United States, This is their plan. This is their home. Now. Here comes Eugene Robinson, who that very day last week had a lie A big lie in the Washington Post. Attacking President Trump, saying there's nothing to worry about with mail in balloting and the ink had not dried on his phony, corrupt propaganda piece in Dr Evil's fraudulent newspaper. When Eugene Robinson said, this, it's gonna be a mess. It's going to be messy. It's not going to be like a normal election night when we get a winner and there's a you know a big crew speech in a concession and understand it's all over. That's not what your piece said in that morning's paper. He wasn't done yet. Unless, of course, it's such a massive wave really go in one direction against problem. That's the only massive wave wave that's potentially building out there. But unless that happens, yeah, it's going to be a mess. So let's let's get into that mindset. Let's get prepared. More of a mess. Yeah. There you go. I mean, completely contradicted what he had typed for the party in that day's edition of the Dr Evil Post completely contradicted, And there's only way they could be a waivers for against the Republicans. For Biden, they win the Senate and the House has a long, long, long, long Tony says, course we're not going to know and that these people, their brains are extremely defective. These air the most dishonest, corrupt people. Could God they're awful. By the way, The New York Times Here is a A great piece from the This is from the capstone. Report. Analysis. The New York Times hints that leftist If Trump wins in November as the headline trial balloon or threat If Joe Biden does not win in November, is the sub headline. If you think the resistance of 2016 was unhinged, you haven't seen anything yet. Get ready for Crazy If the woke mob doesn't get its way is going to be a wave election for boy. Oh, boy, you have the barnacle Audio also lets go. Lets go to barnacle right now, because MST N C on Listen. Here they go. The election is scheduled Beheld November 3rd. Here's Mike Barnicle on M s DNC Yesterday we could be sitting after Thanksgiving dinner. Not really knowing specifically Who the president elect of the United States is difficult now pray that there's been a landslide. But Joe Biden in order to avoid this conflict, there you go. It's way off to pray to Satan, I guess. That it's a landslide for Joe Biden. So the Bolsheviks come take over the announced The New York Times provided a hint into how leftists may respond to Donald Trump victory this November. Buried at the end of a column on the media's coverage of the election was a shocking tidbit floating a constitutional crisis. Usually Ben Smith at The New York Times typed on behalf of his radical party. And his corrupt newspaper AA group of former top government officials called the Transition Integrity Project. They're all Democrats actually gamed for possible scenarios, You know, tabletop gaming of the outcomes. Including one that doesn't look different from 4016. Ah, big popular win from Mr Biden and narrow electoral defeat Now that I mean, that's a complete mischaracterization. It was a very significant electoral defeat, and Hillary did get three million more popular votes. But the electoral victory was quite decisive, and the New York Times lies about everything big and small. And okay, sir, has been Smith. A big, popular win for Mr Biden on a narrow electoral defeat, presumably reached after weeks of counting the votes in Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania. They're planning on stealing and they're going Tio litigator and bring everything to court as they already are in New York in a primary election for Carolyn Maloney. It continues for their war game. They cast John Podesta, who was Hillary Clinton's campaign manager, in the role of Mr Biden. They expected him when the votes came in to concede just as Mrs Clinton had, But Mr Podesta playing Mr Biden shocked the organizer's by saying he felt his party wouldn't let him concede. Alleging voter suppression. He persuaded the governor of governors of Wisconsin and Michigan to stand a pro Biden electors to the electoral college, another planning on completely corrupting the electoral college. They tried this last time around. And they've been talking about it ever since where you are required. You are committed electoral. You were committed to voting for Trump. But the party is going to call the governor's in Democrat controlled state and tell them to completely corrupt, corrupt the electoral system. This would lead of course, all out civil war in the United States, and I don't know that this is what they're campaigning for, But it would be. I don't want to see that. I don't see anybody. I wish the Democrats would stop the violence and the corruption and stealing everything, but it continues. This is The New York Times on Ben Smith, longtime guy in that scenario, they write California, Oregon and Washington, then threatened to secede from the United States if Mr Trump took office as planned. The house named Mr Biden president, the Senate said on White House stuck with Mr Trump. At that point In the scenario, the nation stopped looking to the media for cues stopped looking to the media for accused. And waited to see what the military would do Right now. This is the Democrat's plan on their on their table top thing here This is this is what the Democrats this is Podesta, these air senior Democrats. This is what they're gaming out behind closed doors. Make no mistake. I've got more on this coming up, too. If you want to.

"Hi graphic for a quick you heard it right you heard about it floorplan hydroxy floor Quinn we don't know we don't know how effective it is but anecdotal evidence indicates that it is effective to some degree on some people in treating not curing but treating and shortening the they're covered nineteen there coronavirus case right that's all we know about it and that seems like enough until you have a cure wouldn't you take a treatment when you until you have a vaccine wouldn't you take a treatment I think you know four to five dentists surveyed would definitely prefer the treatment over nothing over well good luck we got this device it'll help you breathe I don't know if you're gonna come out the other side of it but we're pulling for you now we'll see you when we wake you from the coma should you survive we have to put you out as we shove this tube down your throat I don't think most people would be comforted with with that being all they've got right that's pretty much all we've got they can treat the symptoms of coronavirus and that's really what people die people die of their bodies sort of over reacting to an invasion from a virus that's what happens the virus doesn't kill you it's not running around going to kill you it's your body's reaction to it your immune system can get ahead of it does it muck up the works and so you you need something to help you beat the virus as quickly as possible so that your body can't then shut down in the process of fighting the virus hydroxy caloric winning quarter Quinn anecdotally seem to work the problem is and if president trump hadn't ever mentioned the words you're probably would not have gotten the same tone of questions the same coverage of stories of the New York times story president trump is pushing something unproven and dangerous and does that mean I can't really say how it's dangerous but Hey why bother with the Israel the word of this dangerous because if you take a pill that you you don't have thousands of people millions of people take Florida winter hydroxy caloric when every day of their lives they have lupus and rheumatoid arthritis people take it to fight malaria over in Africa all sorts of things there's all kinds of reasons that people take these drugs is a reason that there are drugs if there's drugs been around since the mid thirties right well because president trump talked about it and he's not I don't know if you know this is not a doctor something reporters continually remind everybody you know he's not a doctor why is he talking about medical things because of that the media has decided that this has to be a a hoax scam Donald Trump is a snake oil salesman that didn't really work because more and more and I don't know but it's kept coming out of that is for some patients it helps right you can't really run long term triple blind studies on pharmaceuticals in the midst of a pandemic so you kinda have to go by anecdotal evidence while you run the study if you don't have time to wait well six months well let people die for imagine imagine this I mean this is the choice that the the medical profession has well let people die for six months to a year while we study this drug in a very small number of patients and we'll see what happens and then we'll look back at the data will crunch the numbers will get four or five doctors together to write this paper they'll submit it to medical journal who will then run tests on their tests to make sure that the day that adds up they'll peer review it that's the peer review process though crunch all the numbers again and in eighteen months we'll know whether or not this is the these drugs have an impact most people would go to have a you mean there's a decent chance I'll die that won't kill me that millions of human beings take every day that you know minimal side effects not no side effects with minimal side effects and that could help me recover faster or I can wait eighteen popped out take the pill where's the bill give me a pill that's I think anybody and everybody in their right mind would do this yet we have these heroes in the media who continually seemingly volunteer to not for them really they don't volunteer to say well look if I get coronavirus I won't take this pill I won't take this drug they volunteer that you won't take this pill that you won't take this drug that you shouldn't be able to do that because if they got sick I can guarantee T. U. they would take I guarantee you they would take everybody on M. S. N. B. C. everybody on CNN has essentially volunteer now if you find out that that Chris Cuomo and Brooke Baldwin to CNN hosts who have been diagnosed with corona virus we find out that they took Cork winner hydroxy clerk one imagine how wildly unpopular they would be at the the C. N. N. company picnic this summer I see people with extra social distance away from them Eugene Robinson of The Washington Post has another column about is it I swear to god it is they're trying to out outrage each other over the concept of the president of the United States pointing out that anecdotal evidence shows and small studies have shown that a drug offers hope the president is trying to offer people hope and the left is beside themselves with outrage at the president United States would dare do such a thing now we the president before this was elected on the concept of open change hoping change we need hope and change when you open trade and they all got all caught he's finally bringing hope to politics thank goodness what a wonderful human being can we give him the Nobel peace for peace we can never peace prize all right no no no don't worry about the fact you have done anything that he's been president for about twenty two minutes just give it to the previous guy was terrible the next guy I'll probably be terrible but this guy this guy brought hope and change reward him with some then he goes on to start more wars than any president in history oops they still don't bother to point that out to get Brock a bomb a bomb to more countries than any president since FDR but the least FDR had a reason Eugene Robinson writes in The Washington Post today what do I know I'm not a doctor it's a rare that president trump speaks with even that level of clarity unfortunately this observation game Sunday amid an avalanche of nonsense about the anti malaria drugs that he believes to be the magic bullet against covered nineteen this is the new spin by the way you're going to see a lot of this it's that trump is saying this is a magic bullet trump has never said this is a magic bullet from said this is a possible treatment from never said it was a panacea that would help everybody that it's you've gotta take this pill and you're ready to go they're adding that because they're moving the goal posts because the initial results are promising because the governor of the state of New York has requested the hundreds of thousands of more doses of hydroxy chloride Quinn from the federal government because they've been using it for a week and according to him in his words the results are anecdotal but promising so now they can't fully take a dump on the concept they have to find a way to change the goal posts to change the unit of measure so now it's that it's a magic bullet well some people still that Donald Trump said this was a magic bullet but it only works on eighty five percent of people are ninety percent of people are hospitalized and then what about the rest of them Donald Trump has let them down and therefore he must not be reelected doesn't matter what the percentages it's always there's one person that will be the story because they're terrible people Eugene Robinson continues it it's it is remarkable how a tongue twisted word few of us were familiar with a month ago hydroxy chloride Quinn had suddenly become has suddenly come to represent so many of the reasons trump should not be president especially during a time of crisis and I guarantee you Eugene Robinson goes to the doctor today and gets diagnosed so you you have contracted coronavirus Eugene we're going to send you home with best wishes I guarantee you one of the questions for his doctor is there anyway I could get that drug you know the one the president talking about like I don't know if it'll work or not but is there any way I could get that just to try I guarantee you that but since he's not sick he's safe behind his keyboard like a keyboard warrior like so many of these people to denounce anybody offering hope to anybody he continues that one word illustrates trump's arbitrary anecdote based method of making decisions his reliance on cronies who have no relevant expertise his rejection of science or perhaps his failure to understand how science even works his defiance stubbornness and clinging to what he knows even when he doesn't actually know it his obsessiveness even in the face of contrary evidence and his impervious nous to fact based arguments he does not want to hear Eugene Robinson could be describing his colleagues in himself he's both a columnist at The Washington Post and of course since liberals love to pay each other for agreeing with themselves he's an MSNBC contributor he's probably pulling in and totaled a quarter to a half million dollars every year for genius opinion like this telling people not to take a drug when they have no other alternative when this one could argue there's no science behind Donald Trump doesn't understand the science well Eugene Robinson doesn't understand the science of anecdotal evidence in the midst of a pandemic the importance of hope for human beings maybe it's all psycho somatic I don't know but the blind studies that have been done are showing promising results but again you know Eugene doesn't want to take the pill that's fine good more for us I do want to know I do want to note the CNN fools are taking Eugene prattle Zahn and then we have some audio that will get you in the next hour of the the ladies from the view and the lady from MSNBC all ranting against uneven Seth Meyers it's amazing how this is all all coming to help the once at once the hive mind no orders need to be given to the hive mind of a thought occurs to one of them the thought occurs to all of them and they all dutifully fall in line and follow along with the talking points these descend amount now they don't have to but before we stepped away let's talk to Dick in Hampstead helo deck yeah yeah yeah I think he will share something I saw Rush Limbaugh who's the **** pointed out that fifty yeah that would be fine can you eat you gotta speak more clearly into the phone Jack absolutely yeah twelve yeah that you know me hang up on deck we can't speak into the phone is not holding the phone to his head properly because the ear piece clearly isn't working either just ask I welcome all callers I just ask that you use the phone properly that's all but maybe because a problema managing losing the ability to hear someone say I love you or the ability to hear a compliment that's a hell of a segue right there how about just hearing birds.

Bloomberg taking steps to enter presidential race as a Democrat

"Former New York City Mayor. Mike Bloomberg appears to have taken the first steps to start a presidential campaign today the New York Times first to report that he dispatched staffers in the Great State of Alabama. Today which doesn't have a particularly doesn't have a particularly important role to play at this point in the Democratic primary. Hey but Alabama does have an early filing deadline for candidates getting their name on the ballot for the Democratic primary. So we'll be talking a little bit about that Bloomberg News later Iran tonight. That news is causing lots of buzz and interestingly lots of ripples of speculation about other Democratic candidates who might still still get in. If Mike Bloomberg's apparent move here can be seen as a sign that actually. It's not too late for more Democrats to get into the race to try to win this nomination nation. I will just mention that our Pulitzer Prize winning colleague Eugene Robinson reported online tonight that multiple sources have told. Excuse me that a single source has told him that. Former Attorney General Eric holder has been talking to strategists about whether he ought to get in the race as well again gene Robinson reporting matt tonight with a single source but if eric holder is potentially in the mix and Mike Bloomberg looks like he might be in the mix. Well Geez just when you thought it was all all over. It's never

"That's all I'm saying they made a career out of doing this notaries. What I'm saying is because from what I hear in two thousand six remember when they came out they did a playoff game. And everybody's. Lights out days right after the game a whole whole team from what I heard they were talking about that before it's the whole is the reason why the entire team was doing it not three guys. So what I'm saying is they saw that every time I had a sack well a big hit or play that was talked about as a team. So you don't you don't wanna do anything encourage these guys? I'm not saying you're going to do anything different. I'm not I'm not saying you change or be a different person. But what I'm saying is you've you jump out there, and you make those kind of comments, and you not the guy who can back it up. You're going to be in trouble. We don't even have to go that deep if you you play basketball or you try to. Ain't somebody if you went to one of these gyms around here locally and somebody just say, oh Marcellus all about the smash on Marcellus. It may shift the in your entire approach. You may just be going there. Just get a good run get now all of a sudden, I'm gonna give him a little bit more. All that's true. Charles Oakley angle, come out of me. I was going to bowl Marcellus while the courts Reinhart her. Let me. Maybe a different exam. Let me give you a different. There's a reason why the patriots handled their business better than others. I think it's part of part of this Eugene Robinson. He was playing in the ultimate Super Bowl. But he still went out tricking before the Super Bowl and got in trouble. Everybody's focused isn't the same just because it's Super Bowl. Eugene Robinson thought he was given one hundred percent. And then they put the cuffs on a whole different story off of that. Again. I'm just telling why give the patriots with the Super Bowl is nine time. Why give them anything that just puts them on EDS? Please give me example. Oh, seven undefeated patriots. Plasco birds went out there and say we beat new when their city plaques exactly what actually up. How do we know the kale Cam backing up? So in this moment 'cause he's gonna kill robe coal. I'm not gonna sit there and fear in hope. My words butter him to a point where he's not his greatness. That's where I'm I'm a little distant from that kind of motivation. I stick around later show. "Remember, it was here here in this city that another American stood before you he told you the radical Islamist terrorism does not stem from an ideology, he told you that the United States and the Muslim world needed quote, a new beginning and of quote, the results of these misjudgments have been dire-. The good news is this the age of self inflicted American. Shame is over. And so are the policies that produce so much needless suffering now comes the real new beginning. Secretary of state Mike Pompeo earlier today in Cairo part of his ongoing nine nation Middle East tour, and while he never actually said Barack Obama's name. He didn't need to from birtherism to the continued trolling of the former president by the per current president on Twitter diminishing, the Obama name and presidency has been a foundational goal of this president and his team pump Eos attack on Obama's legacy comes almost ten years after the former president's own address to the Muslim world from the very same city. We've asked Jeremy bash to stick around and come back and take a question or two on this. Jeremy does does the audience in the room in the wider Muslim world? Look at that and say while you have to marvel at America, they they pull off a change in their foreign policy without bloodshed or do. They look at that. And hear that and say what's going on with our friend. America in my experience. Brian folks in the Middle East, actually, folks on actions less so on words and speeches, and if you look at the Trump administration's actions with this hasty abrupt and unilateral withdrawal from Syria without giving it heads up to any of our allies, we've essentially emboldened the Assad regime embolden, Iran emboldened, Russia, abandoned, the Kurds caused deep consternation inside Israel's security establishment with one fell swoop. Basically undermined American foreign policy in the region. I think that's what people are going to focus on Brian. But then we undermine that as you well know Bolton goes over to Israel. We see him standing next to Netanyahu and sounding like every American has sounded kind of traditional American foreign policy for the last several decades completely reversing the pullout by tweet that the president did by Fiat on Twitter. That's right. So there is a lot of cleanup on. L A that's part and parcel of these efforts to go around the region. Say don't worry we're still going to be here. But again, I think people will focus on our actions. Not. So on our words, and again with respect to Russia because Russia is a big winner with our withdrawal from Syria. You just have to look at our actions. The Trump administration has resisted or relaxed sanctions on Russia. The Trump administration has undermined NATO. The Trump administration has failed to hold Russia accountable. And they've taken the we've taken the word of the former KGB spy Putin and his intelligence services over our our own CIA. And so again, people just need to look at the actions. Not the words of the rhetoric. Our own veteran of the CIA and the Pentagon, Jeremy bash always a pleasure. Thank you for staying up late with us tonight. We appreciate it and coming up, Donald Trump is facing multiple challenges on multiple fronts. Nothing less than an excess stencil challenge to his presidency. We'll talk about what to watch for next when we come back. As we inch closer to the longest shutdown in history causing real damage now to families who are not at fault. As we add to that. The Michael Cohen news of just today, you could be convinced sooner or later we are in for a period of darkness for this presidency. And as things heat up one of our next guest. Eugene Robinson believes Trump is acting out quote. The government isn't shut down because of President Trump's unbelievable clueless nece as dealmaker it's shut down because of his many fears. "Right now are not sure what the market is. Because there is there are certainly also a market for new faces new blood in the Democratic Party. There's a there's a sense that the party needs to buddy who has an understanding of how politics is getting realigned in this country. I mean, look Donald Trump got elected president that can't happen. But it did happen and it happened because there is some sort of as yet not fully understood realignment going on one aspect of it is that is that independence are the largest single group of voters now so party affiliation is much. We. Than it used to be. And and issues are are up for grabs. The issues like the social safety net are up for grabs issues like. Tariffs in versus free trader up for up for grabs. Thank you both for joining us and coming up after spending the holidays, home alone, hold up in the White House. The president had a lot to talk about today. Back into this. I was here on Christmas evening as all by myself in the White House. That's a big big house except for all the guys out on the loan with guns nicest, machine guns. I was waving to a Lance. I never saw so many guys with machine guns in my life. During his very first cabinet meeting of the new year. President Trump took time to reflect on all the alone time. He's recently had at the White House. And he had a lot to say when they say the wolves immoral. Well, then you gotta do something about the Vatican. Because the Vatican has the biggest wall of the mall is a reason why politicians and wealthy people build walls around their houses their compounds. I know more about drones than anybody. I know about every form of safety that you can have you can't have a partial wall because people come through the area. That's not built unless you're a world class pole. Vaulter the Olympic team. I'm the only person in the history of our country that could really decimate ISIS. Everybody gives me credit for decimating ISIS in many respects. It's very exciting. Because I like winning. We're hitting the hell out of them, the ISIS people we are talking to the Taliban. We're talking to a lot of different people. I had a meet. Eating at the Pentagon with lots of general. So would like from a movie better look into Tom Cruise and stronger. I said there's the greatest from my seat. I I saw more computer boards. And I think that they make today. Still with us Eugene Robinson Jean. What did you make of the president's off the cuff? I guess if you want to say, hey, no off the off the cuff of the wall off the ranch of whatever he just made stuff up. And and if he if he won't read a history book, get him get him books on tape or something like that. He also invented a particularly especially pernicious version of the history of Afghanistan in which he said the Soviet Union invaded Afghanistan in order to to fight terrorists who were coming across the border. So it's just totally absurd. The Soviets invaded Afghanistan to shore up a puppet communist government there that was about to be toppled, and that's history. But fact in history. Don't matter to him. He makes up histories that. Whatever point he's trying to make it was a bizarre unsettling, and I think profoundly disturbing performance. Alright. Eugene robinson. Thank you. And that is our broadcast tonight, Brian. We'll be back tomorrow. Thank you for being with us and good night from NBC news headquarters in New York..
