You know kinda like somebody needs to hit the gym and hit those weights or yoga or or go for a run That's exactly what it is you know and It's not always you know happy-go-lucky painting stuff you know. It's it's the universe works on positive. Negative energy and everything applies to that right. It's so whatever. I taken negative. I have to. Sometimes i followed it up. And sometimes i just gotta turn it around and release it you know. And it's it's you have to you know for your own health your mental state for Physical health but never less. That's a good question because that's what drives my art is Everything that you see around you. That's that's negative. You have to deal with did some way or another right so therapeutically for me is to just turn it around and turn into a positive and you put out beautiful beautiful in the world. "You have to meditate. Before or at least i meditate before before i paint have to be in a space where i'm not affected by any kind of Energy so it's always positive energy so when you paint. Someone's like letting go of all this that you compress than hell back and you just let all this positive energy or you try to create positive image to me. I need it you know i needed like jogger needs to go run. Were right a bike so to me painting. That's what it does for me in the output like that and the second thing that inspires me. Motivates me is when i see people react to my art. You know to my work. It's it's it's powerful it's to me. It's it's very powerful. it's. I've literally seen people tear up in front of. Who has they as. They see my work my very first shows. I saw this older lady just standing there designs your reaction just grabbing touching challenges going. Wow wow it. Just looking at it. And i was so touched by that. I literally grabbed the painting and gave it to her and she says i can't afford it. Even though they were like at the time fifty dollars seventy five hundred. Like i don't i can't it and i'm like no it's to me a means more. That piece is going to use somebody that really appreciates it in really just the way you know. It affected her the men more than the money. So so that's one of the drives for me is to be able to touch people in that way in a positive way. So why should we care about art question that i always like to ask as as a society or as an individual Your choice. I think i think as an individual. Why should we care about art. Will i think we should care about are just like we care about a beautiful sunset. You know. I think we should care about artists when you see a bird. Flame by beautiful bird how majestic they've flow in the area knows. I think you know we should care about are like we care about the trees in Nature's are you know your kids your children are. Are you know so when you see a painting the will husband. How does it touch you when you see a working. You're in your house whether it's a portrait or an ornament whatever it is i think we should appreciate it. We appreciate everything else around us. It does have an effect of us whether we realize it or not our does like music it touches you right at you know you drive into work or you're doing we working out. We put music on. Sometimes you know the laundry or whatever. You're working on your yard. You put music on or you listen to something. I think that we don't give artists that much credibility because it seems like it's a it's a hobby right but i think people don't realize as an artist puts his soul soul into it. Just you're not just your finances your soul into it. You know now. I love that. I love that. What about society that was you brought that second half out a think as is the society. We need to invest a lot more resources because for example for veterans you know help them deal with. Ptsd so the. We realized that when artists start express through our day kind of release their experiences in the actually opens up more in the talk more about their trauma. When you're painting. Remember painting with veterans nelson started talking about something that happened experienced incumbent end before they were just know in..

No the people yoga for the mine also physically but for the body you know and things like that but for me painting is so relaxing. I have to after literally shutout. You know all the noise you know your everyday noise whether it's work or bills or issues or you know social issues whatever's going on in around your world in your life When you pay you literally have to shut everything off. You have to meditate. Before or at least i meditate before before i paint have to be in a space where i'm not affected by any kind of Energy so it's always positive energy so when you paint. "Or or sacrificer days off and and sacrifice time with the family focused on your art is something you have to give you know. Unfortunately our society does import artists at a certain level where we need a support of moore and whether it's financially or or give them space or art space or or you know i know denver's does a lot for artists. I love that. But you can't say that for a lot of cities and towns of network society in itself. But i'm lucky to have a great job to do that. Yeah yeah absolutely. Let's let's let's let's segue great opportunity for segue into the nonprofit. Would you talked about earlier and one of the things that i know. I know that. I don't mention enough that i really feel strongly for is when these kinds of opportunities presented to us as individuals in is are obligated to give back in some way is our obligation to to help grow the communities in which we live the communities in which we work lives that we have and spread influence. You know part of doing this product's helping to spread that influence until again. Thank you for coming on. I want to ask you about the nonprofits that that you're involved in how year as an artist keeping involved in these nonprofits takeaway. Oh yes. thank you That that is the my number. One mission in goal is is to help either. Nonprofit organizations workers family anybody need and to raise money I do it all the time at work. People approach me my job. Will you know part of this organization. I help veterans One of the big ones that i that i feel. You know the impact. That i've done i think was a wonderful people in mike reid. We had a solo show for me and we donated Think it was fifty percent of all sales to for water for people where they build water wells in third world countries. And i think that is my biggest joy That so far that i was able to help and donate I sold that day was the one of the biggest sales biggest show that i've had in my career day. Yeah it was huge. It was a great turnout We had a we have pre-sales art show from collectors that that bought some pieces in the day of the show. We sold more pieces and we were able to sell and donate enough to where we were able to help a community and to build a well so That's that's probably something that will take with me in my career that just motivating be able to do that. You know so So i've done that and also helped the art of war. There was a project where you help better ins that suffer from. Pt is these so we had our classes we had At the vfw. "It's chelsea art district so by being able to not work in focus by our in create a collection for them Hoping that everything works out pens out great. Nba able to become a fulltime artist. That's awesome congrats on that. And i wanna point out so you have twenty twenty two as kind of a timeframe there which would be where some around ten or twelve years. Maybe ten years. Ten years. Exactly since i picked up a brush and started so. It's really interesting that you're doing that. And i think it's super smart way to become an artist i was just thinking of a to san. Miguel is a spanish artist. I introduce that i interviewed. He paints large murals all over the world and he had said that it took him nine years. He was on the street artists painting graffiti in spain and grew his craft where he got. He got hired to create to paint instead of graffiti paint actual shudder in front of a business but he said it took nine years before he was able to live off of his artwork. And now he's dollar the world. So what i love about your story is you did. Just give them. I'm gonna be artists than struggle struggle struggle. You had a family your bills. You'd already had this career that you enjoyed and were pursuing. But you for there was something that was. I don't wanna say lacking or wasn't super fulfilling but something that you wanted to stretch it and maybe it was just created muscle but you said hey. I want to stress. Might create a muscle that you did with the art then you kind of another entrepreneurial path with david games and what i love is that you say it's. It's not about money but you realize the things that that making more money or having more time have allowed to do and it's allow you freed you up by charging more for your work. It's allowed to free up more time. Dedicate on doing art which find great joy and it's always agreeing other people a lot of great joy to it's beautiful. I work. also you like you're right on the cost you again like. I said you didn't just i'm to dive in and because you knew you could dive in and probably struggle. Yeah because there's there's their stories are all over the place about honesty struggle. And i haven't made it but but it's interesting that you have the skull minded and i know you're gonna rigid man. I know full. Well you'll reach it and you'll be like tide no long after work if i don't want to and i think that's the goal of everybody do what they're they're passionate about and i love the year you're right there. I think i think that yeah. You're right. I have a lot of artists friends that have anti more talent. I know that have their super talented. What they do in their their style of art. But i've heard artist. Tell me while you're not to repeal artists onto your fulltime artist. And i disagree with that because it's not easy just to give up your you know your day job and then try to struggle as an artist because then you'll struggle at family will struggle at your finances and then all of a sudden you take step back you know and am noonan. You end up worse than where you started. You know i feel. I feel as an artist in this day and age. You have to keep your full time job. You have to pay your bills you have to. Then you have to invest some of your extra money into your car and your extra time which even if you have to.

"'cause on their website has really beautiful beautiful images kinda like the style that i love and i would like to show in. So yeah i i was interested in that gallery. That was one of my top three galleries. I would love to show and just by looking at their website. I hadn't walked in the building. And knowing that i'm the website i saw that i made a mental note A framework also out of frame shop. So when this is two for one it was perfect. This client perfect. It gives me a chance to walk in and make an introduction of my work and also have clients are No get get framed and maybe we might make make a sale His name is derek and he is an architect and he happened to be. He's still one of my number one clients He has over twenty two of my pieces months. Since then as we've become we become great friends almost like family. And he's the one that supported my work in the early years and When nobody else would even look at my work he. He was one year before anybody sees it. So did you show your. Did you share your work to other galleries or other people at the time. No this was one of the first ones that that i show my work Do art walks and talk to curator's or galleries and they would just say well go online and make an application or or do this do that. And i. i really never had a chance to do a proper introduction or a presentation to anybody else so so this was kinda pure chance where they need to bring in my work and show it to the client and says he cut a cheque right there for seven of my pieces and also cut a check for for framing about five seven pieces at right there on the spot so i think that gave me a big boost in credibility scanning. Yeah not only architect but he's definitely already enthusiasts. You said a couple of things there too which i love to discuss a little bit mike right. Let's just give hats off to mike right For recognizing you as town having you. It was such a shame that gallery closed down but it was my favourite galley in downtown denver. The head great events. They great art great artists. And so two things one that you saw gallery that you'd like there aren't and therefore you also acquitted this potential gallery that might be interested in your art because it was something that you drives with and i think that's very important for any artist. You know you don't try to hang your modern art in a gallery that shows classic art like it's not going to be aware you being very very aware i think is key also want to ask about if you don't mind how did you. How did you price your art your early artwork and then various versus what your pricing today. We don't have to get specific numbers but like how did you. Oh what can turn this guy. Initially when i first started showing coffeeshops shops in pizzerias. i didn't know.

"Your creativity in your imagination is a gift from god. And what i do with it. It's my gift back to god. So one of the best ways that i can give back is use my art to help other people especially like organizations that i've worked through nonprofits and that's always been my goal my dr a in my mission through my art. Well let's get into that a little bit more and then we'll come back around. Because i want to talk about some of those organizations. If you don't mind i think they would appreciate that. But let's get into your story like i said i met you when you were at the mike right gallery. But as part of the intro to my run andrew. I said that you're not yet fulltime artist. But you have an interesting story. And i love your kind of the path. How they're coming together. One path being what got you interested in art and and what started creating art and then like where you are now and and how that's allowing you to become a full time artist some example. Yes yes okay all right. Hey it's kinda cool. That i met you because i was had just started painting. Maybe a year before i met you okay And i fell into the fine art gallery scene by total accident. I started painting maybe twelve to eighteen months before the mike right so Art show that that you attended ago. And i started painting by accident because i was actually in kansas for a boxing tournament. That i that i was competing in. I took some time off on.

"We validated that. It's not only the smarter ones that she. You need the service so yet you last year. Relaunch enter presidents and lunching after Also needed to check and the current market now they got their solidly been beam. It gave me companies offering the same service. And i'll do we empower the other corporates to provide better services shunts laura basically same thing. The problem with payment company api company's ability to online ability to start use the platform before they had the base at the feast will have access to the beam at him. So coming into that picture way of this at the fees one hundred percent digital onboard. Actually be activated. The same be seem submit are the corporate while other than that of course is there for enterprise accounts ability to connect went back from other bachelor but also saw the need that. There's a lot of enterprise even the bigger ones. You'd be surprised if they're actually using armor is You know let up that firms that we've built the solution for plugs as well so we have shopping fi breast. A shop will armers rigging on magento of or tenth row. We have that bury barton other than that. We also dubbed into the links there luxury locked businesses specially consultancies agencies been travel agencies do mine would-be meant links essentially its ability percents hostile invoices silence actually for bigger once. We have a lot of big brands to the platform. Eight now bigger brent. The biggest challenge rate. Now if you notice if you go to s. m. actually your articles and your code. You know there's a qr code for gca york would be my we bay and it's very hard for mrs till we also launch a feature in which actually for enterprise in individual counts but most enterprise actually using this ability to have one. You are good and that could already has over the contract payment slash store payments online banking credit debit cards. You are let's you know gabby and of course be mints and having that unified. You're empowers retail business because you know previously. It's been very hard for them. They have to apply. You have to wait. Repetition documents for the documents three-set the peace yard download. Place it in your stories. Some usa on social bj's. They just started. If i can have an instagram they have charcoal. And so you know we just basically say if you want be this brought up in. Put your deepest kind of gordon. B have access via china's without being Any set fees so other than we can customize beam at links costume invoices to contend via batch. We've built this for enterprise clients so this multiple solutions offered the end of the day. It's really what's really important for us is the payment experience of the customers of the businesses. Because you know if the customer spe merchants are happy. This is happy. And mr happy that drives revenue overall business. So you know coming into the enterprise. Sol right makes a lot of sense. Speed forward this paid for other potential venture builders you know join ups and whatnot because we need to also properly define what the ethos and what runs with ubs so that we can have other business in other future venture owners within gb extra extroverted that. I won't understand one thing that you said this one of the main metrics you built which is culture making people happy within their jobs. What's your advice for creating good culture where people can thrive in without having to be you know i mean the stakes are already high sometimes. It's very very stressful. Not a majority but how do you make. Sure that healthy balance of Stress n being happy within the bunny is properly achieved. Yes so speaking for books team. Actually you bixente agenda very important us. The eubanks organization empowers venture builders to decide entry to us based on. What would they want to provide solutions. It's also important for the venture builders to have confidence on the d. members so that's number one so making sure that if you have a tech lead you have to make sure that the empower them that the decisions Other and i think that's a query. That's very important that this way so number one would be empowerment. It's been a big fan of environment. A number tool or seductive mission shaving. But personally i think recognition is important not only paper but it has to be by heart. It's very important that you know people would feel if comes from the heart and the very very important ventured bittered always a lot time to speak to your dean individually to very very hard you know what we basically though is is just a month period. We dedicate one bucks. Ducks only invited on the work itself and you know but whether the way but also on a personal note with very barton to know what's happening especially now during the pandemic. It's very important train that has to be developed in during the s. Well we believe that building sculpture would also reflect on the merchant side. You know whatever you do whatever you feel. The customers would feel eventually and third would be career progression very very important note for that. Is that the ability for a venture leader to provide the employees career path. That may i already know that they wanna do but second is also the things that they still don't know that they will do in the near future. So the provide context you know objective example that we provide actually actually hired a best-performing player in our organization of one worthy a customer support guy. So mr birthday actually. He's non fintech experience. We gave an opportunity because we actually saw the passion in need for him to excel. We hired in started customer support and neither on. He got into managing on they in right now. He's apart assistant and before he actually started them. Nolde that the direction that headings to duck and managing demon all ventured heater or you know an enterpreneur. It's very important for you to understand where the team members come from. When you have that you can probably guide them toward. Secure your bathroom doing. And it makes them happy. And the the end of the day. If eric mississippi your guys would be happy if you'd basically reflect on what's what's within the organization briefly. I think those are most important among elements you know revenue follow once you've offered these stuff yup culture it strategy for breakfast there. You go all right now again. I want to also understand the the right just again. It's easy to say. Yeah okay good culture but that should also reflect on the product in how you again ship. The losing my english in himself So yeah what. I want to be able to understand is What's your product and validating fast agile and minor or there. You go now out there and make sure that we are shipping the right product in the right based. Yeah so on a product wearing my brother cut-rate now it's very important that you know it's been very popular right now. methodology but i guess some startup still doesn't use this method so probably i should need is necessary of some sort of a further explanation. What agile is so. Have you beat the general prior to having a bucks started when you be decided to convert into agile methodology. More into the fintechs space. The agile framework was developed and implemented agile method. By definition. it's the ability to create product backlogs within a two week time span billiards launching product. Well not thymus. The let by a sprints doing the sprint means that audio feature requests would be collected in a two week time spent will be developed. Qa tested into be launched and agile methodologies. Very perfect for fix fixing all enhancements says demands comments from the fly and but additionally from software development standpoint to before the season now getting are lucky. Man you have to line up and once it's lined up base really no way for you to change in between so if it's a you know you have wait three months before implementing and this comes in so it is very important to hear what the customers need and it's from the customers. You have to adapt and for lack of a bedroom and die so it's basically ineligibility to adapt quickly in the market and it's been bruin very successful. You didn't bounce and you know you bags coming. In two years ago and having eubanks we did. The same play created multiple products validated into agile framework and eventually launched and that made the scale very fast. Now we have the ability to adjust backlogs on the fly so of course prior to adding an debate backlog. Business needs to validate. So you know. I make sure that the customer see you needed not gonna disagree that we think are correct. You know it doesn't reward points you know very and that's true again the worst thing you can do a startup founders especially the first time right to fall in love with your solution on and you think that's it just you know there's there's a seeing an old school businesses that you build it. They will come if you build it and you didn't validate nobody will okay in this world. That does not apply. But again before anything else. I have to go franco. Thank you very much for joining us. In this edition of harsher. But before i let you go. What's next for you guys in. Ub accident especially with box. You all the exciting things but is there more. That shameless plug. I'm leaving in my frankel at any any collaborations for especially for him. Payment payment co no actually tightening times. Because right now we're doing. Sme buck sesame. We're doing bucks. Enterprise actually also it's actually on indication shake now it's box. It's peer to peer lending. We're we're working on an escrow service citing the developing stage ruined revanche. You get very soon with other than that. This actually a lot of product features that relaunching. We're really have been put aberration so any other infants who have anything in my life Multiple up being real combining my grandchildren's The platform so you know very exciting games and you know we launch fast.
