"Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I was like, fuck me, that's and that's coming from a guy who's already been slammed earlier in the movie for being like Italian, right? I think she goes like, where are you from? And I think what's your real name or something like that? So I think he goes, oh, I'm Ernesto or something always or bulbs. I can't remember exactly. That's the guy from happy Gilmore, who's like, jackass, that guy. I don't know his real name, but that's the same guy. Yeah, but there's a lot of like, again, the word the term. A term for black people, again, I will not use it to the term for Japanese people again. I will not use the original title for the film, was the knight, the so and so's invaded. I think was the original title. And the studio wisely said, yeah, let's not use that word, please. I think that was, but I get, if I understand that, obviously, we're not as enlightened as we were back then, and they want to show a realistic version of that, but I also think they're just throwing it in, and I'm like, it's not a joke. I'm not making a point of it. There's obviously a bit where the racism is challenged and stuff like that. But it's just, it's almost a bit too. I think for me, when a racial slur is used in a casual way, it's almost worse. Yeah, yeah. If it's said in anger, I'm like, that's kind of what I expect. But there's a bit more, there's something a bit more insidious when somebody just says it off the cuff. And when it almost, it means nothing to them. I mean, there's only two ways you can use it, isn't it? You can use it to therefore then challenge it later on as you said. It needs to be challenged. Or it needs to be used by a person who you're meant to hate..

"Ernnesto. Welcome tumor kaba chakra. 'as so much fun house for having us against in your program and so delighted and i love all the different ways in which people connect to that hartfield and the renaissance renaissance with the consciousness. So before we dig into this juice juicy topic because this is one of my favorites as well. Can you tell us your story for how you even got into this work with us a very long story. You have a four hour slot. We can however i might make it concise i was. I was born in mexico city and was fortunate to have been born in a very well to do family They had a coffee plantations in the state of aircrews. Some from a very early age. I went to the farm. They and instead of staying inside with my cousins and learning how to play chess and things like that. I kicked off my shoes immediately and i went outside to be with the workers so by being with the workers. They taught me how to a pig coffee and things like that and i little by little. They accepted me. I suppose because that was the son of the owners but they so more than that as time went by. And that was that curiosity. That genuine interest that i had in their way of being way of living which was completely opposite from what i was experiencing with my family so they started invited me to their homes. Their little simple homes a group of about eighty people and And two of them a couple were the elders so to speak of this group and they were the shamans. The healers dados that age. You know eight nine ten years old. I had no idea what that was but they started doing some ritual and ceremony with some people and taking herbs and beating them up with them and blowing smoke and alcohol and then to start. Doing all of that to me. And i was a kid. You know eight nine years so going like oh. I don't know what all of this is. But i kinda like it you know and blow big with the smoke and spread the alcohol. I'd like that and what happened. Is that by being exposed to this magical world of mexican mysticism third. I and my check. Res- were beginning do opened up in align to other dimensional realities that were not part of what my upbringing was bringing me or giving me and pursue. This opened the world of of shamanism to me without knowing what shamanism was got to be eleven years old. I was there observing a process and this man the shaman toucan eg and stir rubbing the egg on this woman's neck and on her arms. And i'm going. I don't remember seeing that before but okay. So when he finished he took the egg and cracked it and what came out was black life and at that point. I said wow. I don't know what that is. But i wanna do that. I wanna learn how to do that. And that strong exclamation is what began opening the doors of shamanism in my life. Wow that yeah that's So you you kinda got into it early. You didn't get some people get into shamanism in whichever culture they get into it through much later in life but you kinda i mean. Eight or nine. That's when you start developing your own sense of self now. What was your upbringing. aside from. You said you came from a tradition upbringing. What was the tradition upbringing. That you came from a very pseudo-catholic family. Okay say pseudo cadillac catholic. Because they went occasionally church to look look good and all of that but without real spiritual meaning of of the of the catholic religion so but so so what happened. Is that at the same time that i had this exposure to shamanism about very early age i had a very deep interest On on on church in fact wanted to become a monk. Because i was so deeply connected to the energy of francis of assisi In oh my path was from a very early age divided between the the the mystical a folkloric chamonix mexican culture and also the the catholic faith you know so it was balancing those out in on deal the point that it was a for lack of answers the catholic church. The priest did not have for me then. I chose to completely remove myself from the catholic faith as start looking for answers as to how the mind operates how i create the condition my mind. How the reality that i was experiencing at the time was becoming a reality.

Would Covid, nineteen hit, rb stepped up with millions of dollars to support food banks and essential services. And they had only one asked for this series domain this show, but. Make it about the small business heroes. And speaking heroes and their quest. Let's get back to see what the experts have to say. When a thought about your business. One word came to mind, and that was growth. You're doing so much to keep things going and jobs happening and so I wanted to bring some experts that could really help you drive the traffic that you'll need first ones Robert Carter the managing partner of Stratton Hunter Group. Considered one of Canada's leading restaurant and food service experts. I asked him. What do you think? Of His business. When we look, at new, restaurant fantastic. Lebanese cuisine concept done a great job of building out a leash and crowded restaurant market within Vancouver. I asked. Is that enough to building out a nation for these folks to continue to be successful, really going to need to focus on three key areas. Consumers legal interview weary of coming back to restaurants, no the motivators of why they're going to go to new behalf have shifted so there's GonNa. Be a wrong focus on that building. Trust with the consumer. Will went way in terms of trust, so make sure that customers understand changes that they've made. Sanitation Staff WanNA cleanliness standpoint to make customers feel. Had they have their best in customer safety standpoint in mind? The second factor is really. Making, sure that they understand the motivators from their consumers as to why they're using the restaurant. They've done a great job of pivoting in terms of providing. Meal kits and focusing on the off premise of delivery that's going to continue to be a core part of new business moving forward. What else should they be doing? The more that they can enhance that offline experience of that digital delivery experience to the consumers you know they'll continue to increase sales from that and the third one is really making sure that know they focus on the high quality food. That got fantastic menu the Lebanese. Cuisine is one of the fastest growing areas of the market. And any final messages that you WANNA bring. ESTA Canadians love their restaurants. It's a strong stable industry with obviously had a major setback, but expect that the industry will read out. So that was from Robert. Carter I've interviewed him stage. Number Times which. I think it's great feedback and I couldn't agree more with with all the points. I mean big part of our reference currently are actually to building that trust in the audience to know that we're making the changes of safety that are required for them to come back and feel comfortable, secondly, yeah, understanding the moderators. That's actually one of the key elements knowing where people's. People's minds are going to be in the future and how to Communicate Online, and and definitely something on the top of our mind, and how we can get there and finally. I couldn't agree more that the industry will rebound. We just need to be ready to listen to adapt to be humble, and of course to a to make the necessary changes very quickly. The next expert I'm bringing news Dick Mackenzie. Duke is cut from the same classes as you are. He's resilient. He's an entrepreneur. And what he's a leading thinker is influence or marketing. Celebrities that on Youtube finding ways to get stories told he runs. A company called real six. First thing I. Ask do because what do you think of the restaurant business? So I think that are Esto is in a tough battle. It's projected that twenty five percent of all the restaurants in the country are no longer going to exist in the next six months because of covid. He's got a good pivot plan that he set up based on the things that I listened to these got good customer service number one is really focused on creating a good quality product. Put Food. So. What would you advise him to do? I would just focus on telling a story. Why story attention is the major currency especially for small businesses restaurants because people want to feel connected to the places that they purchase so if he focused on leveraging his assets along with the plan that he had I think that he has a really good shot of turning route. So I get storytelling for big brands. Can a small business get hurt in this age and noise? They actually have a monopoly on storytelling. Especially, personality based media. The big brands have a very hard time capturing because because the big breads have to struggle with authenticity. So, how would you advise Ernesto to tell a story? He's got the power of his personality I listened to the founding story him. Overcoming Co vid him opening up. The store gives people jobs. He has the power of seven thousand instagram followers, which just put into perspective every time he posts. That's worth about two hundred fifty to five hundred dollars, marketing dollars and the number three. He has the power of community focusing on local delivery, focusing on bringing back his staff, focusing on this customer service, so he channels these three powers personality. Social Media Community. Tummy gets his story out there. He's already leveraging his instagram and its social. What I would do is focus on doing more. In what way? He averages leveraging telling his story about once a day on his instagram I would do is increase that tenfold. So tenfold does he need a process? What I would start doing is falling process called documentation and telling his stories more so by posting more frequently. So what should he document? What are nested clothes and opens up the store in the morning? Do a post on that. You know. He has a great social profile I would do. Is something like a program where every time you get a delivery, just post a Selfie of you taking that delivery and get five dollars off. Your order tried to that multiple times. A day I would do things like feature his staff. He has some pictures of his staff in there. But like taking pictures and doing instagram stories of a staff. So a lot around his staff is product deliveries or anything else he should be talking about. He's doing things to be safe and he's doing things to keep his restaurant clean. Share the story of that..
