"Be surprised. I just. I don't know. I mean, there is just unfortunate instance. You'd think it'd land from there. Some of this guy in the game as we've already saw was tremendous. You can do that tomorrow, for example, with Holland. But then when he's in that kind of form, why would you not keep starting him even if you take him off after 15 minutes or 55, he will already ask for 5 goals anyway. So I'm not sure what pimp is going to do in my bench him tomorrow because that the Champions League next week. He might start him and then submit a halftime maybe after an hour or even after 69 minutes like he did against forest and that would be enough because the guy is such a freak and a machine that you can play 69 minutes and then be okay. "This is such an extra load of work and fitness and everything that if you give him the same preparation and pre season fitness work as masala, in my explode by beginning of November or through the World Cup. If you push too early and too much, then you risk losing him to injuries at some point. It's not just the injury aspect. I think it's just purely the fitness thing. Yeah, I think we care about you. You are going to have a dip. Well, you can go all out. It can go balls to the wall. The scientists say, and then take two weeks of total relaxation. It's actually the first part of the World Cup. And then come back. And then I then go and Jack it up again. You can carry them. Yeah. Not even that many actually give it away. So beyond that, I thought, I don't Liverpool look good. When new year's came on, I was really, so some of the concern we mentioned expected goals of four Nunez is somebody who said, has also way outperformed his expected goals. Again, how well did we do with the super high line? And I think that that could be that could be. And this is about the defenders. This isn't something you're going to solve by saying, oh, look, let me play Calvin Phillips with roger. And then there's two of them, because it's not about stopping them. It's not about shielding the defense. And attacking my team anyway. So they would receive three at the back as an option. I don't think so. I don't think so. It'd be interesting to see what could corella brings. I think it can really come. "I think this is a good situation for him to grow. I don't think he feels the pressure of things at the right environment. I think if you're a city fine, you can be bullish about it. When Liverpool and the club and his fitness coach and technical staff prepare the preseason, right? They go individually, okay, this is trans program. By the way, I thought trends. I was like, wow, wow, wow, he clearly worked in the preseason. So they go individually. With mosala, there's no World Cup. So maybe the heavy precision and heavy fitness work that you can give him now is okay, because if he picks now or between now and beginning of November, for example, it's okay, 11 month rest. And they've managed to be that without really having a true striker. If Holland wants to go elsewhere, if he wants to go around Madrid, okay, well, there's talk of Mbappé going there. But if Holland were to go there, that would probably mean in BAPE is not. But Kareem Benzema right now is the man at that club. He's going to probably win the Ballon d'Or. Like, they'll play together, but is that as natural fit as he might want? I don't know. We've managed to win without it because we're gifted and we've got maybe the greatest manager on the planet, but we'd like to have someone do this. It's arguably the most important position that there is in this game. So just from a purely footballing sense, like you said, like you laid out a, they're a great team. The league has high profiles it gets, but the need for someone like him is, I mean, it's glaring. So I think I really think it makes sense on every level. And I know people don't love it because it's going to cut back significantly and a league that's already starting to hurt in a way in the way of parody. This hurts that even more. I believe, but it does make sense. I understand why this would be his choice. And I don't necessarily fault him for it. He's netted 85 times for Dortmund and just 88 games. A precise ratio of point 9 6 goals per game. 61 goals and 66 Bundesliga games. 15 goals and 13 Champions League matches. In a bad Champions League team. It goes in 7 DFB portal games and one goal and two German super cope appearances. Look, he's brilliant. And it's depressing for a lot of other clubs that city can have the wherewithal to go and do these things. I talked about some of the negative reaction. I had a Joss mayor football, which is the leading soccer magazine in Norway, had this to say, Erling Haaland has publicly emerged as a supporter of human rights. Now he assigned for a club owned by individuals and a regime that could not care about very basic human rights. And this we should rejoice for, question mark. It's like calling the Qatar World Cup a folk festival. So that's translated from Norwegian obviously, but that's the other side to it as well. We've seen the stance that the Norwegian Football Association that some Norwegian players, including highland have taken over the Qatari World Cup and this transfer does fly in the face of that. But on the other side, the argument you could make is that where else is highland going. The options are hugely limited, Manchester United, and the race for Holland were there. I would say they were there at the end of last season. It was still a possibility that they could do it. They've since shot themselves in the fort and set themselves on fire and completely taken themselves out of that race. Barcelona, the precise funding of the club. We don't understand Real Madrid, like you've pointed out, Benzema, plus and bappy. Plus halland, does that work? And then after that, Chelsea can't sign him. Liverpool probably wouldn't sign him. He would not be in their model. I mean, the other one was PSG. He's not going to go to France. Why would he probably go to an inferior league from when he's calm? Yeah, I mean, Bayern is the one where you could say, okay, maybe. But, you know, didn't seem likely. It seemed as if. And Lewandowski, the thing that is questionable there is Lewandowski's future. Like if he leaves, then I could see Byron really kicking into high gear wanting to have gotten him and maybe that will play out, but it is depressing though how limited the options for top players are now when you are oh dude, we go through this exercise every time a great manager becomes available. We say, well, there's really only four clubs where he can coach at Lee. It's crazy. That's sort of how this sport has become, and it is kind of sad. Yeah. But so that's some of the reaction to it. And you know, to JJ, you mentioned Manchester United. There's a couple of things that were interesting for me regarding that. I was reading. There's a great piece at ESPN FC, I think it's rob Dawson who authored it. And he talks about united and the interest there and a couple of things that happen with that. One, you know, his relationship with sole Shire and whether or not his firing completely destroyed any chance of Holland deciding to go and play there because there was some belief that that if Holland was going to choose then it was going to have to be because of that relationship. Because in terms of what was going on behind the scenes or on the field, you couldn't really make the argument that united are the appealing choice right now. So when Seoul Shire was fired, did that mean the end of this pursuit? There are those that say that that didn't really have any bearing on this. Who knows if that's true or not? I guess we'll never really know. And the other thing that adds just like a cruel twist to this almost, so in this piece where they talk about how Holland is now going to city, city we're able to help fund this, partially because I'm reading here by coincidence the €12 million paid to Manchester City as part of Jadon Sancho's move to Old Trafford. Courtesy of a clause inserted part of his move from the Etihad to Dortmund in 2017 helped city quickly put together the financial framework needed to eventually secure Holland. So in some ways, Manchester United partially funded Manchester City's ability to buy erling Holland. A player that Manchester United would have loved to have had. That is just a cruel slap to the face from one city rival to the other. I'm sure there's financial there's financial particles to this that I can't see or understand, and even though I love dancing on the grave of Manchester United. No. But I'm not, I'm not buying that that I don't buy that at all. That city that city needed any help. Getting the money together for this. I mean, it's just, that's not possible. And another thing that was pointed out about Manchester City is the kind of position they find themselves in now is that we know the article in der Spiegel and the documents lining out specifically how they have become the richest club in the world through revenue. So I guess when you report that this is all the money you have, you have to spend it. You know, otherwise there's some kind of disconnect. All right, you have all this money, but and Citi, it's either one of two things. They've decided, look, everybody knows how we do this now. Everybody knows what we are. Let's just lean into it. Nobody's going to love us. Nobody's going to take us as seriously as one of the elite level clubs, one of the storied clubs were a new money club. Let's just lean into it. Splash that money around. And buy the best players and go for it. And that seems to be what they're doing. So my question to you to close out on this portion of the discussion, I mentioned at the top of this how there will be fans of this league who will be disappointed by this because of what it means to the parody of this league. Manchester City are already great, but Liverpool have been right there with them step for step, pushing them in a way that pretty much no one else has in the Premier League. Can that continue? Or does it move like this? Even though it's only one player and city, maybe there will be players out the door. We already know fernandinho's leaving, which is important. There's a great piece at ESPN FC, I think it's rob Dawson who authored it. And he talks about united and the interest there and a couple of things that happen with that. One, you know, his relationship with sole Shire and whether or not his firing completely destroyed any chance of Holland deciding to go and play there because there was some belief that that if Holland was going to choose then it was going to have to be because of that relationship. Because in terms of what was going on behind the scenes or on the field, you couldn't really make the argument that united are the appealing choice right now. So when Seoul Shire was fired, did that mean the end of this pursuit? There are those that say that that didn't really have any bearing on this. Who knows if that's true or not? I guess we'll never really know. And the other thing that adds just like a cruel twist to this almost, so in this piece where they talk about how Holland is now going to city, city we're able to help fund this, partially because I'm reading here by coincidence the €12 million paid to Manchester City as part of Jadon Sancho's move to Old Trafford. Courtesy of a clause inserted part of his move from the Etihad to Dortmund in 2017 helped city quickly put together the financial framework needed to eventually secure Holland. So in some ways, Manchester United partially funded Manchester City's ability to buy erling Holland. A player that Manchester United would have loved to have had. That is just a cruel slap to the face from one city rival to the other. I'm sure there's financial there's financial particles to this that I can't see or understand, and even though I love dancing on the grave of Manchester United. No. But I'm not, I'm not buying that that I don't buy that at all. That city that city needed any help. Getting the money together for this. I mean, it's just, that's not possible. And another thing that was pointed out about Manchester City is the kind of position they find themselves in now is that we know the article in der Spiegel and the documents lining out specifically how they have become the richest club in the world through revenue. So I guess when you report that this is all the money you have, you have to spend it. You know, otherwise there's some kind of disconnect. All right, you have all this money, but and Citi, it's either one of two things. They've decided, look, everybody knows how we do this now. Everybody knows what we are. Let's just lean into it. Nobody's going to love us. Nobody's going to take us as seriously as one of the elite level clubs, one of the storied clubs were a new money club. Let's just lean into it. Splash that money around. And buy the best players and go for it. And that seems to be what they're doing. So my question to you to close out on this portion of the discussion, I mentioned at the top of this how there will be fans of this league who will be disappointed by this because of what it means to the parody of this league. Manchester City are already great, but Liverpool have been right there with them step for step, pushing them in a way that pretty much no one else has in the Premier League. Can that continue? Or does it move like this? Even though it's only one player and city, maybe there will be players out the door. We already know fernandinho's leaving, which is important.
