"Derby is the early kick-off on Saturday. We're going to take on espanol. Dennis Athletico Madrid and then it's at home against tafe, proper matches for Barcelona. Oh yeah. Go ahead and jevil. No, no, I mean, it's three big games and the way we've seen Barcelona struggle when both with the rest of the strikers, maybe not being as fit and especially because they don't have a proper number 9 with so many minutes and the confidence of. Quick pressure on people coming in. Well, that's it, isn't it? Should you replace him with pressure on election? The belly and the youngsters and answer farty has been sorry and this season and we've wondered if he was going to get a run on the side and frankly the on getting far from the middle of the potluck. I think what the CNN has been here is if you've got to make these gesticulations about referees or and send you a chance, we're going to ban you. No matter who you are. And some sense it was a little lucky anyway because it should have been a three game buying up the referee had adjudicated it properly for violent conduct which he never so ultimately the illusion of that could be a big problem bearing in mind how tight at the top. And it is a two horse race. Yes. It's going to be a two horse race between now and the end of the season. And he, as we now have covered La Liga, as we do, has been the big difference again. When this site has struggled in games that have been tight, it's popped up with moments of genius. And it's got them over the line. Well, they have to deal with them obviously. Who's going to replace him? Gemma? Oh, that's a tricky, difficult question. I think there are three players that can do that. I'm so far. Maybe could be the more appropriate going for the position, but it hasn't been enjoying that so many minutes. Ferrando res could be another option, or Memphis depay, the Dutchman, it's a difficult to say if he will be the one because he hasn't been playing because he was injured and there was a little bit of the Barcelona felt like maybe he was not trying to come back as early as he could because he was thinking on the World Cup. Then we saw that this was not true because he missed two opening games of the Netherlands therein in Qatar. Memphis by the player who got the winning goal last time they played the Catalan Derby last season in the cab now could be one of the I mean, it's very difficult to say what shall we do because this is like an opening game almost. It's been a month and a half of almost holidays. We can save it away from being training with Barcelona so it's really difficult to predict I think we have to see what chubby will tell us in the press conference and what this he's doing in the last training because today earlier today was the first time he got all the squad that they were able to train all together when kunde and then be like, we're back with the squad. If I have to say, I think it could be between and to fatty or Memphis the pie but I have to see the last trainings. And that game is on Saturday, meanwhile on Friday, a Real Madrid return there away again survive the lid. Corinne Benzema is agent, I suppose more than Ben Tamara has been making their headlines, jewels, of course, releasing those medical documents that basically showed and confirmed that Benzema could have played from the round of 16 for France. Yeah, that's right, Dan. Who is still very close to Kai Benzema, who used to be legend for many, many years, almost 20 years, and then not so much anymore, but still very present in Kane's life and environment and entourage if you want. Adam and basically what happened at the World Cup which we kind of knew already was that deschamps considered that the injury that carry himself the night before the start of the tournament was just too serious to keep him within the squad basically just recovering and getting better and not really being sure when he would be able to play him jazzy says the last 16 deshaun thought it was more the quarterfinals, for example, that was a long time to wait for him to have him ready and Benzema was like, well, if you value me, as much as you've been saying, if I'm one of your key players, then surely I'm worth waiting for, and I'm worth keeping keeping myself here, making me ready, help me recovering, and then whenever I'm ready, last 16 quarters semi, it doesn't matter so much, then I can play and help the team. You can see the two different versions because I think they're both true. It's just you can see why they're shown decided why you wanted to do and what Benzema felt upset, but what they shown decided to do. When they then bring another player in, look, look, you don't want half the higher inspector closure. Oh, figure this one over. Right. You're just going to go and say? You just don't. Right. Any other top player, any other top player, an elite country, and Benzema is would have been left there to see how if we can play a part. Even if it's 20 minutes in the world Cup final. And it's a goal. If I don't bring anybody else in, that's happening. Right. We've all figured it out. So we get we're on shore. Oh, really? There's a problem. Did you want a Miranda sleeve? Yeah. Hover around. Rocket science. Yeah, good. What Frank taught us is it shoe

"Be surprised. I just. I don't know. I mean, there is just unfortunate instance. You'd think it'd land from there. Some of this guy in the game as we've already saw was tremendous. I have a problem with these little bits of genius in the middle of the part that we saw, but you know, if you're going to get go to the ground and take a second yellow, you can't really have too many complaints and ultimately, you know, you have a team and you have colleagues that are still out there battling away and Jill said, you're really and I'm being super nice here for once. You just shouldn't believe in this stadium. It's as simple as that. As I said, is that the most egregious thing of this, leaving the stadium before the I think so. And given the cards. And as I say, as sympathize with the first, sometimes there's a strike here reaching back, the defenders coming in at a little bit low. So I allowing that. But you pick up a booking. You're on a yellow. You don't do that. You don't make the referee's job that easy. And then when you do, as frustrating as it may be, you don't store them off. You dropped your team in it. There's no other way to put it. You've dropped your teammates in it. They've held out. They got the win. The least you could have done was be there for that. Be there for them as they come off the pitch just to say well done. To storm off as you are, again, you're making it all about you. And the one thing that PSG has kind of had go against them over the years is too many individuals making everything about themselves. What were the PSG fans say about this, Jules? I don't know, we heard a bit of booing after the red card. I think that was more for the referee than for Neymar, whose name was uploaded and everything before the start of the game. So I don't know, I don't know which side is a bit early to say, we will not be more tomorrow. The friends are hard in the stadium. I have to be honest here and like Craig said and I agree completely. They didn't really understand how you can let your team down in that way because taking a red card, especially that way, you let the boys down and then you can leave because you feel frustrated when clearly you are the only one to blame. It's not a mistake by the referee, even if you don't really agree with the first yellow, you can see given and we see them given quite regularly. The second one is a shocking dive. So what is the frustration? So frustrated because you let your own team down and then you leave the stadium. So you let them down a second time. I just don't get it, so I would think that tomorrow the fans will feel pretty aggressive. I think by Neymar's attitude is going to miss one game now because he's not a straight ready to yellows. So he's going to meet the next guy she's against loans, by the way, which will be first again second, which will be huge away from home as well. And may see won't be back because he's only back at the beginning of January. So again, you let your team down even more, by the way, by missing that big game. I just don't get it. We saw courtier frustrated on the sidelines, obviously, because he didn't, the referee didn't pay advances from a gyno scored, pulled the penalty bank and BAPE is not bad with these penalty things. Yeah, no, I mean, obviously after the World Cup final and the penalties that he's got there,

"In the primary really. Erling Haaland stats time, then, of course, he made it 20 goggles, 20 Premier League goals already this season in just 14 matches. It's the first person in Premier League history to score 24 January. He's on pace to score 52 Premier League goals. The current record is 34. He's outscored 9 Premier League teams this season, including Chelsea, and if the season was to stop now on 5 previous campaigns, he would have already won the Golden Boot. And he said afterwards he agreed with you afterwards, he said I'm disappointed I should have got four or 5. Yeah, I don't think he's going to, I don't think he's going to get 52. I mean, it could happen. I just don't think it will continue to go at that pace. There's a lot stronger teams to be played. Albeit, you know, he easily could bully even if a plain Newcastle, a bot in a Shah, that's going to be a great match up there to excellent center halfs in great form. That's a fantastic bike for. There are so many other fates to be hired, but yeah, I said to you at the Liverpool game and the Caribbean copper said he looks like he needs to get the cobwebs off. And even though he got to, it looked like, again, I mean, the one he had in the first half that the brilliant little ball from de Bruyne and his letter run across him a little bit, but he saw in ten and getting it on his left foot and we had been sort of hypocritical here. He saw intent and getting on his left foot. It's the wrong choice. He has to let it run across his body on his right, and the defender then doesn't get near them. And he's got a cleaner strike to get away. And the one in the second half when he was, again, the great bulk through when he was straight through one and one with Millie. Kenny gets it stuck under his kind of always expect to see that hit the back of my head. A little bit at the moment and it's Kenya, you know, his touch isn't quite there, which seems strange to be saying for a guy who's got to think three goals in the two games bike. After the break, but he has these a little bit rusty. Yeah. That's just, I mean, he's admitted that himself. He said, not bad, rusty. Nobody got especially given that routine. And listen, the truth is, I think the only thing standing in the early holiday and getting to that 50 goal threshold is city successes. We don't wish Rashad on anyone. But if since you go deeper and deeper into the Chapman's league let's say at Pablo, I decide to rotate and we see how the game stack up, given this midseason break

"Start the show with, I'm going to concede that I was wrong. No, I'm not because you know I was wrong. I never contributed. I'm conceding. The statement you made in every year about this box and the fixture list are boxing day call the period fiction list was going to be a bit of a non event. And I think we talked about the games yesterday, which were pretty easy. And this was the same. I mean, the fact that it was three one was only because in the first half and particular, once again, Jack Grealish were talking about end product, even though it got better in the second half. And Erling Haaland individually could have won this game on his own with four or 5, even though he got a brace. Should I hide the easily? I'll give him four. Probably 5. So still blowing the cobwebs off. And I suppose that gave leads a little bit of impetus when Gerhard come on, he could have scored and did a couple of free kicks and that was the only downside, really, but yeah, I mean from what the first minute when Harlan had the chance with the Archibald of the talk, at point that I think any of these games were actually in doubt. Yeah. I totally agree. Listen, you already surprised anything in this game or surprising things without leads with that disappointing. I thought they were really poor at home and that at 44 minutes or still in the middle because up until then it was all one team and as Craig said all Erling Haaland we were chances Jack Grealish in particular. "We'll know after 5 games? Oh, certainly I guess I can only speak for myself. I'm in the main set though of you know he's going to score every time he plays. So now it's home any. It's not is he going to score? That's what I've got on my head. Is he going to score it? How many is he going to score? How ridiculous is this? How many is he going to score this weekend? If he plays. He's going to score. Hey, he's not going to go hard trick. Okay. They make it to, but he'll definitely score. Two. Oh, one. If you push me for an answer, I'll see you one bit. All right. The only reason I say is what if he plays jewels is because there has to be a word on how they're going to manage these minutes for this player. Yeah, and let's not forget that I think he was maybe after the boom with game that pep said that he won't start him in those weeks with three games where you play every three days, which part of me understanding I said of course it makes sense like the briner was on the bench was only against forest and came on for the last 25 minutes. You can do that tomorrow, for example, with Holland. But then when he's in that kind of form, why would you not keep starting him even if you take him off after 15 minutes or 55, he will already ask for 5 goals anyway. So I'm not sure what pimp is going to do in my bench him tomorrow because that the Champions League next week. He might start him and then submit a halftime maybe after an hour or even after 69 minutes like he did against forest and that would be enough because the guy is such a freak and a machine that you can play 69 minutes and then be okay. I don't know, but at some point I think they will have to manage his time. He had a few injuries last season. We don't want which I think was more down to Dorman and their fitness coach and fitness work more than him being fragile physically. But you still in a work up here, even if he doesn't go to the World Cup, you still have to be careful. Okay, so it could be 5, it could be zero according to what we've just heard there. So you never know with erling haaland, it is a risk if you put him in your fantasy team. Anyway, there'll be a lot more to talk about Erling Haaland and all the Premier League fixtures on the next edition of ESPN FC. Remember, we are available daily be sure to always catch us. "No, no, I know. No, no, I'm just saying 18 to 15. That's a huge profit that Brighton would make. I think 40s is value right now. At best. I love this idea though. I would love clubs to be more disciplined about this, not fall in love. I know that Manchester City, whatever value you put on him, if you think he's worth 30 million or 40 million, you go to that level. And if it goes beyond that, you walk away. Same thing with Brighton. This is your value. Because if you say, if you say, if you put 50 million on them, you are saying that he is worth 49.9 million to brighten if he stays. That is how much he adds, right? Yeah, yeah. And that's why you say 50 million. Yeah, it's a poker game. But we Suarez, as a new club, is going back to where he made his debut and national in Montevideo. That's such a lovely story. It's a good story, obviously he's bounced around and he kind of drew it out, but he says, look, I'm home and everything, what I like about this and what I was told was Luis wise obviously had offered from an opportunity to go to molasses. One of the reasons he chose not to now was, and I think this could be an issue for people like Gareth Bale, for example, who went on molasses. Well, when does the MLS season end? A nice season will be ending earlier. And if you sign some minimalized clubs that doesn't make the playoffs or gets knocked out early, he's going to kind of have like a whole month without football before the start of the season. And no, he wants to be sharp because he wants to make the World Cup count, which good for him. Good for Luis Suárez doing a bit of homework, unlike a lot of players who just kind of parachute into MLS. Like somebody I could name, but I won't. I'll save that story for another time. Brazil won the FIFA E sports world cup. Are you impressed tools? And nibble, this has any bearing on what might happen in Colorado. Because I've checked and every time every time the country win the eSports World Cup, then the country, the same country lose, don't win the World Cup. I don't know. I don't know if I'm going to if I'm impressed or not. Well done to them, they're very good at video games in Brazil as well. And I don't think we have any sort of impact on what happens in Qatar for in the real football World Cup. I don't know, but I guess it's a good thing for them, I don't know. Not a new sports guy, I don't know. But I believe they did this under this was like the last eSports World Cup under the name of course. Yeah, really interesting to see. Are they going to do this again? They'll have an eSports World Cup playing some other video game. Ta-da. Interesting. Tough there for biologics, then knocked out of the German cup in the first one by third division side average bag. Yeah, it's a big team. The Big Bang of ecosystem is not only they played the key. It was a big and it was crazy. I think it was three in the end. This was a trophy where they saw it going into the season. We had a shot to do it. I think my man RICO suave gerardo is going to have some things to figure out. It is kind of it does tell you how the cup matters early on. And brutal. Because now it's kind of like, okay, so our season is going to be defined by pressure. Europe and can we make the Champions League and they haven't brought anybody in, but they haven't really sold anybody no. They hung onto their stars. So they were hoping to make that leap forward. Somebody named Paul Stratton came on forever turn to score a penalty in their friendly against dinamo Kyiv. Jules, why do we love this story? We love this story God because port Stratton is a fan, a long life Everton fan who came on, as you said, to take a penny and score it by the way and celebrate in front of the fans as a reward because of all the great charity work he did for Ukraine and the people of Ukraine with his minivan or bust to go and deliver food and all sorts of other things to discover. With chocolate and just give chocolate to people who come through. And then I think it's an incredible story and incredible rewards to him well deserved by the way well done. I guess his dream is to, you know, sometimes at the end of the season you get to play on the page and it's an empty stage. This one was full good insulin was full and he got the ovation that I deserved. So went on to welcome the club in Frank Lampard for allowing it. Really nice touch from everybody. And we have a winner in the wagashi Christi case and it's not Rebecca Vardy. No, it's not a shock. What a shark. No. This whole thing has been an absolute freak show and part of me says I don't want to mock it because obviously one of the people involved Rebecca vardis PRs are supposedly had, you know, she said mental health issues or whatever. Yeah, I think they were a result of some of the bad stuff that happened under her watch. For sure. So you have levels of sympathy and whatever, I hate the fact that Colleen Rooney was kind of forced to go through all this. And I think she was very wise when she said, you know what? Rebecca variety is not going to appeal. When he said, this is kind of a big waste of money. And it was. You only people made money off to talk about it. And lawyers, my favorite people in the world. Who got involved in this? This was a waste of time and money, but I think it had to be done. And let's move on. Hopefully bright and better, but Jules. We're going to come back on Thursday. I'm going to do this all over again. There's a season starting up Bundesliga starting the Premier League. It's starting until

"To the squad gap if the ball is unveiling is anything to go by Roma fans contend themselves. Why incredible scenes where they tend to 15,000 they were? If you haven't seen a video, this is unbelievable. I mean, just getting all these people together, singing songs and stuff. And in the middle of a hot summer in Rome when everybody in Rome, they're all down at the beach, they're all down in it. Awesome. Places like that were like the one working class Romans go, and then the Pasha ones go further afield. No, they all come back to do what to watch. Not christiano to watch polity bottle walk out of a building. They filmed it. It looks so cool. Listen, we've been critical Mourinho, whatever the football, they've improved by one point in the league and one point in the standings or one place in the standings. Last year they reached the year before they reached the Europa League semifinals. This year, they won the Europa conferencing. You could almost say they made it. But you know what? None of it matters. What matters? And this is what I'm starting to understand about Miranda. What matters is getting buy in, getting people ged up, getting people excited because once people believe they can go and achieve more. And he's certainly done all that. Let's see what he does, but by the way, attacking trio, Diwali, Abraham zano, the daz, huh? Huh? It's pretty good. Doesn't it? Now we thought Bordeaux we're headed to the third tier for financial irregularities. We were wrong. So we showed the mercy. There was saved. You know, in French, we have an expression when you say by literally the skin of your bottom. I don't know if in English it works. But this is what happened. Literally, they were saved at the last minute by the almost the last appear that they could go to Macron himself saying, no. Not my cornbread. The whole region, the giron and the MP for the area or everybody getting together. And you are Lopez somehow managing to save them, they start in the charmer, which they drew the first game in front of a sellout crowd at the stadium. So amazing, I don't know, I don't know how well they will do because they could not really sign anyone and things like that. But at least they're in the second division with a chance to grow straight back up. How do they do it? Did somebody who was supposed to replace them in the second division and say, sorry guys, or did you know we've done this in the past in Italy? You know what we did? We just added a team. So we've had like 21 teams and say to be or whatever. No, no one was going to replace them in the second division, basically. Do you have a second division with an odd number of teams? Yeah, yeah. Why? Because I think there was always change if it had been confirmed that they were going down to the third division. And they found a way the investment fund. So fortress and king street to change the way the debt was structured and all of that, I don't know exactly what they did and I think Jean Lopez himself put more money in. He's on money. But I guess the most important for them for the fans. And it's a historical club. You know, you want to see that I'm like this. So by the way, I watch the Anna delvey film on Netflix and I believe fortress were the people who funded the Anna. Bordeaux as well. How to pick what do you think? I'm kidding, we kidding. 'cause we love fortress. Chile, I find another appeal with FIFA over Ecuador and baron Castillo. Remember that story that we told you a few shows ago. They said that they've got evidence that is Colombian and no Ecuadorian. And both he and the accordion federation admitted this in 2016 and 2018, respectively. Was going to happen. They say they also have evidence that he does not have a brother named Byron Castillo with the same name. But spelled differently. Look, I think V four in the top spot because you can apply the letter of the law. And then yeah, it becomes entirely positive. If you would want this to go away, but they come out with so much evidence. There is precedent. To me, it would seem weird and cruel on the balance of the impact that Biden Castillo had. On the other hand, laws are laws. You feel an ineligible player, especially if you do so knowing, I mean, if they can prove that they could organize say knows knew that his papers were falsified, I think there were serious trouble. So again, FIFA would rather not be dealing with, but they have to deal with it in double quick time. Terribly sad story, meanwhile, involving Sebastian all our newly arrived at bursa Dortmund Joseph. Yeah, that's right, God did take testicular cancer. After he signed for the club from my ex during the preseason, it would be out for at least two months, three months. They don't really know exactly to be fair. We see how the treatment goes. You would get he's got the full support, of course, of the club and they said it's going to get the best treatment. But it's such a shock when you when you think you're healthy and you sign in a new club and you're so excited and certainly that happens where it's especially with such a difficult illness as well it's crazy so we wish him the best and as quick as possible recovery and hope to see him on the pitch at some point in the day. This is something that strikes close to home for me, my old colleague and friend, Jason Conde, former longtime Chelsea defender, also been through this. If you are a man who has testicles, please have them checked out regularly. It's common sense. Because this can strike anybody. It's not an age thing. UFO have opened an investigation into the behavior of supporters in the Champions League qualifiers between fenerbahce and Dina mochi. Why is this all about gap? Feeling about your fans allegedly singing songs about how much they love Vladimir Putin is obviously linked to do with the invasion of Ukraine and stuff like that. I don't think and obviously there's bands on discriminatory behavior and there's bands on taking political issues. I don't think you treat this as a political thing. I don't think finner boccia fans are Putin loyalists or people who work for Russia today. I think they're simply trying to wind them up. I don't think it's acceptable. I don't think you joke around. You joke around with war when people are dying and by the way, by the way, this is a part of the other side. If Russia were allowed to compete, people whining people up that way on the other side would be just as wrong too. So I think they need to crack down on this. Definitely. Brighton are reportedly continuing to demand 50 million pounds for Marco Correa and reportedly Manchester City are willing to walk away and they say, no, we got this price there. Makes sense to you? It makes sense that 50 million is too much money for Korea. I think the voting for 18 million that was the release closed at the time. This is a matter what they bought them for. There was a release clause. No, no, I know. No, no, I'm just saying 18 to 15. That's a huge profit that Brighton would make. I think 40s is value right now. At

And so they end up getting a free kick in a very attacking position, which I thought, Danny, if you're watching. Tell us. Tell us. It was meant to do. It's funny because Stevie and Frank on the show last night was like, ah, no way to be that clever. Of course it is. Maybe just speaking for themselves. I don't know exactly. Sticking with buyer and Dave hit back at Robert Lewandowski or Hubert Lewandowski. Actually, he's not that anymore because he's in Catalunya. I need to come up with a Catalan accent for this. For suggesting in an interview that he did with our ESPN colleagues, that somebody at the club did not tell him the truth. What's he talking about? Is the usual push transfer sort of Saigon in a sense that I live under those key said, you know, they were not fair with me. I think this is a way to use something like that and buy and say, hang on a minute. Well, we wanted to keep you and then we finally replacement in such a money and we sold you. It's like back and forth that we usually have, don't we in transfers like that. To a point. To a point, because it was great when he lasted and now they can move on. I'm going to give everyone endoscope a bit of it out here. I think the reason he wanted to come out and say this in the way he did was, I think he cares about the 8 years that he had there. And he wanted to send a message to the fans and say, guys, it wasn't me agitating. It was them not being truthful as well, right? Yeah. All these things coming together. But hey, it is what it is. And Barcelona have supposedly given Frankie the young, another ultimatum. They want him to accept the move too much to the united, but they don't have that much leverage, do they? No, they have zero leverage because the man has a contract. I have to laugh when they say like, oh yeah, these are your alternatives. Either take a big pay cut or move from Manchester United. And he's like, he sits there and he says, hey, look, I got a contract. I got lawyers, you know? It's as simple as that. I think at some point, I used to be obviously there's an issue with was deferred wages, which are owed to him. I'm sure united can make up that amount, but ultimately it's not a great look for anybody involved, and ultimately, you know, if you're united, I think about sending Sir Alex Ferguson told me that he likes to tell players. The money will come to you if you wait. Don't make it in that money. So you would hope united could go to Deon and say like, dude, just come over here, except what it is, we'll give you what we can now. You do well, we sign another contract. I'm the money will come to you. A few united. Clearly doesn't want to go. Otherwise, you would have gone already, right? I don't know if you want to go or if you just want to get paid. I pay the money over. Which again is legit. Again. By the way. Did you like the stories? I love something that counts on media. Oh yeah. They need to move the young so that they can sign Bernardo so Miguel, because Bernardo Silva, hey, maybe they will sign Bernardo soma, but like, all right, hello. Whatever. Speaking of united and I suspect we'll be talking about this weekend. How about christiano and all those early exit from the friendly economy? I mean, he played the first 45 minutes. This was his hardly trained with them before and never played in precision because he was exempted from the tour on family reasons. Had no short on target, missed a big chance, then he's coming off a half time. I'm a Jell-O comes in for him, and then he lives before the end with joko dala before the end of the game when ten hag is clearly asked all the players to be there for the last friendly before the season starts. Our traffic is right in front of all the fans. It's not a good look. Maybe it was allowed to go out of the club but the club hasn't responded to any of the requests. That's the thing. If he was allowed to go, they were in the club would kill it and just say like, yeah, it's basically a commenting on the fact that if you want to leave so badly, it's not a good look, right? I think in the end, it's a mutually beneficial if you leave. It's a question of tweaking the terms, finding the right amount. I think would necessarily have to let them go in a free, whether on loan or a permanent move. And I think he's going to have to take less money at his next club. And I see no other solution. As well. And thinking about a replacement too, because guys, even if he stays, it's marcian rashford. Expiring contract. John decker today is expected to arrive in Milan today. The neat guy? They're so excited. I'm so sweet. It's such a single minded pursuit, by the way, he had a bit of a de young situation with unpaid wages, deferred wages as well. Yeah, I think they need somebody in that role. I know you're a very high on him. If it's the profile. Yeah. So I don't think it's a Late Show Jules, but I should stop all over not. Super Cup, which is called the trophy de champ. Yeah, what a non champion of something of the cap. But both theater Messi and especially New York Fuego. All in flag. This means that they don't really need and play. It was suspended because of yellow cars at the end of the last season, the ligand season. But it was so good to see the three four two one if you want. We saw a replacing Mbappé that works really well messy was on fire was so good namer, great freaky. After missing his previous 41 or 47, I think it was. The movement was great. It was all very promising for our first game. I know it's only not, and it's only the confidence champion. Oh, and the showtime end of it. How could I forget before that? Come on. Amazing. It was really good. Thomas Tuchel says that right now Chelsea already for the start of the primary season is really worried. But hopefully there will be in a week's time. Is it just being honest? Yeah, it's just being honest. He's worried though. It's factual. They lose out on angel kunda. Yeah, he should be worried. They have two older central defenders. Maybe they'll go for fun. Maybe they won't. Maybe we'll be able to get him. I mean, if it's 70 million, I think Lester, you got on that and go. I mean, I think it's madness. But I didn't want to put the money on for kimbap. Let's see if they do it for the final. I got to warn you to who's running the show there is really interim sporting director Tom boley. It is. That's not a good way to go into season. And they got to sell a lot of players too as I see it. Juventus had high hopes for the season, but the injury to Paul Pogba was a hammer blow. He's a very tough decision ahead. Yeah, it's an injury, which is bad. He looked good on training from what we saw. And then that's a huge blow for him. It might not make the work up. We don't really show exactly when he could be back 2023. It depends. Yeah. And if he gets surgery or not on that knee, it's a real shame because he was so excited and so happy to be back and this is a huge blow in terms of injury. We said, it's been a long, long list lately.

"This is such an extra load of work and fitness and everything that if you give him the same preparation and pre season fitness work as masala, in my explode by beginning of November or through the World Cup. So you clearly maybe you can put much more load on what sala has been doing in precision and now in the start of the season, then someone is going to go to the worker and thus the luxury that I think all the clubs who know who's going to go to the World Cup and who isn't will have in terms of fitness work and preparation for those players, especially the likes of Salah of like, okay, so we can push now because you will have that month off in November to meet December for trend. If you push too early and too much, then you risk losing him to injuries at some point. It's not just the injury aspect. I think it's just purely the fitness thing. Yeah, I think we care about you. You are going to have a dip. Well, you can go all out. It can go balls to the wall. The scientists say, and then take two weeks of total relaxation. It's actually the first part of the World Cup. And then come back. And then I then go and Jack it up again. You can carry them. Yeah. Not even that many actually give it away. So beyond that, I thought, I don't Liverpool look good. When new year's came on, I was really, so some of the concern we mentioned expected goals of four Nunez is somebody who said, has also way outperformed his expected goals. In the one I wanted to score a ton of goals. So some people were like, man, but then I look at it and I said, if this guy never scores, he still contributes so much. I thought his movement. I saw off the ball. I thought he was unselfish as a physical presence and so on. You know, people are going to say, oh, who's going to replace Manny's goals? Well, obviously Salah and somebody else, but you've got that. You've got different people can chip in, but honestly, he doesn't need to be a massive goal scorer for Liverpool to be an important part of that of that front three. I think it can offer you other things. And by the way, it's going on his debut, like Van Dyck, Salah and Manny and the club is pretty good, I think. And but it's all the rounds is depressing and the counter pressing, the physicality as well. So even if he doesn't score, he will contribute by, I don't know, taking two defenders out of mussel's wife for example or coming and helping with Diaz on the left hand side are making room for one of the midfielders, not that they run too much towards the box. Anyway, but you know that kind of stuff. I think he will help you with that. I have to say, I was surprised how sharp he was, how in the rhythm it was, how the whole thing looks so simple. It looks like if he played with them for much longer than he actually has. And I didn't take too much negative from his friendly matches and some of the touches that he had, and I think again, when you work out, club was right at the end of the game. When he said, you know, you look and you don't think how tired the player can be. And if he misses one touch, one controller two control it doesn't become a bad player. But to say, I was so impressed by the half hour that he had in that game. All right, I'm going to set a little task for each of us, and I've already thought of mine, so you can think about it when I get my answer. No team is perfect. Let's identify I'll identify weakness for Liverpool this season. And you identify weakness for city. I'm going to go first and I'm not going to be imaginative on this. To me, the potential weakness that the thing that could undo them this season, like last season, is the middle of the park. I think I'm saving the obvious here. I don't know how many minutes how many games shot I can that I can give you based on based on his track record based on the past. He's going to have a World Cup and whatever. I'm not sure, and obviously Jordan Henderson is now another year older. I know you're not the biggest Henderson fan. And I don't I'm not sure if fabinho has a natural replacement. I'm told Fabio carvalho can play anywhere. I think Kate is in a contractual situation. Maybe he'll be more. Who? Harvey, Elliot sit again. I mean, again, was I really, I like seeing him, I love his attitude, he's a guy who was a forward. Most of his life, right? Winger. And then by time you think that we converted Trent got reconverted, right? So that's fine. But then it just feels like there is a bit of a drop. And I'll be really curious to see how they deal with it during the season. I'd love to know their mindset. Maybe he's just I know you've watched Fabio carvalho and play anywhere. Can he play midfield? Is it a Harvey Elliott? I need a bit of time. It's not ready to play now for it seem like that in midfield. That's Curtis Jones about to be back. Go back to being the party. We said the same thing. I do love him a lot, so we hope, yeah, we hope you pull it a thread and that might be the only sort of evident potential weakness that I can see. Yeah, I agree. For city, I didn't give you much time, but I'm sure you've thought about this. I still think that defensively there would be there would be gaps that behold to pick from opposition, especially item like Liverpool who can hit you so quickly on the council, it's like, and that's why they're vulnerable. With the board they are amazing. And they would score touring off goals and everything, but when they lose it, as we saw by Liverpool, and if you've got players, we can play in quick transition forward, they would struggle concealer with struggle, walker has the pace to recover pretty much everything, but I'm not sure about just Laporte and AKA stones at the four center bags. Again, how well did we do with the super high line? And I think that that could be that could be. And this is about the defenders. This isn't something you're going to solve by saying, oh, look, let me play Calvin Phillips with roger. And then there's two of them, because it's not about stopping them. It's not about shielding the defense. And attacking my team anyway. So they would receive three at the back as an option. I don't think so. I don't think so. It'd be interesting to see what could corella brings. I think it can really come. If kukura comes, then because it played as a third center back with bright and last season, and I think you can offer you a hybrid back four by three maybe. I was talking about it to be fair. And then you play, you can play concealer as well, and you can, it's interesting. It'd be interesting, but I think that's where it could be an issue. I think and this is a theme that we're going to talk about more. I'm not going to even do it. So it's just a little foreshadowing. But do you know what the average age, according to the reference website I looked at? Of Manchester City is. 27.3. Okay. Which feels a little high. And I'm wondering if, I mean, obviously they do want to go young. It's not an aging team by any stretch. But I think a year from now, that's going to be a big summer where we're going to start necessarily seeing pep sticks around and I assume you will. This team get younger or obviously Sterling leaving I think is a part of that too. Trying to get more that younger talent trying to get a little bit younger.

"I think this is a good situation for him to grow. I don't think he feels the pressure of things at the right environment. I think if you're a city fine, you can be bullish about it. He could go another two or three games without scoring and this everything's going to be fine. He's outperformed XG every single season for his career, not by a little but by a lot. So I think those people who think they're being club and they say, oh look, the last time he had a giant Nordic striker, everything fell apart. So I'm going to talk about E bread Barcelona. So everything fell apart to the degree that Barcelona only won La Liga that season was 2009 ten. And they came within a goal of reaching another Champions League Final in the year of the volcano ash and Marina. And all this stuff. So by the way, it wasn't quite the unmitigated disaster. But you also operated with a real center forward, like Robert Lewandowski and did pretty well at Bayern, I think. Aguero slightly different profile of player, but also very much a central striker. So this is nonsense, right? Yeah, I think so. I didn't want that to be fed before the game if pep would start hard. I did wonder if maybe he would just start with the first number unless Silva and then gradient marais, for example, or something like that. And then easy mean in the game for the last half hour, maybe when Van Dyck and Matty might be more tired or something like that, I did wonder, I was not sure it would start a 100%, for example. And ten for Darwin, I, you know, I was like, okay, maybe club we started maybe once. I assume club wanted to play the guys who kind of got in there and stuff. And maybe you maybe you start more hardened than you start more Darwin also with the options that you have. I don't know, but yeah, I agree with you. I don't think there's too much to worry. I think alfi haaland scored his first goal for city against West Ham, which is the first team that erling would play against in the Premier League or something like that. So there might be destiny around the corner anyway as early as this weekend coming. But I don't think there's much to worry. He looks frustrated, which is good because clearly he was not happy with his own performance and with himself. So there's still plenty of time. And again, it's a slow start for city as usual. Look at KDB to a certain extent. They were not as sharp as Liverpool. So I don't think there's much to learn. Get up Bernardo Silva also struggled a little bit relative to the standard that he said at times last season. Concealer is not an issue. There's a quick hits later we'll be talking about Mark Cooper. And whether this is a must sign or what? I don't have an issue with the number 7 though. I just does a new ride guy. It doesn't look like I know it's sometimes more as a creator and an attacking player than I left back or right back. But seeing him with that number 7, I don't know it was a bit weird. I was like, oh, no, I'm not sure I like that. You know, it's funny. I'll digress a little. I did a column earlier this summer. There's a company called soccer, which they did this big. But they kind of said, let's rethink football is rethink traditional positions, not by where people play, but by what they actually do on the pitch. And they kind of created 14 rules on the pitch and some of them have silly sounding names, like one to one explorer, and box a box raiders. And using analytics, they put people in each kind of bucket. And Joe cancelo is among the highest rated in the wide creator bucket, but also in the central creator bucket, which is, which is why maybe the number 7 shirt is appropriate for him. And maybe it's just I don't know, he looked a bit strange, but that's how I get used to it. I may also be like, you know, you're up against most often. It's not going to be like that every week. So you're okay there with that's not a concern. I thought Ruben Diaz also, not just a penalty, but I thought was pretty rocky for him. Yeah, and I think if you play next to anything, again, no offense is a good player, but he's not to the level of a Ruben Diaz or even la Porte. I don't know what's going on with stones. Since that fantastic season I had been clearly number this is number four choice. When you think of the as la Porte, then I know I can left footed and stone is rough with it, but stones are just easily player on the left hand side of the two center backs. I don't know what's wrong with stones, but yeah, I didn't think that defensively city without good for maybe walker. I did also think that the narrative was like all Liverpool were much better team. I don't think there was much between the two teams because once Liverpool started so well the first 20 minutes and city had some really good chances. The brain should have watching the game again last night before the show today, that changed the brain hearts in the first half. It's a huge challenge. The side knitting. Yeah, it's a huge chance, really high chance. So there are plenty of really strong chances to score that goal and the first half they are the higher expected goals than Liverpool. And the second half, they had really good spend in that second half too. So I don't think there was much between the two teams, certainly not a three one defeat for city. No, I think what drove on the point to me. And again, I haven't seen spurs yet. But right now, there is still an absolute math isn't abyss between Liverpool and city and the rest of the Premier League. So before we get to the award on Julian Alvarez, I expected him to play wide anywhere to him in Harlem play together. I think he gives spend out of option. And he took his goal well, not really sure what trend is doing on the goal because he obviously there's a doubt on Foden's position and if he's upside and all and then further and hits the volley and then there's the same Adrian and then Alvarez on the second phase. Scores a trend. If you look at it again, trend looks at the linesman when the ball is still in play behind it pretty much. So then he turns and see how virus reacting and then he goes, I'm not sure if Trump can do better. I thought that. Actually might have been a foul on the keeper following others because they looked like you might have had both hands on the ball, but I mean, marginal community shield, nobody cares. Liverpool. Yeah. Let's take Darwin Nunez to one side. He started for me, which I think makes sense for me. Contractors expiring. He said he doesn't want to go anywhere. He's been linked. I think it makes sense to keep him around because he's very different from the other strikers. If he's happy to stay, if he shows his fitness, he gets more years. It's kind of like the Milner principle, if you will, except he's younger. I thought I was just shocked by how fit and how sharp most Salah is at this stage. I'm not a fitness coach, as you can tell. But I do talk to fitness coaches. And a lot of times, different players get different situations, different moments in the season. You can't maintain that level the whole the whole year round. I mean, weird as it seems, like, should we take it, should there be any concern that he's going at this level this early? So this is my theory, and it might be completely wrong. When Liverpool and the club and his fitness coach and technical staff prepare the preseason, right? They go individually, okay, this is trans program. By the way, I thought trends. I was like, wow, wow, wow, he clearly worked in the preseason. So they go individually. With mosala, there's no World Cup. So maybe the heavy precision and heavy fitness work that you can give him now is okay, because if he picks now or between now and beginning of November, for example, it's okay, 11 month rest. I think he can top up. Exactly. That's a really good idea. Someone who's going to go to the World Cup and let's say let's say like a trial, for example, he's going to put every game with England at the World Cup and they go to the semiconductor to the final or the wind and blah blah. This is such an extra load of work and fitness and everything that if you give him the same preparation and pre season fitness work as masala, in my explode by

I decided to go with my little Cooper Cup at four for two reasons. Number one is, as you mentioned, it's the first mock of the season. Kind of wanted to see how my team would turn out if I went wide receiver in the first round. Number two is and this is something we're going to talk about with Cooper Cup throughout this off season, which is he edit monster year, a record breaking year, like literally a record breaking year. And so obviously we expect some regression. He can regress quite a bit and still be worth the number one wide receiver in fantasy football. "The best league to go to. It's the top team in that league and it's the team in contention for trophies every single season. And beyond that, I mean, there are two other factors with it. One, you could roll your eyes at, but you talk about romanticism. His father played for that club, so maybe there is some sort of kind of feeling within him about some kind of bond. Sorry, Andrew, but when we spoke to Jan Agatha, who was close to team Holland. And this was a team effort, including the recently departed Mina raiola. This was going to be a football that's true. And a very much an all around football decision, which is why, which is why the second point for me is probably even more so. Like the fit for him to go there, Manchester City are arguably, I mean, now with them out of the Champions League it becomes a little more arguable, but we still kind of look at them as the best team in the world. And they've managed to be that without really having a true striker. If Holland wants to go elsewhere, if he wants to go around Madrid, okay, well, there's talk of Mbappé going there. But if Holland were to go there, that would probably mean in BAPE is not. But Kareem Benzema right now is the man at that club. He's going to probably win the Ballon d'Or. Like, they'll play together, but is that as natural fit as he might want? I don't know. Like Manchester City, they have this spot just like beckoning for someone to come and please be this guy for us. We've managed to win without it because we're gifted and we've got maybe the greatest manager on the planet, but we'd like to have someone do this. It's arguably the most important position that there is in this game. So just from a purely footballing sense, like you said, like you laid out a, they're a great team. The league has high profiles it gets, but the need for someone like him is, I mean, it's glaring. So I think I really think it makes sense on every level. And I know people don't love it because it's going to cut back significantly and a league that's already starting to hurt in a way in the way of parody. This hurts that even more. I believe, but it does make sense. I understand why this would be his choice. And I don't necessarily fault him for it. He's netted 85 times for Dortmund and just 88 games. A precise ratio of point 9 6 goals per game. 61 goals and 66 Bundesliga games. 15 goals and 13 Champions League matches. In a bad Champions League team. It goes in 7 DFB portal games and one goal and two German super cope appearances. Look, he's brilliant. And it's depressing for a lot of other clubs that city can have the wherewithal to go and do these things. I talked about some of the negative reaction. I had a Joss mayor football, which is the leading soccer magazine in Norway, had this to say, Erling Haaland has publicly emerged as a supporter of human rights. Now he assigned for a club owned by individuals and a regime that could not care about very basic human rights. And this we should rejoice for, question mark. It's like calling the Qatar World Cup a folk festival. So that's translated from Norwegian obviously, but that's the other side to it as well. We've seen the stance that the Norwegian Football Association that some Norwegian players, including highland have taken over the Qatari World Cup and this transfer does fly in the face of that. But on the other side, the argument you could make is that where else is highland going. The options are hugely limited, Manchester United, and the race for Holland were there. I would say they were there at the end of last season. It was still a possibility that they could do it. They've since shot themselves in the fort and set themselves on fire and completely taken themselves out of that race. Barcelona, the precise funding of the club. We don't understand Real Madrid, like you've pointed out, Benzema, plus and bappy. Plus halland, does that work? And then after that, Chelsea can't sign him. Liverpool probably wouldn't sign him. He would not be in their model. I mean, the other one was PSG. He's not going to go to France. Why would he probably go to an inferior league from when he's calm? Yeah, I mean, Bayern is the one where you could say, okay, maybe. But, you know, didn't seem likely. It seemed as if. And Lewandowski, the thing that is questionable there is Lewandowski's future. Like if he leaves, then I could see Byron really kicking into high gear wanting to have gotten him and maybe that will play out, but it is depressing though how limited the options for top players are now when you are oh dude, we go through this exercise every time a great manager becomes available. We say, well, there's really only four clubs where he can coach at Lee. It's crazy. That's sort of how this sport has become, and it is kind of sad. Yeah. But so that's some of the reaction to it. And you know, to JJ, you mentioned Manchester United. There's a couple of things that were interesting for me regarding that. I was reading. There's a great piece at ESPN FC, I think it's rob Dawson who authored it. And he talks about united and the interest there and a couple of things that happen with that. One, you know, his relationship with sole Shire and whether or not his firing completely destroyed any chance of Holland deciding to go and play there because there was some belief that that if Holland was going to choose then it was going to have to be because of that relationship. Because in terms of what was going on behind the scenes or on the field, you couldn't really make the argument that united are the appealing choice right now. So when Seoul Shire was fired, did that mean the end of this pursuit? There are those that say that that didn't really have any bearing on this. Who knows if that's true or not? I guess we'll never really know. And the other thing that adds just like a cruel twist to this almost, so in this piece where they talk about how Holland is now going to city, city we're able to help fund this, partially because I'm reading here by coincidence the €12 million paid to Manchester City as part of Jadon Sancho's move to Old Trafford. Courtesy of a clause inserted part of his move from the Etihad to Dortmund in 2017 helped city quickly put together the financial framework needed to eventually secure Holland. So in some ways, Manchester United partially funded Manchester City's ability to buy erling Holland. A player that Manchester United would have loved to have had. That is just a cruel slap to the face from one city rival to the other. I'm sure there's financial there's financial particles to this that I can't see or understand, and even though I love dancing on the grave of Manchester United. No. But I'm not, I'm not buying that that I don't buy that at all. That city that city needed any help. Getting the money together for this. I mean, it's just, that's not possible. And another thing that was pointed out about Manchester City is the kind of position they find themselves in now is that we know the article in der Spiegel and the documents lining out specifically how they have become the richest club in the world through revenue. So I guess when you report that this is all the money you have, you have to spend it. You know, otherwise there's some kind of disconnect. All right, you have all this money, but and Citi, it's either one of two things. They've decided, look, everybody knows how we do this now. Everybody knows what we are. Let's just lean into it. Nobody's going to love us. Nobody's going to take us as seriously as one of the elite level clubs, one of the storied clubs were a new money club. Let's just lean into it. Splash that money around. And buy the best players and go for it. And that seems to be what they're doing. So my question to you to close out on this portion of the discussion, I mentioned at the top of this how there will be fans of this league who will be disappointed by this because of what it means to the parody of this league. Manchester City are already great, but Liverpool have been right there with them step for step, pushing them in a way that pretty much no one else has in the Premier League. Can that continue? Or does it move like this? Even though it's only one player and city, maybe there will be players out the door. We already know fernandinho's leaving, which is important. Ken Liverpool keep pace or even get ahead of them, or does this just widen a gap to a point where it's almost not fair? I should include Chelsea in this conversation. I mean,.

"Be joining us for the latest edition of extra time. Make sure you do too. Thanks so much for being with us on ESPN FC. We'll be back. Tomorrow, Dan Thomas will be with you. See you then. Welcome to the latest edition of extra time. Julian Laurent Jan agusti out of and Stevie Nicola here to answer your questions. January psychologist on team highland, we've established that once so far have been loving hearing from the interview all week, but we'll get into it with these questions and we start with one for you, Stevie. Should Liverpool switch to a back three and have trends and robo as wingers, the back three would be Virgil Van Dyke mutti and konate. Absolutely not. I mean, what? Why fakes was not broken. You know, one of the reasons and applies to Robinson. I've been asked this question about Alexander Arnold more than robots. Why would you not push him followed up the field? Well, the reason you don't push him further up the field to start with, is because he comes late. And so when it comes late, it gets more time on the ball. So when you're playing with the back four, and you've got both him and Robertson, that's why they get to deliver so many great balls because they come late and that gives them more time to get the head up and either pick a sport or pick out a player. So, hey, in broke, don't fake it. Do you agree with that jewels? Yeah,.

"Cards rescinded. He has praised var afterwards, saying it did his job properly. Let's look back on those moments. So in the 25th minutes in this game, it was a strong tackle from the goalkeeper. Well, Alice includes the ball, Alison has only eyes for the ball and follows through. And the fact that the forward is so late and coming across them means that there's not quite enough they shouldn't even have been a foul. It was a straight red, but it was checked and changed to a yellow, and then we see this very late on. And this was a bit of a crazy moment in itself, or in stoppages. Again, Alison gets to the bolt with the key as Alison on both occasions has gotten to the bowl first comfortably. And then the forward has run into him. And the reason the forward has been caught, the first one with the book, and the second one with the first, is because he's come running and lead. You know, I'll give you a great example. If I'm a fallback and I'm playing a ball down the lane and the forward comes across and a player and he hits me, you know, you don't give a card to the fill back, do you? I think two similar positions. Alison has played the ball, and then the opposition has made contact with him. So two great decisions from the referee. So that's you and Allison happy with the referee in that game. You do feel load Jill's at Ecuador a bit unlucky in this match. Well yeah, if you just look at it on the paper, they're going to keep being sent off for I mean, I think you could have easily chopped my tables cuny as heads on that challenge, even if there's a slight touch on the ball first. And then I think in a Valencia played in really well with Alison on the first red card for Alison in the sense that he knows that he's not going to get to the border tour a lacuna in the other incidents. And then he knows that once I listen to this kick to the way, I listen has to bring his leg down. If he goes underneath, then obviously there would be contact. And I think the referee, you could see why you get a bit red straight away. And then once he's reviewed, I think he's a yellow for sure. But yeah, he went very frustrated in the end. They got a gold that I think counts a lot for them. They solidify that third place in the table. And it would have been unfair for them I think to lose the game on the back of all those incidents with red cars and van everything. So I think the draw Indian was good for them, even if it had been sent off after 26 minutes, maybe the rest of the game would have been different, but still, I think all around it was the right course from the referee. Yeah, it never missed a common ball qualifies. There's always some drama to talk about. And of course, lots of good football to be seen too. Tuesday's schedule looks like this Bolivia taken on chili, Uruguay Venezuela, Argentina will take on Columbia let's see if they can finally score a gold Brazil Paraguay and Peru against Ecuador and there's more.

"Latest business and health headlines. GMA, the podcast available for free wherever you listen. Let's bring the latest on combo qualifies the table now it looks like this Columbia really having some struggles that was not the result that they wanted and obviously Brazil and Argentina already through equatorial pretty much had given, but look at the battle that is going on there, Peru putting themselves in pole position with a very important win on the night. Julian Lauren here to talk to us about that game. Tell us a bit more about it. Yours, I know you saw a lot more closely than we did Columbia against Peru. We are in Colombia, really something not going well for them. I mean, it's the 6th games in a row without scoring, which is Thai board when you think about it. It's so much talent going forward. Radar, not finding the right formula to make them click. I think tonight they could have played for ten hours and they would not have scored. And yeah, Stevie's right or spinner has to do better on the Peru goal, but it was always going to happen. You could sense it during the game. The Colombian players were getting frustrated, not creating. It's not even that they had tons of chances they had nothing that didn't create anything they had a lot of the ball. It was too slow. The ball moving was too slow. There was a shoes lack of creativity, Hamas was holding on the board for too long and Falcao is 35 and he's having a decent season in La Liga with royal volcano, but again he's not the falcon that we knew ten years ago, for example, especially when the service is not there and the service certainly wasn't there tonight with the as we've mentioned with his move to Liverpool was disappointing as well and maybe that played a little bit on his mind, but certainly Colombia far from the best. And they can still qualify, of course, there's three games to go for everybody. We're so in the table that I so tight between fourth and 7th really, but tonight again like he's been in the last few games, not good enough from Colombia. I know you're saying there that they can't still qualify. It seems so unfathomable. 6 games without a goal for Colombia with what you've seen, are you confident that they can make it to the World Cup? Of course, it's possible, but something will have to change. Are you changing the formation? I don't know, but something rather has to find something now. He's quite new in this position. He has been quite difficult for him and certainly those last 6 games have been shocking. I guess Argentina and Brazil. Okay, you can understand. But you can't, you can't play Peru tonight. And again, that you know you're under pressure because Uruguay have won, because you know that if you lose to Peru, Peru will go even more above you. So this is again that they had to win really. And for them to be so disappointing with the ball and then go like that. Beating them in the last few minutes of the game is so disappointing that they really need for the next game in a few days time. They need the reaction. They need to show something more like Uruguay. Also we're on the back of a terrible run of bad results. And yet, the best game in a long time in that mushroom game against Paraguay. Yeah, we're going to go back to the game between Brazil and Ecuador now that we do have Stevie with us because we want to go back to what happened to Allison in this game. Two red cards rescinded. He has praised var afterwards, saying it did his job properly. Let's look back on those moments. So in the 25th minutes in this game, it was a strong tackle from the goalkeeper. "In fact, he's said to be Jürgen Klopp's number one target right now. Julian Lauren here to talk about the player was the latest on this move then Jules. Well, the latest is that the talks are well ongoing, very positive between the two clubs that Louis Diaz wants to join Liverpool. He's currently with Colombia. We saw him losing against Peru tonight. He could do his medical back in Colombia. While he's there with the national team and Chinese contract with Liverpool, someone that they've been looking at for months and months now, this is not something unlike Tottenham that has just happened that is in an offer to portal. He's a player that had been following the old data that they had that they gathered on him. It just points perfectly to the kind of play that he that first Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp so well. So he wants to go the two crabs and very nearing an agreement for the deity. He had a release because of €90 million, Liverpool will get him for much less than that. And I think very soon Louis the years will be a Liverpool player. As it seemed as though Liverpool had abandoned plans to bring in players in this January transfer window, this has got to be good news for them. If they do get a play like this, Stevie, listen, this guy's exceeding. I think you have to look at the situation with Salah as well. At some point, Liverpool have to replace money on sale. And this is a guy. And there aren't many in world football that you think are you can believe could actually step in right now and actually produce because this guy right now is in the form of his life in my opinion. And he's only going to get better. If that support the profile, 60 million, just exactly the way that they got money, similar type of age. Same with someone, goal scorers, excitement, you talk about peace. I mean, this guy has got peace to bomb. He has every single thing that Klopp has in his team right now. So if you bring something to Herman, absolutely fantastic. If you're a Liverpool fan. You talk about replacement. Salah hasn't scientists contract yet Jules. Is this potentially Jürgen Klopp looking at his replacement? Of course, and even if Salah signs the font three, female money and seller will vary from being the 30s. 25 with DS is 25. This is the next cycle now, even if you allow the phone three staying another season, for example, whatever you need, you need at some point to get younger players in your team because money and salad won't be one last forever. Of course. So you bring them in and we saw already the impact on this team. And I think with the U.S. would be exactly the same. Stevie is spot on. He's got all the qualities to be he's such a clock player and such a current Liverpool style of football player that he will fit in so well. And then and then when you're in a much stronger position, either you sign in our terms or we already have, not just one, but now two players capable of replacing you at least on the page is not going to score as many goes as Salas throw away, but certainly I think Liverpool would be a bit more comfortable to deal with the most sad situation whether he signs or not stays or not because they will have people that can replace him. It's a Liverpool set to get this player. Is this going to be another one that got away for spurs? Their transfer window in January turning out, not the way they would have hoped Jules. Absolutely nightmare for them. Diaz was one of the targets. And again, I was told that they were ready to raise the offer. The first offer that I made was really, really low. I mean, we're talking 40 million. Which I think both in their face, but they were ready to match the Liverpool offer. The problem is, is that Liverpool had that relationship with Diaz and his agent because they've been following him for so long working on a potential deal for so long and he is he wants to go to Liverpool and spurs just arrived out of nowhere with that offer and I don't think that's how you do business either. And so losing all these days losing on other metro area, who decided to go to Boston and I also because supposed to cook very long time to increase the first offer to the second offer towards afterwards rejected the first half of 15 million. And even from Casey, who contributes very, very keen on for the summer, seems that he's not going to choose suppose either. So far is a very, very difficult transfer window. They will sign players. Someone like, I'm Robert. I think we'll sign close key. I think we'll come from Juventus as well by certainly not the first choice. Yeah, so obviously with the reinforcements, they are getting more to put the point, the ones that missed out on. Do you think they're still going to make the top four joules? I.

Harry Kane Tells Tottenham Hotspur He Wants to Leave

"The news breaking in the uk skysports reporting. Joel's harry kane has told spurs. He wants to leave in the summer. Don he's been confirmed now by by people at the club. The hurricane is now officially handed transfer request but made donna. Livia where he wanted to leave. The cemetery was hoping that the club will go. There could be a quick transfer. Hopefully being all done before the start of the euros which is obviously very ambitious and very optimistic but we intend signs before in what hurricane. We're seeing certain interview saying let's see where i am next season. Let's hear the end of the season. One gonna do next. Those kinds of signs are maybe before i think. He's lost patients in in in waiting for trophies spurs maybe not fitting for everything that is given to the club. The club has giving him back teams around him that could go and win and challenge trophy china's premier league titles and others. He came very close. Many times lost all those finals. And maybe now he felt it was better fame to move away from spurs and continuous carrier. Some words let's money. Let's talk contract yours. How much is he going costs. And who can afford him so hurricanes got three years left on his current contract. Uh spurs he turns. Twenty eight at the end of july and the price is pretty straightforward. I think he's one hundred and fifty million pounds. This is why it is the problem our weekend and his agent with harvey's right don't want to send to any other english clubs no rival clubs the only idea for them if they were to go and it's someone could pay. That fee will be only to a foreign club and again abrode. There's not many clubs right now. We can afford became the g. Probably one of them. I guess by an munich you really wanted to. But now we live on skiing team run madrid if they can get the money together maybe one. Oh wait for erling haaland for example. Don't have the money for sure right now. So options are limited outside of the uk and in the uk. We know that she made contacts with hurricanes agent. But it could be. A problem is i. Don't want to sent to them.
