"Tell you f l A 6 42 on and Tampa Bay. He's Jack Harris on there. And Jacobson. She is Katie Buccino. Something here that came during the pandemic to the state of Florida is here to stay now, Governor, Rhonda Santas. Jack yesterday signed that bill to make to go alcohol sales permanent here in the state of Florida. I found a very appropriate that governor two Santas. He signed the bill at Hooligans, a Sports bar and grill in Ormond Beach with other locations in Volusia County. But he signed that bill at hooligans, and we saw that executive order last March at the beginning of the pandemic, and that freed up the bars and restaurants to offer Alcohol take out her delivery orders, which we thought we heard a couple months ago that it might be here to stay. Now it is officially permanent. So, according to the new beverage, lost certain food establishments and vendors they can sell and deliver certain alcoholic beverages for consumption off the premises. Under certain circumstances, That's not going to go into effect until July. 1st Jack, I wonder how many people are going to take advantage of this new? Well, it's people getting food to go on. Of course, it was a much bigger, bigger deal when the pandemic was at its height. Now that the pandemic is any more more people are going to restaurants and heating there, but it would have been a much bigger thing toe have several months ago when people were getting Food to go and you couldn't go into restaurants and all of that stuff, but it's a good thing because people wanna if they're getting food to go, they might want to have a drink with her. Have a beer with or something like that. Did you take advantage of it at all? Either of you during the pandemic? I did. I got a margarita. Once from just like one drink. I gotta Margon Margarita Gallon. Really? Yes. From glory days. I was me. That's funny. A lot of people glory days were the ones that had the huge margaritas to go like a milk jug. It was amazing. I think I'll take advantage of it. When I saw this headline yesterday, I thought it was gonna be like Vegas where they have like the drive through liquor. Things like you can go drive through and get a strawberry margarita. But that's not the case in Florida. You have to be having food. I think to get the thing. Can't just go and pick up a Marguerite. I think you have to get food as well. So little different or something like a margarita makes sense. If I'm just going to get a regular drink a cocktail. I'm gonna make that at home. I don't know how to make a margarita. So if I could get one delivered to me, or I can go pick it up. That makes a lot of sense. But I think for regular alcoholic beverages, you know, just typical beers and Maybe cover, you know, mixed drinks. People are gonna do that at home. I got plenty of beer at home. Yeah, you get it to go down kind of cool for like picnics. If you were gonna go like, get some food and go like said at the beach or something, and it may be beach, not the best place, but if you were going to go sit somewhere any. It's nice that you can also grab a drink and you don't have to like take appears on the beach. I mean, that's why I said the beach might not be the best example. Plus, I'm thinking about saying getting in my food, but I mean, people have picnics all over the place. Who doesn't take out Call the beach. Let's be honest here, Right? Let's be fair about it, Not me. Beverages still cannot be open containers on that note. Yes. Oh, but that bill once again That law goes into effect on July 1st. It's 6 45 on and Tampa Bay. Time to check in and see what's making news. Now we, Chris drink mint. We got somebody on the line here who was going to bring up something that I was planning to bring up with you here at the beginning of our segment, and that would be See Chris in Tampa's got a comment to make on the big parade coming up today, huh? Yeah, I'm a little upset that you know, I'm a lifelong bucks fan, and I'm just finding out about this now. I think this is Bush league move by our mayor, because she doesn't want people showing up. I mean, I'm just finding out about this now how much you have to get my son out of school and make arrangements for work. This is ridiculous to have this on a Wednesday on one o'clock, I'm just I'm baffled by this. You know, That's something we brought up earlier that there's so many people that are not going to be able to come and watch this thing. Because it's Wednesday. At one o'clock. People are work kids in school. All that stuff I suspected on Monday that that would probably be the play because with covert the pandemic, you want to kind of slide in there. I'm sure the mayor's thinking I wanna have it. I want to celebrate it, but it's not a lot of people show up. That's just fine with me. Plus, they also had, uh, you know the rain coming in this weekend choppy waters late in the week, so they had a bunch of reasons. Why the move it to a Wednesday and, by the way, don't mean closing of Laurel Street cast streak, Kennedy Boulevard Bridges along with Roaring Street and Platt Street. So if you're going somewhere Better get her done. Yes, Dad. I mean, if you're not going to the party than you know, avoid downtown, if you can, because it's gonna be, you know, pretty packed and I agree with air and I think you know this was because we're already hearing Chris treatment reporting about Possibility that all those parties that happened after the Super Bowl that you know we could have a super spreader, you know event so I can see the logistics of that, you know, and again, you know the covering this since I have for the past year. We're talking to the health department. They're talking to the police department. Try and figure out logistics wise, how they can pull this off and make it as safe as possible and not really packed downtown. But, you know, I just came in to work at seven. And so you know, a new Sienna LeBeau parade and I'm like I would have maybe like toe. Go to that, but I mean, sitting in here working. I wish it was the weekend to I could just tell you why. That's part of the reasoning. Is that why they're doing it mid week? By the way, The Washington Post and editorial about what a bad name Buccaneers is, It's like Jemima, all the others. Except it's, uh, killers and thieves and all that stuff on our our morning show back in 1976 was the one that had a contest and name them Buccaneers in the first place. It's your fault. So that means yes. Shame on you for coming up with something is nasty. Is that my high school football team was the Buccaneers. Yeah, I'd like a double block. I'm letting you know you're really Yeah. "Took out I have to go back. A few years like a guy named John Bailable came to mind right away, who played for the Montreal Canadiens. Who's a Canada there? Was there, captain for years and years. Just a classy, absolute classy individual. That's one all the time. That's it. He just kept winning and hey, was sort of an idol of mine. When I was a kid growing up, there's no doubt about that. And I think about him. I also think of Mario the meal. Who? Oh, yeah, like that, you know, and So maybe those two guys Couple of guys played. In fact, at the armory, Aga is still playing. It's incredible. And in fact, he bought part of the hockey team in the Czech Republic just so he can play. That's a good idea, You know? Absolutely. That is a good comparison. And I'm not so sure such a big deal. I'm really not. I think that If you can get through your your conference in your division and what have you You have a great chance to win. And let's not forget the couture off will be back for the playoffs. Hopefully, and I think the lightning will make the playoffs. Of the way they're going, and the other team, the Florida Panthers. "The great Jack Harris back tomorrow. Erin Jacobson. Natalie equally a KT Buccino got you covered Felix Vega in for the rest of the show as well. One an exciting week. It is Monday Super Bowl Week. The Super Bowl is in our backyard at Raymond James Stadium, and the Buccaneers are playing in the game. It is incredible the week we're about to have here. I wish there wasn't a pandemic going on, so everyone could really feel the full effect, but just being out on Friday And if you haven't been around the downtown area, I know not everyone's gonna be able to make it down there. Even if you don't have tickets to some of the events, you can still go hang out at Curtis six and parking See, I mean, it's sad the way they transformed the city. It's so different than we've seen in years past because it was so spread out Miami last year. We're here in Tampa. It's downtown. It's convention center. It's Riverwalk, The park's Curtis six in and Julian be Lane. That's where everything is. It's an incredible scene. We I think our lucky and in a good position here in Tampa Bay, where the events could be outdoors. Radio row safely inside for the press and the media like we're gonna be there today, D's they're all day. But what I witnessed Friday was a very safe and effective way to still bring have an impact of positive impact locally as far as the economic impact but also just to show off the city for anyone that's in town or watching or paying attention on social media. You see pictures of downtown and Hillsborough River and the illuminated lights, you know, taken up over the Sykes building with Bucks and Super Bowl and it is just a beautiful scene and anyone that sees it says, especially with the Northeast of whether they're getting coming in. They see what's happening in Tampa in February, when they're getting hit with some of the worst weather of the year. And there are thinking I need to get down there. It's like a foot of snow like sitting outside in Times Square right now in New York, and I was downtown yesterday. Just tow go to church by noticed a lot of people. Just walking around taking pictures of the buildings, taking pictures taking in all the sights, and what people need to remember is they done a really good job this year, not only as it relates to making a safe environment, do the Corona virus but also like you said, spreading it out and putting more events in place because the NFL experience when I worked in 2009 when the Super Bowl was here, then It was all in the parking lot outside Raymond James Stadium, and you had, you know some, then you set up. It was a much smaller enterprises what we've seen now, and I think they're doing a good job showcasing the downtown area. All that's been done in downtown and as you spread across this part morph, and then you see all the buildings that are going up to. It's just absolutely amazing to see the transformation of our downtown not just for the Super Bowl. But in the past. You're alone. It was interesting. From my perspective, The watch it I was with Rob Higgins last year in Miami and kind of checking out as him in Santiago Kurata. They were all looking around trying to take it all in and see what Miami was doing and you could see their brains working of how can we do this in Tampa and make it even better and really showcase the city of Miami did a great job of it. They really did. But Rod Higgins, they ever the commission. Everyone here that they take it to the next level, and one of things that they're also cracking down on and they're looking for is events like the Super Bowl they bring in human trafficking, and that becomes a real problem between not only strip clubs, prostitution rings hotels, so Hillsborough County is going around. You know, investigating why these business is making sure They have the proper signage for human trafficking numbers to call If you spot someone that may be trafficked at some point, and it's a good thing for a lot of the workers to take part in this and keep their eyes and ears open. If they see something I want to get into all those details coming up here, But I do want to highlight just how important this week's gonna be, and we'll get to the human trafficking. It's a huge issue. We talked about it already. Ah, little earlier on the show, but the what The impact is going to be in a lot of people in Jack talked about it. Jack will be back tomorrow, fearing the loss not being able to Had that true economic impact of a Super Bowl during a pandemic. I really do believe the way our city and I know, the mayor says in she's supposed to say it, but I believe or where Just our city being on display. The way it is, is going to pay dividends in the future where people are going to be coming to the city and remembering how beautiful it looked during the week of Super Bowl 55. I truly believe that we will go over some of those issues surrounding the Super Bowl as well coming up here on AM Tampa Bay. But first it's time for Sean Hannity and the morning update. Speaking of Champa Bai, very cool. That that all these health workers are going to be at the Super Bowl at Raymond James Stadium at 7500 free tickets given to them I do. I've seen some of the stories and it's awesome. I feel bad for some people because I've also seen the stories of people that have missed out that really want to go with the one thing that people are doing the testing here at Raymond James Stadium initially And then they had to move across the road from there because we're going to start getting ready for Super Bowl, but they didn't get it. I know it's tough those of the people I was talking about. It's tough to see that. You know they're doing hard work out there a swell on the front lines here and they're not gonna be able to go to the Bucks game. I keep seeing my friends on Facebook cause I have a lot of health care workers on Facebook, like one of my friends posted yesterday. He's like I'm going to the Super Bowl and I'm like 98% so excited for them. But that other 2% of me is a little bit better. Yeah. Let us well, they deserve it. Neither of you are allowed to go. I know I'm not allowed to go. That's why I'm after. What? What I got was yesterday with these teeth to get a call from Katie before sports show that I'm about to Diogo talking about tipping Buccaneers go to the Super Bowl, and Katie says Natalie is getting $10 jerseys right now. Buccaneer jerseys. Is there a guy Martin still on the team? She's talking about Doug Martin, who has not been on the team for a while, and you should know. If the jerseys air $10. It's not because they're happy that the bucks from the Super Bowl. They want everyone to have a jersey for cheap. It's because no, it's because they want to get those years is off the shelf. So all the Jamis Winston jerseys that are going around now? Yeah, that Zack Dolly, How many did you buy? I got four or but obviously got them for different people. But here's the thing I would've bought them anyway. Like I didn't even care they could have been from like I mean, 10 years ago, I warrant E just don't know the difference. So I'm just here to root on the team and I got a blinged out Hadas. Well, just cover up the name. Oh, yeah, We don't know any better. You know what? It's a nice one, too. It's like a good quality. We're very excited. That's nice. It was $10. That's good quality. If it's 10 bucks, it doesn't matter. It's good quality. It looked like it used to be expensive when Martin was on the scene. I don't know when that was, but jack me off. I don't have to go. I'm lucky because I Jack gives me all his hand me Downs. Yeah, I have a couple Two or three years ago. Whenever Woz I'm grew a little became an extra large after growing this, And so since then I bought him I've got about, I guess, 10 12. Extra large jerseys but also have a bunch of old large jersey. So the bucks when you gave me yesterday was great. I did see Jack doesn't know my secret plan. Just fatten him up. I'm just giving him beer. I'm giving them food on feeding them everything. Although I'm sorry, Joy. No, I always think it's funny because I don't think you fit in all the clothes you give me which is hilarious. I'm happy to take a bite. Yeah, I don't fit in him anymore. So I don't buy it. I've got 100 Jin. Hundreds and hundreds of T shirts enjoy keeps trying to get me to go through. Go through and look for the largest and get rid of because I mean, I've got him from towns and beaches and All kinds of stuff like that. Natalie and Katie, This is where you jump in and say No, Jack, You look great. You can fit in that excel. You can't have the extra. Unfortunately I'm still fit in that you can fit in the out. Not kneel. No way, shape or form. I like to keep those things the things I can't stand it anymore as motivation to fit into them again, So I'm like, Oh, well, I can't imagine you not testing anything. Just jeans. I go through. I go back and forth with jean sizes, but I've been the same size and most close since, like middle school seriously. That's amazing that when we get a chance, I want to talk to you all about the female soldiers in the new grooming standards. You can wear any hair styles and pony tails. "And let's go to the other room here and hear the stories from Natalie and Katie. What? Cut your olds attention. Natalie is going to go first and then Katie, So this is kind of interesting. Joe Biden might be banned from bringing his pellet on bike to the White House, because apparently that's a cyber threat of how much he goes on it. But apparently he uses it quite a lot. So how does it work? If you worked a hack pellet on what's the worst you could do? I think it's live classes, so maybe if they know that he's in that specific rumor, that specific class or they could maybe use his name or whatever he logs and on. I think that's probably the concern. But there's a microphone, a camera access Internet. Everything set up around that bike, so I think it would just be a cyber issue. I guess National security threat thought that was interesting. Never really thought about that. But apparently he does use it quite a lot, and he's going to be upset about it. So Yeah. Not much else to go from there. You can use it. Well, well, maybe we'll get a new gym. Maybe they'll make him his own pellet on like the Biden tone or something. Goodness you just hack in and make the pedals go really fast. Yeah, I can't keep up. You should write it to the inauguration today. Yeah. E don't think he's gonna be able to go out riding it around unless you got a whole mess of secret service around him and everything. Yeah, This actually doesn't move. It's like in house Spike. It's like, you know, Oh, became popular during covert. She's people couldn't get there, you know. Gym workouts in Trump had the my pillow guy. Biden's got the Pellet gun. Yeah, there we go. And they're no longer selling my pillow in three different major major change. Like retailers. I forgot what they were. Philanthropists. Yeah, Yeah, he watched you recovered. I am very proud of him. It's just not something I would put on my instagram Bio. So I think that every time I see him, probably shame on me. I've got to my pillows. Love him. You have my pillow are good. Yeah, I have a group. You got one? Aye, Dios. I have a variety of pillows. I have like a on my bed and I obviously sleep alone. But my pillow, I think is my favorite when I have a feather pillow and then a my pillow pillow and very comfy pillows. Joy's allergic to feathers. So really, yeah. They're feather pillows, so can't have one of those. But I don't care for mitt much anyway, but I use three pillows all the time. And to, um er my pillow pillow. My bed said came with six pillows.
