"There might well be an early opening. Dwayne badillo. That's what you need. When you're in a tireless position, it's inside 40 seconds. It's an absolute stunner for Dwight McNeil. Already have something to hold on to. What a start. Look, superstitions. I have them most of you listening have them the seat that you sit in. The clothing you wear or when we're on match day, the lucky I have a lucky this is insane. A lucky beer soaked at la Cox sportif Everton tracksuit top that I've worn for two derbies in the past 15 years, and Everton a proceeded to win both of those derbies, but I'm too afraid to be honest to where that lucky bears out the cocktail tracksuit top. Foremost Arby's because I don't want to ruin. It's a 100% record, which when you think about it, makes absolutely no sense. So a good way to contextualize your question, should you go back to Ireland this weekend ahead of old blaze eriko? Chelsea versus Everton Saturday one 30 p.m. Eastern Time on the USA channel, not in the face. What a difference. Three wins in a row make for Graham putter still mid table Chelsea for whom the move to three at the back has created a semblance of forward motion, the only modicum of confidence I draw is from the proven truth that Sean dyche loves a little more in life than to turn up at the party. Piss in the punch, then leave that party, have a quick fight with a stranger who looked at him funny in the street, yanko side mirror offer random pot car chow down a quick Donna kebab and around out the night with a 12 pack of special brew and a four hour blast on cooler duty. For sure, three wins in the last 7 games will mean that Ginger king will be thinking punches chants and will we have more of a puncher's chance? If you fly back to oil and Sam, look. Superstitions work. Because we believe in the that. That is their power. I just read a fascinating little tomb this week called looking for the hidden folk how Iceland's elves can save the earth by Nancy Marie Brown it's a beautiful meditation on myth, science, belief, the environment ultimately a love letter to Iceland, a place I miss, a very much. And the book digs in to the well-known story that a high percentage of otherwise seemingly urban icelanders believe elves live in the middle of their nation. And the author talks about the belief and says that it's the belief which makes them both real and very powerful she compares it in some detail to the law of gravity which people believed in despite the fact that the science at the beginning was very faulty or the evidence and molecules which we tell ourselves is scientific, but our understanding of is constantly being refined, but it's the belief that makes them real. And so we're superstitions, which when you think deeper football, football fandom is insane. We have no control over our teams over the players over their decisions. They can take place thousands of miles away from us and we live and we die with them. Shouting at the television screen and believing that by switching from the Sue for to the lazy boy at halftime we can influence the quality of ball Alex I will be will get in in that second half. Those superstitions are merely a way of a certain control over the uncontrollable and I love that and I respect that and I will continue to do that and

"Like the biggest straight shooter in the entire group and she's basically saying to kyle like i know that in your dream world they would get along however religiously they're just not going to be friends. Which in normal times. I'm so on her page. It's just that again. Kyle probably thinking more reproducible. Like how does that work because we can have more dinners erica's on her phone. Every time sutton speaks it just it doesn't work for the chemistry the cast crystal. I think everyone still feels a little bit confused as to where she stands in all of this she really is just taking a backseat. Sort of observing and watching. What's going on. and in this moment. She was sort of like bringing everyone back to reality. But also offering some insight into what she has heard personally from erica in that. Don't expect that. I know exactly where her head's at and you guys are on completely different pages about who owes each other. What and also what can be expected of each other right. Well that's the thing. She did have that insight which when she said i think everybody kind of took a step back because they didn't rise at she had that like intimate finished cost with her. Whatever she did so. It wasn't like her just hypothesizing as to what erica felt. She was like. No i am telling you. This is verbatim what she said to me. I think it was also an important distinction to make that. They're not being phony. It's not because they're not trying to pretend that they're friends. They're just being cordial and those are two very different things because if sutton came in Trying to be her friend and say oh my god you look so gorgeous and just pretend like they weren't really hating each other at the moment it would be phony but because they are just acting cordial not speaking to each other and kind of agreeing to disagree in. Stay there separate ways. That's maybe better but they don't need to try and be friends. No but there's gotta be middle ground. Because i don't consider what happened at ourselves to be cordial. It was enemy territory was it was it was nonverbal. Enemies is what it was. Cordial's not arrogant being on her phone in that way cordial is like they say hello. They don't sit next to each other. They don't bring anything up and they say goodbye when they leave eriko saying you know i'm having more fun scrolling the new york times i want really shocked off off right. I thought she was going to say like reading her own article about herself on the I know exactly. I was going to be like well. We can't have our down you're scrolling never know what you're gonna find not even that far down something about you is going to be on the top so the one other thing that i know. We don't normally talk about. But i guess we should maybe start watching the after shows. I guess if it's on a week that it's worth it and this week when sutton and garcia all were talking about the dinner. Sun makes a comment and she says basically. I'm not gonna say exactly what it was however in addition to erica threatening me she whispered something to me. That was one of the most horrific things. I've ever heard knocking to repeat it. I bet she'll said that the reunion out. Listen if she knows what's good for herself. Saving that out these after shows are very interesting. I've been watching pieces of them. But they're almost like mini reunions. But it's just two of them speaking at a time and it's usually two that are getting along in the moments of. It's almost like they're debriefing. It afterwards and they usually had like small tidbits. But it's nothing like a reunion and they're filming this reunion tomorrow. And andy posted. Did you see him. Like re- watching the season he had. I could see on his table. He had like an article about. Erica tom that he was reading. I'm sure i can't wait like we're not ready. We're not ready. We're gonna get erica. Sat down and all the questions like are going to be asked guys. I'm just so grateful that we all have each other for this. Because we're gonna need to raise ourselves. Oh it's gonna be so good. I've obviously spoken a lot on this podcast about how therapy has changed my life personally but more so general kind of just prioritizing our mental health which i know is something that doesn't come naturally to a lot of people and i wanna tell you about something that i really think can help. It's called better help. And it's not a crisis line. It's not self help. What it is is professional counseling down securely online so you can schedule weekly video or phone sessions. It's really whatever is your preference. I personally like phone. But i have a lot of friends that like video. They like to see that kind of face to face over the computer. You can send a message to your counselor at any time. You're going to get timely and thoughtful response. And i said this before but i think the thing that i probably value the most about this company is that they understand that..

On sports and Vaccines. Area code 253. What happens when you are led into these events with the covid passport, But you have covid 19. You'll be spreading it everywhere. Even though you have a vaccine. My sister in law had a vaccine card. She forgot at home. She got tested at the event because she forgot her card and she just positive she had her card. She could have just walked in the covid and spread it all over. Uh, two. Oh, six changing ticket contract after you bought season tickets. That's okay. Wow. That's interesting or whatever you can get. I would assume you get a refund. But that's not why you got a ticket. I suppose Eriko 36. So I wonder if the twelve's decibel level will be greatly lowered to the masks of C X games. That would have to be 36. Oh says. No one cares about professional sports anymore. Used to be a huge Seahawks fan even have a tattoo on my shoulder. Had season tickets for 11 years and never watched them on television again, nor any other team in any other city. Believe me, there's a lot of people that feel exactly the same way. Wow, Eriko 36. So if businesses start requiring to see my papers before entry, then it looks like I'm going to be saving myself a ton of money and talk about the Taliban in Afghanistan. Two Oh, six, says, sounds like we're armed and trained the wrong gender in Afghanistan, perhaps Afghan women Would have actually put up a fight. There you go. Two. Oh, six. You'd have to be there for 100 years plus true +253, says, Tom, none of these 13 servicemen and there's two women in there that would what would have died in Afghanistan. If Trump were president. Biden did it all backwards, and now he's trying to sweep it under the rug. Mm and Nick for Marcus 300 million per day for 365 days per year for 20 years. That's how much it would have cost. Does anyone honestly think Donald Trump and Stephen Miller would welcome a bunch of Muslims from Afghanistan with open arms? I ever met in two Oh, six. The reason they're take their talking, taking that livestock medicine is because it's been around for a long time. It's tried and it's true. Okay? Yeah, but not for Covid. Yeah. I mean, it's a medicine that works, But just not for covid necessary. Erica 36. So I do everything the opposite of what Trump says. Always. There you go. Three. Take a deep breath. Hey, don't listen to him. 36. Oh, breathe away. Okay, Two. Oh, six. Joe Rogan. Um most likely got better because of mono cologne. Whatever it was that the antibody one they gave Trump that was working for everyone. Not because of I remember, but he will believe and what he wants, and no one can prove anything because he took everything at the same time. Yeah, very good. Um and 45. The drug is used in humans to treat stuff like scabies and headlights, Headlights. I like headlights. Tom and France two. Oh, six. If Tom worked out of Paris and Cairo would probably have to follow Tom's France's rule that you can only work three hours a week with with overtime. A nine months of holiday. Yeah, that's all moved to France. There you go, 360 to put Tom's return into perspective. When he left for Indiana, Joe Biden was still marginally popular on Tom's returned from France. Joe Biden is popular with the Taliban. And she she Jinping, but unpopular everywhere else. How about another vacation? Tom? Oh, boy! Two. Oh, six. Welcome back down. I'm still glad you can speak English. We There we go to 53 John. It's fun listening to you live vicariously through Tom's story of his trip to France. Probably the same way we live vicariously through your auction stories, by the way, hopefully, Danny Glover didn't drink your water again, said a long story Tom Mark and see Texas Tom as an art fan, and Franco found myself. "In there. It is the G in Ursula's show. Dres has been filling in for Ursula and grades. You've been doing a phenomenal job. Let's get to it. Let's get to these texts right now we hear you. Very code. 253 says. Good morning, everyone. You're awesome. Have a great week. Um, Eric, Go to six, says Dres. Love you. You have to get a regular spot on the station. Let's appreciate it so much appreciated. That's good stuff on the Pfizer vaccines. FDA approval 4 to 5 says I'm not interested in any of these. Uh um RNA vaccines at all Approved or not, I'll wait. Eric called 4 to 5 says technology is moving at an astronomical rate. Now, treatments and vaccines can be created in studies done at rates We never could have even imagined. Do people worry about how quickly cell phone technology has come? A long not long ago we were using dial up landlines, and now we have more power in our pocket that NASA had when they put a man on the moon. Things move quicker. Now it is just that time. The time we live in 4 to 5. That was a great text, 253 says, waiting to see what the new excuse is going to be now that the FDA approved is FDA approved. Lot of those people are just got to find another excuse. They usually do. Yeah. Yeah. Eric, go to 53. This will have less of an impact on increasing vaccination rates than the lotteries linked to being vaccinated. Just get vaccinated. On Orlando needing to ration water because of covid cases. 26 says Florida did what they wanted during the pandemic. Now look. Mm. On visible homelessness in Washington, Eriko two or six s G. "Definitely a universal saying that we use in in the states and definitely over. You know across the pond as well with you guys. But here's the truth. Is is the reality is they. Don't you know everybody's got their demons. Everybody's got their fears. Everybody's got their insecurities everyone and for anyone who says well i. I'm not scared of anything. And i have no insecurities no worries no concerns. They're lying they wouldn't be human. Otherwise is that just comes with it. And so the and i think that's important for you guys like you and i to talk about and for people like us to talk about is i think when people are starting this journey of wanting to be more successful or more happy or more healthy or veteran their relationships are better dads or wise or husbands is when they i want them to know they're not alone in their insecurities their fears that voice inside your head. That says i'm not good enough. For what if they figure out. I don't know what i'm doing everybody's got that to some degree. But you anything that was trained into you or anything that you was wired into you that you believe right now you can wire it with just a little bit of work over a long period of time to start believing other things and start looking more to love and abundance unhappiness as opposed to not good enough anger judgment. Fear all that. So anything wired. Nt you can be unwired. That the key is is knowing. They're not alone and that we all struggle to some degree with something and so we're just need to work on it We'll let let's talk about the mindset off of it then because i know as you say you know we aspire to have it altogether and yet there's always stuff there and so for me for example on on might have a day where i think. Today i've got high ben. Say on the plan. I'm going to work really hard. I'm going to be focused on that. And then i get distracted and go down a rabbit hole and i've anc none of it's done and then at the end of the day i kind of look at it. Not beat myself up hire elect disciplined today. I got distracted and this stuff. I did all day long. It doesn't add any value to business. Could have just taken the die off and spent time with family or spent time with on myself. Doing something i really enjoy in hero was just wasted the night. So how do we kind of get into the mindset of okay this happened. Forget about it. Move on tomorrow. I say on the list. Alum do better. Well that's there's a whole there's a whole lot to unpack because that was a very specific example The first thing i would say is there is nothing we can do about anything that happened one second ago one hour ago one day eriko yesterday or last week the only thing we can do is learn from it and make a commitment to take one small action to do something different. Here's the hard thing about life right now. Is like all of life ashley. In modern countries you know what we would call western societies or get more advanced societies. Is we live in one giant casino. It is bells and whistles and lights and distraction and gangs in all of the things around us not only. Are they distracting. They're borderline the actually. The science is out. They are addicted to our phones addictive. Social media is addictive twenty. Four hour news is addictive. Netflix's addictive and so we've got email up. We've got social media. We've got him by the way if you're doing anything but one thing at a time it doesn't even matter if it's email say you're working on one thing and your email is up. Did you know because of just that alone you are forty percent less productive and so we've got to realize that we have all this things around us and its us to up if we've gotta go walk our phones in a safe. We've need to go walk our phones in the safe so that we get things done. So it's not text messaging and email and social media. And then someone you know. It's just constant so we got to realize that distractions are just a part of our life and it's almost like we crave try. Put your phone down or six hours and watch you start shaking like a heroin addict. It's legit and so there's a couple of answers here is first of all. We need to make any good. We just need to make good habits and let's start simple. Don't start with saying you know what i'm gonna learn spanish today. No you just maybe need to learn to words of spanish today and so that's an analogy for okay. Let's say you're going or tommy. We've looked at the end of the day and we're like man that was just a waste just a total waste if you look at the reality of it. Chances are we're being really hard ourselves. Chances are something done or maybe we just needed the zone out for a day and take a mental break. Whatever we were doing or something actually did happen and so a first of all. We've got to start lightning up ourselves. Life is to freaking difficult already with pain and misery and politics and social issues and death and sickness. Why do we need to make it harder by just having a quote off day so first of all to lighten up on ourselves. Maybe call a friend or go into a state of gratitude meditate. Go for a walk get nature. Whatever it is you need to do. We need to lighten up. There's nothing we can do to fix the past but what is one small action that we can take tomorrow. Maybe it's not turning on our email so that we could be a little bit more productive tomorrow than we were today and make the commitment. Here's the hardest thing at all. If we can make a commitment to only doing one task at a time you will be forty percent more efficient than otherwise. Which by the way means you could almost half a day in beach. Weisensee duck to think about those. Yeah that's fantastic. I love that you said now. We can't change the past and often fight Model of regret Also allow myself a moment or senator experiencing feel that. But then i tell myself well he i can't change that and it's the same. With tr example the pandemic is is a classic one this many people as the pandemic on the governments of my decisions to lockdown places. And we have to do this. We have to do that on the compliance. While you know you can't change a lot of that stuff you can't influence that but you can change his response to it. So that's i always tell myself that. In in that moments i will. Let's tackle what what i have control over. Indeed and that is that is that is wisdom beyond wisdom. And i'm sure you've read this book. And i'm sure it's been quoted on this podcast six hundred times. You know viktor frankl's man's search for meaning when you talk about the response to some of the worst things that's ever happened in human history and his response to it in his. You know his from.

"We cover that but the one of the biggest ones from today the human population almost eight billion people a good home school project. Okay you can find the formula for the how to grow the human population. The human population growth. It's online just look human population growth formula and there it is you can add in you can put the numbers at eight billion today and find out okay. About how long ago would we have been at zero. If eight billion people the log it's an exponential growth curve on a graph it only goes back to about forty four hundred years you got include famines and wars and and the different things that have happened but only goes back forty four hundred years average growth rate of point four three percents you can grow the human population at point four three percents and that accounts for the wars and famines and all the diseases and stuff like that. And you're at eight billion people in just forty four hundred years if we have been here. Mankind human beings have been on the planet. We evolved from apes some three million years ago. We should have a lot more people. We should have over one hundred and fifty thousand people per square inch on planet earth. That's crowded we're there does not. I hope we never get there. No kidding i will go to heaven before we so now and again we could go into a number of things still comets our solar system these salt and the amount of salt in the oceans. The how far away. The moon is from the earth right. Now it's been receiving for millions of years it would be way further away Just all kinds of things make it incredibly clear. The science confirms the scripture. The whole universe has the appearance of age. But it's not millions or billions of. I agree completely. And it's pretty clear when you look at scripture new re-genesis you know he talks about the six days of creation and there is morning and then there is evening and i mean that alone. I read that. I think it's so clear. I don't understand why we try to complicate it but anyway So here's what i wanna do. Because they have so many more questions task. And i really wanna to talk about. I i wanna go down. Another hall road Talking about the gospel and why all of this matters in light of the gospel And i also wanna talk about you. You've got a video on your website. And that i watched a little while ago called. What did you call it. Satan's visiting satan's playground college campuses. I wanna talk about the secular education system and how that is playing into culture in our beliefs and everything. That's happening right now. Because i know. I've talked about this on the podcast. And they know many. I mean most christians. I mean anybody who's really paying attention has any kind of conviction which is pretty much. I think most people listening to this podcast. He can't look at our culture around us. And just you know shrug it off and be like no big deal. I mean we see that we're in a culture war right now and so i really wanna talk with you a little bit more about that and and sharing the gospel because you have a pretty amazing story of of some different things that you've done in in ways that you have just been incredibly bold and going out and sharing the truth of god's word with people so typically we would do this where where we would extend this for backstage pass members kind of as a bonus episode but i think i wanna actually just do kind of part two to this podcast for next week because they think this is important stuff that i really want everybody to listen to. So are you good to hang on with me for a little while longer. Let's do all right. We'll be back next week so for those listening this week. Where can people find you. I know you kinda jump that in there really quickly. But i was gonna ask you that anyway. Our ministry is creation today dot org. We always wanted to be relevant. So we're always here today creation today network creation today dot org And then one more quick question. How can people support you. In prayer ministry while prayer is the biggest thing. I can tell you. God has continually shown me that if we are people that pray together and let him do what. He's what he's fully capable of doing. That is the best. So pray for our ministry would be the biggest thing if you wanna get involved. We have several initiatives. We've got a new movie called scarred. Earth that were looking at getting billboards put up in arizona. It's on the grand canyon. Awesome takes people from the science of the canyon so the gospel message actually say it takes people from the scars of planet earth to the scarred hands of jesus christ in a powerful way. So we're we're always doing fundraising were a five zero. One c three nonprofit ministry and we are only here because of the people. Go kind of like what you're doing and they help us out. It wasn't for for people supporting us. I'd be working at home depot. Teach change the shower. I love it. Well thank you for your time today. When she comes back it would be a huge shame for them to put the divas in a position where they an example was set. Where if they got pregnant they were their career was over. You know you. Just don't wanna set that. No karma has the advantage that no one's going look at her and go. Oh she's still got some pregnancy weight on her. A lot of the divas whose gimmick is not is different than karma's would have a lot of pressure to still be able to wear the same outfits and look the same way and they may need a little more time after pregnancy to get back into the shape that that would satisfy the handsome debonair dunn's team women But it was nice. From the perot. Jim ross under the bus. And that promo to i. I have no doubt that he said that to her and i would have told her this same thing. Just because that's wwe's tasted human being mean he's not saying at slob and you don't deserve a job what he's saying is had given the direction W w know given vincent man and kevin dunn and the whole you gotta look like you've been on your previous job. Was you know being on a stripper pole or posing for some or being a model on the runway. I mean i'm sorry. You look at her and i mean i think she's great. She should shake things up. But jim just telling the truth not trying to insult her. Yeah do we go back. Is it all the way back to birth fates. There's been an overweight diva. Ask me that again. Do we have to go all the way. Back to bertha faye in order to find an overweight diva. Well no you go back to mickie. James north wall and all those an elwin natalia fat slobs that you don't have the figure of layla and michelle mcconnell and eve and and the bella twins all right sarcasm over Matt flash chris from new jersey slash. New york thanks for your call. Let's go to Air five five nine please. State your name and where you're from you guys see from california from california. You sound like ian from tennessee to me. No i'm kidding. Go ahead No two quick questions real quick one With that Smackdown spot you've been saying that you've been wanting some better cross promotion. I think that that's the smackdown spot on raw. Last night really showed what the story has been the last couple of weeks and it kinda got me ready to watch it this right. I don't typically what smackdown. But i wanna see what's going to happen this. What do you think. I think it was better steve. I would still say this. And i and i talked about this. I think on my keller hotline on one of my killer hotlines last week. What i'd like to. I think a lot of people tune out anything looks like a commercial. We didn't get the voiceover guy going. Friday on smackdown. I just think people go up. it's a commercial. I'm going to do what i'm gonna do. I think they do that for movies for tough enough. I think the best way to cross promote a product is in the show. And so i think what's better is to have last night. My call in and booker t say A mycosis booker. Did you see smackdown. I'm not booker. Lawler michael cole. Say jerry lawler. Did you see smackdown last week. I thought it was really intriguing blah blah blah blah blah. And then and then and then lawler back and says. Yeah you know. And we're looking forward to friday the announcement friday. There's going to be a title match with shameless order. And you talk about that. And then and then they say well here. Let's fill fans in. Let's go to a video package to make it more conversational. Make it relevant. To the ron answers of big enough deal that they talk about it. In fact i'd even go so well. I mean there's still that sense of separate brands but it would be it'd be nice if even a wrestler or two when you feature a world title match on either raw or smackdown. I think you have to treat it as a big deal. Jump your marini has been on the show. He's talked about he so it wasn't even on the table when he worked there. And we're just talking two thousand ten back to two thousand nine wasn't even on the table for the writers to bring up. Let's put a world title match on tv because that was look. You're failing as a writer if you have to give up a world title match in order to sustain interest in the tv show. That's going too far. You say that for pay per view well. They've given up on that. They're just putting world title matches on tv now. So when you do it make it make a big deal to the point where i almost think you have other wrestlers on raw talking about it and i learned this going back to the eighties. When dusty rhodes was going to wrestle squash match on on world champion pressing on saturday or on the syndicated show worldwide. Nwa worldwide wrestling..

And the ownership of a jet, which makes him a flight risk. All right. Whatever you know they're not hoarding this stuff now, But you know what people are buying nonstop now? Personal grooming items. What horrifies me is that suddenly? People decided they better go back to using deodorant, deodorant whitening gel, sunscreen, perfume, nail polish luggage alarm clock swimsuits. All in demand. Because people are going back out again. Still warm my deodorant. Even when I was home, I'm suddenly happy that I didn't go out and visit people in their homes during a pandemic. Good heavens! Eriko tool. Is with edge Well, personal, Kerry says, carrying for oneself became a real personal and even introspective exercise, while other areas that relate more to presenting yourself to other people took a back seat, okay. I don't. I wouldn't worry about the store's running out of deodorant. If you've gone down a deodorant aisle is like the entire I'll. Yes, it's like it's like buying a light bulb. Yeah, I can't remember either, and whether it's a gel or this display or the jealous cold. Only thing called a look. What do you use? Roll on. No, no, no, no, no, no, no. The dry stick. Appreciate it. Jim. Richard, what is up, Richard? Mr Richard. Thanks for taking my call. I have to comment as a guy's been on the planet for a while. You're talking about addictions and all this stuff related to covert. I think all this to me explosives that you know the dripping water that we've had for many, many moons is caught up with us. Health care, you know, reform. In fact, we've got incoming any quality and it's all being exposed for what it's been for a long time. I look at the income and equality, of course across the country depending on reaching here, and I can't get California when you're 17 years and I mean, they're just incredible. So I think that's what's happening right now. I don't understand leadership at every level, whether you're a mayor, governor or a senator, right on up to the president. I think the disconnect between you know the I retire mentality and what's going on the ground. There's really another thing that's been exposed. No. Could not agree with you more. Richard. Yeah, it really is, is the incoming quality. And it's also the fact that For a long time. And when we have people who can afford to live in Santa Fe may get evicted from their housing on won't have anywhere to go unless it's to a city body. Former hotel motel in some kind. It also exposes the fact that we have been doing a very lousy job of leadership when it comes to building housing in Santa Fe for a long time. Now it's caught up to it. Well, I live in the west side of Africa. Here. I'll give you an example. That is sprawl over there. What's going on? We're weapon. I went and looked out some houses just out of curiosity on Sunday. Excuse me Saturday. In the target, the guy and the houses. We're literally really beautiful houses for a little under 400,000. When they first opened this particular group of homes. They have got up $100,000. If you want to go ahead and buy that house today, the hospital looked at it cost 100,000 more, almost half a million dollars and you tell me how many people can afford that. That's in Albuquerque. I mean, It is our agent and long talk with the rep there who's been in the business for a while, and he's said they sold out instantly. So I mean, you have that extreme to the guy that's struggling in apartment two kids trying to figure out where he's gonna get his next meal. I mean, that's a whole nother logging. All right. You're absolutely right. Richard. Appreciate the call. Stay well, okay. Thank you. Or two for 12 60 did he want to talk about so to the city's press release from a little while ago? Ah, and it's about exactly what we're talking about. Investments and affordable housing. So there are organizations around Such as life link, such as home Wise and others. As long as we may as well as a city and the housing trust, which has $3 million in it now and will have hopefully Cities committed another $3 million for next year for next fiscal year start July one. So these organizations So there's life link Greg, or Great organization. One of the city's partners. They provide services to low income renters. Not going to help everybody. Organizations Housing program manager Expressed a high degree of concern. About what's going to happen to her clientele. In the pandemic era moratorium on evictions. Is lifted. Funding for rental assistance will be a huge help. Now, that's that $3 million in the housing trust. Not going to help everybody. So life link is there then you have home wise to exactly what Richard was just talking about. Well, who can afford these homes? $14,000.6 months ago. Now, $500,000.6 months from now on, be $600,000..

"Spring break party season and this year even as the pandemic continues its party on Joining me now to talk about spring break in Florida and it's intersection with health is Veronica's Eriko via who is the health Care reporter at W. L. R in based in Miami Beach. Welcome to science Friday. Thank you, Ira. Thanks for having me for those of us in a cave. We're not familiar with this tradition. Give me a spring break primer on this. Well, basically starting in late February, we start Receiving Ah, lot of the college age students who come down and that keeps happening till about mid April. Peak time is men or late March. And here in South Florida. Wherever the beaches are, you'll definitely find some degree of spring break going on. Is it true that this year they were basically invited down by the governor? That's right. The governor run dissenters has had multiple times in press conferences that Florida is open for business in his words, and he said that the state will definitely not have any lockdowns. The turns that I've spoken to specifically said that they came down. Because of the weather. And secondly, because everything is open and and they'd say, you know, California is closed or that they just wanted to come to a state that didn't have a mask mandates. Everything's open. So that kind of Rhetoric from the governor did come across as an invitation for everybody to come down are different municipalities, then handling the situation in different ways. Yes, basically across Florida. Most municipalities have to just depend on asking people to think of all of the measures that we've had throughout the pandemic to stop the spread of the Corona virus it well in Miami Beach. It's more of like a reminder with the police. Cars and police officers everywhere. Florida's set up in such a way that we have mayors of the counties and of cities. And so the county of Miami Dade has had a curfew throughout that much of the pandemic from midnight to six. A.m. s O now. The city of Miami Beach. Put a separate curfew starting at eight p.m. through six AM from Thursday evening to Monday morning in a city like Fort Lauderdale. It has really just been you know, the mayor put out a video on Twitter, welcoming everybody to the beaches of Fort Lauderdale and just kindly asking everybody to Consider those measures just to stand apart to wear their masks. Sometimes they're just depending on the will of people. Tol, PA control the spread of this virus. So what's the solution is not just to say don't come because tourism is very vital to these areas. Absolutely. And because of the pandemic, the hospitality and tourism industry has been hard hit rates of occupancy at hotels are down. And so scientists and doctors are aware that they have to give options for people to stay safe. While also recognizing that the state's economy depends so much on tourism epidemiologist we've spoken to like Cindy prints at the University of Florida. Has told us you know, the beach is a very safe place. It's windy, and there's usually space to spread out. But you need to be cautious and by going into beach enjoy those activities, but not doing it to the point where you're throwing caution to the wind and Harding with everyone. We're definitely nowhere near community immunity. At this point. Let's talk about the numbers in Florida. The vaccination rates do infections. The rising variants. How How were the numbers doing? Florida has 15% of its population fully vaccinated. The numbers of positive cove it 19 cases are increasing. Usually, experts say, Look at the 14 day percent positivity rate rather than the daily because that shows you're more of a trend. And it has been going up both in the state and in Miami Dade County. It's above that 5% rate that the World Health Organization had said as like a good mark for businesses to open According to a CDC map that's called the U. S. Covert 19 cases caused by variants. Florida has the most of all the variants the ones that have been identified originally in the UK In Brazil and South Africa..
