"Greatest content producer and conservative radio of all time in the numbers speak for themselves Anyone can say they're the greatest but few people can back it up Well rush gonna back it up He was not only the best he was the best for 30 years and on that journey with him for a lot of it which James golden We know him as Boston early He's going to join us later I'm really excited about that interview Given that on many not all the stations you have clay and buck as well and Dana and Erik Erikson in this time slot Charlie Kirk but on many of the stations some of the bigger stations around the country we took over the spot and it's been the greatest honor of my life to do that You know I grew up listening to Rush Limbaugh So it's going to be a fascinating conversation I remember I remember some of the conversations he'd have with James and James Mike kind of like what I do with Jim Jim's real just like James Israel And Jim's my y'all hear him talking that you won't hear him talking and rush would pass on to the audience what he said You know it's just interesting how much I'd learned from rush whether I knew it or if I just happened by osmosis It was just great radio And there's that old expression right Replicate genius They'll create mediocrity and Russia's most certainly a genius So it's gonna be a real pleasure to talk to him later So something happened to me this weekend before I get to the content of the show We got a loaded show I got bosner And more evidence that there's no basement There's no bottom to the level of depravity the left will go in the midst of a tragedy a terror attack We've seen some episodes of violence and there's a gun involved They'll automatically jump the gun control So we had this massive tornado and unfathomable tragedy out in the Midwest We still don't know the body count and yes incredibly The left trying to leverage a political tragedy before bodies have even been buried It is so disgusting but just so typical of who they are And how they're not called out by major media figures We get it You want to argue about global warming or whatever Fine Is that the right argument to be had today Apparently the left thing so Before we get to that interesting experience this weekend I was going to talk about it later in the show but I want to talk about it now So my wife and my daughter left this week and they had to do something work wise So I couldn't go with them but they went up to Orlando There's one of the hotels up in Orlando put together this winter thing It's really amazing And it just was packed but my wife likes to go every year and bring my daughter I have a 9 year old Amelia Who I love obviously she's my daughter So Sunday my wife is headed back and I was busy trying to get the Monday show ready And she sends me a text and I look on the phone She's like look what I found in Amelia's suitcase Keep in mind she's 9 And she sends me a picture and a picture was of a picture I had taken with my youngest daughter like three years ago when she was like 6 or 7 at one of those daddy daughter dances So my youngest daughter had taken the picture and packed it with her because I wasn't going to be there and I got to tell you man it was like one of the most emotional moments of my life I know it seems sorry still got a little bit of lung thing going from whenever I get emotional I think cough after the rona Come out of the remnants one of the gifts that leaves you But I was really touched And it got me thinking that you know how important you know daddy's art of their daughters It's just not the same I mean listen we love moms You know raised by single mom Work obviously women and all the jobs I'm at and it's great You know more power great women power great through it Knock yourself out I love it It's not a knock on motherhood my mother was great It's just you know dad's very important too And you know I don't have any great life advice for soon to be fathers I don't I mean gosh I'm you know I'm a sinner too I'm the most imperfect father There's probably ever been but I tried my best and one of the lessons I always learned With my youngest daughter and I think I mean I really have it so moved when she the picture and she has a picture of me in her suitcase I thought it was amazing Those are basically if you want to see the picture I'd put it up on rumble My wife took a picture of the suitcase on my rumble podcast this morning But daddy's love their daughter's different The mom's love and the dad's love is just different You know we've roughhouse with them and everything with our daughters and our sons like a guy It's just different And it's so important But one of the best pieces of advice if I had any and again I'm no I'm not going to write a book on fatherhood I mean a lot of mistakes of course in my life We all do But the phone thing You know I see it a lot I remember when I was a kid I used to hang out with this friend of mine He's an ice kid but his dad was a tough guy He did been through war and you can tell it had banged him up And he was not a very emotional guy that did And the son whenever we were in the car together but always try to talk to him And the dad you could tell just wasn't listening or was listening and not responding and it would only make my friend the son talk more and more and just so eager and desperate to get the father's attention I never forgot that I never forgot that It would hurt my feelings even though it wasn't my father I wasn't talking to him the kid was I'll never forget that I remember going through that.

Eight seven seven nine seven three seven four to five. You are more than welcome to call in. So at the end of the last hour. Sure about bob nightingale. He is a columnist for usa. Today he is there sports reporter and i have noticed he was one of the ones i noticed he would not reference in his tweets the braves see would just say atlanta he'd say houston astros but then atlanta and he's now admitted he finds it racist he finds the word racist and so he won't use the team name. Now you should know if you're not in the southeast that the atlanta braves have worked with the cherokee nation and the jerky nation has totally endorsed. Both the tomahawk chop and the name of the braves but nightingale is a white guy who believes he does better than those native americans. He finds it racist on their behalf. Even though they do not. Now i gotta go on a tangent here for just a moment because The local atlanta paper the atlanta journal constitution has a my my my my radio. "Hello and welcome it. Is eric erickson here. The erik erikson show. I hope it's a wonderful day wherever you are and it's a wonderful day here and you can call it and be a part of it. Eight seven seven nine seven eric. Eight seven seven nine seven three seven four to five. Well you know what are the fun things about the show particularly now. I'm that i'm doing a new three live. I know somebody listened on delay but the news happened so much this time of day that like for example i wanted to spend some time this coordinated campaign against facebook. If you saw major newspapers stay almost every single. One of them had a front page story attacking facebook and i'll get there but something else has happened. Merrick garland has gone to the united states. Senate i need to set the stage for you on this story. So that you know about it The national school board association sent a letter to merrick garland calling for a fbi investigation into parents showing up at school boards. These school board association claimed that Parents were being threatened and bully or they were threatening and they were bullying they were harassing. They were threatening. They were domestic. Terrorists and merrick garland the attorney. General of the united states bit formed a task force to investigate parents as domestic terrorists. Except there's a side. The story we did not know at the time turns out the head of the national association of school boards coordinated with the biden white house the daily caller ross that they got the thorough foia. They got a lot of the exchanges in you could see it was the bite administration that actually helped prepare the letter included certain language including wanting to call parents. Domestic terrorists was the biting administration. That did this. In the national association of school boards worked with them on drafting. The letter incentive. To merrick garland. Now we know that the board never approved it. The national associate scores their board never proved it now. We know that the executive director of the ceo of the organization has been appointed by joe biden to serve in some capacity it was all coordinated with the by demonstration to make parents look like terrorists and we know this now. We know it was the bite administration. That did this. We know the board did not sign off on it. There was a big explosion. A lot of State school associations walked away for the national associate. School boards demand apologies in members of the board. Have come out and said we had no idea. We didn't approve this. So now the attorney general is before the united states senate. Today i wish to play for you..

"And she's not comfortable with three trillion dollar price tag but if she comes out of system and she's on the ballot in new hampshire and the base of the democratic party. New hampshire is to the left mega. They challenge her in a primary. She loses it increases the odds of a republican takeover. The senate which she does not want but she can't come out and be open and transparent about it because she's on the ballot mark kelly in arizona. He doesn't really what three trillion dollars. But he gets to play coy and play to the left because christian cinemas angering the left so much but he doesn't really want it he just can't come out and be open and transparent about it. You know somebody who does. It is raphael warnock from georgia. He thinks it's a great thing and he's been saved from himself by cinnamon mansion because the independence in georgia are increasingly dissatisfied with joe biden. That will come back to blow up in raphael worn face if he were to get his way. Democrats to some degree in. Some of these states are being helped by cinema mentioned. Some of them realize it. Some of them want it. some of them need the protection. And the media of course was followed for him. The media's not shoving microphones magazines face. Just the media's to the media is smart enough to know that they don't want the republican statement the meteor democrat as well and they know that the the left wing base would go after. Someone like maggie assan so the focus on cinema mentioned. It helps them. This is this is all political. But here's here's ultimately the thing it's gonna pass it's gonna pass. We're going to see three trillion dollar spending binge by the federal government. One point five on bipartisan infrastructure. One point five on reconciliation. They've got pass reconciliation. Why do they have to pass reconciliation. Because the republicans aren't giving the vote for the debt ceiling now one thing one thing that the republicans are we. The smart on is the democrats are in such disarray over this now. They've got seventeen days left. They have seventeen days to raise the debt ceiling. They have to retool reconciliation over the next seventeen days to get it passed and if they can't pass it because the progressive say no the whole debt ceiling situation. It's completely on them. They own the situation. They structured by design. It is their situation and they're going to have to. They're going to be left holding the bag. But just keep in mind here. It's still three trillion dollars now. It's spread out over ten years for sure but this is the way washington works. They spread everything out over ten years in in the budgeting process and they claim it'll be balanced and also you're gonna see tax increases. You'll see tobacco taxes. Go up that will go to the the working poor. You'll see corporate taxes go up. They'll pass that off to you. In terms of of costs going up in in terms of prices going up also inflation test eight thirty year high in the metrics followed by the fed. Jerome powell saying it looks like Inflation's gonna be around a lot longer than they expected. These are all problems. Democrats have to sort out. They told republicans. You're in the minority. We won and the republicans are led them have it and it turns out. The democrats can't govern a majority when the majorities as slim as is and they're sabotaging each other which is going to prevent them from being able to expand their majority. Politics is summit. It's fun watching it. The phone number here. Eight seven seven nine seven three seven four to five. It is erik erikson. It's an open line friday..

"Because the taliban won't let them we have so amazingly managed to screw this up. It is remarkable how the bite administration has done this and how our american bureaucracy continues to screw up and it's not just in the fbi bureaucracy as well has failed simone biles talking about this before the. Us senate we suffered and continue to suffer because no one asked us or the us uso. Did what was necessary to protect us. We have been failed and we deserve answers nassar's where he belongs but those who enabled him deserve to be held accountable if they are not. I am convinced that this will continue to happen to others across olympic sports in reviewing the oh i report it truly feels like the fbi turned a blind eye to us out of its way to help protect usa uso pc. It is remarkable. How the fbi letdown those olympians and it has a lot to do with our bureaucracy across the board the stories crop up from the state department to the fbi. The bureaucracy is increasingly dysfunctional and needs to be cleaned up. No one has the will to do that. Welcome back it is. Erik erikson across the united states from this microphone. The phone number is eight. Seven seven nine seven three seven four to five joining me. I'm excited to be able to talk to lila rose of live action about texas and a whole lot more. Welcome to the program again me on back to be honest with you. So it looks. I wanna talk to you about the texas in d- from a number of angles one of which is the absolute media hysteria over the fact that the plaintiffs ultimately according to the court sued the wrong people in. You would never know. That's actually what happened Well yeah. I mean there's been total medium out down because the this law has actually gone into effect with the cream court didn't stop. They've allowed it every single day. That texas heartbeat laws in effect over a hundred children are saved from abortion because abortion banned after six weeks in the state. And yeah i mean you see every pro-abortion media friend an ally celebrity and even some business leaders In meltdown mode. And it's just tragic. It's traffic when the fact is forty percent of americans arrests museum refuse into full last week. Eric forty six percent of americans support the only forty three percent oppose it. So more american support texas's for like law than opposed that and yet. You wouldn't think that when you look at the media coverage we'll let me. I wanna talk about both aspects the pulling in the media coverage here The the polling people don't understand you would never understand or appreciate that gallup has done polling as have others for a number of years in majority of american women. Consider themselves pro-life i. It's definitely more women depending on the poll because it kind of shifts but it's basically next to next women identify as pro-life as much as they identify pro choice or sometimes more You find the same. Demographic with envy and millennials Huge group of gendi millennial consider themselves pro-life and this is despite the fact that our institutions in our public school system. Hollywood most news media the whole democratic party are hardcore pro-abortion. So that keep pretty amazing when you think about the companies. You know google and facebook facebook. Ceo giving millions of dollars to planned parenthood. It's actually amazing. How many young. People and women are pro-life Despite the crazy propaganda misinformation out there. I mentioned after the texas little pass mike experience on television. I was at cnn for three years. And whenever an abortion issue would come up they would always come to me and say come on. You're your our in house. Prolifer sherman use marjorie. Dan's feller penny. Nance here all these women you can have on to be against the woman who would otherwise. Just say i'm trying to control her and inevitably. Miraculously they would never seem to be able to get a single woman to come on. And we'd go find the the media really willfully tries to stage the argument to help the pro-abortion 'cause now well you're not too bad. I'm sure you did a great job. Sending really addictive but But no you're right. I mean i i i have not received a single invite from any left leaning. Or even you could call it mainstream cable or network. Tv to discuss this issue of the heartbeat law and not talking something when You know i. I mean not said brad. Care but live. Action is the largest digital news group and educator on pro-life i mean we have over five million followers or reaching fifty nine people week where the behind the scenes working all these fronts. And yeah i mean the amount of the lack of representation of the fact that most american women at least it again. Half and half american women are pro-life and a lack of representation in these newsrooms on these channels of know people that are on You know in entertainment media you name. It is really ridiculous. And then the democratic party i mean you have someone like senator katrina jackson who the state senator from louisiana. Who's been disowned by her party. Because he's a black woman who dares to be pro-life and a democrat and very outspoken. About it but the democrats have totally rejected her on rejected all the democratic women who are pro-life so it's really sad to see but it's a state of affairs where you have this This vice grip that the abortion industry has on politics day on news media on education. And that's what we're doing everyday back into to break. I have one time remarked on on. Tv men are remembered. It was super controversial at the time. When i said it which which just seems so quaint given what i said and it was just that you're far more likely to find a pro abortion pro gay marriage republican out there in the wild than you are to find a pro-life pro traditional marriage democrat out there the wild and man. I remember the democrats and even the anchor on cnn. At the time. I think it was br baldwin. Just a they acted disbelief. It in credulity. Like i had said something. Just absolutely factually not true. They couldn't name a single democrat. They could think of all the national stages pro-life exactly and it's not because they don't agree and there's some that aren't prolifer democrats. There are a lot of people in entertainment and news media who i think are secretly life. But if you come out and say you're pro-life you get attacked. I mean look the head of a video game company popular video game company last week. I don't know if he saw this story He came out and he said well a lot of other people. He's the founder of the company. And i'm not into video games though you know it. It is just one of the popular ones Anyway he comes out and says on twitter. A lot of my colleagues are expressing their outrage at the tax law. I'm expressing my support. Children's are protected in very measured. Very kind just saying i support the texas law within a week. He has lecco. I mean. I mean the bore. His board is publicly announcing that he's stepping down and You know that they're going to open a safe for people to talk about how they felt about. You know for chris. I mean it is ludicrous. Like the privilege here is on the pro abort people whose chose lice so they get to live and breathe and walk. The earth live another day. Who gets advocate for the killing of children and society class for them. Well the pro-life movement because he's institutions are so corrupt Are getting attacked but despite all of that growth texas is getting stronger for life more and more states are passing laws that probably movement is growing so even though they attack and they save and they try to stop a. We're not going away and we're gonna we're gonna make this country pro-life that is the end game here for that. Every child is protected. Amen to that now moving on with with the media coming after you guys Google is has gone into overdrive. Censoring the pro-life. 'cause i actually until you were telling me in commercial break i caught. I guess someone mentioned in passing the story to the other day. I didn't really understand what they were talking about. Didn't have time to go back to it. So you'll be educating me here along.

"Nine seven three seven. Four to five rodney Want to go to you next. Welcome i love. I there this rodney. Yeah question for you. You're talking about the General made it treason. You said he needs to be fired. Why wasn't he put on trial for treason. Not like we're at wartime. Don't want to go to war with anyone should have more than just being fired yet. You're right except there's a problem there. The constitutional requirement for treason requires two witnesses. He's clearly the source for the woodward Cost a book that he general miley called his chinese counterpart. It doesn't matter under the constitutional requirements for a trial of treason. You have to have two witnesses to the event and There are no witnesses for my lease phone call. Even his statement. falls outside of the balance for trying to trees the the practical side of this is. He's not going to be tried the treason he's not. I will tell you though and we're going to spend some time with us. This is breaking news Robert costa and bob woodward have released a book in which they say and it's pretty clear for the writing that general miley is their source. That general miley made secret phone calls to his chinese counterpart assuring his chinese counterpart that miley would undermine donald trump in the donald trump wished to start a war with china going so far as to promise if an attack was ordered. He would give the chinese heads up so it wasn't a surprise. You know who has come out and said that general miley needs to resign alexander vitmain. That's right the source that led to the impeachment of donald trump for ukrainian fold goals. He's out saying if this is true. General miley must resign. He usurps civilian authority. Broke the chain of command and violated the sacrosanct principle of civilian control over the military. It's an extremely dangerous precedent. And he's right. He needs to be fired or resign. When i sources tell me Why in his speech said the stops with me. He's not running away from the responsibility. Really really that's state run media national public radio in in Pbs public broadcasting. Doing her best to cover for joe biden. She'll fit right at home. When the chinese are dominant by didn't try to escape responsibility Baloney trendy use good language. Here the media is turning on him. This end you can tell the partisans because they're rapidly tried to move on. It is notable that. Cbs news is lead. Story was cova dot afghanistan. It is notable that politico playbook says that the big story of the day the thing driving the conversation. Washington is the republican stance on immigration. They're trying to do their best for him. And the fact that they can't defend him they've got move the conversation shows. There's no defense there's none and yet they're trying they're trying. Some of them are even whispering. That it's jill biden father. They're trying to to throw her to the end of the day. The buck does stop with the president of the united states and he screwed up in ways he said donald trump would screw up he screwing up he gave us everything he said would happen with donald trump and a second term. I feel like i've come out of it with a new attribute a in one minute captain of liked so. It's it's interesting to look at that That in itself adapting parts of someone else's identity or just their interests or things like that isn't necessarily bad but but it is kind of could be. I don't know it's interesting. Thing to think about your definitely met those people who are like such a we in their relationship. The relationship really is their identity and the family and all of those things and maybe that's again tied to values to a degree but that like their success or failure as a human being kind of intrinsically tied to the relationship. And i just kind of wondered like is that okay. Is that a good thing. I guess if someone you know wants that in their life than sure that's great for them but yeah it's just it's an interesting thing i think. A lot of non monogamous people. Perhaps don't really feel that way. I think also looking it couples who do a lot of that we talk like especially when it's a we about an opinion about something it's like well. We both really love this sort of thing or we. Both you know we whatever sometimes that's true and maybe that's what brought them together or why they stayed together because we found that we really have this common love of thing but sometimes it's a little more one person than the other those lines get blurred like who is really the one who brought this part of that identity to the relationship so let's start out by defining identity erik erikson at just can't get over this name erickson who was an ego psychologist and who created the eight stages of psychosocial development. I sort of a rainbow gesture with my hand. Just they're sort of like bum. Pom pom yeah. The eight stages of psych psycho social development defined identity as quote a fundamental organizing principle which develops constantly throughout the lifespan. So that piece is important there. We will continue to talk about him and his theories on identity development throughout the episode. Of course that begs the question. How do we determine individual identity. What is the self that age old question. Is it just a feeling that we have is it tied to a specific declaration of oneself. Does it need to be neatly packaged up underneath a particular label. Is it attached to particular behaviors or actions that we do or is it something that is just plain difficult to put into words. Does it change. Depending on your culture. I mean for instance in the. Us much of our identity is determined by what we do and what. Our jobs are which is different in other cultures. Yeah so how the two of you kind of determined your identity. Is there like if someone were to say. Like who are you jason. Denecker like what is what would you say about your identity. Like what would that look like. And i wrote down some things that i thought that it might sound like but i wonder how close i am i you grow from no no no i mean by all man's like say something different than what i wrote down but i was just trying to come up with what i thought your identities were like mine leg I'm an actor. i'm emily. I'm an actor a podcast host and unethical vegan. Like those are like three things that are really important to me..

"This is the this is the moral battle in which parents are now engaged and you wonder why people are moving from blue states. Red states you wonder why people are seeking to protect their children. I take them out of public schools and not subjecting them to the scrutiny of state authorities or more and more thinking like this parents is thinking. And there's a phrase that my friend erik erikson has used in the past. He says whatever is whatever is allowed eventually becomes compulsory right. You will be forced to care. Whatever is allowed becomes compulsory in the end and that that is that is exactly right when it comes to the social left and it's politics you think right now the this woman saying i wanna take my kid who came prayed which is bad enough. Eventually you must take your kid to a kink parade because if you don't take your kid who came prayed you're performing acts of child abuse and you're undermining social norms that except kink behavior and that is the way it's going to go again is just an outer edge example of how this has been a mainstream philosophy on what for very long time. Which is we need to indoctrinate your kids in k. Through twelve about the wonders of lgbt lgbtq lifestyles and lgbtq morality and he falsely of gender ideology and. We must indoctrinate them now. We have to do the same thing on race at the left is not. It's the left is not willing to allow you to live-and-let-live that middle libertarian perspective. It just doesn't exist when it comes to the education of children left knows at the right. Better get onto this real fast. I think they're starting to can just a second. We're going to joe biden. It seems as though he's flailing bit we'll explain why in just one second first. Let's talk about the fact that you don't want to be standing in line. An auto parts store is not something they need to be doing we. Why would you stand in line. It's the front of the line. Finally he got the part that you want and then they're like oh yeah we don't have it available were ordering it. It'll come then we're gonna charge.

"Here's the thing it's private companies doing. This joe biden wants to put a whole lot of people out of work. He wants us to fundamentally transform. Our lives in ways that drive up costs to the poor. Meanwhile the private sector's doing we should be encouraging the private sector not mocking them for doing this. They're they're doing would they. Think is best for the environment. In the private sector without the government mandate. Let them do it more of this. Please not less of this. I think it's a good idea to let them try this and see and by the way individual landowners growers of trees. They're making money out of it to hello there. It is erik erikson reminder. I think allen sater's is going to be here tomorrow for me. i hope y'all you'll say prayer. I it's tomorrow is gonna be exhausting. This weekend is going to be six hours of radio a day. Climate activists are dumping wheelbarrows full of cow manure in front of the white house right now. They're wearing pink. They're dumping peak wheelbarrows full of cow manure in the white house. Say that joe biden's climate proposal is bs. It's all or nothing with these people. He's on their side. He's pledging to cut emissions by fifty to fifty two percent by twenty thirty. He's on their side. He's actually listening to greta Scowling at him. And they're mad at him because he's not doing enough because you know it's it's. It's actually a colt colt. It is the destruction of capitalism. They won't be happy until they have.
