And in this particular case, maybe we finally reached the ultimate apex of this, we now have a president of the United States who for all practical purposes runs a criminal family. His two brothers, his son, there's no other reasonable behavior that explains it, except they were all selling influence and he knew it, and he personally profited from it. A criminal cartel profiting the current incumbent of The White House that's quite a statement from speaker gingrich. Are you surprised by the robustness of a new gingrich's analysis of this latest scandal? No, not surprised. He goes a little further than I would for this reason. I followed this as best I can. And the conduct of the Biden family in the matter that you'd refers to is very tawdry and very distasteful. And it seems to me it must in some respects be illegal, not necessarily illegal by the current president, but by some of his family members. And possibly by him. But where I would curve, not an exception, but I just make a point is that as far as I can see, there is no evidence that U.S. government policy was ever modified in response to money paid to members of the Biden family. So I don't think we want to incite the allegation that they've been taking bribes and corruptly abusing their present presence. Consecutive positions in government because of the bribes they've received. But on the other hand, it seems to me that they have all lied about the nature of this. I would be astounded if it had been reported correctly in tax terms and or in terms of registering as agents for a foreign country. I think it's been an outright sale of access and influence and is a very tawdry and frankly disgraceful arrangement. But whether I would go quite as far as youth and say that it's a criminal family and a criminal operation, I'm not I think we should stick to the practice of giving people the benefit of the doubt before convicting them of crimes. But I think we can convict them of dishonesty and tawdriness and conduct completely inappropriate to the great offices that Joe Biden is held..

I love seeing now that Elon's got a fixed stuff quite significantly at Twitter. I see your posts come up on my feed all the time. Yeah, I will say though, I've noticed a little bit of a censorship just in the past couple days on Twitter. I don't know if it's censorship or I don't know if people are getting bored of Twitter or people are getting kicked off. What are you seeing? I'm not seeing as many conservative posts on Twitter. I don't know if you've been noticing that. But I've heard people say that in the last two days, I haven't seen it, but I've heard people complain. I did a poll on Instagram and I've gotten several hundred DMs saying that they aren't seeing a lot of my stuff. They have to search my name to find it. So I'm not sure on what that is. Elon, are you listening? What's going on? I think you're busy guy, you know, you're going to Mars and all that stuff and Tesla, but yeah, we need to make sure that things are working as you intended them to function on Twitter. So for some reason, I'm still seeing your posts. And there's a thread, there's a kind of theme to so many of them because you talk about the Second Amendment you talk about your events, you talk about Twitter, give send go, salts on you. But most of the posts as I see them as the algorithm puts them on my feed. It's something from the Bible, it's something about never giving up about standing tall, standing strong, talk to talk to us about why you think it's important to make those statements. You stood up, you fought the good fight, you won, you were vindicated. But you haven't let that disappear, and you're sending these messages out to all your followers. Tell us why that's so important for you. Well, absolutely. It's so important, important to me to talk about the Bible and to pose viable verses because somebody made me maybe having a bad day and it may live somebody up there. Somebody may need to read that and to be a good witness to others. "The story from just the news dot com that we have been focusing on is just extraordinary. This organization that was in charge of this should be investigated by the new Congress. By the way, that raid, 9 hours, 9 hours they were rummaging around immoral Lago. Eric Trump now says, and this is coming from the attorneys, the Trump attorneys. They said they were shown the warrant from a distance, but they were told that they were not allowed to observe anything. They had to leave the building and here's the most important part of this folks. And this is why we know something else was going on in Mar-a-Lago. Again, a pre dawn, guns drawn raid on Mar-a-Lago. On the home of a former United States president who has never been charged with a crime. They have tried. They have investigated, but they keep coming up with a very important thing that just like all the news coverage, the crimes alleged are fake as well. The other thing that concerns me is with all the security cameras off and everything, I think the first thing Trump needs to do is have somebody come in and sweep that place for microphones and other cameras that they might have put in there. There's no telling what they did, Tom. And I think they've really around your handed on this. And I think it's solidified Trump for 2024 to be honest with you. His base is broadened and his donations are through the roof. So Bill youth so you suspect that the FBI was actually planning listening devices and other things in. Exactly, I do, yes. That's true. His own lawyer, the FBI refused to let his legal representatives monitor the raid. Maybe I'm watching too much TV, but I thought that's something kind of fundamental. Will Cancel Culture Come for Us All?
"You heard representative. Jim jordan of ohio. Say this week as the house debated whether to impeach the president many of these republicans are calling it cancel culture. This has been a controversial topic. But we're going to dive in quality assurance where we take a second look at a big tech story in the news. Last march futurist. Amy webb predicted that cancel culture and the backlash to it would become an even bigger deal in the year ahead said now that's proving true in more ways than she even expected in the aftermath of the attack on the capital. Eric trump Very publicly proclaimed that his family. You know we're being cancelled and it's interesting to see the push pull the tension between those seeking to cancel others. Those complaining that they themselves have been canceled. You know this is one of these situations where the technology enabling all of this is both megaphone and also the infrastructure and also the stop button so the question really is. Who's the ultimate arbiter. What are the rules. They're becoming less and less clear. How do we tease apart. The arguments about cancel culture that are kind of specious and the real behavior. That is behind it right. So here's the predicament. There's a sort of glomming on when you feel like you agree with somebody. The instruments of technology of made that really easy i mean. Let's think back a few months ago when everybody was posting a black square on their instagram accounts. Away of signaling. Their discontent corporations were doing that too. That has translated to real world. Cancellations i mean we have started to see corporate denials of service ranging from aws kicking parlor off to facebook and twitter and more recently youtube silencing. Donald trump's accounts and that for some has social consequences but for other that has real world business consequences. And we're in the situation where we are both inventing the rules and playing the game at the same time. is there confusion. Do you think because there are many people who say particularly. Let's say like on black twitter that there was never a mechanism to address problems. Before and that you know what came to be seen as cancel. Culture was really almost like collective bargaining happening on twitter. It was a whole bunch of people who could like you said express the same opinion and get a result when they never could have before well. The lifeblood of cancel culture is dopamine right. It's the hit that we get from. Feeling like we're a part of a movement and you can see that visualized in metrics. There are some easy fixes to this. We're not gonna fix our culture overnight. The actual problems that we are having we can totally address the mechanisms that are helping to fan the flames twitter could take away metrics so the general public no longer sees the number of times something has been re tweeted or liked maybe you as the original poster could see that but others cannot. That's one way to reduce that dopamine head to reduce the sensation that we are feeling the sense of urgency. 'cause urgency is also part of cancel culture and the same could happen on facebook. There are addressable problems here. you know. There's an argument to be made. That cancelling cancel culture gives rise to additional cancel culture right. it's it becomes as vicious cycle. I mean that's what we're seeing right now with eric trump and the remarks that he's making about cancel culture and and specifically with regard to his dad. You know. i think that's where some of the resentment comes in. I do think that around the time of the metoo movement what has come to be called cancel. Culture right was an exercise in power by people who traditionally have not had power and that that was part of the democratizing effective social media that a lot of people could say the same thing all at once about a misbehaving man or white supremacy and get a result. And that's the tricky. That's the tricky side of us right. Because arguably the net effect of that movement did real good in society and so cancelling the mechanisms that would have led to. That may not be the best for our longer terms but the flip side is that we wind up in the situation that we're in now and if you stop for a moment and think about the words. The semantics cancel culture is alliterative. It's easy to remember. It's an active verb and it itself is conceptually easy for people to understand whereas dachshund or something else may not be right. 'cause cancel culture was a more positive reframing in some ways of targeted harassment which i think we have to be honest about. That has been the mechanism of the far-right online. And you know it's like cancel. Culture was the leftist rebrand That's you know. I hadn't thought about that before but you're absolutely right and i think that that is some of the that is currently being made by those on the far right which is that they themselves now are being targeted and harassed and listen. I'm a target of some of that. Hate and as much as it pains me to say this. They do have a point. Cancel culture impacts them through targeted attacks the same way that they are targeting others. The solution to all of this would be for somebody to come out to the playground. Blow the whistle and tell us all to settle down. We're going to get detention by that. I mean leadership which we have had very little of over the past few years.
