"This program may not be politically correct, but it is on target. Now. Your host Eric Gilbert, Welcome back on target. We are broadcasting live from the studios of LAPD Firearms Range and training facility That's located at 999 Bethel Road. Have a full house today. America and the host by Father Corner Fill gonna the week holder system. I left J C is sitting right here beside me. As is Chuck Douglas and big has has graced us with his presence. Always good to see you. Big head. Well, you can always be here. I mean, there's other well asking for my help. I know I know how that is it. I know how that is, Guys. You know we talked about a few weeks ago. The NRA show was unfortunately cancelled this year. But that did not stop the manufacturers from still making announcements on some new products that they were bringing to market and not just guns. But there's a quite a bit um other products out there that are coming to market. Some some are really need some, you know, we'll see you at the test of time says so. We thought we'd go through some of those. Some of these. You might be seen in the store here soon. Others, as we know might take a little while to hit the shelves, but at least want to go through them and tell you kind of what we're excited about. So what you got there? J C Well, one of the one of the big things I know they're they're late to the lake to the event. But Kimber has now come out with a micro compact, nine millimeter. And when you think of micro compact nine millimeters. I mean, you're thinking of you know the hellcat of the Ruger Max. Nine. Hellcats is Springfield. The same P 33 65, which kind of kicked things off. And now the M and P, uh, nine millimeter shield. Plus, um, and these all fit into this kind of a category of roughly six inches long, an inch wide and four inches tall from the grip to the top of the slide. They're off, phenomenal pocket and in the waistband nine millimeters in the thing about these is they also have now increased the capacity. I think, uh, you know that the sig has that, uh, 10, plus one that came out with and they had a pattern on how they do that, And they also came with the 12 plus one mag. Hellcat followed up with a 13 plus one. So they got a extra round on there. You think about that in a small gun of 14 rounds of mine? Uh, Ruger followed suit with a 12 plus one. The max the M and P Shield. Plus, it's got 13 plus one. So, um Kimber came right out with that. This is a 11 plus one rounds. Um, And it also comes with a magazine with 13 plus one. So you get that it's going to be in there in the mix of things. So anything about is with Kimber you think of steel 45 1911 has been their style. This is a polymer frame Striker fired. Um, uh, subcompact like the other one. So there right in there a couple of nice things about it, though it have a truly ambidextrous Mag release and slide stop. The slide stops so small, they said. It's really hard to release it. But we teach pullback slingshot anyway. But it's ambidextrous. And they said You don't have to switch anything around. Left handed right handed for the magazine release. Great grip, bobbed, um back on it like they do with some of theirs. They just said, it's really compact. Really nice. And all the testing on that, they said, was exceptionally accurate. So, uh and it has one of the lightest triggers most of the people tested. It said they were surprised or getting around £4.5 of Trigger point on it Beautiful sight system and, uh, with the optic or without an optics, but optics ready Whenever you get it. You want to pay for anything? About 600 bucks for that 100 bucks for the upgrading, that's good. Or to watch that for the gun for the gun. Uh, it's like 5 99 for the gun optic Rieti and then another 200 bucks for the That's pretty impressive. That's not bad. That's not bad guys. F N has also hit the market with a few things. Um well, First of all, I imagine this, I think last week the price of their 57. Firearm has been out for a number of years has come down significantly has to be to compete with the Ruger 57 pistol now, but it's a good thing, so it's now it's probably at this price of it was.

"Five yard line. Put a great job of saving little one sideline for that young quarterback trevor lawrence. Right here watch how he straighten. Backup right here. You know a little push but that was just kind of always call when michael our local. That's a lot of separation. That's a lot of separation between calvin joseph and his man We will have a highlights video drops here on youtube channel on monday. We'll talk about that play a little bit more. Unfortunately just not a great day for college defensive backs cowboys corners and look. It's not every day is going to be great. If you've arrived late we do get into winners. Losers honorable mentions on the post game show. What's up joe joe. This blog on the boy is the best oscars website on the internet. And the world. really Please do subscribe to. The channel are winners. So far eric gilbert in the like most bare bone sense of being a winner. Rondo carter is removed. Cuomo losers cooper rush and sean right kelvin joseph. It is now time for honorable. Mentions i told you that we had four james by the way i am not surprised at some of our fan base is overreacting. Yeah look this game sucked. i mean. but it's okay. You know the cowboys reserves against some jacksonville starters. It's all good you know. This doesn't necessarily indicative of terrible doesn't mean the couch is going to be awful. This proved that the cowboys are going to be trashes. Your it's just whatever it is what it is would. We have liked it to be better. Of course obviously. But it's not the end of the world but honorable mention style if you have any honorable. Mentions for this game. Let us know christopher lopez lucas effort on our mentioned. I liked that luca for nice moment Late in the game. Certainly if you were still watching to a lot of people checked out mess making his debut fiji tours going on lots of other stuff to demand your attention. I understand But luca for played. Well i thought late in the game. We'll see. I think luke gifford has really benefited from francis bernard's his status and luke gifford my ultimately make the team as a result of its alcee ultimately. What happens here. Timothy williams says djibril cox the broadcast watch the local broadcast and now we have a lot of people everywhere and international fans and maybe watch the nfl network broadcast and depending on what you saw my point but the cowboys home broadcast bill. Jones in code did have djibril kocsis their defensive player of the game. I do not have the book on my list. I did try to kind of look. Look a little bit elsewhere for this winter. Susan mentioned. We've talked a lot about your book cox. And i don't mean it ought to highlight how great he played broke. Hawks probably maybe arguably had the best game of anybody in this particular context but we've given him enough laps. I was just trying to trying to look under some different rocks. And so in that sense honorable mention isaac allergan whose mom was fantastic last week on hard knocks we will have a hard knocks livestream again on tuesday by looks fine and i think isaac is another practice squad candidate this year and so and he is on the practice squad. He won't take away from or he won't count against the cowboys practice squad. Nfl rules dictate. That teams can only have sixteen players on it but because he is part of the nfl's international pathway program. he can be a seventeenth player. That was the rule last year. He has one more year of exemption there So it does seem like that could be the plan for him. But i thought isaac played fine that he was solid. Nothing to really freak out about john. The grace dot for neon looked really. Good yeah matt has played okay. You know certainly the cow. We start option at center. Originally when they started connor williams was a good play in there. i do. We're see the cowboys. Cut some guys. Waves some guys that they're going to bring back. That's how this works if you're new to this. That's how they will work. There will be some names were they move on from that. They are strategic about. They're going to cut and wave. Some guys whom they believe will not get touched by other teams. And i think that matt's in that camp. I think they want on this roster but i think they have a lot of hoops to kind of you know wiggle through or a lot of whatever. Needles thread lines to thread. Whatever the expressionist. And so i think that the cowboys might view as expendable and someone whom they're fine risking in assuming he is untouched by all. Nfl teams the cowboys can ultimately bring him back. After everything happens that daddy mentions honorable. Mention the puncher. We have not talked about this thing on the channel but there are rumors swirling and this is a little bit of a preview for my own to determine ostra prediction about johnny hecker. Jonny hecker is probably out as the rams punter longtime rams punter longtime john fossil disciple and so if johnny hecker is out as the rams punter bryan anger. Don't get me wrong and brian anger. If you have ever heard the phrase punters or people to the rich eisen coin it was him. It was him being ironically by the jacksonville. Jaguars when rich eisen said during the nfl draft. But it does seem like johnny hecker could be a path that the cowboys choose to pursue in this particular moment intact but whatever anyway. Animal mentioned isaac alarcon honorable mention. Aaron parker if you catch a touchdown you're going to be on a bench. That's that's just kind of the way this works here. Speaking of aaron parker We have two angles. So get ready for some aaron parker heights. We'll get the food..

"Lsu watch his game the other night. No the second half was awful right. who's terrorist. So i mean everybody needs to improve now. The joe grady didn't call the plays at lsu as much credit as he got. It's still an art to calling a game and you have to learn how to do that. You can't just put a guy in. That's really good on the drawing board and say all right go go out and help call the some games. It's evan flow its ups and downs. You gotta have a rhythm to the game. And i think. Lsu is talented defensively. I think they will bounce back. They will be better because they were god. Awful defensively last year. So now i think defensively. It'll be better under toronto jones. I think they'll be better schematically in the back half defense not give up so many big place and that alone will give them a chance. Now the biggest question mark have is. Can they run the ball consistently inconsistent meaning on their terms when they want to run the ball. Everybody in the stadium knows that. Lsu has to run the ball here. Can they still get a first down or do it. On their terms. And also the health of max johnson without mouths brennan if max johnson goes down you right back in. The same boat lasted where. You're playing freshman quarterbacks. Just trying to piece together an offense to try and get you something out there to score some points on the week to week basis. And that's just not going to win in today's college. Football especially in the sec. Well let's go to the most talked about school in the. Sec is georgia and latest. Been for all the wrong reasons. I mean i'm. I'm afraid to check the curvy smarts again to get his foot hard pretty soon which going on there and can they overcome this in the next ten days. Well you hope so. They got the talent to do it in town. It's not going to be the issue it's about kirby has to keep this ship going in the right direction. No matter who's on it who's off of this is all we got right now. We got to continue to go forward and understand that. You've got the quarterback that can do it all you got the wide receivers that can do it. And i know eric gilbert is. We don't know where he is and we know everybody was expecting big things out of him. But now you gotta really lean on darnold washington the tied in and not just a block or like a guy. I need him to be guy needs to be tied in. Sec if you're going to compete because outside of your two receivers jemaine burden and cures jackson. I mean you've really don't have any other production especially with lease losing pickens your best one. So i'm really looking forward to this offense how they continue to improve in defensively all the secondary pieces that they lost. It's easy to say that. George is going to be good because kirby smarts defensive guy and the defensive backs is his baby is but you still have to go out there and prove it to me on saturdays. You have to go out there and get it done. And i didn't want to talk about alabama. But but i want to ask you about them because i just a you you you for your from there you played there and i have watched this program for a million years and never i'm talking fan. I'm talking to the players. I've never talked to the fans. Were there was just no in between. I mean alabama is going to win every game but one hundred points and the national championship is in the bag. Why why why should i not believe. This should just go ahead. And just put the money down in alabama. As i always. Do i think you if you're a betting man you should. You should definitely push the betsy. What happens you better get it. You'll get better right now than you would later on the season there. Eight knows so you better get it now. That's a good point. So and you're right paul. We should just go out there and pick alabama every year and to prove is because if not i just call see myself doing it all the time and i really believe that george is going to be better than alabama this year or am. I just tell them myself that because eventually the odds say that they're going to lose one of these games are we just playing mental gymnastics here and just making it up or is alabama's just gonna continue to dominate that. Like no other. We've ever seen in any other conference. Either it's just. They continue to win. They continue to dominate. And no matter who they lose coach or player there in results still remains the same and as long as nick savings there. They're going to win and they're going to recruit at a high level and they're going to coach them up. I mean you look at the way. He just called out a billingsley this past week and he's a great player and it doesn't matter how good you are if you don't do things for the right reasons at the right time all the time you won't play and it doesn't matter about it in the competition is is such a high level that it pushes all the players to remain that. Hey the knick said he's i guess. This is not a dictatorship. This is democracy. It's on you to call nick. I don't think.

"Handle joined as always by bruce feldman on monday. August sixteenth bruce. This was a big day. I think i know why but wanted to wanted to fill us in. No i'm gonna pull misdirection on you. You think i'm gonna say the release of the ap preseason top twenty five but no more personal at home First day of kindergarten. Aw yeah very nice so you dropped her off. We'll like how did that. Go use super super emotional. My wife came with me and she definitely got super emotional As soon as she got out of the car. I was just more proud. Like i feel like okay. We did it. We got through the first five years. We got her to kindergarten and She's super competent excited. So i don't know if you can relate to that. I just felt proud i remembered ours was years ago and i think i don't know if it's because we have twins and two of them that it was just like it seemed to go by pretty quick. It was like let's get them in and then all of a sudden you know they're out I don't know if that it's weird because it's a lot's happened in those two years. And so i don't honestly remember taking pictures and i remember the little bit of it but the day that when pretty fast now is probably your last normal first day of school now right because last year would have been a remote and sheer. You're going to school. But she's wearing a mask. Everybody's wearing masks there and you know we we aren't allowed on the campus yet so it's not quote unquote normal as yet Kids are not back by the way. Let me ask you something real quick. What's your you know the thing i'm most Like stress about in the mornings. Or we're gonna be late argument late. So i want like the quickest possible breakfast for for her and lately. It's become mini pancakes. Which are oh man. This is a plug for our our sponsor but our goto daughter they especially she loves trader mini pancakes and a can microwave them. It's a half a minute like with our son. He eats eggs and he tawab them. So it's just like that's not always you know especially if he wants some days. He wants hardboiled egg. That's not something that you can turn around in two minutes. The mini pancakes are something. You could around in two minutes there. You go to trader joe's and get yours Okay like i said earlier. It is the ap top twenty five came out just before we started alabama number one right where they left off last year. Oklahoma which finished sixth last year's number two. And then you go clemson three ohio state. Four georgia five. I can't imagine you're surprised. A who those five teams are any bit any surprise about the order. Not really Maybe like i. there's a lot of people at least in this case a lotta. Ap voters who are probably buying on alex grinch in the defense. They're certainly buying in on Spencer rattler 'cause if you look at where he was a month the season coming off that texas game i'm not sure people would have been as sold But again clemson lost terrific quarterback terrific running back and you know their defense question mark. So i don't know the you look it's it's interesting though. Like ohio state has a lot of guys to replace. Because we think it's going to be cj stroud as we're taping this podcast about an hour ago ryan day said. He is getting more separation. From the other quarterbacks we know they have really good receivers that the replace a lot of guys on the defense and the defense wasn't all that good last year. Yeah i i definitely have more questions about ohio state than i do about Alabama oklahoma clemson granted alabama lost a ton too. But at this point you just kind of expect them to reload Georgia every time. I'm ready to believe in them. Something bad happens right. They george pickens Injury in the spring. Then they go. And get eric gilbert from lsu. Okay you know. He's he was a tight end coming into college. They're going to play more receiver now. They've got their receiver. It now kirby smart reveals this weekend that he's away from the team right now dealing with personal issues so it's already everybody has like an odd. Believe it when. I see it with them but i think i have a little more faith in oklahoma. I do think that that's a very complete team. We did talk about a couple of weeks ago. About is the hype. Getting a little. Bit ahead of itself with spencer rattler but again. We've seen more him than we've seen of the guys that are going. Start at quarterback for alabama ohio state. Any even clemson though. I have a lot of faith in. Dj clemson as the team. That i had way down at number five coming out of the spring but as it gets closer. I mean i. I'm starting to think i'm totally wrong about that. In particular you remember in the spring we weren't yet sure for we. It wasn't yet sure that justin ross would be cleared to return. After missing all last season. He is now cleared. there's pictures of the highlights of him in spring and like i mean justin ross. Was the star of the national title game a few years ago all american caliber receiver in. He's eligible in our. He's cleared to return now and they're defensive. Line is is absolutely loaded I don't know. I think i would definitely have them higher now than i did in the spring. You're already teasing your pick for clemson georgia and the big opening weekend. I'll pick clemson. I'll admit that What i what. I don't know as my ready to pull the trigger and say that's my national champion this year so i think to We're leave that part there. But i think what is more interesting about. Who's number one really at this point. Who's number six. That's the one. I think i was more curious. Because as you said there was a cluster of five programs who all had a lot of consistent high level success right now. Georgia's won a national title Oklahoma hasn't won a national title in a long time. Not obviously the longest georgia but But they they've been playoff-caliber teams and even though that most of them have some degree of of quarterback questions. I would say spencer. Rather probably the the most proven of the five teams quarterbacks but then after you get past that so the ap has texas a. and m. numbers number six coming off a terrific season. There were number four in the country. They have big quarterback question marks. They have to replace a bunch of their offense of line. Now jimbo fisher If you look at this list. I it's it's interesting regard to the five teams. You mentioned certainly lincoln. I and was a proven quarterback guy ryan. Day i believe is now a proven quarterback guy. The other one's twenty dollars done a really good job. But there's been you know i feel like clemson i would kind of take off the list. Alabama has proven although every year or every other year feels like. There's has been a new quarterback coach. Nick sabin and also georgia still. There's some tvd on that part of it as well. Jimbo has a strong reputation of this is texas am a clear number six for you at this point. I don't know about clear. But i'm not surprised to see them there and I'm not. I'm not six seven eight texas iowa state cincinnati is pretty much how i would have it was interesting. Is like cincinnati. Being eight after finishing eighth last year makes total sense with desmond. Ritter back with most of that team back. Frankly i was a little. Chris panini our group of five expert with this stat. Kind of blew me away. Cincinnati at number eight is easily the highest for a preseason group of five team in the cfp era previous was houston at number fifteen. Would you. i would not have guessed that. Nobody notified before this. Cincinnati team had finished had started higher than fifteenth. I would've thought for sure ucf. I would've thought for boise would have been higher than fifteen. Nope it shows you that I think in general people are starting to respect. the top. five team is more than they used to. Everybody saw cincinnati take Georgia right down to the wire pre show won that game frankly in the peach bowl So there's a lot of weird this degree and this is not menace a knock. I think people know both of us are pretty bullish on. Cincinnati have been at least at least since last year but cincinnati because last year the way it was they didn't have a chance to play. Non conference opponents boise state. Especially when chris peterson there they were beating big big time programs. You would have thought that they would have gotten more of a boost to crack the top twelve. There were well he is yes bowls he saying since two thousand fourteen pierra i. There was the year. Boise state played virginia tech the opener i think they went into this game ranked third or fourth country..

"The statue. Yeah, so right now, with the Ohio Supreme Court ruling on this and saying that teachers can't carry without police training. You're saying the police training from what you understand is full academy And you just you just mentioned Is it really 700 hours? Right. I don't know what the Ohio Academy police training is at the moment. I think it's probably up to 700 hours. But here's the other thing. Two guys that that is not being talked about. This also disqualifies private security who are protecting some of these schools and also we have a lot of schools are several schools who come to our store. And do extensive training with a team of individuals that are trained that this now disqualifies them all. So you know, last year we were talking about kicking all the resource officers out. And now we've taken this away. I mean, this is spiraling. This is creating like I was just saying it's creating softer targets. I mean, they're already soft targets anyway, but is creating softer targets with what you're talking about. And, you know, resource officers getting kicked out. And now they're you know the stipulations like this, and I got to tell you if if it really is 700 hours That they're expecting these. How would a teacher do that? I mean, that's impossible. How much did that doesn't even apply. They're not making arrests. They don't need to know different code. They only need the firearms, part of it. Right in Buckeye Firearms here in Ohio, who does a wonderful job of promoting safety and teaching. They have a program that they've been doing for years called faster and it Teaches free of charge. School districts, teachers, administrators how to carry a firearm in these scenarios, and they go through specific scenarios. Three or four day course it's phenomenal. Now that's all out the window as well. Well, this is, uh, this is terrible. I don't know if you agree with me that it would it be a deterrent for a would be school shooter. Um, I don't know if you've got somebody younger and there's you know, the the actual age of the kids that go to said school. I don't know that they're going to be as deterred if they're meeting Somebody with equal or better firepower inside the school, and then they also don't know where those particular teachers are necessarily throughout the school as well. I don't know if that's really a deterrent. You have to think that it more times than not, it would be so that I think In and of itself is something to really consider when letting teachers do this, But I got to tell you, man, if that happened at my kids school and if even if they're saying, Look, you know the teachers could shoot. The wrong kids. Or you could get hit in the crossfire and all the I'd rather there be a chance, then have something like what happened in Columbine. You know where it's just a massacre or something like that. I would rather a teacher at least have a chance there. You know what I'm saying? I mean, that's just my personal feeling. Absolutely absolutely. And it's just again. It takes one step in the wrong direction of protecting our kids in the schools. I'm just and this is unfortunately, just thankful that my Children are out of the schools. I mean, it just It's a It's incredible what we've done in the last year to go backwards and protecting these kids. Erik Delbert, who is well listening to the show, We love it. "On 16 W, T v N and Your host for that is Eric Gilbert and I get a text from him. Earlier today, and it has a story in it that I just was like, you know what? As I'm reading the story And, um, I just again. I just I'm I'm in shock that this happens in this day and age when you do something stupid in front of somebody's house. You know, just assume did I guess people stopped assuming that they're on camera. You gotta smile for the camera because just about everybody has some sort of recording device, some sort of device where they can see what's going on in front of behind beside Their house. It seems like I don't know what the actual number is, but I I can't imagine most neighborhoods you could go more than a house 234 houses and somebody's going to have some sort of a device. Where they can see what you'd be doing in front of their house. And I'd like to bring him on now, Eric Delbert and hey, brother. Welcome to the show. I like I was just saying I was I was in shock reading your text. I'm like, Wow, Nobody thinks that they're on camera anymore, Which is the dumbest assumption ever. Because everybody's got ring or something the to be recording this kind of stuff. How you doing, man? I'm great. Great. Great to be back with you guys. And you know, I agree. I mean, I mean, in this day and age, you can pretty much assume you're being recorded. Somewhere. Somehow it all the time and for this individual to do this and not think that she was being recorded. It was kind of crazy. Yeah. So So you send me This is kind of interesting the way it played out because you sent me this text. And I'm looking at it gone. Wow. I really would like to see the actual ring doorbell video of this and lo and behold. You end up sending me that and it was a few hours later. But you ended up sending me the link. It's on LAPD, Firearms and ranges. Facebook page. Correct, Correct. It is up there now. Okay, so people can go there to the LAPD, Firearms and range Facebook page. You can go there and check out this, uh This ring doorbell camera footage and it is very, very plain to see what is going on What this driver ends up doing. Um, so let's start with telling you know the listener. What What exactly happened and I'll let you tell the story. Sure, we had a listener to on target reach out to us, and, you know, we always encourage people to to, you know, be vocal to support local law enforcement in this particular family has a son in in the military right now, so they're very patriotic. Always wanting to do what they can to support law enforcement to support our troops. And because of that, they have a couple of signs in their front yard. Like many of us do they have one that says back. The blue has a blue line flag on it. And they have what what is known as the GATS in flag that don't tread on me Flag. They're they're in the flowerbed. They're very tastefully done. And when they call they they were upset. And they said, Look, you know we've done this. We've you know, supported law enforcement and we capture something on our Video camera on Saturday that we just can't believe And and that was the delivery of a package. And as you see in the camera, Brenda video as the driver pulled up, she gets out of the van. She obviously sees these signs. Then spits on the signs. Um, goes up, tosses the package on the front porch and then flashes a gesture at the residents flips him off. Flipped him off. Then, uh, it appears to spit on the signs on the way out. All right there, in plain view of for all to see, you know, the the most shocking part of it. I don't know if it's really shocking that that actually happened, or, um What comes next? According to what she is saying, Now, this is dead to right. You can go again and see this video on the L A p D firearms and range Facebook page. You can see the video on there. And you can see exactly what happens. It is exactly as Eric has described. I've watched it several times. Josh watched it with me earlier. And when you sit and watch this girl, this girl who is a driver for Amazon. You scratch your head and go. Does she know them? Is there something she's got specific against them? Um, the people there, but the lady who called your show And then told you that this happened and then produced the videos so you can see it happen. There's no embellishing here. By the way, nobody embellished Eric's story is spot on again. You'll see it when you watch the video. But when they she contacted the one lady who owns the home, she contacted Amazon. Correct, correct. She reached out to him to say you know what she's captured on her on her video camera. And then what did Amazon end up doing? So in the course of that conversation, and the lady that this happened to that household, very, you know, very good people very level headed people in they simply in the conversation said Look, it mean in this day and age. You have to be careful speaking, you know about their employee. That you know if they were to go up if they were to attempt something further in Ohio, you know people armed themselves. And you have to be careful that you wouldn't want your Uh, you know, an employee to do something that that would maybe, you know, be them. You know, I thought of that are breaking in or something like that and be faced with a homeowner who is they're protecting themselves. So it was a very Low key just, you know, looking out and pay half of this individual, and they subsequently suspended her account. So they suspended the account of the lady that had the Amazon account that owns the home. Had the package delivered that basically all of those horrible things happened to her as the Amazon client and, you know, really, I mean, that's it. That's they, They suspend her account, right? And I just actually spoke to her before we came on. They have now reinstated the account, um and and so forth and claim that they will investigate this lady or have a discussion with her. So I'm not sure of the name of the of the driver at this time, but certainly I mean, if she's doing this here, she's probably have done in other places as well. I'm wondering if there is any, uh, you know they're going to do anything to her. Like you said, maybe, But, um this feels like I don't even know what she said to rights in this video. I don't know what else there is to discuss. I mean, how would they want anybody? Working for them. Who would do something like this is what's horrible is this in Columbus? It's actually in a northern suburb of Columbus in a very nice area, and the thing to mark that that really is disturbing for me. We all see signs in people's yards. On bumper stickers that you don't agree with whether it be political, or, you know whatever it is, but that's our right to do that, and you have to be tolerant of others who are expressing that right? So you know, she might not have agreed with those signs. And that is fine. But you have to be tolerant. Um, you know of people who want to express themselves. My father who lives in the same area, probably about a mile away from this. Said several of the back the blue or back the police signs taken out of his yard. Now, people just stealing them people stealing them. Oh, yeah, as far as her spitting on those signs, and then you know, flipping off the front of the house. You got to start questioning the sanity of this person, Um, at the same time because you're going. You just flipped off a house, like are you? You hate the police that and that's that's where we're at now, right? I mean, That's where we live. That's our society now. Um it's okay to defund the police. It's okay to, um you know, you'll see officers roll up on situations. People jump up on the hood and start working on the hood of the vehicle..
Ohio governor signs gun bill expanding "stand your ground" right
"Big buzz story is signing the standard ground gun bill into law and the language of this before this bill was signed the law for Ohio Was is if if you were in a dangerous situation, uh and you felt the need to use your gun carrying conceal and you legitimate, legitimately owned a gun. You had to retreat first, and now the language allows you to remove that red tape and you no longer have to retreat. Uh, because in a court of law, you would have had to approve that. Like, okay, let's Yeah. So, Eric from a little bit earlier. You might know Eric Gilbert from the L A P D Firearms off Bethel and the on target show every Saturday at noon on NewsRadio, 16 w. T. V, and we asked him as not only gun owner, but someone who formally wasn't law enforcement about this new bill. You knew, right? Exactly. I mean, it's so contradictory victory to what you would think in in Ohio. I think it was in 2008 change that law in your house and in your vehicle, and what this does now is think that up to any place that you're legally able to be Eric, There are some of the other side. The critics of this especially the governor signing this bill you more recently overnight. You have the date mayor. And of course, that's where the organ district tragedy happened over a year ago, so I get the sensitive Any of this. I do. But at the same time, there are some Eric who would say, Well, this seems a little bag in the law now could someone with a mental health illness? You know, have a gun. And you know, someone says something nasty to over. They just not necessarily make it up. But if they felt threatened, they could use that in a court. No, I mean, you still have to abide by the legal standard. And that hasn't changed. I mean, you still need to be able to show that you're legally able to be at the place you're at. You can't be the one who started the encounter and you have to fear for your life and be able to articulate that. So nothing is changed in that regard. And contrary to some of the critics where they say, you know, it's open season now and you can shoot to kill And, you know, answer questions later. It's simply not the case. You still could be charged with murder or manslaughter or whatever the case may be, if you haven't met the elements Of that event, And so, yeah, it doesn't. It does not change anything that the laws are still in place that they used to force is still you know that those The criteria. The elements of that are still in place. It just expands. Now you don't have to turn around and show that you tried to run first is basically what it does. And by the way, when you really think about that, I mean, think about that for a second. You're in that situation. You're out about somewhere your eastern on out somewhere in public and all the sudden You know, there's a rampage Someone's doing, you know, just shooting everywhere. I mean, yeah, you're going to go take cover. But do you think most people the average person is actually that's the first thing they're going to think about. Oh, yeah, That's right. The law says I've got to go retreat first, that absolutely not. And you no longer have to be able to prove that anymore, either

"Than expected game RJ down in Gainesville at the Swamp between number six Florida An unranked ls you ls she was actually winning this game for much of the evening. But right now Florida has taken the lead. 31 27 That Florida just simply cannot afford to lose if they have any thoughts still of college playoff aspirations, And they're in tremendous jeopardy as it is leading this game because this is a game that they were favored in by a couple of touchdowns at a minimum, and they're facing in L s u team that is even Morris undermanned. Then we thought they would be going into this game. We know that Eric Gilbert had opted out along with terrorist Marshall and others. But we did not know until earlier this evening that they were playing with just the bare minimum of scholarship players. 54 in a year where the minimum has become 53. Yet they're able to pick off Kyle trash twice in the first half. That's probably going to make take a dent in his Heisman Trophy campaign, as such, as it is But I'm really enthusiastic in wanting to see how this finishes because there's a part of me, Jeff that wonders if l s U was starting to feel this if they know that they're not supposed to be in this game, let alone win it. Well, it's just the first the fourth quarter just started against 31 27, Florida over LS you It's been a weird weather day across the country. I think the fog that was in West point for the Army Navy game this afternoon. RJ has headed south down to Gainesville because it is like It's like the fog ball between the Bears and Eagles, the playoffs the late 19 eighties. It's tough to see unless your field level right now. But, yeah, I mean, look, this simply now you had Georgia beat Missouri today, and there were all these other cancelations. Ohio State did not play because that game against Michigan was washed. Clemson did not play today. Notre Dame and Clemson play next week. Alabama beats Arkansas. So the only team in real jeopardy at all right now is is Florida on the first team after a and M on the outside looking in of the college football playoff, So, Yeah, I want to see how this finishes but typically speaking You know, if you're a team that's not supposed to be there, a zealous you just completes a deep pass down the field to get enough scoring territory. If your team that's not supposed to be there more times than not, you kind of exposed yourself as the game goes on, but Florida's defense with these breakdowns RJ keeps given Ellis you a chance to stay in this and possibly reclaimed the lead. We should also say that Kyle Pitts is not playing in this game as well. And I think that this is precisely the time for what she would want the nation's the best tight end and leading the nation among tight ends with 11. Touchdowns. But I'm really paying attention to this tape to this that create the defense man because they haven't been good all year, And yet they've only given up 25 a game coming into this one. And yet still, they can't keep the lid on. As you pointed out with this big completion down the field, where for Brad Johnson's kid match, Johnson, who is a true freshman, got his first start in the swamp. Against the nation's number. 16 who needs to win this game to make the college football playoff, even even if they're able to beat Alabama next week with two losses. I just don't see him getting in. And then there's this aspect of it. That is Texas. And I'm having to watch this with bated breath as well because they feel they have a chance to get into the playoffs because their best win is against this Florida team and their only losses against that Alabama team, So there's a lot Riding on this game as L S U has driven into the red zone. Let me set the scene here at a very Foggy Swamp and Gainesville, Florida It was third and goal. From the Gators five yard line. Max Johnson drops back to pass Trade Bradford Open in the flat For a five yard touchdown reception. L s u has clawed back in front pending the extra point, but they are leading Florida with 13 14 left to play. How about that extra point is up. It is good. 34 31 Tigers. Early fourth quarter. RJ, You know I can't help. But look ahead to next week with this to Jeff was like Alabama destroyed Arkansas Now Arkansas is not a good football team, but they're in a neck and neck game with l s u. They end up losing that game two l s u And I think that Arkansas is gonna be pretty good the years to come With Sam Pittman at the helm, however, that Alabama offense with Devante Smith and Nagy hairs and Brian Robinson, John matching and slave Bolden, Mack Jones, and on and on it goes I don't see how this Florida team is, stands a chance Next week, Jeff Ellis, Alabama decides that they just don't care to win it. And I don't see the next day the team doing that. I don't care what happens tonight. Florida could have won this game like Arizona State beat Arizona, 17 or whatever. They weren't going to beat Alabama next week. That's just my opinion. I mean, no one is beating Alabama. Not until least we get to the college football playoffs. So I don't really that really had no bearing in my mind. But you know, it's interesting. You mentioned Kyle pits, he went through a full pregame workout. They thought that he was going to play tonight are jealous. Watching our broadcast on ESPN and Todd McShay, who was there in Gainesville was kind of surprised because he was watching him go through the workout and he looked great, and basically they were just being extra cautious to make sure And he was 100% for that game next week. But if they lose this game tonight, R J. What's the point of that right? Because that's kind of a backfire. Moved by Florida because of they lose tonight, there is no chance no matter what happens next week. Two lost team is getting in. That's not how the committee has worked thus far. No, and I don't see it. I see no way in which you put a two lost team of any kind into a 14 playoff as we're currently set up pandemic and no pandemic. But I also think that you know it's a bit of hubris on the part of Dan Mullen. And that offense to say, you know, we don't actually need Cal pitch to go beat this really awful. L s u team that Could be the first defending national champion to suffer a losing season since 1943 like that's at steep man like I was trying to figure out Earlier this week. Had there been a drop off like the one that we have seen from L s U and that's how far back we have to go so for them to be able to pull off this victory to upset the number 16 in the country when they debuted in The Associated Press poll as the number 16 in the country would be a tremendous win. For these kids because I understand how they must feel they're beating down. This is not the season. They wanted to have their trying to get through. Not just this game, but the next game against Ole Mess and salvage what's left of their season. And I think this would go a long way toward doing that. Well, tremendous stuff. Coco's gonna take back that bold and oh, no, no, We don't play. We won't play. They did that man like Thursday. They come out. Say we're gonna institute a self imposed bowl ban in the on Lee year in my life in which anybody was just playing handball bit. She was bad. What? I don't play Well, I'm gonna play How selfless of you down and bats on rouge But you're up 34 31 12 12 left to go the Gators facing a big third and three in their own territory. And that is incomplete. So Florida is that they're gonna have to punt the ball back to l s u down 3 12 07 left to go in the fourth quarter Be part be a part of game Night Nation. "Morning news. I'm JT. Here we are. The weekend is upon us and more college football. For the most part, anyway. They're silly. Joins us from CBS Sports to take a look. Take a look rather The SEC games this weekend. Very good morning. So one team not going to be going because of covert Ole Miss Lane Kiffin, my son and the rest of them and not playing this weekend against an M. Yeah, And it's unfortunate because I think for protective saying him Having success defensively, potentially having success defensively against it. Ole Miss offense that this prolific as it is with would definitely be, um, be attractive, so to speak to the selection committee, so it's always great to see old Miss. Did you see that offense again? But I really miss that a point for Texas A and M that could come back to haunt him. Yeah, no doubt about it. Now, the next game for old Mrs Coming up the following weekend with L s u yet to be seen on how that may play out, Ellis, you speaking of them? They just did some self imposed penalties. No bowl games because that whole scandal with the Children's hospital where somebody embezzled money to give to the parents of a player that has since graduated, but Is the N C W going to be satisfied with those self imposed penalties that l s U has put out there or are they going to say Not enough? Here comes some more penalties. I would. I don't think it's enough because it's obvious why it's happening. Right, like if they didn't suck as much as they did for lack of a better term would just be happening right now. No, they wait till they're three and five and just got smoked by Alabama, Yoko's of old band. I mean, come on, Esso, and we've seen this before. If you remember because all miss sort of went down that same path they He started to have a bad season. Then they self imposed a bowl ban and they didn't qualify for bull anyway. That year. You know you get another one. Right. All right. Well, now with all of that in play now, with the almost team canceled because of Cody Ellis, you putting these penalties on and maybe not going to play that game of illness, And could they throw out the excuse? Hey, we're just done with our season since we're not doing bowl games, and you know we're getting crushed this year. Let's just call it a day. You might as well write. Essentially, that's what's happened. Way saw terrorist marshal locked out a few weeks ago. Their freshman tight end Eric Gilbert is basically packing it in opting out air quote, which let's be honest at this point the season. If your team's not very good, it's called quitting. We could be on what it is, but, yeah, they're done. They're so over this season, and they're just looking for a five to find a way to get to the off season. Well, let's talk about the battle that they've got this weekend. And probably, I mean, just unlawful score at the end of this l s U Florida game. I'm going gators on this, obviously, but This game's still on As of right now in Florida's office is just going to sign. Nice. Ls use defense way. Saw hell issues? Yeah, actually, if you've seen it all year long. Trifle. And so they're going to want to stop child trafficking tile pits, Not a chance. No. All right. I'm assuming you're going the Gators as well. So it was Georgia Missouri game. I think I'll take the bull dogs in this one. Yeah. Yeah, that was. This is pretty good for Georgia. Now that JT Daniels is has taken the snaps a quarterback and Missouri's played well against the looking saying last week. Ah lot of offense, which for them is gonna be happy how they have to play against Georgia. I I just Georgia right now. They've gotten in too much of a group. Offensively they are. They're going to talk to be moving forward. Yeah. All right. The next game, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. How do you like, hear Tennessee is really struggling. E No. What a sad game that that game looks like Tennessee Reluctantly. Vanderbilt is when when we saw this when, when, in two weeks ago, they couldn't even get into field goal range for Sarah, Bowler. I know. I know. Bad. All right, Let's move one. Let's move on. I feel bad for Jeremy Pruitt. All right, Let's talk about Auburn, Mississippi State. A lot of people rumbling now about you know, Malzahn again. Here we go. Lackluster season. I still think Auburn wins this one against Mississippi State. You have you to homeland defense is all right. Not great through against the past, but it's all right. And Mr ST John run the football and that's how you beat over because they're run. Defense is so bad, so I just it doesn't match up well for Mississippi State. I'll take the Tigers. You like males on to be around next year. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Wow. I didn't mean to throw you for a loop. They're very reluctant. You think you'll be here next year? Yes, As of this very second of this day. That can change in about five minutes. Okay. Alright. Final gave this weekend in the SEC. Alabama Arkansas Roll tide. Let's go. Yeah. Pretty dead mate. Way better than they were last year. There ain't nobody stopping Alabama. Yeah, they're just on fire. Now that brings us to bowl games in the playoffs. I just want to get your thoughts real quick. Uh, Barrett, Ohio State has played four games. It's like they change the rules in midstream. For this. They're gonna go ahead and put them in the playoffs, even though they've only played Four games. Yeah, well, the big thing removing that minimum it needed to happen. It should have happened before the season. It's the one smart thing. The conference is done here through all of this. Because you just can't. You couldn't. You couldn't penalize the team a lot of times for things that were out of their control. So, yeah, they're going to try to get the get Ohio State. And I just don't know if it matters all that much for the committee because there were going to treat Ohio State the same way I think, regardless. Four games. You're good with us. Yeah, depends on the other things that are in the mix about that. All right? Sounds good, and we'll talk more about that next week. All right. Barrett Sallee, CBS Sports. Thanks, buddy. Appreciate you grab everything in your laundry basket and take it to zip strike cleaners Right now they have a super hot flash sale going on the regular really low laundry by sips price of a dollar. 49 is now only 99 cents. Trust, zips to wash and fold everything in your laundry basket for just 99.

"Voters are always the most knowledgeable and true. And there's like nine hundred. It's not like you're right. They're nine hundred college. yeah college. Football playoff committee is like fifteen or thirteen. Or whatever yeah. Those people are immersed in space and watching film and talking. The nine hundred plus are just kind of clueless in some way so there's a lot of regional bias and some of them are are on a beat where they're covering one team primarily right right so that the regional voting is a thing. Okay let's talk about some match ups and you know hanging around me other gablers for steve and a company. You know a lot of the terms brad yet that we throw out with alabama and florida looming next weekend. This is what's called a look ahead spot so that factors into the number and i gotta be honest. I was all over bam last week. But i was kind of impressive pleasantly surprised by the performance of lsu I thought the offense looked better than i've seen in recent weeks. I thought finley played better than i thought he would Johnson i think is the guy that he should be playing anyway and this number feels about right given the gators could be flat. Gators could pull out guys early. What do you make of the match up between this. Lsu demon florida. This is one that on the surface i would say florida's should blow out. Lsu because we see what's happening with lsu where. I mean you saw coach out blowing up on the sideline other night. That was absolutely embarrassing in the season has just been complete debacle really from the start since the first game against mississippi state Even before that when players started to opt out and so there's just a shell of what they were last year and have been for quite a while within last week before the alabama game. Terrace marshall their best remaining receiver opted out and now Eric gilbert who is their star freshman tight end who was probably the best remaining threatened. The passing game For for last week against alabama he is just opted out for the rest of the season. So they're running out of guys throw to They haven't run the ball well all year. I i just. I don't see how they have a chance to score with florida. The only thing that would concern me with going with florida here is it. Three straight weeks against weaker competition against tennessee kentucky and vanderbilt. They've started really slow Which which was unusual. Because at first several games of the season they started really fast. There were first half team but but they've they've struggled to put these teams away until the second half in recent games. So you know. Can you trust them for the first half. I don't know it's concerning but then but then you look at the full game. And what what is it about twenty four florida's about a twenty four point favorite. I think i saw you do worry about dan. Mullen with the sec championship game. The next weekend is he going to start pulling out starters as soon as he knows that the game is hand. That's always a possibility of course opens up the back door and all that stuff and so. I don't know like like at any other point in the schedule with the sec. Championship game not looming the following week. I would say florida should win this game. Thirty something points But those are some reasons to worry about it. Did the numbers back. What i saw with. My eyes of the offense played a little bit better for the tires last week night than they normally did. Well i would say yes. And no in that they did. More against alabama's defense than alabama had allowed since october. The the caveat to that is that a whole lot of that came onto place you know. They had the the two touchdowns were both long. Plays one pass one run and outside of that after alabama. Kind of tighten things up. They didn't really have a whole lot of success. The rest of the game. So i i don't know i mean there have been times when when l. issues offense has looked okay with bentley a quarterback and then there have obviously been games where they looked pretty inept and look florida clearly is not been a good defensive team or for most of the times. They played this season. So you would expect. Lsu's going to score some. But i i. Don't i would stop short of thinking that. Lsu is starting to figure things out offensively. Especially because of what i mentioned about you know about gilbert. They're tight end and having just opted out right so with an over under of sixty eight. You're looking at the twenty two point total for the tiger. So yeah no. Thank you on that well and look along those lines. I mean florida. And i realize you do after worry about lsu completely mailing it in given everything that's happening but the last couple of games. Florida has been held under thirty. Five points by by tennessee and kentucky. Now ill tennessee and kentucky are not bad defensive teams. They're bad offensive teams. But they're not bad defensive team. So maybe maybe it's it's apples and oranges. But it just seems to me that florida's offense while they still make the highlight plays have not been as consistent or has not been as consistent in the last three games. It was earlier. So i don't know i'm wondering a little bit weather. Florida might have peaked a little bit too. Yeah i was on against..

Eric gilbert. Good afternoon. Welcome non target. We're broadcasting live from the studios of LAPD firearms, rains and training facility, that's located at nine nine nine Bethel road. Right off three v. Eighteen hysteric along with my father in Kunar fell. He says to my left. Okay. Guys, what does a leaf blower, chainsaw a pneumatic drill? Those things are loud. Have you heard one of those pneumatic drill? An ambulance siren and a jackhammer all having common. You have these are loud, there, evily loud, you have to have a person up. Well, that's true. Okay. But these are all louder. Then a suppressed forty five caliber, firearm. So what does that say Eric? So then then that doesn't make sense because I thought the new said, oh, I'm sorry. These are all not as loud. Okay. But that still doesn't make sense because it sounds like what the news was saying is that because this guy in Virginia Beach that shot up the, you know, the, the office, right? That he had a suppressed forty five and that was why he was able to write. If you listen to the news, that's what they said, one hundred and thirty seven decibels is about the average of a suppressed Forty-five, all these things that we just said, more or less than that are less than that, so eight suppressed Forty-five is louder than all those things. We just said yet, yet, as far as if you listen to NBC four today on national news if he didn't have a suppressor on that the carnage would have been less there, how irresponsible, irresponsible, and these people the had the notion by watching television that with the suppress, firearm, it just goes them, the film, right? One of these not only is it. You're responsible. It's ignorant I mean absolutely ignorant. But I think money, I think it's intentional purpose. And you think this is bad. "But it is on now your host Eric Gilbert. Oh, welcome back on target. I mean, host air join today in the LAPD studios with my father co owner Phil he says to my far left Ronnie from boom Pakhtakor gunsmith. To my car. Right jaycees right to my right side. And we have a special guest today sitting to my left one of our other employees who's been here for quite a few years now, and we asked him to do gun or the week. You might have seen him into the store. Chuck. He's a fixture here. Actually looks quite a bit. So we ask them to do the gun of the week this week in the immediately knew which firearm he was going to choose kind of like if you were asked to do it. There's one in your mind in your mind that you kind of go to and this one wasn't just because he liked it. We were because it was his personal sidearm when he worked in law enforcement for number of years, but it because it also had a crucial role in saving his life. A one point. So it has not only the history to it. But it has a history the personal history to it. So we thought we'd bring check on and talk about that a little bit. And we're going to talk a little bit about the the the firearm itself. So this one I I happen to like it because it is a precursor to one of my favorite guns of all time this myth and Wesson fifty nine six or fifty nine. Eighty six which we've talked about numerous times here, but took the one you have in front of you a little bit older than that. What does this? This is the Speth west and six fifty nine six fifty nine. So that's a precursor to those other one it is in at the time. So it's a nine millimeter millimeter and at the time it was kind of on the cutting edge because the department you were with was coming off a revolver. And I think it was one of the first large agencies to embrace going to a semiautomatic. Yes, we have revolvers at that time. And our agency was one of the first sheriff's departments to actually officially adopted nine millimeter platform as their official duty go was it. Well, received the the guys fighting it or do they think that the extra capacity because I had imagined coming from a revolver, you probably have eighteen rounds on you. And now you've jumped up to forty five was with a longtime coming or was it something that they kind of the guys kind of fought. Well, some of the guys, you know, they weren't too happy about it. Because they're used to two revolvers and everything and of course, back then or what to many pick from all the younger. Guys course, they were jumping onto wagon with back then you were younger than right? Little..

Name name dirty girl. I can name names. I think I know I should we should. It's just it. Just drives me crazy that it's a constant battle on the back side for the good guys wanting to do makes you feel like you're doing something bad or something when you're, you know, hit it it, right? You're right. I mean, it, you know, you get lumped into the same thing as the the, you know, the dispensaries or whatever I mean, you know, or or other industries that aren't legal. Porn all day long. But they won't finance. It's just crazy Amos sale. But today we have. So maybe we add another line area. Maybe. So maybe expand expand expand their horizons where we are the owners of LAPD firearms range and training facility interactive law enforcement but for one hour on Saturdays..

"I didn't get a chance to really dive into that. Basically. It's this weird insurance thing where since Florida doesn't consider professional athletes, fulltime employees. They consider them independent contractors that af has to get like a separate insurance policy, and they haven't found insurance policy. However, Georgia considers if you play for a professional sports team, they consider your employ. So they have to do fifty percent of their practices in Georgia. So every practice pay they've been hanging out staying in a hotel Jacksonville, and they take buses thirty minutes north to King's Lynn, Georgia where they'll have their practice. Then drive back down and Jacksonville still ninety minutes outside of Orlando. When you start a new league, there's kinky. I was thinking about this. I went down the rabbit hole today as I was completely hung over and sitting in my bedroom. And I actually went and watched some old USFL football games. Okay. And I I was following like online their their first couple years are really successful. It's really I mean, it's Donald when he decided to go into September battle the NFL. Yeah. So I actually still think they f- like I said why would that guy? Invest two hundred fifty million dollars. It's odd to me how much you're defending. It's a little stri believe in. Did you watch the game last week? And there can it's getting there. I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm not. Let's relax. A little those games are better than a Virginia Tech Wake Forest zero zero game going into overtime. You piece of no good. They're probably on that. I mean, they're not far off from that. So that's not a good bar to set their better than that. I I watched the games. And I like I I've watched the better part of like five games. Do the Orlando San Antonio game and the Memphis eras on a game. We're fucked entertainer Landau San Antonio game was probably the best game. I've seen and still. You're like, okay. Like Like, you you can. can tell by the way. These quarterback's throw throw. It's very clearly a different level of talent. It's the minor leagues. But I also think Eric Gilbert will be in the NFL come August. I think jerick Gilbert leading the league in passing yards six hundred and twenty yards for the Apollo four touchdowns zero and restore Johnson is receiver. He wasn't. He was fantasy team a couple years ago in the Vikings but over and a half leagues Christian hash Christian hackenberg washes out will that will be very XFL. Yeah. That's a great poll question. We'll Krishan hackenberg end up in the XFL. I think he will. And then Vince, Vince, Vince young will be like Vincent same difference. Remember when the jets fan Vincic man will be like a hackenberg come out in this limo. And then it'll explode look at the jets drafted him in the second round. Look at the whole league is jets quarterback SIMS hackenberg the guy on Arizona law offer. These guys have all been on the jets lately. Gina Smith a year..

And it's out there on videos captured on video, and it's actually actor on our Facebook page, if you want to see it just should be posted right before the live show today, and it's a positive one. It is very positive. Breath. Had a couple. He proposed to her on the range get out. Yep. We knew about it. So it's kind of a setup and. Yeah, it was she said yes who thank goodness. And but watch a video she's actually shooting at the time you kind of taps her on the shoulder. Armed and she shooting wonder invested good idea. Certainly by surprise. She looked extremely happy. Not as happy as he did. But boy, it was were they. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. There's not going to be a shotgun wedding. Now guys, I hate to turn something so Nathan so great and something that's not. But I went out to the videos is beautiful. It's out there. You can see it. And we thought this would be a great thing to put out there social media. I mean, how could you turn this in anything negative Facebook turned us down for posting this and sending this out because it could it could suggest that you'd want to purchase a gun. So there you have it. That boy who was playing the bagpipes at a few. A fallen officer. Because it was us that was putting the posting. But I want to be labor that because it was a really really neat thing. "Eight eight thirty three hundred fifty from LAPD firearms range and training facility. This is on target the latest from the firearms industry, the products and politics that affect your hobby and liberty this program may not be politically, correct. But it is on target. Now, you host Eric Gilbert. Good afternoon welcomed on target. We're broadcasting live from the studios of LAPD firearms range and training facility. That's located at nine nine nine Bethel road. Eric my father, Phil Popol two weeks away from Smith and Wesson day. They're going to be right here with us. You can try some firearms out. They I'm here at even are bringing some ammo are they going to have revolvers. They're going to have revolvers every. I have not heard that. I asked that every week. I know I have not heard that yet. But they are going to be here on site to Saturdays from now become in try out, some of the beautiful Smith and Wesson firearms that we sell right here in the store, and and that day, we're not charging tax. We're not we're not going to give it to them. We're not going to give the government tax the heck. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But yeah, there is a tax free Saturday forests for Smith Westlands. I only for that day to day. There's one that you've been considering and stuff that would come in traveling show up on the on the twenty third and buy and save your seven and a half percent sales tax. That's excellent. Yep. That is well, we are the owners of LAPD firearms range in training facility and are active law enforcement but for one hour on Saturdays. We've put together a group of firearm experts discuss new products in the market training tips, and who too often had political topics surrounding the second amendment. Our commitment, though has always been to bring you the facts about our industry in Ultimo help our listeners and our customers with safe responsible ownership of firearms today on the show for as much as I like talking about new products and training, one of my favorite, topics. We cover here on the show is talking about the hard facts about the industry, you know, the ones that the anti gun establishment don't want you to hear because it goes. Completely opposite of what they tell you in the media to and stuff. So today, you know, in especially nowadays, we were talking before the show with the house under new democratic control. It seems like weekly we're seeing proposals and bills out there of just outrageous outrageous radio, it's unbelievable. Take care of the country, and what needs to be done. They're spending all their time. Trying to take away your rights simple. That's right. Or you know, our president. Exactly. But at one thirty today, we're going to go in-depth on a US department of Justice, a DOJ studied, this is not a study from CNN or from Fox News. A DOJ study about how the bad guys obtain their firearms in how they're used in crimes. You're not gonna wanna miss it. That's up but one thirty before that J C is going to have the kind of the week. And actually, I think JC this might be the oldest gun of the week. We've ever had or at least the oldest one we've ever had here in person Papas first service pistol. I think so actually I'm looking for a Holzer Ford. Then the pants that'd be impressive. Oh, yeah. You go. That would be wanna miss that. That's coming up at one fifteen and before that Ronnie, and Jason will get you caught up on some of the news that is going around our industry with. I can thank our sponsors though. Rampart hosting Toyota. West Jackson, lawn care and egress windows. The trigger group of black wings shooting centers, river's edge, cutlery, CNS engraving, and of course, LAPD training facility all for being a part of this show and making it happen. Every week. Joining me today in the studio JC from the sales team JC. You know, we talked last week. And I know you missed last week the proposals and the bills are just outrageous. Did you hear jaycee miss this last week that Baltimore City schools have voted to disarm the school resource officer? So no, if you're an officer in Baltimore City schools in your in one of the schools to protect them, you're no longer to bring your gun in the school. Oh, isn't that? Nice. So that makes the kids feel. Yeah. There you go on armed police officer. That's why we have baseball bats. Know if he needs a firearm, he can get it from one of the students. There you go very locker check. You make it fair for the shooter at a disadvantage if that officer. Absolutely. Nobody can defend themselves. They're yeah. How permanent who I can't imagine any officers gonna want to go into that scenario? And and take that job. That's crazy crazy Ronnie from boom tactical system. I write runny did I tell you. I don't know if I told you this. I know I I told John I have a gun coming in. I don't know if I told you this here we go. Oh, yeah. You told me it. Hush puppy, the hush spot. The I never heard of it is a new hush. Hush puppy. Not not the old ones shoes are Vietnam. I remember Stiller shoes. Someplace so the hush puppy. It was a throwback to the old Vietnam days when I think it was a Smith Wesson thirty nine thirty nine put a threaded barrel on and they put a slide lock on it. So when you're shooting at suppressed, the slide doesn't doesn't move. So it in essence makes it a, you know, a single shot yet to manually eject around. But it makes it extremely quiet as you can imagine without the gases coming out the side, well, Smith and Wesson in conjunction with the actually the super vow the Super Bowl though. Yeah, mogayon. Yeah. Right. They're coming out with a a version of the p two point. Oh, not shut up like, which they're calling the hush puppies. Yeah. So so what is the application for this firearm or this your dog while the the enemies dogs barking boat pulls out that was basically the navy was using it for so. Okay. Yeah. It's really need him. You know, really makes a suppressor. You know, if anyone has used a surprise around, then you know, you can still hear the action. You know, it's going to be banned. The, you know, the liberals get involved, but you could just build us a single shot Saudi automatic. There you go. It looks evil. That's very cool. Very very cool to my left is my father in Kunar public. I know you've been on kind of a frenzy with buying Seth came in last night. I wanted to to you first before we out there. I would for those watching. I would like the side. Oh, it does lock back in. There is that is that a nice well that that. Yeah. That is really that is really nice made in Ohio looks like is brand New York. It's only been the gentleman fired one magazine through it. Really? He publicizing a beautiful highpoint c-9. So. Nine. Yeah. I don't understand. I don't understand why the guy doesn't look bad. Yeah. Lifetime warranty. Yeah. It's a little clunky. Little but gunsmith just to take it down and clean. It. Know every time we get these. We don't sell them new of him in used. They're heavy. But but where they are light is in the price. And there are people out there that are in conditions where they cannot go out and afford a five or six hundred dollar pistol and still wanted to defend their their families. And you know, they work straight blowback, and maybe a little clunky. But I'd rather have that than a baseball bat or a can of fruit or a rock like they're giving our schools. What do you mean? I don't have one high point. How do you know that just know it wait a second? And this one revolver in the box guys has it. Ghost ring sight. There. Now, it's it's just not right. Right. So.

"From the firearms industry, the products and politics that affect your hobby liberty this program may not be politically, correct. But it is on target. Now, you host Eric Gilbert. Welcome back on target. I'm here's Terry. Join today in the LAPD studios with my father co owner all around good guy fail any solace shadow today. And you saw you didn't see it. I saw mine getting out of the truck that good or bad. I think that's good. That's good or women. No, that's bad. That's bad. That's bad. All right. So that was that mean that means we're going to have a long winter. Yeah. Okay. We're supposed to be like forty nine. But anyways, I don't I don't think he saw a shadow. So I think that's good. Yeah. It's only a what we're gonna get spring weather now. And then in may, we'll get snow. Good. Yeah. What are we picking up eastern? Not. There's been tied planet. Eggs in is I know on the ground. Yup. Ronnie from move tactical to my right JC is not with us today. He'll be back next week guys. We we started last actually before we get to that running. You had one of their story that we were talking about off air. Well, it's kind of related to what we talked about in the last couple of weeks, but there was a deadline for registering your long guns in Quebec in the deadline has passed and they are estimating that seventy five percent. Of the people in this province. Is that what they call it? Right. I think so have not registered their firearms. Really serious. Yeah. Well, I guess it's not as big of a deal, they can dollar fine. But they can they they're recognizing as well with that with that means you we were just talking during the break about the what votes are those electoral college electoral college and people say, oh, we want to get rid of it. Well, this is a classic example. You know, the the the biggest city in Quebec is loaded with liberals and stuff like that. And they the things they vote for effect the whole. Yeah. The whole province or whatever. I not sure it's you know, it it is true. And we're going to talk next week about the department of Justice. They put out a study we touched on the last couple of weeks. But next week we're gonna take a deeper dive into it. And it it really starts to put numbers to the some of the things we've talked about for a long time on Howard the bad guys getting their guns. And what can we do to affect the change in the next week? You'll be it's an eye opener. I mean, except in the we've talked about, and we know it to be true where we thought it to be true. But now with these numbers is it just it it it shows you at highlights how off the Mark some of these politicians and people who protest take on stuff are what those protesters don't realize and they're gonna they're gonna find out. You're really soon is that we have the supreme court. Now, you know what? I mean, it it leans right and all of these funky little bills that they're trying to pass where you can only have. Five rounds in your gun, which means several revolvers would be eliminated unlawful or whatever. Trying to pass all these they they have won one case that the supreme court Justice accepted in the and they it's going to open up the floodgate is I mean in the in the case, and we talked about last week a little bit was a case where in New York someone who it was said, I'm paraphrasing someone who has a permit to own a firearm. The way the law reads, you can't take it out of your house. You can't transport it to the gun store. You can't do anything, which is crazy. And so it's going to the supreme court, and then, you know, because the supreme court for a long time, it's been hesitant close numbers to take on many of the second amendment cases. But now that they they have a little more. They've pushed it too. I mean, they, you know, they they've they've pushed it too much. They pushed the line too much with some of these things now is going to they're going to make it their hands slapped on it. So so guys last couple of weeks shot Joe was one of the biggest events out in Nevada is one where the all the manufacturers common. They introduced new products in last week. We talked about some neat ones. I mean, of course, the Glock forty three x Glock forty eight were were high on that list of ones that were longing -ticipant it. But there were some other things that you kinda scratch your head on a little bit and say we're going to talk about about some of those. So let's start out with one of those kind of a neat little gun. Pablo? Did you see the ivory Johnson ivory Johnson been around for years and years they're four barrel? Twenty two long rifle pepper box. Do we have a holster for that? Surely someone who asked I'm sure three I could could could. I mean, what sort of application you have not done. Nothing. Little nostalgia. Little kind of a neat modern day blunderbuss. Yeah. It is kind of neat. But it nonetheless was something that they that they announced last week actually two weeks ago. Now, here's one though guys that has some merit and. I guess for those who've always wanted one it's not particularly to grab one Colt has reintroduced they've come back out last couple of years with revolvers that hadn't been around for a while. They reintroduced the king Cobra, I'm not thrilled about that. It just seemed like that they've lost some quality. Well, and we've kind of said that in the the sub stem noses that have come out the last couple of years. It looks decent. I was just gonna say I was Pupunu mearlier too. But I'm looking at one of them on online and. It looks pretty we need to get one. And maybe we maybe need to get some of the other ones that they came out with the detective special. I think the ones that came out the last couple of years, we just didn't feel like the quality was. Yeah. Right. Rough matte finish. Was there? They weren't inexpensive. And you know, they they were definitely at the top in which you would pay for a revolver. So I guess it will hold our judgment. We hold one of these, but the Colt king Cobra come into your store soon is out there that guy this one irony. I know you're going to poop who this one. But it looks really neat pop. Or did you take a look at the aging k may humor X with little partnership there? They're aging k four sixteen twenty two long rifle. It looks sharp illicit has some weight to it. And it's metal. It looks we but why not twenty two magnum? Thing that would be kind of neat. I like it. I mean, it's way better than the Smith and Wesson twenty two that they have. And which is a great gun don't care. But I mean, this doesn't that look like the real deal? Yeah. That looks like a weapon of war does four sixteen. I tell you one of my all time favorite twenty twos. In recent time, you know, the AARP platforms come out with Smith and Wesson, of course, Mossberg had one. But ruger's I forget the name of the of it. But they came out with an AR platform twenty two that takes a ten twenty two MAGS and was metal in it. It's always been one of my favorite hasn't gotten a whole lot of attention. But this aging k looks like it might be along that same lines. What do you think of a Popo? Well, getting it up right now. And yeah, I mean. Looks like an assault weapon or. One of our watches on Facebook says he has one of those h and k four sixteen pistols. So we interesting to see what his thoughts are about that. I think David were jealous. David. So okay, Popol you ready for this also announced also nounce new from Bursa versus coming out with a thunder twenty two and three eighty with a threaded barrel. That's I couldn't figure out what the TB, man. Okay. All right. I'm a fan of versus a tell you. I never used to be but ever since I've, you know, we've opened up the store, and I've and I take him out display case look at him. And then what happens I buy three of them. Right. What the heck you carry one oftentimes sixteen round double stack? Right. If you're just tuning in. We're talking about shot shown some new items that were recently released or announced to be released here soon if you want to jump in on the conversation six one four eight two one WTVN is the number. We love to hear if you've run across something that you think is going to be a neat neat item. We love to hear it because we certainly don't have all listed here in online. They have a picture of that Bursa with a candle. I must admit not being a huge versa fan. It looks pretty cool. Ks part of gun ownership is the looks. Oh, yeah. That's about fifty percent of it. Now has the function good, you know, but your true gun owner that is the case. We have a lot of people that come in with, you know, high points, and as long as you know, since bullets down range, that's like I came out with their BP concealed carry series nine with the threat of barrel to tell you the truth guys out that that gun was long gone. It was a nice gun. It's about this is probably a little bigger than the Smith and Wesson shield. It got good reviews. It felt good in your hand. Never took off. We had. I don't know. It it always look look kind of chintzy it. It was you know, striker fired. We ended up selling below cost. Just look like a Glock you better be. Yeah. That's true. Good point. That is funny. So watch for those coming to your store soon, Springfield, Springfield who hit the ground last year with the the nine eleven in the three eighty is very kind of a single action very small pretty well made. They've now come out with that in a nine millimeter. So it's going to compete with the sick nine thirty eight. Oh, the Kimber camber right sitting here smiling is because it seems like like they're sick is like how earth Springfield is about a year behind camber. Right. As if you know last year Kimber came out with the micro right before that they came out with what was the the other nine. That's just like the the cold was. But then they Springfield came out with the nine eleven, but you know, what I mean. I mean, I still have an issue with a single action a small single action pocket gun for concealed carry. But that's just me. We handful of them. I mean, there's certainly doesn't fly off the shelves like the Glock forty three in the shields and so forth. But guys should have the seemed to truly like they do. Yeah. I wouldn't say it's a good firearm for first owner of a firearm. No, no. But for someone who who is experiencing new has fueled Kerry catch on pay attention to action you can start out with one. Yep. There you go. So guys up next before we go into break in Ronnie. We were laughing about this during last break arm core or rock island..
