"Us my brother. Eric and my brother and jason. I also feel like we were swept under the rug by our mother. The things that she wanted to do in life and the things that were important to her didn't come with taking care of children. She left us with our grandmother and we did them and we were without her. Heather admits that financial problems. Were part of why. Her mother gave her and eric up for adoption. Sit told us but heather says that cynthia's reliance on her overbearing. Mom just as big a factor. It was my grandmother's idea. My grandmother was a horrible woman. You know so nanak. She says she wasn't going to look at too. Little replicas bob long the rest of her life and my mother better do something about it and so she got rid of us as a reminder. Bob long was heather and eric's birth father the musician who according to cynthia left her for a female vocalist in his band. When jason was five years old and that now left cynthia with their mom as a major influence in life. I can completely and totally understand why my mother is way she is. My grandmother was a horrible drunk and she was a paranoid schizophrenic. Very difficult to lie with She was a mean woman. And so yeah. I do have sympathy for her. She came by it on us. They'd but she chose not to break the cycle and she chose to stay that way. Heather was three years. Old and eric was one when they adopted out two different families. But in a strange quirk heather and eric ended up in the same small town. They were aware of each other but they were largely kept apart to be three years old and walk down the street have a a town with maybe four hundred people in it and be told us not your brother tough. We were only allowed at each other's houses on birthdays. We had a lot of good birthdays. Heather became aware of jason. Because he would call her adoptive mother to check up on her. I heard her on the phone with my brother once. And that's when she brought out my baby book and she told me all about my option and my mother and my father and she asked me. If i would feel better if i met my brother and my grandmother and i of course of course i would love to see my mother or my brother and my my grandmother. The stipulation was my birth mother. Cindy not be there at the eleven heather. Got the chance to get reacquainted with jason. She was allowed to stay with and his grandmother. For two weeks austin p. Were supposed to be out of town. You know that's my brother. And we got to hang out and we that to make you know fudge together and learn about each other and laughing record doctor. Who and giggle all about. It was fantastic. Hamilton this reunion with jason felt long overdue. But it wasn't the only reunion heather would have. I was there maybe twelve hours before my mother walked through. The door was raised in a very past home and she gave me books on wicca and paganism and A shock grows and lay brother freaked out dewsbury protective of me as hendrickson more about her birth family. She began to see cynthia or cindy as she sometimes calls her in a very negative light. Remember how scindia said that. Jason would live with her until he got mad at her then went to his grandma's constantly playing them off each other in a manipulative way. Heather says the truth was.

"Will right. Now it's all the republicans have and i've talked to a number of a republican strategist and lawmakers in recent days who expressed frustration. How first of all how popular. Joe biden isringhouser hoovering sitting well north of fifty percent And how popular. This bill was even though no. Gop lawmakers went for lots of republican voters. Backed in the white house has not shy of pointing that out looking at polling Tomorrow the white house though the bill was signed today by president biden the oval office. They're still going to have a bit of a victory celebration tomorrow in the rose garden and no republicans will be there because this was not a bipartisan bill. Despite white house efforts and now the white house is going to use this bill. One that americans want to suggest that. Hey republicans are out of touch all that. They're not looking for you. They're not trying to vote for checks in your pockets that fourteen hundred dollars but rather they've tried just inflame the culture wars now the one piece optimism for republicans is this. They feel like the terrain aheads heads a little more friendly for them. That the covid relief bill. The was broadly popular but other things biden wants to do a little less so perhaps infrastructure jobs climate change bill something on immigration something on voting rights. That biden agenda is ambitious republicans. Think they'll be able to score more points there but we'll see the biden white house right now. They're convinced they have momentum. They're going on the road next week. They're going to sell this and they believe they can use this victory to springboard them more. Susan here's a big picture question. I want to quote our mutual acquaintances e. j. dion over at the washington post quote the willingness of democrats to speed through a program of this size reflects the final. Shrugging off of reagan era constraints the shift away from top down supply side economics could not be more dramatic. So susan if he's right and get to judge that what is this the start of then. You know the the end of these reagan. Eric end of the need. That bill clinton felt the to to negotiate some third way between democrats and republicans taking a much more conservative stance and many democrats. Were taking at the time. This is a very liberal bill. This has big expansion of the safety net. It doesn't include just copay. Relief as republicans were fonda pointing out it. The big expansion of the child tax credit it expands subsidies for the affordable. Care act This is a this is a huge expansion of the roller federal government ended a time that americans really definitely democrats but a lot of republicans are eager for this to happen. You didn't hear a lot of pushback that the government shouldn't have a role in doing all these things. I think this crisis has really created a sentiment that this is something that only the federal government can do and that the federal government should do. We are really seeing. I think a significant shift in where the center of the american electorate is when it comes to the role of the federal government. Okay you gene. So if that's correct and biden has pulled out. The giant united states of america. American express card This does have a big price tag and guess what biden wants more. There's also the minor matter of rebuilding our country. I drove across town in post apocalyptic midtown manhattan today and was kicking myself because i forgot to bring a spare axel. Where are we going to pay for all of that. I think that is what they're talking about now where they've likely to start talking about this infrastructure bill and when you hear from biden folks is that they are not as focused on The deficit in what they also remind us is that as republicans find religion again on the deficit not to not to let that keep us. You know the keep that in. Mind that it. Over the trump years that was not something that republicans that was a huge part of what they were doing and it still isn't and so now they're coming back to that. That big fight is gonna matter because you know they this bill basically the easiest bill that they're going to get done those a little bit of drama at the end of the senate with joe mansion but now they're going to need sixty votes. They can't go to reconciliation. And so now the tug of war on those that price tag on transport on infrastructure on on all of these different things that jonathan was saying of this really ambitious agenda as they've kind of expanded the minds of people what they think the government should be doing and that includes republicans. You know this is a this is the third check. People have gotten and we were not thinking that people are covered andrew yang and the twenty twenty primary. And it's really interesting to see now that that has a part of the mainstream of not just the democratic party but the government that we have in this country and as people get used to certain things in this country. They don't want they want them to keep coming. And that is a mindset change that biden and republicans are going to have to deal with moving forward. We appreciate our big three on a big night. Eugene daniel's susan page jonathan lemere greatly appreciate you guys starting us off coming up for us after a year of fear and sorrow and staggering loss. There is hope one of our favourite doctors from the american city. That was hit hardest. And i by the full force.

"Freakonomics radio. Here's your host, Stephen Dubner. Today. We're talking with the journalist and psychologist Maria Kondakova, whose new book, The Biggest Bluff, chronicles her journey to become a professional poker player. So the story The main story in the book begins Really with your pursuit of a coach Eric Seidel, who's a great famous poker player and backgammon player. Tell us briefly about that. Had you considered perhaps people before him? So Eric ended up being my first choice. And he was my only choice because he said yes, but I did do research and I did look at a number of possibilities before settling on Eric. But tell us what he had or represented that made him the mentor. You wanted. He had a few different characteristics. First longevity. There's actually no comparison between him and any other player in terms off staying at the top of competitive poker. For decades and most people they have kind of this peak, and then they go away. The other component was that he seemed more old school in the sense of being more psychological, more thinking in his approach rather than ah, lot of the newer poker players who while brilliant, are Very mathematically minded, and they have just a very calculation ALS approach, and that's not my background. Okay, But at this point knowing how to play poker was not among your skills. Why was it that poker captured your attention? I was originally introduced to poker through game theory through the work of Jon Bon Norman as I was reading about luck and kind of immersing myself in the world of chance, and how to think about chance. I read John von Norman's theory of games, which is the foundational text of game theory. And I didn't know much about a Norman or his work, and he loved poker. Correct. Yes, he was just an avid poker player, and he hated the games. By the way, he hated roulette. He hated chess. He hated go. He thought that they were boring because they were either solvable or unsolvable. And he looked up for a second. So you're saying he hated roulette, and he hated chess. Hmm. And on the spectrum of information those air at opposite ends of the spectrum. Exactly. So talk about that. And what it was that he was looking for what it was that he didn't like about those MMA Norman was drawn to poker because it was a game of incomplete information. There was a solvable component to it, but there was always an element of the unknown. And he was working at the time as a national security advisor in the United States government he was working on the hydrogen bomb. I mean, this is someone who was involved at the very highest levels of decision making, and when he saw poker, he said. This is a good analog for that, because it's a game of incomplete information. Chess is boring because it can be solved. There is theoretically always a correct move and roulette is boring because it can't be solved. It's all chance the House wins. You know, there's nothing you can do. Hooker is interesting because we can try to find a framework to develop a solution. How to think through it. And yet it's not solved in the sense that there are deeds, elements of the unknown on this acumen element of bluffing of kind of representing and misrepresenting information. This is what decision making in the real world is actually about. That was the germ of game theory, so he came up with game theory as a way to Try to solve poker and then ultimately shuttle light onto how to make these very complex strategic decisions on at the highest levels of government. Baby baby Poker isn't a homogeneous game. There are multiple varieties of play with names like stud Omaha, Raz, but do G and horse Each has its own unique set of rules. But in any style of poker, the basic parameters are essentially the same. Some cards are dealt face up, visible to all. These are the community cards and some face down. So that on Lee, the person to whom they're dealt can see them. You make bets based on how strong your hand is and how strong you think others hands are Because the on Lee other cards you know, for sure are your own. You're in a game of incomplete information. You must make the best decision you can given the little you know. The style I've chosen to pursue is one particular variant of the game, which happens to be the most popular No limit Texas Hold'em. How no limit hold'em differs from other forms of poker is twofold. The first is in the precise amount of information that is held in common versus in private. Each player is dealt two cards face down the hole cards. This is privileged information. I can try to guess what you have based on how you act, but I can't know for sure. On Lee. Information I'll have is your betting patterns. Once the public information the cards still to the middle of the table face up is known. The amount of incomplete information in Texas Hold'em creates a particularly useful balance between skill and chance. To hole cards is just about us practical ratios. You can have enough unknown to make the game a good simulation of life, but not so much that it becomes a total crapshoot. The second thing that distinguishes this particular playing style is the concept of no limit, but Norman's own preferred style. The power of the Pure Bluff is restricted in a game of limit, explains Amarillo Slim, one of the best poker players of his day. When there's a limit, it means that the exact amount you bet has a ceiling on it. And no limit. You can bet everything you have at any point. And that's what makes this game a particularly strong metaphor for our daily decision making. Because in life there is never a limit. What's to stop you from risking all your money? Your reputation, your heart, even your life at any point you choose..

Atheist Experience with Matt Dillahunty & Shane Isgrig
"Yesterday was the Austin Atheist Day celebration and it was supposed to take place on the steps of the capital But we cancelled our event. They're even before the capital shutdown. We switched to an online format so once atheist experience is done for the day. We'll be playing the two hour collected clips of that And also that video is already up at went live yesterday at noon On a sister channel and mark has link-up for that channel as well. It's basically the Atheist Community of Austin Speaker series so It's youtube dot com slash atheist community of Austin is the primary channel interview are very liked and subscribed to atheist experienced You can go there and like subscribe to that and you will get the videos from the speakers as well. But we're GONNA air it kind of as a a special afterwards. Because I do a quick introduction there which will explain what happened but we also have Mandy so Thomas Andrews and Arn raw and I gave a talk but also Jannine v and Dan and Christie. And Charlie and Daryl and mom gosh who am I gonNa Forget Thomas Westbrook and Eric ends it. I think I think got all of them. Two hours of little short speeches between a couple of minutes maybe fifteen minutes each and so you have thoughts from each one of us about you know why atheist as important what you know goals emissions were working for. I'm glad that you both still did atheist day. And you made the adjustments before there was actually abandoned place on large gatherings. I'm glad that the ACA took it upon itself to say we're not going to be a part of getting people together right now yeah. Aca is currently a DEFCON Three three Defcon two we go down to. Nobody's allowed in the building except the crew and all hosts will be remote and Defcon one. We just stopped producing content We're hoping we don't get there but you know watching what's happening and I'm optimistic that maybe were getting ready to turn a corner on testing treatment. I've been pretty much self quarantine at my house for the last week. Yeah I was going to go. I was actually going. Leave the country for my first time and go to Europe. My trip would've ben two days from now That for obvious reasons has been canceled but I already got that time approved off of work so I figure might as well kind of quarantine while Canyon do what I can to slow that curb because a lot of people are misunderstanding. That the biggest reason why. We're trying to like flattening. Curve is just because something like eighty percent of us and I don't have the exact number but a large number of people are going to end up getting the virus and it's just it's important that we don't all get it at the same time because that would overwhelm our healthcare system and already kind of starting to see that in New York. It looks like they're starting to make arrangements for temporary hospitals. And you know we have to come up with plans on how we're going to get more ventilators and all of that stuff so do what. You can't just slow down. You might get it but I try not to get at the same time as everyone else. Yeah and I've been playing Do Maternal which came out on the twentieth Straight streaming that So for those people who aren't aware I guess maybe I never mentioned it here But I stream live on twitch and I've had twitch channel for like five years and every day somebody new comes in and goes holy crap. It's mental Donnie streaming games and. I didn't know you were Gamer. Yes I'm a Gamer. I was quick ninety-seven Iran the number one counter strike team in the United States. I am a hardcore. Gamer of both first person shooters and RPG's and some platforms but also boardgames index games. I fucking Love Games. Yeah and I will play the hell out of him and so a corn teens are really good opportunity. I think I stream do maternal for about seven hours yesterday which is a a middle of the road stream from me. I've done twenty four hour streams. I've done two hours rooms. I mean apart from Activism Video Games is mainly what you do anyway right so this. This is an entirely different for you your lifestyle. Just just I'm going to go do what you want videos. And then go back in the room and streams some so that works out. It's business as usual apart from you know not getting to hang out with as many of my friends right. That's that's been the hard part for me. Is just wanting to have large gatherings and just kind of thinking you know if I don't have a really good reason to go see somebody then I don. I shouldn't go do it because one of the problems with this Cove in nineteen is like. You're symptomatic for a while. After you get it so you can have it and not know it right. And that's the that's one of the biggest problems so I also shared a post today because Rand Paul has now tested positive. I I made it posted on facebook saying you know irony. It's what's for breakfast and I don't want anybody to think that I am Gleeful in any way that Rand Paul or anyone else's infected that's not remotely the case. I'm sorry that anybody got affected and I don't you know. Berry were like Oh no. That's just as you know. Screw you ran. You know the irony of it was that there was Legislation that was going to be voted on specifically to start addressing this and move funds around and he basically held our healthcare hostage by attaching an amendment which included things like pulling us out of Afghanistan. Things that weren't even relevant to thing you know. Let me get my pet issues in at the expense of other people's health right and he got tested because he's in the Senate. He has access to attest to that. Other people don't have access to yet. He didn't have any symptoms. It was just a precautionary test whereas I have a friend who has a friend who has symptoms in his sick with a fever cough everything else and cannot get tested and because they talked to somebody else. Those people don't know if they've been exposed or right. I would like to see an increase in the availability of tests because Rand Paul's as dramatic or some dramatic yet but he's in a higher risk category for having you know severe Response to all this. But Yeah it's I mean here's what I would leave in my comment in regards to you like you know some people saying that it's justice or not if I believed in Karma. This would strengthen my belief. Yeah that's what I can. I'm going to leave it at that. Yeah except I don't right. Oh

"And then yell we're Danielle is ringing the doorbell knocking. On the door to the H and she can't get in. You've got operation double date. There's it's I can't even tell you everything that happened 'cause there's so mental much parts to this. And the best part is the one Swiss that they try to introduce to the games, hopefully blew up in their face. Because the guy who wanted was Mike, boogie. He didn't use it. We want our we to have three weeks to use it to didn't use it h h so the twists totally goes unused. I was living for that I will backtrack a little bit. He actually did use the twist during chicken Georges H O H week. He basically used the red of the twist to strong arm chicken, George into nominating Howie. Which is what boogie in Mike, boogie and will rather sorry wanted him to do which was brilliant game play. Boogie wanted him today will. It was in his own world at the time. I also remember that this season where things might have gone differently if Dutcher will would have just given to know what she wanted, if you know what I mean. Yeah. I mean, I've talked about the, the final four, I feel like the big mistake the obvious mistake that Dr will and bogey make here is that they both approach each of Janelle and Erika, saying, Erica wants you out, sergeant L, once we want to keep you, but it's Erica or it's instead of doing operation Doubleday and playing it as pairs they approached as as a couple themselves. Really? Of course, once the other person wins the veto it really puts them in a tough spot because they know that they have to go to the other person, and, and Eric end up talking, and exposing what's happening there with Dr will and bogey, and that is why in my opinion, the season is not number one. But number two, it's because of what happens there to final four in the final three. Can you imagine a world where they keep up the facade of the double date, and it's still boogieing Erica against will? Engine. Oh, if that had continued on would have gotten rid of Erica at the final four, they go to the final three. Erica, Erica one, right? No air. One gentleman convinced. Erica. Eric was gone final five Dr Welby doesn't break his finger on the rope. But then seriously Erica would have been eliminated at the final four books, three of chill town, engine L God. In this in this spot. Because Erica, one endurance competition. Aven weightings, workout, and boogie was in such a weird state at the time like he was blindsided by Will's eviction if that doesn't happen. I think he actually does hold onto the thing to the key and have makes a run at winning endurance competition against Erica. In part to it was such a Chanel. Yeah, I in parts to if it's will against journal, I think we'll has a shot to win, and it's boogie doctor will in the in the final part three they show age like I really feel like that's a possibility. If they don't drop the ball. God, what is it? What people talking and. Yeah, I feel like that's in for me. I think that's why all stars is at that number two spot. And. It's hard to, to blame anyone but Chilton themselves, you know, it's like, why, why why do that? And I know why they did it because they were playing for the cameras like they, they were having fun with it. That's what they'd been doing all season. Part of what makes Wilson fun is that I don't think he fully cares present. I think he went in, like, whatever. And then when he made it that far, he was like, oh, actually. But he was still in his kind of, like, like free flow in ways. And they just they were a little to flee free flown, but, but man in terms of the feeds, doctor will is even more entertaining than Dan in terms of the like him in, in downtime. He's always do on the camera when he talks to how we I mean, the whole thing when he's complaining he's always, let me say this, the hardest thing in show business to do is to top yourself because people remember your last act and Dr will along with, Dan..

Philly teachers all over teaches in Brooklyn other guys are not as nice is guys say Gringo, you'll training train with a guy like gringos. Not exactly nice. Are they nicer to you? Now, though, I some of those same guys I hundreds percent, they probably don't even remember because you were the new so I was the only American on the maths back then. Well, you know, they target you. And try to like didn't want to get their ass kicked by the American right? No. Yeah. They didn't like the black belts were they they they had my number, man. They were fucking on point. There's a purple belt. Did you get tapped at all as a black? Fucking attack me. But other than that, I well whatever you want. But if you go keep doing. Yeah. Or past. Yes. It would be great for you. I agree. I'm not trying to promote it. I really did that on my social media. But I was trying to if you have your first lesson. I would love to do. I can't come taping. All right. I'm taping set on I work. I'm working on a new bit. It's actually been really picking up steam. I'm very happy with the new big Jimmy how about this Jimmy tries jujitsu up film it one hundred percent, right. You might be like well look at. This guy's got. What's the difference? One hundred percent right watching go. I thought he was just a funny looking at limbs it was just a heartbreaker Muffin top little fat boy doing well. Stop eating match treats Jimmy one second. I think you're talking about. No, you're in good shape. What did you say a Muffin? Tom Muffin top a little fat. Boy. Fatwa. That's why bothered with Khalil Roundtree junior used to be a fat kid boy to wait. Now. He's donnas that all the girls are high school that now the probably little chubby and whatnot. And not that I judge, but they're looking at Khalil look at you Khalil Roundtree like e man figure, but you know, the funny thing wanna talk since the fights. How amazing was his trip to Thailand. All he did was kick. He kicked era ganders legs. It was bar. Aaron picking that fight. I think I had Khalil. I don't think you did. No. I didn't take how about this. You did. You took stay originally. Do you know why I know that I thought he had arcade lost to a? Because I remember what your pick. I remember that kid Lee. Don't like it. Picked wrong. "David wanted to what they shrimp tar tar with cucumber, apple and radish. Adrian goes for a shrimp and avocado toast, carry us triggered with cucumber watermelon. Juniper as Serano chilly seems like David gets a pretty good comments. Like, he seems to do basically with exception except that one quick fire the entire season Adrian, she gets some comments. But then panamax note that all she got was oil, which I thought was super interesting maybe speaks to maybe a lack of consistency going on. But they're both deemed safe. Antonio any thoughts about these final two. They seem like they were safe. But yet nothing. Really stood out from either of these two to me there. It's probably good at this point to not make bad food and to just sit there in and not put yourself in a bad position. They did they did find as far as that goes. I we didn't get a ton from them in terms of the conceptualizing their dishes, for example, there are little notes throughout like brother is in the in the whole foods. And I think Brandon comes up to him and says what what's up brother what he doing? And what are you looking for in brothers says anything Asian? So it seems like even from the jump. He's just kind of taking this really broad approach to try to find ingredients, and we didn't really get from Eric and Adrian a ton about not Eric at David and Adrian a ton about what they were thinking we had a little bit. But we didn't really get notes that I felt throughout the episodes spoke to problems they were having when they conceive their dishes or problems in prep. So didn't really have much to say other than that just that they they seem like they did. Okay. And they they will live to play another day. All right. Well, let's move into. We talked about the final result tops. Our Kelsey Eric and Eddie Eric ends up getting the win here. A big week for Eric quite think, we'd all said might have gotten a more under the radar edit. Amidst the first few episodes, but the acceptance were being him talking about his incoming child. Jim do we feel like Eric might stand a chance to win this thing now considering that the previously he seemed to sort of like a non factor in the season? He this season is really unique in that. I'm not sure that there's an actual front runner. And as soon as one emerges, they likely they are likely to go home. And so yeah, I think that really everybody has a chance to to to win so far. I mean, they're a little bit of people. Who are I'm worried for like like Adrian, and I don't know if you follow Adrian on social media. But the what she posts online looks totally amazing, and she made her she made quite clear that she is an incredible expediter knows how to run a kitchen in restaurant wars. But I'm not sure that she's made anything I'll show that. I was like man that looks totally awesome. So I'm a little bit worried for her. I know that she's a lot better than that. It's like I say, I only have to do is look at her social media to see she is making really awesome food in restaurants. But for me, I think that really we're still in a point where almost anybody could win which I don't think is that happens usually they're front runners. And I really don't see it this season interning, what do you make of Eric's win here? Do you think it it pretends anything or to Jim's point, do you think it's just sort of like we need to to all head? Jar bats because we never know when someone sticks their neck out. They might get chopped off the next week. I'm on board with Jim I think that nobody's really really stepped up..

"And say it or mean, right because I mean, there was a lot of arrogance at that time with Eric is that's when I think w WB WWE in the ratings. Yeah. Seventy weeks in a row or something like that. Right. But when it switched. Yeah. They never went back. Right. You know, exactly. And that was just you could see the the the ball. Right. See change. And when it switched boom. Like, I said it was done. Yeah. Wow. No had a lot of power. Didn't. I. Are you in the I bring this up all the time because I know Eric ended up working prevents were you with us at the at the target center. I never forget where we were. And when Eric had that meeting in catering and said he will not rest in he'll until he puts a stake, Vincent bands heart. I remember him saying that thinking holy shit. This is really personal. And the fact that he said that and you know, if you say that amongst the boys it's gonna get out, right? It's not going to be quiet. It will even. So he said it as as a team meeting writers guys in the room. Exactly. And then to see him on Vinci's show, just blew my mind. It's funny too. Because I mean, there's a lot of guys in WCW because it was such a crazy place. Like, I, you know, I basically left the same way that that you left to DMC wwco wsng later, where it was just like, you know, you're offered a certain amount of money. But anyways, right and did not really get along with Eric. And when he first came into WBZ's like holy shit. This Astles that a lot of guts to come in here. Right. But then you get to Nome and Eric outside of that WW world was actually a great guy. I really get along with them. And I like him a lot right? You know? And there's a lot of guys like that. For me Booker T was like Scott Steiner DP Reich show. These guys are just miserable that attitude permeated over to to us. Exactly. And then you see them outside of it. And they're all just really sweet guys. Right. Yeah. I know the working conditions weren't good. They really weren't. There was a lot of pressure on me and a lot of pressure on us. And so when I finally walked away from a cold Turkey. Yeah. I really really did. I mean, I Scott Hudson called me, and Scott all always knew the behind the scenes stuff. He called me. And he said I've got a tip that Eric Bischoff is going to be on raw tonight. And I went. I gotta turn this on. Right. I turned it on and I saw him walk down and shake his hand or whatever they actually walked through a promo promo. The Booker T was doing all really Booker was another guy that wasn't a big fan and Eric just walks right through the shot. Okay. And he was like, I I don't think he said it. But I know the look on his face what the. Right. Right. So I and I just turned it off. I said snuff impact or back in back in then TNA had become into a couple of he'll things for them. Do couple he'll promos for them. And this was Vince Russo wanted me to to work for them. Right. And this was probably I don't know two thousand one or two thousand to two thousand three and I did like one show for them. And I told Vince events I just can't do it anymore. I'm I'm completely burned out of the business. And I completely walked away from it. I want wanna tell you. How completely walked away from the business? I was I did not know about your success your success. Okay. Until I dunno last year. Really? Yeah. Interesting. When when I put on the Osama watch wrestlemainia eighteen okay, I saw I saw match. match with you triple h and went holy shit. He's in the main event in wrestlemainia. And then I went back and watched you know, when you beat stone cold in the Rockies, and I'm thinking, wow. That's a deal. Right. Right. Yeah. So didn't watch. So. Yes..

You're showing me affection to like, we'd better ease up on that. But yeah, so we can do all that. Let's see democ. Democrats had power in California for decades and things have gotten worse for the middle class. What hoped you see in California? Now that new will be governor. Yeah. I mean, I'm not very hopeful actually, which is ironic because I love living in Los Angeles. And I can tell you that even in LA there has been and he's just becoming governor now, but the amount of homeless people has increased tremendously will last time. I was in Berkeley, our car got broken into on a pretty nice street Reta steak joined the cargo broken into basically in front of the state joint Borton stakeouts like a nice place and they stole stole my bag. My my sister's parents my sisters parents in law were visiting from out of the country. They were in Berkley just a couple of weeks ago, and they got mugged in broad daylight. They literally ripped the rings off my brother-in-law's mother's fingers, pretty violent. I mean, she was bruised the whole thing. So I think there's some bad trends in cal-. Gornja for sure I mean in in San Francisco, they've got an app to tell you where human poop is on the street. I'm not making that up. I saw somebody shooting up in Berkeley on a on a side street. So there's a lot of trends that are bad in California. Newsome got good hair. He's got a nice smile as all the right things. But he's for big government. He thinks that government can resolve all of these things. And I don't think government, can I think government basically makes all of these things worse. So I'm not very hopeful. Unfortunately for California, which sucks because I I love living, California. And you can't beat the weather, and I really do like the people end in LA. There's a resurgence of some interesting political conversation happening. I mean, you know, Shapiro's here in LA and Dennis Prager here in L A and Peter Teal's here in L A in Sam Harris's ear in LA and plenty of other people are here in LA right now. So there is an interesting intellectual set happening in LA. And I, you know, it's just unfortunate. But if somebody wants made move to Texas. Make me an offer. I can't refuse. Okay. Let's see. Oh, jeez. Player unknowns. Battleground for PS four, I don't know what it is. But I'll check it out. But if someone give me like a contra style game that I can just blow some stuff up, and hopefully, it's a side scrolling. I would love to or more like a like a life force graduates shooter. But I wanna go that way. I don't wanna go that way can't go that way. Don't wanna go this way. I want to go that way or go that way. But can't do it. The other way. All right. Let's see are there any future endeavors with Brett Eric end. Or Heather, I don't wanna give away too much. But I just told you that, you know, potentially. There are some ID w people joining me for my stand up gigs ever thirteenth in in brea. A number November fourteenth in Oxnard. So you might wanna check out one of those shows. And oh and actually Brett's going to be on the show in a couple of days when I get back also. So that's so they so. Yeah. So we're gonna keep talking to these guys who now, you know, we definitely a political disagreements within. It's all good. It's all good people. Okay. Let's see we go. We got about twelve minutes left. And then I got get. I gotta meet J pincher. He's on his like eight steak the day guys only steak, and and basically in club soda and salt is days. So he eats a tremendous amount of steak. I'm still I'm still doing this paleo thing as much as I can. But I've been eating a lot of state because I hang out guy lot. Let's see. Who do you see running in twenty twenty that has the power to actually unite the country from where we're standing today?.
