"Your house. Eric Brown is the president of sighting and limited your contractor for you, Windows, roofing siding, decks and a whole lot more. He knows about your house. So what do you know? Eric? Another six inches of snow. What is one of the best things you can do for your home when we hear Another six inches of snow. Grab a roof Rick and clear the first 3 to 6 Ft. Of snow off your roof. This dramatically decreases the chances of ice dams, building and water backing up under the shingles into your home. Your home is a heat source powered by your furnace. The overhang on your home doesn't have that heat source so as the snow melts at an average winter day The water runs down toward the overhang. Since there is not a heat source under the overhang, the water freezes over a few days. This process can accumulate. I send the shingles above the gutter. This accumulation of ice is called an ice dam. The real problem occurs when outside. Temperatures get above freezing in the snow rapidly melts off the roof. In the ice dam blocks the water from going into the gutter. This water has nowhere to go, but up the roof and under the shingles to seep into the house. This can cause major issues for your home. So we need to refrain in Wisconsin to pull the snow off the shingles and allow the shingles to be exposed to the sun. Warm the area above the overhang and keep the water from freezing and building at ice Dam. You still should break the roof. During the re roof process, citing unlimited uses a waterproof protective membrane under the shingles often called on ice and water barrier to help reduce the chance of water penetrating the home when an ice dam occurs and make another six inches of snow. Not such a worry, Eric, it is Cruz. Exciting and limited. Are your go to contractor here for roofing also replacement windows, Dex Horse sighting. Take the next step. Check them out of sighting and LTD.

"Have the right product for it and that's where the crypto bucks product coming in mind for some of the social media type stuff you know i think the illinois head with the product has ation of deluxe because i was talking with somebody about this today every industry in the past that's been able to be wildly successful. There's it's overly complex right. They take they take what could be straightforward process and over the past twenty or thirty years. They've already to make it so that was remote right. The complexity of the product ended up being the most that prevented others from getting involved. And now you're seeing with like airbnb or expedia or crypto box as you move things closer. Any new product is it. You make it accessible for people who don't have the time or the bandwidth to give a shit about all of the little minutia that goes on. They just quick process. Get in and be able to to do their thing. Why is shop. If i work while right. You know you give the people the tools in an easy way of building site marketing for themselves. Compared to the past where you had to hire a web designer and development people on you know stats unlike the model right exactly all you know back in the day payments or something that we're like a mystery no with how it worked you know and now you can give them a product that says look very straightforward the pricing theory straightforward. It's pretty easy to use and here you've got young you know and again the you know the evolution of it so i kind of you know you always. I know you're probably doing it too. But you could track the crypto industry with the internet and internet and it's almost like the grab it almost looks like they're exact. It's so close. There's nothing new under the sun so when we're looking at it as we map our business engage. You're always looking at okay. What are parallel products in the traditional markets traditional world that you can closely model that you can closely follow because everything has similar trajectory. So if you're able like with compass. Compasses the marketplace models pretty straightforward. But when we're able to look at parallel marketplace models that are non crypto definite correlations and the beautiful thing is you can just kind of like follow similar steps that those companies did or avoid the missteps that those companies had and it makes for such an easier path. Yeah yeah because you don't you don't have to reinvent the wheel right. You know you you know there were things that we looked at the current crypto providers that we were like that. That's that that's not gonna work in a long run. I'm like you know so we're in there. Were other things like. Hey that's great. You know that's gonna work well or weakened even build off that you now so yeah i mean you know you just don't have to reinvent the wheel for something like that for it to be successful and i think when it comes to some of the tech products and and it's it's definitely one hundred percent about the user experience you ever to get user experience wise coin bay successful that's easy. I mean it's easy. It's there would have been looking to grab it's going up going down. It's easier right. It's pretty straightforward. pretty simple. You don't you don't need to reinvent the wheel there you know you can. You can take some things from there and see what's let successful in utilize that drew As wrap things up where. You guys out with crypto boxes. It market ready. Guess testing it. Can people sign up now. Yeah it's it's ready for sign up now. It's been tested countless times. You know We have live merchants on it now. right now we are in the marketing face So we're doing a big email marketing campaign on it Affiliate networks or looking at potential sponsorship ideals.

"I've heard smoking mirrors. You're wasting your money. You're wasting your time when you doing. You're an idiot you now. I mean you name it which of you know. Maybe half of those statements or You know depending on who they team from the green assault. But you know the i i heard it all man for the last three years and i am sitting back on the ballot. It's the validation. There's there's only one way that things can go right. I mean every every economy is moving towards every society is moving towards a cashless society. We're not gonna have dollar circulating so everything's gonna go into bits and bytes digits. Then you've got credit cards. Contactless payment and crypto. And you guys have always led the charge there in all of those right. I think what i was there that was when Clover was just coming out. And you're pushing it hard man because you saw it so it makes sense that that this step is occurred natural volition. It's an it's you know. People think that you know money doesn't eat evolve. And i'm like absolutely it. Does evolved evolved so many times and this is just the next evolution. It's the next step so it's just time to embrace it and you know the use it to your advantage in some people you know whether you call a crystal ball or they just have the ability of the big picture you know. That's what the says you know it's coming on the is going to happen and You know you could be a part of it or just get the way. Sure with crypto bucks. Would he gets taken right now. Which which currencies you guys accept. Bitcoin and bitcoin cash eat theory of light. Cocaine excerpt ripple right now. We heard a little limited based on Risk analyzing all the transactions and then also traded firemen. So you have to have the two working together so you might have the trade environment as if the options on coins. But on your risk monitoring might have four options jer. I'm an risk monitoring is of course a big part of what we do. So and another thing is we really wanna work with the top volume coins. And you don't want to eat credit cards out there with all these different brands. I mean the credit card industry. Has you know four five big brands and that's kind of what. You're looking for crypto. Give people options but you kind of stick with the big five brands. Have you thought about stable coins. We did. We actually tossed around stephen points a lot on because it was a way for us to possibly offset the volatility was to move a transaction immediately into stable coin we found another way of offsetting the volatility which worked even better We will definitely continue to look at stable claims because stable point is a good utility option. Stick decrypt compared to the asset is is great utility option and should we fast really fast and also very very cost. Effective will inform products and services for us you know in the mining industry. Usd t is very common. That's the majority of the crypto. That's getting spent for for us right. Yeah yeah asked about stable planes. We get asked about tether on occasion. We don't need to other so there's really no reason for arrest implemented considering your settlements yes in israel time lee. Yeah yeah yeah yes what. Yeah i won't give the secret sauce in that how we actually do it..

"Credit cards debit cards easy. H you know. I'm anybody who's done those card transaction very familiar so with crypto box who want to have a payment option for merchants that allowed them to accept crypto currency but took away the risk and the volatility and kind of all of the issues the some of the underlying issues that a merchant would not know how to deal with and then would shy away from so we basically white more than what those issues would be you now and then. We develop our product based on answering those concerns. You know The first couple of products we bill were just web based and To be quite honest you. I was the biggest credit covid. I wasn't happy with what i saw. I knew it wasn't a you. You know me. So i was. I wasn't happy with it. You know i scrapped it twice which people just could not understand you know and i just. I knew it wasn't it. I just knew it wasn't so i'm laying on my living room floor. I'm talking to. You won't be sales. And i'm looking at the tv. At i'm like it's gotta be an apt. Gotta be an app. it's gotta be unhappy. Ken a web based adnan. I said we have to have a name where nobody cares about. Line payments somebody knows align payments right and. that's when crypto box. I came out of this conversation. And i was like. That's that's catchy. You know and from there was modeling after some some other products that we look at pay pal. We looked at cash out. We looked at that. We looked at all of these different payment options. And then we said okay. Well sorry cash out but you're ugly designs horror but it works great trae. It's easy was as easy right simple. Pay pal there was okay. Then those okay. We took a little bit from everybody. And that's when we designed the concept for crypto box which was going to be very easy aesthetically pleasing was going to have five or six of the major coins on we were going to immediately liquidate crypto in the background and we were a deposit you know. Us dollars one hundred percent guarantee the dollar figures and work all of that out in the background and and that's what we accomplished. You know so very simply you can download the app. Now you have to register as emergent you go through an on boarding process much like we do with regular merchants and it doesn't matter which processor you'd go to everybody has to be. "Funny. We've got quite a few contacts there with some of the fighters managers and so on and so forth and we have spoken to them on a sponsorship type level as well. There's a possibility at some point. I would say it's not out of the realm of it is. It is an industry that i know quite a few people really guy man right you you brought. You brought light coin to the dolphins coin to the dolphins. That's the claim to fame that went. Us's way tell you the truth. You know i mean that was discussions there. I mean i. I can say it now. Because it's after the fact but there were significant discussions there and then also with one another team in the nfl So there there's a good possibility today. Kid comeback around you know. We've talked to the managers For sure shot. Sure shane. o'malley you know. They manage Quite a few fighters and So so we'll have to. We'll have to see where that goes. I think i think it makes a lot of sense. I don't know who ultimately is decision maker. Big says you could be. I don't know. I don't know could be dana but we have a lot of familiarity with that industry that grew will like also had some exposure in the ufc. Last she has for before. I forget which five but they were on the on the mat which they were on the mad. It was when the charlie's kind of one off sponsorship type things Men aspirin was somebody that john. Ken was you know had become friendly. With and ben. I think attended Foundations extra soccer mountain. Vegas i'm in and there's been a few of the fighters are interested in. Yep though and even you know getting their money involving crypto along with some other athletes as well so it makes a lot of sense. I wouldn't doubt that they're one of the first. That really adopts it at the league type level you know at at an upper level. So you'd mentioned before there's no shortage of these new leagues that are popping up. These clients have to. I mean it's just a different profile than what's what's out there. So how do you find. The ceo's of these companies are are approaching actual aspect of generating the revenue through their business. You know some some of them are you know except for the ones that are really at the top level. They still are having a tough time. You know. I mean especially in the payment space now. I think that will change..

"And then from there you know evolved into alliant payments and then that's when we developed the crypto bucks brand to which is what people constantly out there on social media in the marketplace right now as bucks. Yeah we'll definitely get into crypto bucks. I wanna know you've been in payment processing for a long time. You have more knowledge than ninety five percent of the world if not more when it comes to the industry. How is the industry as a whole talking about the bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. Now is it more uptick. It's more on the uptick. But only with the fintech providers. They're the ones that get it square. Pay pal you know. it's it's really truly intact providers. I notice that there's a few other people that are kind of it. Looks like they have something but they down. I think they're just kind of playing off. The you know the novelty of in the buzz around it but We we need to see more activity there within traditional payment space but it's lack of education. You know as you now. This is a big -education product. You really have to learn it you know. And they they just have not yet but but they're going to have to. I mean sure the future of our industry. What about on the merchant side are you are more merchants. Now requesting payment by crypto. You know they don't request it. You have to find the like minded merchants traditional payment processor we have to find the right markets. Now your pizza place or your you know. Your dry cleaner is not the market. It's your it's your tiktok. Should influence her. That now is making money inch youtuber. It's your blogger. That's really your market right now. For payments when it comes to crypto currency that also the the high risk markets especially in virtual reality east gaming things along those lines. So i think part of it is is is traditional payments people. Make sure that you're marketing. To the proper. The proper clients yet is really what it is. Well high risk that i mean. That was one thing when i worked with you. That stood out to me is obviously. There's a there's a niche there that you're able to carve out because it's just they're almost untouchables right. The they were too complicated for other people to work with. And you're always great about that. And when i first heard about crypto that was my first thought is this is going to be perfect for those kinds of clients who just fine taking. You know traditional methods of payment incredibly cumbersome right. Yeah so is that most of those clients are now looking at crypto. Yeah it's really the high risk clients especially ones that are com clients or they might even be in some sort of tech type. You know business what we're seeing right now. You're seeing this evolution in a eastwards gaming right now. Yeah i'm especially with covid you know you're moving to a lot of this virtual type with draftkings kings fan duels We just we worded win. Cup champions round which was all crypto. And so it. It's really a no brainer. You know you have these people from all over the world who want to enter into these competitive online sports gaming and compete against each other. It's such a cool product that go hand in hand. It makes a lot of sense because when you move crypto around the world as fast as you can for the cost you know. I just wasn't really wasn't wasn't really there from what i was saying. Knowing the payments industry principle. I was a you know. I just didn't see anything. That's when we came up with the concept of breaking into blockchain crypto and you know from their journey through different developers but one of the main things was through through trade show stretch out. I had a bank. That was out in the crowd and i was basically doing blockchain. When one you know at this point presentation Which was very basic by the way but then again i was in a room full of they didn't know any james. Yeah complete so. I was like i got this. You know one of the people out there was asking some pretty interesting questions. Some tough questions. Then at the end of it come to find out the bank. "What's up Everyone welcome to the hatchery. Podcast thank you so much for tuning into the show on today's episode. I am joined by friend and former employer. Eric brown founder and ceo of alliant payments. He has got a new startup. Called crypto box which makes accepting crypto payments easier for merchants everywhere. This isn't a paid spot. Eric's friend and i'm curious as to what. He's building with crypto box as a merchant. It's intriguing to me. Because i know the current process of accepting crypto and getting it converted to fiat is a challenging. Let's say i use different words this show but to keep it a little more. Pg on the intro luscious challenging. It was great to get the dive into that with him. Also air has been a huge proponent for crypto currency with major sports organizations namely the nfl with the ufc. Talk a bit about that. And then we just have a general conversation about where he feels. Payment processing industry is with regards to crypto. And the integration there. So i found this really insightful conversation here because a ton of experience oh screaming at the pick his brain and the arguments always out there right. Is it a currency. Is it a story value. How are we looking at crypto. Really it was good to gauge kind of weird. He feels people are right now. So i hope you guys enjoyed this conversation if you do.
