Fatal Affair Is Obsessed With Insert Shots

"Affair on Netflix With that all about Well, fatal affair. You might not be able to figure this out from the title. But what happens is there's an affair, and then it gives almost fatal of. It's not a good idea so nothing like fatal attraction. So this star's Nia Long who we Love and Omar Epps, and they knew each other in college, and you always had a crush on her. 20 years later, they hook up in a bar, but she's married. She says. This is a bad idea. You gotta leave me alone. But he has other ideas Row he thinks they're destined to be together. And then we kick off the classic stalker movie except for is not a classic stalker movie. This is what they call a Netflix original because it's an original movie on Netflix. On Lee, 50% of that statement is accurate. It is on Netflix. There is nothing original about this movie. We've seen it a 1,000,000 times before. I was hoping it would be like a guilty pleasure where you could, like hurl your kernels of popcorn at the screen because everybody has to act like an idiot in order for the plot to continue. But even the actors look like they're bored. Halfway through this, it's terrible, fatal affair. And that would be 1.5 stars for fetal affair, which is nothing fatal attraction other than even the poster for it looks exactly like the poster for fatal attraction, which, by the way, if people haven't seen it, that's a 1987 film. Watch that instead Okay. Look good. Fine. I'd like to know that there are things I don't have to watch. I feel very great pressure when I'm going through Netflix and Julia and all the rest of it. I'm looking for stuff to watch and think. Well, maybe I should. Maybe it is the argument I had with myself on almost every thumbnail that I stop. Or that now stops on itself and that by the way, I got it. I just want to say one thing about Netflix. I don't really want to see a scene when I'm just on the thumbnail. I don't don't like it when it does. I don't want to see a scene now asked for the scene. And the volume Super out if it's like an action movie it like you fall out of your chair. Yeah, like that. All add for the stereo. You know where the guy was in the chair like this wasn't blown back. Yeah, I agree with you. I've met they accept doing that. Netflix who we see about that.

"Welcome back Brown Girls Ashanti here. The founder of the broncos Guy to politics, the Stop Shop podcast for women of color who want to hear and talk about the world of politics. As we continue with our collaboration with she, the people we're highlighting women from their twenty color to watch twenty twenty less. These are all barrier-breaking women Kerr changing the political landscape this year and beyond. ME, insight thought and Jennifer APPs Addison Jennifer at Edison is the president and CO executive, director of the Center for Popular Democracy, which works with affiliates partner organizations across the country to build a more inclusive equitable society and political institutions that worked for everyone. Jen. How are you doing today, i. Doing as well as anybody can be expected I'm surrounded by family I have been able to be in close contact with you know parents in loved ones, and of course I know protected with the benefits of a good union workplace so I, you know all things considered I. I'm feeling very blessed. We love to hear that in before we start the interview we were chatting in. We're talking about being on the road so much doing this work. What inspired you to get involved in community? Organizing I? Mean I think my mother was just born this way you know I grew up a black woman in the state and city that has been named the worst place in America to be Black Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I know most people don't think of black folks when they think of Wisconsin, they think of like beer cheese in the packers, but you know there have been generations of deeply entrenched. Racial segregation in in problems that have. Led to this dichotomy of Wisconsin, being one of the best places in America if you are a white child in the worst, if you are black and so I think I recognized that from an early age felt really passionate about it in a high school student I became really politicized around the around school funding around the idea that you know. Schools in the suburbs were getting twice as much per pupil. Than you know the school that I was going to in the city of Milwaukee. You know the reality is. Is that every single thing that we hold to be sort of like a part of the American dream was. Fought for and won by people organizing their communities in taking collective action in so You know I feel very blessed to be able to spend my life. Really working with folks to help as many people as possible in this country, find their voice empower. That is that is very powerful. What you just said. and. You mentioned being from Milwaukee. Were in the middle of the virus, and we're seeing it as a city where the majority of the black population there is infected with the virus in that has also just spur conversations to about how so many people still had to go to work, and how are essential workers a lot of them? Grocery workers aren't getting a fair wage in Eve. Let so many different campaigns including fight for fifteen. So how are you connecting at the moment all the work that you've been doing with fight for fifteen for people to have a fifteen dollar an hour wage in what you're seeing with essential workers who are putting their. In their lives on the line right now to make sure that we are able to get the benefits that we need and say stay in our homes. I mean first of all. What we saw just as pass Tuesday in Wisconsin was a travesty, a failure of democracy There's no way around it. You have a city. The largest city in the state. Multiple, times, the population of any other city. That is used to having over one hundred fifty polling places that on Tuesday, in the midst of a crisis in which we are not supposed to gather in large crowds, crowds over ten had five polling locations open for a critical election had A. Tens of thousands of people who had requested absentee ballots who had not received them as of Election Day, and the you know the impact on on my community on my people is is not an accident, right? It is the product a decade's worth of policy passed by elected officials who are incredibly hostile towards the city of Milwaukee on the city's behalf towards sort of neo liberal You know business oriented. Democrats who have allowed the city's most vulnerable populations to suffer in struggle and become the scapegoats of the, and so you know I'm really grateful for groups like black leader, organizing communities in the Laki and leaders igniting transformation who are organizing You know black folks. Brown folks in in the city to really demand the future they deserve in at the end of the day. All of these campaigns, the fight for fifteen, the fight for paid sick days. Many people don't know that. In Milwaukee we passed a referendum with more than two thirds of the voter support to require any business in the city of Milwaukee to provide paid sick leave earned sick leave to their workers, and that a law that was passed by voters was overturned by preemption at the state level. At the at the request of the crack mayor when we talk about the now eighty seven percent of the people who have died of Covid nineteen in Wisconsin are black. We have to understand that this is a consequence of lack of. Political Power and UVA intentional suppression of in particular Black Communities in the state of Wisconsin, and so it's important that we're having this conversation in the context of she, the people of you know a movement of a women of color who are demanding more than just to see at the table, but who are demanding real power. That, we can use to transform the lives of our people. That's what women of Color braying and I. Think you know it's if we look at what's happening in Wisconsin through the Lens of women of Color, we begin to understand the multiple layers enrich raises on in sexism and capitalism are creating. This you know are exploding the impact of this crisis in places like Milwaukee, Detroit and New York. City another's

"An ice show with our apps who's in a new film called trick interest in on demand on this very day he's diehard cowboys fan loves the nets as well so we'll talk a little bit of hoops with omar epps when he returns to our our show right here in studio this hour has come down the news is come in the back from the from the imaging center chris brockman what do we have over there indeed the news here when you want to do you know what let's just gimme gimme them from ian rapoport murray confirmed that patrick homes suffered dislocated kneecap but not significant enough where there's any additional damage he'll seek additional opinions to be sure the planet for him to return this season after a brief app a brief absence so whatever that may brief absence starring patrick mahomes nice and harrison for the new harlequin romance novel a brief absence really young eighty four year old man goes away an entire city yearns entire nation let's get into it here green base sunday night football looks like matt moore are you ready for some football matt moore that game yet flex no way dude it's still five and to kansas city against either five and two green bay or six and one green bay and in matt moore's he's the story sad it's not the sexy quarter i mean obviously battle of mahomes and rogers we have been robbed that happens only once every four years we've been robbed bummer still could be a super bowl matchup man that's true then home for minnesota matt will we got you know what there's been a large part of this country it does not get the platform to say kirk cousins and matt and when you when you ask the question of are you ready for some football and normally that is a rhetorical question now there's really an answer the answer is yes matt moore and and kirk cousins that's just a regular game not a monday niger at tennessee matt moore against we assume ryan tannehill now can i does former miami quarterbacks and i say this it's like maybe they should get jay fiedler to flip the coin even though it's in tennessee jake add penny cornell it's in tennessee so and by the way you can't have mahomes play on the mexico city all those folks and then the exact click you can't have him play so brief absences after week twelve one would think right he's going to get the four weeks yeah you could you on that shield he comes back back and they put him on that field there's no way they would you can't do it unless that's now field turf if it's grass you can't do us look into the l zero can you look into the field situation in mexico the thaad situations this hot rod tomo concert before that last year is that what it was yeah there was a concert have you seen what's going on in mexico city right now that's where the concert el chapo son okay they look at you going hard news right there yeah they're they're not gonna put him on that field anytime and so then it then he's back for oakland at new england into home for denver at chicago which the sunday night and then home for the los angeles chargers to wrap things up they need healthy for those five week yeah for sure and just let's just put it out there and then we'll get your news it's marcus mariota and ryan tannehill not marcus mariota and ryan tannehill it is the most botched quarterback roster in in sports right now marcus mariota ryan tannehill not tanny hill and not mariota okay now all that said as well that wasn't joe buck calling and the yankees last night that was joe davis who's terrific at it but our buddy trainer sports illustrated was just on it before the game saying can't wait to see all the pimple bitch about joe buck and then in many on all night long tweeting all the people just bitching about how bad buck is calling the baseball game yeah i told did i tell you that screen-grabbed when i was calling bucks panthers a whole bunch of people that were complaining how biased i was against the panthers calling the game screen-grabbed it and send it to joe buck saying now i know how it feels this is what i say this every game i honestly i just call i just want ended a good game i wanted half as good a game in tottenham hotspurs we saw between the bears and the raiders the week before that's all i wanted to listen trying to think you're just clearly against their team i don't get it how much love do i have for the mccaffrey family just are let's get to the rest of a news update brought to you by our friends at honda go four please yet mikey brockman with a special live report rock men with the news brought to you by the twenty twenty honda civic lineup always fun civic sedan the sporty civic coupe spacious of catch back there really is one for everybody styles so having your local honda dealer in front of the civic for you today chris we just talked about mahomes the other great game we were just talking about raven seahawks i saw this quote from ravens defensive coordinator on martindale talking about dogs about russell wilson man how great he is in the pocket outside the pocket and martindale is wondering whether he should bring pressure russell wilson or sit back and and put eight guys in coverage it's sorta like playing against steph curry basketball he said you can pick them up escort and he's going to try to drive by you or you can slack off and he's just gonna pull up and hit a three heat it's a great comparison the steph curry of the NFL he is playing right now lights out man i will say this though you can't discount tom brady at age forty two what he's doing it's not the gaudy numbers aren't there i guess but if the next step is a lou the whole season comes down crashing jared stood him or cody kessler no thanks to use the boston phrase matt castles now walking through that door but brady doesn't brady gets the ball and brady when he sneaks doesn't dislocate his kneecap like twenty-four-year-old forty two year olds go and get two touchdowns when they sneak it twenty four year olds in the NFL dislocate their kneecap that's different the patriots and everybody else crazy against though we talked about saquon barkley so yeah it's official saquon and evan ingram will play on sunday against the cardinal sterling shepherd is out still dealing with that concussion so you know two thirds of the weapons for daniel jones it looks like everybody except anthony brown oh yeah just gonna get alloys yeah go forth there yeah so clarence hill the fort worth star telegram said saying that all the these injured cowboys randall cobb lael collins amari cooper byron jones zack martin tyron smith they're all back all paul tentatively on track to play on sunday huge against the big that's a huge let's anthony brown defensive back he's the only one it'll be down for sunday night yeah how big is this one it's a monster game i mean alan chris and the gang sunday night football tune in man that's a big huge monster NFC east game because these huge game for now he's the one of these it's one of these two teams wins the division and if the eagles could take this one at home right now next time they faced each other let's take a look at it week sixteen at philadelphia in the cold cold lincoln financial who ooh man so there we'll have they will they will the winner of this has a leg up in week seven and the next time they see each other will be in nine weeks to months that's a tough that's much church yup absolutely right i'm guessing that'll be the last game iraq later iran let's week six no week sixteen weeks seventeen oh sorry eagle are still a long way away to try and figure out why we're still a long way long way away to try and figure out another sneaking a game this week raiders packers the packers sealed deal with some injuries here at the wide receiver spot drano allison and marquez valdez gambling did not practice MVS so bad news there for green bay's davante adams z. is he still out to you still to it's unreal we picked up allen hard by the way in man spread centerpiece which by the way it's a major sick or circling the drain with patrick mahomes so our first it just understand this that vinnie paul trophy that sitting right here on the right here let's take a look at it and stare at it yeah you know we we just take a look at it putting our water bottles next to it we gotta have a little bit more respect for the trophy okay it's like that vinnie paul trophy in the allison chains league let's take it all in and soak it all in and treat the treat the space a little bit more respect everybody let's not put at cobalt one of them could be one of my water bottles i understand all treat this with respect because it's not going to last very long our first draft choice was davante adams young our second draft choice was todd gurley third draft choice was damian williams got a big problem with him yet and we figured let's go double down and get patrick mahomes after that so last night mahomes is around during the commercial break long lasting you he's like this look serious it's bad what are we doing okay pick up we picked up matthew stafford on the spot totally fine with that i haven't been my big league or you're off yet it's big oh it's bigger it's all right it's marquees brown speaking of that breivik big-league shirley good it seems delicious for like ten seconds and then you gotta spit it out exactly big-league trying to move on here mark brown down practice on friday so keep an eye on that as we head into the weekend steve i'm said today on local radio in arizona patrick peterson won't be traded so that's good news for karnal patrick peterson's back back lockdown i assume golden take sterling shepherd right is out okay chris herndon looks like he's not gonna play monday night for the jets we picked him spread centerpiece that's another he's not a god what the hell us well hell happened off fantasy i can't say but i know what to say on the air what fabio i mean blaming on fats me me the much wine in it we got a committed drafted sitting with you what i mean how was it listen i three years me solo championship finals appearance we were sitting i know but okay i'm not going to like really say no to you you're in charge and oh yeah you're such a wallflower chris just never think what's on your mind manager fighting now that you always have that filter between your brain and your mouth yeah that's true i'm just saying you know you were there teams in the tank you're the you're the guy when we get when we get we get dabo swinney on his show the number one coach in college football not named nixon even if not the number one coach in college football who doesn't call all these other shows he hangs up the phone and chris brockman goes into the mike and ninety million dollars a year sure he doesn't want to pay them players this morning that won't turn to me and say i don't think we should draft damian williams just saying you might be says judge has avoided a severe injury cost him this season but his right knee is jacked up expected to miss a you know about three to four weeks to start the regular season he's not traveling to new york today staying back in new orleans for some further testing alvin gentry said he believes williamson hurt his knee in the pelicans game against the spurs on october thirteenth so bummer there you know we're all we can excited to see this guy is it the same knee and duke same name from the shoe explosion let's look that one up not positive cash you explodes against north carolina.

"Welcome in Charlie Epps golf hour here on SP nation radio. Charlie. Good morning who says golf is a quiet. A lot to get into today. I know this is gonna be fun because we were talking a little bit off air, Charlie. We obviously have different viewpoints on this whole Matt Kuchar situation, which is funny to me because if you guys remember if you listen about three weeks ago, maybe or a month ago, we brought this topic up in disgust it, and Matt Kuchar paying his caddy in Mexico a certain amount of money, and then it kind of died down and then this week the mainstream media, right? Everybody's talking about. I talked about it on my show during the week that I do on the network. So it's kinda interesting to me that this is something we address, but we're gonna get into a deeper, Charlie. But it it it blew up this week because of some some more comments about the court of public opinion, and everybody's going to feel sorry for the for the poor guy. And I understand that the one thing though, is never mentioned as expenses. And why the caddy's do get that incredible amount of money. Ten percent of a million dollars for four days work, but it's not four days work that the professional caddy has a sixty seventy thousand dollar cost of doing business traveling the world, and you gotta take that in consideration. All the caddy's at went to. Mexico for the event property were spending between two thousand and three thousand dollars of their own money. Not guaranteed. Anything the gentleman that caddy for Matt home home game, no expenses. So what is right? I don't know. We're going to look at Matt has finally acquiesced in and has has done. I think very fair. Yeah. This point you released a statement will read that and get to that a little bit later on in the show, you you also agreed to to send some more money the caddy's way, but it has been a tough week for Matt Kuchar just in terms of as you said public opinion and people's perception, especially if you haven't been following the story and had not heard about this until this week. So we'll look at that. Also, the Pebble Beach.

"Oh, that don't they even say haven't you ever seen dead poet's society? I know. Yeah. I know. That's cute. Name is Sean Patrick Robbins, our country something like that was the main kid who kills himself. Yeah. But he walks up to house, and he's like, you got us this patient. She's my cousin or whatever. And like, they're like, okay. And then they tell the patient that she's going to be with house, and she like smiles like as if that means something to her. I did not understand me. Neither I thought she was gonna like trick him and somebody also because the whole premise of the first episode is like everyone's Aligarh. Everyone's lying keeps saying what are you saying? Is you can't trust a patient to give you the true actual truth. You great. So that's why like they don't even interview the patient ahead of time. They're just talk straight up today. It was weird because I was like at telling she knows what's wrong with her. She's not lying about something. I don't fully I, but then also it feels like this episode should feature the creation of this medical unit that they're all working in learning that it's like for like, very rare cases this group of like expert doctors that house recruited. And that becomes like a premise throughout the episode of like, why did you recruit Omar apps? Why did you recruit the brunette? Why did you recruit the handsome long haired, doctor who's like doing probably could pull up like fucking hell their name? I only know Omar Epps, and that guy that cute girl. As if we're not talking about a network drama that would feature exclusively attract this is the hottest team of doctors anyone's ever seen. I will say I I can't believe I never watched house because it seems so fun and simple to watch. But Hugh, Laurie is truly magnetic every moment. He's all. Yeah. Yeah. Robert, Sean, Leonard is that robbers, Sean, Patrick Fleming. One hundred seventy six episodes of this show, man craze home. Why couldn't I be on just one? With one hundred and seventy six episodes and forty four minutes and episode in patients coming in and out. I couldn't play one fucking guy with like a weird foot or cough. I hate this fall. So it's finale it was so different that I wondered okay on every episode does house talk to like five patients that he thinks are dumb asses. And then he has one important case going on. Right. Because that was it seemed like it was kind of he was really dismissive of anyone who came in who didn't seem to have a serious problem. And let's talk about the one who came in. So like Lisa Edelstein has boss is like you need to go to this patient. He's orange and he's like, John Giannis, and she's like orange, and he goes in there, and he's like your orange. Don't you know, you're like you eat too many carrots? Your wife is cheating on you. I was like what are you talking about? He's like logic was that your wife must be cheating on you. And he's like she's he's like what he's like. Because your wife didn't tell you that you're like she. I mean, she's gonna pay what he was saying. I think what he meant was like, she's not paying attention to you at all clearly because or else she would've said, hey, Hon. Your jr. Tam? Okay. The he went through that so fast. He's like, well, that's the thing about the whole episode is that he powers, and that's what made me thinking that wore maybe this premier was the pilot was two hours. And they edit it down or went over an hour, and they edited down for Amazon or something because I was I was truly not confused. But I was like, oh, I want the information as to why how t know these I how old's like four hours. A right. He said something like, oh, four hours a week to this unit. And it was really confusing really like did speak through even like. Oh, sorry. No. He's of put the boss. It was. He was like he clearly she had fired wanted to fire him or something had they been married. I don't know..

"It to me it feels like it's been bubbling for awhile as mike epps versus kevin hart who's funnier by the way mike epps for kevin hart if you ask me kevin hart if you're asking me if mike epps if you're asking me it's michael blackson and then there's that walk one question i gave my honest answer like that that kevin hart you know like the play that he plays you know he goes the the the love route you know what i mean like nah bro it's all good but if you notice there's little subs in there too when when he's when he's talking about this all love there's you know there's there's blockbuster movie saw do you think mike is just jealous because a lot of comedians have have came for for kevin hart pause you know what i'm saying like you know and they all try to drag them you mean michael blackson did that as well you know what i'm saying but i don't know is it jealousy or or or is a fax my god maybe a little bit of both communities are very competitive too and they're always looking out what the other person's doing tabs radio people comedians are jealous because and i've heard a lot of comedians that we've interviewed a lot of comedians a lot of comedians have told me that themselves that it's tough to see another comedian make it made it exactly yeah they're always keeping tabs and then maybe this jealousy harbor it and then now comes out true to to kevin kevin can stand to be a little funnier though you know what i'm saying trash but i mean he's getting a lot of movies he's done from oversaturation think i can i'm just saying like it's tough when you put out a lotta movies managed major major that he's doing that's not hate i'm just saying it's made him a millionaire you know five thousand times over you fill me up but but there goes the comedy there goes the stand up you know what i'm saying that that's what happens start making corny movies okay you're talking that talk right now i see talking corny movies your stand up suffers it does an older facts i guess you're right but still i'm just saying cups you think so yes who is more successful out of corners that make him funnier drake beyond say not necessarily right but he's still funny guy and he's a good guy because he does your husband work for charity and listen to a lot of stuff i'm not here well i i'm sure mike apps would love to be at kevin hart's level of course absolutely a lot of comedians with people yeah height wise like kevin ready to go okay la's hip hop morning show the cruise show one of six number one for here paul garcia was sports i never call the play let's talk about free peaks saturday free thanks thanks to him blaze pizza two to five that's the place to be to get free pizza any blaze pizza location here in southern california yeah now he did hint at the fact that he may be at the culver city location in the tweet yeah yeah and we actually sent out our social media guy jason and our check in a few minutes from out there so we'll see if it's already because you've got to figure the autograph people are gonna and they want their jerseys autographed already basketball show and hecklers and haters like crews will probably as well see what he's out there then you're going to be probably again anybody's pizza day two to five welcome lebron to la now you're probably wondering why he's doing this and widely pizza because he owns blades yes he owns ten percent ablaze putting money in his pocket what are you to go and order another pizza are you gonna order drink yeah you won't make some money making money today hey all right onto the world cut man today eleven o'clock france belgium today listen i said at a last week i liked belgium to win last week i like him to win today they're going to go to the final i like france's went by belgium's going to win today man they're on a.

"Test test test what you want to the baritone stylings of my man omar epps actor icon at this point i know you like what are you talking about but you're i this point author i just finished your book from fatherless to fatherhood which i wanna talk about and it's crazy because this is like the first time i've ever really got to talk to you and of course we did higher learning which was ninety four i wouldn't you think back like ninety four like it was a whole other world stam near twenty five years ago that's crazy ninety four we were shooting that shit in ninety four and i always remembered this and it was so funny and i want to see what you remember about that movie set but like we were young we were like a method active shit it was like you know racially divided set it was like you know the skinheads and it was like you know like the black dues it was ice cube busta rhymes you regina king and i'm like the fuck it's kim as i wanna hang out with the cool motherfucker fuck over your chilling but i never forgot this and i want to ask you how you got this i remember we were shooting higher learning in early i think it was like february unknown about january of ninety four these true stories this is a true story and obviously at the time you know there was a lot of anticipation on a young artist name not he he he'd actually been in my first film soundtrack zebra head halftime he had live at the barbecue and like at the time there was source magazine it was like he's coming out with this record is coming out with this record and we knew it was coming out in the spring i didn't know the date like i wasn't like now the internet like you know like saturday it's coming out or two but you knew it was coming but i remember one time i'm walking by your trailer and i also remember you were friends with little daddy shane who is big daddy kane's brother and he had just rhymed on canes records i was like what the fuck like this and i was very sick we were filming ireland because i got really thin stomach shit our yeah so but like you know i was also trying to stay my character in my zone but you mother fuckers chilling and i remember walking by your i distinctly remember walking by your trailer and hearing as e on life's a bit and nobody was really fucking it wasn't like we were not cool that but it was just kind of like we didn't really know which other like you had a bunch of people with you in the chair not a bunch few people and i go what the fuck is somebody was like that's not the matic shade never like word and like they were like yeah get the fuck outta here remmy but my question to you is i added you get that tape i mean the statutory limits are fine so how do you get it and like what do you remember about you remember like me a member remember all of this in detail so one of the new deal johnson's production company that they called me up the doing fittings or something like that right so i went up to the office and cousin g whitney or shame one of them was with me little daddy shane shame like it's like oh because it was the closest thing to big daddy kane i was like fuck it shea that's the homie so i walked by this office right and i see a pile of cassettes right and i guess it was like they were listening to stuff for the soundtrack or whatever and i literally i walked by his office and i see a blue cassette and it said nozzle on it and i was like e il so backtrack and i think he was even my cousin g or shane was whitney i said show us the album what and i just got the shit sitting on a pilot tastes like i felt like it was so disgustingly disrespectful and so our habit swipe that i'm getting i'm gonna take care of this and this was like about africa when we shot at broke rule number one of the poor stereo pockets and in fact i believe their record came on april this is.
