I do want an a light note. Just say thank you to all the kind messages from last week. Let your haters be your motivators and we're all just trying to get through this. We see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm just trying to do my thing. Eat some chicken wings at the oasis. Good time at boreham. I've given them way too much effort and listen. Thanks giving is coming up. And i went to the. Oh as as good time bohrium. How many times. Can i say this on thanksgiving night. One time in college. You know like your parents. Everybody hung over from the turkey already and a bunch of my buddies rice like looks good always and they picked me up a week. Came home at four o'clock in the morning we had the time of our lives. And you bet your ass. I had a second thanksgiving buffet. Dinner aunt the strip club. I knew somebody right. Now's doing desirable. Don't sleep on it until you've tried it. This was that. "So when we're sitting there waiting for scotty to come around the corner one. This guy comes out of the strip club and he's got a business sudan now. It doesn't really necessarily mean your power player. You have any money you could wear a suit and you know being embalmer at a funeral home of professionals wear suits and that's no hate no shade embalmers funeral homes. But you know what i mean. I'm just saying it doesn't necessarily mean you're just a stock market guy. This guy comes on the strip club. Two o'clock in the afternoon goes to the back of his car which is a nice high end model literally. Pops the trunk gets out a full thing of listerine mouthwash swigs. It spits it out. Put the top back on and they get into his nice vehicle and search driving off ashley or like no fucking do you i. We're seeing it. I don't like calling the cops but when somebody's drunk i do feel like it's my my public duty like if you're going across eight lanes on the highway. Yeah i'm probably going to go police and let them now. You know we gotta buick lesabre go and row but either way it was so wild then an older gentleman probably navia. Two years old comes out. He's got shit. Kickers on suited and booted big cowboy hat gets in the back of his camry. Though he didn't get the back of his camera gets the front the driver's seat and he. When i say this guy win over curb took air. He was literally lifted grandpa. I'm gonna call him. Grandpa john just lifted in the air hits the fucking curb and keeps going and was like i do this every tuesday. It was nuts. I said well listen to. This is a good if this is a good time to break down in front of a strip club. Did i want chicken tender basket. You bet your ass i did. Did i go in and get it. I did it so another crazy thing. That's happened to ashley. Is one of her friends. Got her this psychic reading of her soul mates going to be on an oetzi. I will find the information. Try and link it. there's an oetzi. Soulmate say psychic. Maybe i i don't know what like medium this is if they are a medium. I don't know what to call this. But all ashley had to do was give them her name and her birthday and and what gender she was interested in so check. I want you know i like dudes is my birthday. That's my name and the guy this lady since her back. A rendered sketch almost kind of looks like a a crime sketch. You know what. I'm saying on the five o'clock news like if you see this man please cold nine one one. But the guy's really hot. And i'm going to share it on instagram when this podcast comes out so it's fresh to death on ya but this guy is really hot now. I don't know what this is. A generic photo that she sending to all these women. And i kind of want to submit to her. And just see if i get the same photo within ashes. They don't do that because what you get somebody else. And then you're like what if i not supposed to be javon. I'm i'm of course. Supposed to marry jeff but i kind of think this woman might be scamming as well however though this guy is very good looking and looks very much like somebody ashley could date so i think i really should put this out there like a flyer if you will and i should put it out there out on the streets put it on some telephone poles. Put it up on instagram on the twitter. All the things and see if we can find this guy. He's kind of ethnically ambiguous like he could be just like a cool sexy european man he could be middle eastern. It could just be like like six generations removed italian. I don't know but he's got dark hair. It's a black and white rendering. So i guess at smart on her part because she leaves it up to the interpretation of whether or not he's got hayes aligns blue eyes she's not trying to get too specific and that's kind of why i think is a little bit of scam but i'm also here for it. Ladies and gentlemen if you are a into sing of you can get your soul. Mate sketched on oetzi. Apparently it was only twenty five bucks which you know mama loves a frigate deal up. Tell you what hold on thirsty again. We gotta put it out there. I've said it. You got a manifest it you gotta ask the universe for it and maybe up you know go to a crime scene and have them dry. Yup who they think you're going to be with because at this point. What do we have to lose. You know what what do we have to lose everything and nothing at the same fucking time is what it is an answer this weekend. Heather would doing about the wedding. And i'm like i don't know what the fuck to tell you guys anymore. It was changed to next june. i don't know. can we get to italy. We've got no food we have. No jobs are pets. Heads are falling up. I don't have any answer. And i have an obligation to my wedding guests at some point late. Let them know by at least january right because they have to know whether or not they use our booking international flight but we really can't international flight. Look i don't know what to tell anyone swamped. I've got to tell these. Huskies that keep emailing me. Hold onto your britches in your passports. And i'll let you know when i know when they know where the fuck to go. I mean i'm just trying to get through the holidays at this point but you bet your ass at some point i will be thin in a white dress and the attention will be on me because i have been waiting last time to be bride. It not really. I will have that moment. Come hell or high water weather it. It's i dunno at a chick-fil-a off the side of eighty five or maybe at the oasis. Good time emporium. I actually bet they have a great banquet hall is set up the food on the stage and you know i feel comfortable on a stage. Maybe that's my plan. B might after crack. Open a door those grandma to die but it is what it is at this point and the people sank. Just do it in the backyard. I can't do it in the backyard absolutely not you tell me to get married in the backyard. Because i've got a lot of friends and that's not a braggadocio thing to say. It's i don't have a big family most of my family's dead therefore my friends are my family. And if i have three people at the wedding or three hundred. Somebody's gonna get upset about it. So i'd rather just wait and do the damn thing when i want. But it's just like innate pressure for anybody to have anything in their life like to be able to give somebody in answer at a really kind of taps into my friends who are in a very organized and scheduled and rent regimented. A girlfriend espy. She's like so. What are you gonna do. And i said i don't know i don't know i do. You know what you're doing six months from now can you fuck. Tell me 'cause. I can't tell you and i've said this since the beginning of anybody thinks that i'm getting any money from like the country of italy like i am italian jeff italian jeff is the biggest scammer on this planet in the best cutest way you know what i mean but just like oh yeah. We're not getting money back from italy. So either we push the six years and we got legally married at the courthouse and then just have a big party over there. But that that money's on leaving the country you know what i mean so i'll let you know when the end vines.

"The phone rang. Podcast is a deer media. Production welcomed the absolutely not podcast. Where we do the most in the lease at the same damn time. I'm your host heather mcmahon. Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to another episode of the absolutely not podcast. I'm your hoops heather fan. How the hell are you take. What my assholes clench because we were having some technical difficulties over here at gaza mcmahon. Wow did not warm that up at all. I just recorded entire episode with my sister. The georgia law lady. And then i realized her microphone was short-circuiting the entire time so i've got faulty equipment so anybody is listening to this. Sin new gear. So we're having to start from scratch. Were a catch up to speed. I mean i know is friday the thirteenth this week and i know that mercury in retrograde and something else fucking happening but it's also i'm just chalking it up to anything that i've tried to get done recently. Just hasn't it hasn't worked out the way it was supposed to like. Actually kind of not get aggressive. But i've just had some shit going on some business deals. Were trying to close. things are get wonky. It's like. I'm really trying to do the most and i'm getting the lease back and it's frustrating and i know that everybody i feel like is just shut down like what we're going into a second wave of covid. Well it's always been here. But i guess it's you know. Are we going to shut down again. What's happening nobody knows. Do you know i don't. Has anybody called uncle charlie. Does he know what the hell's going on sure doesn't. It's like the wild wild west everywhere. Nobody has any idea. Can you make plans. Can you not are we gonna kill grandma. let's avoid it. Lana misinformation. I mean it's just everything. I'm not gonna go down that rabbit hole. What i am going to get into something funny. That happened this week. So i recorded all this show with my sister. I only have one work. And mike so map to retell the story as best as i can know. You'll love the georgia lady. Shutout to her. So ashes car broke down oliver electronics are. Tv's went out. Our cars all went out this year. Like what's going on. If there's some weird tilt some sort of electric shift in the universe. And i gotta go outside. Put my bare literal bear paws bare feet into the grass and get re grounded with the earth. I don't know what that does. But i think i need to do it because we just been having our electronics crap out left and right and i know that they often say that has do mercury in retrograde but either way i mean everything. My cell phones fucking working. Nothing's work long as she calls me she cannot. The highway calls me last wednesday at like two o'clock. Heather my car is shaking off are going off. Oh my god. What do i do. I pull off to the closest thing you see on the highway. She just happened to pull off in front of a strip club. Now this is strip club. Otp which is outside the perimeter. There's it p in atlanta which is inside the perimeter and otp. Which is outside essentially to me. Means kind of the suburbs so she pulls up in front of the oasis emporium. And i'm like ashley. I know exactly where you are going to swoop in mama's gonna get getcha. I'm not even kidding you. We sat in this parking lot and laugh for a good solid eight and a half minutes while we waited on scotty from triple eight showa this strip club. Parking lot was a cast fucking characters. Everybody was so lit. It was unbelievable. First of all if you wanna get aaa or a tow truck or you wonder where your landscapers are all the tow trucks in atlanta and all the landscaping trucks in atlanta are just sitting outside the oasis at two o'clock and i figure you know when when the lawn team comes. They usually come pretty early and then they're probably done for the day they're like let's go titties. Don't blame them at all. The wild thing is an listen. Triple as a great service okay. Non sponsored would love to be but scotty from aaa showed up and literally six and a half minutes and of course it quoted as thirty to forty. He came barreling around the corner. Which made me think he was actually in the strip club which is parked on the other side of the building. We couldn't see him. You know what i mean. Like he got there too quick. It was just enough time to slug. Back a michelob. Ultra and then signed his tab. You know what i'm saying and so we're sitting in the parking lot laughing our asses off and so scotty comes around the corner. His oakley's are so tight. I want you to imagine like oakley's that are just embossed into his skin on the side of his face. He has never taken these oakley's off. They have been on his face since eighty seven. It is what it is point blank period. That's what's up literally. No lie scotty. Pulls up and he goes. Oh you guys you guys Broke down for waste. Let me tell you what. It's not the best rep club in atlanta. It's the pink pony which is the best. And i'm like i already love that. Scotties telling us one he goes to strip clubs to which ones are the best now. I've been to pretty much every strip club in atlanta. I'm very proud of my city Places like tampa. And i don't know maybe vegas will try and say that they have the most strip clubs. They don't atlanta has maybe. We don't have the most when we have the best first question though. I was wondering wanted to pop my head in. Just kinda see what. The vibe in the strip club was did seem like there were about two hundred plus outside so i didn't want to expose myself to whatever you know not only but dust but also the cova dustin there was trying to stay safe. But i'm wondering so in atlanta it's a very particular thing that the ladies and gentlemen are fully nude. I'm talking no loincloth. Not even a tampon. You know balls to the wall literally. But i'm wondering. Were they not wearing pants but they had face masks on so if anybody's been doing strip club recently please let me know with the vibe. Is how the energy with the smell in the room. Is you know what. I mean because i drive at a strip club anytime. I've been to a strip club which is quite often. I have a really good time at strip clubs. I don't know what it is about. Strippers exotic dancers edges. Just have this familiar face whether you know me. 'cause you follow me or not. I think because. I have kind of a fuller neck. So it's like i'm very approachable. Unlike that friendly chubby friend. But i have nice high. Cheekbones and kind is at the humble. Brad if you guys know what that is. I think that immediately the dancers are like oh. I know her from high school. Or maybe we danced together. Because i got gigli tits like there's something about it that it seemed very approachable. I can literally say without a doubt on my dead father. Any strip club. I've ever been to. They always approach me and say hey girl how are you could see you like. They know that. I know the we know that. At some point in our lives we probably work together. And that's a beautiful thing but it was so curious and i. I should have inquired scottie. Scottie were you inside. What's the vibe were. They wearing masks. You know at this point does it matter. Probably not. But i just wanted to get the lowdown also scott immediately. Said he's i first problem. You're driving to bmw. You need to get rid of this. Get yourself a truck. Trucks are reliable.

"These rules are new right now. And they are based on the experience prince of US wanting to know about three men and a baby. Okay here we go. This is in doing the kids op three rules one. We you can't Google it. We cannot Google page. We watch the film again because we've all seen in it. Yes so we cannot watch it again. Three three we can't ask no can't ask anyone that we have a personal relationship with. We can ask ask for if if we read something where somebody tries to tell us. We have to stop reading it right away and we have to recuse ourselves the site we have to accidentally overhear the facts about three men and a baby. That's right five five. Oh Oh sorry six if anyone tries to tell us the answer stranger. Can I get the song louder my headphones I turn myself down in my headphones. I WANNA be inaudible if anyone tries to tell us a stranger we have to punch them in the mouth. Seven was this adult version if we stop I if we mean any of the stars of three men and a baby. Profit, not politics: Trump allies sought Ukraine gas deal
"Self it turns out that Republicans don't trust Democrats very much to hold one on a standard why well because of Republicans do a thing it is considered very bad if Democrats in the exact same thing it is considered unquestionably decent let me give you a perfect example big headline from NBC news today trump blames energy secretary Rick Perry for Ukraine call at center of impeachment inquiry it's a present from his dad Rick Perry why because Rick Perry was pushing for the call why was Rick Perry pushing for the call because you wanted to open up natural gas and oil development in Ukraine to the west why does this matter because then the eight P. has a piece called profit not politics what's some from the allies did in Ukraine quote as Rudy Giuliani was pushing Ukrainian officials last spring to investigate one of Donald trump's main political rivals a group of individuals with ties to the president and his personal lawyer were also active in the former Soviet Republic they're in for profit not politics this circle of businessmen in Republican donors how did connections Giuliani and trump I'm trying to install new management at the top of Ukraine's massive state gas company the plan was then secure lucrative contracts to companies controlled by from allies according to two people with knowledge of their plans the effort to install a friendly a management team at the helm of the gas company called now still dies would we taken up by Ukraine's new president with Ukraine's new president by US energy secretary Rick Perry slate of candidates included a fellow Texan who's one of Perry's past political donors now you may be saying yourself hold up a second am I supposed to be suspicious of Rick Perry because Rick Perry has friends who are in the Ukrainian natural oil and gas sector in maybe are using dropping names in order to get ahead what if I switch in Emporia instead of Rick Perry just said Joe Biden I will I be suspicious anymore or does this vision disappear proof we're supposed to pretend it's not suspicious at all one hundred Biden ends up with no oil or natural gas experience pulling down fifty grand a month because Daddy's vice president of the United States I like that is that really is it like that this is why people are going nuts a okay you're gonna tell me it's super corrupt when friends of from are doing business in Ukraine with oil and natural gas but what is Joe Biden's son they were supposed to pretend that none of this matters at all like at all in all we're supposed to pretend that Joe Biden is pure as the driven snow and so is hunter Biden and any questions you ask about them are fully illegitimate yet again for the one thousand time if Donald Trump has no evidence and no serious questions to be asked about your by your hundred mine he's going after them for political purposes by leveraging military aid to a country under the front of the Russians in order to go after his political opponents solely and completely because of not corruption and nothing is one sixteen any election interferes with any of that but simply because he doesn't like Joe Biden not only that wrong it's impeachable but are we there yet I think we have a ways to go there first we'll get back to that

"Grocery stores, urging customers to rethink plastic with embarrassing bags EastWest market hopes to humorous bags like war, wart, ornament, wholesale will persuade shoppers to shun single use bags. The concerns people they think is fair for the environment have bags, but people still are offer them, so the way to humiliate them so customers who won't bring in their own bags to the east west market, and Vancouver will instead have to carry their groceries home in bags, read a word Ortmann or into the weird adult video or into the weird adult video emporium for that encourage us to bring your own, you know, very green bag, or would you be okay, carrying those plastic bags totally okay? David Lee Quinn, the shop's owner insisted that this plan wasn't to embarrassed customers, quote, we wanted to give them something eumerus, but also something that made them think, at the same time, it's human nature not to want to be told what to do. They think you're destroying the planet by making them give you a plastic back k they don't wanna participate in your echo crime. So they've decided that if you ask for a plastic bag, they'll give you one. It holds a huge number of wireless technology patents, and it charges phone makers for both apple and suppliers argued that's overcharging stopped paying and sued for nearly thirty billion dollars. Qualcomm sued back for seven billion dollars in lost payments. It'd be really created a tremendous amount of bad blood between the two companies technology analyst, Kevin Cree, well at tears research did not see peace on the horizon. "emporia" Discussed on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani
"And that came after your first two losses in your career. I'm wondering to come out on fire the way, you have the last two fights. What did you take from the Alvarez Emporia fights? Well, I mean, it was too long 'cause they will go back and go back to Joe onboard. Man was I never went. You know, every time I want is you have to keep building on. What what was what was successful? That's how this game works, you know, roller coaster when you're up up down down. So you gotta ride those waves, and, you know, having so much set in the south that I was choosing do out there and fight because to my seven amateur fights. And then through those first eighteen twenty five five hundred now, I I mean, I went out there with one goal one intention to create chaos than I was twenty five now. So you know, you you can say all you want. But you there's no reason I would ever try to try to change that. And once you know, I've thought the best in the world for us is born none, you know, I think one of the best end of guys that there is in my weight class. And then, you know, just technically wise is a boon to take angles and stuff was crazy. So to fight those guys is. Crazy. Yeah. Fair enough about that. So I know there was a bit of controversy a little bit after the fight when you were doing some post fight media. And of course, you had care and Brian Paul filter on the set. I don't really want to dig too much into it. But just sort of like see where you're at. Now. Are you still as upset at the way that went now having a couple of days to sit on it RV and thought about it? No, I've thought about this. So I don't care. And so So you. you you don't feel like they were trying to take your shine. I mean, they can't dude you're the one who got the knockout. I think they were just no, I think I think. Single around professional move on Paul star. From Paul fry think he knows that? You know, it's. Is there a different status than me? I was five of that night. And he was employee or a staff member and my. I was caught. I was just really caught up. I didn't even I didn't know even know it was happening until you know, like the second time, I think we care about it up, and they go, and I I wouldn't even I bet that was probably like seventeen minutes from the moment. I stepped out of ring probably less than that. I've been it was maybe like ten minutes. No, no. At least every fifteen whatever. But telling you, I had seen the fi, you know, from the moment, you think tell you know, you have four minutes he's going to go in that hallway to make that walk through on. That's the last time you do to to kind of process anything. And then after that until you know, win or lose it's over, you know, you you can't process me a million miles an hour. You know thousand thousand words, the second you're trying to take and everything trying to try to not miss specific things trying to do it..
Robert Whittaker Withdraws from UFC 234 vs. Kelvin Gastelum Due to Hernia Injury
"The case you missed it. Breaking news UFC two thirty four has taken a massive hit and there's no sunshine in here. No, sunshine, where any MMA fans are especially the ones in Australia because everyone was looking forward to Robert Whittaker the first Australian UFC champion getting an opportunity to finally defend that title middleweight title on his home turf in Melbourne later this evening, Rod Laver Arena sold out in ten minutes against Kelvin gasoline finally getting to see him back. Well, we just found out twenty minutes ago. The fight is off management has just confirmed with me as well. The fight is off. They're going to issue. A statement in a matter of moments Whitaker out due to a hernia fight cancelled Israel Sonny Anderson Silva's now the new main event so how does this affect Kelvin gasoline? How did he find out where does he go from? Here. Let's talk to his manager. Elliot does these who's joining us on the phone right now? Ali how are you? Oh, no. I'm good. It can be better. But you know, it's commander of the game, you know, seniors, and we have to get adjusted. When did you guys find out? I just find out dot com. Probably thirty minutes ago. Have a hernia. The hospital and now they have to perform. You know, he's a great champion. I always put it on the line. Unfortunately. He's not fighting. Twelve weeks heart camp make sacrifices, but you know, it wasn't awake cuts related issues. And he's just. As workers. Warrior. It will not more injury or even hard injury. Doc, even more from fighting. A great guy. We wish him nothing. But the best. Wish must be recovered his management just told me that he's heavily sedated as we speak and he's going into surgery, right? This moment. So like, I said a horrible tournaments for Robert Whitaker. What does this mean for Kelvin? What does the UFC told you? I know it's very fresh. But. You know is he going to get another title shot? What are they going to do with the belt? You have any idea. Day right now, I get to speak with Dana white. He said I personally. Calvin Calvin is the number one contender. He's gonna see what happened. Out. We're going to go ahead and see maybe the winner between Anderson Israel. Covered. You know? Maybe you can do it thirteen. You know, what's what's I'm kind of looking forward to. But let's see what happened. Did they try to keep Kelvin on the card was that ever discussed? No does not disgusting. I spoke to. Dana. And that does not discussed that. Oh, you know. Listen, I think you have a good minivan. Anderson Silva is great. I'm not sure this is going to be a five round or real. Oh. You know, it is what it is. I feel horrible rubber Whitaker. Yeah. I feel bad for coffee too. Under the right. How is he handling? It has been handling the news Kuban workers. Okay. Calvin was ready. We was ready. The Bishop of his life and. We believe he was going to be that, you know, that middleweight champ. But robert. No injuries taken away from the fight. And like, I said, you know. Nothing but respect and we wish him nothing, but speeder recovery, and I hope he's okay. We're talking to. You're not gonna hear me, you know, me get me on the program talking trash in promoting and get on people. But certain situation we have to be human. Absolutely. I think everybody out there. Everyone to give respect keep Robertson. They prayer. I wish nothing but the best talking to manager Elliot. Bill Aziz here on area who wanna show on ESPN radio's presented by Uber. Breaking news out of the world to the USC USC to thirty four tonight in Melbourne Australia on pay per view, Robert Wood. It covers coming gasping for the middleweight title cancelled that flight has been canceled because Robert Whitaker is going under the knife. In a matter of moments in Australia for a hernia certainly wish him the best. I'm curious Ali is Kelvin going to get paid. How's this gonna work because you just went through a training camp? What's the deal? I'm certain UFC has told you what they're gonna do. Can you? Tell us. Yeah. Always come through for me, you know. And he said he was going to kick out. You know, I understand you know, he went to a camp. And and you put a lot of money into it investment. A lot of money into it. And at the end of the day. This is. You know, I'm not worried about him. I know he will be paid. Thanks for doing this Ali very sorry about the news our best to to Kelvin as well. Speak for everyone. Everyone is bummed out about this. We're looking forward to it. I appreciate you coming on for a few minutes. He will take care. He was. And I have no doubt in my mind. Dana white and you'll see them because they're taking care of my guys sounds good. Thank you Ellie. Let's go back to the phone lines. Now talk to more fans. Breaking news again Robert Whitaker out of tonight's made event. Ernie a- surgery scheduled for Madame moments from now in Melbourne devastating news, not only for the UFC. But for Robert Whitaker who continues to get all these freaking bad breaks time. And again, he had shingles. Prior to the last time that they were in Melbourne with him headlining that card was supposed to be against Luke rock hold now. Just hours before the event he has to pull out and is going under the knife Joseph Detroit. How are you? Good. How about you area? I'm doing okay. Good. I just got a few questions for you that I think they should let the winner of tonight. And Calvin fight for the official title Whitaker should be stripped. It's just my opinion. Well, I wanna see how long he's out for this is definitely a bad break. But I typically like to subscribe to the rule that if you don't defend your title or you're not scheduled to fight within a year. Then you should be stripped in this case he last fought in June. So let's see how far he's out. Let's see how long he's out for. I should say let's see how long of a recovery this is needed. And then let's talk about stripping in. But I think right now, it's a little premature to talk about stripping. Because he pulled out last year knee injury. I think it's better for him. You don't have to take some time off. But my second question is not question opinion. True. They're gonna make McGregor verse Copley for the I think it should be Tony Emporia for the interim. Yeah, that's Donald Surani just talking right now from what I'm hearing the interim belt isn't being discussed. I don't think a belt is needed for that kind of fight. I don't think a belt elevates that kind of fight certainly not an interim title. So at this juncture, I think that's just cowboy talking and look he's going to get the fight. It seems like that's the front runner. I don't think you need to push for an interim thing anyone wants it, quite frankly, I think the interim belt would would almost like soil that that fight. I don't think anyone wants to see an interim belt online. I don't think either guys should be fighting for an interim belt when you have guys like Tony dust emporium ally. Doing what they've done as of late. Let's go back to the phone lines and say Hello to Corey in California, Corey how are you? Hey, I'm good. How you doing? I'm doing. Okay. Some some disappointing news, but we still have a car tonight. But yeah, it's it's a bummer. These things happen from time to time in in mixed martial arts and. I mean, this is a big one especially because it's the Australian who's now out of the card. Yeah. Honestly, like you said before man, I don't know how these injuries happened the day of the fight. How much are you actually doing? Such a serious injury. But I don't know it's fight game. And it happens. But. So my original copies I called about it. Now trying to shake up. I was gonna say do you think that Anderson is? His own legacy a little bit by taking these bigger fights with the much younger guys are like the fights with whatever, obviously, they're bigger fights. And he's a big name. And do you think that you have tarnished by throwing them into a fight with Israel, just because if Anderson, but then it turns around and now Anderson is card having a big name for Israel to fight. So do you think that enersen should lay off he's bigger fights? Or do you think he's finer you think his legacy Jenner hurt in the end after all this look if we're talking about tarnishing legacies? The only thing that's maybe tarnished his legacy. So to speak is the fact that he was caught with PD's twice other than that. I mean, I don't think opponents will tarnish anyone's like seeing fact to meet on the elevates your legacy because you're finding the toughest guys even as you're in your swansong so to speak. I like the fact that he's taken this fight. Everyone thought it was a mistake. It's an opponent that he thinks he could beat he's fourteen years older. He feels like maybe he's not as experiences him. Maybe he hasn't fought the kind of competition that he's. So I don't think this is. I mean, imagine he pulls it off great story George Foreman. It's like Randy tour all over again. So I honestly don't think that he's tarnishing his legacy on this one. Let's go to one quick call before we take another break Hamilton, Ohio. What's up man areas? A pleasure speaking with you. I want to go back to the UC days, or so I started hearing your voice. Boy that was handled by the UFC. I am so proud that you've come to where you had with the hard work. You've done to put yourself in today's position. Thank you know, as far as what's happening transplanted melborn sad. And that's the core. So the nature of the game. My question to you is at forty three year old is now put himself in position we he's probably going to be having to save this card. I understand that. There's not a lot of four weeks on your old man at his weight. They can do anything except maybe defend themselves. Does he really have a chance to see wing? And do you see this only in the heavyweight World War forty yours can compete one or two times? This gentleman is not tarnishing his world. It just a building him being allowed to do this because of his name and his past of fighting really realistically can this man really compete at this level with this young kid. I mean that remains to be seen. I don't think it's a bad matchup firm. In fact, I'd say he's too big of an underdog. I'm curious to see if he can turn back the clock tonight. But yeah, it's a great call to great point. The best news is this flight hasn't been canceled. So we're about to find out in a matter of moments in a matter of hours, whether or not Anderson Silva can hang with Israel to Sonya after the break. We're going to be joined by my colleague, my partner shell son. And he's in Melbourne. I want to get his take on things. He knows coming gasoline almost better than anyone. He was the one who drafted him on the ultimate fighter way. Back when devastating news Robert Whittaker's out of tonight's UFC two thirty four main event. And I just got details about how it all went down. I'll tell you about all that and more right after the break. You're listening to Hawaii's may show right here on ESPN radio and ESPN app this

I think he could be the one thing that he always did was if you look at the bonuses as a measure of what this guy brings. I mean, he's almost always in the category of the performance night the five and I had to Keio the night this mission on the night. He's almost always in that category. What about your Drake? Because for a while he was the next big thing, at least in Latin American we know that you have see with going earlier this year to cheat now in November into weeks to Argentina, they've been focusing a lot of the Latin American market and just like this is a guy that you can throw in any of the Latin American cards, and he can headline any fight night..

"No, he's going to have to work his way through and even then look guys like Emporia, look guys that have fought twenty saying, I mean, you name it gauge GI Quinta and Michael Johnson enjoy. That's what the big city. So so yeah, I mean, and not only that, but he said, I'm getting paid to sometimes even three times more than top ten you have see, lightweight is making and you know, I don't know how old he is, but I think he's already thirties, right? So yes, a whole lot of time. He doesn't have a whole lot of time left and look. He's important for about tour for the maybe not so much. So why not? Why not stay there? You know, they'll give you guys that division Bill towards pretty good. They'll give you guys that are still pretty formidable. You could make your way to the title shot pretty easy and make good money out of it. Why not guys get to be? So you don't have to deal with you saw because like, okay, let's talk about always getting in the way. Yeah. I mean, you saw the on on. On on. Okay. He's trying to avoid it because he's taking steroids or whatever. That's what the critics are saying, right? But like the whereabouts all the all the should the has to deal with with that and are only that, like all the supplements how much how much careful you have to buy your career going to the you've see is definitely gets a lot more complicated if you don't have an agenda, Eddie Alvarez who's into collecting names for his shirt record. What's the, what's the point? I mean, if you're going to get paid well and fight good opposition for every Alvarez, there's a Wilbur right? And if you can be the face ability or and you can put on fun fights against competition, it's a little bit lower and you still have built in storyline with, hey, I just lost my title 'cause I hurt my ankle. I gotta go back and get primis. I gotta get that belt back thirty to enjoy it being the Dave and Buster's commercials get the free takes Chritine into gets a some kind of with the call it pre suspension say, what's the word that you saw UCLA was used flagged? No. When they when it's like you haven't been convicted vision, visual suspension, you get and you lose a year of your life fighting this even have a year wretches destroyed because fans only see flagged for potential read potential. They go, yo steroids took zero point is number one. If you're gonna get paid more great, dear points. He also might. He told me he might end and he still many people in seventy. So we could go and have a little fun up there. Loaded division there too. Okay. But he wants. In a good way to be in big fights. He wants big opportunities. He has been loyal and people do like them and they respect him and independence. People like, oh, he's Wooding thought, I don't know if that's true. I have no clue, but even if it is good. Like what's funny would fighters are in the u. of they're like, oh man, you saw it. I'm really glad of the sport, but when they leave it, you don't hear them complaining to like any other organization that they should involve Dada. It's just a leveraging thing to like downgrade their opposition or promote a fight when they leave. You never hear anybody say this is a major problem in this organization they stopped carrying, which to me says a lot. Yeah, I had to get my anti-doping thing because, you know, of course. Okay. So we, we took your tweets using the hashtag, the Emma beat. We are now going to answer a handful selected version of them segment that we call after the beat. You don't have to go anywhere. You're gonna stay right here on YouTube or wherever you're watching this and we'll do that now. So don't go anywhere it's time for after the beep..
