"I. Hope on twitter at Patriots C L and s welcoming back emily, Lazar this week, follow him on twitter at easy l.. A.'S E A. R.. He covers the NFL, and of course the New England Patriots for sale on US media. How you been I've been great. How about you? Try to stay busy staying healthy and I actually hit the tennis court. On Sunday with my daughter, Emma had a great time and beat her six loves so that was awesome. It is being up on your daughter on the tennis court. That does not surprise me one bit Nope I. Know I said this to the other Evan Evan Mironov on the Bruins beat on Tuesday that kind of a Dick move by me to sound so happy about beating a daughter, six love and a tennis match, but You know when you're my age. You WanNa. Feel like you can still move around on court. How do I WANNA say this? You have youthful but. More than half my age there. Yeah, we're talking. NFL News here and news that could be pertaining to the New England patriots to quarterbacks still on the market one is has been rumoured for several weeks to be in the crosshairs of the New England patriots in terms of their Interests Cam Newton and the other for several years has been rumored to be a potential. quarterback backup to Tom Brady but Tom Brady obviously no longer here that would be calling capper nick boats still on the market as I said, and I'm curious Evan just very high level question here, which one is more likely to wind up doing one? I would say it's probably Cam Newton just because we have film. That's relevant from. Twenty eighteen, twenty, nine, hundred, eight through eighty nine passes, so I don't know what you really want to take away from that, but in terms of the two thousand eighteen. We at least have a full season's worth of Cam Newton film that we can look at relevant. That's recent I think that would be a little bit more of an intrigued there for the Patriots Than Somebody like Colin Kaepernick. Who hasn't been in the League since Twenty Sixteen? Due to no fault of his own, but certainly hasn't been in the league. Since then it's been out of the mix you know I, said this earlier in a video that I did with Sierra drags just kind of the new thing kind of it kind of runs its course right with capture nick where the new great next grade thing comes along, and you wait three years, and you're out of the game for three years, and you get passed by, and I think that even outside of all the racial stuff and outside of all the off field things with Colin, Kaepernick. Big reason why you don't see teams, chomping at the bit to sign him, is because he. Kind of moved on from that chapter, and they've moved onto other guys, and they have their depth charts built at quarterback with younger players that are either or undrafted guys or second year. Guys like jared who they just WanNa, see what they have with those guys and they don't really want reverse and go backwards at the player like Apper Nick. Obviously led the forty niners to the Super Bowl. And he almost led them to two super bowls, obviously the Seattle seahawks paid them. Back, in I believe that was two thousand and fourteen right twenty fourteen. Yes. And my question simply is. How does a quarterback Colin Kaepernick? Who Ran? The RPO? Omits almost to near perfection. Drop off precipitously. Is it simply mechanics, or is it?.

"The? Current situation our countries in Colin Kaepernick's name has been recirculating in the new cycle. I'm Sierra goodwill here with Emily Lazar in Taylor Kyle's with Roger Goodell's recent statement, admitting wrongdoing on behalf, the League for banning pro peaceful protests on the football field. Things have been brought up about okay if they lift that ban of kneeling during the naturally at them will NFL. Teams now take a chance on Colin Kaepernick in one team in particular, the New England patriots could potentially be a team that should consider bringing in panic for workout. Yeah I. Think the Roger Goodell's Statement I. Pay my jaw off the floor when he said that right because. After all this with Cabernet with the kneeling with the president, and all his stuff now you're gonna say all these years later that it's okay. I I was shocked I couldn't believe he walked that back. And as soon as he said that the first thing that I tweeted out right afterwards in myself was well. This is this is a May couple of cabinet in this is. Is a clean slate for him. He should have a clean slate here and he should not only be broadened for workouts, but he should be on a roster in the NFL. By the end of the summer. Really I would say and I think the biggest thing standing in his way is not actually talent, or the kneeling or anything like that anymore, but now that you're. You're three years removed from football. It's Kinda difficult to find out. What exactly is he? At thirty two years old three years removed from the game. What can you bring to the table anymore? Does he still have the straight? Does he still have the mobility because he's still have the a little bit semblance of accuracy, although it's never really the most accurate passer he. He was always a guy that could at least put the ball. Worry wanted more times than not, and that's going to be. The question is what these workouts with these tryouts whatever it ends up being..

"Payroll processing free. That's patriot software. Their accounting and payroll. Now, let me give you a little example here on ladies and gentlemen about the story. The David Harsanyi has published. The federalist on me. Truthfulness of the fact that these are the most prosperous times the millennial generation of its era has ever had more prosperity in America today for thirty for eighteen to thirty four year olds in there ever has been and they don't know it. They think they're in the last days like every generation, I here's the difference. I never bought it. I never bought any of these left-wing apocalyptic scenarios. I never spent more than ten minutes worrying about nuclear work. Isn't it happened? We were tossed anyway. So what's the point of running around scared to death every day? I thought acid rain was a hoax. The first time sixty minutes did a story on it. I have never believed man can control the climate either making it cooler warmer. So I've now gotten caught up in that I don't get caught up in left wing hysteria. I never have. But they have. I was not indoctrinated into them as a kid. My parents were not a bunch of miserable unhappy angry leftists, and and for the six months, I spent well for the four months, I spent in college I didn't run into much of that. I just I've always been able to avoid it. I've never been immersed at us. And none of those ongoing apocalyptic theories. The thing I've been worried most about my life as a democrat party in American liberalism. But none of their issues. I think all amplified made up exaggerated and us doing exploited. So this story in time magazine on Alexandria. Oh, no. Days and all of the suffering. In health things so bad when she was born in how they have not improved. It's so stressful. The author of the story that I mentioned time magazine woman named Charlotte alter let me tell you who Charlotte alter is who also believes all of this apocalyptic stuff. Charlotte alter is the daughter of Jonathan alter who is a famous left wing journalist from the salad days of Newsweek back when Newsweek was something back when it was on par with time magazine, you go back to the seventies into the eighties and even some of the ninety s. Jonathan alter went to Harvard. He's an educated and liberal media elite his wife, Charlotte, alters mother was the executive producer of the coal bear report. On the on comedy central. Jonathan alters bestselling author. Former editor of Newsweek, both her parents went to Harvard her sister, Charlotte. Alter sister is a venture capitalist. Her brother works for HBO sports. She herself writes for time magazine has a serious radio show. Poor little thing. So is suffering out. There is so. None of this is dimension. The incestuous nature. The Washington establishment, mom and dad. Harvard daughter gets into Harvard. Mom and dad Newsweek, then they need everybody in H B. Also, the moms working at comedy central producing the coal bear reports. Now this babe. As a brother working for H, B, O sports or sisters of venture capitalists. She works for time has a serious radio show. You know, we're focusing on these Hollywood people that bought their kids way into college. But hell. The establishment is the established ruling classes the ruling class they take care and yet here you have some of the most privileged young people in America walking around in this apocalyptic as. And they happen to have prominent positions in the media and education. Guarantee you they don't know diddly squat about the founding of this country. They may think they, but I'll bet you they haven't I'll bet you the amount appreciation. They have fought you could fit inside a thimble. That's how little. They have more than likely than properly or accurately taught about it. By the way. President Trump tweeted moments ago, Mexico's doing nothing to help stop the flow of illegal immigrants immigrants to our country. They're all talk and no action, likewise, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, if taken our money for years, and they do nothing. The Democrats don't care at such bad laws. I may close the southern border. He said, Mr President to do it. Three things close the border send ice in the border patrol down. And shut it down. They failed to override your veto on the declaration of a national emergency start building the wall shut the border de classify all the documents involving the investigation so-called into Russian collusion, including the FIS award applications. And then pardon everybody, pardon Flynn, pardon Manafort, pardon everybody. I see. All that done by the close of business today. Back to the phones. Baltimore says, Meghan. You're next on the EIB network. Hi. Meghan. Are you there? It was like nobody's there. Let's try Matthew in Tallahassee Florida. Are you there by any chance? Yes. I am here in just want to say thank you for taking my call. You bet. I'll listen to the very first time caller. What are wanting to get you not previously? We're talking about article all the millennials going through all the doom and gloom growing up. I'm twenty five I grow right at the same time. He did in my opinion. Honestly, we grew up through a bombers era his legacy if she would it was high taxes economic dropout. I watch a lot of businesses close a lot of homes foreclosed on. And that's what we grew up in. We've never seen at least eighteen to thirty four. Never seen an economy like may it. Truthfully. Thankful to Trump what he's doing and look out for us. Well, I I see a lot of my friends. They all think there's law June gloom. But I I think it totally has to do with what I when I finally do explain to them and show them how much economy's growing how much wait a minute. Wait a minute. All you need to help me out with something. I totally understand that a lot of Alania have never experienced an economy like this. They have never been alive during this kind of uptick in economic activity and opportunity, and you grew up during Obama, and of course, but they loved Obama where was the pessimism and the apocalyptic nature during Obama, they loved Obama when everything was going to hell explain that to me. Well, well. All the ones that were Medicated that had all these government benefits. Of course, they love it who wouldn't want getting free stuff all the time at taxpayers expense. But for those that are hard-working blue-collar families we kid so I know my family we lost our insurance ObamaCare when they see the individual mandate were paying upwards of six hundred dollars in fines for it. We we lost our house. My parents. We ended up losing our house is the tax rates will have federal government raised interest rates raised our mortgage rates and just everything Obama did and everything with the economics at the Democrats leaving it's garbage it never works. A lot of people. Why don't you hate America, given everything that happened to you that you just described you Auster health insurance lost her house going to Helena Handbasket during Obama why you ought to be joining the millennials who don't like the country and think we're in the last days, but you're not obviously, you're not you're much more optimistic than that. Oh yesterday. I mean, we we live in America. It is degraded station. Well, and it's not still the greatest nation world. You have every opportunity at your fingertips if you're willing to work for now. Many people have everything they want seniors. You know, look at your cell phone. "Downhill with very little warning. I forget what it is. Did they went out and put a dash Cam? And they drove the intersections. Try to find that and see if I can see in the posted speed limits between point v. So there's a, you know, I've kind of mixed feelings in this next story. And I and I'm well aware because my son spent a lot of years in Cho's growing up, but the I guess there's some effort to try to revive the coast community center. We know that like closed all of a sudden in late October the public. Learn ahead almost a half million dollars worth of debt state assemblyman. John McDonald says he thinks he has a half million dollar state grant, and they're trying to sell it. I just I wonder for throwing good money after bad or if they can find somebody to buy it and take it over. There were there were almost a half million dollars in debt. So this grant would get them caught up essentially and allow someone to come in and by by the place without being taking out without taking on that debt. Right. So come in. Maybe they're better able to get a fresh start. And maybe better manage it from this point forward the school district looked at it. But for the all the all the hoops at school district's have to jump through. They say it costs like five million dollar to fixed, Billy. It's an old building. I don't know just wonder I just wonder if and I don't have a dog in the fight. If it's an old building, you know by the time, somebody would buy it. You know, people have found other ways for childcare and whatnot and always need for child. Always. So and the other thing I the other thing I found interesting you talk about maybe uncomfortable meetings as part, I think it was in the times union story as part of this effort by assemblyman John McDonald to get money for the coast community center. He talked about how they've had meetings with him and Sean Morris. I wonder how that goes. Because right MacDonald has been very public and saying, yes, Sean, Morrissey goes mayor. Yeah. He dragged woman out by the hair of my drugstore in in McDonald. Calm a liar. I wonder how how's that meeting? Go. Hey, sean. How's it going, buddy? I just thought that'd be an uncomfortable meeting. I did see what are we out of time? So I looked on Google maps for the speed limit. And it drops down to fifty on route thirty still really fast approaching that intersection. There's opposed to sign for fifty approaching the stop sign. Yep. Coming coming to the teeth from the downhill from the downhill side fast. That's way too fast. Yeah. And there are signs saying that there's a stop sign ahead. But it's still fifty wow. No, that's great. Thank you. And we are running late. But I had to do this one last story. I heard you'll I had very little interest in the Grammy awards. I don't even think we talked about it yesterday. But I heard some of the national recaps. And by the way, they rained on all the big names. And by the way, the the the first woman ever won one award for engineering, and it turns out that the first woman ever to win for the Grammy for best engineered album is eight Skidmore, Gregory, very. Yeah. Emily lazar. She's been in the music industry for a long time. She's ninety three grad at Skidmore, but congratulations to her. She wasn't non-classical for engineering work in Beck's colors album. First woman to win in the category. So congratulations, very cool. Congratulations to Emily and Skidmore.

Rappers, women won big at Grammys after past snubs

"You watch the Grammy awards last night, and you care about representation and diversity. You may have been pleasantly surprised the sixty first annual Grammy awards did not repeat the Grammy. So male ceremony of twenty eighteen where only one woman Elissa car up one a solo award in the top categories Alicia Keys, hosted Cardi B became the first solo women to win for rap album and Casey must graves took home the trophy for album of the year on top of all that the show's musical performances were heavily female driven with numbers by do aletha. Dolly Parton, communica Baeau, lady Gaga and many more. I spoke today with varieties executive music editor, Shirley Helprin. And she began with her reaction to the shows performances. I thought the performances were really top knots. I thought they were very well produced. They were colorful, they were labyrinth was a lot of, you know, really, you know, beautiful choreography, you know, there were couple of moments. I think people were sort of scratching their heads. Like Jennifer Lopez, you know, sort of presence in the Motown sixtieth anniversary tributes. You know, she got a lot more singing time than smokey Robinson. Who was you know, one of the architects of the Motown's found, but I think Casey muss grades was fantastic. Cardi B was really fun. Boys over about his truck Sawhill speak. In terms of of them stepping into that kind of Barras in line last year about how women needs to step up. I mean, I think the producers and CBS really took to heart the controversy and really looked at their program and thought about these issues I wanna play something from do aletha who won best new artist. She was making a reference to comments made last year by academy president Neo Poh now. Oh my God. I don't even know what speaking I guess where I wanted to begin by saying. How on and I am to be nominated alongside so many incredible female artists, the fizz, I guess this really stepped up. So that is Mirroring what Neil porno said about women stepping up. So they're two things that are at issue here. One is who is allowed and invited to perform their show and the second is who actually goes home with a hardware. So if you're to look at who actually was nominated who won Grammys does it feel like some progress is being made on that front. Even if the performers were actually more Representative of the industry. Yeah. I can't really give credit to the Grammys organization for that. Because it's it's the voting body and the voting body is is working musicians and engineers and mixers producers songwriters, you know. So so it's really what they feel are our songs on the albums that most resonated this year. I think Casey most grades winning album of the year is a great example of how an artist really transcend, John RAs, I love country music with everything that I am. And I'm very proud to be able to get to share my version of that with the world. Thank you for supporting that joke, the embraced by, you know, not just an American audience, but global audience who, you know, probably a lot of them wouldn't call themselves country music fans. So I think that was a big win. And I think childish Gambino winning for this is America, which is such a provocative. You know, in politically charged song was another example of the voting body really embracing something that is different that is not pop-oriented. That wasn't you know, like a major radio hit, you know, all of these things come into play. And and I think things are changing, you know, look -lution sorta like steering battleship. It doesn't happen overnight. But I see signs of abroad or more inclusive Grammy organization than the feature were you think about kind of how wide net the Grammy's and the Grammy voters are casting. You look at Casey most graves, even though the k pop. Bam BTO's did not win. There were certainly a big presence. Does it feel like the definition of what is Grammy worthy is becoming a little bit more broad now. Well, I think there's always been this conflict between Grammys as a TV show and Grammy's as, you know, a music awards ceremony, and you really have to balance those two things, and I think for CBS, which which airs the show their priority is really just making sure that people tune in and that they get the youngest demo possible. You know, Camille at the Belo is odd. Obviously very much of that generation and BTS which has very very energetic fan base. That's why they were toes into present. I mean, they were only nominated for best reporting package and they didn't win. So, you know, been of a stretch to have them there. But that's not to say that people weren't like in excited. Just to see you know, what is the biggest Cape fans in the world. So it's a mix of all those things, you know. I mean, I think it'll be more interesting to see how other awards shows sort of pit after the Grammy's, and the fact that that really took, you know, a much broader more pop Centric Roop of artists to perform were you think about the people who won not only the broadcast Ramon. But earlier was there a specific award that really gratified you and conversely was there one person who didn't win who really wish might have. I think the gratifying win was Saint Vincent winning with Jeff. Antonoff just to incredible artists. You know, I was really thrilled that to aletha one for for best new artist and for electricity, which is just an amazing amazing song really one of the greatest songs of the last year in terms of surprises. I mean, I I mean the little surprise that some of the artists coming in with so many nominations like Drake really didn't walk away with a whole hell of a lot. But I will shout out to one amazing female mastering engineer, which is Emily Lazar. She won four for mastering for Beck's album, and she has been at this for like, you know, twenty years really at the top of her name. And she's the first woman, you know, mastering engineer to win a Grammy of the stature. So really really thrilled about that. To know when it comes to representation women come up very short as producers and as engineer so that was a very special win,
