"And now back to Amelia. Clark and Dr Bennett. Amal something I have any fuss may know it when you're born you're born with study number bring selves your burn wizard about four hundred drums and then you can only lose your brain sauce. You cannot create new brain salts the brand does not have any reasonable capacity to generate. So so if you you suffer any form of burning jewelry that is it's you lose a bristle. You've lost it. An Amelia went untrue. A very severe type of brain injury ratified Yes we as physicians as we may have the best care for acute care. They going be played. The newest hobby suck on them DRI. Yes two years the bigger yes. I had mirror aneurysms. which is incredibly Coleman? Because you have if you have the weakness weakness on your arteries your brain is influenced into the two sides that weaknesses mirrored so the first one ruptured is you just heard and then they said there is a second one you need to keep an eye on it so I was insanely insanely lucky. I'm you know point no percentile of people who have what I had without any repercussions any mental physical repercussions. I mean. They checked and might ask my family if obvious just bad at maths and I am so that was fine. It was like the only thing that they kind of skewed on so they. He said you know you've got this other one on the other side. Just keep an eye on it so then I went back to work. You know the huge amounts of fatigue which is the main thing that happens university acidly when you have a brain injury regardless of what other physical repercussions you might have fatigue something diesel which is is just tiredness just but it's a kind of You physically constand up kind of tiredness. which a young twenty year old? That's really infuriating when none of your friends at standing up till four. Am and you're going to need a little sit down and that brings with it would have its own things but they said keep an eye on it so then two years. Later I'm on a bad play on Broadway and coming to the end of my side medical so I thought I'd go and get a brain scan which always getting twice a year to kind of check on the on the other one and they said that it had doubled in size the second one in the I I should go and have the same procedure as had the first one as an preventative form so that nothing would happen so I go in to do that. And and I'm petrified. Obviously because you get a little kind of triggered by getting back into the hospital for the same thing but I think two hours I'll come round and everything will be fine. No okay back to a commits we'll get And a number of hours later I was brought round because the coils had got stuck and I'd had a much bigger bleed even the first S. one and they didn't know what to do. It's it's called operations go wrong like that. Does sometimes some. Don't get worried sometimes. Not all the time but just sometimes sometimes and it happened and they had to bring me round to ask me if it was right to cut my head open. Obviously I never thought I'd feel that pain again on Came round in this kind of in the in the surgery in the in the room on this question and kind of finding difficult to speak peak anyway but obviously gave it the my my parents were there and they couldn't do it for me and unluckily for me. There was a surgeon who was lecturing very close. Hugh is wonderful at cracking heads open on fixing them. 'cause it's a different team that would recording. That would either the IT clumping. So then I was rushed into to have emergency procedure and pretty sure I died for for a minute in it and then was brought back and it was a that was a very complicated thing and then to miraculously made it they were incredibly wide. I'd lost my peripheral vision. They were worried about a number of things that could have gone wrong as to why the it was not inside of my brain and the thing about having having tried both ways I recommend the first. 'cause the physical physical trauma when your skull cut open plus the bleed is then. You're dealing with two different things and that was just horrific that that was just really really awful are no she meant. I want me to tell you. But she's got some titanium plate now I didn't set off alarms so if I may I if I may ask you show it all of us. What so you? What did you do? Well this 'cause you will you come back to your job. Yeah what did Amelia do with this. The second the second time I mean I was raised to never say poor. Oh me I was raised to kind of always someone who's much worse off so just don't even give a second to consider. Oh that's a bit rubbish for myself but it was incredibly credibly incredibly difficult to not to not do that with the second one. 'cause it's happened twice at this point but I'm just pathologically hopeful human being and it.

"No one knew what it was. It was so no any what it was for a while for so wasn't allowed to any painkillers for awhile whole Jeez. I'm in like a Ame in north London on a Saturday night at this point and the nurse you saw me. Her husband was a brain surgeon and she was like. I think I know what this is. Let's get you in for brain scan. And then they saw that there was massive amounts of bleeding on the brain right so now we know what to do. I managed to have the good fortune again to the hospital to take care of that the next morning. We have have the surgery so they go through your groin. You're exactly and they go up around your heart and into your brain Glenn so where the weakness was in the vein in my brain the blood as it pumps and your body foster and foster foster it forms a little bubble on that weakness because it's not robust enough to just keep going and the brain hemorrhage itself is that bubble bursts Is it an embolism before it. POPs is in an embolism and then when it pops. It's an aneurysm awesome. No it's an aneurysm. Before it pokes it's a hemorrhage hammered. Yeah find out what embolism so then as your blood is continue to run your body. It's now escaping out and when that happens you lose a bit of your brain as soon as there's a part of your brain that doesn't get blood to it. It just dies in that moment. Swat what strike is Oh and so they got where that hole was and put copper wires to stop the blood from escaping any further and continue going around and because I was young. I didn't lose anything that was affected my all or exactly what I saw that I had and they saw that I had another one on the other side anyway so three weeks Nas portal. Hell terrible had a single dysphasia. Which essentially way you you look in so you can't speak cute Amelia for three weeks? You have that no. I had that for about three days again. I was young enough that they ended up pumping me full of adrenaline. That like doc that got rid of it yes. That was super difficult. I just got to be the most claustrophobic kind of panicky feeling you can. Nabbed wasn't making any sense. Yeah it was pretty dog. Gosh but anyway so we get through all of that and I'm okay and then I leave hospital within about about five weeks. I was back to work as you really quick question about this at any point during this are you like Oh my God this is GonNa be public. This is embarrassing. This is I just don't want that'd be associated with Did any of that cross your mind to wait to figure out that I wasn't going to die for food. They could tell. Hbo What had happened. And that was probably about as much. which is I was ever GonNa tell anyone right? And isn't it funny because why like I agree. I can relate yet some weakness of character that you had you something I think because I was so it almost like it was never even an option of me saying it to anyone so it was just like well I need to figure out what this is is and I don't want to give that to anyone else to figure out. Fool me what they think it is because I need to work out what this is for me. I don't WanNa get back to work. I'm fucking he on a wing in a hope and a prayer. I'm like a young bright with zero experience. He's probably not very good unload those what this is all. We fight in a second so my God I need to like. Yeah pretty to them. That I'm worth being here and me having a brain hemorrhage isn't going to help well. This is a deeply personal experience. Anything that deeply personal. You're probably why not excited to example exactly yes so why. We didn't really tell many people. The second season was really difficult. Because you have this thing called fatigue regardless regardless of what of whatever kind of brain injury you get whether you have the misfortune of having a serious lifelong injury or whether you're you're just like me and you just you miraculously escaped with everything saying tact. But you do have fatigue so filming hours were just like I. I was on morphine trying desperately through the day. Oh really but then did you feel like were you nervous. I was going to affect acting and all I thought it was. I thought that was is gone with my ability to act consist anything and the second one happened and then I was really like well. That's it I'm never going to art again. This isn't the first one was two thousand thirteen. Thirteen eleven in the second was she. Doesn't that after the first one it do you go. Oh my God. I'm vulnerable to this. Are you obsessed with it. Happened again again. Not the first one happened and I was. It wasn't is this going to happen again because they were like you have. There's one another side. We just need to be aware of it but it was more that so this this this is in my experience of being nearly fatally ill. Is that your Inositol for X.. Men Time this goes for anything you could have concert. You could have a broken leg. You could be be getting a tooth out. Whatever is you in hospice affects money time and in that time? Everyone is telling you that you are sick. Everyone is telling that you need to take care. Everyone is telling that you need these beeps and you need these pills and you need these things and you need to be watched an. It's constant and you're surrounded by other sick people and then you fuck leave leave and you're like oh all I wanted was fresh air and a bath and now I'm here and I'm not allowed to be here because you just told me for three. I'm ill to take care the. What am I am not safe? I don't feel safe and with brain injuries. I found that it's not just me that thinks this but as soon as that happens it's way you brain is its way you'll all personality is it's it's way you yeah black as soon as that becomes something you'll calling into a question and that can be on any level with mental health as well but especially with an injury where you like. My Buddy failed me. How in God's name and I expect to wake up every morning and feel safe within myself so you get super protective of yourself because I have this invisible thing? You can't see see that I'm sick but I know that I am so bit by bit carefully. Careful you build yourself back up and build your resilience backup and you build your kind of your trust backup opened yourself but it takes a second. Yeah do you row buses fuck because you're like. Hey I saw the other side and I'm good I I think that's the thing would trauma in general which is like oh the the trauma of being molested is simply that I believe that the people on Earth were all benevolent and Nice. And then someone's shatters your world view and you go. Oh at eight years old. There are bad guys are people around that are GonNa try to take advantage of you in such a radical shift in in your world view that it's very scary similarly. You've never worried about your brain your head. I'm thinking about Iran and now all of a sudden you go. Oh I'm in this world where my brain can hemorrhage yeah yea very worldview change. Yes it was that for a minute it for a little while and then I was doing the show on Broadway end of my sag medical knows like aldous go get brain scan wall here and wallets painful and and so I went in and they were like Whoa. There's other ones doubled in size to operate. Now we'll have a preventative surgery. Nothing of so fine scary but okay fine and in that surgery as often happens it went wrong. Oh the coils got stuck and I had a major bleed. Oh so it was a much biggest stroke. They woke me up on the table. And we're like we need to crack head open and and fix this. Can you do that on mean so I'd gone to sleep being peace out out. See you in two hours and I wake up in like the excruciating Ferguson's here exactly and so that was way more life or death breath than the last one my mom and dad whether they shave some of your head and they. They were amazing. They didn't I have Koskoff from here to here. So for my ear to like the very top of my middle. And because of what my boys they shaved the minimal amount so so they kept some heroin. This suddenly kept somehow. And that's how I can't tell you now looking at. What was the recovery time from that? That was Mak- mega with the other one. My Body could handle it but when you have leisure wind someone cracks or brain when they get a sorry listeners. Soren you cut in your skull and stitch that puppy back together again. That's such an epic amount of trauma for your body. Yes and then. Ironically every time my left the hospital I Bang my head every taxi I got into do the one thing meant to be taken care all man. I can't take care of it. Oh that was really difficult. I come from a family of raised to be like it. New never allowed to say poor me. Yes pity. Haiti is not a fucking emotion that we have in this household say like taken elsewhere and with the second one I was just like I'm trying really hard to not be like why needed a happen again. But it sucked because I was only just getting over the first one and then the second one him but all of these things led me to go. I mean I like the new point nope essential to what have had and to survive with no major repercussions and now because they're both done how sounding of what's going on my brain rain than most people. Yeah so I get to be like. Oh no I'm completely fine because you never d- cocaine pretty much. Well that's very good though Jason. Okay so obviously as a result of all that you you started saying you you. Yes is to broaden neuro rehabilitation access for young people after they have brain injuries or strokes. Yes but here. You've started a charity to help people. It's very admirable and so what are the mechanics of that. How do you promote it? Raise money how do people get involved with it. Yes this is something that we we started. It started as me wanting to get a sofa for the family room in the first hospital. 'CAUSE my family would come in. Like Kirk Sinn Fein Dhabi to sleep defined you find me. He goes like fucking uncomfortable. And I'm in hospital and so we started is that and then I just wanted to give it back. I just wanted to give back so badly because I was so beautifully taken care of if and I was so grateful to be alive literally and then the second one happened and I was like okay. This is crazy. I'm alive again how I cheated the death once more. This is absolutely insane. A half to help people because I was in the very fortunate position of being able to have a supportive loving family and people around me to be able to hold me up and and make sure that I was okay. I'm missing that I was talking about about you. Leave Hospital and you feel scared regardless of what the thing is so there was this this huge white space at the moment for brain injury which is recovery go in and they fix your brain but no one fixes your mind man. It's such a head..

"Weeping SA- Georgia's John. You would hate to watch the show with me as monocle. We we want you to group probably every eight minutes I go Kunle. It's like a it's a bit like can't very everything good is good. Yeah the intensity I miss it. It's so he liked you so much we can. Aw Okay now. Only get into a game of thrones by the way he's sick of talking about game of thrones. You know the because it changes all the time it does. You're not going to believe me when I say this but I mean it with complete sincerity. It was two weeks ago I suddenly was just sitting in my room thinking about stuff and went That was. It's like a very big thing. I told you I was two weeks ago. I literally we all did. I was talking to Bernie Bernie Love Buddy Nicole food produced on the show. Reason happens and then David and Dan and we were talking. We were all discussing how we basically when ten years ago we were like. Hey guys get in. His bunker will warm. We got some stuff going. It's cool shut the door and we stayed in the bunker for ten years and then we just suddenly like earn in came up and looked around. And when those fucking crazy that was really weird because the job itself is so different from the product and so different from the reexamine exactly exactly and I feel like very nature of what we do. is we wrestling with the idea of people's Gaze on you you've got the camera's gaze on you and you're searching to to try and communicate with that camera wool the things that you need to be communicated for the sake of a storytelling point of view while also ignoring it. wallows league elite ignoring it in your own human reaction to the fact that you'll be all of these things and then reverberations of that is that then you'll wrestling with a body of humans watching the other side of that. What that gazes then on you and how you dissect within yourself and how you figure out where you fit in that and for me? I just decided to ignore all of it will right. I think I think you're getting into what it is. It's like there's a little bit of a mind trick that you do to be able to act in front of a one hundred people. There's some disassociated aspect of it and it's almost like you build this imaginary wall where it's like you exist within there but that's not you Imbaba Blah and then so weirdly. Yeah that wall stays up even when it's like now on TV know exactly exactly and you never we as human beings can never ever ever. You never know the things that you never in someone else's never fully understand what it is because you can't see yourself because you don't know what you look like someone else said well. And so that on screen in his times a bazillion and then you've got this epic story that you're telling for me on top of all of that it was being new to the game and realizing that and it has breath a goal disappear so if I put myself worth on I would inevitably end up. Very Sad yes yes yes yes especially if you start with as as you said like imposter syndrome I certainly had to in my own life now. I do feel like you would at least be spared. The haning watching yourself just you did you pick apart your own looks. Even though you're my God do I do. I'll see Monica. We were arguing about this too. I really don't think there's anyone that looks in the mirror is like fuck. Yeah motherfucker. I think we were talking about Brad. Pitt going yes. I like to to have one hundred percent of the time. been the most handsome man in the league. Komo his whole life wasn't the handsome. Is that just very fascinating. He comes across as kind of humbly. I know by now saying I bet. He doesn't think think I bet. He narrative that he either looked. Let's just hypothesize I'm cheesy looking or I'm Jay or whatever I bet. He's got some similarities. With how much emotional intelligence you have because I tonight me and my mate. Lola always took weather when we have kids. What we hope is that they are beautiful in stupid because they'll always is be happy unaware of what it is that they are dealing with if it's beautiful than they go and there's no question that and that's whatever that is but I think if you've got a a high emotion intelligence than you always gonna be trying to figure out how people are looking at you and then if you put your worth on how you look than you instinctively then go all got a pay more attention to that? And I've got to look at that even more and that's going to be the thing and then you realize that steeply unfulfilling and then you've got to figure out why I need to expand my brain and have that be the thing that reliance make me feel find. Meaning I'm they. Things are so complicated in there so kind of they are. Because now that I'm thinking about it I bet yet even and someone who has your face will probably why thank you know you don't you don't have to say thank you but I guess everyone's like looking looking at their own bodies so even if you have like face maybe you're like well I have no objections of with my face. Maybe I WANNA look this way or that way I guess it just never stops. Yeah especially with this idea of being on camera and how you look how someone else looks at you and what other people think of you now other people look at you and then not change how you look at yourself. Yes which is annoying. Okay so I don't even know where to start but there's two things because it'd be before objectify you which is coming. I'd like to first objectified the men in the show. You know you I. I love her in. The show. Is fucking Jason Memorial. Call Drago. I mean can we just want you deny yes like hey so you know. We're about to shoot this thing. You'RE GONNA make call drug Jason Momoa steps up. Yeah are you like what the fuck is. I mean. We're not were you Baldo. I mean physically bold he literally when he first met me. He wrestled to the ground growls. I was so linguist before then I had never met anyone his eyes. He's let alone. His size of personality has size of like a war. YV Like that's a terrible version of him but yeah because he's got some Hawaiian spirit and then some just. Wow what celebrate. The fact that you're you're I into I was lucky me did. He's one of those incredibly rare people who their personalities and their spirit is as big as he is a double whammy. It's not just that he's a big guy it's that he's it's like yeah. He just radiates like whenever room. He's in he takes up the whole room just like Whoa. Wow and it's fucking bill until he took care of me too. Yeah he really really in an environment where I didn't know it needs to be taken care of. You're young. You've imposter complex. You have to do nudity. Yeah terrifying terrifying. Yeah in your scene partner. Is this fucking gorilla. Beautiful Gorilla in the first scenes are like like the virtually rape scenes right there than I was. Oh Yeah I I. It's only now that I realize how fortunate I was with that because that could have gone many many many many different ways because Jason had experience he was an experienced actor who had done a bunch of stuff before coming onto this this. He's like Sweetie. This is how it's meant to be and this is how it's not meant to be and I'm GonNa make sure that that's a fucking gays so it was always a fucking robe goddamn rope. Oh she was a lot of this is like complete bulls are honesty he was so kind unsought. Yeah and consider it unlike cared about me as a human being was the already with Lisa Bonet. Yes okay number. One of all time Oh does not features. She is probably the most the most extraordinary beauty. Maybe the rounded often. I feel like she's that we're in good. We're an era. Just thing everyone around features savary like how would you describe brown features and I I just you know I like them. Just the ones I like it. so He's already not with her so she thinks she gives him so much like feser. There's a gentleness that she has that's exquisite. Like when you talk to how hi you like. It's just takes your breath away. How kind of magical the is and I have no doubt that a lot of the way that he sees women is is educated from that? Sure I felt that Fisher. So do I have more questions about Jason Momoa now. Okay okay now kit Harrington Donovan Jon Snow yes I'm just going to say his fucking bonds in the lovemaking scene this year. Oh my goodness steel deal. Most Beautiful Buns I've ever seen on ferry sweet I was. I was suspicious that it was a double because they're so perfect. I had to go back frame frame again. There's twelve people watching with us. Sit through me going fucking Ed. Those are his bonds. Yeah he's one of those enigmas right where you just I. He's just like it doesn't need to do that much. And he's just head to toe lucky and he's one of those actors in in real life you like no. Yeah he looks the same dealings giving you passed my God. Yeah no with all respect easy. Mary's and he's married. Jessie okay. All right so we're going to be very respectful about this. But what's very interesting is like you must have watched the show as well right. Yes yes in so. It's interesting as you too. who were watching the show but you were never working with him ever ever I mean what would you meet them at like? The premiers of the season one was like a hope and a wing and a prayer. Yeah and we were all in it together and we would like twenty four hour days and Mike. Everyone was like drunk or tired or whatever it was but it didn't matter because we're all together and it was. It's beautiful and so me kit. Richard Modern Alfie Allen Finn Jones I mean basically they're a bunch of British actors all at the same age so we all found one another Oh and we all got Powells and we stayed pals consistently throughout the whole thing so kit and I've been mates from like back in the day. Okay because I guess I imagine that you guys were in always. We're always in different locations in the same party location. Okay sure you know what I'm saying is in the same one of those locations and they would these times when it would be quite disparate and we would miss each other but so kidnapping Powell's also for a very long time and I am actually best friends with his wife so I met his wife oversee three him and then was like I'm taking a Zuniga..

"I was hinting at earlier you would have preferred to go to the preparatory school for Oxford Right. But you didn't get in there but then when you when you graduated what we would call high school here you then applied to a few different drama schools ones that there were acronyms and I don't know apparently like to to. I'd played to like to because I was sheltered in this boarding school environment. That by the way I was in a `Nigma end like I was the not wealthy kids very wealthy school right. Jerry means that you need to come to my house I find him thing. I similarly grew up with very little money in my family's family's obsessed with making money right so fucking hard to make money. I was very prone to feeling less than than people with money and I hated rich. People right still trying to get over it chip on your shoulder about like their Ripley's the cost structure ending mint. It's here you guys have to but in England it's like a whole other thing. Oh tell us say you've got albacore class low class right. That's tone of but in England for a very very very long time. You have upper class where you could be cooled house pool. Oh so you have been an incredibly wealthy family for hundreds and hundreds of years and you own the state be manner. But you can't afford shoes right. I've read about this. Those houses requires much money money right in one room with the tiny heater and no one. Has I have friends like this where they technically come from huge fast amounts of old old old money but they technically themselves have nothing. Thanks so being incredibly portion privilege but not actually having any money to but you'll still in that bracket but no town money. Yes exactly exactly. And then below that is what just because there's also rich people without titles right. Yes annoy the money so the thing is all of these terrible terms. But I mean they've been around in England for a very long time so when you go to a very privileged old school rich school you've got you've got the mix of people who like get happy. Wednesday president is like you know from tiffany's or whatever and then you've got people who have seven worth seven generations of hand me. Downs sounds but live in a costume and a call blood. And then you've got someone whose parents spent all of their money on sending you to that school because they thought they were giving you the best option that you had and you came from a very middle class but were you embarrassed by the fact that you didn't have money like they did well. Yeah and it was more like what kind of school well does and what we have is that like you end up coveting a status. That is completely forever out of your reach because you're not allowed right. Not Your family doesn't go back generations of being like Henry the eighth. Yeah so when people tonight head right we read about that like Sir. Anthony Hopkins was knighted. Right right so he he wasn't from that class or he would have just been one. No I say that I mean you can yet. That being knighted on your merit of what you've provided. Why did England with as completely away from the class structure that you bought into but it can really fuck people up will carry on like so? Let's say that Sir Anthony Hopkins has some children. He children whatever then carry this title. Are they know things. It's its own Thang Monica's GonNa check check that'd be a fun one actually. Yeah Okay so what you did. They'll get into the drama centre of London. Yes yes indeed. You love immediately ask you did that was I. saw first time round. I applied to like to because I wasn't in the acting world but I wanted to be an actor for like two years old because your debt. You would go to the theater with your dad. He's sure yes uh-huh yes I loved it. I loved it the magic or I watched a lot of TV or which lower film what was kind of obsessively into acting. And all that could bring and then was like one of my team School and so then kind of thought I would just happen. And then realize that. I'd been in very academic environment. That wasn't baby very arena of like people who wanted to draw school so all of my excuses to why didn't get anywhere the fuss around and then the second round applied to every drama school. I know he was on the wait. Wait list of the one which center and a Goldberg Collegue and I go to L.. Thank goodness thank goodness we think about because I read that from three three years old. We blew by one thing that I forgot to say. You have eleven names. Move into this name. Amelia Isabelle you. Femi Ah correct well done rose Clark wjr names guru soup indecisive indecisive parents your family like is that all the females in your family. Yeah was so. I was called something else for ages and then they decided on a media. Because I didn't look old enough to be cooled Isabelle's my name okay. They figure I mean. It's a newborn child. Isabel was I think my grand someone on my Dad's side Euphemia was my grandmother's actual name. We call to Fi fi cool I love it. Yeah rose I think was on my Dad's side light but yet they just couldn't decide cramps probably wanted more kids than we lost one so you graduated in two thousand nine yes right you say that and it sounds right. Okay yes by the time you audition. For Game of thrones two thousand ten. You've done like a dozen plays. You are in a soap opera in London. I definitely didn't do a dozen plays. Okay so you fly to La yes and okay and how many folks are in the room. I feel like I blacked out for the experience but I think that was probably like twenty people in like his cinema rotatory. Yeah how essentially like that square was he didn't like a screening room now. I know what it is I I was like. Oh this is just a gopher see movies all the meetings up in these big cinema rooms that makes cents. Yeah so Harry was there and yeah and I was there in the face recognized with three faces. David Donovan and frank you did the scenes but then you ended up doing a bunch other weird shit. Yeah well because before Hun Franken taking me aside and listened sweetie. There's going to be things that they might ask you to do outside of just doing the scenes and I'm like okay cool. Oh my God. What does that mean and he was like as cool? Everything's fine. I just want you to be aware might ask some questions they might bub-bubba. Just be be prepared. It's all good little. Did I know that they were gunning for me to have. Hbo Sign off on me. Because I was a complete total like it was a complete gamble so I was kind of going in with their hopes as well as my own and so at the end I was just so nervous and just so scared addressed up. I mean like I had my hair blown out of the dress and I did not look willowy. O'Toole or any of the things that they were expecting the chick willowy the`real and and and little round face around each each and David Benny off I was like. Can I do anything anything else. Can I do what I'm here. This is what I need cleaning exactly great petite uh-huh and David was like what you could do a dance. ha ha ha. Because he's really a very dry sense of humor took him literally and I did one yet. Yeah like bang out some running man and then you do like the cabbage patch. ooh Gene turns not myself I someone else was cast right and then someone sideways. We don't know the shot. "Dash special edition really right littman. I'm Hellawell jam session teatime crossover event in the spirit of great television. We Love Crossover Event Lover Knock Great Television. What's going for it yeah. It's really negative because it was a really bad show we'll bounce Dallas and positively the phoebe Waller Abridge high of one in this is not fair. Thanks Jeff. Why why am I not in high too. I UH-HUH OH yeah yeah. It was a great night for her. That's true but to me. It was a television show true. No not definitely not what I mean. I think you know you're right on that note kate. Why don't you kick things off on a high for us. We're GONNA talk with highs and lows. We'll go back and forth all right start positive. I was the red carpet action pretty good pretty fun lot of color you know from the men and the women we love a color jacket. I'm I'm trying to do my best like Juliana ransack because it working your calendar at all you know mercilessly Nicolas Coster Waldo. They just like did the goal they are in Green. Yeah he looked really good. He looks great seen him look bad but I drew this award show as he does in every single still of photography taking him ever Israel. Where's the talks really well of any family well. It's a gift Lotta Pink and red dresses which I liked all of them. I think we were talking about just looks like a huge. Valentine onstage dynasty chic which I was into like Mandy Moore could've just like stepped off like an eighty soap op right and that's what I want for my fashion. We also have to Raji. GP Henson Great Yeah. All three of them have either watch dialing Hollywood on Netflix but I've heard it's really good it is really good and like the the first three episodes center around Dang Raji Henson's emmys dress code and yes this last year okay because Jason Baldness her stylist stylist and they're really good friends to show and so I was just thinking styling Hollywood and season two can't wait to hear about distress. They held it shadow styling Hollywood. One of Netflix few wins tonight. flicks yeah slow for them kind of great. Let's commercials now. ozark night were their networks commercials which wines the breaking bad movie. Yes that's true the Camino last hour. There were a few three just kept seeing the new netflix seven million. Leeann streaming sites now and there were commercials for all of them and there's a lot of apple plus huge. I feel like it anyway back to fashion. I also might think probably my favorite was purchase. There's Clarkson. She did like blonde more tissue atoms which is real kate everything you want from purchase. Clarkson ever but yeah it was great never looked great. We all oh really Zendaya so late though like we didn't really see your until she walked out in glasses she present which was fabulous. She's got the marvel money and she's a cool kid. So Oh yes you need to get there early. That's true. Actually she doesn't have marvel money anymore. Right right YEP per spiderman series is dead. Maybe they only mice. I'd still like to you see how that's ultimately resolved but yeah we know about that stuff too. I WANNA share that Kid Harrington who I generally have no interest in as John Snow or in real life but I thought he looks phenomenal Q. Like the Best I've ever seen him. Maybe yes maybe the best never looked tie really channeling Richard Madden which was a great look for him also recommended not show which was Sassou. Ask You guys see what Richard Man did in debt yeah bill t rex out of Lego instagram could for him huge flex. You know I'd like to nominate Emilia Clarke while around the gas are- if Valentino I I'd love to know about. I assume it's tape. That's involved in this attraction but she's wearing confidence. She looks great. I was so ready to root against I'm sorry I did but she made it a little bit more difficult than I had plans. At least you followed through my Rudolph and Michelle Williams both in floral patterns both looking great really really enjoyed that more Michelle Williams in a few minutes. I liked Natasha. Leones look also should we talk about Natasha. Leone clapping. Yeah you're cool. Kidman Adman clapping apparently it is interesting way of clapping. It is like she just learnt how a small child when you teach them how to do applies their hands together but she was consistent in it. She applauded for a lot of people which we appreciate. I really liked it. She was wearing glasses during the show. I just love glasses formal. Look look at the Oscars Golden Globes and EMMYS. It's very common and I think it's a great I would do it. Billy Puerto Ricans and also the formal yes. It's a great addition. It's fake furnished. We're on the same the same people to do it because like young always does it. Oprah as a love the former bosses Amanda. I'm happy to tell you that the Tasha Leo Gift of her clapping readily available for whenever you need that's great people are ready. I think that makes sense. I'm just going to try to do it in my own life. One more nomination. Naomi watts she looks phenomenal and black just logged in just great the new game of thrones star new game. It's just getting ready. I I liked we'll talk a lot more reckoning with routes but I like to the end of the show how David any off who is my one true love can be like and now it's over we did it and now it is over totally disavowing try to shut out any notions of the prequels and spin offs that are that are coming alright great injection positively positively we'll ride this enthusiasm into talking about the most awkward moment of evening which was allow a complicated one which was when. Phoebe Waller Bridge won on Best Actress in a comedy beating out Julia Louis Dreyfuss in her final season as Lena Meyer from beep and bridges incredibly happy. Kate was incredibly happy. Many people on the Internet were incredibly happy. Let's get this out of the way. This is a pro fleabag podcast. You're lovely about free. It's one of the best things that that I've seen in any medium in two thousand and nineteen. Maybe in the decade yet great up there yeah fix perfect episodes a season two. Yes at flawless sure but Julia Louis Dreyfus purpose is probably the best television actress of in history. Yeah I think she's like Lucille Ball and Carol channing. Yes and she had one for veep. I believe every season she had been nominated and she was going to break the record for the most emmy wins by a woman of of all time and she she is there's also a breast cancer survivor yeah and that happened between these seasons so I think we all assumed that this would be her emmy and and it was not and that's the way the cookie crumbles moreover everyone in the room assuming yes so it was like the most tepid response. It's a win from a show that is universally praised yes. I'm sure that no one's like fleabag doesn't deserve it deserve. It really sucks sucks. That's how the point just was such an incredibly awkward moment. Totally I think okay like root for history. It's like when you walk or it's and you want to see a record broken or you. You want like someone's got hot. Hand you want to leave him in the game but as long as possible like it's okay to root for history it's okay to experience that moment and it was just really awkward. Yeah and it's also a fever waller. Bridge did not really read the room in that moment. I was wondering I guess veep is maybe not a big deal in the UK. They don't care about it. They're like we have in the loop. We don't actually need the American version of IANUCCI stuff but she was like thanking her agent and I just it wasn't the note that you wanted at that. Moment also weird for her to be profusely thanking or agent given the feud between writers and agents right now. Yes weird moment. It was not mentioned once during the entire telecast now's house per day and there was a lot of ignoring everything going on TV. No one was talking about streaming services. Everyone was just you know thinking whatever likes Amazon that that helped them. A lot of Amazon wants by the way but yeah it just it. It was uncomfortable. Even though it was happy yeah it's like not undeserved served right with the moment felt wrong and it. Kinda sucks then for our bread shoes. True talent is actually Frank Kayla. I will say like she seems super for actress to me in that moment in a way. I don't like to acknowledge and I just like Oh. This is a real actress but she also had just been up there like I think it would have been different if she hadn't won anything yet yet right right right so she had just been up there. She's up there again. It's like Oh you again like everyone loves her but like it is. It would have been different than if it had just been the first win for few celebrity yeah so it's tough. It's a no win a little bit she continued to she did continue to win now. She did and it was awesome. That fleabag won best comedy. US totally detailing curling. Everyone say their favorite episode man you go first the last one I mean come on the answer here. I soon as you said that to me. I I also kind of don't think of them as discreet right so it's entirely it was just one you could put those together and it would be like one very long movie and it would be kind of perfect shorter then some worth celebrating movies kate the first episode the pilot was the second season yeah great one of the Jumpsuit Yeah Mine's the number three's Kristin Scott Thomas See Russia Kristin Scott Thurow's Jonzon hot priest socially tough but you got yeah Kristin Scott Thomas. Oh yeah that's a trade. That's funeral so many other version of one yeah one we don't talk about the new one in the really funny thing about season into fleabag is just like everyone acknowledges now including TV while our bridge how essential Andrew Scott as you play the AK Moriarty too many of us who watched Sir Lock. Yeah weird very greatest in yeah. It was really cool and she when she turned to him accepting best comedy. It was like we did this because Andrew. You're Scott came in and that was cool. It was great and also you finally got to be on stage which was good so a motive. Actually I just want to say I love back. I don't need any more Brett Gelman twenty twenty between fleabag and stranger things. Yeah Ozone Lot shred amount of everything done. We're done offense. I guess it's it's really inherently offensive thing okay moving on so that was like a low and then and then I within a low below the recovered itself yeah. Just I mean it is remarkable. It's saying that is a special as fleabag actually won the emmys. We don't see actually the best. Things don't usually win awards. That's literally every awards show and fleabag winning and phoebe Waller winning for writing. It's just like wow we did it. That's great yeah so that was good good job on this one thing good Johnson. Okay Okay Hi Michelle Williams speech amazing stuff amazing stuff. This is also what happens when you practice and you prepare and she had clearly given some thought to what she wanted to say and not. Maybe she wrote it. I'm not really sure because it was definitely well-crafted and she hit her points but it was more that she had an idea and she wanted to turn this into It's a speech about equal pay which is like something. She's been crosshairs about a lot. If you remember when they did the re-shoots for I guess it was called all the money in the world it was the Getty Nassar Getty show out of it so Kevin Spacey's the Laura for Christopher plummer and they did the re shoots her fi versus Mark Wahlberg fee. Yes she took like a daily fee and Mark Wahlberg at one point five million dollars and then it became a thanks so she I used that in order to talk about a Fosse verdant. FX And the support and what happens when you actually do support of working specifically women have car work. She just like she had the stats. That's she nailed it.

The stars took to the red carpet for a special screening of the first episode ABC's will reap was there for the inside scoop. It was an epic red carpet fitting for the finale of game of thrones lazy? Characters from the past. Presence. Answering the tough questions. Jacob Anderson who plays the warrior grey, worm on who he would have liked to see his character take down. I wish I could spare on Jeffrey that would have been because he he was a. I feel like he needed a spe he needed this. Good sparing Emilia Clarke on leaving her mother of dragons character behind forever. I mean, she doesn't crack as many, David. And dragons, but she does in the women. John Bradley who plays the affable Sam on where he thinks his character and Gilly should settle down. He seems to be the place. They deserve a holiday. Hand on the show where you never know who's going to live or die actors revealing whose demise is touched them the most difficult. Sean amazing because it was just shocking. Main characters coder. "Game of thrones. Actress Emilia Clarke admitted this week she underwent to brains. Surgeries and nearly lost her life after suffering two brain aneurysms, one of which rupture. Dr Tonya Dixon, a neurosurgeon at Texas. Help joins us now on the Carol Newsline, Dr Dixon. What are you know, about our case, she asked for aneurysm could actually ruptured, and it causes a brain bleed. And she actually she was having difficulty talking. She was somewhat impaired from the rupture of the aneurysm this common and somebody that young she's only twenty four years old, a usual age for aneurysm when we see him rupture usually after the age of forty people between like thirty five to sixty. So it's a bit uncommon to see that in her age group are there any signs or symptoms? Unfortunately, they're not too many signs and symptoms initially that can alert a person usually the first symptom that you may have sometimes people would get a a headache. But usually people don't think oh, wow. I must have an aneurysm that ruptured most people like, you know, just a migraine, and it goes away. The aneurysm ruptures. However, people will get to veer headache and people describe it as the worst headache of my life. When there's no true warning signs. Unfortunately, what causes an aneurysm because she said she had to a lotta time. It could be here Terry, which is a small percentage, and it sounds like with shared that might have been the case because she's pretty young usually people are born with the aneurysm. The factor is that can predispose people trainers. One is just being a female each person is a smoker. We actually have a lot of research that shows a correlation between nicotine. And brain aneurysms and brain aneurysm ruptures. What does the recovery look like? So the statistic once an aneurysm ruptures, actually, fifteen percent of people don't make it to the hospital alive. That's one five usually of the people that make it to the hospital about sixty percents maybe severely impaired neurologically after they make through the hospital. Stay the usual courses. Let's say a for we find a ruptured aneurysm. And we treated the usual course hospital say is about three weeks because we have to watch for certain things that could happen and develop during the person's hospital stay as a result of the ruptured aneurysm. So it's not just saying Nishel brain assault that happens. But it also. Also in consequence certain things that could happen due to the blood irritating. The blood vessels in the brain get information, really good stuff to know. Thank you so much. Dr Tanya Dixon from Texas

"She's got more of a reputation for being a bitch as opposed to tie win. Who is deaf a bitch, but respected, you know, everyone was afraid of him. But she like if she was a boy, then you know, there would have been so this this is the new trailer. And I want to thank you both for watching this because I think you were both avoiding it for doing this shine. So trying to I think they did a pretty good job of not really spoiling anything. There's a few things that I think could be taken the spoilers, and it's just one of the few shows. Right. I'm unable to guess what? The next episode will contain and for me always thinking of like plots and comparing it to other things like I ruined shows for myself. But doing that I mean, you don't have any expectations of the end of the show. I do but I'm generally wrong. Yeah. And it's. The host one of the few shows that's ever done that for me. Which is why I was like, you know, season two. I was like all right. Well, I'm not gonna hug an investigate this show at all like at least looks up spoilers and stuff like there's like oh leaked images of Peter Dink legend Emilia Clarke together on and I'm like, I don't wanna know that because I want I want him to like roll off a boat and then get to capitated in the first episode and be like oh shit. Like, those are believable scenarios and game of thrones at this point. Yeah, I think online culture in a way has ruined a lot of good television. And we do it to ourselves. I've definitely done to myself where it's because you have these burning questions which are supposed to get you into the show. But now every TV show, no matter how big or small has a community behind it. And then people immediately start sharing screen shots theories. All this stuff, and I have found entertainment to be less enjoyable that way. But. I get it. Because we we as a as a human race have the burning question for answers, and we can find them from each other. But when it's entertainment that doesn't really mean anything, it's just it's pure enjoyments. How do you want to consume this content? You wanna go in with an idea of what's going to happen? Or would you rather? Just be completely surprised. And that's I I'm the latter. I don't really want to be spoiled by stuff anymore because I have been spoiled it too many things I just try not to watch trailers in general. But I think this show in particular is super deep on the mythology in the mysteries and the questions. So there are, you know, dozens of YouTube channels and websites outlier with theories, and and like digging into the world books and all that I find that very interesting. And like, no one knows what's going to happen. I don't live inside a Dyson sphere. I'm also I'm also this ended person who memorize is shit unintentionally this shot. Yeah. I now await the whole season until I see that shot. And I soon as I see someone with that armor. I'm gonna go. Oh, I know they're going to be. On a crack inch it. It's one of the things that ruin movie trip movies for me now is because when you see most of those shots in a trailer. You're just waiting for that shot. Yeah. Or the movie can't end because they haven't gotten to the palm trees yet. Exactly. I'm pretty good about forgetting those things a lot of it's my it's my fault. But I'm like, I'm not the kind of person who laughs at the joke in the movement that was in the trailer because there's like captain marvel or whatever when she punches the old women there were dying..

"I'll take that good one and so then i go that place and had like oh this is this is this is how hot is will i was reading some other interviews you've done in the way it sounds well a quote you right back i got the jewish grandmothers and all the farcical parts clo like it may be hard for some of our listeners but you basically said that you felt like everybody else there was more beautiful more talented all the stuff how could the speak i mean like like you hood our was coming out this reading for someone who said that they wanted to be not time i didn't really think through how would it is to become an actor until pretty late in the day because i was just like i'm just going to do it it's going to be fine i believe in myself that's enough it's not enough yeah i know yes it wouldn't and just got the rudest awakening was like oh my god i need to have read old of this stuff i haven't read i need to have watched all of these things i don't know you know it could quote clueless sure but that's that only goes and you know i'm not stupid i i was away and when i was a much smaller i would learn shakespeare for help but getting drama school i really understood what it was to actually be an active actually really know you'll croft and be taught and the fuss rule that we to it was the first would of acting as the stage so it was really pretty hard cool conservator in it's through which for someone let me i just loved that on really really loved get my teeth into it and kind of never taking a day off working as hard as i could make the beaver in the class and trying ready hud which resulted in a lot of grannies i mean is that frustrating to you though at the time that you know did you feel like.
