"Better long, where the game starts. Okay guys, we gotta talk about Hardin tonight. Sixers at home, they take on the next bob Bryan. I made the prediction that with hardened back, I think the sixers are going to be in the finals. What do you think about what you've seen so far? And what do you think about tonight? The dicksville notch sampling we've had of two games is terrifying for the rest of the league. If this is going to be maintained. Now, they didn't play. If they did Timberwolves and they played the Nixon and Nixon right now. There you go. A disgrace. So you can't fully judge. But the predictions about the pairing of embiid and harden and what that might entail in the first two game is a down Maury wet dream. It's all coming to true. Do you guys have MB this averaging 34 points a game in the two games that played? It shot 27 free throws in the second game. And I'm sure that most automotive recipients have passed us from Hardin. Hardin had 16 assists and in that game. And just think if they did that what they should do with assist, which is if you've thrown the system a guy makes a free throw, that should be an assist. They should go by haps if they have they've only makes one. I mean, now I've been saying that for 40 years. Because, you know, why should you be cheated when a guy misses a layup if you give him a great pass? Anyway, Hardin has been spectacular. He had a triple double with not no news. He's been great. And guys, and the pilot fish known as tyrese maxi it's been good. It's scored 28 and 21 in those two games. And there was a lot of legitimate speculations of about whether he would benefit and how much it would benefit based on the first two. So so far in the early returns, very, very early against a social team and a horseshit team, the results have been fantastic. We knew the guy had it in him. If he just chose to do it. I just don't know if he can sustain it. Again, can he stay healthy for a two month run in the playoffs? Like that's my bigger thing is you've got Joel embiid who knock on what has been healthy for a while now. And James Harden, who again, his body looks like he's my age. And I'm 50, by the way. All right. I might have a better body than James Harden at 50 years old for somebody who never works out or rarely works. That a better step back..

"Okay. Let's open up the mailbag. Okay, so I'm going out of order here because it seems just like the flow here is better from our outline. But we actually got an email from a listener named Rohan. It's a different Rohan. Interesting. Interesting. But he sent us this quick little thought exercise. Start bench cut. Oh, this was a great question. Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, Manu ginobili. Start bench cut. So thank you, Rohan, for emailing that. For me, can I just go first? Because this took me 5 seconds. And I was very confident in my answer. Did not think too deeply about it. And love what I have to say. So I'm starting clay. I'm benching Manu, and I'm cutting Kyrie, and I'm sleeping great at night. That sounds like somebody who had to endure the 2019 Boston Celtics. That's what that sounds like. That sounds like somebody who bought a Kyrie Jersey when he said he was going to resign in Boston, but didn't have the fan assurance on it when he left. Couldn't trade it in for a different player. Couldn't trade it in for Peyton Pritchard. I actually regret. So I honestly did have a Kyrie T-shirt Jersey and regret throwing it away because I could have just taken the duct tape and done the Payton Pritchard. That would have been very complicated. How I would have done that actually. But Peyton Pritchard, I don't need to get into a shooting splits right now, but he looks great. So what would you do here? Please, please play Peyton Richard during the playoffs. Let's go, baby. I don't think it's as simple as you do, certainly. I miss Manu. I tweeted I miss my dude. This question inspired that when I saw the outline and I, to be honest, I've yet to settle on an answer. This entire time, I've thought about it on and off ever since I saw the outline. And I think I think I'm starting clay bringing Kyrie off the bench and cutting Manu. But that's like that might just be recency bias. Sacrilegious thing to say. I'm sorry. This is just so hard to separate those guys. And I hate this exercise because it's forcing me to act like one of them's not good. All three are fantastic basketball players. No, they're all great. They're all great basketball players. I will say this. When there's a top 125 years, clay and Manu are gonna be on it before Kyrie Irving. I'll tell you that right now. I'll tell you that right now. So. No, it's not even, that's not up for debate. That's a fact. I know what you're saying. I also just think that like, yeah, man, what Kyrie did in the 2016 finals was insane. Cool. Yes, he did. He had like, that was one of the games. Okay, but three biggest games when you needed the three biggest games. Manu's never done that. And I love Manu and one of my all time favorite players. Okay, we should move on to I know we're saying this. You're forcing me to choose. It's not like I'm anti monument. I'm just like, can I play a little bit of devil's advocate here? Now you're making me out to be this big kairi support. But that series was nuts, dude. What do you want from me? Yep. My answer to the series. My answer to that question is I don't know. "Looked good. Yeah, I think that the supporting cast and all the role players trying to fit in around harden and embiid is now that was kind of my concern last week. And I still think it is somewhat of an issue. We saw Tobias Harris is really figuring it out hard and spoke after the Knicks game saying that Harris passed up 5 or 6 wide open spot up shots and tried to put the ball on the deck and that's the type of player to buy users is. And he hasn't really been super confident in his three point ball. This season, so. It's not a given that he'll fit beside harden and Bieber. He can't ever really develop a rhythm. I think they called, they probably called more than one play for him in that game, but the one I noticed or I only noticed one play called for him. And you know, as you were saying, there's staggering these two guys, which makes a ton of sense. But I mean, Hardin's playing those benjamins with Harris a lot, too. It's what it seems like. The plan is right, right, right. We'll see about in terms of backup 5 Willie cauley Stein they signed to attend a, you know, I don't know if he's going to be able to kind of make the most of an opportunity at some point over the next couple of games. Paul Millsap is a backup 5 probably not viable in a playoff run where you're trying to win four playoff series. So we'll see how that shakes out. But maxi has looked really good. I think that that was also a question mark. He just, I mean, he's just such a really he's just a really special player. Like I love tyrese maxi is probably my favorite player on the team, honestly. I don't think it's the best player on the team. I think he's my favorite, just to watch how he kind of single handedly increases the tempo. You were talking about how the Knicks and the Timberwolves really weren't able to attack Hardin defensively. They tried a little bit, but. It really gets you out of your offense when you're trying to run like a pistol action on the side, and force a switch, and they were doing that with fournier and Randall a little bit. And the Knicks are just garbage. So they turn the ball over and I was going to say trying to say, some teams, I think, are going to be able to do it better than others, right? I look at it seem like Atlanta that's almost kind of begging you to switch all their actions because of the number of similar sized guys that are playing on the wings, et cetera. Miami with their off ball movement. I mean, if they try to hide harden on Duncan Robinson, they're going to be running him through screens, control hand offs with Pam. Chicago is going to be a really, really fascinating matchup. Especially when they're at full strength. I'm not saying these teams are better. I'm curious. I'm excited to see it play out. I'm not predicting it one way or another, but I'm really excited to see it play out. There were a lot of good games on yesterday, by the way. Sunday, I mean, 6 years in its game. Did you watch that jazz suns game? I did watch that game. Yes. I was watching it, and I down the stretch. Down the stretch, I thought the sun's had a really good chance to win that game. I think they kind of lost it just because they got dominated in the white side minutes actually. Their starters were playing really well. Tell me what you think of this. I thought it was a little interesting. Late in the game, they're obviously running high pick and roll with Gobert. With the sons have been better off hiding Deandre ayton in the corner on Daniel house. Putting Crowder on Gobert and switching everything. So taking a playbook, taking a page out of his playbook, basically, where they put rob Williams on a wing and they put jaylen Brown on the big so that they can switch everything. Sure. Yeah, if you want to give him credit for coming up with that basketball strategy. Well, I mean. You got to do what, okay, so if you do that, I don't think that that's wrong. And it just felt like they were getting a really good shots in that game, yeah. Yeah, and I mean, Mitchell's pull up three. He's super confident in it. And so you really can't deep drop. So maybe the adjustment is to bring 8 and a little bit higher on the floor, but then also you got to be tight with the rotations on the backside if Gobert is rolling and but Gobert's just played really great basketball in the past. I don't know like a week and a half. But yeah, I mean, you always keep me on my toes. And I really appreciate that. We have a son's related question coming up that display, but let's go back to the sixers for two seconds. I guess just like. Defensively, is that the biggest concern now for you? I know, I feel like sixers fans are very angry at us because we frame everything from a negative standpoint where we're looking for the flaws in this team, I'm just dubious still because like harden holding up, it's strange. Disbelief for me hardened, just looking so bad and then suddenly looking so good and why like what will it take for either his body to suffer another tissue related ailment or I don't know, something about it at this point is listen, I'll just say I'll just say Mike, I just want to see like I'm a skeptic because frankly. This sounds like such an old man thing to say. I don't know if it's because I'm turning 30 later this year. I just want to see some more like respect for the competitive spirit of the game. That's what it is. Like James Harden, you've put on two teams in a row, you've like time and time again had playoff failures for the last ten years and I'm not one of those obviously there's nuance to those, there's contacts, et cetera, but I'm a skeptic just because I just do you want someone who so clearly quit on two straight teams to like, are you excited about this? How do you get excited about that? How do you get excited about someone who is willing to just give up on his teammates? You know, it was one thing in Houston where although, again, he was the one who, do you look at what happened in Houston, for example, okay? He couldn't get along with Chris Paul, and he said, get this guy out of here. They bring in Russell Westbrook. It doesn't work. He said, yeah, you can trade Russ. And now he's like, I don't think this team can win. I want to get out of here. And it's like, again, like escaping any accountability he had for all the failed partnerships he had in Houston. He says Philly was his first choice. I just have a hard time believing that that was his first choice and he somehow ends up in Brooklyn. But okay, you end up in Brooklyn. Yeah, you're playing with Kevin Durant. He's one of the best players in the game. Arguably the best. I understand this Kyrie thing is literally a once in a century once in a lifetime. Once in a generation occurrence with this pandemic and the vaccination rules, et cetera, he's getting fed up, but we just saw him openly quit on his team in that Sacramento game..

Because this email, I'm like chopping at the bit to get to it. Let's do it. You literally, he's literally rubbing his hands together. I know. And excitement. I was next email. I had to get the lotion out. Okay, so this email comes in from Alex who writes hi Michael Rohan and brother herring. I love how brother airing is catching a good brother. I haven't heard from him since he spoke to Spike Lee. He doesn't respond to anything in the group chat anymore. Yeah, no. He's a big diving us. Yeah. Dame dash. My name is Alex and I'm from Wichita, Kansas. I have been a longtime listener and fan. I don't think I have missed an episode in a couple of years. Shout out to you, Alex. Thank you, Alex. All I seem to hear from the media is praised for Joel embiid and how he has put the 76ers on his back and his quote leading the MVP race. I just can't help but ask a question. Why is everyone seemingly pretending that Nikola Jokić is not doing what he is doing on a nightly basis? Jokic leads embiid in every per 36 category aside from turnovers with an almost negligible difference and points. Not to mention, if you pull up advanced stats, it is ludicrous. How many categories jokic leads in? I understand that jokic is not the quote sexiest player. And from a marketing standpoint, he probably isn't the best choice to label as the face of the MBA. But when you look at the numbers, he is almost undoubtedly the best player in the world not to mention the fact that the nuggets have rattled off 8 of their last ten and are sitting in fourth place in the Western Conference. Why is everyone just ignoring.

"Back and a vogue with guys like Jayson Tatum Donovan Mitchell for young Luka Dončić the top end guys are now getting those again but captain get one. So he's got two more years past this one. And yeah that would be very very interesting if it really became on the market because I think then we would start to see how much our teams willing to pay for size. Speaking of paying for Sasha doing to that these are professional. I love that transition right there. So yeah like it was all planned and didn't come to me in the moment. Ben Joel embiid we already talked about Ben Simmons with Joel embiid getting paid. It gets a four year max extension. As of right now the 2023 2024 cap projects to be about 24.9 million or so almost 25 million. So embiid because he's already qualified because of his all NBA status and those things. He is supermax eligible. So he will be in the supermax tier of $43.7 million first year salary. Total commitment over the life of the four year deal almost a $196 million through 2026 27 player option on that final year. No protections this time around if you were at the injuries. So you remember last time they did all sorts of funky stuff in there to protect them from back injuries foot and I think me were all part of the protections really could have done. He had to play in so many games and play a minute me minutes thresholds and all that clearly he did and his contract became fully guaranteed by Billy locked into the big man for foreseeable future for at least the next 5 seasons potentially sex. And it makes sense. He was a legit MVP candidate this season think you could have made an argument for him to win it. And look I mean it was probably a situation where they just said look what do you want? What kind of contract do you want here it is take it right? Like he's hit that tier of player. So I mean good move for Philadelphia to get him locked up get that set and now they move forward building around him and figure out whatever you're going to do with Ben Simmons from here. Yeah he's the best two way center in the league. Jokic is the best offensive center Gobert's the best defensive center and beads the best offense and defense center in the league. I don't I don't know anybody who can reasonably argue against that. I would you know I would love to have that conversation because I just I'm gonna vehemently disagree. But yeah I think he is you know we're right up there and. It's scary. Given his injury history to lock in for you know this much money you know 47 million average annual value or so for 49 million I guess it is..

"He was an mvp candidate for the number one seed in the eastern conference. He is the cornerstone of this organization. He is by all accounts beloved by everybody. You know. the teammate's respect them teammates like them. The fans like ownership like some coaching staff. I know it's easy to look at the injuries. But i think he also look the other part either they were a blown. Twenty point lead away from making the eastern conference finals with homecourt advantage. Maybe make the nba finals and he is the single biggest reason. Aside from kevin durant. Is there a better off offensive player in national basketball association aside and kevin durant when i can't sit here and say with a straight face at. Oh yeah he. He's a better off as a player. Joel embiid joel. Embiid gets buckets whenever he wants them like. He's that talented offensively. It's it. I mean and i say durant just because durant is a seven. Footer can get his buckets at any point. At any point of he get in inside the paint he can get a mid range she can get it from three. Kevin durant a score from anywhere. Joel embiid damn near can do the same thing without the without the handle of kevin durant. It's a it's a was the going price now in the nba. And he's the first domino to get that and it will be plenty more coming behind him getting the same thing in. That's just what they do in the nba. And that's why if you can make it to the nba mango. Make it to the nba. Because they paying you and pain you will well and you were talking before the show. This is not the first contract might look bad by the end. John wall slated to be one.

"I can't count on you. Okay as you know. I'm as big as i have been since before that draft when a member of the sixers called me and said. Hey what's your gut feeling on. Joel embiid i said he's a monster and if you can keep him healthy because he was having feet issues at kansas already and when you get big men we'll start with bill walton. It just derailed his whole career after he was the mvp took over the nba file. Seventy seven he was never quite the same. Just wouldn't allow him to stay healthy. So i said if you could somehow keep him healthy. He'll be the best big man in basketball. I still believe he is gin. Your yokich guy. I got it and it's very close between the two right but in the end this guy would scare me more than yokich because when this guy goes monster on you you you just cannot stop in and yet i can't defend him because he his rpm is not the hottest night after night after night but when he decides he is truly unstoppable. He can terrorize you on both ends. Because he can rim-protector like crazy and as you know he's as as great a big man seven foot plus throw shooter as i have ever seen the weakness visit. Mitterrand you can shoot three throw shooter back to the basket. Es coming off his career year it was so good and he finished a narrow second to yokich obviously in the mvp that qualified him for super max so he got it and he got the goods because not only is it guaranteed with him having a playoff an option in the the fourth year with their no more provision protecting the sixers in case of catastrophic trophic injuries tobacco or feet from here on. He's golden right to unfit. Okay so i believe. They are highly capable of winter championship. But i believe in. Ben simmons a lot more than you do clearly. He has psychological demons. He's got the free throw year. He is so shaky at the free. You believe who wants to be begin with been i would. I wouldn't give him up. He's too valuable to give up. All he's done is make three straight all star teams in two straight all defense teams and i saw him. I keep harking back to that february thirteenth game at utah out in be you when he went after go. Baird scored forty two on him and made twelve thirteen free throws because the motion. He's left obviously is pure. There's nothing wrong with emotion. It's all between the if you get him with the right psychologists psychiatrists slash shrink if you can get him on the couch and get him to eliminate the demons in his subconscious about the free throw line because obviously in the playoff game and gets atlanta. He got to the point. I don't want to shoot free throws because he has huge pride. That is really doesn't have honest. This shit like shameless at the line. Young to go up there and airball one or two and it's like i don't care in closeout out game. He started making them like the but the but the thing is i don't know how joel embiid and win a championship with a guy that shot one shot one shot outside the painting the fourth quarter and only three shots in the fourth. Quarter seven game series. He's sixteen eight eight and he can shut down trae young in any he can take the point guard out of the game. And it's just you can't find. I can't have it unplayable leading the ball game. He became unplayable dog. Took him out of the ball. Game be reported that he and dunk relationship. I have done irreparable. Felt like to me doc. Three him right undertones bus and drove it back. Joel embiid with driving above win. Win the game to add joel embiid. When did you feel the membership. Yeah i got it. There's still a lot of talent on that team because therese maxi has been dominated the summer league. He's second leading score. This refi danny green. They got please tell by his hair. Shake in how about. Seth curry made you forty five percent of his three-point shots. The pieces are there to be a championship. Your bed not getting past brooklyn. Pass the okay there. The peace. they're missing is a floor. General because i don't love been initiating the offense at six feet ten inches tall. That's what they do he brings. The ball starts right the offense he is the point whatever he is or whatever you wanna call it almost like a point center. But they are. You've talked about damian lillard but obviously they would have been damian lillard give up give get tomorrow earn. Know about that i. I'm not convinced about that. You think they want to give him up. I'm not so sure it want to give him up. He wanted to be going. Yup yup they got firepower. Give i just. I can't believe that you he hadn't had a torn meniscus during the plow run. It wouldn't shock me if they would be the nba. Champions this well did. They not have were they not in commanding positions against atlanta waltham. Now okay walked him down. He's got a torn meniscus and he was never quite calm. Which is what albay now. You have to hope that he stays hurt because if he's if he has one pure year where he's healthy can they went. Yes they can all. I can base it on his desk. He's been hurt more than he's been healthy. He'll say i gotta. I gotta hope he's hurt. You gotta hold these healthy just one which is an entire nba career. Hold that he's hurt. I'm just based on what i've seen since been in the nba. So would you turn down the supermax down. You can't say if you're sixers. Would you just say you can walk. No two more years these. What i'm saying is didn't you have disgruntled employee ronald. Yeah why are. We just got two years of the contract. Well if you didn't if you said no supernet and said we decline on that we're not going to give it to you right. 'cause they couldn't wait another year. Well you just let him go. Let him walk okay That's what you're saying you'd let him skip. Okay they got him on the contract for twenty twenty one and twenty twenty to lean into twenty twenty three so he would have really wouldn't be a free agent into the summer of twenty twenty three. Yep do i really did. Do i did. I really need to have to do that immediately. All i'm saying is based on his history. The guys miss two hundred ninety five games. That's what he's myths in his. Nba career you realize. They came within one shot. Which was the luckiest shot. I've ever seen in a playoff game by kawhi leonard of going to the nba finals. Right and it was against a golden state team. That was injury rack right. They were about to fall completely apart. And you don't think embiid could've one that series. Yeah i do think he could have scheme within one shot but remember he has tummy yeah but even with tummy in here it goes to the last shot in the ball bounces around the rim. Seventeen times and false run from the cordray. Never seen that before. He hasn't been that close in well. Okay but i thought they were really commanding position. And then his new partner in crime ran for the free wallow. You said okay you gotta keep been them with his partner in crime. You gotta get him fixed in the off season. You can't find sixteen eight all defensive team you can't that's that's extraordinarily.

"This is put into context like it was a historically outstanding year of actively for joel embiid who also brings a lot to the table. Defensively look. There's we've had this conversation many times over the years when joel embiid is at his absolute best He is on par with any great player in the league. And you can only say that about a few guys. But he's one of them right when he is at his peak powers he can for a series for game be the best player in a series that includes literally anybody in the nba. And so if you're not committing to him i mean to me. He's eligible for that supermax. If he's willing to sign that deal you sign him to that deal end of story. You mean like no no. No these are these are the. it's a matter of. does he want to sign it. We live in a day and age. And i do think again. You never know the way this stuff is going to play out but it is another guy that is you know not disenchanted with this situation. Nothing's can always change but he has not been you know playing in eastern conference finals. He has not been playing an nba finals. And yet he is not disenchanted and believes that he needs to go elsewhere in order to accomplish his goals and i think that probably says something about him and his comfort level and how much he likes being in philadelphia. I also think more importantly it probably shows that he is a level of trust in daryl and the brass at philadelphia to build a team around him in the near future. You know and not in not waste any more of these prime years. But you know. He's got some level of competence in the organization and so it seems as if much like the situation people are going to have to come to him. He's not gonna be going and trying to pair up with somebody else in a different situation in order to try to win at the highest level. And i think that's good for the league. I think it's good for the league for the more guys to be spread out slowly. I mean yeah. No doubt about it. And i mean for philadelphia. We'll see how this ben simmons saga unfolds like an upset long said. I expect us to role in the training camp. I expect daryl morey to wait as long as he possibly can to go for. Damian lillard whether or not damian lillard becomes available to the extent that the blazers are willing to dance and actually make a trade remains to be seen. But if you're thinking about the next stage of joel embiid beads career and his development. It's what he has never had before. And that's a permanent oriented playmaker. I mean jimmy. You have a much better shot of winning the east. Then if you have been simmons alongside joel embiid mitchell rose. Why are you so upset. We not doing net. We about let me tell you. Something if the philadelphia seventy sixers with their roster and their assets get on the telephone call portland trailblazers about dave lillard voicemail and people. Don't even listen to voicemail these days. You getting tame from portland to go to philly. There's a chance you may be able to get. Cj mccollum like dame's in the same category as joel embiid. These are two of the top eight players in the whole league that i i don't see that deal remotely taking place. If especially if. I'm the portland trailblazers. I think it's very important. The seventy sixers have joel embiid on this extension for four more years however as you mentioned with the nets and what they have and with the bucks and what they just did. This is not a top team in the east. They're going to need to get something back in a simmons deal. They're going to need to retool re up in order to get into the top two of these. Because i don't see it happening with ben simmons or anybody not named dame lillard back. Ben simmons jalen rose we have an update on one of the most important stories in the nfl. "According to ramona shelburne extension keeps them beat under contract with the sixers through the twenty six twenty seven season for a total of two hundred sixty one million embiid who represented himself in. The negotiations became eligible for supermax extension. The summer after finishing second and mvp voting and second team all nba with averages of more than twenty eight points ten rebounds in fifty one regular season games. This is a fully guaranteed deal in however player option on the final year of the deal. So stephen clearly no concerns about his health. Tell me this. How big of a deal is this for. The sixers will be Molly the first thing. I would tell you that That's not true. There are some concerns about. His health is just a daycare. It can't matter to the philadelphia. seventy sixers. he's such a superstar caliber player. I if it were not for durability issues we'd be calling him the best big man in basketball instead of yokich in denver. We all know how surreal. How big tom joel. Embiid is his game is just something special to behold and there's no question about it but then when you take into account as personality and how magnetic it is he's done he's willing to talk trash to opponents. He's willing to engage the fan base and get them. You know rallied in involved He's incredibly inspirational. Play as well. He's the cornerstone of this franchise. No question about it and when you take into account what transpired during the playoffs what you see during regular season. There's no fall off in the playoffs. With which would ben simmons. You looked at him and even though you know what he's capable of doing. This dude is a jump. Shot away from being the quality of lebron james. But he just doesn't have that and then he ran away from the basketball when it really really counted in the postseason. That's something else that elevated the stature of joel embiid in the odds of the philadelphia seventy sixers organization so this was a foregone conclusion. They absolutely had to give him this money. He's well deserving of it. He's the cornerstone of their franchise. He's a star. Everything goes through him in the city of philadelphia and they would have it no other way. Congratulations to him. It's well deserved injuries. Or no injuries. You had to give that. You had to lock him up because he is everything to organization and bead were it not for the injuries you could say. He's the most perfect center right. If he checks every single box up for the injuries he's like lajon is amazing right but and beads even bigger. That he's a he's a polar why he's a genuine seven-foot why body who can play with his back to the basket who could shoot from the outside who who can play defense even in the modern mba et an elite level for. He's a big. What what can this guy not do on the for except for stay healthy because stayed had he played a few more games even maybe a half dozen more games this year. He's the mvp instead of yokich. He's also a great not just good defender. He's great on both ends of the floor. And let me put this in perspective for you. How big time is embiid. When i was proposing damian lillard trade to the sixers lillard is a superstar and beat the one in that combination and beat is still the best player on that. Immediate lillard is on that end. Now i know statham about a give you an hembo tweeted it out earlier today. I saw this a couple days ago in sixers twitter statham about to give us a little unfair because all the retired players points per thirty six minutes. Averages stephen include the declining years of their career. Like if you look at. Mj's that includes his ears with the wizards. That wasn't mj anymore. You ever joey twenty points. His final seasonings. A fifty seven thousand years old and beat hasn't reached that stage yet. But do you know who the all time leader points per thirty six minutes in the nba. Is it would happen to be embiid. Almost a full point ahead of michael jordan ain't going to end his career that way but this moment how do you ever. He's had a bunch of years in his career already and he's and he's there. Embiid is a crazy. Great talent obviously worthy of extension. And as you pointed out and many others have the only by the way even has a great larger than life personality. Like the next shaquille o'neal in that sense the big man with a big lovable personality. You only issue is the injuries and steven. That's why he went third overall out of the draft. Like it's been that way. Since he entered the league will. I will say this. He's not the most perfect big man in nba history. I'm not gonna go that far. Because on many many occasions as skill and as gifted and the specialist he is one of the impediments. his success is the fact that he doesn't always play big some. He plays more meaning stepping away from that. So i'd like to see his big behind the post dominating small dudes on a more regular basis because we all know he can whenever he wants to. He just chooses to step away from the basket a little bit more. That was that is something that will qualify imperfection to me having said all of that. I think this is the biggest point to be made max when you consider what has transpired with the philadelphia. Seventy sixers all off season since ben simmons terrific performance in the playoffs particularly his free throw shooting specifically leading. She thirty percent thirty one percent for the free throw line how horrific that was remember. The cornerstones at a franchise was a two headed monster. Instead of one in people's eyes for while it was ben. Simmons and joel embiid the fact that bid. Simmons is such a huge question. Mark also is something that is elevated cachet of joel embiid because even joel embiid said something about how ben simmons had performed wants to season expired.
