"U. S. I was showcasing these moments that were painful for me. Not so that white readers could read it and say, Wow, that's horrible, but so that other people could read it and say, I relate to that now, the news Live from NPR News in Culver City, California I'm Duane Brown. The August 31st deadline comes in the face of the Taliban takeover of the war torn country. President Biden says the U. S military objective is complete. We want to Afghanistan. With our allies in 2000 and one for clear reasons. One to get the people who attacked us on 9 11 and to get Osama bin Laden. "Good on them. i suppose. Let's great right after a couple of twelve million dollars just goes out the door. I just feel like my credit card. Company cuts me off. If i spend too much money like out a state like power. They're not like obvious. Like red flag. You know like algorithms built into these massive financial. Let me same with iheart like for example we have corporate cars that we have to use sometimes and we were just at a conference and i had to pay for a bunch of hotel rooms for other people. I got a red flag email from our finance department. I think it was auto generated and then it was forwarded to me by an actual human making sure that these charges were legit and i said yes. They're legit but it was me the potential fraudster. That was saying yes. These charges are legit for reasons. So suppose if that same thing happened with our guy here it could have been a similar situation but just all of these just seem so suspicious every single one. Some weird stuff and i'm and we're not even going into all the details here but i'm going to read you this last thing which is so. Where did this money come from. He's working for a nonprofit associated with the university of south florida. They seem to be involved at least from my understanding with staffing so staffing. A lot of the organizations needs a medical really big medical schools. There it says according to article the stolen money quote came from the funds generated by patient care and sway for no state philanthropic grant or research money was impacted. So you know just the money that patients were going in for procedures and for healthcare. That's all there was stolen. But i guess from the company's standpoint that means that's basically their prophets. It's not the you know the money they were holding for any other major reason for can wild really weird stuff. What's stuff they don't want you to know. Well there are a lot of people who are somewhat connected to the financial processes of companies across the world and it makes me wonder how much of this stuff is happening on. What kind of scale right is it really. Tiny stuff are we are rethinking office space level here or are we thinking what the office space guys did accidentally right install millions and millions of dollars. It would be really cool to know if you've ever heard of anything like this if you've got an interesting account of something like this occurring or maybe even historical example we would love to hear from you. "Would. Just try and mask some of these payments invoices for large sums of money and he got away with it for a long time kind of weird. I'm trying to imagine a just to give an example nolan. Ben and i as a part of our duties as producers here executive producers. We have to do a thing where we cite invoices right. If we make a payment on behalf of the company for some service some good some recording equipment or some studio time we have to go through and report exactly what that is. Give her a seat you know. Give a reason for spending that money. Well ralph had to do the same kind of thing but the people around him the people you know who he reported to apparently were just not noticing or looking the other way or worse. Well i mean you know as we know being part of a large organization like like we are This seemed to be relatively small nonprofit corporation. compared to me. And i'm like iheartradio is a massive company and I think we've all you know to varying degrees Been behind on those expense reports and usually only get robo emails. It's not like we have someone knocking down our door saying hey where those expense report where those tps reports you know. Nobody is really doing that. So it's pretty common. I think for things like that to lapse. Y- we're not reporting is because we're doing anything nefarious. It's usually because we're just underwater. Haven't gotten a chance to get to it yet. And it's usually very obvious based on what we're buying and it's going to somebody you know it's not like we're stockpiling this but matt. This is not what was happening with this story. This was going to a very specific thing. it seems like it would have immediately raise the red flag if not just for this reason alone agree We're not doing anything wrong. And i'm just Stressing that but this this guy was and he was going to a weird place. Go into places. I'm gonna start on the lower end the stuff that's reported later in all the articles that you can read about this before we get to the juicy thing. No if that's okay lease spoil it. This guy is accused according to the tampa bay times of making around six hundred fifty thousand dollars in payments to llc that was owned by himself and his wife. she's like personal travel flight. Three hundred seventy five thousand dollars in personal travel. Can you imagine traveling that much. They cannot on travel a lot and we know those bills about to nowhere near that. Yeah how how will this one hundred ninety thousand dollars in rent payments trying to think of how much i've paid in rent over the course of my life. It's a lot of houses. A lot of places that i've rented. Don't think i get anywhere near that. So i'm wondering you know there's no breaking down of these numbers in these articles but yes in the court proceedings. I'm sure they're doing that One hundred and twenty one thousand dollars in house improvements. Oh no how will this twenty one grand in cell phone bills grid. Why cell phone bills like honored. Have i pay for my m. my mom's cell phone bill and it's two hundred dollars a month not a little less like what could possibly doing. But i don't know how to roaming died as a lot of romi. He also sent one hundred dollars to his wife's pay pal account. So you know that was really the nail in the coffin there but no. Let's listen to the main reason why we're talking about this as strange news. This guy found a way. Somehow i think this is one of the one of the main cruxes of why he agreed why he's pleading guilty. Why he signed the plea agreement back in june. He was funneling money to a website called my girl fund dot com now. What we're gonna talk about here. If anyone's listening and their children or younger people maybe consider pausing or skipping forward. I'll just say before we go any further. This is a. This is an adult website for adult things that we're going to discuss okay. We'll we'll continue. We only fans type stitch mad and like porn hub premium Like i just think any of the details. Say it's like a camp site if that makes sense but it's adult like chat campsite. I don't jeter bait probably chatter bait. Is that what it is. They got clearly not sorry. Sorry i really show my head here. all right. we'll start. The kids are gone. What is chatter bait. I don't even know what that is. It's just a campsite. It's a campsite that involves communication back and forth. I don't use it. I'm just i'm keyed in to the internet and the zeitgeist guys. I just know about this stuff. But it's yeah it's something where you can. Have you know direct communication. You can give gifts. You can give tips. You know it involves chatting directly and you can. Have you know the performers do certain things on how much you tip so point being is it's not a subscription service and it could be it. All bets are off thing. Where if you're really have a problem in some sort of like porn addiction rabbit hole. You could be dropping mad cash on a particular performer of your choice. That would be like Outrageous well you may think that. That's what ralph was doing but it seems like there's something else that plays well he according to the tampa bay times We said twelve point. Eight six million dollars in total that he embezzled well. Eleven and a half million of that went to my girl. Fund dot com. She's eleven and a half million dollars before you think. Wow this guy just was. Yeah like you said really into a few people and gave them a lot of money He was actually embezzling this money with they think authorities stink with the help of a family or a close family associate. Let's say i believe. They said he was his stepson's fiance. They reportedly an excel document that showed around seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars in profits that they had made through somehow giving money to this website and buying credits with that money. Because it's like a they've got a credit system where you use your your actual currency to buy the credits. Then you donate those credits to the person. The page of the person laundering. Cover up kind of kind of thing. Yeah this is. That's why i wanted to talk about it. It's really it's just something that i don't have a full understanding of what i'm interested in because it it reminds me of some of the scams. You can do with a gift card that you would buy totally from somewhere and then you put money. That's kind of. Ill gotten onto onto a card like that. Then you use that card or you can cash out that card. It's kind of like that. Only they were funneling it through this particular website so whatever they did because we don't know exactly we know that they were funneling tons and tons of money through this website. The question is whether or not the the people who run the website and the finances of the website. Had any idea it was happening because surely that was the large trip like those are large transactions. Yeah right or was it were just was it just the two of them working together. How else were they funneling. This money through this is what we have from the. Um essay according to the tampa bay times This full the full report that was generated found that the internal controls. You know after all of this stuff went down right. And several people got fired including ralph. Ralph fired his like an auditor got fired in another superior gunfire. This is why they found their controls for preventing fraud were weak. The university's internal audit team identified numerous transactions where he was just processing entries in a way that concealed his actions and it says they have since implemented enhanced control structures including upgrading financial reporting systems to better protect against criminal. Act.

What's happening over there in afghanistan probably seen a lot in the news lately or at least on social media More so on social media was even in the news that sentinel the phthalic opioid Has really been wreaking havoc on people causing tens of thousands of overdose deaths a year in your local communities local scenes or whatever you may have started to see people posting screen shots or image macro zor. Whatever talking about a street drugs being laced with fence inal which as we know. We've talked about it before. Especially in our big pharma episode and about purdue pharma particular how little sentinel it takes to cause a deadly overdose either images online where you can see a penny and then you can see some crumbs offensive on next to it and it's literally like one or two milligrams can cause you to absolutely drop dead. And it has a lot to do with wh- what type of fenland is because there are so many different cousins like chemical cousin. Thank you. That's a big part of what today's story about as well. It's sort of a two tiered story. but again with those you know shares that you might be feeling instagram about. It's about looking out for your friends. If you know any ad x unit users. I mean plenty of people. Do you don't have to be an addict to be a drug user but cocaine. mda things like that. There is or has been a lot of concern about the street drugs. That are laced with this. Potentially deadly substance that can cause an instant overdose. If just by and stuff leading a believe is the word for snorting or injecting just a few grains not grams mind you grains and so there's a lot of information or called action making sure you get this Overdose deterrent called narcan Which is like a little inhaler and you can literally save someone's life it's apparently very very very powerful And relatively easy to get you can get them. If pharmacies there are places that are passing out for free and teaching classes on how to use them. So it's a lot of the stuff that i've been seeing is about like being prepared and watching out for your friends and maybe carrying one of these around with you but the story for today is about a bit of a pr. Let's say misstep the san diego police department because yes while we know. This substance is very very dangerous it is still possible to fear monger about it in ways that could actually do more damage than create positive outcomes. And this is. I think what is happening with this story out of san diego. Essentially the san diego police department did. Was they released video. Which essentially it. It almost looks like you're watching a news package. You've got standups from these different officers body cam footage of young officer handling something evidence of some kind during a traffic stop in in a trunk and then all of a sudden passing out just like literally keeling over on his back. Then you have this very heroic footage of the body cam. The perspective shot of his partner. Unpacking one of these narcan inhalers from the blister pack. And then administering it to you buddy Then he's loaded onto a gurney and it's almost literally one of those like sitting up with two thumbs up. It's like thanks for saving me pal. and then it's got stand up. You know like talking heads of the officer his partner. And i believe what other representative of the san diego police department but the officer unequivocally says i overdosed and his partners saying in his eyes road in the back of his head he was clearly overdosing all the way to the hospital and they released this and the news ran as facts like the local news. There's several examples of this being picked up and just run as fact because amidst this kind of you know climate of fear that i'm talking about a very real fear that should be real around this substance. It was the kind of thing where course. You're not question that you're gonna you're gonna run it you're going to be. Oh my god it can you can you can kill you just by touching it by looking at it you know. And so then we have some folks in the medical community coming out and saying well actually. This isn't true at all you cannot overdose simply by touching the substance. It's just not biologically possible is what the experts are saying. So let's let's go to the experts real quick before we do that. I just wanted to say this is really surprising to me. And i think i fell victim to some of the stories coming out about sentinel and officers coming into contact with it not this particular one but in the past other stories about an officer encountering fencing on getting it on them and then needing narcan just in case and i think even talked about it before is that i think we did two mile. And here's the thing. They never released any toxicology that the young man didn't die. The dude didn't die but they never actually confirmed that it was an overdose with the hospital. And the sheriff of the san diego police department admitted that he himself not a doctor is the one who put this out to the public that it was an overdose and again this video really is what you would call a public service announcement type video. Almost like a yeah. It's meant to educate but unfortunately it's just laced no pun intended with with misinformation and these experts. They were talking about One of which is someone named gretchen. Bergman is the executive director and co founder of a new path. A new path is meant to slow. Reduce the stigma associated with drug abuse in disorders to treat it more like a psychological condition that needs to be treated therapeutically rather than having people locked up and she said it just didn't feel right it didn't sound right. He had gloves on but even if he had gotten on his skin he would have had to take his hand to his mouth. Or nose. it doesn't seep into your pores and this is backed up by numerous other Medical professionals in various sources that we read that. I read for this. And you know it's just interesting because the idea of stigmatizing drug users is something that's always kinda gone hand in hand with like the quote unquote war on drugs and you know the idea of mandatory minimums and treating drug users as criminals rather than people that are in need of counseling or mental health issues right or are suffering from mental health issues. And that's something that biden as part of his campaign was very much about you. Know he's got a son that famously.

Jamie Spears Will Step Down, but He's Taking Everyone Down With Him

"In a nutshell, what this Jamie spears Britney Spears case, Jamie, as you know, agreed to step down recently. He says he will resign as conservative Britney's estate, but only after a negotiation. He says he'll work with the court and Britney's attorney to prepare for an orderly transmission to a new conservative. My source tells me he's only agreeing to do this because he's been the unremitting target of unjustified attacks. That's what his lawyer, Vivian Thorne said. So we know this is a lie. In the past week, there has been a monument. I should say last week. Last week, there was a monumental shift on Jamie saw it. As soon as the words embezzlement and financial audit were mentioned, Jamie knew he had to step down. But he's not going to go quietly. 95% of this 12 page response written by his attorney, Vivian thorin, a very mean woman. Is a vicious rant. Filled with lies, accusations, and veiled threats. She went absolutely bananas in court, my source on the scene told me, because she doesn't like to lose. Vivian has been the key conservatorship since day one. And the planning as well. She plays dirty. And this response she made is his nasty as it comes. She and Jamie have a lot to lose and you can sense their fear and rage. The language she used is so inflammatory, well, the next hearing is going to be explosive. Vivian takes shots at a lot of parties to this conservatorship, and it's ugly. And because she knows that her client is in big trouble.

A superb mystery and thriller with a new level of action or or providing insights into addiction embezzlement greed and policing susan. Welcome sir thank you. Thank you for having me -gratulations on the book you know we. I met a thank you parker books about five years ago. I was there to plug my first book. I think you were there with your husband. I think it might have been your second or your third book at the time. And i bought your thank. You was good gone. Bad is the one that listen. I fuck i work you and your now to have many seven and seven. I'm working on my eight. Okay what do you do put out every year. Usually the last book rock bottom bottom took me eighteen months front to me. Sixty five is sixty. Five thousand words ahead to put some coherent order. Took longer gasa said. You made the mistake in your first novel. Good gone bad of killing off your best character about. His name was streaker and he was the former cop who went to the dockside. And that's where the title came. Good going bad and everybody log. This particular character and i hated that i killed him off because i wanted to write him again so i just invented. His brother and his brother is a cult. Jessop who is Pardon my new series. That i started. And he has some of the similar traits since his brother and likes to go rogue and doesn't always follow by the rules so he was a lot of fun to write so. I'm having a good time with colds and reported to him being in in future novels but he the paranormal route and brought. You know your first character back in the second books on how through some supernatural maine's or suffering. I could've done that. But i chose not not. You know what you're right. You're right the The suspense thrillers with the with the touch around. That now a little bit about uses. And you're the author of rock bottom and six other romantic suspense novels first of all. What is a romantic suspense novel. It's fast pace page turner. it's a really not quite as intense as a thriller as very similar to a mystery. And what i've ride is Not a cozy mystery. But it's more like a hard full detective story and That's a good way for me to reach a bit wider market because women like my books a lot for the romance for the guys like the rough characters and some of the hard bowl techniques that are using stories. You said that you are a woman trapped in the body of a sweet southern bell at that you release your inner wild child creating gritty stories where the sparks fly Talk about talk about the pretty much sends me up. I didn't realize that to my daughter. said that that she said mom. Everybody thinks you're so sweet and ns than than such as polite southern lady she said but. I think that you're a tall blonde and a leather jacket on motorcycle and And i laugh at that but this kind of like what i like to raid is kind of gritty stuff. I like the gritty movies. My favorite movies shawshank redemption. I don't watch the a nine into the Ryan combs a lot of women are so i like kings kinda gritties. So that's what i like to read. And so that's what i write.

U.S. Senators Seek Sanctions Against Honduran President

"Year, thousands of people from Honduras come north to the U. S Mexico border and then into this country because of poverty and violence at home. The Bible administration says it wants to get to the root of the problem so Hondurans can build better lives there. But it turns out the root of the problem may lie inside the hunter and government. Now Democratic senators want to put sanctions on Hunter and president one Orlando or non Dez for alleged human rights abuses in corruption. Reporter James Fredrick is in Mexico City, and he's been following this story. Hey, James. Hey, how you doing? Good. What would these propose sanctions do? So this bill was introduced by Senator Jeff Merkley of organ and other you know, kind of progressive leaning Democrats, and it basically starts by saying President Juan Orlando Hernandez is under investigation by the U. S. For allegedly accepting bribes from an aging drug traffickers. So that's where it starts. And then it lays out this whole list of crimes that Hernandez and his party has been responsible for since the 2009 coup in Honduras. Corruption, embezzlement and then violence against its own population. Protesters, journalists activists, freedom of speech has been really clamped down there. Most importantly, the bill says the U. S. Has been complicity in this because we have been an ally of this government of for a long time, and it says that if we want to address these root causes Of migration from Honduras. We have to do this so these sanctions would freeze Hernandez's U. S visa freeze his assets and it would ban the U. S from exporting things like firearms, tear gas and other things to the 100 government. What's going on inside of the country that is making so many people feel like they have no choice but to leave. There's just a general sense of fear and desperation. Fear comes from street gangs that extort and murder people. It will, but it also is fear of the police and the 100 military Hondurans don't feel like they have anywhere to turn for protection. And in desperation is poverty. Hernandez is accused of embezzling lots of aid money towards Honduras. And so that's money that didn't go to poor Hondurans. On top of that they were devastated by two hurricanes last year, so Things are so bad in Honduras right now. I spoke to Elmer Gomez, who is 100 and seeking asylum in the U. S right now about the news, and I asked him to explain a bit. What if none, This is decisions mean for hundreds every day. That is, the future of the album is more so. Gomez says that Hernandez on Lee makes decisions that will personally benefit him or the people around him. He never acts for the good of the people. And Gomez reiterated. They just have nowhere to turn for help. They constantly feel like they're either being chased by criminals or the government. The other thing that Gomez mentioned is that he didn't want to migrate, and that's what I've heard from lots of people. They don't want to leave home. They just feel like they don't have any other option. And so if the U. S was to put sanctions on, Hernandez, would that happen anytime soon? It's unlikely it's going to happen soon. I think the interesting thing to watch for is that the State Department could actually just decide a lot of these things without passing this bill. I spoke to some experts They think that's unlikely as much as anything because the U. S. And Honduran governments are so intertwined right now that just slapping these sanctions on very quickly. Is going to be hard to do. So there's a lot of unwinding of this U S hunter and relationship and really a need for the U. S government to confront the relationship it has had with President Hernandez for all these

Amnesty strips Alexei Navalny of 'prisoner of conscience' status

"There was a time when a figure like alexei navalny might have been able to count on if little else the full-throated support of amnesty international. The russian opposition figurehead would appear to meet. Every definition of a prisoner of conscience imprisoned on exceedingly dubious pretext spy unpleasant authoritarians and slash. With no record of ever having furthered he's caused through perpetrating inciting or suggesting violence however amnesty appear to differ on the basis of remarks made by navalny about immigrants a few years back. Amnesty has announced that whatever they will classify navalny as prisoner of conscience is not one. Join with more on this by mark kelly. Russia analyst and author of several books most recently a short history of russia. Mark festival to this maneuver by amnesty. Aren't they missing the point of prisoner of conscience a little bit that it's not necessary that you actually agree with them. Yeah absolutely and this is definitely something of an own-goal for amnesty. And especially so because it seems to bury much be have been triggered by a campaign or if not orchestrated by the kremlin but certainly sort of very much augmented by kremlin friendly. Voices in on social media does hurt navarre only at all it. Does i mean we go. To realize that the kremlin the moment is trying to portray him as anything but a immoral icon. I mean this wine set of charging him with treason or anything like that. They've gone for embezzlement. And basically he's dismissing a great patriotic war veteran and this is going to be an ready. It is being magnified by the russian state media as if it somehow amnesty deciding that novell abadan of course amnesty saying they still think that he should not be imprisoned so forth but that kind of nuance doesn't matter. So the kremlin is definitely gonna use this for it's worth which part of the russian electorate public does this stuff play with though i mean the charges against navalny especially that one. You alluded to of having insulted a veteran of the great patriotic. I mean that's absurd even if true that you would put somebody in the dark for that. The point is this is a long game. Let's be honest. Nevada is going to be in prison for at least two and a years. and what. the substandard kremlin tactic. They basically throw so much mud that even if each individual charge is when you look at it pretty ridiculous at some point just begins to sift into the subconscious of of many of the potential electric. Who aren't really people following the news in detail. They not committed inobound nights. They just went on the they. Just get unsensitive. Oh yeah you know what there will lose court. Cases wasn't their rulers allegations. The hope is that it'll stick again. It's not a sophisticated tactic but they hope is that skin. They have so much control over the media and probably a couple of years to do it. They can black and his reputation before he ever sees the light of day. We have talked before about the strategic sense of this from your vladimir putin on the russian regimes point of view as like why you would turn valley into the center of a circus rather than just ignore him. They hoping though that if he is sent to the salt pile fluently for at least two and a half years that he will just be forgotten about. Definitely the idea. I mean again. They hope is that this way he just simply becomes someone who again used to be someone now. Of course. The difficulty is the moment they have him in a top security prison within a prison. In due course he's going to have to go out and presumed me to just an ordinary prison or in this case a penal colony which is how the russians classify that their prisons and at that point. You know there is the chance that he will have access to whether it's sort of illegal cell phones that he can send out the message and so forth so the there is going to be this constant narrative struggle navanly's people want to keep his memory alive. They want to make into a current thing. The kremlin indu course will want to make him into just some past figure who gets forgotten the you. You have responded to the persecution of nevada by imposing some sanctions which do more symbolic than anything else navalny's supporters unsurprisingly asking the eu to expand those sanctions but is there anything the eu can realistically do in the sanctions department which is going to Compel russia to adjust their behavior. Navales concern because russia can't back down now right valley's going to the penal colony for at least two and a half years yes. There's no real question about that but look sanctions are more than anything else about political symbolism and when you just assigned to go for four fairly obvious candidates who basically have no property in the eu. And unlike we're unlikely to becoming to holiday in the south of france the symbolism the message you're giving is basically we have done the least possible we really don't want to get involved in this if the e you had come up with with a much more robust package of measures. Of course it wouldn't have meant. The putin would suddenly have quake in his boots. Before ios it burrell and reversed his policy but it would have said look. We do take this seriously. We will consist on adding costs to your actions. The trouble is at the moment that actually what they basically said is quite the opposite. The russia obviously does hope that we've out navan the as its figurehead than the protest movement that he leads will just sort of dwindle. Evaporate and disappear. Is that light clear. The discussions about how the rage could be maintained. I mean i'm thinking back to those color revolutions in eastern europe in the early part of this century in one of the reasons or one of the ways they succeeded as that they were substantially lead a loose so the authorities seeking to suppress the movements. Didn't really know who they should cart off. Yeah absolutely and this is one of the problems. I mean they pass. The opposition has had the great virtue of his finger navalny as figurehead because he's very charismatic and effective but now they novelli shaped hole and really echo three ways. They could indeed dwindle all it could. Well be that we will find new leaders. Arising i mean it might be as in belarus that actually you'll find for example navales wife emerging as a new figure all others who can basically fill that role. The third possibility is though if this movement which is essentially very much it's nonviolent. It's political if this fails then there is also the risk that actually people become more radicalized. They feel that we. We tried everything we could within the system. We're going to have to try and go without the system. And i think this is the moment we actually have. No idea. notice the kremlin which way it'll go

Aleksei Navalny, Russian Opposition Leader, Appears in Court

"In the Russian capital. Moscow has ordered the opposition activist Aleksei Navalny, to serve more than 2.5 years of a jail term for embezzlement. Mr. Navalny had earlier launched a blistering attack on President Putin. As our correspondent at the court, Sarah Rainsford reports he's being detained, repeatedly prosecuted several times at last year, Aleksei Navalny was poisons. Now the Russian opposition leader is going to jail. He greeted the news in court with a resigned shrug. That's not what I said earlier from a glass cage Alexander family had condemned this latest move against him as a show trial meant to scare millions of Russians, he said to crush dissent. He spoke like a man with nothing left to fear. After shooting death by poisoning. Last year, Mr Navalny mocked Russia's president, and claimed he'd given the order to have his rival killed. People will buy. Vladimir Putin wants to be known as a great world leader, Aleksei Navalny said. So he's upset that he'll now go down in history. As Vladimir the poisoner of the underpants, Mr Navalny believes a nerve agent was smeared in his underwear by Russian security service agents. Mr Putin has said the FSB had nothing to do with it.

"Day player on 7 20. W Jen, We're talking to Bill Kurtis. About the new season of American greed on C N B. C. This Syriza's is so captivating, you know, investigative journalism. Obviously, Bill has always been in your blood. Well, we waited more than about 150 shows called investigating reports on a we coined the phrase cold case files 127 of those My hosted American justice that jump powers did so I got a few under my belt. This is as interesting as any of them and you know, it's it's crime without a killing. Which one would think is not? They're interesting, but listen to this story. Ah, couple, Caitlin McClure was driving gets off the highway in Philadelphia and drives into a bad part of town. There's homeless man. They're just when Caitlin and her husband run out of gas, and they're afraid they get out and the homeless man moves him, $20. Well, first of all, that's a good angle, but they said, You know, we like that we're going to take pictures of the homeless man and put it up on Crowdfunding. The younger go fund me type. On crowd sources. Well, they thought they'd get maybe $10,000. Well, there's luck goes, they got $400,000 that came in the problem. Wasps. They didn't give very much to the homeless man. They were flying the helicopters over the Grand Canyon, buying a believe Aton bought a new BMW and had quite a time so we call that fraud and it made American greed. They finally ran him down when the homeless man smart enough to file a lawsuit. But it's that kind of thing. And usually we go back after the big guys to the first CEO of Big Pharma, Um guy who invented been Village a new drug for terminal cancer patients, frankly, because it was really powerful, made with sense of L. Said. Hey, yeah, that's kind of a small market. If I couldn't make money on that, then when we expand it and, you know, make it a broader market. And Lo and behold, you know, he starts racking up a billion dollars in his corporation. Well, along the way, um, taking really powerful Phantom Bell and put it into a mildly Depressive and other another serious He starts losing people, and they kind of run him down. And Dr Kapoor, you know, had to pay and also go to jail. So there is a payoff for these. Um, but we have six shows they start Monday. At nine o'clock. It's actually our third in this series. And then six more coming down the line to add to our 200. Well, I mean, psychologically, and I know you. You obviously studied this, You know, putting these shows together. I mean, these These individuals just have such an ego and confidence in what they're doing. They just keep moving and and thinking they're never Ever going to be exposed and never going to get caught and nine times out of 10. They're going to jail. Them. Money does funny things to people. And if you put a pile of money or the promise of it, Azizi money in front of somebody I got to tell you. I've had a 10. People will take the opportunity. Maybe that you say I'll always pay it back. That's what embezzlement is always about. But it's very difficult to catch up like that. The banks you have to pay back, but when nobody was looking, here's a lesson for the managers. If you're not supervising, if you're not watching You know monthly. The bank statements come in. You did? Yeah. You're out of business. Absolutely. Out of all these shows you're mentioning you did you've done almost 200 of these already? What was the story bill? That surprised you the most that you just put your hands on top your head and just shook and said, I just cannot believe it got to that point. You you, You know, I don't believe it. Can people are so crazy? Um, you know, early in the game, it was the tech guys. And then they might do well coming up with website door and suddenly it blows up and they're millionaires, probably approaching billionaires, and I just love them all live instead of choosing one. And they go crazy. It's women. It's private jets. It's vacations houses on the Caribbean living better than kings. Ever dreamed of it. Do they think that nobody is watching. Then they start cutting corners and not pay taxes, and there's always somebody out there who's jealous. Right and wants to get even. And they stub their toe. You know, you just can't be perfect all the way. No. And I also think you know is in the back of some of these the minds of some of these people that They may be No. In the back of their mind. This isn't gonna last forever, and I might get caught. So I'm going to enjoy this is Muchas. I mean, is there something I mean, Obviously, when you're doing something like this, you know there's some psychological damage involved in here as well. Yeah. You would like to think that now, Here's the surprise. A lot of them are normal. It's the poison that comes with living large and having too much and come having it come too easy, and it's the normal ones that will get to you. Yeah, there are those that want to, for instance, Um Ceccarelli. You know, multiplies a good drug that everybody is using. You know, by 100 times so he couldn't get more money. All these all these cases, they do have something wrong in their head. But not many. Yeah. Wow. Well, well again. American greed Mondays on CNBC. "This is the Gemayel report. The fight continues. All right, we will share with you. The full audio of President Trump's statement. Just a minute. Just got a little Glimpse of that from cliffs report. I do want to give Daniel a chance because people on the left are saying Oh, no, no, no. You can't compare what happened at the capital to be allowed to totally different situations. So Annual Give us your case. Hey, Carl. What's up? I was there any ambivalence in the result in the results of the election for you? Any ambivalence? Yeah, I don't think that mail in ballots are great way to do the election. I think it's opened all sorts of fraud on. I don't think that we followed the laws, so I have concerns about that. But that's a separate issue, then. Writing and press, passing and destruction of government process property and interfering with government proceedings fairly because if you're saying that there is room for all sorts of fraud than they would in fact be affect, too, right? Uh, okay. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not sure what your point is, as it relates to the election fraud, even if if it's racism that be if BLM was down there, saying, we want to protest racism, and we're gonna take over the capital to prove our point, or if it's Trump supporters saying We don't think the election was done property we're gonna take over capital to prove our point. It doesn't matter what your causes. If you breach the capital, you disrupt the proceedings that is not who we are. It needs to be condemned, stated that there's embezzlement that there is room for fraud that so if those people were standing up for your country, and you your stuff stated that there is room for fraud. And then in the same breath you're going to condemn them for standing up for, you know, there's a right way and a wrong way to stand up. That's like someone saying, I've decided I think the election was improperly done. I'm gonna shoot Joe Biden. Nobody. Nobody. No. Let me finish. Let me finish. Dude, let me finish. You can't sit there and say, because they've got a righteous cause or a a arguable cause that it somehow justifies illegal behavior. No or violence? No or burning down buildings now the same way I applied the standard to Beale M and Antifa. I don't care if you love socialism or hated. I don't care if you think the world is racist or not burning down a building, throwing a rock at a police officer, you know, becoming thugs in the middle of the street, smashing windows, stopping a lawful process or proceeding that is never acceptable, and it needs to be condemned whether it's coming from the left or the right. So tell me because you told our sculpt cultivator that somehow you think that BLM is somehow not as bad as what happened yesterday. The capital state your case or hang up. It's a slavery. It may be very right. Uh, condition of today. Would you die to stamp it? I would fight slavery, of course with the death. Yeah, for every fiber and energy. My being okay. We'll give you a believer. Lucien is believed that but these people, Okay, That's it. I'm done with the hypotheticals. You obviously can't even argue a point. If you're sitting here saying, let's do hypotheticals. Do you believe in Jesus Christ or not? What does it have to do with storming the Capitol? You believe in slavery or not? No. But what does that have to do with storming the Capitol? Do you think that there was election fraud or not? Hmm? I suspect that we need to have a full audit of the election. I think things were not done properly. But what does that have to do is storming the Capitol. The answer Absolutely nothing. I don't care what your causes. Taking matters into your own hand is never a proper justification now, to the point that the media is making That storming the Capitol. It pales in comparison. Uh, to our reveal him is is not on the same level of storming the Capitol. We see right now. Five people have died, and that's five people. Too many. Five people have died. Five people too many. I don't know how much damage was done to the capital. But I'm gonna estimate it probably in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, maybe in the millions. Black lives matters. Killed 36 people. 36 people injured 1000 police officers. Injured an unknown Uh, tally of by standards, But we know at least 1000 police officers injured it killed 36 people. $8 billion in property damage. $8 billion I'm not going to say That black lives matter somehow is equated to the number of people that you you kill or property that you damage the law. Being broken is a lot being broken. They're both wrong. They both need to be condemned. But let's point out what we've just lived through for seven months has been held. And we've had almost no. One in the left wing of of our political spectrum, and nobody in the media, raising the sorts of issues that should be raised with black lives matter. And if I'm not doing what about isn't here? No, there's no What about isn't here? It's both sides have been wrong. We've been consistent. We've been condemning blood BLM and right from the get go. We condemn the behavior of the capital. What I'm asking for is where the damn principles Where's the equitable application of the principles? From both sides.
