NYC transit agency pulls the brake on Twitter service alerts
"The MTA puts the brakes on Twitter service alerts for subways and buses in New York City. The decision put the country's largest transportation network among a growing number of accounts from NPR to Elton John, who have reduced their Twitter presence or left the platform since its takeover by Elon Musk. The MTA says the move comes after Twitter suspended the account without warning for a second time after the agency sent an alert to its 1 million followers. For its part, Twitter has signaled that the days of private accounts disseminating troves of information at no cost may be ending. The MTA estimates the cost could be 50,000 a month. Chicago transit authority says it's considering ending alerts as well. Julie Walker, New York.

Prince Harry returns to court in tabloid phone hacking case
"Prince Harry has returned to a London court for a second day of hearings to see if the phone hacking lawsuit. He's brought with Elton John and other celebrities can withstand a challenge from the publisher of the daily mail. The case is one of several brought by the Duke of Sussex in his battle with the press and alleges the publisher hired private investigators to illegally bug homes and cars and record phone conversations. Associated newspapers denies the allegations and is seeking to throw out the case arguing that the claims are too old and rely on information they'd turned over in confidentiality from an earlier probe, the lawsuits alleges the company, which publishes the daily mail and the mail on Sunday, commissioned breaking and entry into private property, and engaged in other unlawful acts that invaded the privacy of the famous plaintiffs, which besides the prince, include actresses in his early and Sadie frost and John's husband, David Furnish, Charles De Ledesma, London

"To do something we didn't do before. And we're so thankful that this tradition has gone on long enough that we've got to knock off a lot of our favorite artists off that bucket list, so to speak. So we finally made our way around to Elton John, who is relevant again this year. The guy is in his 70s and winding down his performing career, but still managing to crank out Billboard Top 40 tunes with 20 year old counterparts. So we're fortunate to hit while the iron was hot. So we took some of his classic stuff. And Hanukkah is it. And that's what you'll see when you tune in this year. So my daughter loves the Dua Lipa duet with Elton John singing tiny dancer. And I'm a huge Elton John fan myself. Would you believe I saw him on stage in Vegas at my bachelorette party? So I am a huge, huge fan. So tell me, what is the background of you and your troop mates? Are you singers, musicians, musical improvisers, what kind of training do you bring to this? I think the shorter description would be what aren't we? We are really ragtag bunch of people from all different walks of life. Not just professionally, where some of us have 9 to 5s in an office and live a secret life as Jewish acapella singers, others of us are teachers and others of us are full-time musicians working the freelance circuit in 6 13 is just one cog in that wheel. But also jewishly in that we have people who are orthodox going from the from a variety to the more modern variety, conservative reform, unaffiliated traditional. You know, it's always been like that. Even when people have left the new people have joined, we've always just had a very healthy mix. And as they say, it looks like Judaism in America. And somehow we have an all killed each other yet. And we're very thankful for that too. I would say, though, I would presume that there is one common thread that you all share. And that is Jewish pride. Even if the level of observance is varied, would that be the case? I mean, could you be a part of this group and not have a little bit of Jewish pride? Yeah, absolutely. I mean, there are plenty of performance venues for you as a human being. You can join another a cappella group or band or start your own or whatever the case may be. There are thousands of a cappella groups in the United States alone and post collegiate is a smaller number, but still plenty. So if you didn't have an ischemic connection, if that's I'm going to make a new word to being Jewish and to growing up Jewish and to the traditions and to the observances or whatever that means for you, you wouldn't be doing this. You have to really like Judaism because every song we do is about Judaism and even the songs that aren't about Judy. And we make them about Judaism. So everybody there has got that spark inside of them. And you're absolutely right. That is the common thread. So you mentioned kids, and I mentioned my kids. They love watching these videos every year. It really gets us into the spirit. And in a very cool contemporary way. And it also teaches them a thing or two about Hanukkah. And so I'm curious how many of 6 13s members have children of their own and how this side hobby of celebrating has worked its way into family life. I've got three, only two of them are really old enough to understand what's going on or actually even talk. But Craig's got two of the cutest little ones you've ever seen. And for me, it makes me awesome dad of the year because as far as they're concerned, I am famous. And you know, they go to a Jewish day school, they attend the heschel school in Manhattan. And when it comes around the final time, especially, is it's coming up on the break and kids start to get restless. There are a lot of Hanukkah videos being shown in the classroom, not just at heschel, but of course, at other schools too. They used to have to say, hey, that's my dad, actually. And now there are a few years and they go like, hey everybody, look, it's max and ruby's dad. That's where it really gives back to us. Because other than getting to go on the road and getting paid to do what we love, there's also something that really means a lot to us, which is like what you just said, which is actually getting to do a little bit of education. This started out as a marketing vehicle where it was like, hey, you know, this is the new paradigm. You put a video up, you hope it goes viral. That's how you get your name out there. And then people call you up and they want to book you. But what we started getting was emails that would say, hey, you're making it just that much cooler to be Jewish and it's fun and we can tell that you guys are having fun and it makes us feel more comfortable and then the occasional email where it's like, hey, I'm in the middle of Nebraska and I'm one of 5 Jewish kids in my whole town and I always feel out of place, but now like this thing is going on and it just made me feel so much happier and more comfortable and I brought me closer to the traditions and or I'm a Hebrew school teacher and I used your video because it taught them things and the kids actually pay attention. So seeing stuff like that happen and feeling that we are actually contributing to the picture of what it's like to be a Jew in America. That's amazing. It feels amazing. And it makes us really fulfilled. And do you do bar mitzvahs and synagogue services? Where else can people see you live? More than we can count. You know, we've kind of got this double existence where a number of times a year, 30, 40 times a year. We're getting called out to some synagogues, says, hey, we would like you guys to come perform on Hanukkah as a treat for our community, or we would like to come and have you perform on a random Sunday in October because we want to raise money for the synagogue. And we get up there and we get on stage and we act like rockstars for an hour. And then there is a totally different existence where we're coming to someone simra, often on Shabbat because what better way to stay in line with the prohibitions of instruments and such than hiring. And I felt like, you know, we are singing with Barr and bat mitzvah boys and girls doing services, either backing them up or with them, or kind of as an addition. We're singing at luncheons and kiddies and things like that. You know, we've got the private sector and the public sector. And between those, you know, we're keeping really busy. Thank God. Well, happy Hanukkah to you. I hope you have a wonderful festival of lights with your family and can't wait to hear the rest of Elton John. Thanks, and the same to you and to all your listeners. But we can never know what it's like only having all your life for just one night just a tiny light and shine so true, but then a miracle occurred at first for 8 nights through don't you know that we're still standing each and every year 'cause the Jews are true survivors yeah we beat the cell you said yeah but I don't catch burning after all these nights like you'd end up being too would it give up on the fight we're still standing yeah yeah yeah we're still standing

"William Shatner's version of rock a man? Who hasn't? And who wants to again? I think you need to see it once. To see it at least once. Beyond the preposterous and the bizarre. All right, what's your number four? Number four is from captain fantastic and a brand cowboy writing. Writing. Really? I've always liked that song. It's hard driven. Wow. Johnson, but it's clean guitar. It's a very almost kind of jazz jazzy guitar. It seems to me about their partnership Bernie Taupin and Elton unless you're using a metaphor for another relationship. Well, we still be writing and approaching years, but it's very much a great guitar. So I don't know if that's the, that was the original core band that he worked with up until that point. Great band, by the way. The Elton John band. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's a very clean guitar. It's a very melodic song. Not reggae like, but it's almost island dean in a kind of way, but that's an audible song for him, but I always liked it. Island, the unlike island girl. Yes, very much unlike, yeah. That's when he lost me then rocket the westies. I got it for Chris and I'm like, oh, man, okay. In Santa bring this one back. But I like the outside the box call. I like that. Outside the box, right? And not one of the common not one of his better known songs, right? No, and my others are pretty well known. I never had every album, but you know, they're great songs, but that was just one noise stuck out. All right. Stuck in my head. My number four is sorry seems to be the hottest word. Interesting. Just love that song, man. It's just a heavy song. That's going more to wait. Later 70s, maybe? Yeah. That is off of. The sandwich by the blue moves. Okay. 76. 76, yeah. Yeah. I don't know if that's a top and John competition, 'cause I think at one point, I think going into the 80s, he did other things with Tim Rice and other writers, but they got back again. It's Bernie Taupin. Yeah, yeah. What a writer. Yeah, you know, they had a unique way of doing things. He would write the lyrics. No, he would he would write the lyrics and send them to John Elton John would put the lyrics to music. Yeah. Which is kind of backwards. Isn't it usually the music and then you kind of add the lyrics to beat and so how difficult would that be to put these lyrics to music? If you use that to set the tone in the rhyming rhythm structure, they're using you have a piece of music. Fit the words according to me, but interesting. This guy is that I've seen that like Bono. He'll hear say it's a beautiful day. And they just kind of mumble and then they throw out these little one lines and then they kind of piece it together. It's a beautiful day. You're writing to the music, make it fit to the music. So how fucking brilliant was Elton John to be able to take lyrics and then write the music around the world. that's the inspiration. Probably the theme of the language and stuff. I mean, there's a lot of great language here. You read some of these lyrics aside. They read great, you know? You know, I love rock and roll by Joan Jeff, you know, read it by itself, you know, you need the music to it. It'll just be rather simple. Simple things, you know, but like those were everybody's like, probably in a prose or a poetry. And I think that probably explains why Elton John, if you think about it, Elton John has, in some of his songs, some of the fucking hottest lyrics to understand what he's saying. Perfect example, Saturday night's all right for fighting. Right? Yeah. Try to follow those lyrics. He spits him out so fast in certain points. Right, right. Then you just have to look at the lyric sheet. A rocket man. I never fucking got the burning on the fuels. Right? Others said vagabond or something. No, no, it's not. I'm like for a lot of lyrics sometimes. It sounds more like a sound than the actual burning up the fumes forever long or something like that. But if you listen to his lyrics on those songs, maybe the earliest songs, some of them like, what the fuck did he just say? But it sounds great. Yeah. Sounds great. It fits, but Saturday night's all right for fighting is one of those songs. Go listen to it again and just try to, if you haven't already, 45 years later. Yeah, right? I still some of them, I can't figure them out until I go and read them, and then I'm like, I know my old man's a junkie and a barrel full of monkeys and my old lady she don't care. I know that part. Yeah, it's just a little execute with a handful of grease in her hair. That took me a long time to figure that one out. That's like, what is it, Pink Floyd, dirty girl? I need a dirty woman. I need a daddy. I can figure out what the fuck he was saying there for the longest time. I need to get her. Another well-known is a mellencamp's Jack and Diane. Here now the hair to Diane won't run out of shady tree. I was like, I don't know what he's saying there. I don't think I want to know this one. Tom Petty. I actually, the greatest of all, I guess, is Manfred Mann. Blinded by the light. I guess that is the epitome of misquoting words wrapped up like a douche. Fucking hate that version. I hate it. They stopped me or my high school that came out like, what the fuck? I mean, did he say douche just to say, you know? Just to say douche. You know, come on. You can be vulgar, just be creative about it, you know? Yeah, yeah. All right, what's your number? What made him, what made that the earth band as opposed to the Manfred man band? What made it earthy? Ecological themes? I don't know. If I were just gradable biodegradable douches, even before then, yeah, before it's time he was ahead of his time. That meant for men was ahead of his time. Number three. Number three, yeah. Country comfort from tumbleweed connection. Wow. I love that song. Really going deep. Deep cuts. Influenced by the band a lot. I mean, the song levon was inspired by levon helm's name alone. That early 70s tumbleweed connection. I don't wanna hear that. Right. I was almost like, it's almost like an American sound. Great arrangement on that too. I'm going straight up well-known song with number three number two will also remember one might be no, it's a known song. So with no deep cuts for me. Number three is goodbye yellow brick road. It's just a hard song not to like. Yeah. Yeah. It's not a song that I turn off when I hear it on the radio. All these years later. If you look at his albums, you'll see,

So I listened to Billy Joel a fair amount. I've started listening to Elton John and my favorite Elton John song is I guess that's why they call it the blues. Are you familiar with that one? No. Oh my gosh, I should play it for you. I love it. Wait, what is this? Beautiful. Oh, it's Elton John. This is boom. This is benign. This benign. Yeah, this is not a representation of what people listen to. Watch number two. Well, I can't make any of the lyrics. Right. Well, exactly. No. No. Well, anyway. Harry Styles than evanescence. Why You Have to Watch Apple TV's "Blackbird"
"I didn't want to buckle and subscribe to Apple TV. I'm sick of paying $10, 8 $7, $12 for all these different streaming services. I said, the hell with Apple, I'm not doing it, but I did because I wanted to see two shows I really heard a lot about. One is a series called blackbird. With taron edgerton Ray Liotta in his last role, in which he so great in, but I have to say he looked very ill in this series. And Paul Walter Hauser, this kid, this guy Hauser, doesn't get enough credit as an actor. He plays a serial killer in a way I've yet to see be done. I mean, the choices he makes are incredible. You might have seen him play the security guard Richard Jewell, the instant hero after foiling the bomb attack on the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. He was amazing in that. But on this series, he's, I mean, this guy is otherworldly. He's one of those actors. He's very heavy. He can only play certain roles, but Jesus Christ, he's he's so good. Doesn't get enough credit. Plays a serial killer in a way I've yet to see be done. The choices he makes are incredible. This is a guy who comes from a comedic background. But he steals every scene he's in with Taron Egerton. And that's not easy because edgerton, especially in this film, is really great as well. Don't base your opinion on him for how he portrayed Elton John in Rocketman. Dump. It's night and day. And to add to all of this, this series is based on a true story about a guy who gets a ten year prison sentence for selling cocaine, but then he's offered to have his sentence greatly reduced if he can become friends with this serial killer and make him admit to him all the girls he killed and where the bodies are buried. The feds took a shot, they tried something in a bag of tricks to see if this kid was a star football player in high school could go to prison and befriend this serial killer and have him open up to him. It's great. Great. I love outside the box thinking like that. Many people thought it was a crazy idea. It was wrong, you can't do this. Fantastic.

So it's a weird situation where he will have to answer some questions, but he won't be, I believe he won't be charged in her death for 5 years. There will be a civil lawsuit maybe here and that will be against him as the executive producer because the boss, you're in charge of a safe environment, it ultimately comes down to you and that's what the executive producer means. We talk about that term a lot on the show. We should be clear. It means the boss. So think of the boss of your company. That's the executive producer in movie terms or TV terms which brings us to our poll question of the day. Ali called when his income solo after the shooting on the set should Alex, be charged. Oh, go vote on our Twitter page. Naughty nice rather, Facebook page is new to yourself, but be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results. Garrett, what are you working on there? So before we talk about Ed Sheeran and Elton John getting into what you would think a friendly feud. I want to ask one more question about the Alec Baldwin. So he is the executive producer of the movie. Do you think they continue on with the movie? I think the movie is gone and sources are telling me they would not be surprised if Alec does not set foot on a set ever again. His that shook at the moment, the thought of him going back to work ever is probably not going to happen. Now time changes things you do here. Of course, but I just other type at the moment that that movie is gone and I would be surprised if we see him make a movie for a very, very long time. All right, so back to other stories. So Elton John called out his friend Ed Sheeran and said he has a big effing FF big mouth. I had a phrase it properly because I didn't want to say the actual. I want to say the real word. So the two have a Christmas duet coming out, right? And I don't know if Elton John's gonna get pissed at me for saying this, but we'll find out. I wouldn't mind if he called me that. He was sworn to secrecy and then the big mouth here and goes to the Netherlands and says, hey, we have a Christmas morning coming out. We haven't finished it yet. We still have work to get done. There's no release date. We know it's a Christmas song. So it literally could come out. We are in that season where, right before Halloween, that's where the floodgates of Christmas music opens up Mariah Carey sits back and says, try to compete with me. But on top of that too, as of yesterday, Ed Sheeran posted on Instagram that he has to pull back from doing a lot of promotion and from finishing this song with Elton John because he tested positive for COVID. Now, edge here and has been doing a lot, a lot, a lot of traveling over the last month and a half. And interesting things that will come out from this. He has SNL in two weeks. He was just announced as the musical guest, the day before he made that announcement..

AJ Benza Recalls His Encounter at the Amityville Horror House
"I recall that night, the me and my buddies were parked outside that house. And we sat there, 5 years to the night and time of the murders and just quietly listened to the minimal amount of noise emanating from the neighborhood. Maybe there was the occasional whoosh of a car passing ocean having you at two 30 in the morning. Maybe the coups and chirps of some night birds, the blow birds, they called it because of the many nights I'd heard them while I was wide awake and way too high with no sleep in sight when I was in my 30s and had my relationship with cocaine. But this was different. Because I wasn't high, per se. I mean, we all felt a little good, but that was it. We were at the giggling stage, which at 17 years old was everything. I still remember some of the last we had that night, some 40 years later. So anyhow, we're sitting there. Some of us are doubters, some of us are believers, but we could all agree that what happened that night was unexplainable. As we sat and watched in quiet, suddenly, and without warning, Ronnie kinnear's Elton John's 8 track tape slammed into place and the song funeral for a friend began to play at a decibel. We were never used to playing any song at that level. Now the beginning of that song has a lot is a long instrumental for a good four minutes and change and it gets scary music to say the least don't listen to it. When it comes on full blast, we all jump and scream. And Ronnie, can we lift his hands to show that he had nothing to do with it? Of course he didn't. I sat right next to him. I saw the a tac a track gets sucked into that machine, an inch or so. Without the aid of anybody's hands. I don't know what that means or how the hell that happened, but I watched it with my own eyes. And that's not all that happened. Ronnie had no control of the HVAC player. He couldn't inject the cassette. He couldn't even lower the ear bending volume. I'm not saying the lyrics to that song had anything to do with death or being frightened, but I can tell you, after that song came on so loud, we banged a U turn across someone's lawn and ripped it up as we high talented back to west Iceland.

You predicted Florida going landslide for Trump before anybody else. You were on top of that thing. You really were. So first, just tell our audience about your background, and then I want to talk about your book, which I find to be super interesting. Sure. Well, I'm a native arizonian and I went to Arizona state university and got a degree in political science, which I found totally useless. And then I joined a rock band had been playing rock and roll all my time through college and high school. And we went on the road and opened for groups like steppenwolf and Savoy Brown and tried a couple of records that didn't go anywhere. It was interesting. Somebody brought up today the who, we played the troubadour, which is the place that broke Elton John and we had one set on a Monday night and the who came in just after we started our set and stayed through the whole set and when we got done, they walked off like slapped me on the back Pete Townsend slapped me on the back and goes way good show walk. "Seven top tens. That's tied for the ninth. Best total in the chart's history. He also has a whopping fifty seven top forty hits and he also remarkably had the distinction of having a top forty hit in a record thirty consecutive years from nineteen seventy through nineteen ninety nine. You know it's wild you hear like stats about somebody you know. Make getting a record in every decade but to have it in every year is just the sort of dominance that does not happen. It's it's wild. Absolutely and elton is just he's always there and he's always doing interesting new weird things. That are unexpected. Like who would have thought dance remix mash up of two older songs with do aletha in two thousand twenty one new. Okay sure but you know in every interview. He does he talk so much about staying in touch with new music You know he obviously has his apple music show that he hosted our rocket our and he i remember seeing him speak like years ago where he talked about. He had like an assistant. Who would print out like the weeks releases. Yeah have you heard that before. Yeah and there's i was reading. I was reading about how he used to go to tower records on sunset boulevard back when tower was opened. The building is still there and still says to our records but it's not tower records and they would use to open early just for him so he can go record shopping because he loved to get like all. The new album's incredible and so it just makes total sense that you know he because he's so like in touch with what new music is that he's also like extending hand to newer artists and introducing himself and telling them that he's a fan of them which has to just completely blow them away. I'm sure and do his case as well But i remember him talking about like his favorite artists. Being like young thug a couple years ago he is way more in touch than anybody. Yeah most people let alone a gentleman of a certain age. He was killing it. When was the first time that you became aware of elton john. I can say that i recall. I've i remember in the eighties music videos for i'm still standing and i guess that's why they call it the blues. That was before. I really knew about his big hits in the seventies so i learned about him from a later era and circled back to his earlier stuff as one does as i think how people have probably when they saw you know rocket man a few years ago. The movie and said oh. Wow let me go investigate. All these older songs has maybe they only knew of him. Because of the lion king or because do aletha named tim at one point who knows yeah i. My family listened to like exclusively on classic rock radio growing up. And so i knew like any of those songs like bennie and the jets would we played on classic rock. I knew a lot of the songs from the seventies. But then i was a kid. When the linking came out. So like i like. But then it was like oh the the rockstar from seventies doing the music and then like when princess diana died and and you know he made candle in the wind and all these sort of the i feel like he's just like you said he's always been there and he continues to be there every every moment we i mean he's still relevant getting a hot one hundred hit today is means they still relevant artist at this exact moment more than fifty years after your first hit a mom. One hundred amazing we love to see it so in in other news. Food segue here. New york city tried to put on this wheel of nyc. As part of a medley of his hits when all of a sudden announcement goes out to the crowd of dangerous weather and interrupted his performance and they ordered concert goers to meet leave the park and seek shelter buried did not hear the announcement though so he just kept on singing and at first and then somebody let him know. Hey man like they're clearing everybody out and as estimated sixty thousand person crowd began leaving the concert. There was a moment of optimism that the show might resume once the weather cleared but then a few minutes later another announce it was officially cancelled as the downpour intensified. So just a bummer. And people were watching it on. Cnn like didn't even know like. Is this happening not happening. People in the parker like do i have to go can i. Can i still see bruce springsteen. Maybe i don't know. And so fans hoping to specifically springsteen paul simon the killers performed they you know. Working Toward a More Inclusive Music Industry
"One of the big stories in the music industry right now has been the response to hip hop star two babies homophobic comments, which he made during a festival in Miami late last month. As NPR's Elizabeth Blair reports, the fallout was swift as multiple festivals canceled his shows. With his millions of followers on social media. The baby has a powerful platform. He's one BT awards and been nominated for Grammys. I'm one of the greatest ain't no debate. No, no, I'm still levitated medicated. Ironic I gave him love and they and the painting on me. That's the baby on a Dua Lipa song that's in the top 10 of the Billboard's hot 100 chart. The backlash was immediate. Dua Lipa distanced herself from the baby Lollapalooza removed him from the lineup. Then more festivals canceled two shows Elton John and Madonna railed against the misinformation in his comments about HIV. I think there's a new moment. There's definitely a new moment. The baby is a big star and Brown University professor Tricia Rose says The cost to his career is significant. At the same time, she says, the music industry has long tolerated and profited from artists like the baby. There's many, many artists who are promoted by the industry, who are celebrated by the industry because of their quote unquote edgy, extreme behavior. And you know that is a longstanding pattern that has not abated in any way And then you know when they step out of line about when and how they actually live into that identity. Then there's all this sort of, you know we're all about peace, love and

I was reading an article in Forbes recently titled How to Minimize Taxes like a Billionaire in 2021. Of course, they got my attention with that headline, But they say that Some of the tax strategies used by billionaires. People like the Walton family Bill Gates, Elon Musk, They say they're more attainable than many realize for high income and or high net worth. Americans and I know we keep hearing about these possible tax changes right now. But what techniques? Are you helping your clients implement to help them minimize what they'll maybe have to pay Uncle Sam in the future? Well, that's where we implement alternative investments into the plan. Okay, And that's what all of these people, that's what's in common with all of them. A lot of the alternative investments I know I've talked about. Right now we have opportunity zones. Actually, In my last summer, we talked about 10 31 exchanges. Those types of things are what can help you minimize tax. I mean, we can never eliminate tax. We can always minimize it. And so those types of investment vehicles which are now becoming readily more available to the everyday client. That's what helps. You know, A lot of people don't have exposure to that. You know someone who is a business owner. Maybe someone who owns a bunch of real estate you do at 10 31 Exchange. You defer those gains by another property. You get your income. Opportunity zones, which I I know I've talked about in the past. And these are opportunities answer for accredited investors. 10 30 ones. Some can be four credit or non accredited, but you know those investment strategies out there. There's even You know, you can do oil and gas where you get to write off on your taxes. You know, these are strategies that the wealthy of use that now you can use, you know, depending on what you have, but they're out there so Give us a call. We'll love to talk to you more about him. I know. Sometimes I tend to be vague when I'm online on radio, but unfortunately, I can't get specific because Everyone's situation is different. So that's why I tell people give us a call, so that then we can make a solution for you, and it'll fit you. But one plan doesn't fit everyone right and one investment is not right for everyone. So that's why we encourage Portfolio X ray and again, you can give us a call 562269 1007, But I do think it's important for our listeners to understand these strategies are not just for the uber wealthy out there. Actually, when we're talking about things like accredited investors. A lot of our listeners fall into that category. Greg What are the income limits things People need to know. They're like we said the the end. It's basically a net worth of a million dollars exclusive of your primary residence and an income of $200,000. And here in California. That's pretty standard. Yeah, exactly so Again. A lot of you fall into that category where you've kind of graduated that level of savings or income, where you deserve a different type of investing strategy. And again. If you'd like to learn more about these strategies that Greg mentions he can go into a lot more detail with you there at the office and Customize that portfolio strategy for you,.

And i think i remember daniel and it's a nice Remembrance song. Really it is. It didn't make my list because this was closest that i could think of to listening to that soft music at the dentist's office. It's nothing against her. Elton john in this song. it's just. It's the one that i equate to like you. You're listening to magic one. Zero six point seven and you hear drill and daniel at the same time in. You're like I have an adverse reaction to this but it's a great side. Nothing against him. Nothing at all again. I will i will say this does have the The same rhythm and the same kind of Pace as elevator song. So i can see this being played later to I maybe i just. I think i wanna clarify that. There's three more songs on my list. Also i could probably listen to while at the dentist office but as or the supermarket. Your your number. One is played at the supermarket all the fucking time. It doesn't seem to be like an outlier won't because it's that close all the songs that so i love all the sides. I have on my top ten list. For specific reasons. Some of them are emotional. Some of them are personal. Some of them are. What have you This shock exit out because The situation he's singing about. I can kind of understand that you know i. I had a close run in with death. But i wasn't about to marry someone before that happened so i so that's the one part that kind of i can't get behind but It's just not close. It's close but i love men who had a close close encounter with death married a woman in one point in his life. Yeah but on the other the other is to is that i actually liked the song up until the very end when they start doing so save someone saves someone say it just goes on forever and it. Just you know couple times. That's fine but after a while. I just get bored with it. So it's how. I kind of feel about benny and the jets as allowed on joined songs that and we should say most of these songs were renowned john music lyrics by bernie taupin. Who's there is a frequent collaborator. Bernie taupin who some songs. When elton john has been asked what what it's about something like take me to the pilot he said i have no idea. It's just random. Words put on a piece of paper that sound. Good to bernie so hooked town. John had said that he the lyrics are in. I in the music is written afterwards. And you can tell because a lot of these seem you know the the the the stances along and then he adds like a little bit in there. So when interesting. I just saw an interview with eric mccormack. Who's will from will and grace on morton show where he and his wife became friends with. Elton husband and They invited him over to the apartment and His husband for its. I'm you so they by david over to the department. And he said oh. Yeah we'll be there and afterwards eric like wait. He just said we. I think i think yeltsin dawn come into our house and they had a brand new piano. And so david elton come over. And eric's like you're going to have to christen it. Nelson's like fine. What would you like to hear. And eric being kinda like didn't want to be normal. He's like oh. I can't do rocket man or anything like that. That's too easy. So he picked like random songs from the yellow brick road album and elton. John just looks at him and goes fuck off. I don't remember that one. That's so funny just thought it was a cute story as like Even elton can't remember everything that he did. Well he's had multiple albums. There's a great just to gone to one more tangent as a great interview Billy joel has with stephen colbert and stephen. Colbert brings up the fact that billy joel only did twelve albums and that he stopped in one thousand nine hundred four and so he says undrawn says. You should make more albums and billy joel. Tortsen says that's interesting. I've told ellen he should make less was he's a funny buddy. Oh he's alcohol if he hasn't yet but he's funny he's a funny man is a fundamental. Okay so and i only have two honorable. Mentions this time. So i won't have a million of them. Second on will mention. And i'll explain why. This is an honorable mention. And why i said i this. This is You know y y. I have.

"Ladies and gentlemen. Mr christopher gentleman. Mr chris chris rose chris. How're you doing. Did you sticks to do your your your Opening there that was that's amazing you. You wish You get the orchestra with those bells and that would be good. That is actually from a musical code. Lizzy the musical i. I'm assuming it's the one who killed her family. With an axe Forty eh with forty whacks. By the way it's not the one who flips our hair back those all. no wait. That's lizardo lizardo lizardo orleans. Lizotte sometime or lizzie. mcguire It's into question but anyway. This is a chris back. Great to see you. i'm overtired. Hi everybody for having me back. of course. this is a crisis first. Time doing one of these note. It's your second doing a top ten list. What am i talking about. Christmas for Jim steinman What was the other one. Jim steinman we talked about the birdcage. You son of a bitch love songs. That's why can't feel the love tonight. Well that won't be on our list. But guess but chris already Given the hint on what. We're talking about tonight we're going to be talking about mr elton. John that's right. Mr reginald himself Welcome sir. Elton john These are going to be the top ten out. John songs Both my list and christmas list And we're gonna start pretty right and we'll go right into it. Awesome honorable mentions now. Christopher not really not forgetting how this show works did not get no no. I know exactly how those shows work. Got the top ten but you're not getting on mentions no how dare you i have to surprise you know find so i either that or just you know strip on zoom but only you would get that surprise. I mean we can do that too. I have no problem with that Anyway so mr chris. why don't you give me your honorable. Mentions for top for on john. Lewis so this. These are the songs that almost made the list. Not for reasons. So christopher i believe you specific told me to keep the disney stuff out of this one so i guess the my honorable mention this and of course being of the lion king. But it's not. Can you feel the love tonight. Because that's it's a good song. It's a really good song. It was way overplayed and you can hear it in in grocery stores. No i'm going with the one. That's that's the to- chappie assed Song of that movie. And of course. I'm referring to. I just can't wait to became extinct pick. That's a very interesting pick. You get rowan atkinson singing in. And then later on john oliver's so you know you gotta low gotta love that and it's it's my favorite and yeah it's it's my favorite of that film and i just didn't want to go with this. There's so many slow songs but that one that one was at the top of my list for for disney elton. John son's. I think you and i differ on the new live action lion king. I hate that thing. I will say i liked it. I just said that. John oliver turned to sing in the second lion king. I'm just saying no misconstrue. What i'm saying i'm saying you're you replace growing atkinson withdrawn oliver. There's no competition it's rowan atkinson. It's always been rowing atkinson if he mentions on his show quite frequently that he has worked with beyond say so yeah that was his claim to fame not the fact that he has a weekly show on. Hbo that is a emmy does. No it was the fact that in an entertainment weekly photo shoot john. Oliver is right next to beyond say what's the same thing that Gordon does with every celebrity. So you know you know you always need that one talk show host who's gonna suck the dick of every slope of that comes in. But i digress high. Refrain from saying star fucker. But you know if you're gonna go that route. I'm just saying i hate james corden to the degree i really do. You didn't see the prom audits today. I hate him in that. It was considering the fact considering the fact that he is straight as an arrow. And he's playing. I mean there are million. Gave gay people who could have played that role way better than he of I'm just saying elton john sir. Elton john you go ari firestone that played. That's one as law. Actually oh i get a call ryan murphy. I'll be right there speaking of scarf right anyway. all right. Do you have another honorable mention there. I have two more. How many do. I have to so go ahead. And one didn't make it on the list. Even though it's one of my favorites of his it is not technically his. It's belongs to the who That would be pinball wizard from their album. Tommy nineteen seventy five films. Starring and margaret and roger daltry because he thought he could act and jack nicholson because he thought he could sing And then used again in the nineteen nineties Broadway musical rock opera. The who's tommy. But he they cast him for the pinball wizard in the film and he did a great job. Well i mean comparatively based on If you watch that acid trip of movie i think in in order of cameos. I it was tina turner. And then elton john and then everybody else. Who's actually starring in that film. So yes so pinball. Wizard is my my second mention and then my third Because i wasn't sure if we were doing duets but of course the most famous duet is he. And kiki dee don't go breaking my heart and if vote for those of you who just think that kiki dee was that woman who sang with elton john in that song i implore you to please go and listen to her song. I've got the music in me. It is an absolute wonderful i. It's on my My workout playlist. It's just it's so upbeat. It's got that gospel feel and it was recently used in zoe's extraordinary playlist which is where i found it. I like i. She started singing. The song and i was like well. I definitely have to spotify. This found it. And it was kiki dee and yeah so. That's my tangent. Well no that's good tangent. I mean i'm going to go on a tangent right now and say First of all the first cameo in the. Who's tommy was eric clapton I meant i meant an order of their talent. Tina turner as the acid queen. Come on. I mean that was good casting. I think she's the only one besides own john that actually doesn't danger job with what she's given Alan was just. I and i believe this was before he got so so it it absolutely expands and makes i really short. Everyone in that production crew was doing some lsd so it is a visually stunning film. Except for the beings. Coming out of the television and margaret swimming in a really folks this this movie exists. I'm telling you i'm telling you. I saw that when i was thirteen because i saw on the tv guide lists the. Who's tommy. and i'm like oh my god. I love that album. I love that tape. I taped it. I watched back. And i was like. What am i watching. And i have. I hadn't even started experimenting with the who was a genus yet. So almost like it's like if stanley kubrick had lost all of his money and was begged to do this film for cocaine. I it's it's just an stanley kubrick had nothing to do with this film. I'm just saying the visual aspects of this film reminding something that kubrick asked directed or cocaine when we don't know had cocaine we don't know that all right so So good good choices around Funny enough my wife. Who is not a on. John fans never been around john fan Was asking about our list and one song is that is not on our either. Alice which is very surprising is bennie and the jets which she thought would have been on one of our list but i i honestly thought it'd be on yours..
