Then we'll get into a number of big stories over the past few weeks, including Yuga Labs producing a movie, Binance are in hot water again, the Friend Tech field day, and we can't miss out on more FTX shenanigans. So stay tuned. My name's Tracey, and I'm joined by my pals, Blake and Craig, as we catch up on the crypto news. Hey guys, how are you going? Very well, Trace. Back in the swing of things this week. How are you? Yeah, good. After a week off. Did you miss us, Craig? Yeah, sure. No. That convincing. was I got an extreme FOMO from the group chat photos that you were sending and the talks that you guys went to that looked like a lot of fun, and I wish I went, but maybe next year. Yeah, definitely. Definitely next year. Maybe we should just dive straight in then and talk all about the token 2049 conference, which is the largest annual digital asset events in Asia and Europe. And this year it was bringing together the leading voices and the most sensational projects in Web3. And we did. We had an awesome time. Singapore is amazing. It was my first trip to Singapore. And Blake, give us your initial impressions and what you loved about the event. Yeah, so this is probably the biggest crypto conference in Asia, really. And I think about 10 ,000 people came to the main event itself, but then there were also about 400 side events, more than you could pick, or even too many, too many, really. And really, I think it's an industry focused event. You know, there weren't that many retail investors coming along. Tickets were priced accordingly. And yeah, it was an incredible event. They brought the who's who of the crypto industry to speak, talk about where the other projects are at and what the future looks like, the state of regulation and where we are in the market cycle. And it was fascinating to be there learning and hearing about how everyone else in the industry is thinking. And there was certainly no indication of us being in a bear market. My God, no, it was money, wasn't it? It was out of control. You know, the big exchanges were, were splashing cash around. The Formula One was on at the same time. So lots of people added a bit of excitement, didn't it? Yeah, we're coming over for that. And yeah, we could probably, you know, maybe give us your high level thoughts, Trace, and then we can get into a couple of the interesting things that we learned. Yeah, look, I think it was a really vibrant atmosphere. There were some excellent speakers. I was impressed with the setup. And the event ran really smoothly trying to get 10 ,000 people in over two days. You know, you'd expect a few hiccups, but there wasn't. I thought it was pretty, it was pretty well done. You know, there was a real big emphasis on, on building. And like you said, you certainly didn't feel like you were in a bear market at all. There was just money being splashed everywhere. Lots of giveaways, you know, certainly went trying to get a bit of merch to make Craig feel jealous. Definitely got a few to pop into the chat. What about the talks, guys? Like, which one was your most impressive project, most impressive person that you saw? Yeah, there's a couple that really stood out for me. Firstly, there was a talk on stablecoins, looking at the data and the adoption rate. What was really interesting is that you're even through this bear market, the stablecoin adoption rate has is increasing as you know, the crypto prices go down and less activity happens on chain and on exchanges. And this is really pointing towards the utility of stablecoins and what they're going to mean for the future. And importantly, what was recognised in that talk was that in the US, US -based stablecoins are being used less and less and offshore and algorithmic stablecoins are being used more and more. And this is really because of the regulatory pressure in the US market. People don't want to interact with US businesses, essentially. And, you know, probably the second most interesting talk that I saw was, you know, the founders Yeah, that was my favourite. Yeah, that was interesting. I didn't think I'd love it as much as I did. But I think me and you both sat there and was like, this is really interesting. Yeah, we had the founder of Polygon, the founder of Arbitrum and the founder of ZK Sync. You can see that the ZK Sync group, probably the most technologically advanced and that's a scaling solution that uses zero knowledge protocols on top of Ethereum. And yeah, definitely the most advanced, you know, scaling solution on top of Ethereum. Secondly, your Arbitrum is very focused on research and creating a really great product that anybody could use. And of course, Polygon's focus is on business development and getting adoption from web two companies. So coming at it from three very different angles there, but all for the same purpose of increasing adoption and scalability of the layer ones. I really like that layer two talk, but much like a music festival, you had to pick who you wanted to see because they're all overlapping. There was, you know, there was a main stage upstairs, another one downstairs. There's a few different talks. I ended up stumbling into the Neo founder, do his chat, which was really interesting. I quite liked that one. And for everyone's information, Neo is a layer one blockchain that was founded in China, very much focused on, you know, being an Eastern kind of competitor to Ethereum or so on. You guys remember the Chinese Ethereum narrative and it pumped Neo like 200X? Been around for a long time. Yeah. So you just kind of, but there was a lot of stans, a lot of people, you know, shilling a lot of different things and, you know, you could kind of get lost there for a while. There was a strong push for mainstream adoption through Web3 and gaming. And I think that was on a lot of panel discussions and a lot of side events were also pushing that. I know Animoca Brands had a lot of big events as well. So I think that was a big focus also. I think we didn't get to see him, but Robbie from Immutable was over there speaking as well. Now, was there one project that you didn't hear of that sort of came across a token at the conference? Like, was there a project that you put into your watch list? Not really. Just the big dogs just reinforcing there. Yeah. Just talking about where the innovation is moving, you know. And one thing that really stood out to me is that, you know, the regulation conversation just isn't that prominent in Asia because the regulation in Asia, the regulation in Asia, there's no issues. And, you know, I think that we can easily have a US -centric point of view sometimes. But in Asia, they're ready to do business there. You know, there's lots of investment happening. There's lots of deals happening. There's lots of growth happening. And some of those stories we'll talk about in today's episode. All in all, the event was memorable one for us and worth attending for our team. And it really did reinforce, you know, our love for the industry and just how far we have all come. And so if anyone's referenced token 2049, the next event will happen in Dubai in early 2024, in April, I believe. So you can check that one out. In April? That's only like six months away. I know. I did say to Blake that I thought that was quite soon. I think they have multiple events. You know, they have them in different regions. There you go. Well, I'll go to that one for the crypto curious community. I'll fly the flag. Cheers. Now, folks, we're going to mix it up a little bit this week, and we're going to cut out our short, sharp news bites at the end, and we're going to go to a few biggest stories because, as you know, we missed our show last week. So we're going to cover off a few biggest stories, starting with Franklin Templeton, a large asset manager who has joined the race for the holy grail, the Spot Bitcoin ETF. As we've previously reported, the aim of many of these leading institutions applying for ETF is to attract large institutional investors, which could potentially bring trillions of dollars into the crypto industry. So Franklin Templeton's ETF will be based on a mix of crypto exchange Bitcoin prices to deter price manipulation. So just another big boy entering the space and solidifying the general thesis that it is inevitable that this Bitcoin Spot ETF will happen. There you go, boys. What else are we going to catch on that's happened in the last few weeks, Craig? Yeah. So last week Vitalik, the Ethereum founder, he had his Twitter or X account hacked, and he shared a malicious link, and it actually led to just under $700 ,000 that was drained from people's wallet. So it was just a scam. People connected their wallet, got drained. But it was coming from his official Twitter. Right. Okay. This was due to a SimSwap attack. Right. These big dogs, even they get hacked. So stay on it. Stay safe, everybody. Yeah, we had that story a couple of weeks ago where your people's private keys were being stolen from their password manager, which had a vulnerability. So even when you're doing best practice activities, you know, sometimes you're still not safe. Can't trust anything. All right. Next up, we have a story that came out on the 13th of September. So received FTX approval from the US bankruptcy court to sell and hedge its crypto holdings valued at $3 .4 billion. That's a lot of bloody crypto. This is when everyone was freaking out about where they were going to drop their salon. Yep. Yeah. So we talked about Galaxy Digital was engaged to help, which is a big crypto focused asset manager to help the liquidators or the administrators sell down these assets. So what they have is $1 .16 billion worth of Solana and they have $560 million in Bitcoin and the rest in other tokens. So, you know, this is a little bit concerning. I think the Bitcoin market could probably absorb, you know, the sell down of $560 million of Bitcoin over, you know, a period of time. But what's the market cap, Craig, of Solana? Well, Solana is still, you know, in the billions. Let me just fact check. They can't sell all the Solana at once or it's going to be $9 .2 million of Solana released for them to sell every month, which I think is fine. So not all the Solana will be dumped in the market, but they have an $8 billion market cap. Yeah. And Solana did take a bit of a dump. I think it dumped around 5 % off this news. It's about 20 % of 15 to 20 % of Solana's market cap. But if they're smart, they're going to do this strategically over time anyway. Yeah, well, the three biggest holdings are Solana, Bitcoin and Ethereum. And then the other ones I've got is APT, Updos, Doge, Tron, Matic, Ripple and BNB. Very minuscule amount of BNB. So, yeah, this caused a bit of a shakeout, didn't it guys? Yeah. But, you know, I'm sure that they'll work on a strategy to release those tokens back into the market over time. I will potentially suppress price, but, you know, hopefully not for too long. Next one. This has happened over the last four or five days. The SEC has gone after the Stoner Cats project. I remember this one from a few years ago and mainly for its connection with Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher because it was, you could buy the rights to, it was a TV show, a cartoon Stoner Cats show. I think they only produced a couple of episodes and Mila and Ashton were the voices of the Cats. I think Jane Fonda was also one of the voices. So the SEC has charged a project for conducting an unregistered NFT offering that raised $8 million and one of the arguments the SEC used was that the entire, the entity promoted the potential for its NFT prices to increase in the secondary market, similar to all NFTs. So Stoner Cats agreed to pay a $1 million penalty and to destroy all NFTs in its possession, but they did not have to admit that it was guilty of the charges. So setting precedent there, so I'm not sure if that was the best way to go for them. And the SEC, you know, are really going for different projects at the moment. This wasn't the first one in recent weeks. So one to watch here, I know Elliot from our marketing team, who you guys see sometimes on our Instagram page, sent an article around talking about the SEC going after NFT projects and Guy from the Coin Bureau also made a big statement about it recently that he's slightly concerned. What are your thoughts, Blake? Well, I think there's a big lesson here. Don't sell cryptographic assets to Americans. Stay the hell away and you'll be fine.

The Bitboy Crypto Podcast
A highlight from Bitcoin Will Drop To This Level
"Guys, this could be the start of the run. This could be the start of the upward action, the bull run. Now, it doesn't mean we're going to go high. Me and Kelly became best friends. Yeah, we're good friends. We're all friends. We had a good little heart -to -heart, talk about life and everything. But I wanted to touch on a couple of things you guys talked about, and then we'll dive into the charts. First thing I want to talk about, first thing I want to talk about, Oh, wait. Hold on. Should I show my calves? Since I'm trying to get them? Well, I've been showing mine. Oh, here he goes. I can't see it. That's too far. They're huge though, guys. They're huge. They're freaking huge. Huge. Okay. So, first things first, looking at the RSI on that same chart you had, one thing I want everybody to realize is look at how low RSI got, the weakness. Let's not call it overbought and oversold, how weak the strength was. And look at the price level. We got down and, you know, below $4 ,000 here. And we're hitting around the same levels of weakness, but look how much higher price action is at that same level of weakness. That, I mean, this is incredible. This is incredibly bullish in the long term. This is why it's so important to zoom out. The other thing I wanted to touch on is when you guys were talking about black swans, there's something that's very important for awareness in the space and knowledge of data sets that are available to all of us. Some people trade just on hopes and dreams. And when you do that, essentially every trade you make, you're setting up yourself to donate your money to somebody that has a better strategy. The Evergrande thing was not a black swan. It felt like it was to some people, but in reality, that was being telegraphed for the last year and a half. FTX, you knew about it then. Other people that were really looking into the data had had forewarning of it for a few weeks. So, black swans to a retail trader are different than somebody that's made a lot of money and a smart money investor because they're looking at broader data set. So, help yourself be in good position within the market by informing yourself and teaching yourself, diving into your education to understand what data sets can give you essentially a leg up, an edge on the market so you don't get caught in this, I don't know what happened, price dropped right when I bought, which all of us have felt. And typically it's because we ignored something that gave us signal to the contrary of the trade that we're making. So, on that note, let's kind of dive in over here to looking at the charts. And I want to point out something that I, about two weeks ago, I shared and everybody, you know, I see in the comments, you know, Kelly's so bearish. Back here, I was suggesting a one, two, three, four, five Elliot wave, potential top at this zone, and then an ABC correction. That's exactly what happened. Now, one of the things I want to point out here on the BitLab trading stack is that we have this trend signal line right here, which is a 50 moving average. It also has some code into it to help, help you identify immediately whether you're in a bearish or bullish setup, having this dynamic resistance or dynamic support zone. And interestingly on the weekly price came down right to this level. So currently we're kind of sitting on the edge of a shelf that could really be ultimately a little consolidation here and then absolute, you know, rocket back to the upside. But if we lose this level, it goes down to what you were just saying earlier, Tim, that we do have potential, a strong potential for lower, lower price action. Now, with this being said, we do have a bit of a bear flag, bear pennant, however you want to call this. And I do see a pretty, pretty strong indication that there is likelihood to come down here and not only tap the 25s, but based on this, essentially this order block that we have all the way from back here. And as anybody that doesn't know what an order block is, order blocks are essentially that specific price areas where large market participants, such as institutional traders have previously placed significant buy or sell orders. Clusters of orders are present in these areas. So essentially it's high interest areas for big money and a lot of other people taking trades at those zones. So I do see just from order block, it's not any other technical analysis. And by the way, there's order blocks are printed with the BitLab volume here. We can see that there's a high sort of liquidity zone down here that we may use as a spring before we do actually move to the upside. And that's all the way starts at about 23 .2. So we do need to pay attention to that. Now, the last thing I wanted to point out lower, you said 23 .2? Yeah. 23 .2 would be on the order block here on the four hour. If we look on the daily, if we look on the daily, yeah. But 25, I mean, I could see 25 actually being the support with having like, kind of like we had these long liquidity zones where, sorry, support where price does come down to 25, having a wick that taps this area and then sort of resetting. If we get the breakdown, we very well, because we have so many things, I mean, so many different things, the long -term holders barely even moved any coins onto exchange. They're holding fast on this drop, virtually no sort of movement there. We look over here, open interest completely reset. This is bullish. It means we're kind of cleaning out some of the messiness in the market. We also see the NVT golden cross. Look at this. Each time this dips down to here, price basically stops falling and we get a little bit of a correction. In this case, this is FTX. This is when we found the floor and then it ultimately moved up out of. Correction here, NVT came down here, moonshot. Correction here, NVT came way down here. This was a black rock move. This is somewhat forecasted the major news events that have propelled the price higher. So there's a lot of different data that's available if we look to it. And the last thing I want to show here is total market cap, excluding Bitcoin. Everything's still holding on to a bullish narrative here in terms of this massive downtrend resistance, the Ethereum and all alts. Yes, we are pushing down lower here, but we're still sitting on top of this ultimate sort of support zone. The close closed above it. So this is good. Now, if anybody's interested in how the hell you figure out what data to look at, come check out bitlabacademy .com. We got all the courses for you right here teaching you how to break down the different data sets and everything. So come get involved. We got a lot of stuff coming out with the new BitLab trading stack overhauled. I'm going to be releasing a really big information and updates and discounts on that. So check it out. But that's all I got. Everybody, be patient. Head yourself. Don't wreck yourself.

The Breakdown
A highlight from Why Post Malone Is Against CBDCs
"Welcome back to The Breakdown with me, N .L .W. It's a daily podcast on macro, Bitcoin, and the big picture power shifts remaking our world. What's going on, guys, it is Friday, August 11th, and today we are talking about everything from an SEC appeal to post Malone discussing CBDCs. Before we get into that, however, if you are enjoying The Breakdown, please go subscribe to it, give it a rating, give it a review, or if you want to dive deeper into the conversation, come join us on the Breakers Discord. You can find a link in the show notes or go to bit .ly slash breakdown pod. All right, friends. Well, at the end of this week, I got called away for some urgent, very quick travel, and so I've had to scramble my schedule a little bit. Given that, you can kind of think of today's episode as a little bit of what the weekly recap normally does, doing a sort of grab bag show of a bunch of things we haven't had a chance to talk about yet, and tomorrow I'm doing sort of a hybrid of Long Read Sunday and a weekly recap where I read a couple essays that I think were about the most important things that happened this week. Then Sunday you get a throwback Long Read Sunday that is really fun. And anyways, all of this is my way of not having to deny you shows as I traveled. So with that, let's get into this grab bag and where we're going to kick off is with the SEC and Ripple. The SEC has indicated to the court that they will seek to appeal last month's Ripple decision. If they are allowed to proceed, the regulator will ask the court's permission to appeal the parts of the decision which went against them. In a letter to the court, the SEC indicated that it would appeal, quote, the courts holding that defendants programmatic offers and sales to XRP buyers over crypto asset trading platforms and Ripple's other distributions in exchange for labor and services did not involve the offer or sale of securities under the Howey test. Now of course, you'll remember that last month's decision found that direct sales of XRP tokens to institutional investors violated securities law, while sales to retail investors through exchanges did not. This is obviously a major significant moment when it comes to the question of whether tokens are securities or not. It's so significant, in fact, that some congressmen have suggested that the notion at the core of the decision, which is that tokens can be offered in a sale that constitutes a securities offering, but that that doesn't necessarily make the tokens themselves securities, should be named after the judge who made that doctrine, i .e. the Torres doctrine. Anyways, the point is this was a big deal. The SEC are requesting what's known as an interlocutory appeal. That's an appeal that occurs over a decision partway through a legal case before it is fully decided. The regulator claimed that dealing with the appeal at this stage could save the court from dealing with two separate trials in the future. The SEC proposed that they could file a brief outlining the appeal in more detail by next Friday. Ripple has the right to respond to this letter and will similarly be able to respond to a full brief. Now separately, the judge has laid out directions for Ripple and the SEC to schedule a trial date in Q2 of next year. The trial will deal with the outstanding matters from last month's order, specifically the allegation that Ripple executives aided and abetted the company in breaching securities law. This trial will not reopen any of the issues that were already decided last month. The SEC is expected to ask for the trial to be postponed until the appeal is dealt with if they are successful in their application. Now Bloomberg senior litigation analyst Elliot Z. Stein gave a little bit of context about what happens next. Stein wrote, That of course brings up the question, will it actually happen? Paradigm policy director Justin Slaughter says he thinks yes. He tweeted, It's odd they waited until the trial schedule to appear, which is why I thought no interlocutory appeal was coming, but that likely won't prevent Judge Torres from granting the appeal request. Former lawyer Scott Chamberlain thinks the opposite. He writes, Judge Torres denies the request. She studiously avoided new law. She found the token is not the security, accepted the SEC's characterization of the transaction buckets to be analyzed, and simply applied Howie and its progeny to the SEC's chosen buckets. SEC failed because the undisputed facts didn't support all the Howie prongs for two of its three chosen transaction buckets, not because Judge Torres shifted the legal goalposts on the definition of those prongs. So next up, we're waiting to see if Judge Torres grants this request. Next up, Representative Maxine Blow a Kiss to SBF Waters is apparently concerned about PiUSD. On Wednesday, Representative Waters released a statement regarding the PayPal stablecoin announcement. She wrote that she was, PayPal instead, of course, chose to launch the stablecoin under the regulatory framework and supervision of New York State. Waters implied that the state regulation is inadequate compared to as yet hypothetical federal regulations. She wrote that, quote, Now, Waters is, of course, the ranking Democrat member of the House Financial Services Committee and has been in charge of negotiating stablecoin legislation over the past 15 months. The Republican sponsored stablecoin bill was finally passed by the committee during a tense hearing last month. In that meeting, Waters voted against the bill, but several younger Democrats defected from their party line to vote with the Republican majority. The stablecoin legislation is now eligible to be introduced for a vote on the House floor. Waters key issue with state regulation is that it removes the Fed as the final arbiter on stablecoins. During debates around the stablecoin legislation, she had said, The Republican bill undermines the Fed's role as our central bank, making it harder to protect the economy against inflation or support maximum employment if stablecoins are broadly adopted. Now, of course, Republican committee chairman Patrick McHenry does not share Waters concern that putting dollars on a blockchain will threaten to collapse the power of the strongest central bank in the world. On Monday, he remarked on the PayPal announcement by saying, This announcement is a clear signal that stablecoins, if issued under a clear regulatory framework, hold promise as a pillar of our 21st century payment system. In her statement, Waters also suggested the Republican bill had slim chances in the Democrat -controlled Senate urged Republicans to, quote, come back to the negotiating table to craft a bill that actually works. Now, Twitter response on this was about what you would expect. Castle Island Ventures partner Matt Walsh said, Maxine Waters is, quote, deeply concerned that PayPal chose the NYDFS path versus the federal path. Federal path for issuing a stablecoin literally doesn't exist. What planet are we on? Austin Campbell tweeted, Politician blocking federal legislation concern company did not file for federal license that doesn't exist because of said politician blocking legislation. You don't get to burn someone's house down and then call it a fire hazard. Next up, crypto infrastructure firm Fireblocks have disclosed a set of vulnerabilities which they are referring to as Bitforge, impacting a number of popular crypto wallets. The vulnerable wallets use multi -party computation or MPC technology, which is typically used in advanced user -facing and custodial applications. Fireblocks are classifying Bitforge as a zero -day vulnerability, meaning that it hasn't been discovered by the developers of the affected software or hackers in the wild. Coinbase, Zengo, and Binance have all collaborated with Fireblocks to fix the vulnerability within their custody systems. What's more, Fireblocks have said they reached out to other teams that might be impacted in accordance with a 90 -day responsible disclosure process. The biggest worry is that this vulnerability was found in MPC wallets, which are intended to be some of the most safe wallet designs in the world. Fireblocks said in a statement that, If left unremediated, the exposures would allow attackers and malicious insiders to drain funds from the wallets of millions of retail and institutional customers in seconds, with no knowledge to the user or vendor. Fireblocks characterized an attack exploiting the vulnerabilities would have been practical. They highlighted that the complexity of the vulnerability meant it was highly unlikely that a bad actor would have discovered the issue in advance of Wednesday's disclosure. Now MPC wallets add an extra layer of security by re -encrypting a private key and splitting it into multiple parts to be stored across multiple devices. The intention is that no single trusted device can access the crypto wallet without assistance from additional trusted parties. The Bitforge vulnerabilities would have, allowed a hacker to extract the full private key if they were able to compromise only one device, which of course would have undermined the entire multi -party security design. Overall, the whole process seems to have been a win, at least in the sense that this was discovered before it was exploited. Still, it's just a reminder that even when it comes to self -custody, things are scary out there. Now let's close with a little bit of a whistle -stop tour in the world of CBDCs. In the UK, the Bank of England has set up an advisory group for its central bank digital currency as it enters the design phase of the project. The British CBDC, which is still not officially referred to as Brickcoin, will be designed with help from a panel of experts across finance, economics, business, and more. The BOE said of the academic advisory group, In February, a consultation was conducted on the digital pound, which concluded in June. The BOE plans to run its own experimentation and design phase over the next two years, according to people familiar with the matter. The BOE will also be recruiting members for its CBDC engagement forum, which was set up to help it, quote, No word yet on whether the Orwell estate will be consulted on the CBDC design. Moving over to Russia, that country will enter a new stage of its CBDC program next week with real -world testing across 13 banks. A law authorizing the issuance of the digital ruble was signed into law last month, while the Russian central bank's testing and design process has been ongoing for over a year. In Wednesday's announcement, the central bank said, quote, The deputy governor of the central bank said that citizens should be able to access the During this pilot phase, 13 banks will test the digital ruble with a select group of their clients. The testing will focus on digital wallets, peer -to -peer transactions, purchases of goods and services using QR codes, and simple automated payments. The central bank announcement said, Now, lastly today, both on CBDCs and in general for our show, pop star Post Malone spoke extensively about what he saw as the dangers of a US CBDC in an appearance on the Joe Rogan podcast this week. Now, rather than me summing it up, let's just listen to a clip from that exchange. Apologies in advance and listener beware for the colorful language. I decided it made more sense to leave it and warn you than to censor Joe and Posty. So how do you feel about the government's digital currency that they're working on? No fucking way. No way. That's what I think. I think that's checkmate. That's game over. That is fucking checkmate. Because if they apply that to a social credit score, if they decide somehow or another that you need some social credit score system and it's for the benefit of society, and they outline that they can track your behavior and your tweets and all your things, you get a score. Already doing that. They just haven't released the fucking report cards. Well, they don't have the kind of freedom that they'd like. They didn't send the report cards home to the parents yet. Everything already is imprinted. Everything is already tracked. Everything is already there. But they just can't control you to the same extent that they would like. What they would like to do is to be able to strip you of your money and to be able to lock you down and then make sure that you comply so that all the other people also comply because they don't want to be stripped of their money. They don't want everything they work for just be taken away instantly overnight and be powerless. No one to call. No one's going to answer your phone. They just decided you fucked up and the rules are the rules and so then where does that money go? Who takes your money? When people start profiting off of confiscating people's digital currency, it's going to be a real fucking problem. It's not all fucking currency is digital. Yeah, but the idea of them controlling all of the money. And it's all unilateral. It's all the same fucking thing. That's a problem. And here's the problem I think is that people are going to do it due to convenience of it. Now one strain of commentary that I saw around this was Bitcoiners being flustered that neither of these guys mentioned Bitcoin. And while I understand where they're coming from, boy is that the wrong takeaway from this. Post Malone has 31 million followers across Twitter and Instagram. He's one of the biggest musicians in the world full stop. Rogan gets 11 million listeners per episode on average, even when it's not a huge celebrity. I think in a lot of ways this conversation about the concerns that come with the central bank digital currency is going to resonate a hell of a lot more for a lot of people given that there wasn't some specific coin solution being shilled. Now of course for us Bitcoiners, we know we have a preferred alternative, but you have to think if we're playing the long game, having people be bought into the fact that there might be a problem here is much more important than forcing them to adopt a preferred solution right away. So to the extent one cares about this set of issues, I think this was a pretty seminal pop culture moment, even if orange coin wasn't on set. Anyways guys, that is going to do it for today's episode. I appreciate you listening as always and until tomorrow, be safe and take care of each other. Peace.

Elliot Williams: Case Against Donald Trump Is 'Not a Slam Dunk'
"You've got CNN legal analysts saying this case is really flimsy. I mean, she and Anne's admitting it. And she and N is all anti Trump all the time. They hate the guy. They hate the guy. But yet this guy somehow was allowed to express the belief guide by the name of Elliot Williams, who's a CNN legal analyst, pointing out that this is really a very flimsy case to make history and for the first time ever in the history of the United States arrest a president. It's never been done before. We have never seen a sitting or former president arrested before. This would be the first time in the history of America that it would happen. But listen to this CNN legal analyst throwing a bunch of cold water all over it. So a couple of things. One, it's the facts are old. There's 6 or 7 years old and the star witness here in the form of Michael Cohen, Donald Trump's former attorney, has credibility issues has been convicted of crimes. And so your point, Abby, as far as the strength of the case, it's certainly not the kind of slam dunk that many people would wish that it were.

Bruce Elliot: Teacher Unions Want a Monopoly on Government Schools
"Glad you pointed out the home component of this. I'm thinking if I'm a parent and my kid can't do multiplication or can't add or subtract, I should I should know that as a parent and bring that to the school's attention, but it looks like we've just had failure across the board and it's not just in Baltimore city or county. I suspect this is happening in school districts all over America. Well, check this out. What was up this study? And you want to be discouraged about something. Maryland, rates as a second, most educated state in the country. This is at the same time where you have these numbers. We're seeing schools. Well, they're getting a lot of help getting their numbers from Montgomery county, Maryland, and prince Georgia's Connie Maryland, which immediately about Washington D.C.. And in that case, yeah, you have a lot of working professionals with professional degrees or advanced degrees working for either institutions having to do with the government or working directly forward the government. But you get outside that kind of specialized area, you take a look at what's happening in Washington, D.C. take a look what's happening in Baltimore. Take a look at what's happening in St. Louis or Cleveland or Detroit or virtually any urban area in this country and you'll find failure after failure as your failure and still, you have the teachers union, pushing hard against the idea of what I think is a pretty common sense thing. The money follows the kid. That if your kid is going to public school, the money follows the kid, if your kid is being homeschooled, the money follows the kid. If your kid is going to either their Catholic high school or Jewish high school, whatever the case might be, again, the money follows the child. The teachers union does not want that to happen. They want to monopoly not on what I call public schools, but they want to monopoly on the government schools.

"I'm doing well and welcome to the show. We've been following this crazy story out of Baltimore and folks, Bruce is one of the top radio host in America, co hosting the morning drive, Casey and Elliott on talk radio 6 80, which is our great affiliate there. Bruce's story about Baltimore county and math proficiency. What's going on there? Well, it's both what we're city and boulevard county, Todd, that the kids are not testing too great to put a very politely story on WBS TV here locally, a couple of days ago, said that 23 schools were checked. Ten high schools, 8 elementary schools, three middle schools are 2000 students took the amount of test and various grade levels and zero students tested proficient in math. These are three schools where zero zero proficiency of these schools for incarcerated youth. We hope that you are for students with disabilities. But those are special schools. The 23 schools that they checked in this particular survey indicated with one or two students at the outside proficient in math and most of the schools had no one proficient in math at their grade level. This is a pretty grim number. And the bulls are counting numbers turned out we just want to say. So something is not working well here.

AJ's Thoughts on Elliot Page
"Did you see Elliot Page? Whenever I hear Elliot Page, I always think it's not the former Ellen Page. To me, Elliot Page is the kid from ET who grew up. Because Alan page is starting to look like him when he was younger. It's very strange this trio of people. But Elliot Page went to the Met Gala and wore a black Christ. I can't, you know, can we, can we just be honest for a second here? Can everybody be honest? You know, she looked like she looked like a little boy in his first big boy suit. You know, she looked like she was stepping out of the bedroom after mommy dressed him or he and gonna get ready to go to Sears or JCPenney for the family photo. That's what she looked like. I can't say he. I just can't say it's a shake. It's fucking Ellen Page. Just 'cause she went to the doctor and you pointed out what kind of cabs you like and what kind of pets you want. Don't make your boy. I'm sick of this. I know she felt like a boy and she hated looking at female t-shirts on movie sets. She didn't want to get her body into a female T-shirt. He used to make a physically ill, listen, I don't know what to tell you. I just, I can't, I think a lot of this is a mental defect. I just do. I do. When you see Caitlyn Jenna, do you think that's a very well grounded person? I certainly don't. I think a lot of people are with me. I mean, is that what Ellen Page is transition? Is this what she was looking to do? Did she want to look like Elliot? Is this the guy she wanted to be? Did she want to become a 7th grade boy? Because that's what she looked like. If she did, then that surgeon needs some great PR because he's wonderful.

And she leans toward me and says they still have plenty of gas but corporate co- just called and told them to shut down the pumps. She looks at me. Dead in the eye and says makes you question things. Don't it okay. So i was the the lady coming out saying we're out of gas. Okay i i can see that being a thing and then them still actually having gas. I can see that being a thing but like why would you go and tell the Right oh yeah we do. Have to s right. That's an also like. Is she doing as she going outside to tell people all day or like what's just called just called. Okay okay they just called. Hey we're outta gas. Sorry but why does corporate now before she does that their names but they're not out of gas. I'll like tien say. Hey we're out of just the way you said it was weird. Yeah so so causes. How like it doubled from the last time. And then they'd come in the month it'd be like triple downwards just like that and it was it was essentially. A false shortage was coming it. Just like was a slower trickle right in some places it wasn't shortage at all. They just raise the prices to match like the parts. Departs for 'cause the honda plant shutdown in marysville. Yes and it's because the plant in texas has co vedder. They had to shut down as of workers. I'm now it's microchips the microprocessors where like my understanding about the like the Marysville right now is they have a shitload of cars that are just sitting there that are looking for small parts like they're just waiting on like microchips. Like processors like they just don't have enough processor right for that kinda stuff because we're not making processors here in this country right like well One country right now is kind of the problem is very problematic. But yeah that's my understand because they like they were gonna shut down. The mary's plant was shut down. Because we were gonna deliver stuff up there for people to do some work on it and they did it and they read it and then they ended it like in the span of a week they sneeze snap snap snap. It was like you know the emotional tall three. The sect is how it was just like back and forth back avoid. Have you ever heard world lizzy. I've.

Just as they're getting off the plane guy comes running up and he introduces himself as dr gomez. Any needs to use of elliott's plane to get a sick child to a hospital over three hours away. Elliot agrees so now. They're all set to start their scuba training. And mike tells. Gloria things will be okay if elliott follows all precautions glorious says he never does mikes response he better now before they start training mike scouts out the deep area offshore for sharks. We see a variety of sharks white tips black tips and even some clown fish interesting. Now we start to see what scuba training was like in nineteen fifty eight. Mike takes the couple through snorkeling skills and then talks about how the equipment is delicate and technical. He tells them there is only one way and that is safely theory in practice. That's what it takes. But elliott is getting impatient in the next scene we see mike demonstrating what happens when a balloon is inflated at depth and brought up boom. Goes the balloon back on the boat. Mike tells them it's called an air. Embolism and you must always excel. Exhale as you extend. Gloria asks mike. How fast and he tells her no faster than your bubbles. Elliott wants to know. When do we stop learning and go hunting. He wants his shark. Glorious says she's tired and wants to sit out the next dive. Elliot tries to coax her into diving. But mike says it's dangerous to dive if you're tired so now we switch back to the hotel and we can clearly see the tension between elliott gloria. Gloria tells mike that that elliott is a mixed up millionaire. He's an architect. Who inherited the conway oil company when his father was killed in an auto accident. Elliott doesn't want to really be an architect anymore. Just a big game hunter. Now elliott comes into the scene and he's carrying a spear gun that he's all proud of its cocked and loaded. Mike is furious and he and elliot start to argue. And in the argument elliot drops the spear gun. It goes off narrowly missing gloria and lodging in palm tree. Now we switch back underwater. Mike says elliott has be elliott has become pretty good. Shot with the spear gun. And they're shooting at this target. That set up kind of lake for archery. But mike says he just needs to stop pointing a gun at mike. Now we switch back to land where mike. Gloria elliott are working on camera to document the shark on elliott. Says he wants to order. Chicken cacciatore for dinner might tell them. Oh no that's too spicy before diving. Says okay good now. Probably order to and elliot goes off. It's just mike gloria now. Gloria tells mike she's unhappy made a big mistake in marrying elliot. Mike tries to console her and she tells mike he's sweet and she puts her head on his chest. Elliot sees this and is upset. What's going to happen when they go on the shark hunt the next morning. They are at the dive site. Mike cuisine i finds a shark and is ready to take them down for the hunt. Just as soon as you can get the bait ready now. The three of them are down below at seventy five feet. Gloria has the camera as mike elliott head off to the hunt just end we switched to the surface in a boat is approaching. Its dr gomez. He needs elliott's playing again. As you get close to the dive boat. He throws his anchor over the side and it crashes down into gloria breaking her rag might just happens to look back and sees the glory is in trouble and they both rush back elliott steps in and starts buddy breathing with gloria the sharks. Fresh off debate sense trouble. As the big one continues to circle. Mike is impressed. With elliott's calmness and sends them to the surface while mike fights a rearguard action again and he spears the big shark. We then see all the divers back on board and dr gomez says we must go sure back at the hotel. Elliott s mike. Why don't they haven't hospital here. In puerto blanco might tells him. It's always money. Justin dr gomez emerges and skulls mike for letting gloria dive in her condition. She's expecting a child in six months. And dr gomez congratulates elliott by saying congratulations senor. Now you need to take her back to the states to the hospital. That does elliott is going to build a hospital in portable. Ongko and keith tells mike it'll be done in six months. Mike says that can't be done elliott. Replies you don't know me when i go to work elliott conway the hero. You'd recognize him. That's larry hagman. J are jr ewing from dallas or tony nelson from my dream of jeannie Mike nelson tony nelson coincidence. Who knows

"She's a career mom with a high energy three year old son and works at a fortune. One hundred company. thank you. Jenny elliott for joining us. Today thank you so much for having me said jenny. Tell us what made you develop this. Podcast yeah it was kinda journey. I was in the workforce. I've worked for the same company my entire career which is a little rare but it's a large organization. I'm in the accounting finance function. So i was ten years into my career before. I got pregnant and i kind of thought it was another. You know like life van you get married and then you can go back to your career and you continue on with your goals and now my life is just a little different because i have this beautiful baby and when i actually went through it. I was so shocked at how unprepared i was to transition. Back to the workforce after maternity leave. I did a lot of preparation for my pregnancy and birth in you know breastfeeding and sleep trine and there was nothing about going back to work and so i kind of just thought like making the decision to go back was the hardest part because you hear a lot about women that don't return to the workforce after maternity. Leave him. i from the the beginning of miley. I was very clear that i wanted to go back and then spending every day with a newborn i definitely knew i wanted to go back but then that whole first year of being back in the workforce was hard and i was unprepared for it. I felt like nobody talked about it. I felt like a failure as a mother and an employee and it took a lot of reflecting and navigating. Sue kind of come to this point where i realized that i had an identity crisis that i didn't know who i was as a career woman. I didn't know who i was as a mom. I didn't know who was as a person. And as i was kind of figuring some of that stuff out i started having conversations with peers at work our friends that were also working moms and i'm like heard this term like identity shift or identity crisis and everybody was like. Oh my gosh yes that totally happens. I totally had that exact same thing. The first year or two back at work is so hard. And i was just like how. Come no one's talking about this. How come i didn't know. And after some of these conversations we would get so into the topic that we'd like man. Isn't there a podcast episode about this. Because i really relied heavily on podcast when i was on maternity. Leave for entertainment handle. So there's tons on general motherhood. But i couldn't find anything specific to motherhood in corporate environments most of the working mom podcast were logger turned podcasters. That were doing like the naptime things that i just didn't relate to so once i kind of figured out my identity and who i was as a mom and a working mom. I was looking for a creative outlet in one slip..
