"I'm robert evans. Does it seem like everything's kind of falling apart that's because it is First off climate change is hitting a lot harder than our most optimistic predictions had an -ticipant. And that's leading to infrastructure falling apart. It's leading to food and everything becoming more expensive. It's just going to cause a lot of continued problems and weird problems like remember when toilet paper wasn't available. That kind of weird. It's gonna keep happening. We're also going to continue our lurch into authoritarianism and that can be kinda scary but the good news. Is that win. Things start to fall apart. We all have an opportunity to replace them with something better to build a new world from the ashes of the old on my new show. It could happen here monday. Through friday will chronicle the collapse. Yes cuny a the cast of the documentaries answering questions from the documentary that aired. I know personally. That's when aaron her parents who were in the audience asking and what a beautiful beautiful end. I thought for aaron anyway like a beautiful and to her. Aaron never really had a permanent family like growing up. She was in boston homes. And i just love that. The writers arrange that for aaron at the end to meet her birth pair..

"So you had a number of relationships throughout the show. I mean probably in some ways. You're you're central relationship. You brought up. His was your relationship with michael moore. It's almost a father daughter thing going on in a way as a mentor. Someone you look up to. You'll probably the only character that looks up to michael scott like she never though like beaten down by him or rolled her eyes at hint. You know what i mean. Oh my gosh. no on the contrary she. She adored him like he was. I think an inspiration to her and just like gee was just the top. I think darren 'cause i remember when aaron meets holly. She's just like so. It's almost like she's territorial. She's like this and the lady who's stealing michael's heart she. She's just so skeptical of this woman because she feels like no one is good enough for michael scott which is really funny and it definitely felt like a father daughter relationship. I thought it was very tender. Very sweet and very well written the way they. The writers crafted that whole relationship was was really sweet. Why do you think they bonded. i'll to use your word. I think they are both a little childlike. I mean you're worried about something else entirely was just a word. I just heard that. I said you didn't describe it as child like what you just said that word and now i think that they both are a little child. Like i think that they're they're both odd. And i think that Aaron didn't have an she never ever had stable parental figure in her life and certainly not a strong male figure in her life and i think that she found that and michael i mean just by definition he was her boss..

"Today's guest is someone really dear to me. I love her and we share a special bond. That only comes after. One person has sat on the other person's shoulders a pool of lukewarm water. For eight hours straight. I mean we all have that friend right. Yes you guessed it. It's ellie kemper now listening back to this one. This was a bit of a trip for me. Because i i spoke with ellie in april of twenty twenty. Does anyone remember something that was going on in the world around that time. No not murder hornets. no not Not running for president. Now it was the early days of the global pandemic known as corona virus. So i talked to ellie over zoom. This was back win. Zoom was still new thing. I didn't even know what a zoom was at that point. But you're going to hear us trying to figure out the technology talking about quarantine. We were so naive back then anyways enough about that. Let's just focus on our conversation. Our great conversation and the great episode. That i have for you so sit back. Relax and listen to the soothing. Sound of me and the hilarious. Ellie kemper bubbling. Squeaky bubbling squeak. Squeak cooking left over from the night. Before m i in the meeting. Oh l. e. u. r. n. Them meeting a me. Can you hear me okay. i'm actually don't know. Can you hear me okay. I can hear you crystal clear god. That's so great ellie. It's so nice to hear your voice. Or i n i have been looking. It's so nice to hear your voice. I have been looking forward to this for many reasons. I mean originally. You know. This meeting is being recorded. Oh okay we got it. And i was looking forward to it. Of course for obvious reasons and now during this unimaginable time it is nice. Hear your voice i know. Are you all okay. Yes we are hunkering down. You guys just decided to get out of new york. We were actually in montreal. When like mid march or whenever everything started shutting down so we were already out of new york. We decided better to avoid going back there. So that's why we came to saint. Louis which is where i'm do you know him from. Yeah no i know. No i know. Janna phyllis all of you guys all of the cool cats have you seen ferries or no because your social distancing social distancing. I've seen i've seen have you seen that. I've seen no one i. I don't know how to interact with humans. Anymore is my family. You're not gonna be weird. I think it is well. We were wanting to person we were. But it's so nice to hear from you. I mean. I've heard the phone. Yeah i just can't believe that like what was it two months ago when we were trying to meet up in new york and it seemed like a very normal like logistics that got in the way it was like. Oh yeah i'm going to be near. Oh great you're flying to new york on an airplane with other passengers. And i'll meet you down you don't and i'll give you a hug and like lick your mom yeah. There won't be the issues. I know exactly ellie. So what were you doing. What were you doing before the office was. I doing okay so i was very little but that's not true. I was doing commercials. And you're spending one night there with his barstool. Put you up the push up at a nice place. We i've done that. I haven't even gone through that process yet. Your hotel room cheap train. I wish i knew that. I would have been taken days off from the gerry callahan. Podcast new york on this whole you have you heard yet whether you will get to Meet your heroes. Are you going to actually sit down with eric own lunch with kirk today. Actually that he asked me. And i said i was busy. And then i guess he called jew. But you're going to Obviously you'll meet nardini the ceo the token ceo correct. Yes i hope. So yes ban. will you mean. You probably won't make portnoy because he's traveling the world he's probably like in a in a monte carlo or something with you know one with prince prince william or something that's probably at a polo match with the royal family. Portnoy is such ace super celebrity. Now i remember one thing. And i i like him. We used to have on the show and everything but he he said to me one day. I literally laughed at me. Said i don't care what celebrities that means. Nothing to me. And i laughed. I said you gotta be kidding. You who love celebrities chile. And i mean. He is a celebrity but he loves schmoozing. There's only one reason but he doesn't ask. I mean he does. He does it to clay travis raw needed. No clay travis is a big deal now sold his company and he's kind of with the with the beautiful people and on fox news and you know there's only one reason you go to the jake. Paul floyd mayweather fight every logan. Jake whatever aaron paul one of the polls gave ball The only reason you go is to be among celebrities among the cool and these celebrities like whatever it a political slow. These are cool people man. These are rapper agreement. Well this one. I don't know. I can't speak for him but they did have like a sponsorship arrangement thing going on with him but he loves it he loves that stuff and you'll be in that orbit and that's why you're so excited and that's next week. So here's the deal i won't. I won't give you a hard time for begging out for the first time in a year and a half but you gotta tell me All the details. I want to hear about it. Because i want to hear just how exciting it was for you. It's like talking to a six year old about his first trip to fenway park. I mean i wanna hear what it was like and you know how people treated you how these big i always hear why hired production crew so like i could go to this legs for my wedding. I didn't i got a whole team. That's gonna fall me from waking up that morning all the way to go in bed one. I'm in new york city. They're going to document the entire thing. And i just ask you gave. Could you get me a spitting chocolates t shirt or or cool or cousy. Actually one of my one of our buddies in the sales department sent me. These king colleague shirts come into the office. Gave me one of these but unfortunately i don't think i have a large. He sent mediums baby. That's okay you'll i'm sure you this whole thing will explode. You'll become a super celebrity. And you'll forget us all but that's okay but he the new person that you hire. Can you just make sure that it's like you can get out. Just in case. I ended up getting shit can buy kirk that i can come back to this like i gave it four months. That's my over under with your new boss but We'll see we'll see how the new guy whoever it is works out. But i have an idea today in your final few days with me. It's i. I know you heard we read everybody. Read the latest hunter biden scandal. I mean the the thing people don't understand is this laptop is a never ending treasure trove for a the. Not all the media. Obviously it'll be covered by most of the mainstream media but for fox news for talk radio for the new york post. It's this is the gift that will never stop giving because there's a lot on there and it's coming out dribs and drabs and you're going to see hell the new york post editor. Miranda devine columnist. Who is on tv a lot. The the woman with the british accent. She's got a book coming out. I believe it's called the laptop from hell and there's going to be details in there and hannity's this all the time. He says his sources tell them. It's going to get much worse before it gets better. And i heard the same thing. In fact i've seen a couple of photos. I'm not sure who who tweeted them. But one day. I saw him and let me just say that some of the women the naked women in the naked pictures with drugged out hunter biden. I'm not sure they check their id's. I'm not sure hunter stoned out drunk. Hunter check their id's before making Naked with them. But you know we'll get ahead of ourselves. We'll deal with today's story. And i think here's what we're gonna do. We don't have any sound as you know. As most people know her biden he likes to use the n. Word now his father's daily talking about all the evil white supremacists racism systemic racism in this country. I guess he would know because he's got in his family he's got in his in his home At some point hunter I mean this guy text like this. Is there any doubt. He talks even worse. You text you type these words but and you're putting them up on the screen..

"Not like the unique genius of joe biden to like make yourself seem like you're working on something But you know it's a good idea. thank you think. Also i mean now we live in a world without donald trump on twitter. And you do sort of see the power that like it really was that combination like he had a blog. The blog didn't even last a month. And i think like we probably also be on this like need to think about the fact that like facebook and twitter really could be like. Actually you need to go away and he really did like. It was a very unique combination that against donald trump were still on twitter. I think the biden presidency would probably look a little bit different. The controversies of day to day to be different and we you know what he still have the ability to command at least some of the new cycle even being out of the white house but absolutely right whereas as was like my hot historical take is that the trump era and on january eighth when he gets indefinitely banned from twitter. Because you really did see just immediately that his ability to command the political oxygen went totally out the window so maybe donald trump who is a little less keen on defending his supporters at all costs and doesn't turn january. Sixth into a thing is a much bigger problem for joe biden right now. More useful foil for by. I mean it's not it's it's not totally clear to me. What the like. Net impact of reduced trump twitter. Visibility is on different kinds of things right because like with some of this stuff. You know. I mean i feel like republicans have on one level like regain some of their political footing right like they don't talk a lot about their opposition. To biden's more popular idea as they just quietly obstruct in congress. They try to fill the news agenda with other stuff. Where like they want. Very conventional patriotic education and democrats are trying to teach you critical race theory. That's a good conversation for them. I think trump actually filling that void would be more likely to message this stuff in a bad way right like he's not he. He's just like kind of sloppy guy. I think gutu. Not you know the needle while he never did a good job of like you know like holding straight face and being like we're really concerned about the impact of crime on communities of color you know like there's like there's like an art to like wedge issue that like i think trump really did not master And you know having him. Down as a messenger i think is probably that official joe. Republicans i mean. There's a reason why like they will jump up and down and yell and scream about the evils of social media companies when they want to but like they're actually very restrained about trump being off social media. Yeah i don't know all of this is a good The idea that this is a sweet generous. Trump is not what the authors of this paper are trying to say. They are trying to say that. Twitter is something similar to if with a smaller than lake the extent to which watching fox news people to the right or reading the washington post moves them to the left. I think all of us are all right. Now are not super persuaded. That that's the case. But i guess we'll see if we'll we'll see the next time. Donald trump is not on the presidential ballot whether or not twitter is still a meaningful mover of public opinion. And i also. I also wanted to say like the reason. I'm i'm skeptical right. 'cause i'm i'm sort of a believer in the fox news effect but like thing about fox's that it was started by roger ailes who's conservative but was a conservative political operative. So he possibly trying to do programming. That will house electoral impacts. Twitter is not a then you for message discipline right like if you ask people now probably if you could get like the smartest message testers to like make every nor me liberal on twitter like deliver talking points like that might have that kind of in but like that's not what's going on. I'd love to see someone tried to study. The impact of twitter on attitude changed right because the flip side of that is that twitter is a great way to take like fairly radical left wing ideas and present them to people who are at the seventy of the percentile of progressiveness to ninety nine. Right like intuitively. I feel like there's a lot of that on twitter right. Like not taking ideas from forty to seventy but taking ideas from like five to thirty twitter is full ride like for for better or worse like eccentric things that would be kept. Aw gatekeepers don't want to deal with get voiced on twitter and spread around right. But then that if i just that immediately then go to like these three guys on twitter saint x y z and the other three guys on twitter. I like we must pick at this exact thing and then we them to the twitter howl that is every day. This is like super far afield from the paper. But i do want to take this opportunity to give a shout out to the internet in general. Because i am seeing a lot of like a good amount more knee-jerk skepticism of pieces. That pull out you know. Random people's tweets as evidence of some kind of social media phenomenon or backlash and as a big believer in the fact that Everything that someone thinks of click. Bait is a rational response to what people want to read or consume if people can successfully starve. The social media says x. y. z. From attention when it's not talking about individuals or particular groups with powerful followings. Then we're probably going to be able to move past that so optimistic i mean. Do we remember ellie kemper. Gay just last week okay. That's fair highly driven by twitter nut picking that's their Who knows okay. That i think i think we should should wrap this up. Set up we're getting into the official loopy period day. Thanks emily for joining us at thanks. It's always to our sponsors. Thanks our producer tanakh news. We'll be back. I'm.
Ellie Kemper Apologizes for Role With Group That Had Racist Past
"The TV show actress has apologized for taking part in an event sponsored by a group that she now acknowledges had a racist past saying that ignorance is no excuse Ellie Kemper's apologizing for taking part in a debutante ball that was hosted by St Louis organization that dates back to eighteen hundred but did not allow any black members until nineteen seventy nine the star of unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and former cast member on the office was named the queen of love and beauty at the veiled prophet ball in St Louis she was nineteen at the time and says she was unaware of its history but now she says it is clear that it had an unquestionably racist sexist and elitist past the organization itself is acknowledging its past process as it exists now it rejects racism in any form I'm Oscar wells Gabriel

"Are bad right. I mean if you not even employees if you can find me a six year old that kind of mental attitude. Than i mean i was getting yelled at. I think i've set on the podcast before my dad. You gotta get up and got to go to church Up until i as long as you're living in this house you gotta go to church. And i was living in the house until i was seventeen. Am i just drive around. But that for him. That was good enough. He did his job. I don't go. I don't go you follow me there. That was the deal. So i had to guess about a year about that with my license and then going to school so that i really feel strongly about this. I really feel. Because because i guess i guess at the root of it I think the vast majority of people are good. Yeah especially when you're around children. Oh you're on my son. And i'm like this is so beautiful even though it's even though it's nothing really but he's you know for in south florida. He's going to be exposed to more people of latino descent Or he's just playing with a black kid or whatever you don't even think about it you don't think about it. i guess. Jewish kids were in the south city. I didn't i wasn't nervous. Catholic neighborhood you know and nobody gives. They couldn't care any less at the route. I think people are just good and they're not they don't want to be told that they're bad. And i think a lot of what's going on recently is that But i think a lot of people are going okay. You don't like it well. Guess what. That was my experience growing up because i was black Or that was my parents experience. My grandparents are experiencing when to go way back. My great great great grandparent was a slave. Yeah so we're not talking about apples to apples here for sure. We're having a different. My my grandparents couldn't vote. My grandparent was sprayed with a hose because he wanted to eat a diner. It's a different deal. The overall premise is people are being told they are wrong or they are bad just because of who they are and understandably. There's going to be resistance to that. Yup i don't give a fuck. What if you're an evangelical christian who thinks that you know pat robertson is the greatest or if you are you know a gay rights activists who you know views things whatever the case if you are told you're a bad person that's not going to be a way to bring people together at the table and i think so much of this is that my i really do so for example One of the things that i noticed right out of the gate right after donald trump was elected. Yeah you had a lot of people who voted for him who may be going into. It weren't public about it. And then after the fact they became more public about it. Yeah and then you had a bunch of people saying well if you voted for him. You're racist and we're okay. Well now calling. My parents most likely racist and probably large number of my friends and i know that that is not the case but some people will you are supporting policies. That are racist. Well so what have you done right there. Yeah you might feel that way people listening right. Now go yeah. That's i stand by that. If i did say that. I stand by. That doesn't change my mind on that. What i'm telling you is this. You call somebody a racist very rarely. Is it going to lead. O thank you you know. And then secondarily. You're not going to have a discussion. So what productivity comes from it. It's not a conversation starter. It's an automatic. Somebody is on the offensive which means somebody is on the defensive or they come over the top and mcgee even more on the offensive And that that is one in my premise and bringing up trump trump voters is. I was not. I would not i under. I can't imagine i up. I can't imagine a circumstance in which i would vote for him. I know plenty of people. Probably i would say the majority of my friends probably did. Don't know don't really talk much about it. yeah But but but again you compartmentalize it so when you call people names. You are automatically causing a problematic discussion. And i'm talking about whatever name it is so are we having a conversation. We just trying to get likes on social media and we just trying to sell articles and advertising when it gets down to it for me even said here which to me is just like i think just kind of like obvious. Some people go what the fuck. I can't believe you're saying this. I don't even know what you think it would be about. Yeah but i know that even having a conversation about it. I would never have this conversation on the radio because i know lead all and i don't want to expose the other guys on the show to it but if i have to deal with it i have to deal with it but my premises people are good hot. Take and if you were to ask people questions. I think the vast majority of people would actually agree but it's the perverted the manipulated Intentionally it's like. It's like fun house in the mirror. Changes that that's what it's like. Okay here's some of the facts. We're going to store just a couple of them and now we're gonna cater and package it up into your bubble. Yeah and i'm gonna take the same story and i'm going to distort a of the facts and then kinda fuck with the headline book and i'm going to cater over to this guy's bubble. Yeah and it's going be the same story. As far as the topic goes but the reading experience the comprehension experience will be totally different thing. Yeah i hear what you're saying on that and that to me that to me is what is going on and when you can have somebody tweet something out. As benign has What's the veiled prophet ball and then it turns into oh a fancy event put on by our local. Kkk of which allie camera was once the queen of love and beauty and now ellie kemper is the one issuing an apology but the person who tweeted out the thing that was accurate and the organization the company that put that up in lights by saying this is trending in doing anything about it. The organization might go. Well we you know. How can we police that. I'm sure plenty of people. People are trump people more people might not be trump people. Because you kind of get an weird spot here when policing why are you policing has his thing while he's saying things that aren't true. I get it weird. We stop with regards to people saying things that aren't true that they can have an impact on people. And i get it now. You're going slippery slope. I don't a slippery slope. Is one thing you took this and then put it up. There is trending. this wasn't just like a few friends gossiping about somebody not looking good. Maybe putting on weight put this up on is trending and now it is led to her issuing an apology after a week and a day of being call the racists for doing something that she didn't do she didn't go to a k. k. k. ball. And again this isn't a pro vail profit things anti bill profit thing. It's a nothing to do with profit thing. It's a twitter thing. It's a conversation. An american twenty twenty one thing. I hear what you're saying on that it's definitely is you're right and then you can get down slippery slopes when it comes to that but definitely if something like so simple as a person with an not talking about follower caches hundred or some followers can tweet something out like that someone response and then creates this where there is an opportunity where ellie kemper could lose out on job opportunities because of this simply based on a tweet that had minimal factual basis. You're gonna might be isolated issue right now but think about what could happen to someone or something in the future if it's that simple to create a national story if it's just that simple me what meanwhile we are in the midst of president times and so much. I'm not saying because we have clearly shown that we have no shortage of a one for news especially of this variety by wherein the time where there's some much more serious shit going on to be honest and If it's this easy.
"ellie kemper" Discussed on Who? Weekly
"Of comedy is monique. Who is at its monique. It's adele givens Laura hayes and it's samore oh are you kidding yolly the only them as money i know yeah Did any of those women get their own show. This like every person in this list got basically his own show mony mony quals like had the parkers like spilt like mony mony because an oscar but only has comedy specials called monique. I mean like did you get like something with your name on it like that. Yeah yeah there's no like the equivalent for any of that. Because i know that like laura hayes and a delegates have been on a billion television shows but nothing like called the laura show or like the adele given show or whatever. Who weekly is casey wilson. Who are them She don't need twenty nine seconds. Abyss his casey wilson. A who were them. One two three but you know h no. She's on the edge of your mouth. She's a she's a she's a who i think her whole thing. Calling judy greer them. Casey would be offended if you called her them her whole deal. This woman is able to have an acting career and very successful podcasts. Makes her a who. Because it's not like the called like like don't even know like bloop but you want memoir but it's like essays you know it's not even necessarily kind of like the traditional memoir story it's like it's esa essays. I mean that are about her. But you know what. I'm saying if you like i feel so vinnie who's right memoirs with titles that are essentially like slide whistle sounds. Yeah the wreckage of my presence like god. No i'll i'll read this but they're self deprecating. But i think the fact that this woman has a podcast that's really about the bravo franchise like is very much. It's not like it's not like about my own work or like interview other famous people. It's like she has a podcast. That is not too far from our podcast so clearly. Yeah yeah yeah. that's huge. that's huge. That's huge very popular and more popular than our podcast but still in the realm. But also i think like isn't is a. I don't know that we've ever said this before. We we have but like a hallmark of a who is out there and underdog and that sort of always been. Casey wilson's narrative like to to stand casey. It should remain that way. exactly right. Which makes you which character trait like with wilson fan. That's a niche also happy endings. One of the shows of all time to is still one of those shows that people are like. Why don't more people this show and it's like if it remains that way that is what makes it special. I would argue that. You should not want anyone to care about that. Show any more than they did. Because that show will not be special people. Start carrying about it. Even though it's over last call island bobby I'm calling because despite the fact that you talked about columbo all over tuesday's episode you never one in firms whether or not peter falk is a who are them. So peter cahora oregon stark and by peter falk one two three who who i almost said them but i guess like no one under the age of whatever knows who peter falk is. I think it's just. I think he's aged out of them dumb and he died ten years. He was colloquial. So he's as colombo. yeah he's also iconic in in the movie it's a mad mad mad mad world one of my favorite movies of all time share. I'm not a big cut. John kasich cavity stan. "Could far out two million views. Different strokes okay. What here's my angle on this casting right. First of all did not know. She acted but i think that. That's like literally why she might be successful is because she's such a who in the mainstream this like acting thing in this big movies. Weird will not seem weird if anything like nobody will focus that. She's a singer to like and that is perfect. Like there's no distraction. She's obviously good. She obviously auditioned like person. Because i don't think she was hired from clout like i think she auditioned and was good. That's it seems like that's the case. Here right maybe. It helped her. Get in the door for an audition. But i don't think that this got her job is that she's like this pop singer that is critically loved but not very popular right. They don't care about that necessarily so. I think that this is like why this is such a good pick and why she might really launched an acting career off of this if she wanted a big one. She's acted in that. I just we were just talking about good turned up. Charlie turn up. Charlie yourself as a dj. She's been in a couple episodes of that. Okay it was a netflix show. So like she's acted before but not a whole lot and so this is like her big acting break. And it's huge. Because it's john wick. Four and these movies are huge huge. She playing his daughter. She must be playing his daughter or something. Like google assembled daughter show. She could be a villain remember when ruby rosanna john wick movie. She's villain like she could easily be a village be like his partner like holly berry was in one and that was a big deal. Like ruby rose you. You never know. We won't know until it comes out but the point is it's very high profile. Got a lot of headlines for this yet. I think it was like unexpected but in a great way was like oh she's gonna kill you know it wasn't even like a grown. It was like this girl is clearly a triple threat. You know this girl is clearly got it. And i think because of her being a little bit under the radar that she has more chance than anyone to turn this into something. She's not just like britney spears and crossroads. It's like that everybody like safra votes again. But don't mean like everyone's crossroads and was like woo britney spears and crossroads like this is not maybe this th- rena can actually play a role. She can actually act and be taken seriously. I suspect she can. She like her and her videos. Remind me of a dimension to exergen whether just like very artful yeah vary like performance based and acting seems like an obvious step for her. Here's a really quick quiz. So they get really bummed me out. Is that in the newest version of spotify. They put serena. I don't these quizzes. Yeah i don't like this is really really easy. Three leagues bobby. Number number number. But who has more monthly listeners. Bb rexha or rena saw yama pb. Rexha for sure because meant to be was a number one And i and. Unfortunately i think rina's had a number one like that and like maybe rex. Who has twenty seven million monthly listeners. Rena salvo yama has to me must also. Bb's plan the wall off or july party and rina's and john wick movie so to clearly you have different paths as different types of artists so levels of who. Yeah you know mind you both things. I respect absolutely playing the wobble. Fourth of july starring. In john wick to me. Those are both lucrative so i had my first like house guest like while i was away. Somebody stayed here which was so nice. Go don't think i've ever had an apartment where i felt comfortable doing that. I don't know never had a bad apartment but more just like somebody would wanna stay here. And i'm like so happy for the mistake like water. My plants like it made sense. You know for somebody to stay here. While i was away and they actually really enjoyed staying here and one of the things they said was like. Oh your your bed is comfortable. Or whatever and i was like. Oh what an honor actually. It's a helix mattress. I got it from this podcast. Add in that. Made me feel really special. But ultimately that i was like i know i have a frigging comfortable mattress because i also see better.

Fuck that would be amazing. And she'd be like yeah like pussy whipped took his took his face stone out and gave it to me. Like that's so good. What was the story whenever he got it and people were like. Why didn't you turn this into a ring or necklace. And he was like 'cause lose it right he's like what's in my head. It stays there. I don't know what they're selling this summer. I'm just making up different types of styles. But james instrumentally reminds me when i was at your apartment over the weekend. She came out of the bathroom. She looks being goes. My jeans are button up so sorry. I wore a jumpsuit and it had buttons all the way up the francois. I'm sorry did it. Not at least the last one at least the last one. They released the tiktok trailer to buns in the oven which wasn't really a trailer. It was just the result of boredom and money. It's the ultimate misunderstanding of what makes a good tiktok very allah jason derulo which assumes that if you put money the way that you would spend money out of normal video into a tiktok it makes it better somehow when it really just makes people say. How much money did you spend on this tiktok when she even funnier of reaction you know even though what. They're announcing his very sweet like they're having twins very sweet. Jason derulo senior is going to master the art of deepfakes and make this baby drool-o on tiktok in the next six months. Master the art of deepfakes as it's difficult now to do that. You could definitely easily make a baby. Jason derulo it used to cost lose talking like forty million dollars to make the baby do anything. Meanwhile you literally can make a baby. Jason derulo if you want in like five seconds with like twenty five different options gen z. Doesn't know how impressed we were with babe. Technology bape technology was shocking. Those animals were speak gang right like their little mouse. With who a duck. I know in look who's talking. The baby didn't move its mouth. I know i didn't want to say anything i was like. Who anted your vision for us with the terrible song and deservedly came last that different people. They do look very similar and they released exactly the same sounding music and have worked with lots of the same people on a look the same like it's very light mid two thousand ten twenty fourteen to twenty sixteen Lots of white straight british popstars loved like this During that time so Yeah no. Chris isn't just a comment Love you guys goodful phone criticism. What a relief. I was gonna make a medley of all the calls. Because when i tell you there were many there were many but i loved this one and i love this issue because i'm mixed up to people every british person was like okay. You mix them up but we understand they do look alike they sound like they are maybe the same guy but like they're not the same guy it's fine and then i felt better. You know because. I genuinely made a mistake. We started with james arthur. We v. toward into eurovision and james new men and then we went back to james there when we played the clip of him rapping. Free styling about rita ora calling her like a penis or something else rhyming penis with something. Yeah pl some. It was the worst like rhyming. Happiness penis was better than this guy. Did i already forgot his. Wrap his freestyle. But you know it is our job to be the point of clarity when it comes to confusing british james's but as you pointed out here in the dock there are so many who we british james's lay made a brief list of them. The one that least came up in the daily mail. And i did like a cursory search for like james's that were british that were talked about. So we have. James arthur aka. Rita's ex husband your winner. Yes yes and will read izak. So it's like unreal x factor boyfriend. James newman the eurovision guy. James arjun who's gemma collins is x. Up a lot and we talk about him a lot. Yeah god he comes with a lot in the daily mail. He is so annoying. This guy named james norton who's an actor who's dating imaging boots important. Okay james price from love island dot end. James lock from tally the only way as essex. Yeah should've but yes we have. James newman james argentines norton james price and james lock will. You didn't need me. I will be up front with you. We just know this and you know what what was that. Okay james who is her producer. Whatever producers this day. We don't know who james's and i know a significant amount of producers on the wendy williams show he might british we. Don't we just know that he goes by james james james. He's the person. Wendy williams calls whenever the wrong zombie face in her monitor. Oh god zombie face the scariest thing ever happened on that show. James james high immigration lawyer calling in with potential answer to the Lottie loss Tagging joe biden back in the country issue if he came to the us on a tourist visa and her naughty news or scandalous or whatever she took where part of a job that could be why she's not being allowed it. She might have violated the terms of her visa by working in the us and she was just here and supposed to be a tourist. I eat not being employed or doing work the us so it could be that. She violated the terms of her tourist visa. And that's why she's not allowed back in not necessarily for the content of the photos overtaken although that is more exciting obviously so she really should be hacking probably jess and Uscis an ice..

"Me bring you in to tell the story of four little Kimmy Schmidt on and I know you're is taught. You have to be as tourney on this story as I am. Yeah, Partially. So the stories is she's earning his Ellie Kemper. She's a actually she's on the office. Remember hers? Erin on the office? I don't know She's to me like it's the type of person that you just look at and are happy because you look like just two. Seeing her face makes me happy. I don't know what it is. Maybe it's because I'm a big office fan, but apparently the Internet has no such no such attachments. On. There's nobody happy on the Internet. No, everybody's miserable and like we're like, Gosh, I can't understand why we can't solve these problems. Every time you go into social media, everyone's awful. I wonder what the cause could be. Ah, so hold of the rent. But so Ellie Kemper, an actress. She, um is in trouble now. Twitter trouble. She's about to be canceled in the middle in the midst of being canceled by not just Twitter, of course, but multiple large media organizations who have now decided to jump on this bandwagon. Um, the wait, Wait, wait, wait. She's waiting. She's in Twitter Jail. Has she done anything on Twitter? No. Nothing. She said. Anything on people are tweeting about nothing untrue. They have tweeted that she is the KKK Princess. On the KKK princess. Wow. Yes. And you get the types of headlines from and you knows a very reliable source. The Daily Beast. Yes, the offices Ellie Kemper was beauty queen of a racist ball. That's how it's being. Summarized. So the back story is she was crowned the queen of love and beauty. At what sort of sort of was referred to as the veiled Prophet Fair. Veiled Prophet Fair is something in ST Louis. Where that it was created back in the 18 seventies, I believe now little known fact about American history. Everything created in the 18 seventies was racist. All things in the 18 seventies raises, at least exert well, especially in the South. It's certainly most likely, Yes, certainly as it applies to today's society. Even the people we look at, you know as civil rights heroes of the 18 seventies, said things you would not feel comfortable saying today. Yeah, I says right now was. It does appear by all accounts that the early days of this particular fair were. It was created by very rich, white, powerful people, and many of them were Racists. There's some of the imagery of that time again in the 18 seventies. Uh, that was what I would say. Looks themed to seemingly theme towards of the KKK, Okay? So okay. All right. I don't think anyone is going back and saying, like, you know, it was a great A great founding was the founding of this particular event. I mean, it was looked. It's been looked at for a very long time is having a problematic history. Now, over time, as we moved into, you know, the 20th century If he came to be a problem, people started complaining about those sorts of themes and over. You know, eventually, black people became members of the organization. You know, later on, you know the seventies. You know, this is 20 years before Ellie Kemper was named the, uh, the queen of love and beauty at this particular point, right? In fact, the name was changed. Like all of this is ancient history. They changed the name to fair Saint Louis. Ah and Ellie Kemper in 1999 became the 105th. Girl a 90 s. She was 19 years old to be given the title of, you know, to win this little now. Wow. What started this contract? I watched her all these years and I didn't know she was a hidden clan member. Yeah, Yeah, no idea. You'll notice she was not alive in 18 77 not alive in 19. So she says So, she says, Have you seen ever certificate? No, I haven't. In fact, I She may have been born. Who knows? Maybe in Kenya. We don't know We're gonna find that out later s O. So what started this recent controversy, Blood? Is, you know some idiot on Twitter, Of course tweeting. This used the KKK princess and referring to a 2014 Atlantic article article in the Atlantic had excerpts from a book about this particular fair, saying it was problematic. Uh, you know, went through sort of a history of it did not reference. Ellie Kemper of the story was not about Ellie Kemper, but basically said, like this fair is not a good idea because it has a racist history. Then someone digs up. Hey, Ellie Kemper was The winner of this award at this fair, and now Ellie Kemper equals racism, I guess is how we how this thing works now. All of the problems with this analogy. She she what? She was 19 at the time. She it was the affair was not even the same fare was named something else. She was not around in the 18 seventies. She it was not a cake fair at the time. There were black members through, for some reason, wanted to join this. Racist organization. Many years later, in nothing for points to the idea at all that she had any racist feelings intent, and nothing like that, at all is even is even be exactly suit. What White America the racist White America says. Every time you Point out their hidden systemic racism stew right now, even the people cited in the article. Have come out and said No, Ellie Kemper is not a racist. There's no reason to believe she's a racist. The people who said the fair was racist. Are saying, like You don't understand this developed into a ST Louis tradition, and it really had nothing to do. Its roots were bad, but it was not like that. At this point. Also, most of the girls who participate in this particular event are not excited about it. They're doing it for their dads. Their dads have been, you know, may be part of this organization for a while, they're going along with raises these the people who who are saying the organization is right was racist at one time are saying this about her. So, yeah, I think on its surface plays as a very typical ridiculous cancel culture Example. Right. There's no reason to believe Ellie Kemper is a racist. She has never shown any signs of racism. It is a completely nonsensical story based on some idiot tweeting something they knew nothing about it. And then the experts have been just because just know she's not racist. This is not what to assume from this piece. Event and just because this happened what 20 some years ago? Uh, you think that just washes away all of the racism that she clearly Either knew or didn't know on either was or wasn't at the time. You just think it just washes all of that guilt away. First of all, there's no guilt. She should not feel guilty about this. But the second error secondary part and, of course, you know, I shall say she should should not feel guilty about this. I will not be surprised at all. If she's apologizing, though, By the end of the day, we should be clear about that. Of course she will be. This is, of course, the way she's gonna handle it now. Part of the reason I know she's gonna handle it that way, or I believe she will. Is because she's a big liberal. She's no conservative. She's a She's a big liberal. She's been all over talking about. She's not like I would say an incredibly politically active person but has been every every example you could find of her. Being political has been to the left. Her parents were wealthy people from ST Louis and have some, you know loose ties supposedly to some Republican policies, but She's not at all that way and is donated to like black lives matter. So that introduced you to the second layer of the story, and I think part of it, which is interesting to our audience and how we react to it because I think we would all agree on the surface. Ellie Kemper is completely innocent here. And this is Blake to blatantly terrible example of cancel culture. On the other hand, there is certainly a part of me. That sees someone who donates to black lives matter, an organization that is actively creating this world that does these things to people all the time. Cancels them for nothing all the time, right when you are on that side of the argument, and you create and manifest this society in this way and cheer it on, over and over and over again, are we really supposed to feel bad for you?
