Dark journey of the soul into five. Ted talks that's quite amazing in and of itself that they haven't won yet so kudos to you and not only that he's really. He's a motivational public speaker. Who uses his life lessons to start the conversation to give people permission to give voice to their feelings and experiences surrounding depression and suicide and that is so important right. Now because as we're recording at the end of september twenty twenty and i was actually just doing some research on this yesterday that because of the pandemic that a as of at least late june there's been some research done that forty percent of. Us adults reported that they were struggling with mental health or substance abuse. So i think This is a time where really i think. People are struggling. So it's great that you're able to use humor and to be able to help people so let's maybe start from the beginning a little bit and just talk a little bit about your own journey. And how did you get started in comedy where all i was in fourth grade joke and students laughed and more importantly the teacher was hysterical. And i thought. I'm going to be a comedian. Twelfth grade. the talent show nobody'd ever done stand up at the senior town. Joe before clinton seventy five. I did stand up. i want. I went home. Told my mumble. I'm going to be a comedian. Ellen Pompeo Hints at Grey's Anatomy End, Khloe Defends Kim's 40th B-Day Trip Amid Backlash
"It's time for some daily. Pop Morgan. Is out today suggested I joined once again by actress kitchen night polio. Thank you for joining us from Georgia. Loving for having me. Thank you. says. They do even. Just in case. Well, thank you very awesome. I want some. Okay. One of your favorite TV shows may be ending grey's anatomy has been on for fifteen years and Ellen pompeo just made a very shocking confession about what is next she tells variety. We don't know when the show is really ending it, but the truth is this year could be at this is also the last year of Ellen's contract. Okay. So Justin. Do you think they should end the show now while they're on top because people are still loving the show. Grey's anatomy is Kinda Sorta like young and the restless in the sense that like it can go forever and could miss a whole year. I'm back watched two episodes and then be caught up again you know what I mean. Yeah and the answer minds right and almost reminds me of the time. Do you remember when the hills was I going off Air Lauren Conrad was going to walk out the church and it was going to finish and she thought the curtains were going. To close and all of a sudden kristen cavalieri walks in and they revamp did I think Ellen pump? POMPEO is gray but the show can survive without her but can't survive without Shonda see. So Shonda, of course, just send them big NETFLIX's deal and it's to my understanding from what I was reading that she is literally parting ways with ABC completely, which may mean she's not GonNa have our hands on this show as much as she has in the past maybe not at all. And without shining once you've created show. Yeah. But once you've created a show, it's your show and I mean who's changed things happen we don't know how her contract is structured it could just be humming net flicks. One hundred percent but do I mean I think ABC has Shonda rhimes was so early in her career I don't think any see would have given Shonda. rhimes so much ownership over that show where she could move it to ABC but I think that Shonda rhimes, this voice, her blood, her sweat is so in this show that yes if shot arrives went to Netflix she will still get her coins from this show and she will let Iran. We'll be run by somebody else. That's does her voice. Okay. So listen I know somebody who used to write for how to get away with murder and he told me that his job was literally pointless because he says we were instructed to come in with ideas and we always did we came in and we said here's this. Here's that here's this but it always went with whatever Shauna had envisioned. Thank you for your ideas. Those are good and all but. We're going to do this. Appreciates the help but what did you say? No I said well, clearly, she has something you know I know it can be frustrating for someone to shoot down your ideas but the longevity of her career and all the shows that she is there's a reason why they've been successful and I know the Debbie Allen has been doing a lot with race mad at me. You know. You never know she still no matter she goes to net she still you know that's still her show. They can't take that away even if she starts creating another network. One hundred percent you know what? I am all about being petty and I heard about the drama shameless ABC for not giving Shonda that extra fast pass at Disneyland Shame on you. But if I'm Shonda RHIMES, I don't give y'all keep the show going on still get the cash I'm not gonNA. You know bitch and fuss about it. I have two kids got college should be four and I love living fancy like Oprah. We'll see what happens but I know there's some diehard grey's anatomy fans that are just not ready to say goodbye yet. So we will have to wait and see okay Khloe Kardashian has a message for the people who are hitting on Kim's birthday trip. She told Ellen Degeneres. She knows this year has been very frustrating for everyone but there Was a good thing. I did hear that people were upset that we all went out of town but also its her fortieth, and this is something that she really wanted to do for us. It was such a nice thing and being there with all the precautions and everything that we took and being there and how grateful everybody was for the tourism aspect of it and how. So many people said that we were their first party or guests that they've had in months and what it's done like for them to be able to pay their bills or to do. So for their family I mean just hearing those. Yeah. Messages when we were there, it was really a we felt really good and we felt so safe. So safe Wow. You know I knew the minute that first photo went. Oh, here we go. It's GonNa be a firestorm and For me I went to Cynthia Bailey's wedding in Atlanta and a lot of people were giving flack about that I thought about it for ten seconds and when it's a milestone, a wedding or fortieth birthday or something. Of that magnitude, it's hard. Skip it. It's hard to say or I'll just wait until next year. So I completely understand why there was so much backlash but I also understand why you wanted to continue in go on with it because you know sometimes. Life Yeah Kisha. And and the truth is that you know they did everything I think unfortunately, the Kardashian. Sometimes are just a position where you're kind of damned if you do damned if you don't. I'm not mad at him. I'm like, go ahead live your best life you share money you should be able to spend it how you WANNA spend it and they did everything they could to keep people safe in terms of quarantine in terms of getting Kobe task I mean, what more can you ask for it? Some people are upset because they don't have the option to do it, but you know sometimes you you can't just live perilously through the and plan your trip that newest you.

"Ellen show returns to day and she is not holding back she is facing all the drama and ugly accusations listen to this. . As, , you may have heard this summer there were allegations of a toxic work environment at our show. . And then there was an investigation I learned that things happened here that never should have happened I take that very seriously and I want to say I am so sorry to the people who were affected. . We have made the necessary changes and today we are starting a new chapter. . The truth is I. . Am that person that you see on TV I am also a lot of other things I sometimes I. . Get sad get mad I get anxious I get frustrated I get impatient and I. . am working on all of that I am boss of two hundred and seventy people two hundred and seventy people who helped make this show what it is two hundred, , seventy people. . Still Bracing for. . All I want is for every single one of them to be happy and to be proud to work here. . I, , Still WanNa be the one hour a day the people can go to escape and laugh. . Okay. . So that's her monologue for the show airing today she kind of touched on everything. . So how do you feel about Ellen after watching that I? ? Mean I watched the whole thing from start to finish and the entire time my recurring thought was just like. . Damn killing this right now like she is just such a true professional. . This is where she shines right and you know I think she is what she said seventeen seventeen years I believe I don't know how many seasons that is but for her to be on our air for that long to be as highly popular as she has been I'm sure that things were behind the scenes I'm sure there's a Lotta people that no longer work there that are probably like, , okay this sounds like a lot of bs but. . Like it was set up in a way that Ellen trust fortunately for her was not in a position to take the fall and I really do feel like the way she addressed everything i. . smiled halfway through I realized she is just so damn good at this and look I really liked the way she sort of broke it down into categories where she's like I said kind of the I said be kind to one another because of this reason, , she reminded everybody the reason for that which I didn't even remember. . And I think she was really smart is that she went into all of the different categories of like we're all really complex human beings. . Sometimes, , I'm happy sometimes I'm mad sometimes I'm sad sometimes a good mood sometimes I'm pissed at the end of the day I'm a woman in this business for twenty plus years I am the boss of to hundred and seventy people. . I'm not gonNA perfect interaction with every single person and I hate to pull this car because I like to think that I'm pretty even on this. . Front, , but if this was a man I, , don't think we'd be challenging her as much as we have been and I'm not saying that things were not done an era of not saying that she has been perfect and it clearly shows that she needed to take accountability for a lot of stuff that went down when I think she did a good job for that and I think this is going to go under to go under the bridge and we're going to keep watching Allen and not think twice about it.

Now I noticed of the day naughtiest the days Wendy Williams who bashing TV host for looking quote discussed in on television a- including Wendy have been forced to broadcast from home. And Wendy does it. They look that good. She sharing some unkind opinions about her fellow hosts who present themselves on camera looking a little bit different professional hair makeup without the light. The producers looks a little different even I Garrett. Look a little different. We're on the radio so better not see speaking of competition. Wendy bashed hosts saying they look disgusting. Adding that I'm just saying this is a nice guy. What do you think I totally disagree with the way? Wendy's thinking on this. I mean you gotta give some leeway in the sense of you don't have hair and makeup you know at your arm's reach away those those people that are in the studio. You have to work with what you got and some people can do it. Others can't and so. Who are you people here? But you look a little different. Can I say at home than you do? At your studio to know who looks exactly the same when you meet them on the street or in the studio exactly the same Ryan seacrest his hair. It's growing little money. Perfect I booked to hypocrites in the lobby of a building in midtown and even without hair and makeup but maybe he was in Arabic but without lights. He just looks dollar. So what do you adore of the day at Shutout from Ryan for just bid adorable and with that? It's time for on nomenclature of ROB when people cannot be kind to you. It's time to say goodbye so we all deserve a squad of people cheering on but the only way we're GONNA get a team like that is if we start cheering on our friends to you. GotTa learn to be excited when your friends have really good news because the real reason people cannot be happy for each other is because they're not actually happy for themselves so when you have friends that are not kind say goodbye. Garrett can you get people out of your life? That are not supportive can you? I've I've learned to start doing that because all it is is a people just weighing you down and you can't have that life is too short to be weighed down by people that just like. Oh today The sadness of it. I have trouble though I do like do. I do take my own advice. But I've had friends who have been so negative for ten years. I just got used today. It's just Wa. "I can't even I know Ellen Degeneres just because she has. Purdie level of sarcasm. In tumor. And I appreciate that, because that's me, and I think I will personally, I think I have the perfect level circus of humor, although most people think I have way too much Sark's chasm or smart ass. Nece is opposed to humor. Be I think she has the perfect balance to where I love everything. She does it just do. Yes. And so I watched the shit, and she like what she does the scaring people all the stuff she does everything. She does. I just think like that is be so cool yet. And so that's why would pick would be Ellen Degeneres, because I just like some up the absolute wouldn't make my life is been very. My life has been very tragic. They're not getting dark, but it has been. So, and I just think she would put the perfect spin on it. Yeah. To make it funny. Yeah. At the same time and just be like it just be hysterical. So I want her doing. Nice. So as this, like a I don't know how many seconds that was, but I think I came up with Julia Roberts really because she's very girl next door. I ego Ella. Yes. So I think I would want Julia Roberts, because she can be fierce when she needs to be Erin Brockovich, I was thinking the same thing, that's what she can go from. Erin Brockovich to Pretty Woman. Yes. So you go from horror to lawyer, or to or to step mom, who is? Oh, steel magnolias zoom and main, you. Right. So, yeah. I think in in just for the record, you can make me cry really easy. Yes, you can I daughter and then went really quick. So my daughter if I If were. I were. I just I'm just off story. Let me let me, let me go. Let me go. Don't so on girls cry. I'm going to be mad at you. I'm just saying my daughter parties. The always go up to Amy is so funny. My daughter's bachelor a couple of weeks ago, my one daughter wants up to schools. I'm like, what are you doing? Where are you at? She goes thoroughly row back trying to make me cry actually this Syria, because all the head of contest to haul the Amy how much they love her as an aunt, because she's out there in, but she's like we walk. You were ever Amy's just starts bawling. It just sterile sorry evening related. It is. But it is worked in the past, but it does not work that night. These said he got I got teary eyed. Breaking me tonight. Have him think she here now it over the bottom? I don't think horizon now. I don't think so. Okay. I don't know. Hannah seems to was you were like right there. I was I was like dope. I'm not letting you girls do this to me tonight. So no, but yes, when your girls, tell me how much they love being on the best eat ever. They never asked for. Door. We didn't ask. Kim. I love it. All right. So suffering. I have another question for you. Okay. Okay. If you could party with any celebrity who would you want to party debtor alive either? Any any and we do have wants to relation Namie figure this our last up. So it can't be their character. Yes. Oh, yeah. No, no party. With Jack Sparrow in Amy's, like, no celebrity I'm like damn. Anyway. So it has to being actual celebrity and it doesn't matter whether did life. God. Okay. So I'm gonna go with Jack black OMB as is. His I, I love his voice, I loved nations. D I love his acting. I love him as a human being such a good person as hard as so big. But he, he has like this personality feel like is energetic, and like all encompassing, and I want to be in that run up and hug him. I, I just I feel it did best friends, we're not. But we could be, you know that documentary that he did that he went over and I'm totally unprepared for this. So I don't know all the I have. We went to another country and he literally was just trying to do good in another, like more with him and he found excuse me. He found a little boy who had been like eight years old, and the little boy lived in a garbage. Like a, a pits, LEGO where they put all the garbage. Oh, yeah. And they scraps through it to see what kind of computer he is the only one who is taking care of his family. And he does this every day he ends up sleeping there. He knows shoes on, and you're going, dark me. I did. But it's such a great. It is amazing. Check black was like if there weren't laws for me to take this kid over to United States. I would've stopped him right now. And it was the one time on for Jack black because I think he's hilarious. And I love all of his movies, literally. Was like the only one that I was like, oh my God. He such a great person to like he wanted to adopt. This kid by the end of the documentary. I was bawling my eyes out, of course. Daughters. Get them from there. It happens. But no, I totally agree with that, because that is somebody, I would love to. Hang out with drink with get him loosen up. Get inside of his rate, Brennan Healy. He has a lot more to save. And like just the funny somebody chose. And that's it's of which was the whole point exact sorry cast, but that's why are talking? Great. There's so much more to him than I think that the public actually knows. Did you guys know that he was in bio, dome him and came up to, you know way? Yes, I'm trying to remember shore. I sure in friend line. There's no. Brinda Frazier was no. That was Asset. other. Other feeder man. Yeah. Job. Brendon Frazier, especially as I'm taking the myself, okay? He deter. All right. That's waylon. At Stephanie's on here for like twenty minutes. So I show this time we have around here. I know. Right. Are just should anybody could hit the bell? I did it on my soul. Oh, thank you. Show anything. I can show anytime. Well, that's what so many way. No, I don't really I, I can I can come on your show. They can also come show. All right. The fucking question, rusty or blizzard blizzard, da. Yeah. Oreos and that bitch gab lizard, then was like doing more. All right. I make it or pick a different one. You didn't answer it, though. Ablett's her. She I've mix them both together. I'm a factor. Like there's something there's another one on the back. But I don't wanna look at well here, let me look at it. Let me know this. Okay. Do you don't know? Okay. So biggest fear this is actually. Again little serious injury entering the dome. So my biggest fear is heights, which is no secret to anybody. Who knows me? Oh, see now I do have a healthy respect for gravity as I put it high. Say it's always mine is death. Biggest fears death one percent. Okay. I feel like that's probably most people, I think that ultimately, like when we look at these other things like Bure spiders, fear of drowning, you're ultimately, it comes down to, like, we think these things are winning hills. Right. Because people in the and they're like, okay, I'm going to die. I'm just gonna die and nobody wants to die. Well, let me to do and I felt really sorry for them. I will have to I'm, I'm going to be devil's. All right. So you guys are saying, like all the fears go back to most dying. Not, not all. Okay. Well. My fear is not of heights is not dying. My fear of heights is the suffering getting hurt. Like when Villier look shit if I let it be quick and easy. That's fine. But it's the suffering, and the Lear. Voting my buddies brokerage. Yes. It's the jumping out of a plane knowing you're gonna die, or a road or rollercoaster and bar is not going to hold me n and it's gonna fly off. I don't care to nation. I don't. I don't care if I die like I'm content if if it's my time, it's my time, but it's what's going to happen between the moment of your engine is your if you live through it. Tragedy. Which is a moment of the tragedy to bow before it gets scientifically most people who fall to their deaths have no consciousness by the time like anything happened. Yeah. They say that the kill most e even the fall your brain. Basically shuts down you go into shock. So thirty go if you ever fall. So then giving some, yes. She just solved all your fierce. No. It didn't. Of course it didn't. I am trying to try for good. You tried and I respect that this way airplanes. Because I feel like I'm gonna die. I just don't get Hella a giant thing in the air like it's so heavy and you're just going through the air and I know science, but it still doesn't make sense in my mind it doesn't play. So what's your something? My worst fear. I think you know, before I thought it was heights. I always thought like heights like the worst thing ever. And then I challenged myself, and I showed myself that heights were the worst thing, and I really looked into myself. I'm getting a little deep here. But I think my biggest fear is to never feel like I'm loved. Which I know sounds really. No. That's no, no, no. That does not sound stupid at all. I have this little tiny part of me. That's, like, no matter how much love I give like ever received that same kind of love, 'cause I know minus unconditional. You know, it's bottomless, I've never gonna run out. You know what I mean? So, yeah. That is no actually no actually happy shit. No perfect fear. I think you just totally outdid me with my me. Trying to justify my fear of heights. Oh to anybody. I'm just. No, no, no. That is like perfect. Because that's what we were trying to get from the drunken confession box. We want our stupid silly, silly shuts. Yes. So like when you're a dare devil, if you're out there, like, oh, whatever on their much I will do whatever I want. There is still a deep fear with everyone. And that's my point. So I would love all of you get all of our listeners to go onto our Facebook page, unless you're in tell us what your God. That'd be. That would be really interesting. Yeah. We'll we'll throw down there. What your diva spirit and stuff like that because we love action, not only well, it's be intriguing to know what everybody else fears. But you can also if you have a legit fear, like you needs want help, you will have more outlets out there for people to contact you. And tell you I had the same fear this how I got over it. If anybody out there can tell me how to get over my fears of heights. I thought about if I jump out of a plane would I ever even get into a plane? No. It's not gonna happen. I'm you push out to your house. I have no idea how to get over my fear of planes because every article I read of how to get over planes or more safe than cars, and I'm like, yeah. But if you get Chris, I that are odds of surviving Kirk wish that a plane, I try, I try to get over my fear of heights with, like going on a roller coaster. Well, then what happens I go in. A panic attack it that makes it even worse. Now, I really don't wanna go that roller coaster. So I would love to know if anybody out there listening has, like this is what worked for me. Let us share it. Let's share it. Let's, let's see what your fears are. Let's see if any other listeners have any suggestions. One hundred percent of that'd be cool. We always want like feedback has well, of course, it'd be interactive shady involved. Like next week, we're supposed to go life. Woo. We'll come back next week, glazier moving. Ryder dive inches. I know that's me. And you don't want Bill. I gotta ask you what, why is it writer day?.

She transition Chaz jazz that's done. Did I did, I think and then kind of dropped out? I somebody tweeted me, listen, Malang song, you You know. know, we're never going to get this time back again that time where if someone was a teen star the had the singer song or someone who's popular they had to sing a song, and was it team. Gotta let it out. Yes. I never would've thought about that again for the rest of my life. She must've been fourteen a workout video. She was also prime balding, Brian very badly sexualize very young age, like this thing of, like will will just put her in cycling shorts and a sports bra. And then we'll ever lie down and do scissor-kick on her side. And it's kinda like okay. I think this is a kind of sexual thing. I don't know how much robotic exercise thirteen year old girls really need. I would say just walked to school and plays volleyball. You don't really need to full Jane Fonda never thing. I remember once being. I remember once being at, like a blockbuster video or something, and I was the head the whole Jane Fonda thing again this is like pre internet porn or you know. Yeah. And so I remember at some point in the Jane Fonda series. D video number five is like four pregnant women, and I was like a blockbuster like held it up. The guys go. What kind of sick fuck feeds off to pregnant women? He said, I think so workout video okay that come on. It would do that. Who would do that? Yeah. So listen, Milana was fifteen years old. And it also has a bit of that thing that we talk about. I don't think I think most you keep going. Why is Alissa Milano so angry? She had this great life of privilege and she's angry. And then I started to kind of drill down on it, and it was like, why was David Cassidy of horrible alcoholic and why was rosy this way? An and why was Ellen that way because anytime you try to stuff somebody into a happy mode or pop idol mode, or Cyrus? Right. Right. It more it gets infected festers pushes out, weird negative way like it just doesn't work. So you have David Cassidy just singing like pop bubblegum teen teeny pops. And he wants to rock, like, Jimi Hendrix, and now, so then we sit around and we go, you've made so much money you'd never worked at Dane your life..

Other the best of the best video of, of the year is the, the baby talking to his father. Is that on Facebook? Watch Facebook watch. Yeah. It's everywhere using that. No. You haven't seen that one. What you're missing. All right. All right. And you find it. Yeah, I could play it. You wanna watch it? Oh, you do want to watch this, this is this is from YouTube. This is a a vertical. Video recorded apparently with a somebody's smartphone. Oh, I you know, I've seen it without audio which you got you got you got to have the audience. So they watched whatever. Yes. Okay. Did you understand it, though? No. Okay. Oh. Night. This one this now the. Yes. I don't know Nick sees because of this. Exactly. Yeah. Right. Don't break net, in your over the same stuff. You know what I'm saying? I think that. I go somewhere else. But don't break. Don't do here thing. Yeah. So the kids talking symptom. Yeah. Really? Gravy. Right. Who says the internet's a bad place? Been watch more than fifty five million times. Oh, it's up there. Many times on Facebook deprived. I haven't seen them on Ellen Degeneres. He had. I've had that conversation, a million time. So to me, it's like, well, yeah. Okay. I guess people who don't have kids don't you know, like it or something, I don't know a hard hearted people. Yeah. I'm a hard hearted person. It's cute, cute kid kid. So anyway, it's on that, that everybody else is on Facebook. Watch people are watching is watch and there are now starting to win. So the bigger, the bigger things interest me. So I think Google has been standing in back kind of San Facebook. They're all the hot seat. We're not the same Google people say to be able to don't call us platforms. We're different companies. Right. So now YouTube is causing trouble for Google. So they're in the same hotseat Facebook, spun on. And you can't that the newspaper industry goes after Google Google on that seat again. So it'll be Google for a month or two and that'll be Facebook again. And then, so this is what you get if you don't have a Facebook account when you go to Facebook. Watch is sign up for Facebook original shows, popular videos, and producers create you love. None of these I, I've heard of Will Smith. I don't really care about his bucket lists. Steph curry, okay, great. But I can watch him play basketball to on game. You can't watch scam without it scam is awesome. What's scam? We've talked about that, like two years ago. That's hey, yeah. Yeah. That's all kind of live teenage soap opera thing you could car. That. Good. Like I said, I got too much stuff on Netflix already went to watch thousands of women, and it has really bad link off. Netflix is dark I try to go watch stuff on difference. I went to Athens downloads stuff, men, everything the everything there is depressing and dark have dark is really good. You know, German show the world is kind of dark right now. Jeff people aren't. Her by media what German show. Cajal. Dr dark is Leo. You know this one, I haven't seen it, you know, you've seen it dark the German, it's like it's like stranger things. Oh, I did see that. Oh, right. It was an and then watch it. I dubbed English. This is the worst I've ever seen in my life German. And I said, I don't understand it, but it's a lot better show. Oh, yeah. It was good. It was basically German stranger things in German, you would like Jeff. But you know they're just came out today. We're talking about music, the Martin Scorsese's documentary on Bob Dylan's rolling thunder revue, which I remember seeing was a seminal moment in my young life..

Now, I think everybody knows this about me because I always talk about it's Paul and Ellen Degeneres. Obviously, Chris Hemsworth. But anyways what you're getting a little sweaty. When Chris Pratt was around at the Tiger Woods him to who. But yours is. Jessica Biel, right. Yes. Jessica Biel is just I think she's just gonna he is stunning. Surely. What is it? I. I'm blanking on her. Name. Dare me though, one of the signs of start. But it's it sounds a stark. I just don't know her name. Okay. Well, she's your what does she look like she in the show? She has fair skin police. She's a head. Beautiful girl, and in the I think in in real life. She has blonde hair. Anyway. My celebrity crush. I always say that to me I'm like Jason tarmac. Andy Lee Kok s where the heck does lion. King fall into your relationship with Jason. I love it. But I can't help it. And I wanna know. So I think we talked about this last night on the live part here. The story twice in a row from us. So I apologize. But it's that so many weird things. I I read a book about the universe. And I think I've talked about this on the podcast before where all these signs were happening between us when we met. And I was like I think the universe is trying to tell me that Jason like is supposed to be my life. And he told me I remind him of Nala from The Lion King. I was watching lion. King at the same time. Jason was watching The Lion King, and we both didn't know it. And then we start putting each other in our phones as Simba and Nala. And then it just became our thing. It was just like thing. It's also removing and it's your favorite really do know. And love that too. There's there's a celebrity out there that I'd wanna look like it would be a ton of stories that correlate back to Simba Nala. So just ran with it. You're you're in his Nala in my phone still and with the with the little emoji. Yeah. I think that's pretty cute. My sister made us mugs acute. All. Yeah. I have those are awesome. Also there there's a symbol among and then a best anti ever mug. Just. Ashley Dobson asked. If you could have one wish granted, what would it be the piece? Oh, gosh. I mean that is a good one. But I don't know one wish one to me the one thing I've been saying lately because I've heard of a lot of tragic stories that are just heart wrenching. If you have your health, you honestly, have everything so something correlated to just healthy family, friends and people around you, I would wish to cure cancer. Oh god. That'd be cancer. I just think that. Ellen Degeneres singlehandedly forgiving him on behalf of the LGBTQ community since we don't even know your name. We don't agree with you the who like him the gays you're not right on with the LGBT. Not. We actually asked you to get out of the Uber a longtime ago leg, this is not Uber pool. You don't get to just jump in. When you want to enjoy out when it's not that appealing like SIS, we forget sometimes that these people that came up in the media in the fucking nineties are lack like Ellen his fully sixty like we forget that as much as as much as a blockhead her takes our she's fully sixty like, I don't expect better from her. But at the same time to with the amount of money, she's paid it just feels like the consequences are so dire. Well, it's like I get what she has done in the past. In the nineties past regarding the community. But in the full twenty nineteen I don't need you to advocate for somebody. That people are not advocating for into actually pretty much make up or stretch the truth as far as you possibly can to support your argument that is literally pandering to the audiences that are like actually ruining a bunch of America right now thinking we can bridge. These are not this Ellen Degeneres and Roop hall are both LGBTQ people that came up in the nineties new fully have not known how to adapt their politics two twenty nine. They're like we've got this cash amber gonna continue this beheading as I'm thinking things. It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. And also, the Ellen Gema games. I just tried. But looks like it's just one like to beauty ad and like something for like, you know, Honda or something like, I I'm not I also don't also can't take really that much credit from somebody who's TV show was just a giant advertisement. A blind woman is suing beyond dot com for alleging the singers website is in violation of the eighty as so if you don't know what the is it's the American with Disabilities Act, and she is claiming that beyond says website is inaccessible for people with visual impairments. He has not apologized like he has not actually done anything to show that he actually wants to work with us. Coming Hart is also just said, I do not want to do it. So ellen. I don't know what you're doing. And what those lies Moore. But okay, you're already a cop Ellen Degeneres because you've made a career handing millions of dollars to Instagram gays and. Viral mom's instead of people who might actually need the money. If you have taken the high road of fairness and ni- level headedness and used it to avoid culpability for any of the extremely interesting ways, you dole out specific funds to specific kinds of people like member those Instagram models that quote unquote came out as gay and she gave them like how much money how hunt million dollars or something. Crazy. She gives them checks starting at like forty k plus going up to a million also that mom who was probably a racist in the tobacco mass got a bunch of money got to be on the Ellen show. Fucking all of these celebrities. She's a show for Kim Kardashian to go on in spew lies. Oh, yeah. She loves Kris Jenner, and Ellen Degeneres has famously said that she's too rich to be relatable. So why are we actually giving her a platform to single handedly allow all of us to apologize for the way we've treated Kevin this is how you forgive him. This fucking kidding. This is how you know. She is one hundred percents gaming like she said in this New York Times interview, which I think came out just only a finished her last episode last year around that time, she send this article commemorating the twelfth or something like that. She was you know, it was that eligible Marissa's. Nice nice. As you think some New York Times interview opinion piece talking about how she's not going to ruin your daytime show. How Porsche wants to like stay home, and like do some other things and their brother wants to stay and she doesn't like being in the spotlight shows like the peel maker dance, and she's she's trapped into character. There's just this long. List of her just being like a suffering woman. She's the highest paid the highest paid like top twenty comedians, our top twenty celebrity being paid of all time at this moment. She's gained paid. I think upwards of like eight eighty million a year or something insane. And as a consistent paycheck, by the way. Plus, I'm sure even more than that investments. And how it just those how should not relatable because she's rich and then at the same time, and I just it was just so obvious. She's complaining about this New York Times piece that is going viral for all these like all the stands of hers. Anyway, they're like, oh, maybe she isn't exactly what we expected, but just so, you know, December eighteenth specifically just sixties after this. She does have comedy special in a brand new NBC flagship game show coming out at the same time. What the fuck, I know. And there's in and the kind of just called relatable, I know. And I saw some trailers, I know she talks a little bit more about our New York Times is a cop. Ellen Degeneres is a cop Porsche Rossi is a cop sympathizer..

"When we rehearsed it every single time. I said, I'm gay. I would start crying every time. You know when you're gay. You don't say to someone I'm gay like, you're you're not in a gay bar, and you don't have to say it because they're gay too. So those words never come out of your mouth. You just never say that sentence. So to say that sentence out. Allowed in front of a whole bunch of people is scary as hell and emotional and empower which is why most people cry when they tell their parents, tell anybody because it's a very you don't want to let someone down if you're telling your parents, you you're saying something that just verbalizing just saying those words, I'm gay. It takes a long time to say it without emotion because it's really a assist Gary thing because society has drilled it into us that we are wrong. So to be strong enough to go against that to be strong enough to say, I am doing this. Because it's the right thing to do because that is the label that you've given me, and you know, again, I don't like labels. But if that's the label you're giving me I am going to own it. I'm not fearless. I didn't do it because I'm fearless. I did it in spite of the fact that I was scared to death in spite of the fact that I cared deeply what people thought of me in spite of the fact that I needed to have a career. And so it made me really proud of myself and really recognize. That I was not as weak and pathetic as I thought of myself and became bigger than I ever thought, it would be bigger than I wanted it to be in it overshadowed my talented overshadowed who I am as a person, it was only meant to be just be honest, and it became this. This snowball this avalanche of just got bigger and bigger and bigger. And there was no stopping it. So it turned into people not liking me because they thought that was like somehow political all of a sudden, and it was the last thing I wanted to do was the list to be political. I did Oprah's show. I did the cover of time magazine. And I did a Diane Sawyer interview. That's all I did. That's all I planned on doing. But because it became such a huge cultural thing and forty five million people watched it, and then people all around the world talked in article was written in another article was written in the article was written on that article. And then everybody got so sick of it. It got to the point where even Elton John who had never met in my life. Elton John's said, we know you're gay shut up and be funny. You can imagine how much that hurt me..

"Into the Mike and cursing, and I wasn't any of that. I was very quiet. I was more like Bob Newhart at the time. I was more very dry and very quiet, and it was just really tough to follow to really loud people. Usually because that's what comedy was then I'm going home. It's like midnight or one in the morning, and I'm by myself, and I have to get on a plane the next day and go someplace else, and so it was tough. But even when it was good. It was very lonely, but to walk onstage and create an energy when your word say something, and then they're laughter comes back. And you're your word say something, it's it's an amazing feeling. So that was very addictive and then bad nights. And there were many bad nights in the beginning. I just go home and cry and I'd think I'm never going to do this again, this is horrible. And the good nights were just like this is the greatest thing in the world. To be on the tonight show was a huge deal for your career. That was your one spot. You're one shot for a comedian. That's where everyone was launched. You know, it was it was Robin Williams, and Eddie Murphy and Steven Reid and everybody was launched on on Johnny Carson, and he decided on the spot if he wanted to talk to you or not he did whatever he wanted. So comedians supposed to just come out do their five minutes say thank you and go back, and then they go to commercial break. But if Johnny decided he would call you over and you'd sit down it was a big thing. But when you'd see that it was so rare it was just like a big deal, and it was a big annointment to your career. And he had never done that with any woman on that had been on the show. And I remember first time I was booked, and I couldn't they bumped me because Robert Goulet was on. And he was singing the song memory. And he kept forgetting the words, of course, that was funny because he forgot the words to memories. So they just he kept doing it over and over again. And then I I was just standing back. They're going. Yes. This is funny. But I'm now bumped I think it pushed me to work harder. And it, and it also made me cry. You know, both. We I'd never lost anybody. I mean, my grandfather died when I was a little girl, but I didn't really know him. I wasn't close. So I didn't go to the funeral, but my girlfriend had been killed in a car accident. And I was we were living together at the time. My brothers band was performing and we had broken up. We thought a lot. She was trying to get me to come back home. I acted like I couldn't hear it. Because a music was too loud. I was planning on moving back in. I just was trying to teach a lesson, and I was staying with some friends. So I just acted like I couldn't hear and I was being really dismissive of her. She had left before us. And as we were driving home. We saw a car and it was split into. And we heard sirens behind us. So it had just happened. Nobody was there yet. And we just kept going and I found out the next morning that it was her in the car. And so that of course, made me feel like I should have gone home with her that night. She wouldn't have been with. That person I should've stopped. Maybe she would have all kinds of things, but a lot of guilt. I think it made me realize how fragile and how how easily you can lose somebody. I mean, just literally in an instant, she just was gone, and it was really hard. But it really shifted my entire focus in my life. I lived in this tiny basement apartment where you couldn't even stand up fully. It was the the ceilings were so low. It was like you couldn't stand up, and I had a mattress on the floor and the whole the basement was infested with fleas. There were just fleas everywhere. And I remember thinking, it just seems so ridiculous that this young twenty three year old girl who I was just living with was gone and fleas are here. And so I just thought it would be great to just pick up the phone and call up God and talk about this..

"And they said will you get on stage and do something funny. So I brought a Walker and fries and a shake and I went on stage. And I said this is my first time being on stage. And I'm I have to admit, I'm a little nervous. And I didn't know it was going to say, and I realized I hadn't eaten all day. So hope you don't mind I stopped and grab something eat on the way. And and then I would say, but what I wanted to talk about was, and then I would take a bite and while I was to put a finger up, and then just go that's good. That's better. And then I would start the sentence again. And I ate the entire meal and didn't finish the sentence. And then said my time is up. I've got to go. I'm so sorry. People enjoyed me eating onstage and not talking. But someone in the audience saw me and said would you play a coffee house that there was no comedy club in New Orleans? It's time. So they said would you play the coffee house at the university? So then I had to come up with something else. Couldn't eat every time. So then I played a song on piano that. I said I wrote when I was in the hospital, and it was just me screaming and hitting some chords. I would say things like I just want to try out some new material, and I'd hold up a piece of fabric, and I would just show it to the audience, and it was just like that's what I did for the first few times on stage. I just did stupid things that really because I just didn't take it seriously. And then it just kept growing and growing, and and then I out of nowhere comedy club opened up a New Orleans, and I brought a tape cassette tape and asked the guy to listen to it and he hired me. And I was the emcee there every night. And then I enter. A contest called showtimes, funniest person America, and I won for New Orleans one for Louisiana. And then I won the entire competition. Once I got that title than I could actually get booked in clubs, and they could say that I was on Showtime, and I had been on television. Plus, it was the funniest person American who's not going to go see that person? You know, they were very disappointed after they paid their ten dollars. Because it certainly wasn't the funniest person in America doesn't even have an act together. I had like ten minutes of material. And so to have ten minutes of material and to have that title, of course clubs or booking me as the headliner. Of course, they're going to put me, and these people that that had a lot more experienced a lot more material a lot more time aren't the headliner. And I'm the headliner. They were bitter. They were angry because I didn't deserve that. I hadn't paid my dues. I hadn't been on the road. I hadn't. So I had a lot of angry people that didn't think I deserve to be up there. And maybe I didn't you know? But where are they now where are they? Now, I moved to San Francisco. To try to do comedy there. But you couldn't get paid for that. Because there was so many comedians at the time so many big comedians, and you were lucky to get on stage. Sometimes I would drive to get five dollars. I mean, it wasn't even worth the drive. I was just it was crazy. I was making five dollars on a Saturday night. That's what doing comedy was. I hated the travel. I was always on the road on the road and on a plane all the time by myself. I'd get picked up by some guy who works at the club. And they put you in either horrible, motel or a condo. And you're sharing it with these other usually men because there weren't usually two women on the Bill, and I was I wasn't open. I was closeted. So I didn't try to act any other way. But it I certainly didn't talk about it. And it would be hard to get on stage, especially in if I'm in Oklahoma or someplace, you know, in a in a strip mall, and I'm following two guys that are just like doing, you know, homo jokes, or whatever and just and screaming..
