"Of a building large here on 93 WNBC. Well, with about 40 something days ago into election over 19 unemployment Suren ce face for funding may or may not happen. Lots of stuff. Got to get to and chat with our good friend Kevin Brown, the president of ST Chamber of Commerce, Kevin, my friend. Thank you very much. Me with this Always good to have you here. Well, thankyou, Bill towards good to visit with you and your listeners. Eso telling my friend How is business doing here in Indiana? A cz we interview like, No, the 6th 7th month of covert 19. Well, The answer is, it depends on what type of business you're in or talking about. National economists talk about a K shape to recovery. You know, the early on there was like they're going to be a U or of the, but it's turning out to be a case shaped the meaning that some business is recovering very rapidly, and on a steep curve. Some really never even slowed down, depending on the nature of their business. Ah, well. Others are the lower part of the K that are still struggling and their viability. Long term is still very much in question. And those are particularly in the restaurant and hospitality and convention businesses, Airlines, etcetera that people are not participating in nearly as much as I would be normal because Does of ongoing concerns about the virus. Well, I know Indiana's unemployment has been solely creeping back down again Comedy and that's a good sign. He was going to ask you, you folks seeing that as well. Yeah, Absolutely. And I think that is definitely a sign of a of a strengthening economy overall. Um, but again, you know, it varies. I mean the people shift from taking Vacations and involve air travel to driving vacations, the RV industry and Elkhart is going gangbusters again and looking for people. Obviously, our friends, Eli Lilly have been stalwarts doing great research and no producing, um, products and then doing testing for Hoosiers and all kinds of things. And so they're doing very well. We've seen the The profit reports on anthem They're obviously doing extremely well. But again, others are struggling. No written articles. This week's IBJ about some small businesses. One was ah transportation of various patients from nursing homes and others that are seriously struggling, and I don't know whether they're going to make it till the end of the year are hoping for another round of PPP long One's from face for bill in Congress that is looking less and less likely to happen, because attention is now being shifted to Supreme Court appointments. And so overall, we're seeing improvement, but it is great variations among different businesses and different types of industries was going to ask you about that face for possible flooding relief package. Is that being caught up in now that the Supreme Court See that needs to be filled. Is that going to suck up all the oxygen out of the room? Well, it appears so. And it's It's amazing because Abdul in May or June and even into July, I would have told you that there was definitely I would've bet money. There was going to be definitely a face for bill that would have been harder to negotiate, and then the cares act. But we all thought those was falling that that it would get done during the August recess in particular, Um and There were some real sticking points, limitations on lawsuits being one that the business community and Senator McConnell wanted on. That was kind of his line in the sand Speaker Pelosi and Senator Schumer. They wanted big dollars for state and local government particularly help those blue states that maybe have not managed their finances as well, such as our neighbors to the West, and so there were Great divide. But there was still a lot of pressure being put on by individual members of Congress, both Republican and Democrat. That hey, we need Teo. You know, our people are hurting. Our businesses are hurting. We need the states for act this additional relief package to be enacted. Um, and so there was pressure being put on. But now that we've had the unfortunate passage of Justice Ginsburg all the Tension has pivoted to the battle over whether and win that seat on the Supreme Court will be replaced and it has. It's not over for face for bill, but it just seems very unlikely that that will get done now before the election, And so consequently, um, the states are not going to see any additional relief and stay like Indiana, which has been holding back much of its cares at money. Over half of it, hoping for some additional flexibility on how they use that money was going to have to rethink that strategy and figure out whether the best uses for those funds that have to be spent before the end of the county or given back to the federal government, and we certainly don't want to do that. One of the allowable uses that we think would be very important is Tio shore up our state's unemployment trust fund. Which just got down to zero within the last week or so grandiose a chamber of commerce with us on the program. They talk about Indiana's Mrs Climb against Kevin's going to ask you about that. I want to say Indiana predicts the bar about $400 million to pay on unemployment benefits. First of all your thoughts that nbr you worried that we end up in a situation where we were Ah, few years ago, India knowed more than a billion dollars. Well, yeah, it was actually $2 billion during the great recession. That's been most unfortunate we have when we that represent the business community. The chamber and a few other business organizations working with the Legislature and the Department Workforce Development Welcome administration have worked very hard to build back up the balance in our state unemployment trust, and we were nearing a billion dollars right before the pandemic hit. And way went from, I think in late February early March, having unemployment claims of about 2500 new claims a week, Tio by the time we get to April, it was well over 100,000 week, uh, just skyrocketed, and consequently that created you know, as businesses were required to shut down or were heavily impacted. By the stay at home orders in the pandemic that forced a lot of people, many of whom have never experienced unemployment before into the rolls of the unemployed. That caused a rapid decline in the that balance in our unemployment trust on and it's being drawn down throughout the summer. And here within the last week or so, we we had zero and it's a bit sad. Someone that's helped work toe. Um, build that back up, but we're there Now. We've We've borrowed money. Um three or $400 million to pay claims for a song is that money will go. I expect we may have to borrow again before the end of the fiscal year. And yes, it is unfortunate. And we do worry about getting into a situation where way, borrowed a few bar forward two years and then you have to pay that money back with interest and that that that essentially becomes attacks on businesses at the worst possible time. It is possible that I mentioned earlier that some or even a large portion of the cares. Act money could be moved over to our unemployment trust fund to shore that up and paid. Borrowing back for the sum of the back, And we certainly think that would be a prudent used because, as I said, this is the worst possible time to impose a new tax on businesses. And we'll have more with Kevin Brennan bring just a bit to say chamber commerce, listening to the weekend edition of Ability large 93 WNBC any Smith here for Indian a foundation service..
City turns flood-prone properties into a trail system
"To rivers run through ELKHART Indiana and in two thousand, eighteen heavy storms caused record breaking floods. The damage was extensive we had fema come in of course I. think that was kind of the wind up call for a lot of the people in the city and the administration itself saying we need to prevent this from happening again in the future. Jameson Czarnecki is director of the ELKHART Environmental Center. He says to hold more water during heavy rain. The city has been updating its combined sewer and stormwater system, and it just continued an effort that began in the ninety s buying out property owners who live in the flood plain. We have a trail called the river greenway and it's one hundred and twenty Acre greenway system that we purchased a lot of the homes from and then remove those homes and then turned it back into riparian zone to prevent some of that flooding. He says resonance can also help by keeping stormwater grades clear and planting trees and rain gardens that absorb brain. We do a variety of programming throughout the year with rain barrels, discussing how people can make their lawns more habitat friendly, more preventative for flooding. So as Elkhart experiences more heavy rain residents can stay safe and dry.

Another great off the beaten path report but I my lifelong traveling companion and my bride Jennifer. I'm a deer Hello Michael Well. We're about ready to hit the road again. This time we're going to be cruising around southwest Michigan exploring some out of the way campgrounds and one of my think is located on a great little inland lake. We're GONNA CHECK OUT I'm looking forward to see I am too because the weather is perfect. The heat that we have had in the mid West has been replaced by beautiful blue skies and temperatures in the low to mid seventies today and lack of humidity. No humidity Kinda cool. At night we can sleep at the windows open instead of the air conditioning on the RV but I think the heat is coming back for the weekend. Yes I think it is I know really have the heat out. West Holy Cow. If you looked at the study death valley, I think set a world record ever hundred and thirty degrees. Can you imagine that? I wouldn't want to be there. We wasn't a hundred and fifteen. Yeah we've been I think we were even up close to one hundred twenty and when we were in. Bahrain in the Middle East one time. And that was pretty miserable. A lot of our military folks stay up there. Yeah. Southwest. Michigan's where we're headed, and then we're going to go down to Elkhart Indiana the RV capital of the world. And we're going to work on a little project based on one of you or ideas. My idea was that we get some netting to keep both from trying to push his way in the front between the two of us. If you've been watching our videos, you see that Bo are Norwegian elkhound is used to Kinda stand between the two seats and the sprinter based lay down. Yeah. He could actually lay down in there. Well, it's not quite so roomy in the cab between the two seats in our new. Ford Transit based Wonder Lisa Travel Vans unit so Kinda. Then this battle, he wants to push his way there he can't. He can't turn A. Good it's just a total safety has and we get dirty looks from him all the time and he's mad at me for taking a seat. So we're going to he likes to be the COPA. So we're going to Jennifer has an idea and we're GonNa, we'll tell you more about it. We'll. We'll do a video on it if it works. If it doesn't work, we'll just pretend we never had brought this up but with a metal gate that we. And and it was kind of bulky and you don't want that banging around and figuring something soft won't scratch anything or damage any get some challenges because it's gotta get mounted just so but. We're working with some friends and we'll. We'll tell you all about that as we get as we get down there. But that's that's our plans for this week hitting the road and doing some camping in some fun stuff and working on Jennifer's idea you know you might have come up with a real solution that they ended up selling who knows yeah we could call it the Jennifer. The bonus most people put their dog in a crate and. A crate though now, but he's a harness and you know and just attach him securely back there. So don bounce around but but first step F is to get him from going up front and trying to push his way in. We're also really excited we're. Planning an extended trip to Michigan's peninsula. But we're going to kind of wait a little bit everybody's camping right now last hurrah before school and work in the fall and whatever that's going to look like during this pandemic gone for controversy that's out there what's open? What's not but I have never heard of so many people I've been talking to that are going to go up to the upper peninsula. I know we have to stop talking about. And Yeah Everybody's Oh. We're going. Oh, that's out. Now you've had your chance come on. It's our turn last governor gave you a certificate for promoting tourism, all their Michigan Yeah Yep I'll actually we got that from a friend of ours who worked in the governor's office, but the governor signed. Yes, so So camping in southwest Michigan visit to Elkhart. That's another media agenda, and then I think right after Labor Day in the crowds hopefully because EPI- is very crowded right now. Hopefully, the crowds diminish a little bit after Labor Day and then we're going to. Spend as much time maybe till first frost up there. So September little bit October we're going to get up and have a lot of fun up in the UP. We've not been up there for about a well not. Since January winter camp out. So we're anxious to get up and have some fun

Hong Kong protesters attempt to restore peace after weeks of violence
"Of thousands of people once more poured into hong kong streets and supportive pro democracy protests yesterday breathing rain clad in black and waving umbrellas. Sunday's demonstration was largely peaceful from hong kong. Natasha khan has more well. We just saw dr eleventh weekend of protests here in hong kong and really it was in contrast yesterday to recent weekends where we've seen more bloody eighty radical battles between police and protesters spread across the city. We saw the airport shuttered last monday so having that scene of hundreds and thousands thousands of peaceful protesters of all ages walking through city streets rallying in victoria park it really seemed to many people like a starting point to show that this move and still has a big <hes> swell of mass support but also that many still believe in peaceful protests to try and convince the government government to start dialogue and look into making some concessions to the protesters amounts. Natasha says that now the ball is in the government's court when it comes to the protesters demands man's the protesters have five that have really sustained movement <hes> they include the fools draw this contentious extradition bill that sparked off this whole thing it includes an independent inquiry into police handling of the matters in the last few months <hes> amnesty for arrested protesters the removal level of a declaration that a protest on june twelfth was a riot and lastly. They're looking for a greater democratic reforms and universal suffrage and so now what we're seeing is because there hasn't really been any concessions from the government since june fifteenth when the government suspended the bill. We're oh really looking out for signs. The government might be willing to come to the table just to start dialogue. It's unclear if that's going to happen but it seems that the ball is in the government's court yesterday. President trump said he thought it would be very difficult for the u._s. To reach a trade deal with china if the country responded with force to the hong kong protests are i think it'd be very hard to deal if they do violence. I mean if it's another the animist square. It's i think it's a very hard thing. Did you do if there's violence

I twenty sixteen PBS a special questions for Obama a town hall of end in Elkhart Indiana during the QNA with the members of the public revere carrier, air conditioning, employees stood up and said. Oh, blessed Obama. I'm representing the steelworkers union local nine thousand nine hundred nine trying to find out. What do we have left all of our jobs are leaving Indianapolis? I see that you're doing a lot of things. But in Indianapolis, there's nothing there fourth. I mean, what's next? What can we look forward to in the future is far as jobs, employment, whatever because all of our jobs have left or in the process of leaving serve some of those jobs of the past are just not gonna come back. And when somebody says like the person, you just mentioned who I'm not going to advertise for that. He's going to bring all these jobs back. Well, how exactly are you going to do that? What are you going to do? There's no answer to it. He just says I'm gonna go she ate a better deal. Well, how what how exactly are you going to negotiate? But what magic wand do you have? And usually the answer is you don't have an answer the estimable Barack Hussein all demonstrating his complete utter ignorance in matters of free market. Economics and his total willing ability to tell a guy who wants to know what our jobs coming back. Never your jobs are never coming back. You wonder why Donald Trump got elected people? Remember this? The president United States comes to where they live and work. They're losing their jobs. They say Mr President one of our jobs coming back. What can you nothing? And the guy telling you is going to get your jobs back. What's it gonna do wave? A magic won't who who's going to negotiate with those like this. The evidence is abundant Rocco saying oh clueless. Barack Hussein oh, no respect for what really makes the US economy work. And that is the American people he thinks of tinkering elites with levers and knobs and policies unelected people in the deep bureaucracy of Washington, they are the people that make the country. Nope. They're the people that also have no idea what they're doing. And they have just been told stand aside for the last two and a half years. And you see what happens when Washington is pushed out with Rush.
School "rescues" leftover food for kids in need
"Cafeteria food is trending this morning as the school cafeteria food now, we'll dental Elkhart Indiana. Oh, I'm sorry. That's cool. The works. There may spread to other districts around the Brown, the

"How much work does was tuned a half years because that was the first thing we started to try to collect because we realized it it'd be hard, and we were uniquely suited to make the book because we wanted to start collecting processing photo. Of in collect processing photos of things that people wouldn't. Weren't going to be likely to be able to go and get all of a sudden. So we have processing photos in the book of like how to process how to cut up and process things ranging from while pig, wait till dear Mahi Mahi. My crabs. Turtle turtle beer and we had pictures of the beaver, but it didn't make it. Nobody be retail recipe is in there. Frogs how to process for. Yeah. I'm not even kind of like scratching the surface. Yeah. How to process cleaning process bullfrogs? How to clean and process? Squirrels how to clean and process rabbits a thousand ways to cut game birds, meaning how to spatchcock birds ought to cut them in half breast them plucking on. Skinless boneless breasts. All of this information is in the book and that book over here, man. You're just admiring the beautiful pictures. Oh, man. I love it. That's definitely what everybody does the first time. They open it and skim through it every sort of looks at the pictures skims over the words, so we started with collecting all these processing photos, and in the meantime, like dirt myth has tons of photographs in here because he took a lot of what we in the working on it. We would call them the lifestyle hours. So there's a lot of like lifestyle or pictures in here. Another section that we put in here. In everything. So like early when I mentioned how it's laid out whereas laid out into these chapters where it goes big game small game waterfowl upland birds freshwater fish saltwater fish, reptiles, amphibians shellfish and crustaceans and was like an extra thing called basic and not so basic sauces, sides, sauces sides and accompaniments and each chat was broken out with like an introduction of what's going on kind of gives like general thoughts about the thing all kinds of beautiful pictures. And then we have this section that we worked on a fair bit called the nature of the beast in what I try to capture in the book and explain to people is that I don't. Generally think that? Well, let me put this way. Sometimes like you'll you'll go online. We'll put up a thing where it's like a recipe for an Elkhart in someone will say, oh, do you have a recipe for a moose heart in kind of an operating thesis in this wild game book is that? That the. Species of animal that we're talking about when it comes to say horn and antler game that this species of the animal does not matter as much as the cut. Do we talk about this on a recent podcast episode? I don't know about recent. I'm sure that we've covered it at some point. But meaning of shank recipe when it comes to horn and antler game say and in the case of shanks, also black bears and wild pigs. The shank recipe is a shank recipe. It doesn't matter if you have a shank from an antelope mule deer whitetail, it just doesn't matter. It's like cooking shank cooking shank..

"Thing won't tonight Donald Trump sure does do a lot of campaign rallies more than forty of them on the schedule in just the three months before the bid germs loan. And until very recently, he could count on every single one of those rallies being aired in full unedited on fact, checked unquestioned by his enthusiastic media partners at Trump TV breaking tonight. President Trump stands strong amid the cavenaugh controversy with a rousing rally in West Virginia isn't Trump, of course seeking rally at Elkhart Indiana. She. What did you think Mark. I think it was pretty done good. Judge what you think of it. Why thought it was vintage Donald Trump. I think that he gets energy from the audience. They get energy for him. He was everything tonight. The president was on a tear was it was the, you know, the best of kind of the campaign in. He reminded everyone. I beat all these candidates. You watched it here live the president of the United States fired up a pack crowd, and we linguists Virginia and another raucous rally taking on his opponents and touting a long list of accomplishments. He loves being out with the people. He loves you what this is, what he's built for. Let me just say, I know what it looks like when someone on cable news is trying to muster the energy to see the same thing with one hundred time. Now the president is built for rallying and Trump TV is built for transmitting those rallies without the slightest bit of Shane. Remember this one in June Trump rally live and only on Fox News..

"Week in review the drive by media know, legacy media to mainstream media, the democrat party all said. Then it was not possible for economic growth to ever be above the best that was under Obama, which was one point eight to two percent. Obama had one out wire quarter a little over three. But that works really is circumstances there Obama's GDP average one point eight percent at the at the. The upside and everybody said it can't possibly get any better than that. And it's fully to think. So it's a new day in America in those days of rabid capitalistic, economic growth over just like Obama, and the media said the jobs that we've lost manufacturing. Otherwise would never ever be coming back. Obama goes out to Elkhart Indiana. Telling people in the campaign year of two thousand sixteen not to think of their jobs coming back that Trump's lying to them about it. Asking what's he gonna do wave? A magic wand. What's the policy? Ain't gonna happen. Ha. I don't want you. False hope out here. Well, we've got an economic growth now sustain a four point two percent and climbing the stock market's approaching a new record high because Donald Trump. Last night. The deadline that he had set. We have a new trade deal with Canada to be added into the deal already. Reached would make oh is what gets rid of NAFTA just as he said he would do just as he promised on the campaign trail, the new name of this thing is the United States Mexico Canada agreement or US C. A Trump has been speaking about this for the last half hour outside the oval orifice, and he is in a fine fine mood. As is everybody gathered there, it is a major major achievement. Again. It is something that the democrat opposition. Which includes the media all said could not happen. It couldn't be done. It was a waste of time to try as they said scratching their heads. Why does Trump care about trade deals anyway? And they've never understood the Trump voter carrying about trade deals. They've never understood the connection Trump made and maintains with voters on trade, and it's not just NAFTA. It's any number of other things Jared Kushner has come in for a lot of credit on this deal, which means he's going to be in the crosshairs, right along with Brett Cavanaugh about whom we will get you in due course. But the NAFTA news is going to be buried, which is one of the reasons why Trump is spending so much time talking about giving the drive by media. A tough time in ignoring it, but for trumpets electoral politics, in addition to making America, great again, as he defines it something he promised something he claimed could be done that would be done, and it has been done, and it is to the benefit of people that voted for the benefit of millions and millions of Americans in countless numbers of ways. And he's making sure that as many people as possible are made aware of this. It had to kill the Washington Post to write about this headline Canada agrees to join trade accord with US in may call sending new NAFTA deal to congress. So we're renegotiating NAFTA, Canada, Canada, which said they wanted no part of it. They asked in at the last moment. Hey, hey, don't forget us. Can we be part of this to Trump said come on in a reporter just asked Trump? What does this mean? The tariffs Johnson. Hell, no. Tariffs. If the European Union continues to send unfair trade deal related products into the United States. We're gonna slap tariffs on them. Remember, how the drive bys and the Democrats said that slapping tariffs on Chinese goods was going to provoke the cons. It couldn't possibly be good. At might mean. The end of whatever arrangement or making what the North Koreans it might destroy existing good relations with the comms. Breaking news China to cut import tariffs on wide range of products China. The tricalm's will cut import tariffs on textile products and metals including steel products, two eight four eight point four percent down from eleven and a half percent effective November first according to the TriCalm finance ministry yesterday. Calms have pledged to take steps to increase imports. That means products from us this year amid rising tension with some of its biggest trading partners such as the United States. Bottom line trumps said he was going to do x y and z and ABC in trade. And if we started a b and c I think he's pretty much closing in on C. He has rebuilt the economy. He has created new jobs as economic policies have. The elimination of onerous regulations, which is an ongoing thing continues to show vast benefits for every ordinary American who makes this country work. And it's something he said could be done that only he could do. And in fact, he was the only one that thought it was necessary to do. And it's now done here is the president today at the white House Rose Garden, we have three sound bite. I have long contended that NAFTA was perhaps the worst trade deal ever made since NAFTA's adoption, the United States racked up trade deficits, totaling more than two trillion dollars. And it's a much higher number than that with Canada, and Mexico it lost vast amounts of money and lost four point one million manufacturing jobs and one in for auto jobs. Most about twenty five percent of our auto jobs, even more than that throughout the campaign. I promised to renegotiate NAFTA. And today we have kept that promise for the last half hour the press maybe even longer than maybe forty five minutes. An extended statement. Only recently started taking questions I'll tell you what Trump is doing here, which is something that I've long advocated. He wasn't just announcing the deal got done. He was teaching why it was important including to the drive by media who for the most part are clueless. Don't understand capitalism. Think that it's a big bed Meany and Trump is taking the occasion of all this attention to actually explain how trade works, and how the United States has been victimized over the course of many many years because of American leadership believing. Well, you know, we're the super power in the world where the richest we can afford to take an assurance now. And then promoted good relations with our allies and Trump stood up and said, there's no reason we should have our back pockets ticket. There's no reason that we should just let people have whatever they want from our treasury. There's no reason we should feel guilty about being powerful and wealthy at doesn't mean because we are so much wealthier and powerful that those who are not have dibs on what we've produced. Those days are over that way of thinking is over. And he went through the whole process and explaining how trade works why it is important how the United States was getting the shaft, but more importantly, why it matters to ordinary everyday people and their jobs in their careers. Including farmers and a number of other type people about whom Washington thinks not very often. And thanks very little. It's been a masterful performance. There is no question that Trump not only knows what he's talking about. He is the architect of what he's talking about. Any gotta run rings around people in this in discussing the process and in discussing the substance and the details of this new agreement. It puts anybody else that's ever tried this to shame everybody that has the chance to listen to. This is going to understand exactly why it was important. What happened why it happened to why we benefit and why that's good? And you know, teaching as well as announcing is fundamental. I believe that's why the Republican congress nineteen Ninety-four, actually. Squandered its majority after a while it's because they stopped teaching what they were doing. And why as they did it made the fatal mistake of believing the Republican victory in nineteen Ninety-four meant somehow, the majority of the country and overnight turned conservative. And so when they began to announce this cut that cut this reform that reform a lot of people didn't know what they're talking about. I got scared to death. At lesson has been learned by none other than didn't all Trump. Here's the next bite. Trump saying it is a privilege to trade with us. This kind of thinking we haven't seen we've seen thinking of both parties who who believe that that it's up to us. To earn. The respect of others. It's up to us discharged them that we don't intend them any harm. It's up to us and Trump's turning this one hundred and eighty degrees around it's a privilege to trade with us. We're the world economy. We're the future of the world economy where the future of world, freedom and liberty. So the days of the the America as the world's piggy-bank are oversteer will also impose new standards requiring at least seventy five percent of every automobile to be made in North America in order to qualify for the privilege of free access to our markets. It's a privilege for them to do business with us, and I'm not talking about Mexico que. I'm joking about everybody. Everybody it's a privilege for China to do business with us. It's a privilege for the European Union who is treated us very badly. But that's coming along to do business with US Japan every country, it's a privilege for them to come in and attack. Check the piggy-bank. Yeah, it's a privilege to come down. And I as I say, it's folks it's it's a new way of seeing ourselves and our country without the need to make excuses without the need to apologize. We really we really haven't as you can see evidence inside your this on our own culture of the achieved and the accomplished somehow feel the need to apologize for it. Or to downplay it as some sort of new definition of humility rather than having it used as a teachable moment is something inspiring. Is this Trump points out we want every country making their country. Great we want every country putting their country first we want everybody doing it that way that's the whole point for everybody to do better. But not by piggy banking the United States by doing it on their own. These kinds of things are just they're they're foreign the United Nations types diplomatic types. Here's the final bite. Don't don't forget who told you. This was not possible. Do not forget. It was Barack Hussein oh who said none of this could be done fear. Remember, the previous administration said we're not gonna have manufacturing jobs anymore, essentially, we're not gonna have not gonna make things anymore. No, just the opposite. Could it be manufacturing powerhouse at allow us to reclaim a supply chain that has been off shored to the world because of unfair trade issues. So there you have it. It's it's not a sexy subject. Nafta never was commanded a lot of attention. It was very controversial. When it was ratified in the in the early into the mid nineteen ninety s but in terms of being a subject that if cable news announcing to two or three panels tonight on NAFTA trade deal, they're not going to have a lot of people. Tune in. It's just the way the world. So Trump is making sure with this extended event in the rose garden today that people get its importance in terms of its importance as election issue. It's crucial. It is. I wouldn't say crucial. But it's it's very important in terms of Trump being able to say to his voters stick with me. I told you. Oh, I was going to do this. I told you it could be done. And I told you the United States was gonna come out as the champion in the subject of world trade don't doubt me. And in that sense. It's confidence inspiring that Trump left alone in the Oval Office free and clear to be who he is will mean a bunch of great things happening for the country, and this can be parlayed into any number of campaign ads. For the upcoming midterms because it's going to be about a lot of things not just the cavenaugh nomination and other things this is going to be a fundamental aspect in terms of turning out, the the Trump base. Now, the drive bys there was a Trump had a simple ask here. No questions about cavenaugh during the NAFTA thing and info babe from the drive by media persistent in trying to start questions about cavenaugh, which has led to a discussion about Trump now talking about the FBI investigation that I have. Jumping the gun a little bit in on on this comment. But. From. Friday afternoon, the minute the minute wheel earned that the F B. I was going to be called on to do. Another weeks worth of investigating..

"Is the rv sector recreational vehicles why are they booming right now in elkhart is just one example of this that's a great question so a lot of the boom if you look at the rv sales industry in particular and you can kind of break the rv industry to a few few different parts one is arby's fails but then another part is rv rental which obviously overlap slot but it's different too and that's where i largely focused with our share but you know the rv sales kind of the boom bust cycle of rv sales if you look at it is very largely a function of the economy as a whole and very much a function of oil prices which makes sense if gas up to four dollars a gallon all of a sudden taking the family across country to go check out yellowstone becomes less of a budget vacation and all of a sudden the cost really goes to the roof so it was a great piece i i love seeing the wall street journal give give l cars the lover deserves l cards an amazing place obviously the rv industry is just fantastic it's it's a joy to be a part of to help people really at the end of the day what everyone in the rv and sells it's family time which is like there it's hard to be you know more excited about a product in an industry that you're you're in so i think it was a great piece but i think that it actually kinda in a way miss the mark on what kind of i think the real story is i think the real story is actually buried a little further down an article in i think it really gets pulled out by a quote from shelley moore who's the urban planner of elkhart and she kind of talks about kind of that boom bust cycle of rv sales in itself there's a quote where it says shelley moore the elkhart urban planner said that the city is in a race against the clock unquote to build a more diverse and sustainable economy you know really would you have and what i think the article kind of misses the mark on that you know the the mid west and the middle american economy is if at the end of the.
