"And we loaded up. I had no idea what to expect. We showed up to his house and he had a dog out back in a kennel by the name of Jim and I fell in love with this dog. I was like, we're going hunting with a dog. I had no earthly idea. And it was my job because I was so into this dog is to have a little kid in good run is to keep up with the dog and it when a dog is treated, you know, I'm kind of like semi handler of the dog and what's wrong with adults, you know, have all these funds. So my first memory, you know, lifetime of honey. My first memory is scroll hunting with a dog. My first hunt ever on Elk river. It was just that day on, I was hooked. That was like, well, this is hunting. Number one, this is with a dog number two. Lots of moving and I can talk. I'm in. And this is a deer hunting. Great table fare. I am in, man. Yeah. I mean, it's interesting to see what the first memories like you really remember as a kid that carry over into adulthood and that kind of drives that passion. Because you are a 100% the best I know at this squirrel game. On the backside of this, we're going to take a jump in a quick break. And we're going to get into the equipment. We're going to get into the guns and what you need and we're also going to get a little bit. I mean, it's Tim, right? Tell us is from he is at timney right now doing this. Right now, now I'm going home Thursday, and you can bet your bottom dollar Friday Saturday, Sunday. I will be scrolling with dogs. So you got me back to get home. I hope so. But we're going to jump in here real quick. I hear from our sponsors and then we'll pick up back up the squirrel talk. All right, Frankie is a great supporter of ours and I talked a little bit upfront about the franchi affinity series. Well, they have an affinity three sporting. And this is where function meets Italian craftsmanship, all right? This is fine lines. This is everything you need in a sporting clay's gun. In a semi auto fashion. So I'm telling you what, two and three quarter inch to three inch. But it's got a lot of great features to it. It's got at the evolved ergonomics grip. So it feels right. We just got one in. I've had a little bit of a chance to get to feel it. And I can't wait to take it on the sporting clays trail. So we're going to do a little shooting with it, and I'm going to tell you right now, it's got everything, it's an inertia driven gun. So check it out, the franchi, affinity three sporting. All right, we're back with Chris Ellis of timney triggers he's at timney right now. He's raring to get back to those hills of West Virginia as we speak. Heck, you know what? It's Christmas Eve, so I'm sure he's probably been in the Woods already today. But let's talk about the equipment that you use on squirrel hunting and what makes what makes a good squirrel gun. So Chris, I'm going to let you take it from here because when I was a kid, it was iron sights and let lead fly. Yeah, you still okay. And that's a cool thing about scrolling. You can be as versatile as you want to. But if you get into squirrel hunting, especially let's talk about with dogs first. So when that doll is on the tree and that dog is barking. I like to have two or three people with me. It's the most effective way to find the squirrel. And I don't like them to get away. So I want to set us up for the best, the best chance because I'm working for my dog because my dog is working for me. So what I'll do is I typically outfit two people with scope 22s, very, very accurate 22s with good triggers, by the way, because that matters extremely. And then I'll have a flanker with a shotgun in case the scroll decides to timber or decides to get out and try to get back to his Dennis as quick as possible. Then you just need to scatter gun and when you're shooting, you're shooting a scatter gun. Triggers at that point, they matter, but they really don't because you're slapping. You're not precise. You're using a slug gun or a turkey gun shotgun where it triggers really do matter, but yeah, so a scope 22 is phenomenal because you may look up with your binoculars and you may see just the ear of that squirrel, or you may just see that, you know, the vitals of that squirrel up in a big old white oak tree that may be, you know, 60, a hundred feet tall, and then now you've got to use your body and you got to use what you brought if you brought a prayer of sticks, if you can find a backpack, you can lay down, you can lean against a tree. You've got to make a very accurate precise shot to be able to kill that squirrel up there that distance. And that's where, you know, if you want your gun to break the same way or hit the same place twice, you're going to have a trigger that breaks the same way price. So that's why having a good trigger and a scope 22 elevates your accuracy. And then why I think it's so important for kids because, first of all, kids, a squirrel hunt is fun. They can talk they can run, they can chase after the dogs and the wiggly butts in the tails and all that cast. And it's pretty much a target rich environment, too, because unless you are in no man's land, you're going to run into some squirrels unless you're hunting in a weird weather pattern or something like that. But a good scope 22 allows the younger kids or first time hunters and they get the muscle memory of target acquisition, point of aim, good trigger control, and they get to shoot 8 a lot in real hunting scenarios compared to

The Democrat party is in trouble folks. They can't spin it. So what are they gonna do? They're gonna double down on nasty and meanness. We'll.

"It's free talk. Live six zero three two eight three six one six zero. If you wanna join the discussion a six zero three two eight three six one six zero with you tonight. It's aria angie and bonnie and we were talking about the january six insurrection. But that's not the only thing that's happened in the last year we're talking about. There was the the michigan kidnapping case. Where these this group of people were they. The media's characterizing it as kidnapping her which i think is interesting seraing. These people wanted to arrest her when they wanted to execute a citizens arrest against her and the media realizes that oh arresting people kidnapping them but not when the police do it. Apparently so the michigan up in cases a major test for the administration's commitment to fighting domestic terrorism. It's domestic terrorism when citizens arrest politicians and crucible for the fierce ideological divisions pulling the country. Apart in the inky darkness oaths going to be good the inky darkness of a late summer night last september. Three cars filled with armed. Men began circling birch lake in northern michigan looking for ways to approach governor witnesses three bedroom vacation cottage subdue her using a stun gun if necessary and drag her away and these were citizens. Yes i like where this is going. This is the first you've heard about it. I've never heard of that. Yeah so these people were planning to arrest the governor of michigan for her cove. Nineteen restrictions may be active. I only overheard that. It was like a kidnap thing. So i'm i didn't hear about either. Well that's an arrest right. It's just how which words you choose to describe it. I would say that it was an arrest them not a justified arrest. I'm not saying it was but there's no functional difference between kidnapping and arrest one vehicle. Stop to check out a boat launch. Well second searched in vain for the right house in the thick woods bringing the lake. The third car ran counter surveillance using night vision goggles to look out for cups and hand-held radios to communicate with the others earlier. They scoped out a bridge over the elk river just a few miles away scrambling down under the span to figure out where plastic explosives would need to be placed to blow it sky high. Wow what were they blowing up a bridge. Oh wow that would slow. Police response giving them in time to escape with the governor. I never heard of the details of their plan but it was apparently pretty pretty thawed out. The governor had infuriated by imposing kovic lockdowns among other outrages. Either and they wanted to either take her to lake michigan where they could abandoned her on a boat or whisker to wisconsin where she could be tried as a tyrant. I don't know anything about trying to abandon her own a boat. I had always heard. They wanted her to be tried as a tyrant. They plan to take her to wisconsin for that. Yeah i was going to say does wins concentra. Politicians never heard that before. Illinois's dot illinois does and i would. I would recommend that. I mean just about every illinois governor ends up in jail. I don't know how many actually it up in jail but that's crazy. Why would you even run for governor. Because of power what they ended up getting charged with corruption and stuff like that a lot of money. I have no idea. I just know that it's a thing where illinois governors end up. Yeah with some regularity. And why can't everyone you know. Trust charges on their governor. Why does it just have to be certain states. Is it just like a state thing. I don't know may just be an illinois thing everybody down with. What's going on in iraq war veteran in the group demanded to know when they ended their recon mission well past midnight at a campsite where they were all staying. If you're not down with the thought of kidnapping someone else replied. Don't sit here interesting. But who knows that. That's what they really said. The men planned for all kinds of obstacles but there was one they didn't anticipate the fbi had been listening in all along for six months. The iraq war vet had been wearing a wire gathering hundreds of hours of recording. He wasn't the only one a biker who traveled from wisconsin to join. The group was another informant. The manhood advise them on where to put the explosives and offered to get them as much as task would require was da an undercover fbi agent. Look if someone says. We put the explosives if less plan to kidnap the governor. And this is where we're going to put the explosives on this bridge and i can get you all the explosive. You want there's your federal agents so was a man in one of the other cars who said little and went by the name. Marc so it seems that two of these three people. Did i understand that correctly. No three dot three people. So at least two f. b. i. informants slash agents were there just over three weeks later. Federal estate agents swooped in and arrested more than a dozen men accused of participating in what i federal prosecutor called a deeply disturbing criminal conspiracy hatched over months in secret meetings unencrypted chats and in paramilitary style training exercises. None encrypted chats. Yeah they love going after those seven of them and that's part of the issue with encrypted chats. It's not protecting you. If there's an fbi agent or multiple in the chat seven of the men who had driven birch lake that night would end up in jail. The case made international headlines with the justice department touting it as an example of law enforcement agencies quote working together to make sure violent. Extremists never succeed with their plans. Prosecutors allege that the kidnapping the governor was just the first step and what some on the right called the big booed a long awaited civil war. That would overthrow the government and returned the united states to some supposed revolutionary war era ideal. Which would then immediately become a just like the united states. Did the definitive differently. They say they were set up the audacious plot to kidnap a sitting governor seen by many as a prospect a precursor to the january six assault. They always call now now. It's an assault on the us capitol. By hundreds of trump's supporting protesters has become one of the most important domestic terrorism investigations in a generation. The prosecutor has already emerged as a critical test for how the abundant administration approaches the growing threat of homegrown anti-government groups. Well there's nothing wrong with the homegrown look if your government is producing home antigovernment groups senior government is doing something wrong more than that though. The case of panama is is the ideological divisions that have driven the country over the last several years to some the fbi's filtration of the innermost circle of armed anti-government groups is a model for how to successfully forestalled. Dangerous acts of domestic terrorism but for others is an example of precisely the kind of outrageous government overreach that radicalized people in the first place and increasingly flash point for deep state conspiracy theories. The government has documented at least twelve confidential informants who assisted the sprawling investigation. I can't imagine they had that many people that twelve of this group of people must have they arrested twelve people and they also have twelve confidential informants who were assisting with the investigation. They were twenty four people. Presumably at least twenty four fifty percent of the people were informants. What we don't know exactly how many people there were. But fifty percent of the people if they were twenty four and there were twelve arrested in twelve. Were what we don't know how many people were a part of it but weren't arrested okay or part of paramilitary training or whatever. We just don't know. How do you not know that you know one of fifty percent of the people that you're hanging out with our federal agents. Do you not how you not clued in on that. Because they're not actually principle. I think these people got what they want or what they deserve because they plan to do something violent. You you deserve.

"No, that's that's cool. That's good. Yeah. Just scoff at it. Call it simplistic, even though it's worked in the past, and it's worked in other areas and anybody with half a brain knows One of the things we need immediately is more police more law enforcement on the streets right now, yesterday last week, but No interest in there's no interest from the DFL. They just scoff at it. Call it simplistic and move on with their day and cross their fingers and hope. Another six year old doesn't get shot and we're going to keep saying it. You can do something today. And it's not activist groups, community groups, ex gang members going in there and trying to appeal to the goodwill of the individuals that are keeping the streets shut down and George Floyd Square and the blocks around it under siege. No. After three days of writing In Minneapolis, the National Guard came in and got things under control. Community groups are failures at enforcing law enforcement. Do you think there's a sucking money out of the system? That's all they're just getting paid? You're getting paid a lot of money to do nothing. To do nothing. Paul Novotny represented at Elk River Right now, we need to stop the bleeding. We literally need to stop the bleeding. He's absolutely right. We are in a crisis situation. Right now. This is not a time to talk about policy proposals and reimagining public safety and investments into new groups and creating all these new layers of bureaucracy and offices of this and managers of that, with all of this money is not the time to do that. The time to right now you Need to stop the bleeding. You have an open wound in Minneapolis that is festering and all you're doing is looking at it. There is an editorial came out of the Star Tribune yesterday. The city wants to gentrify George Floyd Square. The same old forces that shut out working class people in favor of privatization are trying to get their way It was penned by two City Council candidates. And a candidate for the Minneapolis board of estimates and Taxation. I've read through this thing twice. It's pure and utter garbage. There is no accounting for the lawlessness that's going on the homicides that are happening. The drug abuse right what this is doing for the city of Minneapolis as a whole. As a matter of fact, what's really interesting about this particular piece, right? It's a really lengthy peace. But most of it just tries to, uh, criticize and vilify privatization and and the government and all this, you get towards the end of it, and this is what these activists and Candidates had to say. For the past year, George Floyd Square has been a sacred space, a place for healing and a place for building community run by community members. What's the future of George Floyd Square? Under corporate leadership? No. Close your eyes, and you can see it condos, upscale restaurants and chain stores generating wealth. That's what's nice for the select few. While community members are priced out, public services and schools remain underfunded and racial inequality intensifies. Can you imagine it there? Because we've all seen it before. Yeah. You know what Your alternative is? Trash, lawlessness, drug abuse, freedom and liberty, trampling and homicides. I mean, that's seems to be the options in front of us right now, and we want to keep the status quo. Well, I want to keep the status quo over apartments and coffee shops and restaurants, apartments and coffee shops and restaurants sound lovely and there's an admission in here. That's astonishing. The very less sentence. The future of George Floyd Square is a crucial battle in the fight between corporate forces and the people. Which side are you on? I thought it was about justice. Mhm. Mhm. It's a crucial battle between corporate forces and the people. I thought runs corporate forces. No justice. No peace to people run corporations are nothing but groups of people. That's all they are. Yeah, it's insane, like literal groups of people not not what the city of Minneapolis calls groups of people, which are gangs. There is a power in George Floyd's Square. The city noses, which is exactly why the city doesn't want the community to have it. It will use the killing of a black man by police to co opt the subsequent works of community members in order to pave the way to gentrification. Meanwhile, you're using the death of George Floyd to get more power and money. And hopefully get elected to office and you want to and and and seriously like who could see and witness what's going on in and around 38th in Chicago and be like, Yeah, we need to keep this What? Yeah, it's this is Yeah, we we we We can't let a coffee shop open up in here. That'd be bad. We need to keep this as it is. It's disgusting and dangerous. Yeah. And racist and I kind of raise Yeah, and deadly kind kind of racist kind of deadly. Yeah, so we're going to dive into this Minnesota reformer peace. And there's a lot to get into facing increasing political pressure on all sides in the face of rising violent crime and activists demanding the dismantling of their police departments. Minneapolis and some other cities are increasingly Turning to private community groups to keep the peace and provide political cover in perilous times the details of of of what's have been happening with this money and all these groups is absolutely mind boggling. The worsening has been looting has done a lot for the black community. That's really the stance. The equity specialist in Elk River I school wants to wants to take, and that's the that's the knowledge that he wants to impart upon these high school students. He's been an equity Specter specialist with Elk River District for 14 years, working in two high schools and two middle schools, according to the district website equity specialist work with the district to promote culturally competent learning environments and like a racket to me seriously, and I said it before how many dutiful left wing activists is this dude created over the past 14 years. And this this feels like one of those positions that gets created just to park in activist somewhere so that they can get a paycheck without actually really. Doing anything well, that actually really doing a job and then can still continue their activism. This is this is what they do. There's all sorts of equity specialist positions in government off entities around the state of Minnesota around the country at universities at school systems, and what do they do? They park somebody there, They get a nice little six figure salary and they get paid to do. Nothing. You've been an equity specials for 14 years. Josh passing who happens to live in that area and correct me if I'm wrong, declared on this show that you will be running for Elk River School board. Good morning. Good morning. Yes, I will be running for school board in 2022 so On top of this guy. It turns out, there's actually a total of four equity officers in the school district, Elk River instead. Terribly big school district, right? All the district. Actually, it's fairly biggest, just Rivers Zimmerman, Ego and Rogers are all one school district. I see 7 28 and therefore equity specialists in this district. Yes. So do you know? Do you know how much I owe you? Oh, sorry Do you have do you know how much they make? Depending on what pay scale the wrong as far as grades a through or one through four, And then how many years they've been there? They start off around 40 grand a year. They could make it much as 70. Okay, I'm not a bad wreck it out of the battery. No, they're all on. Uh, that's a hefty salary to pay you to do nothing. You got people really fired up Good people started paying attention. And then shortly after the video really caught news, Uh, this a bunch of students of the elk over high school did a deal and like anti cop walk out In the school claimed it wasn't school things under school approved, but the school gave all of those students. Excused absence and that equity officer was out there with him. Of course. Of course he was. Yeah, of course he was We, a bunch of complaints were made to the school board. And they had a hearing on it on Monday at the regular scheduled meeting, but a second rate and be amount of parents that showed up three parents got the talk for either side of the argument. The amount of parents and showed up to show that they did not approve of this. They did not want this in our schools was phenomenal. Nice. I mean that that building was packed. Well, when will you you know, will use you as an example along with all the other stories that we've heard and great to hear from you, as always got of of individual stepping up to go and make a difference. There's a piece of audio for you in the Virginia mother delivered a fiery takedown of critical race theory. This is a black mother, Shawn, tell Cooper she was whisked into the national spotlight. After she delivered this one minute takedown of critical race theory to the allowed in county public School District board, in the words of Martin Luther King Jr. I have a dream that my four little Children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin. By the content of their character. Now I have a dream that we will implement love, not hate or supporting another Jim Crow's agenda. CRT is not an honest dialogue is a tactic that was used by Hitler in the Clue. Klux Klan on Slavery's very many years ago to dumb down my ancestors, so we could not think for ourselves. CRT is racist. It is abusive. It discriminates against once color. Let me educate you and honest dialogue does not impress, oppress anonymous dialogue does not permit hatred or injustice. It's to communicate with deceiving without deceit. People today We don't need your agreement. We want action in the backbone for what we asked for today to band CRT. We don't want your political advertisement to divide our Children or be little them. Think twice before you indoctrinate such racist theories. You cannot tell me what is or is not racist. Look at me. I had to come down here today to tell you to your face that were coming together and we are strong. This will not be the last greets and meet respectfully. And it's pure ignorance of individuals that are hopping on board with this critical race theory who are not educating themselves over what the intent in and intent is and what it really is One of the biggest proponents of this this Ybor him ex candy of which they're trying to push upon, even within our own school district's because they're trying to push up on his own books. On your kids. He straight up, says that you have to fight racism with racism. This is the stuff of Marxism. She's absolutely right. This type of racism hasn't been seen so glaringly up front. Since the time of actual Nazi Germany, Hitler this is what it was used for, and it's and it's just pure ignorance of individuals and fear of individuals that don't educate themselves on this or refused to push back on it for a long time. Now there's been a real fear of, you know of standing up when you know, and the anti racism effort sort of goes too far. Because you don't wanna get called racist. I don't wanna get called racist, You know, careers. Get destroyed on charges unfounded charges of racism even and nobody wants. You know, we've all seen that happen. And they know that that's the cudgel that they have in their hand right now, so they can get really extreme because they know it that most people, especially white liberals, aren't going to stand up and go. "We'll get back into The pandemic switch being flipped. Yesterday. Coming up at eight o'clock this morning. Really odd and we'll get into all of it in the in the eight o'clock hour from the CDC to walls to the teachers union. What's up, will dive into it suspicious. Story out of Yahoo and I would encourage anybody who's on Twitter to go looking for these because they are hysterical, if not frightening to see the individuals attempting to go in hoard the gasoline, right, But a Georgia man decided to skip Long lines, forming outside gas stations in the wake of the colonial pipeline cyber attack and stopped by a line of park you halls instead. 25 year old drilled holes in the field tanks of multiple U haul trucks. He spilled 35 to 45 gallons of gas. Dozens of firefighters had to clean up the hazardous gas spill surveillance images show the suspect with the fuel can walking near what is thought to be his red truck. Residents use the images to help identify the suspect. Yeah, so it is a basically he was trying to decipher. Guess out of U hauls. He's drilling the hold. He spilled 35 to 45 gallons of it Think his plan through very Well, No, not at all. Even I learned the hard way about the siphon. You know, I I I've told this story before, but my dad we had we had been an above ground pool in the backyard. And so when you know, in the off season, my dad would trainer need to clean and you get a hose and he'd suck on it until the water started coming out. Would you would pour out of the street when I was very young at the time. I didn't know how this works. And so I needed to get gas from the edge Er to the mower And I had this about vamonos, baby two ft, maybe foot and a half long piece of tubing. And I was doing my dad Does Mother siphoned it from that? From from the ledger to the mower? It was basically just a big straw from the first thing that popped into my head was was the harmful words of faith, Fatal and swallow, So It was the first time in my life that I thought I was gonna die well could happen. Working out freaked out and it was like it wasn't enough to kill me. My brothers were walking around, though, asking me to burp with lighter in their hand the rest of the day, so unfortunately, never had to siphon gas. But I did it. I remember watching my dad siphon gas out of one vehicle to put in another during the gas shortages in the late seventies and the look on his face. Poor guy. I mean, you know, I just hate just look so bad, horrible and disgusted and everything. Unfortunately, I've never had to do that when we lived in or no. We had a big truck that we would use to take our big horse trailer toe, horse shows and people and we had an extra gas tank on the back of it. And there was somebody in your neighborhood that kept on repeatedly siphoning our gas, and this is like pre Three ring doorbell Pre, like, have being normal. Have security cameras. This is quite a while ago, but somebody just kept on siphoning or gas out of that gas tank. But we I don't think we've ever had a really siphon it. I've got my twin cities Cannabis CBD roll on firmly in my hand for this car he does don in Burnsville. What's going on Don reporting. Well, I was just thinking, you know the demand for gas. Been a serious down for the past year living. The gas companies put picture parts of death. So why not got the pipe right now? Creative crisis. And drive the price up about a buck down and turned the pipeline background. Is this Does this conspiracy theory? Don You think this was done on purpose? Something like that could happen. You know, it's God's called a conspiracy theory when you do that, Yeah. So you think you do? Do you believe that to be the case? Do you think this was done on purpose to artificially inflate the price of gas? No. Come on. Don't cop out. You're the one that called it in your theory. Do you think it's true or not? No, I don't know that this is true. But you know if it did happen if your conspiracy theories accurate, you know, the FBI has been involved with this so you would only stand to reason that they would be in cahoots, right? What's the first thing people do When there's a story in, they run out, store up and just accelerate done? You know there is that there is such a weird kind of. Thanks, Don. Uh, there's there's such a weird dynamic and gonna wipe out on this. But such a weird dynamic of Of like. Our detractors like like when, when, when? When we offer up speculation on something that could like lean in the conspiracy territories ago. It's up in arms freak out, but here you have just a fairly straightforward Explanation as to what happened right there were that were not even challenging right Colonial pipelines, some 5000 miles of pipeline or something like this some ridiculous amount right which which, if disrupted, would easily Cause this type of problem right? We know that there are ransom where attacks that happened all the time. They've admitted it, They said. There's a ransom was paid for it. This is why we have the shortage back east. It makes all the sense of the world so we're actually just straight up reporting and then one of our biggest detractors who has gotten honest for things that he thought were conspiracy. Because in with the strangest conspiracy, he e that I hadn't even heard yet attached to this. I got from just asking. Yeah, we did a lot of what if last year and still are doing a lot of what if Matt Chaka be go ahead, Matt? Yeah, but your gas siphoning You know, don't do it lets you trained professionally. I've been doing it actually all my life. I really think I've got about three gallons of gas in my belly and 50 times. Gross dude. Second of all, gasoline is a perfect remedy. Getting rid of poison ivy. My grandma told me, I swear to God really, just poured on where you got where you got the poison ivy on you. She would set me on her footsteps with you know those like firearms Funds, one with Margo's and a gallon of gasoline and have you rub it on place tonight? I just got all my childhood. I've never heard of that before. So listeners take mats. Advice at your own discretion, Tommy, go. Thanks bad but octane. Give theirs. It's gotta be ethanol. Don't use Lethal that won't work strong the poison ivy, you know, you still use the higher the stronger the poison ivy, The higher the Arctic. You know, I'm just skeptical. In a way it's Friday. Holy couch. We we end the pandemic, and suddenly we just get all these weird calls. Pandemic rub gasoline on your skin coming up audio, much of a Virginia mother who in like a minute. "In April, saying the cove in 19 vaccine is not being distributed as quickly as expected. The airline employees about 133,000 people in the United States. Okay, President Biden is signaling that he's open to some changes to his budget plan is trying to build bipartisan support. And he told lawmakers on Wednesday that he's not married to an absolute number for the overall package. But he still wants to go big on pandemic relief. ABC correspondent Elizabeth Scholesy is live with us from the White House and Elizabeth They can pass this with budget reconciliation. The Democrats, they don't need the Republicans to do this. Why is President Biden signaling he's open to some changes? That's exactly right. The house in the Senate can move forward and they are moving forward with the process of reconciliation, which would allow this proposal to pass to the simple majority. But President Biden is insisting this could be done in a bipartisan way. You know he's Taking to this message that he has been pushing throughout his campaign and threw out the first weeks of his presidency, that there is no reason why lawmakers can't be united in some of these proposals, especially when it comes to delivering much needed aid to millions of Americans. That's the message. We're hearing from President Biden and finished act of good faith that he is willing to negotiate. He now says that he won't budge on the dollar amount of the stimulus checks in his proposal, which is currently at $1400. For individual, but he did say that he would be willing to send those checks out to a smaller group of Americans making it a little bit more targeted, and that's something that we've heard is a demand from the Republican side, So it does sound. The fighting is willing to negotiate here. As his caucus continues to kind of move forward with passing this even without any Republican support. So Elizabeth for those of us outside the Beltway, What's the thinking inside the Beltway? Is this going to move this along any faster? Do you suppose Well, you know, the one trick with getting this done through the reconciliation process, as it is very technical in the process itself doesn't take a matter of days. We're talking about weeks instead. So President Biden saying that seems to get down fast. We're still looking at some time before this can get through. And ultimately the deadline that we're hearing from Democrats is that they want to deal to be pushed through by the time the federal unemployment benefits expire again, which is mid March. So even though you know the heat is on to get this done fast, and to get it big and bold. Using this process. It looks as though it's not going to be happening tomorrow at this point, so if the Czechs go to a smaller number of Americans who would qualify and who would not qualify? Yeah. So the current proposal from President Biden starts phasing out the checks that incomes of $75,000 for individual and the proposal that we heard from Republicans want that threshold to be $50,000. So it looks as though there may be some middle ground in between those two numbers and the you know. Other point that Biden has made is that perhaps it could start phasing out. So you know, in order to get the full check, you know you usually the capital B $40,000 on the Republican proposal, for example, but it would phase out the lower amounts so maybe higher incomes. You wouldn't get anything under this deal. What this looks like. Is that really the effort is to get these checks to the people who need it the most, But there is really broad support to get these checks were wider range of people from the public, so it might be a little bit of pushback from especially some Democrats to say. We shouldn't cap. It's such a low income. We know more people need this who are making, say, $100,000. They could still benefit from some sort of check here. All right, Elizabeth. Thank you so much. That's ABC correspondent Elizabeth shows the live from the White House this morning with the very latest developments inside the Beltway out to the roads we go. Unfortunately, we don't know why One thing they need to start doing is miking. The referees. So that they can come out when he gets fans back in the stands, and they can explain to the fans and to us why they disallowed that would really help her if they said something. Over the P A. They just say it wasn't allowed if they could give any kind of reasoning as toe toe. Why, but nevertheless no goal, So it's still a two. Nothing game. Each team with the goal disallowed now in this contest. Air Force comes out and put some pressure on Bentley right away after the restart, But Bentley with the takeaway, and here comes Bentley into the air Force and no back. How's it down? Low centers went out front and anticipating that was Alex Schilling. He saw that centering pass to came out from behind the net, and he batted it down and then flopped on and covered it up in the paint. J just saw the replay of it. It's a good call. It was off of a high stick, so it was on the far end of the ice really hard for us to see. Where that was. The puck came out from behind the net over the top of the net, and as it was falling down, Sean Nolan had a stick up and he bats it in and from the angle of the camera. Even it did look like That stick was above the crossbar, so it was disallowed because of a high step. That's the standard. If it's above the crossbar and you swing at it, that's a high stick. Here's a tap one by Air Force and Jake 11. Up with the park. You'll fire one on net from the blue line, and it's gloved out of the air by grab go. He gives it to a teammate going by. Don't think that it would have gone in, so it's not actually a shot on goal. Let me you will chip it into the air Force and Maynard rims it around for Nate Orn Elk River, Minnesota on the far side of the ice porn, fumbled a punt gets it back, and then his pass intercepted at the Bentley Blue line taken away by Hamlet. Muscling his way past Alex Maynard. He's got the puck takes it in behind the net comes out the other side with it features to the point for a shot and a pad save made by showing from there that was taken by Christian Felton. Air Force with the puck and a drive from just inside the blue Line. A line drive by Blake Bride that's knocked away by grab Go, and then it got out of plays. Yeah, after getting a good look at that replay, you could definitely see it. It was high. It was. It was a good call on that one. But Really unfortunate. The Falcons getting more shots in this period, a lot more scoring opportunities, have not been able to get one past the freshman goalie Nicholas Grab code for Bentley. The first half of this period was pretty much Bentley dominating, but Air Force has played better. Since about the 11 minute mark. They get another shot there that's knocked down out front and then out to the neutral zone, where it's off of a stick and up into the stands about 10 ft. Away from my partner, not not very far. We had a good look at that. When we have a great view of this game, we're only about seven rows off the ice and The glasses only maybe. I don't know. J 15 ft. In front of us. They kept the puck in that Bentley and for quite a while to 49 to go in the period face off in the neutral zone controlled by Air Force. My goal is in hell. Send it in its knocked down at the blue line by Bentley. They turn and go with it. Shipped into the air Force and cut off behind the net by Schilling gives it to Maraj is Maraj is trying to find Pinsky coming up on your wall intercepted by Bentley that was Van row buys, ran more boys intercepted. It skated in, took the shot saved by showing and then he kind of slammed into showing a little bit of Falcons objected to the contact. They're exchanging some pleasantries down there. Zach Murad, just right in the middle of that as well, along with And roll boys..

"Adam, Wrong talking about weirdo first dates. Good, bad, indifferent. Is this is the day that I first went out on a date with my wife 28 years ago. Yeah, this day. And if you have a first date horror story loved Hugo the top of the list. Let's talk to Jack in northern Kentucky about so, Jack, it says on my phone screen that you have you had unusual date. I I did, Eddie. First of all, this is gonna be right down Memory lane for you. I think, um, I used to make a lot of calls down in West Virginia for business, and I happen to be at the Charleston Elk River holiday and grabbed a bite for lunch. And while I was there, the Makers came over at the end of my meal, and she gave me Mike. My check, and I know she's a little antsy, and I didn't think much about it, she said. We'll turn it over. I turned it over. That was her name and phone number, Smiley face saying Call me. So anyway, I thought this was a good thing. So I did. I called her and we arranged to go out that night, she said. We'll take it in one of the clubs. So we went to the Charleston Athletic Club. You probably have been there at least knew of it. I know and Anyway, when we when we got there it was wet T shirt night. And I thought it that was just kind of different. But anyway, that's where she wanted to go. Well, she got upset with me because I wouldn't enter her in the wet T shirt contest and you're wetter. And what I was concerned about is the opposite side of the guy who called in a little bit ago. That was 6 Ft. 53 50. I'm 5 11 1 80. And I thought I was going to meet the 6 ft. 5 £350 guy if I went out with this girl, and it was her opponent fied wetter, So needless to say, I said, I think the night's over, I'm done. I'm out of here and I left. That was my one and only date with this girl. I see, he said. He asked you to go to the wet T shirt contests. And one year when I was there I was there. You made yourself a quality West Virginia girl right there, buddy. That's that's where I come from. I can tell you right now. No, it is. I know it. Is that he? That's why I said it probably would be right down Memory lane for you, please. A pretty girl too, But, Wow, they're all cute, but they're a little bit sideways. Crazy If you know what I'm saying, Jack, I didn't want to get my clock cleaned and not even know it. Thanks, buddy. Let's see. Now. That's when you got a quality woman which it gets pissed at you because you won't enter in the what district? That's interesting one right there. A don. What's going on with you, buddy? Thanks for holding. What do you have No much Eddie. Eddie. I used to D day downtown. You might remember me from back in the day, but it was a Sunday night. And I'm playing downtown and just had a good old time. There's a little blonde dance in front of me. We're making eye contact stuff like that. So you know what I'm gonna deal with. Slow it down. We'll see where she goes. She walks over and sit down with about eight or nine guys like all, man, I can't. That's not gonna work. Then I thought I got one of my buddies here. I'll send my buddy over there to pick the tired come and talk to me. And if you get beat up I know I'm not getting anywhere. And that cited to it. I got it worked out Great for for a while. So you know your strategy. That's great. Thanks, Ray. Hey, Jeff and dating. What do you have in college is a right state 1982 and got to know a girl in an art class, and I noticed that she had more just a very plain Wedding being, but on our left on her right hand, and I'm sorry. You married, divorced or whatever on that. That's my grandmother's and wear it for her. So we finally go out. Go out a couple lunches and everything. And she says, Why don't you come on over the house? Invites me over to the house and we start. How shall we say? Playing doctor. Yeah, and it all suddenly, front door comes unlocked And we just happen to be on the couch and guy walks in, and I said, Who the hell are you? Because I'm her husband. Who the hell are you? And I said, I'm obviously in the wrong place. Yeah, he can You give me 30 seconds to leave that zah Tough one. Give me three steps. Give me three sentences. There you go. Well said never seen me them. Oh, so your your first date with Kelly was Well, there wasn't it was then you kind of you were on a date, but she was not blind date. Another girl. Yeah, me over there. Why? I kind of was you having a balance? Too, you know and kind of wasn't hard, But anyway, I'm kidding. But no, we Yeah, but we went back to someone's a friend of mine's house. And then she kind of Because I'm trying to not be a jerk. I'm trying to talk to that. You know, the girl that was on a blind date with there's nothing gonna happen there anyway. But you know, trying to put in time with both, and Kelly was like Those God brings me over. You know, You know this party here and doesn't talk with them when I was talking this other girl explain this situation next day, but I can't believe I called her the next day. I didn't wait the standard, you know, two days seeing my wife still gives me crap about that to this day that I didn't call her the next day. I was like Wasn't talk about. We went out last night. Yeah, I bought you dinner, and we had a glass of wine afterwards, and he's like, Well, you really cool, you know, like Mm hmm. Sorry. Like animal House member. The one scene with, um, Otter. I think it is is done they're going to see is like One that great? Yeah, Yeah, my one real quick When I went on a girl date with a girl who she was Southern Belle from Nashville and walked out. And, uh, you know, whatever. Get around, get in the car, and she stands by the door was kicked off. She was waiting. I mean, open the door for what I said. Have West side since, and I agreed. "Get to the weight room after the season and And put on a few more pounds there of guys do that every year. Absolutely. Yeah, well, absolutely. Um And I know it's great. I should have mentioned that too. But his father serving as well. And it's great when we went when we when we recruit these guys, and they do have AH family member that did serve because the family members that did serve they take great pride in that, and also, they can. They can help educate You know these young guys on kind of what they're getting into it. And, um, you know, um, you know that played a big factor with B, A and and also, I'm sure played a factor with you. That definitely I think, am I? My dad was a little bit Ah, little more excited to my mom. But first she heard Air Force and got a little scared. But the more she learned about now, I think she's almost more excited than him. But yeah, no it Zbynek cool. Nate or in Elk River, Minnesota. Another fresh from Nate. Thanks for coming by good job. They said. Yeah. All right. "I think that first year like I said was, it was kind of reality Check and then No, you learn from your guys and you kind of figure out the game and figure out how to find success that the higher level you gotta think of a quicker and Use your body and better ways, but Yeah. And then, uh, after I played three years of juniors, which is a smart as you can pretty much play, so I think personally, that was the best thing that could happen to me because I'm obviously I'm not the biggest guy either. Um, so as much weight as not even so much getting stronger, but I think it's more so just like figure out how to use your smaller frame and kind of avoiding getting banged around as much as possible. But then Ah, no. Those three years definitely help it on making the jump to college. Ah, there's definitely another jump for sure. But Um, it's I don't know, like we have a great senior class and great leaders on the team and the coach has been great. It's been, um obviously have toe you kinda have to grow up quick, especially with shorter season and you kind of got a mature quicker on the ice. But I don't know. It's it's been fun so far. Did you get many offers besides, Air force now is actually my first one. Yeah. Did you know much about Air Force hockey. A little bit. I remember when I was little. I washed them. They think they can play that play the golfers one Christmas a long time ago. Remember watching? Yeah, that was kind of my first taste and then I mean, I always I always admired the military. My dad served in the Army. My grandparents served. So I was kind of myrrh that I never really personally. I kind of pictured at me in the military. But then as I got toward juniors, and then I ended up going with the car out on a visit. I kind of fell in love with the place and Yeah. Uh, yeah. Seal the deal. Yeah. Elk River, Minnesota. You know what? We were bragging up, Cloquet. There's been a few good players. Come on, AL. Cover Minnesota. To who name a couple of them. See you got Paul Martin Giotto. Dan High note those There's not bad, not bad job I played with Jolanda White Bemidji. That's my senior year was Jules freshman He came in, and he was like a newborn called big, tall, but you could tell there was something there, man. You could tell. He was a great young, great guy. And he just like you could just tell there was something there. You know, back in those days had Joel Otto. What Junior? A hockey was this big then? That he got a junior hockey. No, he would have been. He would have been a goal for our a badger or somebody like that. After Ah, year because he developed fast, huh? But tell us about you. You know how you Whether the storm here from from June all the way through December. Um, honestly, I think the biggest health for me it was tough, I think. The nine other freshman. I mean, it feels like I've known these guys for years Now you're coming after you go through basic training and kind of the last couple months. It's brings you tight as a group and then obviously like my parents and Family and friends have been great and stuff, but no, I think I think I'm speaking for all three of us. I think the hardest part personally with school We've been out of school for quite a bit so Yeah, You got to kind of figure out how to learn, Learn again and then No one's ever meant off with this the last couple weeks going home seeing the family and that was awesome. And now it's It's good to be back and kind of get after the second half. Tell us about your goal he have. We talked a little bit about it. Eyes, kinds of fortune about those. Ah, the guys. Other guys were kind of snapping around, and then they got a pox on that, and it bounced off the walls. That's the one that came off the back wall, I think was really shot. Yeah, yeah, It's just kind of unfortunate bounce that landed on my tape right in front and then Yeah, I was kind of a gift. You know what? It's unfortunate bounce, but you were in the right place. Yeah. You know, too many guys are in the wrong place and guys like you. You have a great feel for the game. You have great instincts. And, you know, guys like you always just seemed to be in the right place at the right time. And and you know, that was your first goal, but I'll guarantee it ain't gonna be your last goal. There could be a lot of I know we're happy to have you all you're doing. Fantastic job for you for us. Like I said, one of the men I went, Watch aside Plague. Oh, this kid gets that He's smart and know you aren't the biggest guy in the world and be a as in the biggest guy in the world. But you guys, you got big hearts and your great teammates and And you love that. There's nothing more that you love them playing hockey, and I could see that in your face. I can see that in your eyes. When you guys are on the ice. You got a chance to get a little bigger, Good..

"To you live from Niagara Falls, New York J. Witchy with head coach Frank Cerrito Oriana three freshmen who scored goals their first college goals against Niagara on Sunday and yesterday. Our guests on the show we just heard from Brian out of Next up is Nate Horned Elk River, Minnesota number 24. 5 11 £160 by way of the North American League and Minnesota and, uh, now a freshman at the Air Force Academy. No 80 song reference, Frank for Nate. You got one. I know. But you gotta be able. You gotta be able to come up with something with horn. If you gave me a little bit of Ah, advanced notice. I could have come up with something. Yeah, something we could use on the air. Did you get those Saturday night? Live Stephanie? A little bit of a little bit. Yeah. OK s o. Alka River. Minnesota was well, you know, you didn't know where California was. Do you know where Minnesota's I know where Minnesota is? I'm not sure. You know. Where would you know where I'll be? Okay? I'm gonna ask. I'm an asshole. Arnie is Elk River. More city, or is it more North Moor Northern or is it more city more city? Do you think so? On down around the twin cities? It's about 45 minutes north west of Minneapolis. Yeah, Okay. You know what? The border you know what I think? Don't like when I watched Alka River play hockey. You play your style of play and just the kids. They're more blue collar than the city slickers. And you guys are I think you play more of a northern Minnesota brand of hockey. Then you do a city style personally. Is that a fair statement? Yeah, yeah, that's true. And you like your dad's from Brainerd, right? Yeah. I mean, so like Brainard ain't the city. I've been to Brainerd. You know, we're Brander Do yes. Yes. And And you've got The way you play like you're you are. You're a little rank rat. I mean, like you have fantastic instincts. Um, like you've got great hockey sense. Like that's that's not something that You know that, like just comes naturally It comes from years off, playing on the ponds and playing free and and, uh, and again like he you play hockey like a northern Minnesota rank rat and that and that, and that's a Old school. You know what I like. I like no, I sure don't want to say, you know, put say he's chucked Alice. But like he's one of like one of those kind of guys. I mean, one of those noise and we haven't had Many northern kids on our team. We've had some kids from or head. We had Spanky letter from Elk River. Um, we've had a couple kids from Duluth. But we haven't had many Northern Minnesota kids, but we got a northern Minnesota rank rat on our team right now, and you can see these always in the right place at the right time. He knows where to put pox. You know, place box the goals that he scored right place at the right time. How about that about that shootout goal that he scored yesterday? Yeah, keep to shoot up. It was big time. But I remember going to watch and Nate, uh, play with the wilderness, And you think it's cold in? Uh you think it was cold in here? Remember? I like I was that fucking drinking. Cloquet is a nice pot. You could hang meat in that place. I remember cracked. I couldn't wait. For the For the periods the and sometimes so I could run in the hospitality room and get something to eat warm up for the next period. But how is that for you? Did you enjoy going up to cloak a cloak ain't a whole lot different than Elk River, is it? No, it's a pretty similar. I love coke capital of the world. This was the team was awesome to me. I think On the juniors from high school is definitely a big jump. It's kind of reality. Check my first year I got injured right away. Got scraps quite a bit. It was. It was kind of Ah. No, my I still like what hockey really is outside of the high school hockey bubble. And then I think it kind of makes you wanna work all the harder and then the next next two years, I found a little more success and then Um, but, yeah, I know. Over the those three years were great to me. Um, you go into Cloquet, who are who are the two greatest hockey players ever to come out of Cloquet? Minnesota. Wasn't Corey Millen. One of them Corey Melon. Good job. Birdman, Who's the other one drunk? Who's the other one? Who's the other one? Who knows? They have me in the ring. He knows my brother Jiang, Jamie Langenbrunner. Okay, That's not good. Old northern Minnesota rink rap stars that made it all the way. You know what You know, like you know what? I horny? We have to throw Derek Plante in there, too. Oh, yeah. No. Yeah. No great little hockey tone Cloak a great little hockey town. But, uh, his journey would be a little bit more simpler because he grew up in a Minnesota. You grow up in your town. You play in your town all the way up where we're be a jumped around shit. He went to Chicago for a year, You know, And, uh, where his deals a little bit different, and he didn't leave home and tell already didn't leave home until the, uh went and played juniors. But tell us a little bit about The jump from junior high school to junior hockey and then from junior hockey to college hockey. Yeah, no High school high school was awesome. We had some good teams. I play some Some of my best friends are playing some big time hockey. Now, as it was, it's fun to watch that. But I go to Junior's is definitely an adjustment..
