"Chronic toxic stress in this cleaning up your mental misses podcast pretty much everything I teach you on here is related to my management and they for helping you to understand and manage chronic toxic stress from all sources of events in life tumors, et cetera, et cetera so today I specifically want to talk though about how love consensual safe sex and relationships affect telomeres, because really interesting research. In fact, when I was interviewing doctor Lisa Apple, I'll call the queen of telomeres her and Elizabeth Blackburn. They have done an extensive amount of research as I mentioned on telomere research. In fact, Elizabeth Blackburn won the Nobel Prize for Australian women to have won the Nobel Prize on her work on telomerase and telomeres. So that's really exciting. So when I was talking to her, she actually commented that her most viral study now doctor Lisa and her team produced a lot of publications. And she said her most viral study of publication of all her publications was one that was on basically how sexual relationships influences telomere length. So the exact title was sexual intimacy is associated with longer telomere length and so I wanted to just talk about that and I put the link in the show notes so that you can go and have a look at the study. It's a great study and basically what it says is that high quality intimate relationships are very, very good for health. So overall arching this podcast and this specific podcast is trying to help to improve the quality and intimacy of your relationships to help with your biological and physical health which feeds back into your mental health. It's a good relationships are really important. Being healthy is about so much more than a number on a scale or a taste of the doctor, it's about having the time and energy to do the things we love and spend time with the people we love. The things that make life worth living. Whatever your reason is for wanting to make a change, noom is ready to help. The link in details will be in the show notes. So we all know high quality, intimate relationships are good for healthy. We all know that. So basically, what they study found was that women who reported having consensual safe sex was their partner during the course of the week tended to have significantly longer telomeres. Now other researchers have also found that frequent safe, consensual sexual intimacy for individuals in relationships has been linked to greater mainland physical health outcomes such as more general happiness and greater life satisfaction, lower daily semitic symptoms that's bodily symptoms, reduced daily down or cortisol that's reduced cortisol levels and are more robust immune response. So we see that when telomeres are in a healthier state have a quality wise or better, we see a bit immune response, better control of the HPA axis, which is your cortisol. We one of those is the cortisol response. They are feeling better in your body. Your heart rate variability improves. So a lot of other things but also telomere length. So doctor Apple discusses a lot in her work and her team about this and her telomeres are very, very correlated with how supported we feel. So that's key here is how supported you feel. And so sexual intimacy consensual sexual intimacy has a lot to do with how safe you feel in a relationship and how supported you feel in a relationship. And the most supported and safe you feel in that relationship, the more you actually lead the telomeres and improving the quality of telomeres and all those other effects that I spoke about in terms of mitochondrial functioning and immune system and so on. So what they found was that couples who have been married for long periods of time or partnerships that have been going on for long periods of time where they feel safe and supported. They tell it is correlated with healthier, longer telomeres. So healthy relationships help to predict positive stress and increased longevity because telomeres have a lot to do with longevity, which makes sense because you are aging regardless, you're getting older every day you're getting older and your telomeres have a limited lifespan. I'm just going to take the telomere concept. And so your telomeres are going to inevitably shorten as you eventually get to the point where you die. But what does research is showing is that the rate at which those telomeres shorten and kind of wear out, you can short you can change that rate at which it happens. And so you don't have to happen. It can be too fast for people age early or you can control you can actually influence that human management and you can then increase the quality time of healthy telomeres. And we often hear people saying things like, oh my gosh, a terrible incident happened, whatever and they looked like they've really aged, or you may even feel gosh, I've gone to so much. I really look older. You know, that sudden aging. People look different when they've been through a lot of maybe illness or very traumatic situations going on in their life. I know that in some of the countries I've traveled in where I've seen these very, very strange environments. People look much older than they are at much younger ages. So external strain, the environment that we experiencing is processed by our minds and does have this effect. So this particular podcast I wanted to really focus on the importance of safe consensual sex and in intimate relationships with people feel safe and supported and is direct evidence showing us that when we work towards these kinds of relationships, we can improve and increase artillery health, which is great, which means our biological health. So we also affect each other. So we know in a relationship with one partners really upset it's like this emotional contagion. We the other person can get really upset and make me feel each other's emotions and not just in an intimate relationship but in family relationships and Friends at work there is we do affect each other and so it's really important that we focus on understanding that this is not just I feel isn't just going to think me but a dark mood or something I'm going through that I don't talk about and sought out my partner. That's also affecting my partner. So the unspoken stuff that's not dealt with is going to affect autonomy as well. Okay, so here are just a couple of things that you can do to help you to get healthier to get healthier telomeres to improve the intimacy of your relationships to deepen the support of safety feeling around relationships that leads to safe support of consensual sexual intimate relationships. So the first one is that if you feel like you see need something more and this is not just sexually moral this can apply on a sexual level and just in your relationship in general is how do you tell your partner that you need something more. So what's in order to answer that question, we need a very open line of communication. So in support of relationships, one of the things that the research shows is that an open line of communication is very key in these safe supportive relationships and that an open line of communication will help with the telomere length for example and help with all those other biologically fixed. So it's one of so what does a safe intimate supportive relationship look like? One of the things is an open line of communication icon, keep stressing the word safe enough because we need in order for an open line of communication. You both people in the relationship need to feel that they can talk safely. And yet doesn't mean that you're not going to have arguments. But you need to feel safe enough to have the argument to get mad and maybe walk away from a situation for a while that you can calm down, but to know that there's enough love and support that you can come back together again and resolve that relationship.

"So it's all around sort of memory stuff, thoughts being recalled, there's a little genetic switch in there, a kind of cluster that switches on to basically protect us when we go in as information comes in. But that's even stress. But if we toxic stress, it switches off. So that protective function is removed from the equation. So you vulnerable, you're all of these decreased blood flow, decreased oxygen. Beta not flowing in the correct way. Bad activity, the beta the brainwave. This flow through your body that's affecting your cardiovascular system to not work like it should. The immune system response. The inflammation starting to change, changing different hormones in your body increasing information, all these things, that is happening in response to as shifting into toxic stress. And that's not good if it stays long term. It's not working for you it's time to work against you. You also get an increase in oxidative stress, which is when we have free radicals floating around our brain that start weakening ourselves and making ourselves more vulnerable so they're more and when we've got that immune that happening toxic stress with the immune response kind of going kind of almost backfiring, we get more vulnerable to diseases so that's what's easier to get cold and flu than that kind of thing. And we also what we found in our research and that's been found in a lot of people's post specifically doctor Lisa apron conducted Elizabeth Blackburn is that you telomeres which are the ends of chromosomes which are directly linked to biological health and in the DNA of souls, basically are shortening and when they shorten and the enzyme that works with them called telomerase when those telomeres get less, the telomeres shorten and that directly reduces the functionality of the cell and weakens your body and increases your biological age beyond your actual age and that's not healthy. So basically chronic unmanned stress is going to age you. We often see that in people who have been through chronic unmanned stress, they look older. And you may go through phases where you look older and educate your stress men you look younger again. So these are the things that can go wrong now. I'm going to end up this broadcast by on a positive note by saying that however if we shift our perspective to think stress is normal, it's how the mind is actually preparing us to respond. And even in scary situations, it's incredible, mind brain body, function that we have to help us. Then the opposite happens, then instead of the blood vessels around the heart constricting the dilate, now I've got more blood flow, more oxygen going to the front of my brain, which is fantastic. Now I can have improved cognitive fluency improved ability to tune into the wise mind and then depth of the unconscious and hear and get guidance for tuning to our wisdom to be able to solve the problem increase our intelligence, et cetera, help you to face and overcome the challenge. We get increased the increased blood flow also balances the sympathetic and the parasympathetic nervous system so that alerting and calming down process the genetic switch in the hippocampus will switch on so that you've got this extra layer of protection to help you deal with the incoming stress. So you're going to have your immune system now knows what to do doesn't backfire on itself, your whole HPA exists the hypothalamic duty execution going to talk about more in the next in the next podcast that functions differently and then also we have decreased inflammation decreased oxidative stress so the least theoretical et cetera and also art telomeres will be stronger, you'll have the right they'll lengthen as opposed to shorten and will have a network's hand in hand with the telomerase, which is the enzyme that helps them to do that. So then we're going to be increasing our health biologically, which then means that aging we don't going to age so quickly. So these are big things and there's a lot more, but it gives you a broad idea of the impact. So it's really worthwhile starting to look at stress in a different way. And that's what the series is going to help you do. So I hope you enjoyed this and I look forward to the next two part two where we really get into a little bit more about the HPA axis and what we can do to shift and change our understanding of stress. "Metabolic stress on it. And now today, I mean, obviously we're eating all the time, even though we're eating a lot of nutrient less food, we're getting plenty of food in our system, but we're also putting so much stress on the gut, and the guts really wasn't designed to handle that amount of stress. And we have that gut mucosa that really protects that lining and how critical is that gut mucosa and what kind of things should we do to help support that got mucosa and the strength and the resilience of the gut lining. That's a great question. It's a great point and you bring up the number one modality in the research for healthy living and longevity. The number one, right? There's a lot out there. Now, we have a lot of tools that are toolbox. Is caloric restriction. And as you say, it's a wonder that it hasn't swifter the nation. You know, everybody wants this longevity, but do you really want to implement that number one modality that's going to get you there? No. That has been my experience clinically. But I think you said it. Allow that digestive system to act as it was sort of meant to act back in the day and rest. And I think this is where, in a lot of these things, these days have these buzzwords, right? So intermittent fasting, we hear and we've got a lot of hype around it. But to be honest with you, it's not really intermittent fasting. And I think we get, I think we get, it's back to just eating as we should, right? With that rest period in their so that digestive processes that take a lot of work, right? And a lot of enzymes and a lot of building blocks and such to then rest and allow it to repair. That is so super important. Folks that eat up right until they go to bed and then they go to sleep or try to go to sleep, I would say. And that food is just sitting there in the digestive system is like, what am I supposed to do now? They just shut up most of their brain power and how can I work without that, it just gets into a big conundrum. So there are other things that we can do to repair gut mucosal. If it needs to be sort of recovered, in a sense, de glycerides licorice is wonderful for that. It's something that you chew on. So it takes the acid part out of the glycerin, the acid, and it's D glycerides, but when you chew on it and swallow it, it can increase that mucin, which is so important to protect. That got learning because of our stomach acid, right? You and I said, one cell thick. If we are stomach acid is important, that helps break down those big proteins. But it's so toxic caustic, I should say, one drop on your hand, burn a hole right through it. So we need to protect it, and that's where that mucin, I think, is so important. Yeah, so critical. We got the mucin there, the mucus lining real thick and our stomach to protect the stomach from that sharp acid, and then kind of the immune component where our secretory IgA lives in that small intestinal region to help kill off pathogens and things like that. And we've got to have that good roller coaster of it's like a domino. It's like good stomach acid production helps reduce pathogens, helps optimize nutrient absorption, and it also helps stimulate bile production. If we don't produce enough stomach acid, we don't get the right stimulus to produce enough bile because bile is an alkaline substance to bring to basically take away the acid in the small intestine and it's also antimicrobial helps emulsify fats and then when we get that at that acidic bolus coming out of the stomach it also helps trigger the production of sodium bicarbonate as well as pancreatic enzymes. So we kind of get this nice influx, but most people are just eating so quickly and on the go and you know like you talked about just eating so often throughout the day that they're depleting or they're not they're inhibiting their body's ability to produce enough stomach acid. Yeah, you're right. And you kicked off a point in my head that was a sort of a hallmark of my recommendations when people would leave my office and almost every single person that I talked to one of the things that I would recommend, right? So I have a lot of education. I have a lot of experience, but chewing. Chewing was the thing. Because I could be a little bit of, well, I don't always walk my talk in this area, but this is where I always make sure they tell my patients because that process is so important because the more that you can get that digestive process started right there, right? With all of those secretions coming out, then the better your microbiome, your digestive process will be down downstream. And so chewing is extremely important. And I just think it's something that we forgotten to do. Yeah, I mean, I'm just like you, sometimes I just, I'm eating on the go or whatever it is or I'm trying to multitask, and I'm forgetting how important that is, just being present with my meal, being in a relaxed state, chewing, so I can optimize my digestive enzyme release in my mouth. And then stomach acid release, bioproduction, digestive enzyme production. When you do that, you really get the right cascade for optimal digestion. And again, very few people are being intentional about that and they're compromising their overall digestive health and the health of their microbiome and turning up inflammation in their body. Yeah, for sure. I just wanted to interrupt this podcast to tell you about the tasty probiotic enzyme and polyphenol infused energy drink that I use on a regular basis that doesn't have caffeine and really powers up my brain and my body. It's called metabolic reds. It's an anti aging nutraceutical that you drink. See, most energy drinks leave us dealing with the midday crash. You know, they kind of wear off and then we, you know, our energy levels go way down and then there's other ones that are more natural that just had like a lot like a grass like taste that make them really hard to stomach. And that's where metabolic reds comes in. It was made to pack in 9 different natural blends that are scientifically proven to boost energy and focus, but it also tastes awesome. And the best part you won't feel like you're forcing down another health drink, you're not gonna get the midday crash, metabolic reds are designed to be easy to drink. It's a 100% natural. It gives you the natural energy boost you've been missing. These nutrients that are in it help the most important cells of your body adapt, grow, and stay healthier, longer. That will unlock your offer to get a free metabolic greens with your purchase of the metabolic red, so you get two for one. So check that out, guys. Again, get red dot com forward slash jockers. You guys are going to love the metabolic reds. So we talked a little bit about the microbiome there. And we'll come back to that and talk about some more solutions for supporting the microbiome. But I also want to talk about telomeres. And we know the telomere discovery and you had mentioned telomeres are kind of like the tips. On our chromosomes and I want you to go back into that and describe that a little bit more. But we know that discovering telomeres is really a game changer in the field of anti aging, and that's why the biologist Elizabeth Blackburn, who really pioneered this idea of the telomere theory of aging. She was awarded the prestigious Nobel Prize in medicine in 2009. So let's talk a little bit about more about telomeres and why it's so important that

"They might lock this thing up before the next couple of weeks. They might be done with the NFC north. So if they win this game, they're a stealth one seat candidate. Now that I talked about it Sunday and I took that baby with sharp, somebody this week, but they win this, they're ten and two. At Detroit, home indie home giants at Green Bay Rogers will be out by then. At Chicago to wrap it, like they have nobody left. Every year we see a team like this, that's like 14 and three, 13 and four. And people don't believe. And it was Tennessee last year, and of course I was like, all right, I'll talk myself into this, then they lose at home in the city. Speaking of since, so I don't like the line in this game. It's chiefs minus two and a half. I wish that I wish it was three and a half to two and a half. I don't know what that does. It's like, you're not going to value with the Bengals money line either. I really think the Bengals could win this game. There's a bet, Casey wins the first half, but since he wins the game, that is 8 to one on FanDuel. I'm going to let my hands off the wheel. I know Warren sharp did a 90 minute dissertation with you. 62nd half. So second half, all that stuff. That's on you guys. And I love where you're going with this because it feels like there's an extra layer of research here. Yeah, well, so I had them, I mentioned to him and he looked it up and Casey is 42 and 5 when leading after the first half. So we're going to talk it out, but I could see a world where Casey goes up early. It's basically like Pacheco is the running back though. That's good though. That's fine. That's your only running back? I just wondered out there last year. You're up 7, you got to protect the lead in the third quarter and then it was like, cool, Pacheco again. I don't know, it feels like a nice spot for sensei. And here's the other thing with since. Casey this week, deshaun Watson next week. At Tampa at New England. Buffalo Baltimore home to finish. There's no outs for them. They're in playoff game mode now, which I like. And Baltimore schedule is actually quite easy. So you've got that double edged sword of like, we need to win. We can't rely on Baltimore losing these games. The Cincinnati thing is this, this is their biggest home game in maybe a decade. The biggest regular season home game. Yeah, the way they're playing with this thing. And Elizabeth Blackburn, who's a young executive. She's Katie Blackburn's daughter who's Mike Brown's family. And she sent a letter to Susan ticket holders. We need you in the building. It's going to be cold. This is where our playoff push runs. And Jamar is back, Joe Mixon's supposed to be back. Reader, readers talking to readers talking a little bit on Twitter, and then I don't know if you saw the whole thing yesterday with Justin Reed. But the chief safety didn't know Higgins's name thought he was talking about Hayden Hurst, thought he was talking about Higgs B you could be the ramp. And the Bengals guys seized on it immediately. Tee Higgins tweeting at him. Jamar chase tweeting at him. DJ reader tuning on. I'm like, I feel like the Bengals know that this is like a nationally televised game in Cincinnati at 4 o'clock in the afternoon with Nancy Romo on the call and like everyone's going to be watching. No, I might just throw them in. You know what else? Mixing goes out, right? Gets concussion. And they kind of found something with P run. Oh, so much. It's been good for them for two years. No, I know, but I was never a huge fan. I always felt like there was a drop off and what he showed. I felt like he went up a level as something. So now I feel like they have this two back thing that I didn't feel like they had 5 weeks ago. They just seem they seem healthy. Boroughs got the swagger back. And Casey, they had that one awesome win. What was the 44 to 23 win when they laid the smack

"That you have to keep in mind is that when you buy from bengal dot com we do not charge any service fees, so fans on average are going to save about 30%. Over the secondary market when they buy directly to the Bangles, and it's worth pointing out and you guys have gone out of your way to make sure that fans know this. But for those who are attending on Sunday or are thinking about it, you're not getting a paper ticket. Everything is scanned. And so you've got to be ready for that, right? Right. We've gone all mobile with our ticketing. We started that last year as part of the pandemic as a safety measure. Well, it went so well, so we've expanded that and we're going to be staying that way for the foreseeable future. Um, I love what you said earlier, by the way about the injury report, Joburg playing. I think that the thing that we can't stress enough is that the player Joe Burrow himself has mentioned it how excited he is to be able to finally play and NFL game in front of a full crowd. This is going to be his first chance to do that. We would really love everybody out there to help support us and push this thing to a sell out Well, and look, I think the team is better But being at those games last year, and it was looking was it was great to go to an NFL game. You abided by the rules. You know what? I was just happy to have a ticket at the same time. A. The NFL atmosphere isn't about 12,000 people in the stands, B. Playing home games is about making life difficult for the opposing offense. You could not do that last year. Hector were times I can hear the cadences at the line of scrimmage. That can't be the case for the defense on Sunday. Absolutely agree there. And I think that what people don't get is that this town is jacked up over this team and I we feel it. The fact that we are going to be so close to a seller might even get all the way there. It's just proof that I mean, the crowd is going to be rocking on Sunday. I think you're going to want to be there. But all the other things that Elizabeth Blackburn and team have done to help improve the game day experience. This will be so many people first chance to finally experience that the that the ruler of the jungle I'm so excited for Sunday. Yeah, the rule of the jungle and look at the new uniform will be a lot of folks who go inside Paul Brown Stadium or people who are listening to us right now Thinking about going down to PBS on Sunday and the atmosphere and what they see and what they feel is going to be different than it has been even as recently as a couple of years ago. And all I ask is that people give us a chance to prove it because I think that what you're going to see is that People are going to roll your eyes a little bit. Say, Hey, you know what? I've heard that before, but pressed us come out. It's going to be rocking on Sunday Bengals dot com purchase tickets with no fees, and by the way, you still have season ticket packages on sale, right? We do.

"Sometimes you do become big alive. However, I guess optimistically, you've got to look at the team four hours North. You got to look at the Cleveland Browns to say Okay, remember, they were the definition of dismal. There was a definition of for the definition of bad in horrific and what happened over the course of time Right now, here going into this particular football season, they are slated to win the F C North. Now, obviously, that was because of some great draft. That was because of some great free agent pickups. But let's just face it when I'm from Cleveland, and I'll tell you, Jimmy, half of them the ownership there. Him and his wife. They were getting the hands handed to them. They were getting beat the hell up. Because of their lack of success early on in his ownership, So yeah, there's always going to be hope. And I think when you look at the challenge On 15 that will give you hope. Now, let's take hope, and we have to put something else in this bowl. He gotta put history in that boat. We put history and we mix it up we go. Oh, my God. Now you become bingo, Live And now all the things that Mike said so excellently. Now they all start pertaining to a point where? Yeah, you got a point there and especially if they lose their first game. It will. It will just get that ugly. And then Danny and Andy Dalton's waiting in Chicago for Game two. The second paragraph, the story says. I'm ticked off already sell the team Every year. I get more outraged as we lose while Mike Brown sits on his fat cachet and won't pay for a winner. Worse now the Browns are winning. I hate Browns fans and Steeler fans. I'm angry. We didn't get more blocking for Joe Burrow or help on defense. I get emotional during games. When we lose a ticket personal we stink. I will boost so Out. Mike Brown's family can hear me. That's the second paragraph of the preview of the game on Sunday. Is this town to negative? Is Tony Bender to negative? What do you say? No, no, because he's dealing with real fact his facts. Facts credit, give credits for him because he didn't He's stating the obvious. I mean, he's stating that, however, again. If you want to look at because I am I I have been totally fair and criticizing the Bengals when they need to be criticized. That should be criticized. But I am saying this particular year on paper is the first year in a long time that I see. Hope. Now I agree with him when you look at the coaching staff and Jack Taylor, you know again if you're going to measure someone on their job performance, yes, Mike scalpers bleeding from my fingernails Digging in. I'm scratching my head going. Okay. What? What? What is this all about, but the new direction of the Bengals ownership. Elizabeth Brown, Elizabeth Blackburn. Katie Blackburn's daughter has done some very progressive thing. So I do see a glimmer of hope. As in, they're doing something outside of the box that Mike Brown would have never done. I totally disagree with Mike, and when he wants to run within his prominent and again We've been to two Super Bowls. Cleveland's been or not, so I think it does. It does help. If you pay guys and you've seen you put the best talent on and the best best coaches fast. But what what mesmerizes and I'm so perplexed that you've got this base of pallet, Willy. Yeah, and you and they're being coached by Zach Taylor. I'm sorry. Exactly. He would be the first to say okay, I haven't gotten the job done and this is the year For me. It's the year of expectations if they don't win, and I'm not talking when, in 56 games, we can't allow that to happen. Well, we can't be going around here, going who? This was a better year. We won one game more than we want last year. Like way we're happy now and for those long suffering Browns fans. It looks good on paper. But the Browns never won a damn thing since the administration of William Henry Harrison that their stink and if somehow would be worse for Bengal them as if the Browns arise and do something special this year and maybe get to the Super Bowl. And then played Tom Tom Brady in the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl. Then it's over, because we always can say Well, Ben goes aren't very good, but at least we're not in Cleveland. For God's sakes. At least you're not a Browns fan. But if something good happens to the Browns We have no argument. At that point, it's over. It's done. The late great town wife will be turning over in his grave if remember his favorite quote. You're not in Cleveland, Cleveland when Cleveland win playoff games They may be yelling, You're driving sentence in at it would be the greatest. Can you imagine Cleveland Browns with Joe Burrow at the helm. Thank God. They have a quarterback that can't function because I think the Browns quarterback is no good. At least Joe Burrow has got the potential of being special, but it's got to be protected. The receiver corps looks good Offensive line is extremely suspicious. No help on the defense. I don't know what's going to happen, but Tim McGee, thanks for sharing your thoughts about bangle them. It's fair to say that Mike Bass of the inquiry is not real positive. Would you agree? "And we're talking a lot about how this season as much taylor. I've said this a thousand times over the last seven or eight months by by the end of the season you want to feel good about the bengals being coach bisak but does he give them an edge. Zack taylor inherently give the bengals in advantage over their competitors in a given week their their peers in the afc north and the nfl is a whole right now. The answer is at best. I don't know but beyond that man. I mean it's had a couple of years to make free agency. Decisions to run draft rooms to hire a coach to oversee the rebuilding of a franchise. The rebuild is supposed to be over right now not to say that. The bengals are contenders. But this is this to me. Is that now. This is building. This is building on top of what you have. You have the most important asset in all the sports. And that's a very good very promising at least young quarterback under a rookie contract. But if we're sitting here after six weeks and we're talking about a team going one and five sitting here after six weeks and talking about a team going to four and he starts to do the math and you're trying to figure out okay. We're gonna come from late. Then you have to start talking about where the bengals go next in the front office in head coaches office to me is the biggest sort of big picture question about this team. Moving forward after two thousand twenty one. Or we call with duke. Tobin and anzac taylor running the show. Maybe mike brown visa differently or katie blackburn views differently or troy blackburn elizabeth blackburn. Maybe they all view things differently than i do. But we're sitting here and talking about this team sitting at one and five sitting at two and four and now it's hard to imagine them getting to a win total by the end of the season that would make everybody feel good. We're going to spend the middle part of the season talking about with the bengals. do next. That was not the plan two and a half years ago for what it's worth. I don't think we're going to do that. I don't think. I think this team to play in a ton of close games. They're gonna win than than they did. Last year. I'd rather have these pseudo known quantity in joe borough and a whole bunch of questions everywhere else than what it used to be like here which was kind of the unknown and andy dalton but a whole bunch of known quantities up and down the field. But that's what this is all about man. I mean this is for all the talk of zaken culture. And getting joe borough ready week one and the guys all showed up for ot as mini camps. At some point. You got to show your work and your work is reflected by. How many games do you win. It's time for this franchise to start winning football games. It's time for. This franchise started taking major steps towards not just winning playoff games but but being championship caliber winning a title. And you are being fair if you're not yet on board with the idea that they're going to do that. You're also being fair if you go. Look they've got the most important piece it's time to. It's time to make that happen taking major steps towards winning a championship. And if we're not doing that then you're gonna feel good about the current structure remaining in place. The duke and show do kazak show have had a couple of years. Now which means that a win total. That looks like last year or the year before or the year before is simply not going to be acceptable. And all at all twenty-five away from four o'clock someone inevitable reporting on a university cincinnati and big twelve. We'll get to that such up for the reds and cubs tonight next on. This according to a university sources big twelve on friday williams is expected to officially announce that you see and three other schools central florida houston and byu will join the conference. Jason joins us coming up in just a just about one hour. I'm a little bit Short on time here is that taylor went went long on the reds last night The ivy helped. I mean who knows what happens if if that's a normal outfield wall in the ball. That wisdom hit in the sixth inning last night. Reds caught a break. Their kyle farmer makes a great play in the eighth inning last night. Who knows how the inning unfolds and how the rest of the game unfolds of that ball lands for forehead and wade miley came up big again last night. Man and i. I know. I've said this a couple of different times relative to how we were talking about wade miley back in spring training. Certainly back during the offseason to where he is now where when he gets the ball on a given night regardless of who the opponent is regardless of where the game is regardless of what happens. What's happened the night before. I still feel like he's the guy you feel best about. Louise casio has pitch really really really really well since early june and we've seen some upside recently from sonny gray and i love the dude throwing tonight. Vladimir good eras. But i mean the guy to me that just brings a sense of calm a sense of stability a sense of reliability. A sense of this is going to be okay is way miley. Didn't get much from the bullpen. Last night especially michael lorenzen critical win last night. Critical game tonight man. I often make this less about to you win. Certain series and more about. Can you get to a certain number. I off of the idea that ninety wins is gonna get that last wildcard spot. I think it's more like eighty eight. But you gotta start winning some series man. You got if you're gonna if you're going to get this thing turned around. I gotta go fourteen and eight. The rest of the way which to me is essentially clean up against the pirates. Play close to five hundred ball against everybody else. And you're going to be eight wins. And i'll take my chances. They're playing the chicago cubs team. That is not very good despite the recent winning streak you've lost four straight series. You gotta saint louis this weekend kind of again. Feels like a last gasp for the cardinals. You gotta win the series. Get one tonight. Seven forty seven hundred. Wwl w team option for wade miley in two thousand twenty two. I don't know why you would not pick that up. And look i get at least casio's under team control sunny grave under team control. Tyler molly is under team control. We all wanna see hundred green next year. We all wanna see nickel dolo year. Who knows what vladimir gutierrez's role is gonna be. I pick up that team option man. Do this had a phenomenal year and knows a staff as an opening day starter. Is he the guy you would wanna pitch game. One of a postseason series. Those are questions that frankly don't matter that much to me right now. does he. The profile of the kind of guy that you can stick in the middle of a really good rotation and feel like that night. You're going to win the game..

"Can buy or any program you can do herself. Love interesting is it. Is it important to speak it out loud. Absolutely our brains really love our waste and unfortunately in our society we become very afraid to seek out loud especially with ourselves because there's some kind of sigma there or some kind of i dunno societal view of what that means for our brains really law our voice and so a niece speak positive words source ourselves that we here in our own voice and we're looking at ourselves i mean that's one of the most powerful things that you could ever do fascinating. Yeah route we have as a society deemed the idea of poking yourself as one of the signs of insanity inside ahead. We're talking to ourselves all the time to us. Absolutely we're gonna the things that i've recommended to clients in the past two that they have set has been extremely helpful is recording themselves saying positive affirmations and then listening to it yes that that's a great to all of us that from taunton the i like the you said i'm curious about so if we're having some thought that comes across head and the the idea of being really self aware and taking a position of Dating ourselves up you know. There's a thought that comes across ohio. These better instead of fading ourselves up for not having on that beta being really curious. I wonder why i thought that. Do you find Generally helpful to conduct find that separation between I'm now said potty observer really of that sort and so i'm curious i wonder why so that absolutely journaling to help also Envisioning the thought is from another person like a friend or you know a trusted friend or something like that and thinking. Well how would i respond. If my trusted friends said this to me or said that they were thinking this that can help with a level of separation to. There's a lot of science that supports curious. "One, I found out that inhibits the viruses ability to infect cells to inhibit the replication of already ineffective cells and three Sean it reduces infected cells resistance to treatment. With antiviral medications, So in other words, No. These anti viral medications that were taking for these viruses are actually boosted by people that are taking Claire sitting, so you know. I just wanted to bring this up because it just shows you that You mentioned the beginning of the show. You mentioned point you know, putting poison in your body and knowing and stuff like that. You're actually right. So When we have high blood pressure when we have other issues, we take medications and medications work very, very well. Andre do do their jobs, but with those medications You have collateral damage? That's the poison part that you were talking about. I assume yeah. And so like, for example, I take if I take Advil for pain out of the works great. I mean everybody out there who has pain. They take Advil relieve whatever your choice and say it is, it works great for the pain. But unfortunately there's a cost and that cost is swelling of the lower extremities, high blood pressure damage to your kidneys, bleeding ulcers and even death. You know those air that's collateral damage from those medications. What was great about these supplements. They give you collateral benefits. So you're taking resveratrol rewind because you're interested in its any inflammatory of facts. It's anti aging effects. But guess what? You're going to get collateral benefits, and you might. I'm not saying you know, this is a definite thing. I mean, obviously, they have studies that they think they're doing. There's actually a study from Canada. Canadians actually went to China. During the during the beginnings of the epidemic. The pandemic, and they're they're doing a study with acquires a pin on I haven't seen the results yet. But again, there are studies that show it helps with the flu. It helps with other viruses. You have to assume that it's got to be some positive effects with grown a virus. But my point is there. Is there a troll rewind. You're not going to get collateral damage. You actually get collateral benefits and This happens a lot with With the products, for example, you know you're taking an omega three we every week. Sean. We talk about Omega threes every single week there. We talked about it with, um with our hearts with our brain health. But you know if, if you recall there was there was a scientist Elizabeth Blackburn, who did studies that looked at kilometers Member Killem years. Sean, are those shoe laces the tips of the shoe laces, and that's the telomeres are kind of like the ends of our didna and at the at the ends of the DNA's. There's there's kilometers and they're like the caps to the Sedation to the shoe lace, and as we age, there's telomeres unwind. And we get damaged to Edna. And that's the theory behind what what Aging is and Elizabeth Blackburn studies showed that taking omega threes Actually protects those kilometers and Ford Omega threes can also have anti aging effects. S so again, just one of the many collateral benefits. Of taking an old man. That's just amazing. Omega that amazing find so thank your wife force because We? We've know we've been talking about it now for the last 1 10 months or so, as we've been battling this pandemic about health probiotic would be beneficial of vitamin D three is a must. Zink is you mentioned? Eyes and helping to build and maintain your immune system. And now we find it a resveratrol rewind has this queer sittin in it that is also helpful on battling and fending off viral infections. And if you are, if you do catch the virus on in some cases it can help stop it from replicating and Actually help antivirals treated so that that's an incredible fine. Thank you, Doctor for that we've heard from Sonny Sonny says. I've used rescue resveratrol rewind for many years, and one of the benefits I found is it helped my arthritis. Especially in my shoulders before taking resveratrol. I couldn't get a dental exam without making them upright the chair during exam a few times because of the shoulder pain Now that's not an issue. The doctor. In addition to what we've already discussed, how can his virtual rewind help pain or inflammation? Again, as I mentioned earlier was very troll, um, is very good, natural, anti inflammatory. And if you look at a lot of these pain Remedies that use you know that she she advertised on TV. One of their ingredients is resveratrol. Now I I looked at some of these and look at the ingredients and a lot of them aren't even the transfers very troll, which is the more You know, active form? Um, so you know, I think that again, you know, this goes to the your point of, you know, what are you taking? Is it you know, knowing what's behind the label? You know, just because it says resveratrol doesn't necessarily mean you're getting the appropriate resveratrol. On. Do you know we use that example with all the different types of fish oils. They're out there by something. It's official on it and might not even contain three essential fatty acids that we talked about. Same thing was with the resveratrol s so I can only really speak upon this product That was very trial. Rewind on. There. It is a very good anti inflammatory. It's also very good for our hearts. There was research that shows The rich spiritual man actually keep our hearts healthy by limiting the effects of cardiac fibrosis, which is a hardening of the heart tissue. There was also a study from the American Heart Association. That suggested the properties and red wine can help lower cholesterol and reduce the threat of at the rose Sclerosis, because, remember Sean what's one of the risk factors for for after a sclerosis? Or the hardening of our arteries is chronic inflammation on, according to the the American Heart Association, the Pali Pali, phenolic compounds and red wine. Appear to have anti clotting and anti from biotic actions s O You know, there has been, you know, as I said, a lot of research regarding resveratrol. When it comes to our hearts. When it comes to inflammation, there's actually been studies with diabetic patients. There was a child, Sean and enrolled 66. Type Two diabetic men and women and participants were supplemented with 1 G of resveratrol or placebo daily for 45 days. And at the end of the study, subjects who received resveratrol had experienced a lower systolic blood pressure. Lower fasting blood glucose, a lower hemoglobin, a one C insulin and insulin resistance and demonstrated an increase. In HD. Oh cholesterol, while glucose, the decline by an average of almost 35 mg per desole, and among those who received resveratrol Subjects to receive placebo experience, an average increase. Of 9.89 a swell as a rise in a new lbl so In other words, you know, it really helps. And I think A lot of the reason for that. Is because of its powerful anti inflammatory effects. Norma and place will has written in. She's his doctor, Can I just have a glass of French red wine a day and get the same benefits? Um, you know again, it's a great question, and by all means that you should enjoy a glass of wine, but to get this amount of resveratrol You would not be able to drive with the amount of wine he would have to drink it, Z..
