"Memphis is tired right now. Yeah. I'm good. I'm with you all. This is to hire right now. Eliza, Fletcher kidnapping, and abduction and murder. The other crimes we've had this year leading up to this, it's difficult right now. Bear with me, it's a very nerve wracking night. Yeah, I mean, you could tell she's angry. She's upset. And there's a lot of people that are angry and upset. And it should be. Now, I also feel like I've got to put this into a little bit of perspective that yes, this is a horrible situation that we've seen if you're just joining us, shooter and Memphis, he goes driving around the city, live streaming as he just goes into stores, gas stations, one AutoZone, and he just opens fire on innocent people. But putting this in perspective, I mean, you folks in Chicago, I mean, we're talking about, I've seen anywhere from, I've seen two figures I've seen four people dead. I've seen three people dead. I don't know which one it is, but bottom line is in a place like Chicago, for example. I mean, you see that on any given Saturday or Sunday, but this does happen clearly all too often, especially in one of the big topics of conversation tonight, is obviously you've got discussions of the Second Amendment. Your ability to protect yourself, but also you've got not only the guy who was the shooter tonight, but also the guy that killed Eliza Fletcher, both of these guys were supposed to be in prison, but they were allowed to get out of jail early. And so that's something that a lot of people will most certainly be talking about in the days ahead. Let's say hello to this is Trisha on red eye radio. Tricia in murphysboro, Tennessee how are you? I'm doing great, Dan. You're sending good tonight. Thank you. You're going to make it through tomorrow. I'll get there. I just have a so I've been involved in the system. A lot of these people that do sell on these, there's more than one charge. There's usually two or three or more. Why? There's a word that needs to be abolished. It's called concurrence. And they have changed that from the current two consecutives. Well, tell me, tell me what concurrent means. Trish tell me what concurrence. Well, concurrent. If there's more than one charge, regardless of how many. And Tom is. Guilty by the jury. those sentences side by side. Got it. So if he gets some useful one thing in 5 years for another, sending in, he gets out in three years. And I'll tell you why, Trish and I, unfortunately, I got to run, but you're right. And here's the other thing, is that just because we've been talking about this quite a bit, just because somebody is

The Gospel According to the Bible

"You know, I'm not going to lie, yeah, I try to be impartial. I try to be fair and balanced, but it's very, very hard for me to support people that are just, they're just antithetical. I think I said they were right. Antithetical to everything Christian stand for. And I know I'm jumping on the Christian bandwagon right now, but when I was a Democrat, right? 'cause I used to be a Democrat, at least I called myself a Democrat. When somebody pointed out the fact that I'm a Christian and Democrats don't focus or push anything that's beneficial to Christianity, they actually are anti Christian. When I started realizing that, I had to make up in my mind as a Christian that I can not support stuff like this. You know, I love everybody. But I do not support gay marriage. I do not. Why? Because the Bible is against it. I love everybody, but it's you out here fornicating and doing all this stuff. I can't support that. I have to speak against it. Why? Because the Bible speaks against it. It's nothing personal. Don't kill the messenger. And when you're talking about life, life starts at conception, it don't store that perception.

AOC Says Trump Supporters Will Kill Her

"Why is AOC crying about being married to a white man? According to the daily wire article, it states that representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, which I guarantee she used a casio Cortez in agrarian as prayer part of them speak a lick of Spanish. Want to be ethnic. You ain't ethnic Alexandria. Alexandria is terrified that Trump supporters will kill her when y'all. This month, she's worried about Mary being married to a white man and feel mistreated by her fellow Democrats, according to a new profile on the GQ magazine. Can somebody explain this to me? You're worried about being married to a white man. This is the problem that I have with these people. Y'all say white devil white devil white devil white devil, but you marry the white person. But they don't ever really put them out in public. She want to be ethnic. She want to care about black and brown bodies, but you engage to a white man. Same thing with Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris is the first black, whatever they say she is. And she's half retarded. I don't even know why people still claiming her in good faith.

The View Hosts Bad Take on the Rings of Powerthe Rings of Power

"So many topics I want to talk about is so much to get into. The view host scoopy Goldberg, I don't know what's wrong with that woman. I mean, it's just embarrassing black people every single day she show up on the show. They are saying our lamenting to or making a statement to represent that people are racist if they don't want to continue to watch or they're not as enthusiastic about the rings of power. I'm assuming that the rings of power is a sub series of Lord of the Rings. And because they decide to throw a couple of black people in the cast that what normally there somehow white people are supposed to be jumping for joy, whether they can act or whether the characters are misplaced or not that white people were supposed to be jumping for joy and saying thank God racism is over. We got black people in the series. People don't care. I don't understand why we still on the path of trying to make things equal by force. Listen, man, if you perform well, people are going to watch you. Nobody cares about your color. The NFL, NBA, track and field. You want to go down the list? Black people are dominating sports. White people are literally rap music. White people are literally selling their souls to watch black men dunk basketballs.

"72 43. Back to the murder mystery. Of Eliza, I think Eliza Fletcher, young lady that was jogging, apparently mining on business went thug thug thuggery, came out of the woodworks and decided to kill her, I really do wonder, it's just going to be a murder mystery where the husband found this thug. 'cause he kind of knew, let me just tell you this. The husband and this is totally hypothetical. The husband may have known about this guy because his first kidnapped and was connected with the family that worked at the law firm with the guy he kidnapped initially. Maybe the husband won off on looked him up, knew he was getting out of prison and said, look, this is the route, make it happen. The only reason I'm saying this is because I have seen shows where I have seen people do worse. I'm throwing out possibilities. Could this be a possibility? It could be. Could this guy just so happen to be so nasty and dirty that he was just looking for women at the sitting there just stalking women and looking for an opportunity to catch one of them and he found one. It very well could be an opportunity. Or that could be opportunity took advantage of either way a go is horrible as soon as we get more information on that and I'll let you guys know. But that was that was pretty disgusting to see him be able to get out of prison and end up murdering that woman the way he did and that she struggled and, you know, obviously the men and women aren't physically the same. So no matter how fit she was, he was able to overcome her and eventually kill her and try to clean up the scene. Let me move on to the next subject at hand, gene Pierre, White House press secretary was mocked for mixing up Nord stream pipeline with Nordstrom. Some of y'all may not know what Nordstrom is. I'll let you know after we play the clip. I want to roll clip one. So ya could hear her actually mess this word up. Wrote a clip. So you've heard us say this that what we see Russia is doing and we've been very clear about this is that using energy, their weaponizing energy, and it's choosing to one of the things that has been out there that shut down the pipeline of Nordstrom one. She said Nordstrom won. That's ever, I don't know. What kind of place do they tell me how I go shopping Nordstrom one? I heard a Nordstrom rack, but I haven't heard a Nordstrom one. Now I know this is nitpicky. But she has been she has been doing a terrible job as the press secretary. When Trump had Kayleigh McEnany in there, I mean, they were out there just ripping, boom, boom, boom. This Jean Pierre, this woman is horrible. Let me give you another clip. I wonder do we have the clip on here? This occurred yesterday when Peter doocy just grilled her because she literally tweeted that Trump stole the election in 2016. She literally tweeted that. While at the same time on the podium claiming that it is wrong and unpatriotic for you to question the election in 2020. She's out of control. Sean, I don't know if you have that clip from yesterday. If you do let me know if there's no clip that exists, we'll send it. But the clip is just asinine to me at the hypocrisy when she knew she blamed Trump of stealing election and all these Democrats did. All of them did. They said it wasn't a legit election. They said it wasn't legit and that Trump stole it. And then in 20 and 2020, they had crying in the middle of the street, acting like we're just so crazy for questioning an election that clearly had more issues and I ain't gonna say that woman now. I was gonna say more issues than Jennifer Lopez, but I don't think she got that many issues. Other than maybe she can't find a husband. But anyway, wrote a clip. The new attention on the maga Republicans, you tweeted, oh, I knew this was coming. I was waiting, Peter, when you were going to ask me that question. Well, here we go. You tweeted Trump's a little election. You tweeted Brian Kemp stole an election if denying election results is extreme now. So let's be really clear that that comparison that you made is just ridiculous. I have been, I have been, well, you're asking me, you're asking me a question. Let me answer it. I was, I was talking specifically at that time of what was happening with voting rights and the what was in danger of voting rights. That's what I was speaking to at the time. Oh, okay. Oh, okay. Okay, so they make it justified. Did you say the lecture was stolen? She has to be the trashiest one of all. It's actually on the sheet. I missed it. She had to be the trash is one of all. I think we got another clip in Sean, I'm gonna make you work today. Not that you don't work every day, but I'm gonna make you wear extra today. There's a clip of all the Democrats that were in succession. We played it before. They all were saying that Trump stole the 2016 election. When we get that clip, let me know, but these people are, they're out of control. I want to jump to Hillary Clinton because she said a bunch of things. And we got at least two clips from Hillary Clinton being obnoxiously hypocritical. And let's roll with clip three of Hillary Clinton on the view. Because apparently they've been moved around, it's not like they were in a vault. They were in a storage room where people go in and out getting umbrellas for the pool or, you know, something else. So I think that we have to we have to wait and we have to, we have to have, I think, two minds about this. No one is above the law. And the rule of law in a democracy. I quit. You know, have to be our standard. I quit. I think I'm gonna quit the radio, right today. I can't handle the hypocrisy. This woman. Says that no one's above the law. And she's I can't believe the view had Hillary Clinton on here talking about this. Are they trying to get her re indicted? She says no one is above the law. The woman is criticizing Trump about possession of classified information. You can't make this up. She had a server. She deleted documents. Bleach bit. She took hammers to BlackBerries. Director Comey said that she was guilty of sending and receiving classified information. We don't even talk about Benghazi. Lord help us hold a phone. I'll be back after the break. What difference at this point does it make? This is the officer Tatum show. 8 four four 9 zero zero 72 43. That's 8 four four 9 zero zero 72 43. The Double Standard in the Justice System

"The criminal justice system, I don't think it's balanced. In my opinion, they can find ways to put people in jail for January 6th, but you got people murdering people all the time getting out of jail. Or that should be locked behind bars for a very long time. Oh, they feel sympathy for them. Oh, you've done your time. Oh, the criminal justice system is against black and brown bodies and they let these people out and they kill it. They are here killing and stealing the thug game. Now I know that it's almost impossible to know in some cases to know where the person is going to resist of 8 or not. I know this is not always clear. But when you're committing cross on 12 years old and while he was in the penitentiary he's writing on his Facebook, complaining about his jail conditions, the fact he even had a Facebook making post that sounds revengeful on his Facebook while he's in a penitentiary. And somehow that just makes sense that he should get out because he did 85% of his sentence. I'm never going to understand how our society works. When it comes to letting these criminals out. Now let me tell you this. This is not going to make mainstream media longer than 30 minutes. Nobody's going to continue to talk about it. There's not going to be a hearing and hearing on Capitol Hill about women getting raped and abducted. Why? Because the man is black that did this.

This is the officer Tatum show. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the occupation show. I'm your host Brandon Tatum follow me on social media at the office of Tatum. You can go to my website the outside them dot com. YouTube is blowing up. So if you're on the youtubes, go ahead and follow your boy at the officer Tatum. There's so much news and so many topics today. I hope we get to a few of them. Steve Bannon could be going to jail. Because of something that he did a long time ago, the Democrats are targeting conservatives as we speak. Donald Trump is rightfully upset at what the left has done with the Mar-a-Lago raid and I want to start with the murder of, I think her name is ELISA, is it a lizza? Fletcher, they call her lizza, who was the teacher, and Memphis, jogging, minding her own business, and was murdered by a thug that spent his life doing thuggery. And I'm not going to mention his name because it's irrelevant. But this man was arrested as a juvenile, 16 years old for kidnapping the lawyer. Now, I don't have all the details surrounding whether it was intentional or what did he know the lawyer or whatever the case may be, but however he ended up kidnapping a lawyer had him in the trunk of a car, riding him around the city, a periodically stopping and making him withdraw money from his bank account and continued to joyride the lawyers vehicle with the lawyer in the trunk. He had an accomplice, it appears that the accomplice was trying to get him to stop, but he was a criminal hail bent on committing crimes of that nature, felonious nature, kidnapping people, potentially murdering people at the age of 16. If it had not, Eliza, okay. I don't want to wear a nickname is Liza, so her name is Eliza, Eliza Fletcher. That's the young lady's name that got killed. Thanks for correcting that. And he did 20 years in prison. He was sentenced to originally the 26 years in prison. But the way I justice system is stacked up today, if you're a good boy, and you don't commit too many crimes in jail, they'll let you out early. So long story short, he gets out in 20 years, and I don't know how this is possible. He had a Facebook account when he was posting on Facebook while he was in prison. He gets out and somehow, in some believe it was premeditated, he parks in a particular location, he stalks the woman, then he chases her down, forces her into an SUV, and proceeds to murder her. Now right now we don't know what the intent was. We don't know what the intent was to actually murder her, or the intent was to rape and murder her or to just rape her, to groper. I mean, I don't know what this guy's thinking. He just got out of prison in 2020 for kidnapping that lawyer. And we talked about before 2020, the kid had a rap sheet, as long as the Nile River. 2020, that's a 2000, is I believe he got, he got, that's when he got in trouble. It's in 2000 when he was 16. But before that, 95, 96, 97, 98. Convictions are being arrested for when I kidnapping armed robbery, theft, rape, aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a weapon. You're talking to kid from 12 years old, committing crimes. 16 goes to prison for 20 years. Somehow they let this fool out and he ended up killing this lady that appears to be innocent. However, there's a catch. There's a potential catch. I don't know if there's a catch, but there's a potential catch. She is in, I guess they call it a male is an heir, she's an heiress. To a billionaire. Now, the lawyer that the suspect that we're referring to now kidnapped that sent him to jail for 26 years, he only did 20, that lawyer works for a law firm that the now deceased Eliza Fletcher that her aunt works for or one of her family members worked for. So the man he kidnapped before and a family member of Eliza, which is the lady who was murdered, worked at the same law firm. And that cousin, whatever family member that is related to her and Eliza Fletcher, the young lady that was killed are both related to a billionaire. Now their skepticism as to whether she was attacked directly or was it an act of random violence. According to a former FBI, agent that alluded to some of these facts that I mentioned said that they don't think that this was random. What are the odds that this hardened criminal gets out of prison and just happens to run into this lady jogging down her jogging path at like 4 o'clock in the morning. I think it's highly unlikely that this was an accident. I think it was targeted for her to be connected to or an heiress of a billionaire whose well-known in the area, and she ends up dead seems very, very suspicious, and one of her family members worked at the law firm where he kidnapped the other lawyer. Seems very, very suspicious to me. Two things I want to make a point on here moving forward. The first thing is that this is a very sad situation. This lady left behind her husband and two children. I pray to God that her husband didn't set this up. So he can get the rest of our money because she seems to have a line of straight to the billionaire. So I'm hoping that that didn't happen. It's very sad because you seem that you want to get in shape and do the right thing and work out early in the morning. She was teaching at a private school, they have nothing but a great thing to say about her at the Christian private school. And now she's dead. Taking advantage of by a hardened criminal that had nothing to live for. The other idea that I want to bring up and point that I want to make is the justice system. It's always this concept of black man, a black man is in the justice system. Well, man, this man should have been put to death. He shouldn't have never seen the light of day. Why should you say that, mister Tatum, when you are committing crimes from 12? All the way through to your 16 in between 12 and 16, you were arrested for rape. Women that lived at the department complex with the guy say that he was a nasty creepy dude soliciting women for sex all the time. And young girls. How did you get out of prison? And then it gets out and what is he does, ladies and gentlemen, what does he do? He re offends. People like that should be locked away forever.

No One Talked About Crime in Memphis Until Eliza Fletcher's Death

"Came out of an election in August, and the district attorney was on the ballot, and she's a good and decent person. She was tough on crime. She was a Republican. And she was one of, I think she was part of that old school network that old Memphis network of Republicans. But she was very good at her job. And they went out, they campaigned, we had, we had one of theirs, we had a, what do you call it? What do you call the kid? The poor kid running for mayor had never held a job, but he was from old Memphis money. And he got beat, but he was their guy, and they embraced all of that. But they really didn't push back. They didn't talk about how bad crime was here in the city. They didn't talk about how people live in fear. They didn't talk about the fact that we're one of the most deadliest cities. They didn't talk about any of that stuff, because it would make the Democrats look bad. The people they do business with. The people they go to church with and their highfalutin, you know, upper crust churches. They don't want to talk about any of that stuff. And then what happened on Friday? One of their own, one of the, one of the members of old Memphis, that community. Was kidnapped and was killed. And guess what everybody's talking about now? Got to get tough on crime, gotta head the death penalty. Well, I'm glad they're talking about that, but why weren't they talking about that? A couple of a couple of weeks ago when two black kids got shot in the face. Why weren't they talking about? You talk about crime in Memphis, Tennessee. It's true that most of the perpetrators of the crime are black men. But you know what else is also true? That most of the victims most of the victims are black Americans. Here

Police say it happened about midnight near the old dominion university campus. There's no reports of any arrests. NASA sang the next possible launch date for the Artemis one might be sometime in October. The launch was scrubbed twice this past week because of different fuel leak problems. I'm Scott Carr. This is Bloomberg best on Bloomberg radio. I'm Denise Pellegrini. You know there has been just a huge amount of debate lately about President Biden's student loan forgiveness plan, so we're going to take a little bit of a look at that with Sarah Levy, she's CEO of betterment, and she tells Bloomberg's Emily Chang. There are pros and cons to student loan forgiveness. She also says there are some other things we should be doing to address the massive problem of education costs. Let's listen in. So I think there are economists on both sides of this issue. And I think we can agree that student loans are a major problem for this country and that there's $1.7 trillion in student loan debt outstanding and also that this generation is more saddled with student loan debt than any of the generations that have come before. I think where the conversation gets trickier is what to do about it. And so I'm a believer personally that what to do about it lies in advice and technology and that the federal government can play a part, but that business also needs to play a part. How so? Well, you know, I think the first thing that is very true is that folks are not good at saving and are not necessarily good at understanding if I have another disposable dollar where should I put it, right? And so I think there's sort of a regulatory and technology conversion here that's pretty exciting where we now can develop tools and we have betterment R developing tools to really say to a student loan student loan holder. Look, what should you do with your next dollar instead of going to Starbucks this week? What would $5 a day do? In terms of visually, we can show you visually, what would it do in terms of your debt pay down both your timeline, your costs, and how can we set you up for a better future? And so I think that's one thing we can do is offer technological solutions. And the other thing we can do is partner with employers. Because as with many other great issues of the day, like retirement savings, employers have a role to play in supporting their employees. How do you see businesses and employers playing a bigger role here? And how could that also impact the choices that students are perspective students make about how to access education? Yeah. So I think it's a great question. I mean, I think this is for those who aren't that excited about the current approach. I think the government is taking one of the concerns is this moral hazard issue of are people going to make choices about their education that they're then going to expect to be forgiven by the government, and therefore will they make choices that maybe aren't the best choices for them, and then similarly, will the costs go up because the schools know that they can access this incremental funding. So I think this is a real challenge that I think we're poised to help with in a couple of ways. I mean, number one, there's more legislation if you can imagine coming down the pike in the secure act two. You know, sort of on the table later this year that's talking about tax incentives for businesses to help potentially even with a match where you link a 401k and student loan management. So imagine if I'm an employee and I can't access my company match for retirement because I'm paying down debt from my student loan. And I just don't have an incremental dollar to save. Well, here's an opportunity for the government to step in and say, okay, whether you save by paying down your debt or whether you saved by putting a dollar in your 401k, either way, your employer can match that contribution. And that's a really powerful way for employers to be able to channel dollars where they're going to best serve their employees. What would be your message to rising freshmen right now who are considering a college education who have innumerable online learning options now available to them and companies that are reducing degree requirements. So you've got some people out there saying, I don't need a four year degree. I think it's true that there's no one size fits all. I mean, I think on average in over time, education has helped to lead to better outcomes for society. So, but I think we could talk about whether that education is about starting young and preschool and getting out of the gate stronger or whether it's about a four year college. I think the idea that there are vocational programs and other ways to go about it are true, but all of these things have costs and each has a different ROI. So I think regardless of the path an individual chooses because there are many paths and I agree they're kind of more varied than they were perhaps a generation ago. There still is going to be this problem of people need to borrow to fund any of these, whether it's vocational school or whether it's a four year college, they're borrowing, sometimes they're not finishing their degree. They're borrowing for that. And these are costs that then they need to understand how to tackle. And that's really the problem we're seeking to solve is how do we help employees who have taken on this debt? How do we help them tackle this debt in the most responsible way to give them the best personal long-term outcome? What would you like to see next from Washington? I think that incentives for companies that look like the incentives for four-o-one-ks and other retirement savings would be a great place to start. That was Sarah Levy. CEO of betterment with Bloomberg's Emily Chang. And one of the

We are previewing the NFL season with Chris collinsworth, the lead game analyst for NBC Sunday Night football. He'll be on the call along with Mike tirico to kick off the season on Thursday, September 8th for the Buffalo Bills and the Los Angeles Rams. And on top of doing Sunday Night football for NBC, Chris is also a majority owner, a pro football focus, or PFF, which has become one of the best known NFL analytics companies. And Damien, we were talking about his app and how many fantasy football fans can't live without. Yeah, you really can't, you really can't play fantasy with that access to PFF. I mean, Chris, you have four children. You know, your son Austin was a former football player, team captain at Notre-Dame. Your other son Jack also attended Notre-Dame and he's become a broadcaster, right? I believe he's back at NBC covering Notre-Dame football. I mean, have you ever had the opportunity to work on air with your 27 year old son Jack and do you have any plans to do so? We sound so much alike. That people would have no idea which one was which if we ever did a game together. So I've been told repeatedly any thoughts you may have that one day you're going to work with judge. You can just forget about it. We're flooded excited around here. Yeah, so Notre-Dame opens up with a phenomenal game against Ohio State. Huge. Unfortunately, that one's not on NBC. But because it's at Ohio State, but they come back and week two and play Marshall. And that will be the world debut for one Jack collinsworth, working with Jason Garrett and calling the Notre-Dame games. So yeah, we're a little pumped about that. I love that. We're going to look forward to that. I have a question for you that that's more bigger picture and something that I've always been curious about. Whenever we look at football clubs or any sports franchise for that matter, the NFL clubs are always on top, right? Because we know that this is the sport that everyone gets excited about. And all the other leaves are emulating. But when I look at the most valuable franchise in the NFL, it's the Dallas Cowboys. Why is that when the team hasn't won a Super Bowl since the mid 90s? What makes it so valuable? Yeah, well, a lot of things go into that valuation too, right? The stadium that they build. It's the ownership of the parking. It's the practice facility. I mean, they basically build an entire city around their practice facility. The star and as much money as Jerry has made off of the football team and off of building the stadium, I've heard that the money that he's made off of owning everything around this practice facility is like the biggest thing he's ever made money on. And having been on his yacht a couple of times. I might be prone to believe that's meant to be true. But the Dallas Cowboys for better for horse, I can't always explain it, but if you gave NPC the option of any game that we could call every single week of the season. I think the numbers would still tell you that if you did nothing but cowboys games, you would have the highest rating. Interesting. Yeah, it's unbelievable because of exactly some of the things that you just said. They have not been in the Super Bowl in a long time. They've not won a Super Bowl in a long time. But in part, because of Jerry and part because of a generation of people that are football fans today who grew up watching Troy Aikman and Emmitt Smith and Michael Irvin when those three championships, we still have so many cowboy fans around the country and even those who hate the Dallas Cowboys. Guess what? Stay tuned in to watch them get beat every week. Yeah. I mean, it works for us both ways. So whatever reason you tune in, we're just happy you're there. I got to talk to you about the booth. If this is the first season in a while, where Al Michaels will not be your partner, Al Michaels went on to Amazon, but Mike tirico will be there. It's kind of like, okay, I'm going to trade this bar gold for this bar of gold, but you're going to, it's going to be a great season for you guys.
