This niners team is back to what they have been. Like when they were finishing the season last year, they had a super banged up backfield. They had some injuries along the offensive line, but they had a really good, fast, effective secondary, a great front four, and they had Jimmy working with debo in the backfield, kittle and I you down the field. They tried to change everything in the off season and then you get a couple of injuries and all of a sudden look what they are. It's Jimmy kittles probably coming back for this game. Deebo is going to have to take a lot of hand offs because there's no Elijah Mitchell. They're back on a script that they know, going against the Denver team that I think they beat in both trenches. Denver, defensive line is good, not that good, the interior's really got to be able to beat the San Francisco interior, and that's not where they have their pass rushers. And then the San Francisco defensive line, I think it's going to have a good day against the Denver offensive line. So this reads me like a San Francisco win, but it's understandably close. It is a mile high game in September. So with the edge now in San Francisco, I wouldn't touch it. Niners minus one and a half. You get to bet against Kyle Kyle Shanahan against that hack and PI. Get that going. The thing is that the Hackett solutions are so easy that they're going to come. He's going to get better at some point. So it feels like it feels like not a bottomless pot of gold. I think that team is going to dominate the Vikings in the offensive trenches, and they're going to have a nice walk in the park on the offensive side of the wall. "When things are not going perfect around him, he's not the guy to lift up his team, the run game was nonexistent for San Francisco, which is, you know, a very different kind of thing for them. And I also agree with you about Shanahan, you know, you look at the run game, you look at the defense unable to make some key plays, the tart drop on the give me pick by Stafford. The only two sacks for that San Francisco defensive front, which is, you know, one of the best fronts in football, they were awful on third down. I think the rams were like 11 for 18 on third down. So the defense didn't show up as well as they usually do. The run game wasn't there like it's always been for Jimmy G and when it's on Jimmy G's shoulders, he just can't get it done. Shanahan, you know, George kittle at the end of the year, he was not utilized the way he should be. He was not targeted nearly enough. And this game he had two catches for 27 yards. What is that about? And, you know, the conservative play calling from Shanahan backfired. He's been conservative all year long. And on third and two to give the ball to you check up the middle when you have debo Samuel and Elijah Mitchell and George kittle. That's the wrong time there. And the fourth and two decision from the LA 45 in the fourth quarter to pump that football. Totally agree. That's what Shanahan's been all about. He's very similar to Belichick. They've gotten they've gotten a different identity defensively. I think they'll be better equipped to handle it. That said, the fact that Elijah Mitchell is rolling now, along with debo Samuel, you essentially have in the forty-niners maybe the best two back backfield remaining in the playoffs right now. I mean, outside of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon, I mean, you really do have a whole lot of talent there. And it probably comes down to Jimmy Garoppolo, whether he's able to give you a professional grade performance or not. All right, let's continue our journey back in time to the early one on Sunday. Eagles Buccaneers. I don't know, Connor. I mean, we were looking forward to this one being a little more interesting than it actually was. And look, I was surprised, we did our mid week show and we talked a little bit about how the bucks run defense, maybe I slid back a little bit and Levante David has been out, et cetera, et cetera. And we'll not do David end up suiting up. And all of a sudden it looks like Todd Bowles has his full complement of players and as much as we look at his bucks team and say, oh, you know, Antonio Brown is going now and Chris Godwin's out for the year and they're running out of weapons, et cetera, et cetera, this was a team that rode to the Super Bowl on the strength of their defense last year. And now all of a sudden, for the first time, really since the season opener, Todd Bowles has his full complement of players back in the lineup. Yeah, and you're seeing them lean on those strengths and what was so interesting was not only were the Buccaneers kind of struggling, but the Buccaneers were struggling specifically against perimeter runs. And that was Philadelphia's bread and butter going into this game, which is why I thought no brainer. I mean, they're going to cover at the very least and they're going to give this team a game. And it was really, for those of you who didn't watch, I mean, it's 31 15. I mean, it was 31 nothing at half time. This game wasn't remotely close. And it was sorely disappointing because little peak behind the curtain. I had an eagles column that I really wanted to write an editor Mitch said I couldn't write it unless they got the game within ten points. And so I powdered and I powdered and I didn't want to write about the Buccaneers. And so it was a real bummer for me. But I ended up just writing about the Buccaneers anyway. But 8 rushes for 39 yards for Jalen hurts, miles Sanders to have 7 carries for 16 yards. That's a big boy performance from the Buccaneers and that that is what they do exceptionally well. In addition to have to have Vaughn come around in their own running game, I think adds a different dynamic there..

In fact, his worst professional game they got beat 38 3 by the scenes. We get more into the NFL, but a lot of quarterbacks coming and they got to get that figured out. You've got to hit that It's one cut and it's downhill and you go and Trey sermon is got to figure out how to run this system. Now he ran a lot of it. At Ohio State. He ran at Oklahoma who did and eventually But he's got to hit it harder the way Elijah Mitchell hits it, and he just hits it and he's got great speed. Rain of 433. I think that the running back position even though I love Mostert and and really think He's going to be critical, but they did. Such a good job in the off season of of creating depth and running back was one of those positions, obviously, by drafting the two that they did, and Mitchell like you said, literally good and Tasty. Hasty is Tim Wood column is a guy that I think can connect, you know, carry the load and from college to the pros through the annals of time. Guys come into the league and they can play young. Well, it's just one of those positions. The problem with their it was it was probably in my estimation, the corner spot the least of your depth. Even though you took the two rookies angry. Thomas took 2020 off, I think is going to take some time. Lindores interesting. He played well. If it's Mosul and Lynn are okay, and then you got a couple of veterans. But in corner makes me nervous because it was one of the few positions maybe receiver being the other that you weren't As as high on as far as the depth offensive line defensive line all these different places that they got the depth the quarterback position, they said. We're not going to get beat by this lack of depth again. But corner was one of those spots where you held your breath. So I'm okay with the running backs, at least in the short term.
