"The mason minute. With Kevin mason. I've been a sports fan all of my life, but I've actually gone from being more of a rabid sports fan to just a casual fan over the years. But the other night when I heard the news about the new ESPN Monday Night Football mega cast with Peyton and Eli Manning, I had to check it out. And I think I saw the future of sports broadcasting. With that said, I actually did sports play by play in college, thought about doing it professionally, but I saw it the other night and said this is where we're going. Sure, there may always be a play by play guy at professional like what I once was, but sitting there listening to two guys just casually watching a game and then all the plays don't really matter. But what they said mattered more. It may not be patent in Eli which everybody say it works because their brothers and works so well together. But imagine just doing this with all different sports. Having different ways to watch the game. Sure, there may be one traditional play by play going, but imagine being able to do this with a lot of pro players and having visitors come in and out and being a part of the gang. Feel like you're right there with them on the couch or in the bar hanging out and having a good time. That's only ten games this football season on Monday night, but I think it's going to be huge.

"They abandoned that pretty quickly and figure it out. Maybe they ran a bits But they wanna stay settled in. They were just talking about football. And even with charles barkley. There were doing football stuff at a couple of hoops questions. Stuff like that. But i would say that you know. Once once payton got into array the brain pressure mode or getting angry being offended at at durres cars bad play. That's what i thought. It really took off if they keep the football the centerpiece of this show. I told that's what they know best. It's not like some stretch for them But they're also gonna be funny and engaging back the travis chelsea's on right now is a lot better than if you remember the monday night. Football years where they had like christian slater in the booth. Yeah it was. You don't didn't need that. We need more travis kelsen absolutely. You realized immediately. Well why peyton manning has been the number one prospect for every single networks for years. Now he's really good at talking about football allies also really good at talking about football. I think the big surprise for me from jumped tonight was at paint was really good at kind of doing play by play. In addition to being the analysts like it was very big brother. Little brother where he's like. No no. I got this. I'm i'm right. I'm gonna i'm gonna let you come in ray them and i'll let you come in a little bit of that. Podcast vibe where you're the listener and you're like why is it that one podcast host leading the other host talk and on. He was fired up. He was going but he was really good at talking about what was happening on the screen. Like setting it up like this happen and then let me tell you why this happened. He was doing both jobs next. Episode peyton is going to do a fifteen minute mark merrin style monologue dobrev game for the first four. Payton is bringing you that is. That's what's happening today. It felt and then i felt like seventy who tweeted at me. They're like peyton cannot be discharged up for three hours right. Thank you just get ahead dob. Both they're both great. I'm glad i think the host of this show. Obviously there are a lot of amazing candidates. I'm actually glad that just a free flowing conversation between those two and bringing the third i would. I would as much as i'm enjoying this. I'd watch the guests. We don't need to overbook the guests here. The best part of it is eli and peyton watching.

"Flaws we don't want a pit Picnics we will here in a little bit But i i i love. This is a football consumer as somebody who still loves the game This concerns. I have that like my parents might be confused by this. I'm not the core audience. Kyle fuller anecdote to me is gold. I love the bowler anecdotes. My parents are the reason that like sixty million people watching. Afc championship game. And i. i don't know how it plays to as as the old saying goes peoria right now. Okay so i'm going to ask you about that. Because i think i had this thought coming in that they were gonna go really brought you know peyton and eli manning or the kind of people that are parents no combat the the like tiny number of athletes. My mom could be like. I know who that is. I kinda thought it was going to be very celebi and very you know we're talking some ball but we're also talking to you know talk. Does you know some guy from a movie or will ferrell. Whoever it is and they were going to be going for just calm. We're going to go viral. We're going to do this. We'll be on. We'll get stuff on. Gm a ripe some clips. They can show. This was a lot of football. This it was pretty heavy x.'s. Anos right out of the gate with peyton standing in front of the white board. Was it not almost immediately and to the point. It was strange. There was so much football that there was not a focus on a football if that makes them not a focus on the football that was actually happening and they've sold out pretty quickly so i if if people weren't watching immediately peyton put the gruden visor. On within thirty seconds he goes to the whiteboard. He's doing five or six things that were obviously pre but the problem is is like you know as as the old saying goes life is what happens what you're making plans and there was a football game happening. And they had some some some stuff ready to go. And they were missing the beginning of snaps. They were talking about things.

"Nothing much other than the few wins. Just kidding no. I think there will be a good team Saquon barkley come back. I think that'll help him out Daniel jones has a lot to prove people ready to run him out of new york if he doesn't advanced him and make them look like a team that could compete in division. Dave gettleman saying based on players he signed in picked. I think that they will compete. Though i liked joe judge competitive nature as a head coach. they're probably they're probably nine. I would say probably nine ten win type team. Nine or ten wins really. That's what i think. I think they're anonymous. Say i thought that before the preseason what bothers men okay you could talk about like what you can and can't tell the preseason what bothers me so much though you come into a job if you're gettleman and you know what the issue is. It's the old line year in and year out. It's the offensive line. You say that's your priority. You gotta fix that. That's what you say. The introductory press conference hog. Molly's you gotta fix the line guys. It's not just that. They miss on draft. Picks like they pass up. Better lineman for less reliant in first round flowers and thomas. it's they also don't cutch coach up because like flowers leaves the giants now. He's a starting tackle. he's pretty good. He was no good with them so the line. Both from drafting and development remains a glaring weakness. Jay and i'd love to believe key that they could win ten games and i thought maybe they could before i saw the light and the preseason again yeah only their second. This is on the second unit. Second time around with this office staff. So you gotta give them an opportunity to develop those guys think about it. They fired offense. Allying coach in the middle of the season. Every team in this division has weaknesses for sure. Right so i understand. I've harped about the line for a long time. It is what it is right now. You gotta go out there and do what you gotta do what you got so if i look at the giants of saying okay struggles a little but we still have a lot of offense of talent. Defense is middle of the pack defensively. They got better be good if they got a lot. Better last year. Right okay so eagles. Are we putting him in that conversation. Continue division not really. We're not sure to upset with jalen hurts. Defense we talk about the dallas cowboys always being a glaring issue. What they bring to the table offensively and in washington. What do they get offensively. We're ryan patrick. So look i think this is a division of questions about a lot of teams and it's about which team can actually grow them. I think the potential there for dallas and for the giants are probably higher. Because i don't know if. I see ripest patrick really going to another level this year insulate for to washington football up. Look who we have. We have a man now. Ladies and gentlemen who five thirty eight when they were on. Espn once did a thing. Who's the most clutch quarterback in the history of postseason. Eli wanted by their metrics. They invented by so much they redid it. They said no. No one can be this far ahead of everyone else. They actually redid the way they did it. And guess who one ally again but this time. It was close over joe montana and areas the most clutch quarterback to five thirty in the history of football in the playoffs. Eli welcome to the show and thank you for winning. Those two super bowls as the giants fan never gotten to do that for you. Personally thanks for coming. Max regret be grabby on with you guys. You were with Daniel jones as a rookie. And we've heard a lot of people think that he can take that step forward this season. What are you expecting from the giants quarterback this year i do. I think he will be able to take that step forward. Just because i think the fact that it is his second year within this offense last year you know a new offense new head coach. New offense coordinator. He's a young quarterback and it's not just him. It's a new left tackle. They were trying to learn. New offense new lou saquon early just a lot of things that were that. Make it tough. I think the fact that you know had a more of an off season this year. you know. Build that relationship with coach geared And they've put some weapons behind them getting sake one back at the offense line would be better in their second year so i i've seen firsthand just how hard daniel works. I know how important it is to own for him to be a successful player. I know he knows this year is a big year form. But he's not that's not going to put pressure on admits that is going to make him Excel and do better. So i'm rooting form And i think he has the work ethic the skill set to make those plays now. He's he's made the mistakes he's gonna learn from those and i think he can go out there and have a big year alive hadn't haven't played in this league for very long time and having success that you had you know the importance of having a dominant running back in a running game. Would you play saquon barkley and week one. If he's healthy. Assume you know. I've always wondered why. Why sit some guy week. One and also their plan. You know week to their full. Go what what's happening and that one or two weeks after his head you know Ten months to recover. So i know the giants will be sparked. And do it's right but if he's rain to play i think you've got to get them out there getting reps and whether he's a starter where you might not get thirty carries week one but you know just to get them in the game. Get his confidence going. Get his feel back going catching the football field and the rush taken a hit. All those things need to happen. A little bit for him Just to get back in the feel of things. So he's such a dominant player They need him To be successful this year running. The football catching the football. And then when he's on the field it changes the game plan Of the defense and they got to prepare for different things and so it should open up other players. And they have the skill set on the outside kinney golladay and sterling shepard seven-day grim and these guys to get them get them the ball. Let them make some plays. Eli speaking of skill. Set you and your brother pay. Have a skill set which will be on display on monday night football. Which we're all excited to pay. Attention to the raiders versus the ravens. What kind inside can you provide about. What what would that feel like for you. You and your brother to be on the same talking about football some nazem doing all your lives. Yeah you know it's it'd be fun just the fact that you know i. I don't think i've watched the monday night. Football with my brother in twenty five years since he was probably in high school and And we would watch together and so the fact that he'll be doing it from denver. I'll be doing it from from a house in new jersey. But we'll still be on the couch ethic..

And guys i watched the speech and i gotta tell you something man that was emotional for me and it's not because of anything jeeter said jeeter gave his standard. Ceo speech right. He didn't step in anything he was. He hit all the right. Not set all the right things but i don't think he said anything that would move someone normally emotionally except that there's something about baseball at least for me. My dad show three years old. I was grown when geeta broke into the bigs and he helped restore the yankees brand to the dominant position in baseball right. They were good sometimes not good. Other times they wanna world some world series in the seventy but they were like a lot of other teams over the last several decades before jeter got there. Then he turned back into the yankees along with others bernie williams and other mariano rivera but they were a dominant. A win won the world series like every year right. There's something about watching a guy come into the league. You're grown when that happens and now you're at the age i'm at the age of forty eight years old. I'm watching his hall of fame speech and he played twenty years so as he's talking i'm thinking about the way it's connected emotionally by the way my life has changed the people in my life that were. "Little bit a little talk about a cutback there you go that little ones cutting back so we started off the show. I think we started a long time ago already. How many hours ago cowboys and bucks tonight. Obviously i mean what a great way to to kick off the nfl season with. The you know the cowboys on the road against the defending champs. Unfortunately zack martin probably ain't gonna play. He's and allow collins has been banged up. So the right side of that cowboys offensive line kind of like the cowboys have built in. Excuse if they lose especially the defending champs on the road but man they got a lot to gain by the cowboys. And i really see a lot of pressure on the bucks to win meantime who does have more to gain this weekend The cowboys against the box or a team that you mentioned earlier in the show. When asked that question the browns against the team that lost the super bowl the chiefs key. Who has more to gain. I think dallas cowboys. They got more to gain when you when you look at it. Our count the browns. They've gotten over a little bit of a hump right. Obviously the organization long time suffering organization get to the playoffs. They did that last year and they won. Okay baker mayfield. Kevin fancying company one. They lead the charge. Now the dallas cowboys dak prescott. What being america's team. They had won the super bowl in decades. Now you have an opportunity to chance you gave a guy hundred plus million dollars guaranteed money. Everybody's paid there's no major issues there now. You have an opportunity to go in beat the defending super bowl champion tampa bay buccaneers on a night. That they're probably going to be dropping the banner in their stadium on a thursday night nationally. Televised game you could roll right into that stadium in upset the apple cart. How about that. How about them. Count more to gain even in the browns against the chiefs jay. I'm still. I'm becoming torn out here key. Talk about dallas cowboys. If he wrote you because they are the biggest underdog on. Nfl board going into week one and the spread keeps going up. The line keeps going up. Start at six and a half. They were the buccaneers. I mean because evan told me this yesterday. The buccaneers are six six and a half point favorites and now they are eight and a half point favorite so it does make the cowboys do win. I think the hysteria will be crazy. I just don't if the cowboys do. When i still don't look at the cowboys if somebody to contend for a super bowl but if the browns were to be kansas city knowing that if kansas city's own was intact last year i do believe they would beat the buccaneers that i'm gonna start talking about the browns as it. Legit super bowl was interesting to me about that. Difference of opinion right there. Is that both of your analysis to me. Sounds the same. But you're coming to very different conclusions. I have the same analysis. The cowboys are not as real a threat as the browns right now and the cowboys have a much bigger fan based it's easily excited right but you're reaching different conclusions. You know key is saying there for the cowboys. Or that's one of the cowboys have more to gain because there's going to be enormous fan base but i actually see the same analysis but my conclusion is therefore it means more to the browns. The cowboys are gonna lead. Sports shows all your regardless right. I don't think the cowboys even if they beat the bucks week want it means that. They're going to contend for the super bowl but the browns psychologically j. key the browns finally beat big brother last year. They beat the steelers last week of the season. They beat the steelers in the playoffs. That means to browns fans and the browns are not one of these teams can be relevant no matter what they got to win to be relevant. They are loaded if they can follow up what they did last year after losing to the cheapest by one score by beating the chiefs by beating kansas city. Week one to me. There's more to gain from that. Even if kansas city was a lose most people are still pick them to win. Go to the super bowl. Because they've lost before they lost gains before and still going to the super bowl so it's not a surprise for them the dallas cowboys on the other hand. You say they get attention anyway. Yeah they do but imagine that they beat the super bowl champions. When was the last time the dallas cowboys really beat eighteen. That was relevant in the national football league. Not in a very very long time so this would rally all of the dallas cowboys haters as well as their fan base to a whole 'nother level. You're talking about intensity you watch it and see if they win this game tonight. What the airway say tomorrow on this. Show max kellerman as you say you exactly what he's doing a good mac a i understand what he means about. Even if the chiefs lose still a lot of people will pick them. But that's because the chiefs have that's a question of how much do they have to lose or gain but if we're focusing on what the browns have to gain beating the chiefs. I think there's a lot. There was some different storylines right. What is baker. Mayfield half the gain if he beats patrick mahomes. Mvp guy is still waiting to see if he's going what his extension is going to look like. Right i mean we were conversation a couple days ago. I think it was dan. Graziano maybe their franchise tag him. That's where we are. We're bigger mayfield or oh. Bj one of the most polarizing players to come back and play in the league. Do they hit their stride off. Pensively what is this ceiling for this offense if they hit their stride were jarvis landry even know considering their run the offense. It's i'm with the browns. And because i think what does for cleveland fan base. They never have really something to believe in before. Like i feel dow. Always there are always believing douse it gives them extra credence here. But with the browns it could be another love. That's what it is for me. Look if go to the phones who else has a lot to gain on week one. We go to dr pepper call in line. But that's what it is for me. It's belief dallas cowboys fans belief. Believe even in the face of the facts say otherwise. Cleveland browns fans the boy. They needed reason to believe denison delaware. Dennis.

When i still don't look at the cowboys if somebody to contend for a super bowl but if the browns were to be kansas city knowing that if kansas city's own was intact last year i do believe they would beat the buccaneers that i'm going to start talking about the browns as it. Know key is saying there for the cowboys. Or that's one of the cowboys have more to gain because there's going to be enormous fan base but i actually see the same analysis but my conclusion is therefore it means more to the browns. The cowboys are gonna lead sports. Shows all your regardless right. I don't think the cowboys even if they beat the bucks week want it means that. They're going to contend for the super bowl but the browns psychologically j. key the browns finally beat big brother last year. They beat the steelers last week of the season. They beat the steelers in the playoffs. That means to browns fans and the browns are not one of these teams can be relevant. No matter what they got to win to be relevant they are loaded. They can follow up what they did last year. After losing to the east by one score by beating the chiefs by beating. Kansas city. Show max kellerman. You say you exactly what he's doing a good mac a i understand what he means about. We're big feel or oh. Dennis.

Most famous sibling sets in sports history label. You can't talk about popular sibling athletes without mentioning peyton. And eli manning. Two of the best. Nfl quarterbacks to ever play the game. Although there now retired they were both named super bowl. Mvp and are both predicted to be inducted into the pro football hall of fame. While peyton is commonly thought of as the better talent ee lie has an additional super bowl championship to hold over his big brother's head so that might make family dinners a little bit awkward holdovers from clean competitive football dog in this fight but when it comes to famous sports sisters. No one can compare with tennis superstars. Venus and serena williams the to have had an intense rivalry for decades in two thousand seventeen serena beat venus in the australian open and made history as the first woman to win twenty three grand slam titles combined the sisters have thirty grand slam singles titles and nine olympic medals. Eli Manning and the Hall of Fame: The case for and against

"Ally manning thing announced his retirement on Wednesday retiring after sixteen seasons. He's thirty nine years old The giants quarterback who was of course supplanted by Danny dimes. This year but was a rock for for many years is now heads into retirement and it makes sense Meena In fact as a New York I all my friends are giant spans. I was on a tax change just the day before this news broke. And we're talking about that. Allies GonNA retire probably soon. Because when you look at the landscape with all these older quarterbacks on the market and what allies allies been doing the last couple of years. It never made sense that he was going to find a place to start games or perhaps he didn't want to be a backup. So this all made sense but still it. It is the end of an era in New York. I would love nothing more to come in here and defy I. I think what you all know. I'm about to say about Eli Manning I should not be wh- down calls US football cools right. Yeah I would love to say you know what guys you can't tell the story of football without Eli Manning which by the way why why is he the only person who gets that benefit say that about anyone else other than Eli. There's a lot of guys you can't tell the story of football without Aaron Hernandez put them in the hall of fame or if you want to look at pat super we were both. I mean they don't want any of them without dont`a hightower that's a holiday thing. Greg is compared. Eli Manning to know first. Ten Sahal Hyphen reductionist could be just one thing. You consider about a candidate quite well the few want ally in the holly. It's either two cases. One one is longevity. which is I think? A lot of people throw out. Because there's just too many guys who would get in by that and then the other is the two super bowls in the story thing. That's just not about how I would define it. It just becomes an argument. About how do you define the hall of fame. I think in my case against him has always been and yeah. I've been making this case for probably eight or nine years. So this is how long he's been average He's just been averaged entire career. Average in completion percentage yards per attempt. He's actually really way. Below average in the law of the interception categories passer rating these average. He's just for the time he entered the league to the time he left the league. He was an average quarterback over or that span. I I still don't like that being the conversation though when he retired. I we've had this argument so many times that I think we're just tired of it like we've said everything that there is to say about. Eli Manning in the Hall of Famer Eli Manning in general that. I actually was annoyed almost yesterday that that's the conversation when a really great player who was a big part of the league in you know no matter whether he was a top five quarterback no he never was maybe in two two thousand eleven. I went through it once. I think I had him at a top five quarterback one year top ten quarterback only one other your. Yeah that's not the hall of fame but like immediately the second he retires. The entire conversation is like the start of the public hall of fame. Talk which is GONNA be. Never any people are so confident about what's going to happen you don't I know what's going to happen becoming. We were like you know he will be in. It's like you don't know that I think the manning name like this is not a new thought but just that we've talked about royalty and stuff that he's sort of this. NFL Family fixture that. The people voting for this. I think they're gonNa Push Eli Manning right in not maybe. CBS voters down. The conversation depends on who he's against. Though you're really does. Conversation will be never ending for five years then going in. I'm sorry I don't listen you. Everybody discounts counting stats and cory will get too caught up or only point at the two rings and the two superbowl. MVP's but I just think there's something that'd be so if he didn't win those super bowls he's he's not he's not going to have him. I get that but there's something to be said and it's always been feel overlooked both on this podcast aspect in general. Because Eli can be a target. I feel like on twitter that the giants drafted him or the chargers. Technically but the giants Brought him into the team in two thousand four. They put him in the lineup in around October that year and then they never had to think about the quarterback position again for the next ten eleven eleven twelve years and I know things didn't end very well but they should have been thinking about it so when you're when you're talking about right ten years okay I'm GonNa say ten years when you think about other teams about your Brown's Mark My jets so many other teams in the league that go through constant search a churn looking for a guy and you end up with a stop. Stopgap and a rookie. You stinks and then a stop Gat and then another rookie. And maybe you hit on something. Like the SEAHAWKS got Russell Wilson. They don't have to think about anything. Russell Wilson's a better player than the but he eli for ten twelve years. They put him in there. He did his job. He was not spectacular but he was steady. You never had to worry about him getting hurt because he never did. He's the most durable the player ever. You'd never had to worry about him saying stupid something stupid to the media. He always handled that very well. You never had to worry about him. Getting into like a behind the scenes drama with with a coach and exploding and him being at odds and using the media to get a point across and all that stuff he was a Walter Payton Man of the year guy he was a total title. Good Dude and in those playoff runs. Then you factor that in for me. He rose up in historic way. And then just beat. Anybody didn't beat the Jacksonville. We'll jaguars didn't beat a Pittsburgh. steelers heat the Patriots and he'd be Bill Bell Check and he'd beat Tom Brady. And if if that's not something that should be given added points knowing who the Patriots are and what they represent in this era of NFL football. I'm sorry I disagreed to just kind of view that uh-huh yeah beat the Patriots. No he beat the greatest team of all time the greatest quarterback in the greatest head coach. I think that means a lot. His team did right playing. Okay Ah in that Super Bowl. I don't think he would say he had the best game. Even the play he's known for is crazy play. That could never be replicated. The two twenty eleven run is what I remember most fondly. Va Man. I think people kind of forget that won the last game of the regular season that they played it was against the cowboys and then the three league games in the NFC playoffs and that Super Bowl he had a collection of some of the most improbable. Low percentage awesome throws goes for five weeks. Stretch that you'll ever see Joe flacco kind of had a somewhat similar run any add little moments like that the year after they won the Super Bowl two thousand eight. He was really good throughout the year but they didn't win the Super Bowl because if eli manning they want it because of their defense I mean they wanna because of Justin Tuck and he learned of it. It's equally reductive to me to say. They won because of the argue he was part of it took to get into the. I mean the kind of connected back to the HIGHTOWER. No one's out here making a case for hightower you kind of do you. You like to throw this one in. I is the single most important outside of Brady and Gronk like the Patriots. Don't have this run of Super Bulls without dont`a hightower. I think I don't think belongs in the hall of fame but you could every all of the cases were making for. Eli You could just as easily make for like twenty other other random playwright quarterback a case you've made for you. I think is the case. Why he's a great memorable? NFL figure. It's just that's different than in. Our weather also talked about about it forever his position he was not a top ten quarterback. I would say for every year but two of his career. There's no one in the hall of fame you can say they've also said forever. You're in West. You've quoted Vince Lombardi on this that the quarterback it just the most important for a position or a position where the spotlight as and that comes with way. More pressure To it then dot high tower where his position is. I just think what you I was able to do in that spot in those two years is something you can't take away from. I and and say oh he was carried to titles. Because I don't I just don't see it that way. I think you've you stated the case very well. I think it falls shy of the hall of fame. I think if you're a jets fan like Dan or you're the browns fan and you've seen nothing but Ship wrecked chaos at the quarterback position. That the the idea that you would draft someone who would play as Eli did before a PR stunt got him benched you know. Couple of years twelve years of sixteen starts and by the way we are stunned. Got Him benched. He got himself well. That's fine but I'm saying but also the disrespect I just giants fan and you draft draft Philip rivers and he. He did what he did. But you get Eli Manning out of it and you know. He's going to win two super bowls in essentially a total ironman at the position. He's a hall of fame to a lot of giants fans I get. I don't think he belongs to the meeting. Early either reading a story just reading up on allies career. I completely forgot the whole two thousand seventeen. Eli the Elite?

"Of course we will start with the news that came late yesterday and that is Eli Manning's decision. Chew retire he calls it a career after sixteen. NFL seasons the official announcement will come at a press conference tomorrow morning. He played his entire career with the giants. Why is he won? Two Super Bowls and let the franchise in every passing category. Here is now some reaction to his decision from around the league allows a great fierce competitor man and to be able to play hollow for sixteen seasons. It's a really tough. It's really tough. He's a super bowl. Champion are playing him my rookie year. He almost got me benched because he was lighting up and taking advantage of my. You know my my rookie. Youth is consistent steady throughout his whole career and obviously have a ton respect more. Aw Man he's got so much to be proud of and two super bowl championships. You know with two clutch drives the game. You know to win though so he deserves. I think a ton of accredit successor that time and also just a ton of respect from all of his further career he was able to hop. I mean he's got to be in the top ten in most every meaningful statistics when it comes to quarterback play. Okay so you know I got to play against a lot in the NFC east and really observed him. When I came in as a rookie he had just won the Super Bowl? And so I I enjoy it even when I was at the back of watching just observing high went about his business because I said Kay. That's that's the goal. That's where you want to get to. You can't write the NFL store without Eli Manning well said they're manning one of only five players in NFL history to win multiple super bowl MVP's he seventh. All Time and touchdown passes and passing yards arts and start at two hundred and ten consecutive games for two thousand four to two thousand seventeen the third longest streak for quarterback in NFL history. He was always there if the best ability is availability. He had plenty of that Victor. I'll start with you of course as Eli teammate and friends what's the one thing you remember most about. Eli Manning the player just being an iron man just being accountable just being there when you needed him the most we needed someone to make a play when you needed someone to carry the weight of the team on his shoulders. He took it and he never pointed a finger at anyone on the team. Never pointed the blame at anybody else. He always made sure that when loser draw he's GonNa take the pressure and take the heat off the team and bring everybody better and I think that made us respect him. It made us raise our level of play and it and it just made us go out there with a certain Passionate that certain disciplined to go out there and play with this guy because you knew that he was gonNA bring all he had each and every time he stepped out on their football fields and you knew the preparation was where I remember times where Sunday Hyundai after games that Monday morning already in luxury. Mind you that's off day. That's not even a that. We're supposed to be there. He's there studying getting ready for the next game. Getting Ready for the next opponent opponent and just tackling this thing on and commend you e for just everything for this league for the giants and and you know I know you're only gonNA accomplish more things posts a poster right. That was the first chapter. It's interesting perspective because we have teammate and we have opponent I always a different way to look at things. You have some hardware because the things that he was able to do in that super bowl playing against him a few times I could just say this. He's a constant professional going back a couple years ago even last year having to go up and down on with being a starter then being benched not being there you never saw him complainer or have any. Ill will towards his teammates. He was always trying to be the best teammate. He could be So that just represents his character. The type of team eighty is. It was always just trying to do to do the best for his team and congrats on a heck of a career and let's not forget he did it in New York or science which is not the easiest place to for that length of time with that kind of grace and I know you had a chance to talk to a lot of players today and late yesterday about what else legacy bid. Yeah I gotTa Tell You. It's probably one of the easiest questions I had to ask players about because the answers just came to everyone so quickly because everyone has so so many good stories about Eli and everyone loves to throw in there that he so unassuming he's unwavering and it's it's sometimes I think looked at I and some of the players said this as maybe perhaps a negative connotation because he's not flashy He's got this ability to go out there and running offense and not look physically scary when he does it put the respect is there. I talked to Shawn Watson for almost fifteen twenty minutes about Eli Manning specifically and he said you know I remember number for me going to the manning camps and getting the award and he taught me so many different things about football but he pulled me aside right before I got into the League and talked me about highs and lows and how many I'm about to be part of and in order for me to have six. I gotTA figure out a way to stay in between like I've I just thought of that. I thought of that conversation in moments when things have gotten really bad for me. So I if manning obviously having a tremendous effect on young quarterbacks in old ones as drew brees talk about it there's there's no question is he a hall of Famer absolutely. I think that when you look at obviously the two superlatively fees Only one he's one of the five people that have to Suba. MVP's and you know. I just think his legacy and the things that he left out on their football field. I mean it has to be have to take that into account and I just think he is all of Famer in in my book. I watched the Guy Work Day in and day out. He put the work into a hall of Famer and he put the work in to be even the conversation to be in the hall of fame. You know to this day so I think he absolutely gets Gets a deserves I. Yeah I think so as well look. There's a lot more variables that go into a team and you look at some of the years that they struggled in New York. It's not all allies fault right. There's other things in place there that make a team successful. So with the time he was there he was very good and he brought to Super Bowl so that organization an MVP two times. That's impressive so his body works speaks for itself. I think those players teammates journalists were so close to it. We we constantly talk about how great he is is and he's such a professional and and I think for fans it's hard to understand what we're talking about because we're in it with him. Were in the locker room. You guys are out on the field and you're just a significant -nificant difference when you put together a career the way he has dealt with good in the bed in New York with those cameras in his face and always be the same guy. After all these years I think for me he gets in Beeson the character the man. He isn't of course the fact that he was able to bring the I tell you what I liked that he got that one last start to. I'm not going to lie. It's really nice to be able to walk with the. He deserved that. I still get. I get chills and so Congratulations Eli Manning.

"I'm not saying it's Josh has is this was a coach Abano. He's the guy that you facts or do. You not want this big J journalism here. I'll tell you what this we are the standard standard of journalism but if you're GONNA be Jim Harbaugh and makes seven larger year don't Josh Gaddis. I told you the truth of what was going on and I don't disagree with. You and they've got to fix what's going on the short yardage. Okay so Michigan struggled. I know last couple of games in short yardage and that's not acceptable acceptable in particular for our team team which has been great at that and of course the last year. Let's do a big game big game Friday and Saturday to settle powers in college football despite what all these Senate seven Notre Notre Dame Alabama. You're including Notre Dame. I've sat on this couch when you're like. Notre Dame's never going to start over go ahead to seven biggest brands randy okay thank you clarify. Texas Oklahoma Notre Dame Michigan Ohio State Alabama and USC. I see okay. USC LOSES TO UTAH on Friday and they're an underdog. It's over there looking for new coach because they go to Washington and Notre Dame after that yeah yeah. They're scheduled coming up tonight. Let's just let stop. Don't tell me it's Joel Ganassi's fault of USC Loses Josh First of all okay. I'm not telling you that with the US Ray Gaddis has now now. The problem with Michigan Football Got News for you loses Friday. Go get a new coach Do you really want to do that without the yeah. No you're not saying so you put a roof on a house before you have a foundation of course you don't call in common cart before the Horse. No coach can work for an that didn't hire him so I've told uh I told you this last week. You're dead wrong by the way you're dead wrong on this. You can't go and solidify the coaching spot without first solidifying athletic director. I'm not saying you fire Clay Hilton Friday. I'm saying but you make a decision as an organization. He makes that decision the president. That's what they get paid for yet again. I believe if you pay somebody six six million. They got a responsibility to take the if I'm the president. This is what I'm doing at USC. I'm finding I'm concentrating one hundred percent of my effort as it relates to the athletic department it to finding the best possible athletic director so that that person can then make that decision I do. I call my biggest boosters how much money you got in your atm mm-hmm. That's what they've been doing for the last decade. That's why they wound up with. All of these guys weren't great athletic directors but everyone thought like hey big name played was for the program. He's a Trojan. How'd that work out for you. USC Boy you've got a lot of spite their you live here. You think fifty minutes from your house. You think you'd route from a little you drive by a camp. I don't root for anybody buddy what are you. This is big J journalism. You don't know maybe maybe Colorado little bit by the way I give you a nice under on that one or a nice upset okay. I'M GONNA K- before I get I want to get to some stuff so years ago. Mason Rudolph played for Oklahoma State. You did a couple of their games. They're games that's right. He had a shootout with Baker Mayfield. WHO's not and not working in the NFL not working. I guess room for three hundred yards. Winning by twenty is not worth you know since he became starter in the NFL raise leads the NFL and interceptions as he's played for like eight games. Listen listen to Peter King. He's a human bakery. GimMe a break. Baker last night was embarrassing it was. I didn't realize winning by twenty and throwing for three three hundred yards in the national football league is embarrassing was not a good look. It wasn't really what is look jets missing seven starters and they rushed rushed for more than you. They had more time of possession and almost as many I I didn't know bicker was responsible for the run game in Cleveland. Okay so let's go to a beeline. I enjoyed Mason Rudolph. Can he play yes. He can play in fact. I thought that that coming out he was one of the best throwers of the football that we had coming out of you said that actually and he's a big strong armed quarterback very accurate down the field was great deep ball thrower in the college ranks but I liked him what I thought he was going to struggle with which would take some time which which was the schematics of the game 'cause Oklahoma state was a little less intricate than let's say in Oklahoma that has produced the other quarterback so we're talking about so we needed some time. Pittsburgh was is the perfect spot for him because of that he could sit and he could learn he could get comfortable in the national football league. I won't be surprised at all if he has some success and he's got the threat it on the outside that he had in college. Which is that Guy James Washing yeah they play together. They played together. They were great. I thought they were at the time the best deep threat in college football combination. He's a very good player. I will not be surprised at all if he has some success all right. Let's go to this Daniel Jones. You gotta you didn't Broadcast Games did not you did. You're a little questionable a bowl of his arm strength. I I was hard on the giants for their pick. I thought it was the wrong place to pick Daniel Jones. If it works out then it was the right place to pick him the thing that I thought about Daniel Jones's. I thought that we had seen the best that Daniel Jones had off right see much upside. I didn't see much potential now having said that he played great in the preseason we season the regular season is far different than the preseason so we'll see how this all plays out in New York. I thought that there were guys with better potential however however I did say at that time he was the most pro ready at the time if you needed a guy to play tomorrow so maybe they're selection of Daniel Jones actually was more of a clue of what they thought a lot of Eli Manning in terms of his long jetty or how long this was actually going to play out in reality because now it's here and it's Daniel Jones Aaron. I think maybe that selection was less about. Hey We just love Daniel Jones and more about hey. This is not gonNa work long term and we're going to need somebody to play within the first three four five weeks of the NFL so you you know it's funny. He actually in a uniform looks like I'm not joking he does. He literally looks like he lime is looking at that picture like he looks like some sort suck he he basically he he throws like he's more athletic version. He's like Alex Smith Straight Line speed. He's not clever like the Mar- but he can run. If you just give him the ball and say gopher thirty yards she can run all right. Let's Segue back to the college football. I'M GONNA teach a couple of lessons here. Let's start with this. I'll teach you you've been very critical of Brian Kelly at Notre Dame to the point point where I'm uncomfortable. I gotTa tell you talking about a lot of time. Linden what I it's a lot of a lot of negativity but it's totally disagree. I'm the one out here defending Notre Dame when you're taking shots at about Oh it's a it's a cold climate. It's a religious undertones and I just don't think that can be great anymore and I'm like no. They're one of the biggest biggest brands and college football and then today all the sudden you're like you've been critical brown color. They're one of the top throw this is this. I'll tell you it's an inquisition. I think this quarterback in book. I think Notre Dame's got a shot at Georgia. I saw the line this morning so it's fifteen. I'm like hires. Notre Dame comply with George. Here's why that line is where it's at. Georgia is an elite rushing team. They're leading the se again two hundred eighty six yards a game on the ground and if you were to look at Notre Dame. They played only two games because they've already had one of their off weeks. They Played Louisville the weakening they they came back their game in the opening Weekends Louisville. The one question mark I had coming out of that game was their run defense. They missed a lot of tackles gave up or too many yards per rush and that was against Louisville and so now you're going to face a team in Georgia that is four superior from a rushing standpoint. That's the concern for me with. Notre Dame and I think that's why the line is where it's at because that's what Notre Dame is going to try to do and that's where Notre Dame has fallen short of bit early in the season but I am. I am absolutely a Brian Kelly defender. I think that Notre Dame is and should be and will be a great program in college football. I like in book I like him. Ian Book is a very good player. There's no doubt about vais stay right now as a program with book as our quarterback with their head coach there in a very Michigan esque type of spot in that they need one one of these winds yeah but I think there are better than Michigan because books better than they beat Michigan last year and I think they're better. I think this book kid. I think I think play in the NFL potentially Patterson's Patterson's not playing in the NFL. Maybe not all I'm saying is that when they've gotten on this stage the national narrative tends to be like well they can't play with the teams in the SEC who this guy is in in book is not Jolie's. He's a better athlete little less of a thrower than Baker Mayfield. He's I think he's really good. He's not he's not the thrower. That Baker is so. Is this a compliment for Baker because you love you know but I think he in books get drafted in the third round. Baker got drafted number one you you got old which which she should. She should have been taken. Let me give you one more or less. I'm just telling you right now. Notre Dame needs one of these from a national playoff perspective narrative. They need one of these wins based based on how they played in the National Championship game a few years ago which is unfair to the current batch of kids there and then how they played last year against Clemson in the semi-final we're not going to you're upset of the week anymore. I saw that's right because I was tuna last week to upstage you by the way I'll do it. It's Oklahoma State Watch out Texas. Oklahoma state is a good football team. Watch out for Oklahoma state awesome. I'll make a lot with the long. Texas wins by twenty all right my lock of the week. You did that spite go rhino. Hey Goulet this morning. What did I come in. What was my lock of the week you yesterday. You said you're on Texas. Yeah my guy a bunch of sources all right. We'll see my sources are impenetrable loser sits with a Cobra next week okay. Finally I want more my sources again. Please might as well give you one so here. It is here's what I told a big shot a CEO CEO of a major corporation in America. They are done with chip Kelly. It's not the record it's not the record is not doing the booster stuff. He's disengaged with recruiting. He's too aloof. He's not part of the family. It's not it's not the losing chip. Kelly is running out of allies is it. UCLA fast. That's interesting because we have not seen what we have not seen in college. Football is guys getting fired for performance reasons in only the two seasons right. That's that's very uncommon but he is seen as so iconoclastic in so sort of aloof. If you don't have allies in a building I don't disagree. Everybody here. Loves me so I'm safe. You're on the road all the time. You need to make more friends here so you're like chip. Kelly you got you got very few Allah. I think he's in trouble..

"Let's have Peter King join us. He's out east and I said when I lived out East for eleven years. I'm a West Coast Guy. I the hundred year old churches the hundred year old baseball parks tradition and hierarchy are more important than out west where we just you know we got big states. Put a piece of dynamite in that casino blowed up and build a new one. That's kind of the West Coast way right you. Just you know Silicon Valley wasn't around thirty years ago. It's a different vibe out east. I think you you have to be more delicate. When you have the veteran quarterback the manning name the hierarchy it matters to the Mara family so how's it plan in New York today. Let's go to Peter King football morning in America the Coward Global Satellite Network. I love to listen to New York sports radio today. I would absolutely love to hear what they're yelling and screaming. How do you think it plays in new ORC. Peter Will Colin. I think you're going to get some people in New York. Both in the media and in the fan base is who say oh poor Eli. He doesn't deserve this but again. I mean it's just time it's two or three years pastime time you know since Eli Manning won his second Super Bowl en la God bless him for winning super bowls with the two teams he did for beating eating the Great Bill Belichick and Brady twice. I talked to Brady a week or so ago and he said that's that the super bowl loss still pains them. Both the Super Super Bowl losses still really paying him and I think the one thing you think about with Eli Manning is you think about those two games. What what do you think about in the seven years since the second super bowl I mean what do you think about you. Think about a guy who has been a mediocre. NFL quarterback right that's sit. It is time to change you know since New Year's Day two thousand seventeen. I think I'm right in saying this since his playoff game in Green Bay Day. He started thirty four games and he's won eight of them. It's just time Colin I mean time waits for nobody in the NFL and and it's time for the giants to move on at quarterback so the steelers to me sent to messages by trading for Minka Fitzpatrick number one they're not giving up on the season and number or to next year is a quarterback heavy draft class in the first round and they're telling me we like Mason Rudolph six five two thirty productive big arm and in northern climate. I'm at Pittsburgh's telling me that. Do you think the season's lost because they're telling me their messaging. Is We still think we can win this division now. This tells me two things number one. They believe that Ben Rothlisberger is GonNa come back and they believe he's going to play at least two more years and I think it says one other thing the Pittsburgh steelers rated Minka fitzpatrick very highly in the draft a couple of years ago how high I don't know five seven eight something like that but it was a very high on their draft board and now they have the opportunity to get in for what they think will be picking number Fifteenth Twentieth. Pick in this draft which I think that's being pretty optimistic that they're Owen to having to play with Mason Rudolph. I think it was a pretty rich price to pay but to me. I think they believe that. Rothlisberger is going to play some more after this year and obviously as you say they they like what they have in Mason Rudolph has what's the most I mean. New England's obviously been amazing and Kansas. City is going to score over twenty five game bank it. Has there been a team team. That's been impressive to you though that maybe isn't getting the publicity so far Baltimore first of all they have a quarterback who now isn't just to running quarterback. He's a guy who can throw the ball very well. Deep Downfield and as long as Hollywood Brown stays healthy which is always going to be a question in with someone as slight as he is They're going to have their own del. Beckham junior their own deep threat who's going to make can impact on every game. He plays in but I also think that one of the reasons why I think Baltimore would be very interesting. Candidate for Jalen Ramsey Z. is that I think they're shutdown corner away from being a very competitive with New England and Kansas City. They're going to be competitive with them anyway but I I think if look Jalen Ramsey is going to cost a lot if the Jaguars even trade him and I don't know if if when you're Baltimore if you look at Jalen Ramsey and say man. DO WE WANNA pay this guy eighteen or twenty million a year. Whatever I don't even know what the number is going eh but it's GonNa be a silly number. Do we WANNA pay that long term but I think Baltimore is is the other really surprise in in a good way to winnow team in the league you know the Rams had the best record last couple of years in the NFL along with New England. I did feel a lot of people thought the saints would come back and punish them. I didn't my strongest belief of the weekend was rams. beat the saints. I'm not a critic of Goff. I saw him out dual Patrick Trick Mahomes on a football game. That was good football games. I've watched in a decade What are we learning about. The Rams Post Super Bowl loss. They got a road win. They beat the saints. They look good to me again. Peter I think the the two things when I visited the rams in camp and spent spend some time with Sean McVeigh. There's two things that really impressed me one is that he was absolutely totally. Unequivocally equivocally all in with Jared Goff air you look at how golf played in the postseason not too good and you look at how the rams performed in the Super Bowl and you say you know maybe they're not ready for that big stage but McVeigh when McVeigh did his contract in late July and when the rams announced it what they didn't announce is that when McVeigh did his contract he said to the rams brass. Hey listen. I you want Jared Goff to get done to. I do not want this to be any sort of question any sort of sort of Damocles hanging over our head so you you know and they got now. Obviously they got golfed onto. That's one thing I think. The second thing it's been really interesting to watch is that this is a very impressive passive defensive team. This is not a team that is just okay on defensive relies too much on Aaron Donald. This is a defense that that is better than we think and they're getting better play. I believe in the first two games out of their corner position than they got last year so I agree with you. I think the rams have an excellent chance to win the NFC again by the way before we go. There were two bad teams last night. One had an excuse I look at the next five games for the browns their opponents or ten in Oh there's a lot of New England's coming up and rams coming up. My gut feeling is right now. Peter I think Cleveland's this thing could unravel fast. They really game shouldn't have been close last night third quarterback for the jets seven starters out. I'M GONNA make could production in three weeks. CLEVELAND UNRAVELS WELL. What did you see last night. I don't think so I mean I think Baker may feel. I I mean we have to remember this is the this is the basically he still in his first year. I mean he's not he's not been a starter. What what does he have eight ten starts under his belt. I mean he's just he still evolving as a player. I think he's going to be okay and I think he's he's actually going to be a very good player in the NFL. Their offensive line concerns me. Yes no question about it. I don't know how they're going to block Aaron. Donald this Sunday I don't i. I don't know we'll see how it happens. I don't see it but the one thing I in in looking at the schedule if they come out of his two and three Colin in the next five weeks I they'll be fine yeah boy. It's a rough on. NFL did them no favours with that offensive line and who they face Peter King Football Morning America NBC Sports Dot Com. Thanks Peter Colin all right. I'll tell you the team I like so far. Watch the niners play. They are so much fun. Eight different guys caught a ball six different guys carry the ball the niners under Kyle Shanahan. I know you haven't watched them. Cincinnati game. Nobody in the country sought keep your eye on the niners fun to watch Joel class around the corner as as well be sure to catch live editions the heard weekdays at noon eastern nine. Am Pacific Saturday Michigan and Wisconsin discover card. Key matchup automatically matches the miles. You earn your first year. Thirty five thousand miles could become seventy thousand miles discovered miles card discover dot com slash travel speaking of Michigan Wisconsin the guy that's GonNa be calling that for our network Mr College Football Joel Klatt. Come on bring it up you know they just legalized beer-drinking Wisconsin last week well at the stadium at least ace yeah. They've been drinking at other places anyways yeah. I can't wait for this matchup boy. I tell you what Michigan their struggles offensively against what is right now and I know it's only been two games and I understand that Wisconsin's opponents have not been great but Wisconsin the number one total defense scoring defense rushing defense passing defense passing efficiency defense. They haven't given up the boy have not given up point and so now Michigan with their struggles offensively through the first two games after face that defense. I can't wait to watch this play now. You and I have defended Jim Harbaugh and rightly so yes this weekend. Are you about to jump for it listen. I like they could get away from the ledge. No step back to more gay four years in you've gotta be able to beat Wisconsin at Michigan. Okay Bo Sham Boeckler was beaten Wisconsin listen. I think Wisconsin is really I mean Wisconsin is in the top ten. I'm not ready to throw JIM harbaugh out not throwing him out. I'm saying I'm a huge harbaugh fan. He's got on this offense. It's not getting better well. That's interesting that you say that because this is the least involved he's been with any of his offenses offenses at any level so if you go back to his days at San Diego that's where he started as a head coach San Diego then he goes to Sanford then he goes to the forty niners now how es with Michigan. This is unequivocally. The least involves Jim Harbaugh has ever been with an offense of his team. Well what does that mean. Let me tell you what I mean so in every game plan or offense meeting in the past at wherever he's been he's been involved in the offense of meetings. We we now have in crackers now. He's being more of a CEO. He's left it to Josh Gattis so he he will pop in on one of those meetings and then he'll go spend time with special teams and with the defense and he kind of he's more of hover more a more of a hoverer and he's less involved in the actual game planning so now he's doing more of the CEO type EPA deal versus being involved in the actual play calling on Saturday being involved specifically in the game planning during the course of the week. It's so I. I think that that's interesting. I don't know if people out there know that this Jim Harbaugh handed the keys to his whole program offensively to Josh Gaddis who had never called place before in his life eh and now this is Josh. GATTIS is offense says throwing Josh Gaddis under a boss a little am. I not just it's everybody's so if it fails at Josh Gannon getting out in his boss team I don't WanNa. I don't use agree with that. I disagree with that guy. He gases a young guys in his thirties. He was at Alabama last year as a coordinator Mike Locks. I'd never even heard he comes from the Joe Moorhead Tree. If those of you that are following this Joe Moorhead is the head coach. Mississippi state bad loss by the way last weekdays. He's a great coach. He is a great coach offensively and what he did at Penn state he came from Fordham the FCC goes to Penn State with trace mcsorley and saquon Barkley and then Nick Sabin was like hey. I want to run that offense so he went and he got some guys that were disciples of Joe Moorhead as Joe Moorhead moved to Mississippi State. One of them was Josh Gattis. He was at Bam last year. Ah Harbaugh said Hey I want that okay so he got Josh Gad but if they lose Josh Gannets gets nailed because he was a co coordinator of a college football team and now the whole if they stink Saturday at Con- you say that was such disdain disdain for anybody who's the mid day host K. W. X. in Seattle I maybe any good. You're doing drive time. The point is you can't blame Josh. What's this show. This thing unravels. I don't WanNa hear about Josh Gad. I'm not saying it's Josh has is this was a coach Abano. He's the guy that you facts or do. You not want this big J journalism here. I'll tell.

"They liked him by the way there's some. Big Ben there. He is really big with a very big arm. He is is heavy. He can handle the north winter's veil like him. That's the first thing they're telling you the second thing they're telling you is the season's not over. Our offensive. Line is still excellent. Our defense young and talented just added minkah Fitzpatrick our schedules incredibly workable and our receivers are really really young and we're kind of trying to make it work but they're talented. This is a very important thing to think about teams. Look Schedules. Look at the Pittsburgh steelers schedule. This is really remarkable and I think this goes a long way in the decision to make the trade because you get big band. Big Ben's going to come back next year so it's about this year. Do we think we can win this year weeks. Four through ten for the steelers this year they've won road game at road game is at the chargers stadium. That will be a home game. They don't have a true road game from September thirtieth to November eleventh and take away as we can win and by the way at after you tell me they can't beat Cleveland Cincinnati Arizona the jets in Buffalo. They can't beat Johnson Rudolph. Listen Pittsburgh knows their personnel better than I do. Mason Rudolph big strong and was wildly productive in college and they seem at practice practice every day and I said something on the air yesterday that I want to retract because they've earned my respect and this move is telling me we watched this kid every day at practice practice. He's our future. This is why we drafted him. We're going to have to play them sooner than we thought big band coming back next year but we're looking at our schedule. We're looking at our offensive line. We're looking at our division by the way which is you know. Cincinnati's not real good. You're watching the browns last night you think they're unbeatable and Baltimore's to and all but they beat Miami Arizona. Do we really know everything about Baltimore so I'm going to retract this from yesterday. New Greenland pretty good so Seattle Seattle's eight of nine. I wasn't going to bail on the steelers but now big BEN's out season over I would. I'd like to retract that statement. I think the Pittsburgh steelers weeks four through ten no true road game winnable games after that still best offensive line in their division a coach will make the hall of Fame Excellent General Manager. They've added numerous. There's parts now. MINKAH fitzpatrick to the defense in a division with Cleveland Looked Awful Cincinnati probably is in Baltimore's good but they've played them twenty two times and Split Eleven and eleven..

"I went to nantucket the museums and I loved it but I prefer being able to just tear stuff down and start over. If it's crappy be and sometimes old is crappy. It's not awesome. I didn't go to the old crappy buildings out there in museums. I wanted to the cool new ones. I had a choice in sort of the New York giants. You got to move off in. It's wrecking ball time. Let him be a mentor. It's respectful dignified the first time you did it was a little rocky rocky but now it's time. I mean you're going to see him. Get you want to see them. Get beat by thirty by Dak again you. WanNa see him get humiliated by Carson Wentz again or Russell Wilson or Aaron Rodgers or all jared Ga for all these new young quarterbacks. I mean this morning. I looked around and I was looking at the ages of some of these quarterbacks. This is the new. Nfl Goth is twenty four Dacca's twenty-six Wentz. His twenty-six Mahomes is twenty four to Shawn Watson Twenty Four. I mean outside of Mitch Trubisky. There's not only a bunch of new quarterbacks. I like all of them. I mean they've all got little holes Tyler's. A little small for me gets hurt a lot to shauna cross. My fingers fingers golf. Sometimes I wish he was more athletic but it's a perfect time for Eli and it is absolutely perfect time for Daniel Jones. This is not the Miami Dolphins opens. There's real players here and by the way the giants have to get some stuff figured out so now you move in Daniel Jones. Let's figure out can Daniel Jones play because this is not not this is not a an offense that needs to be totally rebuilt and also Pat Shurmur the right guy and the minute the New York giants the minute they selected Daniel Jones at number six and told us how great he was our scouts. He's the Bat K now now. You told US Daniel Dolan was great. We didn't think so you did so now. You're being completely dishonest. Watching Eli play watching a young kid. Josh Allen Alan beat you at home this weekend by not going to Daniel Jones so you can at least be honest authentic ethical because you told us Daniel Jones sounds great and all of us said you're not but if you're truly honest authentic unethical and you think he's as good as you claim the draft pick you selected at then. You have no choice then the plan because a we know Eli shot fighter and be. We're watching all these young guys work well. When's the last guy that didn't work in this league. I'll tell you Paxton Lynch of the last twenty guys drafted after the first round at quarterback young guys nineteen and I love trubisky are winning games or at least productive so you trapped yourself when you draft a Daniel Jones owns. You trapped yourself because you keep telling us how great he is and then we watch them in preseason was pretty great. We'll play him congrats to Eli on a remarkable career. You know second third time. He's available. He'll get some hall of fame vote who knows and Daniel Jones. I was not watching the giants game this weekend. I am now. I'm watching it now win for the NFL win for the giants by the way also in New York last night. There were two bad football teams. One had an excuse the New York jets were on their third quarterback. They didn't have their best defensive player arguably. Cj Moseley they didn't have their number one pick three defensive starters out there tight end still out with a dui in the off season suspended the New York jets were missing seven starters seven in starters yet they one time of possession had more yard rushing almost as many first downs and they were both equally inept on third down this game should have and this should have been the Patriots and the dolphins and the third quarter if the jets get a first down they were trailing sixteen to three Lebian..

"Manning and Daniel Jones. It's a perfect time for him. Look around the League Kylo Murray's a baby and Josh L. Baby and it's all working the transition from college quarterback to NFL. quarterback has gotten significantly the easier in the last five years because so many of the college concepts are being accepted now they weren't years ago in the NFL so we're just taken in college quarterbacks. SAN WE'RE GONNA use seventy percent of your college offense and heck out in Arizona about the coach with them. That's the new. NFL and it's where everybody's working Lamar's working. I thought Lamar was a project not even a prospect. I thought Josh Allen was project. I watched them this weekend. I'm like he's. He's better than Eli Daniel. Jones doesn't inherit a mess. They're really not Daniel. Jones gets an offensive line. They've invested a lot of money in Evan Ingram's in an emerging merging excellent tight end when Golden State's back. They got real wide receivers saquon. Barkley is a star and Pat. Shurmur is a very good offensive coach this. This is not the Miami Dolphins here. Daniel Jones will move the chains. This is a lot better than Josh. Allen got his rookie. It's certainly better than Josh Rosen gotten in his. I do jobs. Its better right now than cuyler. Murray has and kind of merged with three hundred fifty yards but the east coast and I loved it. I just soaked up all the tradition I went to all those hog work. Private prep schools. I go on tours to the Dinosaur Museum Yale. I went to all the stuff I put my arms around rounded..

"Radio and F one one hour from now. The herd word hierarchy in the buffalo bills are in joy. Taylor is joining me joy. How are you good Morning Good Morning. Eli Manning is bench. Finally finally finally it's time. It's a good day for let me start with this. I I am from the West and I currently live in the West but I moved to the Northeast for eleven years. I had a wonderful wonderful time. There were many great things not counting the weather of course I loved about the northeast but one of the things that always struck me you would would never have a fenway park out west. We would just blow it up and start over in the West doesn't matter what Grandpa did or what your dad did you chase your own dreams out east chase. GRANDPA's dreams in your dad's dreams for you. The East is about two hundred year old churches and hundred-year-old Baseball Stadiums uh-huh and seven thousand year old private schools and hierarchy tradition. There would be no fenway park in San Francisco. We just build new park. We don't romanticize yesterday. We don't have the east coast history. We got a lot of space and a lot of mountains and a lot of ocean views and people upgrade and move from neighborhood to neighborhood and it's okay an out west they would have benched Eli Manning seven years ago. Maybe five but out east it was hard. The manning's our American royalty in the New York giants a blue blood franchise and is nice and Eli is us. He's the old and church he's Fenway Park. There's great memories and we can't bench Eli. L. Shot fighter God. If he played in Denver he would have been benched years ago to be played in Seattle San Francisco. They made a bench in between super bowls. It's just the way the east coast is and it's an amazing part of the East Coast churches and the prep schools and history and the family trees and it's wonderful and it's been holding the New York giants back for half a decade. It's time the giants benched Eli today time number one he. This is a perfect time. He's won sixteen. One sixteen is a starter. He doesn't have a losing record. You don't bench him with a losing record and this giants team was going to go three and thirteen so when you look back in thirty or forty years and that matters to people out east one sixteen and one sixteen two super bowls and he beat Brady both times and he's getting into the hall of fame. Maybe at least he's getting votes. It's perfect you don't want him to go three thirteen off a five and eleven season off a three and twelve season. This is dignified. He can now be a mentor.

"But what I do know is that if the giants do make the decision that they need to move on from alleviate Vernon that is an awful lot of production. That is a very good football player who will need to be replaced. All right. Let's switch gears right now for you. Here. You're going to hear a pair of interviews. The first one will be with David Morris of QB country. And after that, you will hear my interview with drew boil heart of the huddle report. I hope you enjoy both. So real quick. Let's let's get started the Justice quickly. Tell people a little bit about QB country a little bit about what you do. Yes country is they the quarterback training development company trains, NFL guys all the way down the middle school kids. And and and outset of bread butter majority of what we do is as a company would be would be high school middle school. Wait, we we tried a lot of college guys as we kept our college guys over the years, and we have to Clinton benef- L stuff now that same half. But yes, so that's kind of kind of the way it works. And you know, you have a a long term relationship with the guy who's quarterbacking the giants right now that being ally. Manning, you're college teammate, AVI, Eli correct? That's right yet. And what you know. What do you see now from Eli manning? I'd be so much talk about ally. And how much time he might have left in his career. And whether the giants should continue to go with Eli manning. What are you see when you when you look at Eli manning now? Got it. Played the high level. You know think he is good if he's ever been. And I think he's a guy that showed, you know, showed that this year at times, and I know that you know, their times. You would tell you he wants to play better. But I mean, I think he's got a lot left in the tank, and and I think, you know, he's he's in a position where he's working like he's gonna be playing, you know, for you know, for for the foreseeable future. So it may not ain't nothing changes in his mind. And I think he's a guy that you know, that that is going to is going to be out of for while. Okay. So obviously, you know, the everybody talks about you know, you lie being, you know, thirty eight this coming season the giants, perhaps, you know, needing to to begin to think about a transition plan, you know, for ally. At least that that seems to be the majority opinion in you happen to to work with a guy who who people think might be a giants target when it comes to that transition plan that being do quarterback Daniel Jones if I'm not mistaken you have worked with Jones since he was a high school kid. Yup. Started trying to Daniel since I guess, it is software your high school. So did you want? When did you begin to see, you know, the kind of ability in Jones that, you know, people might you know, you might be a first round pick. He might be a second round pick. Everybody seems to feel a little differently about what Jones might be you know, in this coming draft. When did you start to see that kind of ability in him? Thought early on. There was thought early on. There was a lot of potential. There was I saw a kid who's very hungry. A kid who's talented and a kid who was crawling in and very mature. And and you know, they're driven. And I think from a young age you see all that stuff..
