"All right, one Triple eight. Say ESPN is the number to call one triple 87293776. Let's go back to the phone lines. I wanna hear some pics. I want some predictions or whatever else Is on your mind. Let's go to T o fellow in Elgin, Illinois. What's up, man? Hello? I don't know how long the stereo and a runny I was the guy that said they didn't like you when they first came out, But you save you got attached, and now you're probably one of the best guys. And then that made Probably beside dominant cruise, but I'm going for a common bluesman. Mr Ariel. Okay. All right. You think he finishes it? Or do you think he goes the distance? No, To be honest, I think that right hands were started having a lot of settlement around and listen tomorrow. He's in his time right now. This area, all right. I don't think I don't think my mom's gonna be home right now. Yeah, Mr Asquith Bitch. Reaches the channel we champion Mr Ariel, I don't You know about it. We'd never next two years. He's on top of this gang, sir. I appreciate the call my friend. Yeah, we're going to see that on march. 27th, Unfortunately, just got some breaking news here, courtesy of my colleague Marco Mundy. The Julian Robertson verses. Miranda Maverick fight, which I told you Was one of the pre Lim fights that I was most looking forward to. It's actually or was supposed to be the first fight of the night. It is now canceled for the UFC unfortunate John Robertson has a non Covad related illness and has withdrawn from the fight. I was really looking forward to that one. So we're down to 10. Fights on this card. We had 12 as of yesterday morning, but unfortunate. Bobby Green was forced out of his fight against Jim Miller Do do kidney issue, Unfortunately, And now we just lost another one. I mean, golly, Golly gee, Speaking of Twitter, Let me give a shout out to David Winker, who says Give Buffalo some love here. Area Hawaii. Read my prediction on air. If Boozman wins, it's newsman Versace Habib for 30, you know, and for Double Champ status, not a bad idea. Not a bad idea at all. I feel like I'll be would be down here is the problem. Too many guys who are deserving of the title shot a 1 71 55. I wouldn't want to hold those guys up just my two cents Pat, in which Westchester P. A Europe next. What's up, Pat? Not much A real nice talking to you. Um I have a couple of things here. First off. I want to stay. I think tomorrow you get it done tonight. I think Gilbert has, uh The power in his hands. But I think what people don't give credit to that. Tomorrow is tough. He handled Colby. He handled tire and, um And I think you can take what Gilbert condition out. I think Uh, tomorrow. Take the win tonight and then my side note is a big John Jones fan and Connor McGregor fan, and, uh, Connor took some damage with his legs. In this last fight, and we did not expect to see that And I know John Jones is moving up the heavy weight and it's not super common to see like kicks there, but it's deep. If given the chance goes up against John, Do you think He might target those legs. I mean, he could certainly do so steep is just a really good boxer. In my opinion, and he's very quick on his feet. He's got a lot of power. Quick hands. I would love to see that fight. I mean, honestly, John Jones versus either Francis and going to it. Or Stephen you Church is a phenomenal fight. I mean, just rich and storylines would be one of the biggest fights of the year signed me up for either, But yeah, there would be something special with arguably the greatest heavyweight champion of all time in the UFC going up against the greatest light heavyweight champion of all time. I mean, the script writes itself, but hey, it Francis goes in there and knock Steve Bates head off. I'm sure a lot of people will be clamoring for that fight as well. Let's go to Italy in Rapid city, South Dakota. What a plea. Aerial. Thanks for taking the call. I was just going to get on here and tell you that Julian Robertson was going to get her hand raised tonight. Obviously, you just said the unfortunate news about their about But the other women's about Mallory Martin's going to get her hand raised. And Alexa Grasso by second round Chico Oh, a finish for Alexa graph. So you know Alexa Grass. So, like I said, up and down Four and three in the UFC, but coming off a great win back in August in her flyweight debut, the issue well, one of the issues that she's been doing with no finishes, right, so I feel like the fans just don't get behind someone who's not I'm not gonna say going for the fish. But just not securing the finish a lot of decisions but decisions unanimous decisions. She doesn't have Ah, finish on her UFC records so A stoppage against someone like me. See, Barbara would be absolutely massive for Mexico's Alexa Grasso. Let's go to Kym Ana in a WA hoo Hawaii. Aloha came on, and I hope I'm pronouncing that correctly. Aloha. What South area You pronounced it perfectly. I just want to say Gilbert Burns. I think he has what it takes. He got the kid. You got the power. You've got the pressure. I think he's gonna knock out who's been in the second round. I think we're gonna be here for an upset. I think he.

You don't have your password password, but they have new rules. You have to verify your phone number and do all of this other stuff, But you have to follow them. It's required and blah, blah, blah. They're just trying to make it to where you know people who apparently don't like secure their accounts regularly. They're just trying to get it to where They're I guess their safes are locked down. Oh, my gosh. This story. Elgin Elgin, Illinois Elgin Elgin, Illinois, A bear is discovered scavenging on the remains of a 43 year old man in a campsite in North Carolina demands from Elgin, Illinois. But it was scavenging on the remains of the sky and hikers discovered what happened is they came across this tent and it was unoccupied. And then they found some human remains around, according to Charlotte Observer. And so they immediately contacted law enforcement and then when Rangers rushed to the site That's when they saw a black prepare. Actively scavenging. It was, uh, on Hazel Creek Trail. And they said that their wildlife biologist who are experts in human bear conflicts, believe that once very scavenged on the remains of humans, it was a real risk of doing that behavior again. "Sub conscious level people have that fear because they know they can't go back it's going to Mike in Elgin Illinois a first time caller hi Michael go ahead thanks for taking my call missing Mike I you know I I've been going blind for the last ten years I'm almost totally blind now and I had no clue what what's wrong one one it was one of the ophthalmologist say mark I was diagnosed with glaucoma and the thing is my pressures of been fine for the last five six years I you know and but I'm still lose and go online bank is that are you on medication or not well you know what I want to try that because when I was originally diagnosed you know they put me and traps so I thought you know I got to get eyes I'm going to just put drops in one eye and that and the other in the one that I put the drops and I went blind in all and though in fact and then after I went blind in and I my son poke me in the eye with a stick and that blind in the church it's just a little more but now it's that my eyes my eyelids shut I only have one eye how do you fight sent Caroline I know it's so hard so he's on the so for example for you so of course I seek a chemical components those responsible for this there's a lot of sugar in your blood but I also see for example your mother your mother's frequency that you know kind of genetically it's connected to that to me when I see these things the first thing is that I want you have help here kind of you know improve your symptoms and reverse whatever is happening but the bigger question is why are you a tracking this because it's one thing that your eyes are getting worse and worse but then your son is poking you in the eye you see what I mean that's yeah exactly so there's a hard if you on an unconscious level that is wanting to not see and that is what we need to work on that this is what I said earlier you have to go back to the root cause of why this has been created in the first place in order to change the entire pattern so so in your case like I said there's a few things that need to happen we can't pick up the the the show for that but it just as a clue you have to work on both both and the one the chemistry of your blood and at the same time I'm going to help you reduce your mother's frequencies from you it's like god is the sort of an attachment so I'm going to help you with that but in order to go back to the root cause just to get a bit of a reprogramming therefore have to do that indeed Caroline thank you for being on the program the websites linked up and coast to coast AM dot com and you can email her through her websites for dandelion T. "Grief I can tell you what your question was I don't not a witness it's not complicated and the reason it's not complicated is that nothing happened what's made it complicated as all of these outrageous baseless allegations that are designed to get people going down a rabbit hole trying to defend and explain when I go back to the phones Mike in Elgin Illinois a great to have you on the E. I. B. network hello Sir well rush nice to talk to you I'm a big fan thank you Sir well I wanted to do and get your opinion on something you know I've heard there's a contingency out there called the shy coopers and these are people that secretly support Donald Trump but they don't admit it publicly for fear of repercussion from friends family or co workers I don't think they can be measured in polls because like I said they don't admit to their support for Donald Trump but I think they're going to be a giant factor in the upcoming election and I think that group is probably growing bigger and bigger every day as a result of shift in is an ex I would agree with that I I have not I've not heard the term excuse me shy trappers what that's a good that's a good description there are outlook trump people get beat up for wearing make America great again hat they get thrown out of families there's no question that there is a group of people who stand mute about their support for trump the left is crazy the anti trump magnets are literate they're dangerous but I think there's even more than that I I I think he trunk presidency has caused an awakening a revolution I don't know how to what were you would describe it I think there is a greater awareness of how opposition research politics happens now look folks let's let me remind you something there's a lot of reasons why the Democrats are so frustrate let's go back to trump coming down the escalator shall we what a trump say that day comes down the escalator June sixteenth two thousand fifteen announces candidacy talks about the rapists and the criminals and the drug dealers and the despicable human beings in Mexico and he described them form on the ten minutes any blame them for collecting American culture based on the illegal immigration is in the desert Democrat parties objective he described the criminal element of the illegal immigration in ways that nobody in politics is ever have the guts and courage to do so what did people say after he did all this guy's finished why does god never did you hear you turn on any cable news never you watch anybody yet allies again this guy they said did not even serious nobody running for president whatever seriously say stuff like that try another and there's no way they're laughing about it and of course there wringing their hands are sold out Regis it's so bad to talk about people it may still be do do do do do but what happened he got elected didn't may let's look at the access Hollywood video what was the access Hollywood video do you remember transporting out of one of those trailers they have on sept where you're going to take time out if you're an actor you get made up for your sleep for you know for every doing there and he's walking out of the trailer with one of the hosts of these access Hollywood shows Billy bush from doesn't always being videotaped it's not part of the show and he starts talking about what the power of celebrity allows you to do with beautiful women and where are you can no no.

"On coast to coast we start this hour with the one is plan waiting the longest in that's Charles in Elgin Texas Charles yeah and I I I was just thinking about a line because either histories written by the victors or history is the polemic of the victors yeah he needed to various people I right yeah my I was thinking of I'm sitting right now I'm sitting in my car over here and now the fact is that that you see hello again did you say L. can also not like Elgin Illinois it's hello again yeah that that we pronounce it around that's fine I'm I'm always good to learn that I does that never lets go thank you named after some railroad engineer I think or something like that you know this is the one point that we named it after the but the the anyways the I guess are are you are you might consider yourself somewhat of a historian but this and I'm not sure about down Mister Mister mark but the you know I have I study global security in not in Japan among other places and I was in for ocean like myself are also studying you know the events that happened there but the hi I don't really know what to say because I know there's so many people attached to the idea that somehow the the nuclear weapon you know ended the war in the second World War anyway and you know or rather it was an event at the end of the war and I'm actually in some ways a it's sort of delayed it now really maybe buy a few weeks but that it did delay the end of the war because they wanted to I guess they want an opportunity to use this weapon what the world that you know the US had this kind of weapon and that sort of power but I don't know that I've ever heard the argument that the war was extended to be able to use the weapon I don't think that we're going to get all that well you were going to get into all sorts of different issues and arguments and I just want to put it out there for those who might be listening you might want to consider that maybe the war really was and it wasn't ended by the use of this nuclear weapon actually at that time the Japanese it pretty well already conceded everything they were just waiting to see what would happen with the how the they're gonna be any risk you know sort of the but the disposition of the emperor was gonna be basically but it really they they weren't there weren't really any condition there wasn't any thirty well they they have the the Japanese had a lot of conditions so one of those one of those was the belief that the emperor was a god and it is so that was that was a that was a major source of contention yeah right so I think that part of what the part I mean I'm again I'm not I think there are there's an argument to be made for using it there was an argument that clearly can be made that says this was it not requires disproportionate but well yeah but but I don't know that I've ever heard that we extended the war in order to be able to use it for that I mean I think when they would have been happy if the Japanese had surrendered after the first one and just surrendered and that was the problem they wouldn't surrender right so we had Nagasaki and Hiroshima the the thing is sort of what was going on behind the scenes a little bit different than you know sort of what we as I said history being in sort of the polemic of the vector but loosely but I I like to read alternative history I'm not just reading the majority view and I I mean I I I like I said I went to the same places in Japan and I I went to the memorials and there are different points of view to be sure but I don't know that anyone is definitive in terms of yeah this was the only way that we can look at it so I think we should always be informed of those but but it felt that had we sometimes you know somebody should speak up for you know another another view of the situation and that we're gonna weather was really because it seems to be sold to the song so universal that that most people believe that the war was ended by this by the use of the flap and one but I don't know that that's true I don't know losers proof that that's not true I mean remember after her Rocha ma the Japanese government didn't believe the reports yeah they didn't believe them they said this did not happen they said there is this cannot possibly have happened this is an exaggeration the you know continue as usual don't you know and then there were there were some survivors who had gotten word to the military and the military's position was No Way it's just a bomb it was not anything more than that and they sent in troops to actually look at it and they still didn't change there are you know the the trajectory of the war from their standpoint so I mean I I I I here's what I'll do is I'll just leave it here and and that's you know Charles Pellegrino has been a guest on this show many times in his book last train which is such a fate has couple different titles but it it's about the the the dual survivors of Nagasaki and Hiroshima the people that left her OSHA and then ended up in Nagasaki only to be hit by the second one and the it's a great read that it will support some of your feeling on that but I don't even know that ultimately there's only one way to look at it and I don't think it I don't think I'm just succumbing to the majoritarian view when I say that it did precipitate the end of the war but let's leave it there for now James is in Leavenworth Kansas on coast to coast and I try to get everybody in before the end of the half hour here change go ahead how you doing Ian Hodgen great wondering what you think about this gun control nonsense the law in Virginia I don't know which which can be mean the the people who are going to Richmond to start another on a no I'm talking about I'm talking about the fact that the you know the governor and everybody well the the governor and the I yes since the assembly is all controlled by Democrats now you're trying to ram through this Warren Warren brands for all these gun control bills and the people are saying no we don't want it because I think there's something like ninety two or ninety three counties and cities in Virginia now that our second amendment sanctuary cities for cal means you have a lot more information than I have I don't really know anything about it I do know that if it's a second amendment issue if the legislation is badly written or it's wrong I'm confident the courts will correct that and the that is the you know the this is fairly settled law in a lot of ways so not sure what it's about I I certainly I'm worried about the rally coming up because I know what happened the last time that happened in Richmond but I appreciate your point if you are looking to it after I get off the air maybe next time I'll be able to have a more informed opinion but I'll say in general I mean I support second amendment rights but I don't think it's unlimited so wild card lines Mike's in Denver on coast to coast might hi Ian thanks so much for taking my call and I don't know that you want ever told you but you really sound like a younger keys on the like and use a young retains I've never heard that over I appreciate I'm happy to hear the young anybody so that's good enough I'll be a young Walter Matthau I don't care of your young anybody yeah well I I always appreciate you when you take my calls and don it means a lot and I did have a comment and a question so I read your book about true crime which was a great book I think that yeah the the appeal system in this country is in is in a very interesting stay here right now and I think one of the most interesting cases of of an ongoing appeal is the Scott Peterson case now we all know about we don't we all know the Scott Peterson murder case of laci Peterson in their send multiple appeals and I think it's kind of interesting how there could be no physical evidence linking a murder to someone in an appeal still not be heard on it in and I just want to get your take on where where you think we're at three with appeals because I know you're kind of an expert in that subject well is this one small part of the yeah let's with this talk about that one small part so what Mike's referring to is that true crime narratives be on TV film casting radio does matter true crime narratives have always been used as kind of a check the sort of a defect appeals system and it because we understand things better when they're told us a story the going back to true crime magazines of the nineteen thirties the true crime magazines the trick for the for the the the the whole genre of true crime is often used as a way to either subvert a decision that's been made by a court that says this person was guilty war to subvert something to a court that says this person was not guilty and the true crime narratives are often used as this way of of stirring up public opinion to reconsider cases so this is what the true crime doc did that was about Scott Peterson I think is like a three part series on discovery or something over a couple years ago it was a really interesting argument that said that he had gotten railroaded in the death of his of his wife in that it could be these other people that had word not prosecuted so that's just as a background for this so is it possible that he's not guilty yes but do we say it on the basis of the fact that there was no physical evidence no because of the lack of physical evidence if we said every time there's no physical evidence that links person a to this crime then that we don't all that would do is reward really good criminals so there are other ways to be able to link somebody to a crime other than physical evidence and it and that's why they have things like the text messages and some of the other communication and what things that she'd been telling your family and there are other things that went into it other than the physical piece that having been said Mike what's your what's your take on what I just said do I dress generally real no I mean I I just think that you're like I said before one of the most intelligent minds on a lot of different subjects in including true crime I mean I think that you know he has killed multiple times right there's a lot of people they believe he is innocent and I think it's worth the second look but you know it's it's a sad situation all around and I just honestly thought it would be interesting to get your take on it and I will I'll get that little bit more to it than that a little bit more thank you so remember there are constrictions on what can be considered new evidence and so the way our system is designed you have to even when somebody the preponderance of the evidence suggests that somebody had gotten a bad trial in some cases they can't get a new trial until new evidence or new testimony has been uncovered so I think that there's a separate argument to be made on whether or not this is all just a matter of legality not necessarily whether he's innocent or guilty but that they haven't come up yet with that with that device that unlocks the system for a second trial so again maybe that's where true crime comes into it because the police authorities are no longer investigating the prosecutor's office is no longer investigating so what does that leave us with the leases with with writers people go out and on their own decide to try to get the public to reconsider a case let's see whether that works in in the case of John Peter are sorry Scott Peterson John is in Columbus Ohio east of the Rockies on coast to coast John yeah I believe that until we begin to realize that there are certain miss.

Yeah remember we were in the room that it was sold out at Elgin fringe fast yeah with Bob after dark not only sold out though can I say that there were people standing all over the place. Yes we had to give up our own chairs. I didn't give mine well now but the rest of us did oh okay wow and they're actually turn people away to there are people pull literally standing outside the windows with their hands on the windows looking inside and I know in this recording. It only sounds like there was fifteen people but trust US I am. I'm not lying about this. I've lied another podcast about the audience this time. He was right in front of US Yep. He was there so but yeah to correct my grammar grammar while I'm sure he was doing yeah but it's a good episode lots of spooky history. Lots of fun and lots of good debate absolutely oh end. You know what we did this interview on the David Vox Mullen show yeah so so there's a lot of ghostly to be had this week yes yes so we got interviewed as closely as ghostly David Vox Mullen. We talk a lot about ourselves and kind of how we got to where we are with our beliefs or not believe says the case may be that people would think I was a believer after listening to ask possible we get into some science. Experiments weird like we goes deep. It goes really deep and you know David Vox. Molin Oakland is a great host to He is the man of many talents right. He is and he's a really strong interviewer. He is I felt but I felt really comfortable. Oh Oh yeah definitely and he kept everything going well. We'll have to see maybe we'll hear more from him. I hope so I mean he is kind of my friend so Kinda hope. I still hear from him after that helps out well yeah so Why are you so happy sound. It's time for the polls I this is happy for the polls always happy. This is a sad moment. No this is a really really happy moment all right. Hey remember when you took over facebook and euro. You re posted our poll and we're like team skeptic. Come on out oh. I don't recall so here's the end we're calling it. It's the end of this poll. Oh yeah because you said it in keep going extra week but I thought you meant. He was the end of ghostly poll recalling it right now. Seventy two percent say say dillinger's ghost still haunts this earth twenty eight percent. No it says No. It doesn't yeah sorry. I don't know what happened been there. We were doing so so good. What is the truth. The Truth Wins Out Mondo was here. Mondo believed me. I was convincing stab me in the back speaking of something a little bit sadder. I do want to say that. pod Coin is going under they. They are shutting their doors sewers pod doors yeah so if you are listening to us right now on Pod coin just remember there are different spots that you can find us. You can go on ghostly podcast dot com either click on the hamburger menu or you'll see it right up at the top depending. If you're on your computer on your phone and then click on find us. There are so many different ways that you can find us. I personally recommend overcast. That is my favorite. I know you have a different one. I use downcast okay and actually popcorn report recommends cast box yeah. I've tried cashbox aspects you. It wasn't my favorite but that's because I like to automate a bunch of star. I you know I I do some crazy stuff with all the podcasts that I listen to yeah but really anywhere that you can listen to a podcast. You can listen to go sleep. Yes we're even on Pandora everywhere yeah yeah so if you're listening to us on pod coin they are going to go away as of the the September twenty fourth so please go right now and subscribe to us somewhere else and make sure that you don't miss any ghostly and make sure you cashing your pod coins to absolutely we would recommend you. Ah Okay so I I didn't tell you this but I found the coolest thing today on facebook. We were you going to do this during the recording of a show yeah. I didn't even have time to prepare anything. You'RE GONNA love it so I didn't even worry about it. Okay anywhere but I'm so excited about this so I got I got one of those like facebook ads for the thing called the dark history and horror con- yeah dark history and con is happening in Champaign Illinois so right in the Mid West not too far from us us too. They have champagne. There is ever they make. The champagne is not where they make it but they probably have some. Oh okay. I didn't even drink but in the episode I sound like well. It's where University of Illinois is so. It's a college town but it's happening the weekend before Halloween means. I think that's like the twenty four v six something like that I don't. I don't think I'm doing anything. I don't think I'm doing anything that we can so it it okay seriously reading the description it is like us is it is it's so it's there's going to be a lot of artwork. Authors comics all all things dark and creepy it says we dark and creepy right and their talks about true crime gangster serial killers. I mean it's all of our stuff. We really try to go. We seriously no. We are like we're GONNA try. Wow Yeah. Maybe I'll reach out to them. I think you should and this is seriously amazing looking so anyways. Hopefully we'll end up being able to go. Maybe some of you guys will make it to its. We could bring some buttons to ooh definitely. Let me you know people loved our glow in the dark buttons at Elgin French. They yeah. It was cool all right. I don't think we have anything else. Oh we do you have one more is just one they the most important thing things that people are trying to guess online. Usually we save this to the end of the episode so this. This is weird for me yeah well. I'm so excited. We've got our announcement. It is time everybody four go sleaze access so we're GONNA get exercised yeah. I have to exercise our October October theme. Everybody is act services. Ohm's law month or four episodes yeah. I'm GonNa say that because we decided we kept saying we're going to do all of our episode. We're going to one episode a week and Tober. There's five Wednesdays in October. So that's that's-that's a lot exorcism. We're still looking too soon. Give you five episodes in October right but one of them the first one will not be the about about any kind of exercise. No it's GonNa be really good though yeah. What is it going to be about the biltmore heard of that. Yes it's kind of it's one of the hotels that was the basis for a the shining the hotel and the shining with like the hedges and all that stuff outside died super haunted. Su Super totally haunted lots of stories lots of good history but there are a lot so we you can we find a skeptic to come on the show. Maybe no no no skeptics so the dates though for the October the episodes that are gonna be so the Biltmore is going to be on the second. Yes it's going to be at Tober second and then the ninth keep the sixteenth the twenty third and Halloween Eve. The thirtieth will be all about access. Yes I'm so excited. We'd like just we're going to cover this thing. From every angle yes interviews history real stories. He's injuries that are related to other stories. I'm excited. I think we started off a little bit in the David Vox. Molin interview is while talking about found my passion for it yeah. I don't know if he cut it or not. I Yeah I don't know because we told them it was top secret. We did tell up seeker but you know it's okay because now everyone the world not all of you the ghostly society the Society of what of ghostly gentlemen I don't know we came up with the name for for everybody but it was the ghostly psychosis society okay Sir. Thank you come from the midnight suicidal yeah the Midnight Society Right. Yes sorry it's been. It's been a week spending a crazy week. I anyways so yeah the go society's kind of like the midnight society where people go and they tell spooky stories in the in the woods we just happen to tell it on podcasts in they do that in the dead poet's society yeah. It's a little little bit. Their stories were a little different but yeah it kind of like that all right well. You know what I think. We should let them hear what we did. I am so proud of this episode podcast when they do live episodes. I don't really enjoy him but this one is different. The audio quality is still pretty good. There are some MM feedback issues in a couple of points. Rebecca thinks it's a ghost so so I got to prove her wrong by turning down the volume but yeah so here it is st go sleep.

"To ghostly rebecca. I i heard a story about you going to a barbecue place okay so i told you that story not so you could share in the world. I mean the world being fans <hes> yes. There are friends too right. Well very classic. Rebecca story like seriously like this. This is this kind of thing happens to me all the time so i went to this restaurant and i don't know like a head. It was a place where i used to live in a restaurant. I used to go to and i kind of got confused. Once i got off the expressway where i was exactly and i was just following the directions on the g._p._s. and i thought it was taking me to a different location and i was like oh. They moved like it was close but you know that they just kind of move down the street around the corner. Whatever those excited and i thought the building of wow you know it looks bigger outside and but then i went inside and it was like oh this slicks and this looks really the same they kept it all and then as i was leaving later i realize there's no is the exact same exact same building and is just an idiot. You didn't tell anybody your feelings when you were yeah yeah. No i absolutely talked to inflate and it was like yeah. I was here old. Look asian like this is so great and he was like well. We have a location downtown like he was so confused. Luckily he was a very very nice man and did not bother me or be like we've never moved. Oh my god. I can't sick rebecca last week. Rebecca story like yeah yes he. Don't you feel better now now that you've shared that with well i wanted to say that. I'm really excited about elegant french fast. How about you yeah pat. I am very very excited for french fastest getting closer so we're going to have to start buckling down getting ready for yeah definitely so it's going to be september fourteenth at six ex-pm at the blue box cafe. That's in elgin illinois yes for those that are like elgin north dakota right well and then as i said last time in france case you're wondering blue-box cafe is so named for the amazing show doctor who who the doctor did this. I'll before i know exactly who you're talking by. Implying that up. I the joke joke other. Show <music> do all right so bob after dark will be there with us exciting. Oh my god. They have a lot going on they do. They're going places. They're doing investigations all the time yeah and actually they're going to be in a panel at wizar- wizard world. Yes not whizzy whizzy world wizard third-world as a world. Yes yeah and that's gonna be <hes> this next friday. Yes which is the can't remember the date of that. Ah twenty third twenty third nailed it literally and they're gonna be doing a panel with our friends at freak of the week podcast yeah wish we're. You're gonna be guesting on this next season. I'm so we're going to be guesting as ghostly usually go on there and we improvise characters but we are going to be ghostly podcast broadcast out well. Maybe it will be a version of podcast. We'll probably an exaggerated version yeah yeah so at elgin fringe fast. We are going to be talking. You bought some elgin specific. Go stories yes now. We haven't talked about this but i do think that there there are several release release scary things about elgin one of which is that there is a mental hospital in elgin who so let's not. Let's not give too much away here yet. Okay because we want want people to attend but even if they can't attend we'll put out that as a bonus episode or some kind of other episode in september for some time definitely oh yeah so i mean we want you to come but <hes> if you can't make it it's okay we understand. If you're in california for example you know and you can't make it here. I mean i don't see why they wouldn't i just you never know i mean it's possible right. They might not be able to make it so in that case yeah. Now you're not going to get maybe everything everything that's at the show but give as much as we can and <hes> for those of you that don't know rebecca and i belong to a local theater company right called memorium development development and they have a couple of shows at elgin fringe fest two called in memoriam yes and another one that we probably the name i'm going to say it's unfrequently blue relatable unfreezing relatable yeah i mean it's you an f. X. x. x. i. n. g. keep going <music> whatever r. e. A. b. or whatever it is yeah and you know so. We're gonna be hanging out that weekend so in other words you know if you don't get a chance to see us if you can't come to our show at six pm on the fourteenth. We'll be there on thursday. Maybe friday for shore alley saturday. If you stick around after our show i'm gonna be playing some guitar during the in memoriam. Show improvised sized music nice for them. Yes eric will so definitely something. You want to check out. 'cause i am the best guitarist in elgin that they could get for that day. Yeah that that said yes there. You go yeah again good well and we haven't mentioned yet but we might have a special guest at our another special guest that we haven't even announced yet at our show. I'm not gonna go into more on that because i don't wanna yeah. Jimmy data attic might not happen but yeah but you know this person's work very well. I do listen to ghostly yes. That's true not just you because you're talking about really know that will you would know his work probably better than most people yes. I think you've known him for a few years right more more than a few yeah all right so sadly. I think it's time to go over the polls. Why so sad you know this this time. I just am not feeling it all right well. Our question from the last episode was does marie lavaux the voodoo queen haunt want new orleans sixty two percent of of o._t.'s said yes. She does thirty eight percent said no she does not it was pretty close. Close though i was like a landslide at the beginning and then it definitely kind of even out a little bit more and we've been posting a lot about this episode so i think it kind of buried it because we didn't get as many votes as what we've had in the last couple of. I mean still pretty good number of votes. Though it was decent number yeah say i would say so yeah yeah. Just you know believe receiver one has shaken believer one. Yeah just letting you know that i mean you guys did and i love that you guys one because that's what makes this show right. You don't know it's like if we didn't have both sides or all three size with hash tag team twenty. No no not the name hashtag. I'm not sure hashtag. It's hey team depends hashtag team. <hes> <hes> you know hash say team open minded okay. Maybe we'll have to do a vote. I just i don't wanna be called a thirteen year old. That's not i'm sorry sorry. I don't want to upset you or anything. You seem really agitated as kind of like when i talk about orbs yeah. Are there any orbs in this episode not that. I know okay okay. Wow yeah although we might see some as we record eastern. It's always possible all right so i think we really should get into the episode. We have a really long episode and we decided to switch up the format a little bit for this episode because of how many topics we have to cover <hes> <hes> it's. It's really going to be a big episode so we're hoping to get it all in one. We're hoping we're hoping so i'm not going to do i just want to point. I'm not going to be doing like a big ghost story. I mean we we will be doing that in the future. It's not going away. It's just today because we have so many different things. I'm going to be kind of filling in the ghost stories. There's too much real stuff to put your make believe ghost somebody putting real go surreal ghost stories in as we go no such thing yeah <music> okay so the twenty seven club refers to a lot of artists that have died at this age in the last hundred and fifty years. It's not just musicians but it is mostly musicians. The question we are exploring is whether or not there is it a curse for artists that caused them to die at the age of twenty seven. Yes yes so that's kind of. I mean we're gonna be telling some example stories today but that is the overall question as you're listening to these stories you know. Is this this because of a curse what happened with them. I mean i'm not saying yes. It is because of a curse asked the question records show so although the the twenty seven club was something that people talked about before cobain especially after brian jones jimi hendrix janice joplin jim morrison died very close together a really gained a lot of notoriety after a statement from cobain's mother now he's gone in joined that stupid club bob. I told him not to join that stupid club. So do you have anything to add to that. Yeah well just that so before. Your cobaine people definitely talked about the twenty seven club after those four big deaths plus more <hes> all within a short timeframe there there were a lot of people that all the sudden started to take note like wow twenty-seven seems to be this age where people die but then i think doc kind of some time past and maybe there were a lot of major deaths and then all of a sudden kurt cobaine happen and it was like this big deal <hes> again you know l. and it was kind of like wow the center generational. It's not just this one freak thing that happened. Just for the record first of all. There's there were several deaths that happened after jim morrison and before cobaine yes i met in that span but they are lesser known than those bright people but there's been a lot of discussion surrounding if she she meant specifically the twenty seven celebrity death club or a club of musicians that committed suicide or even within their family the people that committed suicide the exact same way that kurt did data but we're going to talk about that also <hes> i want to say at the twenty seven club is also known as forever twenty seven okay yeah so it has a couple of different names <hes> but it it all it all goes over the same thing that these talented artist died at the age of twenty seven yes robert johnson is one of the first enter the twenty seven club. It didn't start with him. There were a couple before him but a lot of people see him as the start of it yeah. I mean the people before him. Were like classical music zik musicians. Yes i mean they were artists artists but like they were definitely old old-timey. Yes yeah so we're gonna go over in this episode. We're going to talk about seven of the most famous of the twenty seven club <hes> but in no way is this limited you too just these people. There's a lot of people in this so we're gonna start off with robert johnson. He's a very talented blues man. Dan robert johnson was born on may eighth nineteen eleven in hazel hirst mississippi. Even though.
