"All the time on the Odyssey app and listen to the home stretch on the Odyssey app or wherever you get your podcasts. Let's get the latest on traffic right now from Ted Raimi. And we've had a new red come in in Los altos hills, southbound two 80 approaching El Monte listed his blocking the left lane. CHP is responding not seeing any slowing yet, but we'll see if anything does pick up here, but the good news is that it has been pretty light out there this morning despite some accidents that we've seen. We haven't seen much in the way of slow traffic, where we have had a little it went away, but now it's popped up again as an earlier solo spin out in the maze in Oakland 5 80 west on the connector to 80 eastbound that was at the speed limit after we had seen some slowing, but now it is slowing down once again. If you're in the area and you see anything, let us know on Twitter at kcbs a.m. FM traffic again that's at kcbs a.m. FM traffic and actually the CHP just did update this there blocking the two left lanes of that connector briefly probably to clear something so that should be back at the speed limit momentarily. But right now most of the Bay Area looking very good, there are fog warnings for the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Mateo bridge, but not much slowing out there to be found. Your next update, 7 28 on the traffic leader, case CBS. And that's been out maybe the result may be of some of the missed out there. We also have patchy fog along the coast and at the bridges, Lowe is currently in the 40s out there in most spots, although temperatures are rising, we're seeing 50s in some areas. Today it's going to be mostly cloudy throughout the Bay Area with highs ranging from the low to upper 60s

"Text dinesh the 9 8 9 8 9 8 to get started today. The district attorney of Los Angeles, George gascon, is facing a recall, much in the same way that the San Francisco DA chesa boudin faced or recall and was in fact unceremoniously recalled and tossed out. Now gascon is basically a clone of boudin. This guy is a complete loser, he is a DA on the side of the criminals, this is a guy who has been battering and weakening, not just the police force, but the prosecutorial force in LA, crime rates have soared in LA. I mean, they've soared another parts of the country too, but more in LA, more in California, more in San Francisco. So gascon and budin are symbols of the worst. Of democratic kind of crime fighting policy. And I want to talk about a specific case a case involving a really bad guy criminal named Justin Flores. So this guy Justin Flores is now accused of fatally shooting to El Monte police department, well, a Corporal and an officer, Michael parades and Joseph Santana. Here's a guy who was facing serious felony charges. And gascon led him out, put him on probation. And this has been by and large the gas on strategy. It's essentially to take criminals who are in a serious, who should be incarcerated, and let them loose, put them on probation. And what is this guy doing? He gets into a domestic dispute that police get reports of a possible stabbing. They show up at the scene, a shootout occurs, and vote the officers are killed. Now, gascon goes to a press conference, this was on Tuesday, two days ago. And he says this. We have an imperfect system. And that's not only here in LA. It's everywhere. I know it's frustrating to hear. It may not help heal the wounds. We don't serve our community when we pretend we can predict a 100% of the time when these cases are going to occur. Well, no one is saying that you know with a 100% certainty, whether a criminal is going to strike again. But you know what the reasonable probability that that could happen. And when you let a lot of criminals out on the street, there's a there's a 100% certainty that some of them will do bad things again. And so why not keep them as the law requires them to be locked up? Essentially what gascon does is he uses this prosecutorial discretion. He goes around the law. And he goes, no, no, no, no, no. Let him go. Let him go. This guy Flores has been in and out of prison for years. He's a he's a drug addict. He's been arrested for a whole bunch of firearms and drug related charges. Some time ago, he was arrested for burglarizing his grandparents home for stealing TVs. And in this case, he was arrested for possession of drugs for personal use as well as possession of a firearm. So here is gascon. We can if this thing to death. What he means is we can constantly say that if he had been incarcerated, he couldn't have done this, but that's not a speculation. The simple truth of it is if this guy had been locked up, he couldn't have done this particular offense. I mean, that is, that's a fact. Quote, there's certainly many opportunities for tragedy to have occurred, but the reality is when you have the history, this individual had the outcome was appropriate under the circumstances. Now I don't think you're a gascon means the outcome of shooting the cops. I think he means the outcome of letting the guy out. But, you know, no surprise, the widow or the mother of Joseph Santana was furious. And blames gascon. She says this guy should be recalled immediately. He's destroyed so many lives. He's completely destroyed hours. We're just completely devastated. And Eric siddle, the vice president of the LA, deputy district attorneys association. He says, quote, under California law, flourish should have been in a state prison cell on the day he murdered the two officers. Instead, because of George gascon's policies, he was in a hotel room in El Monte, beating his girlfriend until two officers responded to the call for help, now the two officers are dead. And siddle goes on to say that that when gascon came in, he quote issued an order that all strike offenses that were charged by the prior district attorney were to be stricken. In other words, eliminate all the charges of my predecessor. Just get rid of them. And number two, he ordered that all cases eligible for probation should be given probation. Those were his orders. So the point here is that people are sometimes eligible for probation. That doesn't mean they get it. It's kind of like people who are eligible at some point to be hinkley was recently or eligible for parole, eligible for being let out, but many times they're not let out. Why? Because you're not rehabilitated. It's not safe to put you back out on the street. So gascon is basically the criminals favorite attorney prosecutorial attorney. He's not the kind of guy you want if you want safe streets in LA. Now maybe people in LA don't want to save streets. Maybe they don't care. Maybe they want to progressive like gascon in there and that's the end of the story. I don't think so. I think we're going to see in LA as in San Francisco, a desire on the part of the people. It will be going to be very interesting if this is also led by non whites, that if the progressive whites vote for gascon and the non whites decide that they would rather live in safer neighborhoods..

"Just when I thought cackling Kamala couldn't say anything that could be stupider. Then what she said before, let's play the clip of cackling Kamala claiming that abortion will not affect your religious beliefs, roll the clip. Faith leaders. And, you know, for those of us of faith, I think that we agree many of us that there's nothing about this issue that will require anyone to abandon their faith. Or change their faith. It's simply saying that the government should not have the ability to decide what an individual does with her own body. You're going to hell, can I say that for 200? There's no way in the world that you can think to yourself that what she said makes any sense. And it's funny, it's interesting. How is my body my choice until you know what the Fauci? The Fauci out she happened. And then now it's my body to government choice. But when there's women is my body my choice. Listen, I'm never going to understand my body my choice ever. First of all, it's wrong. It's murder. Second of all, is your body your choice until you go down to the child's port office, then it's my choice. And everybody know what I'm saying. I ain't never in my life seen a woman saying it's my body, my choice, and I had this baby. And you know what? You don't have to take care of it. You don't have to be aware. You don't have to pay me nothing. I'm just going to go on by myself as my responsibility. Three women probably have done it. Out of a 100,000. It doesn't occur that way. And I just think when it comes down to is that there are people who are selfish, abortion is one of the most selfish things you can do in your life. How are you going to play God? You laid up and had a baby with Tyrone and you knew Tyrone was in and out of prison so you can't use that as an excuse. Are you lay up with Tony and you knew Tony was a frat boy drinking beer every day and he wasn't going to be a good father, but even if you lay up with somebody, you don't get to have the opportunity to say, I'm going to kill this child because I feel like his or her life is not worth sacrificing things in my life. And the interesting part is that a woman can be driving to an abortion clinic. Now, man runs a stop sign T bones her kills the baby in her stomach, he goes to prison for murder, yet if he did not hit her and she made it to the abortion clinic, she would not be charged for anything. And another interesting thing is that most.

"And I know that you said that you had some sense call in and explain that it can be common. I've heard both sides of common. It's not common. There's kind of an argument there. But even with their explanation of how the cows die, I still believe based on some research and things that I've done. That it is still possible for both to be true that the cows died because of the heat or because of the food and how they were in getting ready to be slaughtered, but I also believe that that could have been their way of killing the cows and making it look accidental. And that I still believe that the government is trying to shorten the food supply like they've been doing with some others. And I just was curious about your thought about that. Yeah, thank you so much. You said Jerry Anne. Yes. Yes, sorry about that, Jerry Ann. Yeah, I think that here's my take on it. I think that I see, I think that I see. I hear the other side of the argument based on what those individuals told me on the phone was that there's like 27,000 cattle a day going in for the slaughter and at any given time over a half a million cattle in the feed lots, you know, being fed and preparing to be slaughtered. So what it makes me feel like it's that 10,000 is kind of an insignificant number when you look at the grand scheme of things. And I think that that's what makes it hard for me to think the government orchestrated this because if you have only a fraction of a day's worth of cattle being slaughtered that the government didn't make any significant change to the cattle in this country or the feat supply, I mean that's like a half of one day throughout the 365 days of the year that those cattle had passed away. So I see why people think both sides of it, but the explanation from being and sharing who contacted me earlier seems to be a little more foolproof. Nash from Las Vegas welcome to the off state of show. Thank you for taking my call. Did you see that the Russian has captured two American fighters in the Ukraine that were fighting with the Ukrainian army? I haven't seen that, but I think this is going to cause a big problem. Okay, what's going to happen now? Because they just had glad got three of them last week, two from Britain, one I forgot where the other guy was from, but their sentences to death and here you got the same scenario. These are army veterans that went to fight for basically the azov, battalion, the neo Nazis of the Ukraine military and I think is going to send some to death. So what is Biden going to do? Is that going to draw us in the war right there? Thank you for the call. That is a good question. That is an interesting question because when you posture yourself up and you say your big bad and tough and then they kill two American citizens, what are you going to do about it? If you ask me, I think we got to avenge the death of any American killed.

LA County Citizens Set to Recall DA
"We see DA's around the country letting out criminals and these criminals are pillaging people killing them and also killing officers. There's a way to fix that and your city, if you have a DA dependent on the laws around your state in California, you can recall the district attorney. They've recalled the one in San Francisco, chess of Odin, however you say his name and they are getting enough signatures to recall a gascon. Gascon is responsible for the two officers getting murdered the other day. And I think he's vicariously responsible because the man should have been in prison. He should still be there today. He would have gotten life a life sentence, according to the three strikes rule. Outside of that, they let him do no jail time after being on probation for a gun charge. Then he goes and gets out, gets a gun in a state where he's not supposed to be able to buy guns. He gets a gun and he killed police officers. This is not the only occurrence ladies and gentlemen. And the woke ideology surrounding these particular ideas are baffling to me.

How Much Do Politicians Care for Law Enforcement
"Policing in America, I my heart goes out to the law enforcement officers that are currently still doing the job. I want to encourage them to continue to fight the good fight. I've done the job. I don't know how they do it today. I don't know how you go to work, putting your life on the line with the expectation that the city, the people of the city, politicians would at least have your back if you do what's right. Now we're seeing that the politicians don't have your back and they couldn't care less what happened to you if it's going to save them politically. We see DA's around the country letting out criminals and these criminals are pillaging people killing them and also killing officers. "Thank God I was also rescued, not only spiritually, but naturally. And I liked a couple of those two things together because I feel like when I was saved, you know, being born again as a Christian, I could not wait to tell the world what I have discovered. How a gospel transformation has occurred in my life. And then when I woke up and got off the Democrat plantation, I had the same level of energy. That I can not wait to tell as many people as I can, that there is another side to this. I have been lied to. My whole life, by my peers, by people I looked up to, telling me that these political realities that they were brought up to believe were actually true. They're not true at all.

Woke Athletes Should Stick to Sports
"Men and women, the people of America, I am sick and tired of athletes. And coaches who supposed to be shooting three pointers, supposed to be coaching teams, congratulations to Steve Kerr. The only reason he won, he won, right? The only reason that he won because he was the Arizona alumni. But outside of that, you supposed to be doing your thing, but they putting their hands in a politics in ways in which I think are rooted in stupidity. Steve Kerr came out and said and cried about good laws and just country. Enough is enough. And then he runs off the stage. And then Joe burrows, I love that kid, man. If y'all don't know it's the Bengals quarterback right now, I love them when he was in college, LSU won the national championship. I said, man, that kid got hard. Come back season. It was amazing. He got drafted number one overall. He got obliterated his first year because officer line was blocking as if they only had one leg. And then he came back and he went to the championship and I rooted for him. I said Joe burrow, I hope that you win this thing and be an upset. You know, be a part of an upset victory. However, I have since changed my mind because I believe he's going to walk in and woke. So I don't believe me. Wrote a clip. You know, you're not going to outline everything you got to at least make it harder to get those crazy guns that everybody's using. I don't think you should be able to just walk in there and buy one. You got to be able to go through a rigorous process to be able to buy something like that, I think. So, you know, hopefully the people that get paid to make those decisions figure that out, my job is to play football, but hopefully the politicians can figure that one out.

Cattle Ranchers May Have Been Responsible for Cattle Deaths
"I was incorrect and did not have the full information about the cattle that had passed away in Kansas. The story has reported how the story is being reported that there was at least 10,000 cattle that had passed away due to a heat wave. Now, in my mind, because I have zero adequate knowledge around cattle ranching, and also I have skepticism that's a mile long when it comes to our government and I'm slightly a conspiracy theorist. I believe that there could have been a nefarious cause to the cattle losing their lives. However, because of great people like you guys that listen to the show, there were two people that called me that there are a couple. They called me, they listened to my show on YouTube, and they said, hey, Brandon, can we talk to you? We want to give you some better information about the cattle out there in southwest Kansas. And I said, let's do it. They called me on the phone, and this is what they told me. That the death of the 10,000 cattle is not abnormal. If you a cattle rancher, it's not abnormal for a heat wave to cause this level of death. And the significant points that I took from the conversation that I had with them is that little do you know many of us, how many cattle are actually out there? From the information that they told me that there was, there could be anywhere from a half a million cattle and what they call feet lots.

If You Want to Be Better, Fight for It
"Politics may be out of control, things may seem that they're going in the wrong direction. However, God is still in control, so no matter what it is, you can rest assure that it's going to be all right. God got this taken care of. There's a lot of things that we can use in this moment. To learn from, to grow from a lot of adversity that may come your way, it's happening to you so that you can become a better person on the other side. This is my pitch to everybody that is listening that if you want to become better and the difference between you and the person next to you that may become better is that if you take this as an opportunity and you come out on the other side victorious and you fight and you weather the storm, things will go well for you. If you do not and you sit around and make excuses and you have this idea of what was me, you're gonna come out on the other side and be hurting. I said this very same thing in 2020. And it was the young man that I listened to, there was a Christian. I think his name is Marcus Rogers. He said, dad, God gave him a message. That, in 2020, it's going to be a reckoning for some people. If you persevere if you hold true to the values you fight through it, you're going to come out on the other side and be victorious and there's going to be others that do not.

"Is good. I mean, you know, where we are in Taos, New Mexico. We're seeing a lot of people that obviously exercise. And this is a, you know, in the winter, this place is all about, you know, skiing and sporty involved, right? And you can tell, if people look massively different than some of the other places. We've we've that, you know, I don't know how my head or my brain went from talking about pigs to talking about people, but I don't know, you may need a break, I mean break down. But so, what are you observing from our experience? Thus far? You know, I was thinking about, you know, we started the day in Roswell because, you know, we have kind of a fleeting, you know, interest in this whole alien business and we've, we've followed that from time to time and, and, you know, the reporting on that varies from the sublime to the ridiculous, for sure. And a lot of it was very campy but then there's also the scientific stuff. I forget off before we went to this, the UFO Museum and scientific research center, which was also very. You know, roadside can't be type of thing. But what I was noticing a was there was a lot of sort of overly interested. Guys looking I think they were spending like the whole day. They're like, no, it was, it was a people were staying for like, several days there to go to all the way in charge these stories. Yes, I'm at, frankly, I was ready to get out of there after about 15, I know. So it's like okay so there's there's that. But then I also was noticing like maybe because of some of the displays were so dead. Artsy-fartsy, you know, put together is is how skeptical in general. People are like you know, that's just that's just a myth or whatever and yet there's this scientific stuff. The government is putting out about actual Navy officers, observing actual. You know, I think they've renamed them. They're not UFOs anymore, there something else that sounds a little less threatening. So I was just kind of watching you're talking about that report that came out two weeks ago. Yeah, so in case you guys don't know this frankly if you don't know it you're probably going to live a long healthy life, you'll be fine. You'll need to notice. But if you're just mildly curious, there was a report that came out. I think it was two weeks ago that that I frankly didn't really reveal anything. But in essence it basically said the government is acknowledging. The fact that there's I think they're uae's, right? Yes. And identify page something great. When you do that till you're in, make the fan speed. You're active in louder, right? So we're going to go with that. So the reality of it is is that they are admitting now that there's some u a e s and they are admitting right now that the FAQ I said the people are going to, you know, they're gonna have to eventually come to terms with the heck. These things are so I'm all right. I'll turn on the air-conditioning sensor, nicely complaining. All right, so that's fine. Yeah. Anything better. Yes, thank you. Where we're going from being in the sun to air conditioning and remember where we were when we started the day it was a hundred degrees now it's 72, right. So as far as the aliens stuff goes who knows, right? If she knows just curious to see how people take in the information, and, you know, put it in the grinder and what they end up thinking about it. So that's where we started the day. And then we just arrived here in Taos, which is beautiful. We went through an incredible rain shower, maybe lasted. I don't know, twenty minutes and the temperature dropped thirty degrees. And so of course, the only wanted to know if it was going to snow drop 30° in like 5 minutes, it was amazing. Might snow Zoey, just be patient, you might get some snow. Yes, but it smells really good because there's so many different plants. It's weird to you, but it's normal to birth. We'll live around here, and it's just refreshing. So that's part of our big adventure. But you know, when we were driving through so many of when we're all that land on either side of the road and I was thinking, I hope that people get the opportunity to see not just, you know, there's the open road that's fine, but not just hundreds of Acres or thousands of Acres. I'm pretty sure we were looking at millions of Acres outside found. It would have a little ranch entrance. So and so's Ranch, but you couldn't really tell what they were ranching until you looked way off hundreds of acres and you'd see a herd of tiny little dots which had to be cuddled, you know, I mean these are major operations. Do you remember when we were in Montana? And this was years ago and we were in Big Sky and we were looking, it was around the 4th of July which is ironically around the same time there and I remember looking up at the sky and you could actually see cuz the sky was so clear. You could actually see the bend of this. Apparently, you remember that though. That was amazing. So what we experienced a dog, Driving here with something very similar because obviously you couldn't see the curvature of the Earth from, you know, the ground level. But you the fact that you could see for so many miles and those had to be hundreds of, I mean, it's even pause is even more than that. We're able to see on both sides. It's it's extraordinary to cuz we're only we're often out there driving by ourselves and nobody else was driving there. So he can you chill sister. Doing your best bet. She's very lucky to spend the car for 5 hours. She's doing good though. Yeah, so I mean, that was, those are the types of things visually that once you see them at sort of does cause something emotional, at least I feel it's amazing. Give you a bit of hard reset. It, does, you know, it's good to be just out in a different environment and different things. So, that's pretty much our take on the day. This was not a super long drive. We're still in the same state for example, but we're staying in a lovely place. By the way, if you guys ever get up here to Taos, El Monte Sagrado, which I believe, means the sacred Mountain. So, and I thought a small around here somewhere. So yeah. Oh, I see what you're working towards. Yeah. Okay. Where are we going after this? What's the next destination? Walk around house. After this will be driving north to Colorado, and eventually end up in College Park. So maybe we stay in Taos, maybe tomorrow too. Yeah, I'm done with that. Okay. And we'll go up to Estes Park and then after that, we're going to definitely head towards Montana, indeed. Okay, so what will give if you are in around Taos, New Mexico, Would hang out for Julie and I will be here. And Zoe who's about the end of her? Patience patience. I think she's about to blow a baby few. So we're gonna have to run this podcast a little bit off. Yeah. So do you have anything you want to say? Here's your microphone. You want to say anything a little girl? So go ahead, talk. No, don't be silly. What do you want to say about? What do you think about the trip so far? That's right. That is funny. Why are we at a really fancy? It's still sitting in the car. Has a good observation point. So what do you think? So we're listening to a book called the graveyard book. Yes by Neil Gaiman Gaiman and Zoe. What do you think about the book club you like it or love it? Okay, can you tell him what the book is about? It's pretty complicated. It is. And this is the second, or third time that you. And I believe it's always first time, but if you guys have a chance to listen to something that's off of the real estate menu, which is good. Yep. It's the graveyard book. Yeah, we are finishing the book. No tomorrow. Sweetie tomorrow. Yep. So there you go. Yes. That stays podcast. We're going to when we have a little bit were talk about with you guys. We certainly will. But in the meantime, thank you for all your great feedback on our experience so far.
