"Get don't misinterpret. What we're saying? He's not saying he knew about this at the time. What he said is they were being investigated. Hacienda was being investigated by DAS because. Of irregular billing or a monetary situation line intial investigating right? But if you dug in a little bit more would we have found abuse would we have found some kind of sexual abuse. Would we have found other things? Well, we don't have a crystal ball. We don't know that. But Tim, Tim Jeffries is saying is look this investigation started. I was forced to resign. The investigation stopped. Why was it stopped take away with this horrific thing that this twenty nine year old woman, just the financial part? I started this investigation. Why did it stop in the first place? So I feel bad for the guy. On his watch. He started something that could have made it a much better situation for this woman. But he shouldn't blame himself either. I mean, he got fired. He couldn't he couldn't keep going with the investigation. Right. Why did the investigation stopped? That's an interesting question. Well, I mean, there's a reason that he got fired though. No, there's no doubt. There's there was there was there was he Tim Jeffries fired seventy two managers a DAS. That was controversial. There was that party in Nogales where he was paying for alcohol for employees state money. So he had a couple of scandals. I think Ducey looked at it and said, okay, I'm firing this guy. I don't know why. But it stop. He was if it was so bad. It was a finding. That's the Gatien would have kept going, right? But the investigation was only over finances, which I'm not saying is if you say only, but I mean, if they're bilking the state for thousands or millions of dollars, I get it. But it wasn't. I guess what? I'm trying to say is the investigation wasn't about sexual assault. At that time. It wasn't about poor care at hacienda healthcare, right? If it was it probably would have been finished or it probably would have the investigate. So if you go back to two thousand fifteen or twenty sixteen and you look at the investigation into hacienda. It had nothing to do about bad care. It had nothing to do about the rape. Yeah. It had to do with financial stuff. Right. So no one could have seen this coming. If it was an investigation about how there was abuse of patients and not financials that's a different story hard to see. I mean, let's what happened in El Mirage with the sheriff's office number of years ago. I mean, I again, I don't remember what happened. Those four hundred rapes that weren't investigated those four hundred rape kits that weren't investigated by the sheriff's office. Just because just because there is knowledge of it doesn't necessarily mean you're talking about the rape kits that. Yeah. Yeah. Just because there's knowledge of it doesn't necessarily mean that everybody would have been found this rapist would have never been able to strike or this person, you know. What if what bothers me is our is Phoenix PD going to solve this solve this crime. Which I hope they do. And we find out this person was there for years, and that there are other victims possibility, exactly. And that's why I said it's gonna get worse before it gets better. But Tim Jeffries was very very elucidating with. Hey, look, I was investigating them for this it stopped after I was let go. He's got to go on an apology tour because of this. Yes, he was the governor at he's the governor at the time. But you see agree GIS missed. This is an egregious thing that happened to this woman. And they started the investigation not about this woman. Still an investigation going on. Why did it stop? I think it's a stretch to say that this is an under governor Doug ducey's watch. I guess on his watch. It was done in two thousand fourteen the investigation started in two thousand but but I'm not comfortable with saying the rape is under his on his watch. I mean, that's that's you know, could Doug Ducey of stopped the rape of this woman. Now, you're going out. But the the family does deserve an apology from the state the state gives them funds. They didn't investigation they failed this woman, and maybe others as well as as financial malfeasance. I mean, but when Tim Jeffries just drops, it introduces Lapin says that's where that's where it stops. And he should apologize. Everybody. Listen, there were a lot of people that could have found out about this. Maybe some people that knew about it. Maybe there was a cover up, and we'll have the company. I mean, maybe he's the guy that should go in apologize. And he's thirty. Maybe you should go on an apology tour it him and others. That's true. Well, a lot of people dropped the ball here. Rick Romley, I think is going to find out a lot of stuff that we're not going to be comfortable with and good. He should hired by hacienda. Yeah. Look into this. All right. You're listening to the big four at four. We're halfway through. We've got big story three and big story for to go. All right. Becky Lynn is on Arizona's news station..

"No longer under any severe thunderstorm warnings within the Phoenix metro area. So that's the good news there. Those storms had dropped below disabused threshold, which by the way, the severe threshold is quarter-sized hail or wind gusts. Upwards of fifty eight miles an hour that doesn't mean me storms aren't strong though. And especially in the west alleys where we're seeing if you're in the east valley and Chandler Mesa Queen creek, you're looking like what storms because it's all clear, but again from about Levin over to El Mirage over the Peoria, we've got one celled is kind of riding along grand avenue is uncertain.
