"When they feel happy, most of the time. I like that. Probabilistically, it's probably the case that many people smile when they feel happy. Most of the time. So a baby sees their parents smile and will pick up that the adult is probably happy. And the same goes for the parent, seeing their baby smile. An emotion is being communicated, right? And same goes for other feelings, like fear, wide eyes, sad, frown, and so on. That's what a major psychologist named Paul ekman is famous for theorizing. These facial cues are supposed to give us the keys to recognize our true feelings. They help us pick up on what someone else is feeling too, which is obviously really important. Paul ekman was arguing that there's a set of basic universal emotions, happy side anger fear disgust and surprises included in that sometimes. And his argument was these emotions or universally felt their universally identified their universally expressed in the specific kinds of facial configurations and I think that's the work that's predominated the field. Happiness sadness, anger, fear, disgust, surprise, contempt, y'all might be like, okay, those are universal emotions. That's a pretty obvious list. Of course I smile when I'm happy. But here's the thing. Nearly everyone who studies emotion has a different take on how universal emotions are or aren't. More workers come out. You have people on the complete opposite side of the spectrum he would argue that this view of emotions is very dated and isn't applicable at all. That first theory was how a lot of us might have first described emotions for a lot of our lives. Scientists have come to label this theory as quote unquote essentialist or universal. As in everyone in any culture, universally or essentially equates a smiley face with someone experiencing joy or happiness. And a frown with someone who's mad, and so on. I know that sounds a little jargony, but we're gonna come back around to this later in a way that I find very.

"Well, at the managers level, I'd say not now if I'm Henrik and Daniel, you say a little more money. I'm like, good, yeah, 4 million each. These guys need, do they need that headache? Come on. No, they don't. I mean, they want they signed on to learn and to see if this was something that could be full-time for them that could be like managers or the presidents of the team. But a change at that level at midseason? I don't know, I don't know how it makes a big difference. You could change the code Travis green. You know, they brought Bradshaw in in the off season. I mean, maybe that's a move they could make. But Travis was considered a very good coach four months ago. Now he's a bad coach. I mean, that doesn't make any sense to me either. At the core of this Drake's they're a poorly constructed team. Right. You know, they made it's easy for me to say, hey, why would do? I'm just sitting in my hotel room here. My decisions don't, you know, they don't, they're not really impactful. So they made that huge trade in the summer where they offloaded all the stuff from their free agent mishaps to Arizona for Conor Garland and Oliver ekman Larson. And ekman Larson's been pretty good. Garland's been okay, but they've committed $12 million to those guys for the next 5 years. All they had to do was wait one more year. One more year in those three contracts. Ericsson beagle roussel would be off the ball. They could have buried one of those guys in the American League and saved one. I think it's $1.2 million. They could have not signed Pearson last year. That would have brought them to over four and a half $1 million. Maybe they would have tanf. Maybe they would have to fully. They never stay on the rails long enough to follow a plan through. And it leads you into a little bit of this and a little bit of that. And if you're halfway you're nowhere. And that's kind of kind of where they are. Yeah, and you can't take it in the teeth now, right? You can't really take it in the teeth now and say, okay, well, let's just fold up here and we'll focus on the draft pick and see how it goes. I mean, it's almost too late for that, isn't it? It is because you've brought on the $12 million in my opinion of ackermann Larson and Garland. The time for this was to take a real look at your team when they weren't really a playoff team..

"And welcome in to poke the bear, episode 50. I'm Evan Aronofsky back here with Conor Ryan. Yes, I'm back from vacation, Connor killed it last week, doing it all on his own, which people don't realize is not easy. That's not an easy thing to do, and I'm not that we don't have a lot to say, but talking for forty-five minutes straight is not exactly the greatest thing in the world for the voice box. So, maybe I'll do the majority of the talking today. You're rested up interests up after that. Yeah, the good thing though, Evan is at least we had to talk about like Oliver ekman-larsson and like it's very easy to get wound up as to why the Bruins couldn't get them cuz he's men legit like a garbage over the last like two years like not not like kind of bad like not Lego little Reclamation project know he costs a crap ton of money and my god he has been absolutely Dreadful so long. Riffing off of a bad for about 20 minutes. Did a pretty good job shutouts Oliver ekman-larsson for hopefully contributing into one positive way. He will on any Bruins discussions because if the Bruins get him we're not begrudge it. Just come out that the coyotes are only. They only want to retain like one point two five million of a salary is that one cameras up. Yeah. Which just the latest and just a clown, a clown show operation about there being this is a team that whether it's the fact that they can't even pay off their own bills for their own Arena, Which is far away outside of the actual City of Phoenix, back to having a horrible farm system to all of their absolute, you know, mishandling of the draft, the last couple of years, or some of the guys they picked coupled with effect. They lost their first pick for things like improper. Like draft testing, I don't know. The exact thing is what it was, losing a first-round pick because of it. So now the new thing is moving karna, Galant Homme. Is they don't want to pay a guy who is been their best foot forward for probably the last two years which seems like he's well in line to get a single. I think he's making seven seventy-five thousand last year. So would seem like he's more than do for that. I would say Evan. Yeah not not going to pay that guy, but then trying to still have leverage when you've got a busted off defenseman, you're trying to offload. So great. Rationale, from that team going to see the NHL's can you to prop up a franchise like that, that seems to slowly be dying in the desert. So, yeah, if we open at 5. So just by burying the coyotes but you know what? They deserve it that reference as a joke I guess they were after a hot start just absolutely ripping ripping apart the coyotes which as you said, very well deserved. I mean, just a joke down there. So funny that like Vegas in like four years. Completely overtook them as like the team in the desert. So happy to see that. Yes, Conor Garland as well. That stuff is great. We'll get into that home..

"Want to make a trade with could see you got like Vince tan getting moved, I like Ben Stein, he's a good player but he's not I can see them getting a guy like Vince tan and Bruins fans not being thrown has been Stones. I think six feet nothing more maybe more of a playmaking guy but pretty solid in his own Zone but I feel if you don't get one of these bigger bodies like like oleksiak or even a McCabe, I want people going to be up in arms so we'll see what they do. But Echo makes the most sense it's going to be whether or not Nashville. Wants to move him at this point, which they didn't do last year. And who knows how this Bruins playoff run would have changed if echoing was available and they spoke to the fence and got him, because he is a legitimate repairing guy that could impact a lot of teams decoders, if he was available, and then we will wrap up with John Simmons Jr. Who says main questions with the Bruins be active in free agency? Will they be pedestrian? Like they have been in years past. I expect them to be very active John. I think especially the writing's on the wall that you probably have one year. Maybe maybe 2 years left of legitimate. Contention. So as I said earlier, you can't do half measures at this point. You need to get at least one or two defensemen out there with its trade or free agency and I think you need to spend big and get a guy like Coleman. Even if it's an over pay those guys make the a world of difference as much as people want to wage. About teams like the blues and how they help muscle the Bruins. You look at the blues, you look at Tampa Bay, you look at, even in like, Montreal this year. One thing they all have in common thoughts of depth and they all have multiple lines that can kill you. Even look at the Islanders, where they've got their bottom six or producing, you can't get through the gauntlet of a playoff, a push without having all four lines being rolling rolling on all four lines and having them contributing. So, for the Bruins, I think the writing's on the wall, you know what the flaws are, you know, how to address this these issues, so proud of spending big, but I think you have to do it through free agency, there's no other real option, unless you want to be stuck in this. Perpetual second-round exit the next year or two until eventually you have to blow it all up. So I think it's a nice option and I think that probably cognizant of the fact that that needs to be done. Another question. From John, who just try to let go and why is it Jake debrusk? So yeah, it's going to be interesting cake. After with the Brusque again, I'm not moving him for the sake of just moving him because I still think there's value there as much as probably shot as terms of, you know, moving him in a trade. But I'm only going to be a tough situation with the Bruins because perfect world you'd like to have him back. Let's say, you haven't back on the left side with coil, maybe he rebounds? Maybe in the post covid-19, he's off not stuck in a hotel room, he gets back to you know, enjoying going to the rink and his game rebounds and he becomes the 20 goal scorer of that..

"The underlying metrics and the way he played and you can see that you put them in a new spot. Like I'm still a good player. Like his transition numbers were very, very strong, you know. Takeaways, we're pretty strong, we just kind of an indicator of I think, what we all saw when he was in Boston, which is that had a game was pretty slept on, you know, I think we saw that quite a bit when he got here and you looked at, you know, Halls ability, even on a bad Buffalo team with not a lot of supporting help, you generate High danger chances, you could see that, you know, maybe he's just in a rough spot, maybe his individual game if he puts it puts them in a new spot, he does much better X-Men alarm. Not really the same situation because his individual play. Was very bad. He was downright Dreadful last year and that's not to say that it's a. You can blend it all on. Just the the system that, you know, maybe who's in with a rep earlier on in the year or the fact that Arizona's kind of a, a whole home team. But, you know, there are plenty of other guys on that decore for Arizona, who had much better Seasons. 52 train was really kind of leapfrogged ekman-larsson in on the depth chart that he's pretty much, you know, go to top pairing bloodshot guy. Now he had a great year so it's not a system in Arizona. It's unfortunate. Seems like it's more of a common license game himself. I mean if you look at you know, Jake fresh hockey at day for ice, hockey does a great job of I think creating these play accomplish that show you where players ranked in their percentile amongst other players in their position across the league and you'll get a criminal acts. And I mean last year, 19th percentile and even strength off at home. Amongst defenseman, 12% percentile and even straight defense amongst defenseman not great. So he's not giving you either. One of the things you need which is offense from the blue line or wage, very least, he's shutting down. Chances on the other end of the ice, the 1 percentile and power place. It's not like he's even a guy that as much as he has, kind of warts in his game, he's still Generation stuff on the on the PowerPlay not having that either and it's quality competition who's in the 47th percentile. So it's not like he's this guy who unfortunately his his numbers aren't that great because he's averaging, you know, 40% offensive zone faceoffs or or what-have-you it's not like he's kind of, you know, fed to the wolves in that system. He's getting favorable matchups and wage. The Kyrie's getting absolutely hemmed in when he's out there..

"Second round, pick something like that. So obviously last year didn't get done between the Bruins cannot. So the coyotes ekman-larsson stayed put and I imagine that the coyotes are probably regarding that quite a bit. They didn't get, you know, you know get him off the books for pennies on the dollar even because he was acting honors, it was pretty Dreadful last year. I mean, you kind of look at equinoxes game and whole bunch of like about them. You know, in terms of, if you kind of know though, the resume that he's had over his, I think eleven years in Arizona guy who played Twenty-One twenty-two minutes a night for a long time. Was a very, very good job. You know, generator of offense from the blue line, which you look at the Bruins and what they're looking for, this office is going to make a meal. He's talked about, we've talked about on this podcast before that off the need to get a legitimate you know, top pairing left shot d. A guy that can average 20-plus minutes a night. Generate offense. I mean from a six-year stretch for economics and from 2013 to 2019 the guy average 16 and 1/2 goals per season. It's not like he's just a guy who just bomb in from the blue-line, like he's a an established playmaker in this league, so from the Bruins perspective and kind of circling back once again, to surprise a very few, the coyotes are looking to move that point laughs. And again, Craig Morgan of easy Cotija cider, who's very well-connected down there said that, you know, once again, coyotes are exploring trade options for ekman-larsson and this this year, I think, especially considering how much last year kind of went off the rails wage. I think there's a mutual understanding between both parties that, you know, I don't think it's going to be as picky with where he goes with that no-movement Clause so I'm sure he wouldn't be thrilled about going to Winnipeg, right? But if there's another team that has a, a good offer, I think probably the the writing is on the wall between ekman-larsson, the coyotes that maybe a change of scenery is kind of the the go to move. Now at this point, considering how things have gone. So from the brunch perspective, you know if you're looking at that change of scenery, you know maybe he's a guy you take a fly around because again we know what ekman-larsson who who's twenty nine years old. You know, we know what he can bring over his last couple of years and if he's the guy that is even 85% of what he was during that, you know, 2013 to 2019 stretch. That's great, right? Especially considering, you're probably not going to have to give up the same amount, would have to give up for a neck home, or Noah hanifin or or one of these other guys where instead of it being, uh, you know, first round pick, you know, debrusk and stood Nika or something like that..

Arizona 85% Craig Morgan 2013 last year Winnipeg 16 six-year eleven years 2019 Second round Twenty-One ekman-larsson both parties first round Noah hanifin this year one Nika 1/2 goals

"I'm your host Conor Ryan flying solo today. As our esteem MC Evan Mera. Naam, ski is currently down the cape, enjoying some much-needed time off. So this is so low operation today. Going to be a little bit different from our normal show off or need any kind of go back and forth going through topics. But you know, we're still going to focus on some of the, the main issues, some of the emerging Trends I guess you want to say going into this offseason. The Bruins namely I guess kind of starting off with a familiar off-season narrative. You follow along last year in Oliver ekman-larsson and the Bruins game. Potential interests in the Arizona Coyotes Captain. So we'll talk about that a little bit and then kind of rounding up the second half of the show. We're going to focus on a few listeners submitted questions that we got through each other, which kind of cover the whole gamut of different things. So, again, a little bit of different show. Hopefully, Evan will have, you know, it's a nice time off. Go to Sunday school down in the cape, shoutouts home school, go to the beach, get a tan and come back and be ready to record. Are podcasts as normal going into next week. So yeah, I guess starting with just kind of dive right into it with all kind of the the main topic. Again, we're in the, the doldrums, I guess you want to say, of of this offseason in terms of, not a lot of tangible news going on right now. And again, that's not going to be the case until probably the end of July. We're going to have some actual legitimate news to talk about because Until we get to I think it's July 21st with the Seattle expansion draft. You're not going to see a lot, a whole bunch of, you know, crazy movies, you know, even trades which can happen before that way. I don't think you're going to see any team significantly augment their Rasta until the the crack and have their pick of all these different players because you're not going to have,.

"I think Draeger said that coyotes began they've got talent there they got, and they've got a they've got, you know, ekman-larsson they got pieces there but it seems like especially with new management in town with Armstrong. They could be looking at kind of just getting wiping the Slate clean and freeing up money and kind of months starting from scratch. I think Gregor said that the Kennedys are willing to discuss what anything on the trade front so make of that what you will in terms of who's available but something Fame, In a more position to kind of hit the reset button the Nashville where again, I don't know if it's the right move or not, but you know, they mention that Nashville. Could trade at home, right? But also they're not, you know, they're not inclined to do it just for the sake of doing it. Right like he's got another year on his contract. They're still I think dead playoff pictures and Chicago's coming back down to earth which again, I don't know why you're still trying to extend this kind of window that you have at you really don't have your Nashville, right? I don't know if what what run you're going to going to be going on break that might be complicating things a little bit. If for teams looking to acquire some of the guys Nashville has but for Arizona though, if you know gallons available, you know, they've got other boxes. They've got some defenseman who are on expiring contracts to get none of them are game changers like at home. But if you just looking for bodies, they've got a few guys and kind of look at Arizona, right? It's tough to kind of dog is up what Arizona wants to do because we were in this position months ago talking about the Bruins, you know, trying to get Oliver ekman-larsson from them and the team wanted to get that contract off the books wage. Considering that team also is like behind on his rent payments for their own Arena. It's not great. So you can make sense why they're trying to free up some cash. But.

"You can't trust them But this is a spot here where you think okay. Why are they getting appointed on the road. And then that's when they win. So i i i don't i don't blame me for going in that direction on that one but for me it's a stay away. The next game is I think an interesting one at four o'clock. It's the dolphins going into denver. Miami three and a half point road favorite's role now at two and the total here is forty five and a half. I really wanna pick the broncos here to a road game tough place to play even with no fans in the stands with the maya high factor. The broncos are up and down up and down. But i know getting three and a half at home against a rookie quarterback but they've got quarterback issues with drew lock obviously and it doesn't look like he didn't practice today So you know. It's kind of ridiculous to sit here and say like well. If drew lock was the quarterback. I'd bet them is if drew glock was. Yeah some kind of top ten quarterback. I think i would pick denver way. I just think the dolphins it do at some point for a little bit of a thumper. And i think this could be it but you know i always. I always hate teams going into denver You know we talk about it. That's the one place where even in a year with no fans. You have something of a home field advantage there. It's interesting i. I wanna like the dolphins year but the the things that worry me are And it's funny. It's almost like drew. Laxman awful Brett rippin it's it's it's a nice story. It's cool that he's mark ribbons Nephew and all that but He played in that thursday night game against the jets. And i don't know what the sort of general take is on him because they won that game. And i remember aikman was ekman was doing his best to be optimistic about it. I mean he's the guy is basically a third trained quarterback. He was terrible in that game. I mean he. He couldn't he couldn't play. So i think what you're going to see is the broncos are just going to try and run the thirty thirty five times and just Milk the clock in this one and and and do they to stay in it. The dolphins are susceptible to the run. They do give up some yards on the ground The dolphins are really good defensively. Because they getting these exotic blitz packages and then on top of that they have to really good cornerbacks and that's why they're not getting beaten because everyone in the league right now is built to pass the ball. The broncos are kind of kind of built to run the ball year. So i again. I'm probably twisting myself in knots. Trying to get off the dolphins. And this one. I really liked it off so i think dolphins are legitimate top ten team right now And i'm also with like to The broncos haven't been good defensively. they haven't been as as good as their their town. Which suggests i don't think they're as bad as As they'd been the last couple of weeks though. I think at some point to hang on vic. Fangio gives a rookie quarterback a lot of sort of Tricky looks to decipher and I think denver can can can hang around..

"But yeah, Morrison wants to play for the Bruins, but I've texted like my hockey friends with this about this constantly and haven't found an answer. Why does that make sense? Why would they why would it make sense to replace Torey Krug off with a more expensive player? Who's when I say more expensive? I don't just mean a v wise. I mean, you have to give up a lot of stuff to get him and not recommend Larson's a good player. Even if you may fear that he's going in the wrong direction. Why would you do that that that makes little sense to me? What if the Bruins were chained like three months of the of I mean the coyotes retained three million of it. So the Bruins would essentially pay between five and six. What is he? He's 8 to 5 a.m. I believe he's a 2-5. Yes. That's that's a different story than that's awesome. Because then you're going from paying Torey Krug 5.25 paying Oliver ekman-larsson wage. To 5 the only issue is you probably part with your 2021 first-round pick which would make it what three of four years that you don't select in the first round. Yep. The only time what did is you just sorted by height and took that guy? Although John becher I think is a good Prospect but usually which is like the most Bruins pick Evan. Yes. Oh, yeah. Yes, very very Bruins e but you're I think this does hinge on the how much does the coyotes retain. I don't think they I think the coyotes what I'm hearing and what I'm seeing is they want to just outright give up ekman-larsson and his full contract and get like a good haul and return it's like it's not more trades work like sorry. Sorry, you can't have both you have to offer you the retained some and get a little bit back in return, but you save the money or you give it up, you know in full and you don't get a lot back and I think it makes more sense for them to just keep him because you suck. Both those things aren't going to happen, especially with the flat cap. Like I only wants to go to two teams and the two teams can't really sort of like it is home using reverse Tom Brady. The player wants to teams. I think he saw what you were saying about Brady and said, you know what only like two teams going to want me. I'm going to pick those two teams as the destinations. I want to go to just like I thought like breadstick Brady came out and said I want to go to either the Chargers or the Buccaneers. Everyone's.

"Guys too, Brusque Richie Kasha Bjork, like it's just like waiting for them to pan out at least cash of looked good and it's five-on-five numbers were good when he was with the Bruins but dead. It was no production is Oliver ekman-larsson indeed. I understand that. Do you understand this at all? I don't know. I hate it and God and bless him. Apparently he gets to play for the Bruins cool. So do I but actually I don't think I would I would want to do it be kind of fun. I mean dead Hayes. Well good group of guys. Be cool expect you for sure bang out a memoir afterwards. Oh, yeah, like people would want the movie rights. How did this guy ended on the Bruins? It's like a guy who was like the one the one that for the Miami Marlins like yeah years ago. That's you or what was the there like a Dennis Quaid movie the rookie something like that. Yes. Yeah some something like that. But yeah, Morrison wants to play for the Bruins, but I've texted like my hockey friends with this about this constantly and haven't found an answer. To 5 the only issue is you probably part with your 2021 first-round pick which.

Could this offseason be pivotal for Don Sweeney?

"Could be like if we want to go there this could be the second most pivotal offseason. Don Sweeney's tenure is Jim Morrison would be I mean, yeah, we obviously know what the the first one was some hits some misses I'll defend on Thursday and say people forget the meal music trade was was very solid but should it be his want this could be kind of the offseason wear off he shakes it up and there's been there's been little shit shaking in the Don Sweeney tenure really other than that 2015 offseason where he kind of came in and moved Hamilton moved Lucic got the Draft Picks 6 in the first two rounds. We all know the story there but dead. This could be like the next kind of version of that obviously not as big but like if you look at where the Bruins are, I mean what happens with Krug? What happens with Chara those to move up itself are pretty franchised altering. And then from there there's obviously been the the Rask rumors. I I wouldn't be surprised if something happened with Rask because we we should never be surprised by anything that happens with Rask anymore. And this point that's the case. This was like a weird enough year and obviously with it happened in the the postseason like There's so much uncertainty surrounding that player that that nothing that happens with him with surprise me. So yeah between Krug we think departing who knows what happens with Chara. I think the flu tone made a really great point that was sort of an obvious point that we've all been kind of sleeping on like it is possible that Chara reaches free agency and who knows if the Bruins have or anything with him maybe a team jumps in and they're like, hey, man, you're the missing piece like this is your what what we need and maybe yeah, maybe he just maybe he departs so possibilities are plentiful and I haven't even gotten to the Do they make like a real hockey trade? Do they trade Jake debrusk? They trade Brandon Carlo. My pie-in-the-sky thing that will never happen is like they find a way to make Carlos the centerpiece of a Patrick line a deal which financially and for other reasons just does not seem like something they would do but oh my God, I have been banging the table to get more scores on this team and if they found a way even if it's losing Carlo in an offseason where you also lose Krug, like imagine if I thought they had Patrick lyonnet David pastrnak and like imagine having three of the best goal scorers in the planet on your team

"Ryan at Boston Sports Journal Connor. How are we doing? I'm doing swell 11:00. How you doing doing great doing ever since we started this podcast feels like it's just bad luck for the Celtics. I know they won that game seven when we first started this but ever since it's been not too great. That's because I didn't get the friggin st. Louis-style pizza at do they have to like going up five down there to take a rabbit again. I'm not paying like ninety bucks for like a friggin Celeste Pizza get sent through the mail. Well, that's the thing and it's not really worth it to maybe you could expense it takes report this podcast love a $7 expense report and that's what the piece is 4 and we can we just order the pizza with the expense maybe that I mean if it extends the Celtics season going to be dead. Well worth it. So yes, then it would be worth it. Then thought you'd be a hero in Boston size that $7 to be worth it. What's funny is Mark Allred tweeted about our deep dish pizza conversation. He said it's like a cheese casserole and I said No, it's it's great pizza deep-dish pizza is great pizza in my opinion. Not the best but not bad. I have to agree with Mike here. I think he's writing that it's not even a pizza dude. It's like again, it's like a cheesy casserole that you know, it's never a good thing when like there's a lot of really shity food out there that like an hour after you eat it you feel like get you literally don't want food. Yeah, you don't you literally don't even leave like you stall at like who knows without feeling like death like after you eat a deep dish pizza from place like that. That's a good way to cost not worth the price you pay Evans the price you pay obviously comes out for you. And Jack is everyone knows but the fat tomatoes so it's really dead. Honestly, I'm home this weekend. I may have to stop and who knows just spite you and tweet it and go haha meeting a deep dish pizza, but you would not be the winner there. I would laugh life. I would be the winner taste great. But anyways, anyways, anyways, there's actually a lot of Bruins or not a lot but a good amount of some real Bruins room that is out there Elliott. Friedman has 31 thoughts surprised everyone with the Bruins kicking the tires or checking in on that's the word you use checking phrase checking in on Oliver ekman-larsson of the fifties. You just signed an eight-year 8.25 million dollar a year contract out in the desert now against the desert anymore cuz it's a Vegas team..

"Maybe he's trained in it. Or maybe it's natural. I know I remember reading Dr Paul Ekman who sort of advanced the original theory of micro expressions. He said there's something like I dunno one in a few every few hundred people. I can't remember what it is like one in six hundred or some super small number of pediatric then really small that. Yes, they're called. I can't remember what they're called readers or someth- some gen generic term, but they can basically spot all of this stuff with like one hundred percent, accuracy or close to it and have never been trained. And maybe he's one of those. It's really really cool. If that's the case that those people are super intuitive seeming when they're really just observant this person said they're observing which even more unusual that they seem to know what they're looking at and what they're looking for. It's probably more a curse for him than a blessing though. Because a man. Imagine how he feels knowing how other people feel about him or about like, hey, what do you think about close? And everyone's like, you're like crap. You know, you kind of wish that maybe you didn't see what everybody's opinion was or what everybody's mood was. Because remember, it's not most people's emotions are not about you. So you're basically seeing everyone's inner monologue of crap. All the time. Definitely. I don't know if I would want to be horrible. Yeah. It's kind of like having a super sense of smell. And then you have to ride the subway to work every day. No, thanks, a gross. You know? Oh, gross. So look, I look at it this way, it's fine. If people can read me, I'm good with that. I I don't know what you're worried about in this. I guess I I don't really you. Don't have a reason to hide your feelings. You know, this is liberating. Now, you can't hide your feelings. So try being as honest as possible while remaining polite just in life in general, I do this. And I think you'll really enjoy it. Jason I feel like someone reading me. It's a great excuse to just be like, you know, what I'm gonna stop. To be stopped trying to front. Yeah. I mean, seriously, unless he's like habitually hiding things from this guy, which he shouldn't be, you know, it's just like you can be completely open and honest with somebody because you know, that they can sense they have the they have the Spidey sense. You know, so why not just be completely open and honest, which might make for an amazing friendship because on the this guy has been dealing with people who have been lying to him his whole life because he can smell it out. So if you're going to be the one guy that shows up every day and just says it like, it is how awesome would that be for him in how great of a friendship that you might just, you know, make from that. Because it's going to be a total breath of fresh air for this guy because he's like, oh, you actually say what you mean? That's that's new everybody else's lying. Yeah. And or fronting or just putting up some kind of false barrier. I think he might just now that you recognize this with this guy. I think you might be able to make a great friend out of this. This because you you you've recognized this. Yeah, it's and if you're comfortable with it probably makes a lot of other people uncomfortable only reason to worry read intimidated like you said Jason is if this guy's trying to hide something because maybe he's afraid of being judged by others. Now that you know, this is happening any way, you can stop worrying about it. And also if I were you I would quiz him on what he sees..

Dr Paul Ekman Jason one hundred percent
