"This will be the Panthers first opportunity in overtime. It's a little bit of a soccer vibe like penalty picks. It definitely is. Stevie Scott's in game the Cole Hickatini's the up back. They're gonna give it to Stevie Scott reaches into the end zone balls out Panthers on top of it. I think he was in before anyways I think you he know broke the plane. Oh my goodness. So I think the referees are talking about whether or not he fumbled it forward. Broke the plane. Brother broke the play in the end zone prior to losing possession touchdown. Okay you heard Brian Banks I like that call. And you know they're gonna be reviewing this in LA but I think you know he was in. So overtime 9 .29 here for a chance to come back to this stadium next week to play for a title in the USFL. And this assures you're gonna get a third round a third inning here now because this team's gonna be up four. So here's Pittsburgh's. I think they're holding the ball a little bit there to tell it they get confirmation from Mike Pereira in LA. And these teams got to choose which hash they want the football on. So they haven't spotted the ball yet. There's Pereira in the USFL replay center. After review the runner fumbled the ball prior to breaking the plan in the end zone. The recovery in the end zone is negated as an overtime all fumbles will return to the spot of the fumble if recovered by another player on that team. The overtime is declined. So now this is a must stop because if they if the maulers score here they're up four going into the inning third and this is ballgame. So this is a must have. So I would take a look at this if I'm coach Nolan I look at what formation they're in you know you have one timeout. I believe they would have an opportunity to run another play. We'll see here Isaiah Henney goes in motion they give it to Williams So now up by four I think. Yeah now It's Michigan's possession now. This is a must score now. Yes this is a must score. So up by four now. The maulers are in the driver's seat Panthers have to get into the end or their season is over. Whatever's your best play that you have you. This is when you dial it up And once again you got to think players not plays. We've had a lot of explosive plays today. They go empty set here Reggie Corbin on the flag. False start it looks like. Yep. And Pittsburgh saying that they're going to want to decline this. It's a pre snap penalty. You can't define it. Offense. All 11 players are not set prior to the snap. In overtime. This is treated It's a dead ball foul. It'll be five yards from the previous spot and we reattempt to try. So we'll move it back to the seven yard line. Maybe give yourself a little more space. Yeah you can do a lot more now. Different play. Yeah. I'm trying to be positive here Jay. Try to be positive. Backs against the wall. Maulers up by four here in overtime. This is a must score. Panthers have to get into the end zone. EJ Perry in the shotgun. He's got Reggie Corbin to his Perry looking tipped. Ball game. Oh he had Marcus Brown Panther season comes to an end here the at stadium where it's treated them pretty well this year. They lose it in overtime 31 to and 27 a season of ups and downs a season of winning when they needed to to get in comes to a bitter end as the Pittsburgh Maulers are your North Division champions in 2023. Yeah and you know it's to the the Panthers found a stride you know with their quarterback in EJ Perry you know in week 10. So something to build off of but you know some of these guys you know from this team is going to get looks at the next level training camp is coming up in a little bit of in a little over a month here for NFL also some of these guys will get an opportunity to showcase their talents but you know what a season for the Panthers. I think there are a lot of guys on this team I agree with you I think they're gonna get looks. I think tonight you know they brought EJ Perry in just a few weeks ago and he has really not only he picked up this offensive playbook quickly and he turned this offense into a into a different beast today explosive plays abound, 23 for 38, 370 yards, two touchdowns, an interception, our performance of the game EJ Perry today. Today's performance of the game brought to you by Performance Coat featuring epoxy coat garage and voting kits. Panthers lose it 31 to 27 in overtime their 2023 campaign comes to an end as Troy Williams gets a Gatorade bath. It's been a fun season I think from what we saw early in the season they've come a long way but I think the USFL, look this league is here to stay I believe that yeah yeah it's uh it's getting good traction there's a lot of good rules to to this game here and it's given you guys an opportunity to continue to play football and continue their careers on there so it's something that that's a it's good for it's good for football it's good for the football community and uh you know you obviously hate to see you know the Panthers end their season this way but that's that's football. "Harry with two receivers to the right Panthers down three 21 seconds left. Harry steps up throws got Kaden Davis to yard line the 37 38 yard line clock stops as he gets out out of bounds again at 16. And a great job by Kaden Davis of knowing where to go and get out of bounds get what you can and get out of bounds so they have right now about two two or three two plays before they you know go for that field goal attempt. Two receivers right one left ball near hash mark. Harry takes the snap looking throwing he's got Drake win. They're gonna say forward progress out of bounds clock stops 12 seconds left a team three yeah that's one of those ones that he was he going backwards you know was he going sideways and one thing that has to be kept mind in you know for the for uh EJ Perry he cannot take a sack. Can't take a sack. Yeah. Running the football seems to be off the board right now As as Perry settles in at the 35 yard line from the shotgun takes Looking throwing over the middle that ball is dropped. Paul Hiccatini just let it go right through his hands eight seconds left. Now you got one more play you can do anything that you want you can take it you know you can do a crossing route you can do anything in bounds but you have to catch and go down and as soon as you're down you're calling that time out everyone should be calling a Timeout as soon as the run is down you have to understand that's a runner if you can't score a touchdown go down. Eight seconds left Panthers down three ball 35 they give it to Reggie Corbin with a hole inside the tackled. Shy of the first down doesn't really matter four seconds left on the clock. Timeout it's fourth and one but here comes the field goal unit. yeah so there were the coaches staff was part talking Murphy hey what hash do you want the ball on where where do you feel more comfortable for so now it comes down to the protection you have to protect the snap has to be good the hold has to be good and obviously the kick has to be good everyone has to do their this jobs is where you know you learn the name of the long snapper you learn the holder's name as well as the kicker Shane Griffin is the long snapper Kyle Kramer who's also the is the holder Paul Murphy from 47 got the distance it's up and it is good zeros on the clock we're tied at 27 how about a little free football JU free football you pay for four quarters and you get a another possession or two for free and Cole Murphy was really into that chirping and at that at the entire molar sideline that is a big time and kick again from a guy that is he has struggled this year he's been shaky he's been shaky you know in the biggest moment of the season comes through to keep his team in this game to force with overtime a chance to go to the USFL playoffs yeah but the talk about is that the resolve of this offense you know staying the course throughout game this they got the ball back with 39 seconds and I said you know as long as you have time you have a chance and that's the same mantra that they felt right there coming out and it was methodic they went down the field there any was not signs of panic or anything like that so it's a good job to that by this offense good job by the offensive protection and better job executing all around so overtime in the SFL works very similarly to college football both teams get a at scoring had in fact an overtime game earlier here this year but you give yourself an opportunity to give yourself a chance to stay in the game we're in this one twenty seven twenty four quarters in the books what up you know what what way this is that this is that north that the North Division Championship and this is this is what it's all about you know two teams fighting hard you know it's coming in here you know that there was that talks the of you know both teams backed into the playoffs the North is not as good as the South yeah right now but they're playing good football here they're battling and at the end of the day you can't help who's who's on your schedule you play who's on your schedule well the other thing too I mean you look at the roster whether the Panthers have the or Mauler's app and then go look at the Stallions or the Breakers look these teams are very I mean I mean the the the the difference in a lot of these games is just a couple of ice yeah exactly you know there's a lot of parallel in this game in this in this league so overtime here at the Tom so we'll have a coin toss to see who goes first obviously if you win the coin toss you pop you want to defer you know because you want to see what you get so boogie Roberts the defensive tackle and gentlemen this wasn't enough welcome overtime overtime the first sections will consist of up to three innings each inning both teams will have one possession play from the two yard line if you score you'll be awarded two points if after the first two innings either team is up by four they will be declared the winner if after three innings we're still tied we'll enter will enter southern death and sudden death will still have the one play possession by each team but if either team is up at the end of that inning they will be declared the winner both teams will be afforded one 30 -second timeout that can only be used in the first three innings all replays will come from la any questions all right miss you still visitors the you get to call the toss should you win the toss your choices are offense first defense first this is head this is tails can they go two for two on the toss today okay what's your call tails never fails it's defense first all possessions will be at this end zone good luck gentlemen and we're mixing in a little baseball huh you got innings you know it's hey it's the USFL tremendous again I'll tell you I'm not a big fan of the NFL I'm just not I I would much prefer a college type of overtime where you're giving everybody a shot and you're putting best on best and and I think this is very similar to what they do in college football a little different but but pretty similar yeah they do the two possessions in college football and then and then they go to to something similar to this so now you're gonna see you if you're an offense you drop your best two -point play that you have you know your best play from the two -yard line and you're on defense you try to stop it it's that simple. Do they have specific plays a specific playbook for overtime something that maybe we haven't seen yet you will see a lot of plays that's that's your two pointer one point conversions that's what you'll see you from know this here those are some plays that contain some trickery and everything like that so you have to be you know on on cue for everything. Alright so here's first overtime play they're gonna throw it into that's good caught by Mason Stocky the Wisconsin product it's a simple pop pass to the to fullback. the Fullback acts like he's blocking turns around and hey hello football. that's So good for two points so Mauler's on top now 29 to 27. Remember you get three opportunities here this will be the Panthers first opportunity in overtime. It's a little bit of a soccer vibe like penalty picks. It definitely is. Stevie Scott's in game the Cole Hickatini's the up back. They're gonna give it

"A huge play I thought I was fooled on that I thought he was gonna do a throwback you know cuz the way he rolled out and that's good that's an EJ Perry's wheelhouse putting him on move the taking him off his spot and a great job of splitting the two because they had double high safeties there up and Marcus Sims just went and split the two safeties because it was middle of the field was open on that and great job of Perry for putting enough air under that ball dropped it in a bucket in stride 83 yards in this North Division championship game as the extra point is up and good 17 to 10 4 -11 here in the third quarter you know what they call that throw that's a chimney ball you know it's like Santa Claus is too fat to fit down the chimney so he just gets up top and drops the presence in there that was what was thrown on there I mean look this is a completely game different than it was before that field goal attempt to end the half yeah it definitely is because I think um you know the first half I think it scrapped first half that this game playing the the offense and we're more confident in this we can make plays you know we we felt them out it's like you talk about this Chris being a big fight a 12 -round fight yeah the panthers took some punches in that first half they regroup it's how well can you hang in there exactly they regrouped and they're showing now what what they can do but at the end of the day there's still a lot of football left to be playing they cannot have any letups all right look this is it win and you're in the championship game first time in a very very long time we won't know who the winner of this game plays until tomorrow night when new orleans and birmingham go at it tomorrow at seven o 'clock that's the south championship division game we've got a good one on our hands here it's going to be a one good tomorrow night too usfl scoreboard update brought to you by hungry howie's the original home of flavored crust crust pizza panthers up seventeen to ten four eleven to play here in the third cole murphy gets this one away joshua simmons feels it at the ten yard line at the twenty twenty five cuts it inside at the thirty and then cut down at the thirty five yard at twenty five all that they're called kick off you have to have some type of crazy in your in your head to be running down field like that and a j richardson went down just absolutely got got up blown uh... by the mallard uh... return guy there but you know that's this game it's it's a physical ball game and you have to keep your head on a swivel when you're running down field cain davis making a good out there so first in ten for troy williams and company from yard line two receivers right to left ball near hash mark williams from the shotgun takes the staff quick drop getting pressure to get that gold pitches the ball replanted is modulate one dinkai nakua in the crowd and williams has to learn sometimes you know he got away with that and you know chris my grandpa who would say the the same thing that make you laugh will make you cry he keeps trying to get out of sachs by flicking the ball out there and one of days these it's going to come back to bite them and uh right now is this this both these uh units the defense offense and are really playing off each other right now so they got to continue that momentum tackle for kai nakula today no gain on the play second at ten here's a give to madre running inside stopped at the 41 yard line a gain of fives korean ballard sean mahoney combined for the stop it's third down and it's just that you know you saw that big big game tackle going on onto madre london there and what that does when you see that offense swarming to the football and getting up jumping around as an offense you you start second guessing yourself a little bit so something you know this defense has to continue to play at that level if they want to impose will on their this smaller offense check that gain of six brings up third and four big third down takes just a quick drop going deep incomplete way wide over the head of the intended receiver is isaiah henney josh butler's coverage they're going to get them pass interference number twenty three defense fifteen yard penalty previous spot automatic first step look jay you i think we need to say in all fairness from our our vantage point that looked uncatchable i don't know what it looked like down on the field i mean that the ball is eight feet feet too high yeah but you know at the end of the day josh butler has to know you can't do that the balls it's going out you you can't see where it's going but you have to play a little unique alright clock twenty to play moderate London in the backfield they fake it to him Williams was able to escape the sack Matt Seibert calls that one in over Kai Nakua but can't get his feet down second down coming up yeah that one went right through the hands of Kai Nakua i thought he was going to come down with that and once again another great job by uh... by Williams escaping that uh... escaping that sack no Dawkins another guy that when been he out has there he has been impactful of that linebacker spot he absolutely has he's good you know good in coverage and good in the run stop second and ten here's a give to Madre London JU is getting physical down there it's getting really physical because both these teams know if you lose tonight your is season done and so you know this third down coming up here you know for Pittsburgh you don't have to pick everything because up it's getting to that point where you know hey you can still go for it in you know this could be possibly four down territory I know we're still in the third quarter because you know the 1 -4 with two fourth downs so you don't have to pick everything up at once here third and seven from the Michigan 41 Troy Williams goes empty set heavy on the right side of the line takes the snap throws across the middle they got Ish Hyman making the catch enough for down a first inside the 30 it's a gain of eight you tell me this game doesn't something mean to Ish Hyman you know playing in this game for an opportunity to play in the USFL Championship against the team that he started on and they released him this means something to him so they'll spot it at 30 the 27 two receivers right two left here's a quick throw Joshua Simmons makes the catch inside the 25 five -yard line Warren Saba making the stop a gain of four you you got a little jawn back and forth between Taylor and Ish Hyman you you know it's if this is this is a game that zeros on the third quarter on the scoreboard needs we got 15 minutes left in this one Panthers up 17 to 10 fourth quarter action coming up next from the Tom Benson "They liked him last year. I think this was kind of their plan B if Mac Jones didn't pan out, Davis mills. I think he's more athletic than Davis mills. He can move around a little bit. Maybe, but they both have similar level of arm talent. They both have really good arms. They both had injuries, but there are also flashes on the tape of really good tape when they were healthy and when they were going right in college. So I kind of see a little from what I had heard Davis mills was kind of their plan B quarterback, right? It Mac didn't fall to them. I just think cars are as strong as a little more gunslinger in them. Yeah. I think I could see really got that grip it and rip it kind of style. So yeah. Interesting developmental quarterback candidate. I hate watching him in the preseason. So that's quarterbacks. And I know people are going to assume hell was supposed to be first round pick. I'm good on the same house. I'm fine on the same house. And then later on, there's Caleb Ella B there's EJ Perry. I kind of like EJ Perry for them, honestly, if they're going if they're going to go later. Later, like 6 or 7 rounds. Yeah. The reason why I like EJ Perry is because I feel like he has that ability to mimic a lot of the quarterbacks that they're going to face on scout team. I'm not talking about him as a backup quarterback obviously. He's off the charts and he's actually got that size and look, I remember being in that locker room after the Patriots won the Super Bowl against the rams in 2018, 2019. And how many of those guys on defense credited Brian Hoyer with getting them ready to face mcvay's offense in the face Jared Goff. That was like the number one thing that came out of a lot of those guys mouth. So the scout team quarterback thing is not a complete nothing, right? It's not a complete nothing. And I do think that there's an element to it with EJ Perry that he's got similar size and similar athleticism to a guy like Josh Allen. He's obviously not Josh Allen. But he's the closest thing that you're gonna get on terms of scout team quarterbacks to somebody like Josh Allen. So I think that that's an interesting one too, if they want to take that view of, okay, he's going to be a long-term backup slash he's going to be an athletic guy that we can put on scout team to mimic some of these athletic cubies we're going to face. Yeah, no. So I was more so focusing on that trend that they generally take their backup quarterbacks high. But yeah, if they go later, EJ Perry. The punters. The punch. Matter is should be off the board by one 21. Yes. I mean, we've talked about this in the last couple of days. I think they're going to have Jordan stout.

"So I'm coming around to the idea that they might draft the punter, but we already went Penn State once in this box. So I don't think we can do it twice. And I think we took Jordan stout last week, didn't we? I don't think so we took EJ Perry. We took a call. Stout that's so them to not taste like you're right. They're gonna like stout better as much as I hate to admit it. Yeah, so I love Tyler Beatty. I think that that's a great pick and one thing that they do really like and we've already taken two guys at the top and even if you want to talk about Zion McCollum in terms of college production at that level, they love guys that produce in college. Like they love big time producers like that. They always cite that. Whenever they draft somebody that had great stats in college, they always talk about it. That 1900 yards and 18 touchdowns from Tyler Beatty last year is a monster number. That's a productive back. I love Tyler Beatty. I'm all for trading up to try to grab Tyler Beatty here. All right, so I wanted the last pick in the fourth round because they hate picking in the 5th round, so just pretend I stopped it in time, but it's fine. So we're gonna get how do they have that? That's not Gilmore. How do they have that 7th round pick? Oh, 'cause they got that from the Patriots sent that to Miami for I say a Ford and then Carolina trades some guard to Miami and that's how they got it. So let's make this trade. Yeah. People in the chat are bringing up an interesting point Alex we could try to trade Nikhil Harry for a pick. So let's get to like two 21 'cause we're not getting a top 200 pick farm. No. So let's get to two ten and see what the board looks like. But I was thinking that. But we agree Tyler Beatty here. It's a little high, but I think he's the kind of guy that would take high. And all of that. I don't think you dial our babies just a passing downs back either. Like I think he can do it all..

"Let's finish up here with quarterback, okay? Kevin, you ready for this exercise? You ready for this? All right. I want a smart kid quick, quick decision maker. I want a quick release, decent enough arm. And I think I'm good with that. Who you got as a potential patriots quarterback prospect? So if we're going on your metrics, I would say Bailey zapp from western Kentucky. Good accuracy, quick release, better arm than I expected at the senior bowl. He's 6 feet two 15. So I'm not drafted. I want to so I think the guy that the Patriots look for anybody and he might be there as a priority free agent. And this might just be the local guy that sticks with other local guys type thing. But that is EJ Perry. He's a kid from Andover. He was globe high school player of the year and set some records in Massachusetts. He went to BC and then I wasn't playing, so he transferred to Brown. I think his uncle's head coach over at Brown. But the thing that hurt EJ is, he played well in 2019, and then the Ivy League didn't play in 2020, right? And so, you know, he came back this year, had a good year, all ivy. He was MVP of the shrine bowl. He's a natural leader. That's the word on him. You know, it plays with good awareness. But with anything that you'd find in day three, I'm strength not great accuracy, not great. Mechanics need work, et cetera. He had Greg, this is going to make you say, ah, but he had 27 INT over the last two years that he played. So that's Ivy League? The Ivy League, right? But I think that ideally, you know, you get them in the camp in bed on his competitiveness and bet on some of his trades. He also ran a four 6 5 and he so there could be an element like Hasselbeck back in the day when he was running special teams for BC before he became the quarterback for them. Where he could try to do other things to make an NFL lost. I wouldn't necessarily put him like the kid from the saints, but you know,.

"So yeah, I don't know that he ever plays a down for them in the NFL and you don't always love that when you're making a draft pick, but I think he's somebody who could ultimately make the team better. It's in a bit of a roundabout way. But just because we don't see the work being put in, doesn't mean the player's not putting in the work. It doesn't mean the player's not contributing. So behind the scenes pick, but we know enough. We know by now, well enough, how much they value those kind of guys. So whether it's EJ Perry, I can see Jordan stout there, a punt or something like that, but yeah, EJ Perry, they're going to draft him the casual fans aren't going to understand it. They're going to bitch about it. It makes a ton of sense and it's especially at one 53. I think I was like the 8th to last pick. Two 53, where I say 8 53, two 53. Yeah, so I think the biggest thing with DJ Perry, too, and I know this is nothing to do with his football ability necessarily. I just think that Robert Kraft in particular would love having an Ivy League guy on the team. It just is something that that kind of brain and the intelligence that it brings to it. Especially for a backup quarterback, somebody that's going to be really in there just for the mental side of it more or less like Brian Hoyer. I can't remember who it was, but they had somebody else that was an Ivy League guy. They always love to point out that he was an ivy leaguer. Who was that? Yeah. I want to look it up. Keep going. Yeah. So I don't know. It's just a little thing. It's obviously nothing to do with football, but I just think it's interesting. So yeah, there you have it. Oh, that's right. Brandon Copeland. Yeah, Brandon Copeland was like a really smart dude. Yeah, it was a pen, I think. Yeah, where did James Devlin go to school?.

"We do take EJ Perry here though. Okay. I think that's well, let's see who else is here, kenzie. Is not he's getting drafted. There's no way he's not going to grant it. Yeah, so keep an eye out for those guys. Slade Bolden, I think is a lock to be invited to camp. But counter Hayward, if he doesn't get drafted, would be interesting. I think he's going to get drafted though. Probably right here someplace in the 70s. So taking Connor Hayward here wouldn't be bad. And if you think that if you're like really high on LED or if you're really high on Perry and you think that those guys are going to get a UDF phase, then I think Connor Hayward has a role. That's maybe a little bit bigger on the team, right? Like I think that he could play this year and contribute as a fullback. I think the other thing is if it gets to this point, Connor Hayward, you have a better shot of let's say they both made it to the UDF a point, right? You have a better shot of signing EJ Perry as you DFA than you do, Connor Hayward. If that makes sense. Yeah. It does. We did Carter Hayward once before though. We did. Tyler rebel, obviously he was here. I don't think we did. I don't think we did Hayward yet. I don't think we've taken him yet. I thought we took him in the 7th round in another mop and did. Now, because last week was the first week we had a 7th round pick. Oh, I thought we took him. I don't know. I like the quarterback here. I like EJ Perry. I'm just saying, let's just make sure we didn't miss anybody. You look at their history of guys like Zach Robinson and guys and the later on day three as backup quarterback developmental guys. I think that those are those are interesting. EJ Perry do, like you said, scout team potential there. We took to his cousin last week. Yeah, he did. And there's no interesting linebackers. Is that Ross guy for Michigan? So Perry or stout, you want Perry? Let's go, Perry. All right, EJ Perry. Annie's an ivy leaguer. I think they like the brains. Yeah, especially for that scout team role. Learn a new playbook every week. Yeah. All right, so that's where we.

"Well, so is there anything we want to address? We have an address. And I know people say the Patriots don't draft or need the report from Mike Reese this year is that's kind of going to be the plan. Yeah, the only other thing that I could maybe entertain. I don't know what's even available at two 58 in the lineback wide receiver department. I don't know if you would consider doubling up there as well just because it is still really have anybody under contract after next year. EJ Perry. Let's go through all the positions. Let's have some fun with this. Okay. I mean, right now, but two 58, Derrick king here is not, I mean, I think he's a UDF a but they met with him. They met with them. So Derek is one of the most fascinating players in college football. I know he's going to win the Heisman list. Yeah. He was the 8th string quarterback in high school who became the top quarterback recruit in the state of Texas. Went to Houston. He was behind, who was it, Greg ward, who was now wide receive for the eagles, was a great quarterback in college. Played wide receiver king did, played two years at wide receiver was pretty good moved to quarterback, had a record setting season got hurt, transferred to Miami. He had another great season, got hurt again. Here we are. He's going to be 26 when the season starts. They met with him. As a practice squad guy for the scout team, he makes a lot of sense. As a potential wide receiver, he makes a lot of sense. Like you said, I think he goes on drafted. I think the fact they met with him. Maybe they can get him in the building. Maybe they already know they can grab him if he doesn't get drafted. Yeah, I mean, I hate well, they did this 7th round, Julian Edelman, right, all over again. That's what's going to happen if they take Derek king years. I think he's Julian Edelman. But it does make sense in that mold, right? It doesn't make sense in that thought process. We don't know where you're going to play necessarily, but we know you're a football player and we'll see what we can do with you. The only other position that I don't think that we've addressed here that we could have potentially addressed was safety. But I don't say it. Let's go through all the positions and rapid fire that we did miss Caleb elbie. Caleb is like the Mac version of Mac Jones. They're going to move on for them. Right. Yeah. All right. Wide receiver. Devin, you know my deal on Devin Hopkins. Fastest player in the draft, but he's 5, 6, a 150 pounds. No. No need. Nobody else. There's some undrafted guys that are interesting. They're not even on the simulator. Tight end. I mean, Connor Hayward's an interesting pick here. We did this last time, didn't we? I think so. Okay. So we'll move on then. We could take a running back. We could take a pass catching back, trust in Abner, my guy, still here. I think at this point you could probably get him as a EDF a, right? Probably get him as UDF. And Michigan guy. Yeah. And low at this point, too. Really liked the dairy and low. Yeah, Darren Rosenthal is still on the board here as well. I think he's going to be long gone by now. But there are some interesting tackles..
