Whatever that is by his. Yeah he wants to. It's like like anyone else who would hear about that. And have the interest would be like. I need to know what happened. Yeah he's somebody who could actually who has the skills in the availability or the you know means to get it done. So originally the blood on the glove and tissue found. Near bobby's belongings. Were thought to be her blood but in the nineties. The blood is tested and results. Show that that blood actually belongs to a man. So that male dna is tested against jeffs the husband of bobby it's not his dna while And so as a result of this and other evidence including several alibi witnesses. He's eventually cleared as a suspect. So the fact that his wife dot gets killed on one day and another woman gets killed on the same day and happens to have his fucking business card in her. Wallet is is just a coincidence. Literally and truly. Just how fucking bananas is that. Yeah that's horrifying. Yeah and and you imagine like so many years everyone in town thinks she fucking it will. Also it's that thing of that in those cases it's one thing like that that it even if it's not enough evidence drag prosecute it just is enough evidence to change everyone's mind about you. How totally totally and it would be hard to explain that. We're just like yeah. It's not out of this realme possibility that everyone would think he's guilty. It totally makes sense. Yeah so unfortunately. The male dna is not in the criminal database so the case goes cold again in the ninety s. Police look into several different suspects. In the case was a cabdriver named thomas edward luther who in february nineteen ninety-two in breckenridge had picked up a hitchhiker and had raped and assaulted her. "Alex. When i think about energy and wildfire there's two big issues surrounding it in the west. In recent years the first is how faulty power lines keep sparking those infernos that destroy so much and even kill people sure power lines have been responsible for some of our biggest and most destructive fires like the campfire that destroyed the town of paradise in two thousand eighteen authorities report. More remains were found tuesday in the grim search of scorched earth from the campfire the deadliest wildfire in california history. The list of unaccounted for has dropped to about seven hundred. But that number fluctuates as some people are located and others are reported missing single residents damaged two hundred sixteen destroyed nine thousand seven hundred multiple residents damaged sixteen destroyed one hundred and forty four pacific asking electric company utility that supplies power to much of northern california actually pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with those deaths and pg and e. power lines might have also started this year's dixie fire which is the second largest in california history. Gosh pge pleading to manslaughter. That is huge and then that relates to the other energy related issue which is when these electric companies know that their lines and power stations can spark wildfires. they just turn.

"Of china as dr. Suzanne digs white. A professor at northern illinois university explains gift giving can often have ulterior motives in controlling relationships. This is particularly true with narcissists. She writes narcissists give gifts with an eye to maintaining a relationship with the giver and to maintaining control in that relationship the necklaces john gifted to his evergreens were a tool of control masked as a message of devotion this piece of jewelry made his bride's feel appreciated while ultimately serving to label them as his property the vaginal symbolism the large rhinestone encrusted j. Every element of the gift was meant to emphasize jones. Sexual power over the women in his group and it worked since john couldn't travel to places like australia. He couldn't perform the so-called purification ritual but from prison. He could make sure that thousands of women belt beholden to him in other ways. The necklace was part of it but so too was the expectation that has brides would write him letters and sent him photographs. Jiang reciprocated this long distance intimacy. According to a former member named liz. John wrote to her. That her white skin arouses him. He also use letters to do his part to continue manipulating women to remain in the group another former member. Sarah shared a letter from john in which he writes. I know that it's hard but go to church. Don't let your parents know about it though. His replies were often encouraging but vague as if he wrote them quickly and in batches. It isn't clear if chung ever actually read any the letter sent to him but every note allow junk to reassert. Its control over the women in his group. It was just another form of collection. The letters were proof of the many women he controlled through these physical objects soon. Even those efforts weren't enough. John looked at the many photographs of his bride's but it wasn't the same as seeing them in the flesh so he began asking his bride's to visit him in prison. That's how in two thousand twelve. Liz and a dozen other women ended up flying eleven hours from australia to south korea and taking an hour. Long train ride. Today's in prison. It's easy to imagine that for liz and the others. This trip could felt like meeting a celebrity or god himself. There's no indication that young made any comment about the effort. It took for these women. Many of whom lived in australia to come to see him in jail in his mind. This trip was worthy of the level of devotion he demanded of his bride's even after all of this junk hardly made any effort to spend time with visitors. He briefly chatted blew them kisses and left for almost anyone. That would be a disappointment here. It's easy to see the intense level of power and manipulation that ran through providence. John continued exerting control over his growing number of female followers. They in turn were manipulated into believing that no sacrifice was too great for their savior. The system worked perfectly providence. Continue to thrive in the two thousand. Ten's australia remained a massive hub providence. As how post showed steady membership in multiple cities and even in south korea the group allegedly had over one hundred thousand members though. It's difficult to validate that number. The only source of membership information comes directly from providence's website throughout the decade. John continued operating his group from behind bars. There isn't much information about his successor jong joon or how. He helped maintain the movement as it's new face but we do know that he also had a particular fondness for young beautiful women. One eyewitness report described attending a providence event. Where jong joon was surrounded by an entourage of women that looked like they had just stepped out of a magazine. Despite what appeared to be continued success this period was marked with continue disillusionment by some female members. And in the two thousand. Ten's some more women did leave the group. This was largely due to parents who were shocked to see that their daughters were following the message of convicted rapist. Both liz and sarah for example were encouraged to leave by their families. Parents staged interventions with their daughters in an attempt to show them the dangerous nature of providence. Sometimes this method worked but most parents weren't successful for every story like lizard. Sarah's there were other less hopeful tales of parents being unable to convince their daughters to leave the movement. One man named gary weygman told. Abc's australian new service that he found out about his daughter's involvement with providence through a news broadcast about the group while it home a friend called him and told him in an urgent voice. Turn on the tv show talked about jiang's many female members and how they were expected to serve as spiritual brides to him in one segment and image lingered on the screen of a group of women with their faces blurred out. Mr wegmann immediately recognized his daughter camilla by her jacket. He had bought it for her. Mr wegmann explained that he and camilla's still smoke but she was still a part of the group. Any mention of her life after joining providence was met with silence. She wouldn't talk about it. This story appeared to be similar to many others. Mr wegmann described his daughter camilla as smart. Funny someone who he couldn't imagine belonging to a group like this but all the same there. She was smiling with a group of women who had declared themselves brides to providence's enigmatic leader. Mr wegmann story was published in two thousand seventeen. A year before young was set to be released from prison leading up to that moment former members like liz wondered about the fate of providence. And its enduring. Power as liz said to the australian news program the feed in two thousand and fourteen. I don't really know what he thinks will happen when he comes out of prison. But i know he will have a very big following of beautiful women on february eighteenth. Two thousand eighteen authorities officially released seventy-three-year-old jiangyong young salk from day. John prison despite a large group of reporters waiting outside the prison. There appears to be only a single photo of junk from that day. He made no effort to speak to anyone. A group of helpers quickly led him through the throng into a sedan. Joan got in. Close the door and left and strangely. That's the last we've heard of john. Young sook reports from the day of his release say that authorities fitted him with an ankle monitor. Which would suggest that he was being put on house arrest but after that moment jong.

"Must believe that he is and that he is a reward of those who diligently seek him in romans. One paul argues that the very existence of all these things leads people to conclude. There is someone who created it and they begin looking and if they're not satisfied if they're not settling for the nonsense world gives them all the myriad of options that this world has because they don't honestly make any sense if they're truly seeking. What is the bible. Tell us if you want to follow him. You have to believe not only got is good job you're on level deems at this point but that he is a reward of those who diligently seek him is god able like he does with ethiopian eunuch to send somebody to make sure that people end up in the right place at the right time. This is what we call providence. And i believe in providence. I believe that god is still capable of working miracles that he doesn't use the advocacy here. The agency of man in the sense that he did before like with the apostles. But that doesn't mean that god is not capable of picking up and depositing them where they need to be. I'm not certainly saying that. He does that because he doesn't need to do that. But we have an obligation and opportunity. We have opportunities in all aspects of our life to share the gospel with people to be evangelist. Share this that others might believe and we have a responsibility to carry the gospel outside. And that's what jesus is getting at matthew. Chapter twenty eight in verse. Eighteen starts all authorities have been given to be in heaven and on the earth. You know something's coming. When paul starts with our charge you before god and the lord jesus christ will judge the living in the dead at his appearing his kingdom. You know someone's coming and he tells them preach the word here. In matthew twenty eight verse eighteen authorities been given to me in heaven. And on the earth go therefore and make disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the father and son and of the holy spirit. What is jesus say. Is the the necessary level of faith if we give it a score. I don't know what is the point at which a person needs to be before they should be baptized. How much knowledge do they need. What does he say they're disciple is make disciples. What's the disciple someone who desires to follow. Christ that's what we need and that's what we need to get them to if they want to follow jesus and they understand the costs then they're ready and that's a far cry from sometimes where we fall. How do we determine if they know enough. Is there a test do. Do we need to make up a sheet. This is what needs to happen or can we trust that people are going to have to make decisions for themselves in this life and suffer the consequences if they don't do it right but that they will be rewarded if they do. We have this opportunity. And so the baselining gives is that they know the lord right that they know he is and he is order of those who diligently seek him. Those who desire to follow. Jesus in luke fourteen. These are individuals that need to be able to count the cost luke. Fourteen twenty five twenty eight. It's not up there so if you want to write it in your welcome to luke. Fourteen twenty five through twenty eight. Jesus comes before all else he says. If you don't love me before father mother brother sister then you're not ready to be my disciple if i am not i. You're not ready to be my disciple. There's baseline whoever does not bear his cross. He says and come after me cannot be my disciple and even to the degree that sometimes when people were going to follow him. Jesus challenged them. He said foxes have holes in birds of the air have nests but the son of man has nowhere to lay his head. We take out of context and not not with poor intent but if we keep it in context he's talking to a person who has just said. Hey jesus i'm gonna follow you and he said it's not as easy as you think this isn't luxury condos. We're not talking about five star hotels we're talking about. I have a purpose. And i have a goal and i'm going to pursue that goal and that agenda at every course in every junction at every fork in the road. I'm going to pursue it even if it doesn't lead to my happiness even if it doesn't lead to my inevitable joy in this life i'm going to learn how to take pleasure in doing the will of god. I'm going to do it. I if you're there and you're ready getting they're getting there. That's the hard part but that's where we need to be. And sometimes we rush people into baptism. We rush people into doing things that they're not ready for. They're not ready to put on christ because they're not ready to do the things that got us calling them to do on the baseline they're not ready to do the things the core function of a christian. Then they're not ready and it goes back to an illustration have used a number of times. A friend of mine wanted to be baptized and i was leading ecstatic. I was so happy because we've been working on for a year to year and just studying with him and he was fun to have around. He was a good friend. But i worried about his soul and he wanted to be baptized and then he asked me a question. He asked me if he needed to stop smoking. If i become a christian to after stop smoking. And i simply said if jesus wanted you to quit smoking would you. And he said yeah. He said i'd give my whole life to it. And i said then you're ready if that's your hang up if that's the thing that you're struggling with most right now and you're willing to give it to the lord and you ready and what people do from there. I can help them. I can assist them. And so can you. But we can't make those decisions for them. Believing is a personal thing. It is something that they must do on their own and what we need to recognize here kind of. It's not even a third point. It's kind of like the end of point number to hear what comes later. What comes later that is to say what does a person not need to know in order to be saved which is a bigger question than what a person needs to know in order to be saved. There's a lot in the bible. And as far as i can tell there's no test at the end. The test is whether your name is written in the lamb's book of life we get to revelation twenty and the books are open of the activities of your life. That's not going to be pleasant to go through. But we as ones who confess that we have sin except that sin and the resolution in christ we know that even though those books are gonna be harsh. What matters is whether or name is written in the lamb's book of life. That's all that matters. That is the test. And as far as i can tell. There's no written exam at the end of the difference between the elijah and elisha. And god's certainly not going to say it in a funny way to so you can't tell which one he's talking about. There's not going to be some random bible knowledge. The knowledge that you need is going to be gained overtime the knowledge that you require in order to do the will of god and to live the life in christ is going to be gained over time but it comes from a desire to serve the lord. And that's where we have to start. That's where we always ever have to start but it's not complete knowledge. You look at the end of matthew chapter twenty eight in verse twenty if you notice with me now twenty eight. He says all authority has been given to me in heaven. It on the earth go.
