"eight years later" Discussed on WCBM 680 AM

"By calling 1 805 118 42 again 1 805 118 42, Doc, this study you sent me on this omega threes and the memory is amazing. It seems that the participants taking Omega threes had some pretty incredible benefits here When you talk about memory, that is something that kind of slips as we get older. Tell us more about this, would you? Right. This was a great study and important study because what they did. He was very interesting. This had the journal Neurology and check the Omega three level in the red blood cells of women 1000 women, older women, So this is a big study of 1000 women. But then again eight years later, and the women were on average 78 years old at this point They did MRI scans of the women's brains and what they found. Steve, This is so amazing. They found that the brain volume for the women that had higher Omega three index is, in other words, they had more omega threes in their red blood cells. The women that had more omega threes and their red blood cells. They had higher brain volume. They were actually maintaining more. Of the youthful size of the brain. Their brains were bigger. You could see it plainly in the MRI measurements. That's really cool, but not only that is a very important part of the brain notice the hippocampus very important part of the brain that facilitates learning facilitates memory, and there was greater brain volume in the hippocampus for people that had more omega threes in their red blood cells. That's how you can really measure how much and make it three someone's taking in. So if you take omega three She will raise your Omega three index. We know this. It's a fact you take Omega threes you raise it up to you want to have More omega threes in your bloodstream. Very important. That's how it infuses into all the cell membranes into the joints into the brain, etcetera. So take the krill Omega 50. Plus you get the krill oil 67% more quill oil so fantastic for the joints. You get the high omega three fish oil, vitamin D in there as well as the xanthan for extra antioxidant power and protect that brain. Protect your memory facilitated quick. That youthful thinking That's so fun to have when you when you feel sharp. When you feel like your brain is working Great. You have that brain energy. It's more fun. It's more fun to be in a conversation. You feel better. You weekend a bit. You have that energy. You feel mentally alert. You feel alive. That's the way I want to feel. That's the way young people feel. That's why we put this in this krill Omega 50. Plus, we want people to feel younger. We want people to maintain their youthful vigor and attitude. And that's what this cruel Omega 50 Plus is all about. All right. I got to tell you, Dr Levin, I take the krill Omega 50 Plus and one of the things that I absolutely love about the pills that it's so small. I mean, it's so easy to take and so much better than trying to swallow one of those Omega three horse pills. You know the bigger ones. Anyone can take these with ease, and that's what's great about it. Tell us how did you supercharge this formula, while the same time shrinking the capsule size? How do you do that? Right? It's so amazing. This is really a breakthrough, Stephen. I mean, for those of you that are picturing this huge will make it three pill. It's not like that. These are tiny They're so small. Anybody can swallow these. My son Corey has trouble swallowing pills. He gets these down like they're nothing. They're much smaller. They're easy to swallow. And now with our lemon lock flavor system, which I didn't even talk about before you open the bottle up, Steve. It smells like lemons. We lock in the freshness again extra antioxidant protection. Extra krill oil high omega three fish oil, super charged in the amount of omega threes in their vitamin D, and what of value here Easy to swallow super fresh, great value again. My patients. If they were getting this stuff before they saw me they could be spending 75 $80 to get this combination so incredible value. And here's what I want you to do. Pick up the phone pretty quick, because believe it or not, 1000 sounds like a lot, but it's not Steve on bigger radio stations. They move fast, right right soon. Get your free bottle of krill, Omega 50. Plus, everybody's getting that. Don't worry. You're definitely going to get that. But if you wanted the 1st 1000 callers, then you get the free B 12 energy melts. You know, we need to talk about that one more time. But I wanted to get there too. And I demanded this. Because this is chronic 50. Plus, we want this but the folks Hey, if you're in your forties, and you feel run down, it's great for you to But 50 60 seventies folks in that age bracket. They're not absorbing the B 12 as well because they're losing some of the intrinsic factors in the GI tract that responsible for absorbing to be 12. "The machines that make our civilization run and the people whose ingenuity created them. I'm 10 years old questioning my father about what's possible and what's not. How about flying faster than sound? I ask Oh, I think that will happen someday, he replies. Indeed. It did. Just eight years later. How about a rocket ship to the moon? I wonder I think so. He answers but not in our lifetimes yet. We got there 29 years later with both of us Still quite alive, But this is 1940 I press on. Fly faster than light. He looks at the ceiling speculatively. I don't know. I don't think so. Time for the $64 question. How about a time machine? Will we ever traveled in time machines? This time, he shakes his head and says, No, I believe that really is impossible. My father, a newspaper writer, knew the change was afoot in 1925. Long before anyone had split the atom. He'd done a newspaper editorial on the future of power from nuclear fission. But time travel lay outside, even his speculations. And for me, it remains right up there with tooth fairies, world peace and safe cigarettes. Still, I'm a sucker for a good time Travel yard. Those stories first took the form of HG wells time machine vehicles. We could ride back and forth along time single track. Later, people became increasingly aware of paradoxes that might occur if we went back and messed with the past 12 years after the conversation with my father, Ray Bradbury played that theme with chilling force in his short story, a sound of thunder Unit tourists visit the past one accidentally crush is a butterfly, then returns to a horribly altered present. My wife and I read and enjoyed a new variation in the book, The Time Traveler's wife. Forget science fiction. Now Time travel is a literary device. A woman's life follows linear time The man's life pops up out of sequence in random segments of hers. The story is more about information flow than time travel tracing. Who knows what and when makes a tantalizing jigsaw puzzle. Our latest foray the movie, The Lake House, plays another leitmotif on time travel. What travels now is pure information. The instrument isn't a machine but a magical mailbox through which letters pass across a two year gap. Critics who view the movie is science fiction, hated those who see it as a parable about opportunities, missed and claimed, like it all that maybe that's why I like time travel stories. They remind me that I live either in a deterministic universe with only one timeline or I can choose opportunities if I could go back in time with freedom of choice, you and I would never know that sells choices would return him to a different present. Not to our present. His writers of time travel stories recognize that fact they contrive new and more interesting stories, ones that recognize how choice creates a lack of symmetry between past and present. After all, future travel. That's something we all do all the time..

"518 42 again. That's 1 805 118 42. Now Don. I've seen these ads where they say that cruel oil is 48 times stronger than fish oil. Is that true? Does that make any sense? Well, you know, obviously he's the cruel guys talking right? Right, right. But you could look at both ways. Let's get into krill in just a moment. But first, let's add the fish oil guys on the shoulder because you know you could say that the fish oil is better and stronger. But we're talking about the concentrated high omega three fish oil here because It's higher and you'll make it three is the EPA and D H A. That are so important for the heart, the brain the memory mood, your eyes, your skin, your hair, your nails. So in one sense, you could say, well, the fish oils better. But in another sense, I have to hand it to the cruel guys because in terms of antioxidant power krill oil is extraordinary. And it's because there's a molecule and cruel oil that's naturally occurring. Called asked as handsome and this asked his anthem, Steve, This is one of the most powerful antioxidants we've ever discovered Steve by one. Measure of antioxidant activity at 6000 times stronger than vitamin C So amazing that the accident power in the krill and now as we're getting older 50 plus others like myself. I'm 52 we don't make as many antioxidants naturally are antioxidant systems are kind of slowing down. And at the same time we're producing more free radicals. Naturally, this is why we call it cruel. Omega 50, plus extra antioxidant power an extra krill Remember 500 mg of cruel instead of 300. 67% more plus the vitamin D so important for us, and this is just incredible value. I have folks that were going out and they were getting the krill separately and the fish oil separately. The anti option you can spend 75 bucks doing that You're getting it all for free. Today. This is the best of both worlds. This combination product with the cruel and official. It's not one being better than the other. They're both great. And this is the best of both worlds, You know, Thank God for purity products. I'm serious seriously, because when you think about where our food supply is gone, and where we are today, we have to have something that allows us to feel better as we age to age gracefully. It's amazing to me is which, and that's why I love the way the purity gives away the free bottles because you know people can be skeptical. Could be skeptical. But now they can be skeptical. And they say, Okay, you know what? This sounds pretty important. I'm going to give this a go. It's only gonna cost me 6 95. And they get it and they try it out and what they start to see because it doesn't take long. Remember that joint studies seven days 28% more comfortable, but they start to seize. Hey, I'm more comfortable. I feel better. They noticed their energy is better than they realized. Hey, you know what? This is important and they tell their friends and they tell their relatives and they tell their loved ones and purity has been doing business this way for I don't know, 20 years now and you know this is a great testimonial by Gracie five Out of five stars, she writes. It works. I feel a difference in my joints after only one week. Also, you have the nice Just staff. That's what that's what great spirits you have the nicest staff people will appreciate working with purity. They're fantastic company. They put their money where their mouth is. They give out free bottles and you try and you're like, Wow, This is great stuff. Thank God for purity. Let's talk about the heart health for a moment. It's probably the single greatest concern that people face as they age. So anything that we can do to boost heart health becomes really a top priority. You know this? I know this and those folks out there know this as well. And I know you mentioned earlier that omega threes literally lower our risk of coronary heart disease. Do I? Have that correct. That's a big statement, You know? Absolutely. I mean protecting the heart. This is what put Omega threes on the map. Back in the seventies, Dr Dyrberg discovered you know how protective they were for the Eskimos. The bottom line is we'll make it through to protect our heart in so many ways they promote a smooth rhythmical heartbeat important for the body's normal inflammatory response in the heart muscle inside the arteries and veins. They promote those youthful, flexible arteries. So important for circulation. They promote healthy blood platelet activity. Healthy red blood cell. Cell activity. They support a healthy blood pressure. That's very important Triglycerides. So they do so much for the heart. So simply amazing cardiovascular protection with these Omega threes, Doc, this study you sent me on this omega threes, and the memory is amazing. It seems that the participants taking Omega threes had some pretty incredible benefits here. When you talk about memory, that is something that kind of slips as we get older. Tell us more about this. Would you write? This was a great study because what they did. He was very interesting this out of the journal Neurology. And what they did is they deal making three level in the red blood cells of women 1000 women, older women, So this is a big study 1000 women. But then again eight years later, and the women were on average 78 years old At this point, they did MRI scans of the women's brains and what they found. Steve. This is so amazing. They found that the brain volume for the women that had more omega threes in their red blood cells, the women that had more omega threes in their red blood cells. They had higher brain. Volume. They were actually maintaining more of the youthful size of the brain. Their brains were bigger. You could see it plainly in the MRI measurements. That's really cool. But not only that is a very important part of the Marine noticed the hippocampus, very important part of the brain that facilitates learning facilitates memory, and there was greater brain volume in the hippocampus for people that had more omega threes in their red blood cells. That's how you can really measure how much making three someone's taking in. So if you take omega Race, You will raise your Omega three index. We know this. It's a fact you take Omega three as you read it. So you want to have more omega threes in your bloodstream? Very important. That's how it infuses into all the cell membranes into the joint into the brain, etcetera. So take the Kremlin maker 50. Plus you get the krill oil 67% more quill oil so fantastic for the joints. You get the high omega three fish oil. Vitamin D in there, as well as his anthem for extra antioxidant power and protect that brain..

"All kinds of things? And home. Fix it. Stuff at 40487207 50, but first on the home, fix it hotline joining us from Cooper piano as it work. Blake Cooper has joined us. Good morning, Blake Cooper. Hey, how you doing? I'm doing well and I've never talked this subject on the home fix it show before ever. But I was walking through my house and have a piano in my house. And I thought, you know how, but there's a lot of people have pianos. In their homes. And maybe we could just kind of touch on some piano stuff as we move along this morning. Well, Dave, you know, I'm I'm a little bit biased. I don't think houses at home without a piano with There you go. You know, I told you when I talk to you during the week. The piano is something almost Everybody takes a piano lesson or a year half a year And they all hate it back when there's 789 10 years old, But when you get to be 40 45, you're like God, I wish I'd had kept that up a little bit. It just seems to be one of those things that you kind of regret not doing later Form a perfect example. I started when I was four, and I didn't like it at all. And they made me do it, which was even worse. That's right. Yeah, I never really had an appreciation. Until you know I'd learned to play the guitar and I got in a band and, you know music. Yeah, I was cool at that point, which you know it wasn't cool to play the piano. When I was young. I want to play baseball and get in trouble. Exactly. I think thats everybody started and later in life, so Only just going to touch on some piano things here because pianos and houses are just good to have and a lot of people. I think I'm trying to put myself in other people's minds, but Pianos are really expensive, aren't they? Do they come in a wide variety of price ranges? Are they all 15 grand? Oh, well, you know, you can probably get a piano pretty much where any price A lot of people are trying to get him away because, you know, it's been in the house they bought or whatever. And and, uh, you know the thing that people don't realize about pianos, they're quite difficult Move. And you know, there could be a number of issues because there's 9000 parts in the piano. And, uh but no, we sell pianists pretty much all price ranges, and they're not all really heavy, either. They make pianist Now that you can plug headphones into and play it late at night, while somebody's watching T V, So it's it's It's really a lifestyle kind of thing. You know what I never even thought about the other kind of the electrical pianos and and think that I'm thinking, you know the uprights and the the grand pianos and things like that, But they do make them now that Our full 88 kids And you can you know you plug them in. And in fact, I see you at the home show a lot and almost every piano. I see it. The home show has some kind of electronics attached to it is that the way pianos are going now? Well, you know, when I was a kid going home shows really saw the latest greatest remember Step stairs. You know this chair going up the stairs and where they're trying to sell the latest and greatest and in pianos, and it's just the same as it is today. You know, we're there with The latest technology, whether it's a player piano that you can play with your cell phone, or, you know whether it's uh, you know, digital piano, which you know you can play with headphones interact with an iPad through Bluetooth. I mean, there's a world of Technology that's out there. That's usually what we take to the home show. Although we do have the elegant, you know, grand pianos it sit in your foyer and you know a nice and ceiling and you know things like that is a very elegant piece to have in your home. Okay, Just yes or no right here. I got to check in my pocket. I'll take a baby grand from you this afternoon for $4500. Well, we do have one. No, I was just hoping for the Yes, Well, Oh, yes. He's here with you when we get off there and give me the address. Yeah. Okay. You can you can see uh cooper piano, cooper piano dot com and you'll see that they buy they rent their service. They learn you can learn piano. From them. Move. Anything that has to do with the piano you can do at at Cooper Piano is if I have a piano and I live on the second floor, the third floor how in the world you guys get that piano up to me? Oh, let me tell you something. We have got men that have been with me for many, many years, and this is very specialized work. I've seen all sorts of problems. We get calls from all sorts of moving companies where they busted the piano. We've got to go and get it and fix it. It's very hard, you know, and you have to have a lot of equipment and experience. People understand the leverage in moving pianists because the human body really isn't designed to pick up a piano because you can't really get around and use your legs, things like that. And then obviously the stairs are constricted in terms of how much room you have so You know, That's what we sometimes we try and say, Hey, look, why don't you get a digital piano because it's easier to get up there. Okay. How long ago if I get a you guys do a lot of used piano sales. I believe. I mean, you'll you'll be getting from a school or you're getting back from a school and and you're getting like that. How long can I expect a piano to last in my house? Well, if you bought a piano new and and take care of it properly, it would last as long as a human being. Okay. What do you mean? Take care of it properly? How? What's the proper way to take care of it? You have to tune the piano a couple times a year. There's £40,000 of tension on the piano, so you need to keep it constant. It needs to be in a decent environment where the temperature, humidity or consistent Water is the worst enemy for a piano. You can't leave it in a basement in the bay window where the sons you know, beating down on it just won't be stable. But if you're comfortable the pianist comfortable And with, you know, a couple of services per year virtually last forever. All right, I'm speaking with Blake Cooper from Cooper Piano. Is there a shortage of pianos at the moment? Because there seems to be a shortage of everything else in the world due to the Covid. Is there a charge by wanted a new piano and, uh, could I get well in a week? That's a very important question. And we do have supply issues chips and you know, even cardboard, all sorts of problems. But we have suppliers many choices. We have plenty. Lots of inventory. I probably have 200 people pianist and I always can get instruments from quality manufacturers because Been buying for so many years and and we know how to prevent things because we've been through a number of pandemics. Actually, two of those and then recessions, wars and, you know, change is always been a big thing for of my company. All right, Let me ask you this. Then I got a piano. I want to upgrade my piano Say I've got you know, basically that there is such a thing as a basic beginner piano. I'm not talking about electric. Now I'm just talking about a piece of furniture basic. There's a basic beginner piano that Probably costs a grand. Maybe I'm just guessing here, but well, go ahead continues. We have used pianos from 1000. We got a new one on sale for about 3500. These are going to be upright Pianos in numerous finishes. Black polishes pick popular finished with Wood finishes and then uh, as a matter of fact, we have used Wurlitzer piano in here for 12, 88 and isil from brand when they came out, and the piano is marvelous. It's in a kind of a dated cabinet because back when I was a kid they were doing early, American naughty pine, you know. Things like that. And and today the You know the styles are much different. But, hey, it tunes up and plays and it would be perfect to start a six year old child to change their life through music. Yes, it would. Is there a resale value to a piano? If say, I get one for my six year old child, and it's eight years later, and I've kept pretty good care of it. But it's just not going to click..

"And composed Louie Louie rhythm and blues song. Eight years later, the king's men recorded it, and it became a standard of pop and rock music song is based on the tune. El Loco Touch Up popularized by Rene to say. And it's yet another example of Latin influence on American in on American music. But the most interesting thing about the song Louie Louie by the King's men Is that when they released it? Many of the lyrics are indecipherable. They sort of slur the words and there were some out there who were convinced If this was a plot to overthrow the nation, and so the FBI investigated it must be scandalously bad. Perverted pornographic. What kind of words were they use it. Are they speaking in tones if you played it backwards. So for two years did the FBI investigate and on this day 1965 They ended their investigation into the song. Determining that the largely indecipherable live lyrics are not obscene. Can you imagine? A bunch of guys in suits sitting around, but just stand Lewin. Okay? What? We got to go. Was that me? Well, what does that mean? What? Where's he going? Where is he going? See that's a communist.
