My time was was my my girlfriend now. Wife and i call her and i really had a tear. My is so excited about it. But i i was really into a lot of other brother programs. As well to be honest i ever was every program i interviewed on was fantastic. I had my heart set on gauge off. From the moment. I i applied or far far before that. But i i was looking at cleveland. Clinic mayo actually. Nato starting their program they just have some all star surgeons and just really great great humans. I was looking at the new york programs. The chicago programs basically all the all the big sports medicine programs all throughout the country. Hey, how you doing? I'm doing well and I've never talked this subject on the home fix it show before ever. But I was walking through my house and have a piano in my house. And I thought, you know how, but there's a lot of people have pianos. In their homes. And maybe we could just kind of touch on some piano stuff as we move along this morning. Well, Dave, you know, I'm I'm a little bit biased. I don't think houses at home without a piano with There you go. You know, I told you when I talk to you during the week. The piano is something almost Everybody takes a piano lesson or a year half a year And they all hate it back when there's 789 10 years old, But when you get to be 40 45, you're like God, I wish I'd had kept that up a little bit. It just seems to be one of those things that you kind of regret not doing later Form a perfect example. I started when I was four, and I didn't like it at all. And they made me do it, which was even worse. That's right. Yeah, I never really had an appreciation. Until you know I'd learned to play the guitar and I got in a band and, you know music. Yeah, I was cool at that point, which you know it wasn't cool to play the piano. When I was young. I want to play baseball and get in trouble. Exactly. I think thats everybody started and later in life, so Only just going to touch on some piano things here because pianos and houses are just good to have and a lot of people. Well, you know, when I was a kid going home shows really saw the latest greatest remember Step stairs. You know this chair going up the stairs and where they're trying to sell the latest and greatest and in pianos, and it's just the same as it is today. You know, we're there with The latest technology, whether it's a player piano that you can play with your cell phone, or, you know whether it's uh, you know, digital piano, which you know you can play with headphones interact with an iPad through Bluetooth. I mean, there's a world of Technology that's out there. That's usually what we take to the home show. Although we do have the elegant, you know, grand pianos it sit in your foyer and you know a nice and ceiling and you know things like that is a very elegant piece to have in your home. Okay, Just yes or no right here. I got to check in my pocket. I'll take a baby grand from you this afternoon for $4500. Well, we do have one. No, I was just hoping for the Yes, Well, Oh, yes. He's here with you when we get off there and give me the address. Yeah. Okay. You can you can see uh cooper piano, cooper piano dot com and you'll see that they buy they rent their service. They learn you can learn piano. From them. Move. Anything that has to do with the piano you can do at at Cooper Piano is if I have a piano and I live on the second floor, the third floor how in the world you guys get that piano up to me? We get calls from all sorts of moving companies where they busted the piano. We've got to go and get it and fix it. It's very hard, you know, and you have to have a lot of equipment and experience. People understand the leverage in moving pianists because the human body really isn't designed to pick up a piano because you can't really get around and use your legs, things like that. And then obviously the stairs are constricted in terms of how much room you have so You know, That's what we sometimes we try and say, Hey, look, why don't you get a digital piano because it's easier to get up there. Okay. How long ago if I get a you guys do a lot of used piano sales. I believe. I mean, you'll you'll be getting from a school or you're getting back from a school and and you're getting like that. How long can I expect a piano to last in my house? Well, if you bought a piano new and and take care of it properly, it would last as long as a human being. Okay. What do you mean? Take care of it properly? How? What's the proper way to take care of it? You have to tune the piano a couple times a year. There's £40,000 of tension on the piano, so you need to keep it constant. It needs to be in a decent environment where the temperature, humidity or consistent Water is the worst enemy for a piano. You can't leave it in a basement in the bay window where the sons you know, beating down on it just won't be stable. But if you're comfortable the pianist comfortable And with, you know, a couple of services per year virtually last forever. All right, I'm speaking with Blake Cooper from Cooper Piano. Is there a shortage of pianos at the moment? Because there seems to be a shortage of everything else in the world due to the Covid. I probably have 200 people pianist and I always can get instruments from quality manufacturers because Been buying for so many years and and we know how to prevent things because we've been through a number of pandemics. I want to upgrade my piano Say I've got you know, basically that there is such a thing as a basic beginner piano. I'm not talking about electric. Now I'm just talking about a piece of furniture basic. There's a basic beginner piano that Probably costs a grand. Maybe I'm just guessing here, but well, go ahead continues. We have used pianos from 1000. We got a new one on sale for about 3500. These are going to be upright Pianos in numerous finishes. Black polishes pick popular finished with Wood finishes and then uh, as a matter of fact, we have used Wurlitzer piano in here for 12, 88 and isil from brand when they came out, and the piano is marvelous. It's in a kind of a dated cabinet because back when I was a kid they were doing early, American naughty pine, you know. Things like that. And and today the You know the styles are much different. But, hey, it tunes up and plays and it would be perfect to start a six year old child to change their life through music. Yes, it would. Is there a resale value to a piano?
