"At Washington that would be our nation's capital. Lots going on in my brain right now, as you can probably tell Justin Herbert and the Chargers are in our nation's capital, taking on the Washington football team in Justin Herbert hit Mike Williams for three yards and that results in a touchdown. It is now 2016. Chargers go on top. This one has been back and forth. There's 10 minutes and some change to go in this game. The Washington football team does have the ball in case you missed it from earlier, Ryan Fitzpatrick left with a hip injury. We have nothing further to report other than he is out for the remainder of the game. Taylor Hi, Nicky has taken over and Taylor Hi Nikki 10 of 14 118 yards. And a passing touchdown. He also has two carries for eight yards on the ground, Nothing to write home about, but nonetheless keeping the Washington football team in this one Chargers just scored again. They are up right now. 22 16 in the fourth quarter, James Yeah, and to monitor beyond this game and the play of Taylor. Hi, Nikki, which has a lot to do with this and also the health. Obviously, Ryan Fitzpatrick, But what does that front office doing? Washington knowing their contender? No, it's a gettable NFC East. Even though it's gotten markedly better this season, you would expect They're gonna need a quarterback Cam Newton may not be the guy, but I'm telling you, Nick Foles out there in Chicago, buried in that quarterback room. We know what he does when he's not brought in to be the guy right away. But maybe the savior spot. It didn't go well in Chicago for him, then go on Jacksonville for him, but we remember what he did in Philly. Could he be an option there and could the Bears find value coming back? If they're able to get rid of the folds will be interesting to see what kind of chatter comes out of our nation's capital.

"TITANS Kyler Murray goes deep To Kirk for 26 yards and the touchdown and Arizona on top of Tennessee 31 to 13 10.5 minutes to go in the third quarter, man. Did you think the Cardinals we're going to cruise like this? They were good on both sides of the ball, Their defenses absolutely suffocating, Uh, the Tennessee Titans, and then offensively, I mean, they are putting up the numbers again. 31 to 13 right now. In the third quarter, Jay Kyler. Murray has been the best player so far and week one today and if not Kyler Murray, then it's been Chandler Jones on the defense. These two guys have been game records. Kyler Murray, We know about his ability to say, forget everything, scratch it and use his feet to escape. We know that side of it, but can he be the guy that makes the proper reads? Can he be decisive in the pocket? As a passer? We know he can throw the football. There's no question that he can be a passer, but it's his decision making there. Is in question is confidence. Here, Mr A lot of throws last last season. A lot of people are down on him. He'd been disrespected all week. This week. The young man is shining. Chandler Jones was used to being in Arizona uniform this year. Everybody thought they were going to move him disgruntled to a degree. Those two guys have been a studying force, and the Titans looked like they were going to turn this thing around with the interception. Get some points back. Start to get back in this game, but they got no no answer for Kyler Murray and Derrick Henry. Has anyone seen him? Anyone know where he is. Right now. He's got nine carries for eight yards. His longest carries seven yards. The leading Russia on the Tennessee Titans is Ryan Tannehill right now, who has 17 yards rushing and rushing touchdown. I mean, Derrick Henry needs to start putting something together if they want to figure out a way to make it competitive here as they get ready to head into the fourth quarter, there's still 10 minutes left in the third, but nonetheless, I mean, the Titans just do not look like they have got their stuff together at all. Again. The Cardinals on top 31 to 13 10 minutes to go in the third quarter. We just saw touchdown between Kyler Murray and Christian Kirk. And so that's what put them up 31 to 13 in the third quarter. I mean, what is going on? There were also going to get you an update from Atlanta as the Eagles just put up seven. I'll get you that here in just a minute end of the third quarter in Buffalo again, Bills lead the Steelers tend to six a little bit of a snooze fest. Um Hopefully, we can see some points now in the fourth quarter Bangle still on top as we head into the fourth quarter and Cincinnati to score their 21 to 14, Niners and the Lions are coming down the wire in the third quarter two minutes to go. Nine are still lead the Lions 38 to 17. Let's see what's going on right now between the Eagles were going to get to that here in just a second if I can find it on my screen. There we go. Eagles.

Ryan Tannehill Derrick Henry Christian Kirk Chandler Jones Jay Kyler 26 yards 17 yards Tennessee Titans eight yards seven yards 17 Cardinals Eagles Murray Titans 31 10 minutes 14 nine This week

"Let's make it easy for the first time starter. I mean, it's been pretty much the David Shaw playbook. I'll tell you what those tall receivers you know you don't have blazing speed, but they do get open and they work the sidelines well, and they catch the football. You know, I'll tell you, John Humphreys had a tough catch in traffic. Charlemagne, the drop in the bucket earlier in the game on the far sideline, Higgins picking the ball up off his shoestrings in the end zone on fourth and goal. They are catching the football and they are really helping out there. Young quarterback I'll tell you something else. I mean Drake London who had 12 receptions last week and again, He's a candidate to be a first team All American. He's going to have a huge number this year, but assuming he stays healthy Kyler Blue Kelly. He's he's healthy. He's helped London to just two catches the London and slowest misfired on that on that sort of In breaking route That could have been a touchdown on the drive prior to the one that Stanford had late in the second quarter to produce the touchdown, But only six targets. I mean, you know, it's been Kaew Island and USC is not really Tested that I think partly because because Kelly is shown in this game that he's on Greg London. Individual numbers for the cardinal told you about Tanner MKI, nine of 1151 yards, two touchdowns passer rating of 257.1 that'll that'll play. Rushing stats, obviously a bit skewed by the 87 yarder from Nathaniel P. He had two carries for 93 the touchdown. Austin Jones carries eight yards and the key three for six. However, I won't mention the Casey Filkins.

"Hanging on with Vincent Gray, driving him back after making the catch of eight yards. You've got to give it to Dylan Morris. He's got an army. You can throw some lasers. I mean, it's arm strength is not. The issue is that was a great fastball high in a way that only his man could catch the perfect location as it was really good coverage that time by Gray and little curl. Route seven left National 16 26 221 yards and a touchdown for Dylan, Morris, 1st and 10 Washington their own 32, I'll play action. Rolling, right, Morris looking looking flag down behind the play, Morris will run out of bounds into the Michigan bench is going to hold. You have to think it's in that neighborhood and this is coming back and obvious hole that's always a risk. When the quarterback breaks the pocket. You have to have disappointed and offensive line. You got to let go of the man you're blocking as soon as you try to holding. Offense number 66 10 yard penalty from the previous spot. Repeat, first down the veloute. Uh, right guard. Holding Donovan Jeter was pronunciation, their partner, and yes, that's correct. And it takes so much discipline to let your man go when that quarterback does break the pocket, but For an official look, holding happens every play the only time they're gonna call. It may see you restricting someone's movement on the quarterback breaks the pocket. It becomes very obvious if you're holding someone restricting his movement from chasing that quarterback 1st and 26 penalties now for 59 yards, Morris guns it over the middle. That's caught found the seam and, of course, Carol Bynum, who is sneaky with his routes. Pulls it in for a.

"Harbaugh. It is a very interesting coincidence. Yes, it is. Let's see what Washington does here. They get the football back pretty quick. After their most recent score. There is still down 14 24 to 10 10 15 to go in the fourth quarter, and the drive for the Huskies will start at their own 18 yard line after a magnificent punt. The Wolverines bunter Brad Robbins. Let's not forget who the best player on the field has been tonight for Michigan. Defensively, it's been Aidan Hutchinson, especially if they're going to throw the ball down the field watch for him to be a factor. He is lined up to the right of Morris and the shotgun looking to come in off that edge is the defensive end. Morris guns it over the middle and across the road in and out of the hands of K dot and one of his favorite targets. 2nd and 10 now for the incomplete pass. Wall in front of the great coverage that time by Josh Ross talked a lot about how much we like him as a player, but that time Josh Ross was all over two guys there who are probably playing on Sundays. Left Dash two right one left. Morris throws that right side that's caught by Jackson, trying to make a move and paid for it made the catch of the 23 tried to turn in and back out, and that's where the play stops. 5 35 now Green and Hill in the secondary make the stop for the Wolverines. Mike McDonalds have even reported for Michigan. He's not just sitting back and let him go down the field. He's bringing constant pressure brought a linebacker. At that time He got pressure on Morris Enforcement really through come five rushers, putting Blitzer on the linebacker package. Morris Thrills left side caught first down forward progress to the 31 yard line that will move the change. "On an out route on the left side and bail inspector is that inside linebacker just sled there right underneath. JT Daniels clearly never saw him. He was looking only at the corner, and that was an easy pick that time for the experience. Specter in the four games that Daniels played for Georgia, the end of last season, he threw 10 touchdowns 22 interceptions. He's heading through a This man and we'll Shipley has tackled after trying to advance it to the 30 yard line. He's just shy of 31 Darien Kendrick before Murtaugh Iger. Minds with no. One Smith on the tackle. We talked about field position. This is the first drive to start for Clemson. On the plus side of the field. They've got to make something of it. Especially a game like this Alan into tight end, right? Got a wide right to the left, Putting lost the slot on second down, younger, laid flush out of pocket room left sacked again. More trouble up front for Clemson. He's dropped to the 39 yard line. And this time it's Jalen Carter getting in on the front for the Bulldogs. It's a loss of eight yards. Bad, bad mistake, thereby we all will. You've got to get rid of that football. The protection Was pretty good initially, but ultimately the right tackle Walter Parkes loss and, more importantly,.

"Very good, because look, that's a guy who is clearly better than everybody else on the field. Every time that you hand him the ball. He's like, Okay. Is this place supposed to be for three yards? Well, I'm going to make it for seven yards play going to be for eight yards. I'm going to make it for 21 yards, and he did that every time he touched it, and that's such an unbelievable asset to have for the Longhorns going forward. But there was nothing about this game. Offensively that really blew me away, and that's what I was saying before we went to the news. I don't know if you guys heard the broadcast, but your friend Ed Tim Brando, they kept talking about Hudson card about It was like the birth of a legend about how this was the beginning. This was the beginning of the next You know, Dad, Colt McCoy, Vince Young James Street at Texas. And I'm like, I don't know, man. The guy was 14 21 for 200 yards like, Yeah, it was fine. But like what? What? On What? What? What from today? Are you going to put on Hudson cards real and be like, Look at this guy victory, but that's all right, Pop. No, I'll take a victory and his first start, and I think it's a building block for for Steve Sarkeesian. I don't think it was going to be totally all gas. No brakes. I was shocked at Josh More only had three receptions. Weddington was a man that was open. Weddington. Now I believe is the go to guy. Stay healthy. My God can go. Stay healthy. Stay, Elsie, come Expected this because be John has that quite assassin Fe look to him. He He's not flashy. He's going to. He's like You said he'll make a three yard run a seven yard run like that, But he's quiet in what he does, and I think Texas will go back to this offense. There is it's not the 2000 and 5 2006 offense that was explosive. A bunch of 60 70 80 yard plays. It's going to be chipping away with 25 30 40 yard plays and Will slowly pick a team apart. And I don't think you know this is not Steve Sarkeesian First Rodeo, his first rodeo. He's going to come in with new wrinkles. This week with Arkansas. We will see stop against Arkansas. We hadn't seen before. I thought a brilliant play was the play. When be John win in motion and called his touchdown passes. Hudson told him something Hudson told him something right before the snap. He was naked out there. I think we're going to see some new wrinkles. Can I think this is a building block and again? Defense was a story to me to the way they played. I think that's going to be great against Arkansas, Arkansas, losing at the half to Rice, they come back and win. 38 17. I don't get that game. That game doesn't come on that package. It didn't come on your dad. You didn't see that game. Let's see that game. No, I think next week get that we're going to find out so Much more next week vs Arkansas A team that look I've been disrespecting Louisiana all week and I will continue to do so. They'll be unranked when the rankings come out on one. Sure they will. And I think they'll be unranked the rest of the season because that team I mean, Unless look at that Texas defense is probably it is very good. But they they didn't challenge the Longhorn defense again. It was a third and eight play where they somehow knew to hand it off. And I guess Napier's got something on them there because they knew to hand it off there and they score a touchdown on that play. You take that play out of the game. And this is an embarrassment for them on offense. Yeah. And and they looked impressive in that first drive. I thought, too. They looked impressive. And then they just don't know if they were found out or what, Frank, but I think we'll find out so much more about this Texas team after playing Arkansas next week. Uh, and look at everything is good. I hate to be always the guy who's like, you know, crapping on things, particularly when I said I just wanted to touch down wind and they won by 20. And now I'm sort of like, what do you think of the opening line will be for next week. I think Texas will be favored a half about what 6.5. I think Texas will be favored by in Fayetteville, Fayetteville, North Vietnam. I think Texas, Texas. Everybody likes to bet on Texas. I think Texas will be favored by eight. What? Yeah, I was going to guess. Four really eight. I say, I'm sure it's out. Right now. This Texas raised rise in the ranks here. This wind, right? Yeah, I think they do. I think so. Let's get tipped it out of some scores. Houston leads Texas Tech 14 7 almost at halftime in Houston, Oklahoma State over Missouri State 22 3 at halftime. Baylor 14 Texas State 10 Bobcats. Hanging in there again. 14 Does that name on TV? Can I put I don't know It's on ESPN. Plus also, TCU PCU is playing mighty du Keine. Wow. Tcg lives do Cain by a score of 14 to nothing. Let's check on the Aggie is over in college station. They trailed early last report. They were leading 7 to 3. Let's see what the Aggie you're doing. Well, we'll find the Aggies in a minute. But the Aggies, huh? Did not. I was getting my tailgate on. So I did not get my eyes on a lot of games today, but Oh, you what up? Oh, yeah. They almost blew it. Second half they almost blew them to fight. Think 14 a nature. Yeah, they had They had a big lead, big lead at halftime. And then two lane came back into Lane scored two late, tried an onside kick that would have given the ball back when they win by five. Okay. The Aggies lead Kent State by a score of 10 to 3 in the second quarter. 10 to 3 Florida leaves Florida Atlanta 14. Nothing. Vandy over East Tennessee by Score three. Think it looks like Georgia is still And Clemson. Nothing. Nothing..

"That fair to say yes. Six three gaming thirteen hundred four catches for thirty eight yards week. Fifteen hundred four forty nine week. Seventeen year one for fifty-seven. It doesn't change the fact that he got more consistent as the year. what. I don't think he was consistently bad early in the year. Various games targets more consistent. I guess how. I should have said yes. That's that's true all right last one. He's already won so he's you can sit this one out. If you want bs one. I was the all right. You know what i. I'll buy that bake. You put some steaks out this too. That's how this these games are always played heath your always behind the eight ball. I was the number thirty three wide receiver non. Pr number twenty seven and pr last year yet. My adp is in the fifties right now. Marvin jones i was one of nineteen wide receivers with eight or more catches of those. You hear me say marvin marvin jones. Oh yes i did hear you of those nineteen players. Who had eighty or more catches only robby anderson. Cooper kupp caught fewer told. He's probably cheated. So i feel like i have to give it to dave. I would like i think after i get the third one now i get the clean sweep. I wanted to be competitive. But now i clearly won. All three clue was bad. Children get a lump of me in their stocking. So sorry. I didn't get that i get it. Yeah cole beasley. Who by the way in seven games without john brown had fifty eight targets in seven games with john brown. Seventy four percent. Sorry seventy sorry. Forty two targets very oh and there was one game where john brown played like half the snaps and beasley had seven targets but did get more targets when john brown was not playing the bottom line. Yes all right now. Beasley gage brown where to speedily rank. He should rank behind gauge. Why and well. There's a couple of probably aren't really ready to talk about. Let's assume that he makes the team. We do expect. Gabriel davis to be a popular receiver. And we think he's gonna see target jump and emmanuel sanders is there and he can do a lot of the same things that cole beasley has been doing. So i don't think we have to. I'd only we gloss over that about the vaccine. Yeah we're all wondering if this year. Yeah i mean wait. He's singled out for it. That would seem we are. Because there's there are plenty of players in the nfl who've made the decision vaccinated. There's no problem with that sison. But he has he's had a long rant about not wanting to follow different protocols than vaccinated players and the team has to decide whether or not they ev- every team has to do this. Whether you're comfortable with this or not every team has to decide which players they're okay with not being vaccinated. They cannot cut him because he won't give. I don't think they could you know they. They can cut him if he refuses to get tested daily. Oh i suppose they could if he does that. Then he might surrender salary gorgeous like even if that whole thing's silly he is a much higher risk of missing games than a player that gets vaccinated because he has to get tested every day and they don't all right. That's fine but if you if you wanted to throw that out and just evaluate them as players on. I would have easily slightly ahead of gauge..

"Welcome back to the steelers retro show. My name is brian. Anthony davis his name. Is tony deficit. Anthony julius steffi oh to be precise and we are talking about the steelers and the colts. It's week three in a very important contest for two one and one teams early on in that season. Tony the colts up seven nothing. The steelers have a chance to tie but what happened. They were riding the foster train down to the eight yard. Line getting him back to pass and he was nailed. From behind tony bennett. I think tony bennett left. Donald's heart from three rivers stadium already. Relent joke to come up and quitting. Corey picked it up linebacker and took it. Eighty five yards and instead of being seven seven or at the very least seven three in his fourteen nothing visitors. The heavily underdog visitors are up fourteen. Nothing over steelers. You were definitely needed this game. You don't have to a good start to their season so with thirteen. Thirty five left in the half the culture up fourteen. Nothing like you just said. And there's no crooning in the stands of three rivers but there was crying yes. Enough was enough for superstar. Rod woodson who looked to break the ensuing kickoff for a ninety eight yard return and the score. Oh my gosh tony. It was a thing of beauty as he wrote up the right side and went in for the score. That place was a rock and right after that but there was a yellow flag on the field. Turn around looking like what's the deal. I thought i had a touchdown but no the flag had nothing to do with it. What was it. He stepped out of bounds. And fortunately just barely two replay in those days. And if they did he. Probably wouldn't overturn set of a touchdown they had to settle for simply pretty darn good field position. He touched like maybe two white blades of grass right. He just grazed it. But that's enough. Tony what were your thoughts on. That have been hard to argue with the officials on that play and if instant replay did exist there wouldn't have been any real visual evidence especially back in one thousand nine hundred four to overturn it. You could definitely make an argument for him as you said just barely stepping out of bounds. But you couldn't really see anything to overturn it either. But undeterred. o'donnell went equal parts. Air and ground. Aided by fifteen yard or to my man yancey thigpen one of my all time faves and a seven yarder to his gigantic tight end. Eric green another one of our favorites. Tony eric green was a specimen he was talking about in this game. It just shows you how much talent he had and how much different he was and most of the titans era and if he would have been able to put his i mean he had a decent career but if he would have been able to really put it together you could have been one of the all time greats with a first down at the colts. Twenty-seven neil o'donnell found himself in peril. He's ruling right. he laughs it. Twenty seven yards into the endzone into the waiting arms of a guy. We talked a lot about eric. Green for the score after anderson. Kick the ball true. The score was now cut in half at fourteen to seven. The towels emerged in the three rivers. Crowd they were alive again. Doni they weren't. This was a very big answer for them. After tony bennett in quinton courier teamed up to make it fourteen. Nothing they really need to answer. You mentioned what's in kickoff return that put them in prime position and now the great down from donohoe green. That was really really huge. After holding the colts to a three and out the steelers came out looking for even steven on third and fourth from the steelers thirty eight. The colts looked to hold on an incompletion from donald to win. But jeff harada was nailed for legal contact to keep the drive alive for the pittsburgh steelers when foster ran for fourteen yards on three carries caught. One pass for five and rookies charles. Johnson and bam morris contributed. The men of steel found themselves on the colts twenty nine. So what do they do tony. They give the ball to number twenty nine and he rumbled right all the way into where the end zone and win a beautiful play. This was as you said it was. It was around the right end and he was pretty untouchable. Great blocking all the way down the field and we mentioned earlier in the show he he. Somebody at the offense need to get going and he was really going on display big assist from duval love who was pulling and a block downfield from thig pen to get him into the end zone at the five thirty five mark. Anderson's point made the score fourteen fourteen. So check this out. After that touchdown tony sixteen carries for foster on the day in only twenty minutes and twenty five seconds hundred yards absolutely incredible for this guy. You have the heralded rookie on the other side and beasley reece was saying know. Sometimes you sit home and you see all this attention to a rookie from another team. And you're like hey don't forget about me. This is exactly what happened with. Barry foster a great return by dual brewer and a facemask penalty by special teams. Victor john's set the white clad colts up at the pittsburgh thirty yard line but the steelers defense bottled up marshall faulk and then kevin greene dropped harbs for a sec of eight yards and another punt in sued by the four time pro bowler and soon to be steeler stark two minutes and forty seconds remained on the game clock before the half.

"All homeboy. He won national championships and he was like. Hey you got one of those roster spots leftover. Let me hold it for a little while. But he can't hold it all season. He can hold it up until the games matter because this is not the nba where there's plenty of guys who don't see the court in the nfl. You need every roster spot and tim tebow to me is not going to be effective at any of the jobs. They're going to need him to do in order to earn a roster spot unless they don't care about winning this year for the for the record there are no limitations in the new. Cba and who you can put on your practice squad. He would be eligible for that all right one more dominate. Who's the best running back in the nfl. I think it's alvin kamara i. I know that there's a lot of really good running backs in in the league. Right now but alvin kamara special. I know everyone knows about his ability to run and catch the ball and make big plays that way. But you've got to understand that it's about being efficient and effective as a player and he led the league for touches that ended up in that result in a first down which is incredibly impressive. That's the point. We don't need any yards. That are useless. We don't need you running up the score. We need to advance the ball. We don't need eight yards on third and ten when he first downs. Alvin kamara is going to give that to you whether it's from handing the ball or throwing the ball if i was building a team that's the prototypical back that i want right now. Album kamar interesting. That's the same answer that marc spears galas to that question yesterday with the random question with tweeted by our matt miller over the weekend and so we decided to answer. Let me bring diana. Andy would back in so Neak has alvin kamara diana. Who's the best running back in the nfl. All have king kinks. There isn't why i get the greats up here. If you have noticed steve. "But, yeah, you know when when he gets to the point where I think that was the problem. Like what? You just said Beatty was the problem with Carson Wentz, get to the point. Where is like Did nobody's open? Let me scramble around, is it? I think I think I get this down there. Let me just go and see what happens. Yep. Like when you get to the point you're saying let me throw it and see what happens. You become a liability to your team, and it's why It's hard to blame Doug Peterson for saying. All right, Jalen hurts might be in that exact same situation. But what Jalen hurts is going to do because he's he's not more of an athlete discourse in which is actually a pretty good athlete. But he's more capable of a runner with Jalen hurts is going to do is touch the ball. Go get eight yards and maybe bust wanted goes for 40. And so it became about who had the Who gave us the best chances of the Eagles, who gave us the best chance to win and it became Jalen hurts over Carson wits, and so I kind of agree with what Frank Reich is saying. I don't know if Carson Wentz was broken, Maybe his mentality was broken His skill sets not because that that is what it is. It was just the decision making was fault was so flawed that the Eagles had no choice but to sit him on the bench. Yeah, and listen, he didn't comport himself Well, that that was the theme on this show. It didn't seem to be Number one. He dodged his media responsibilities at the end of the season during the end of this during the final month. That is weak man. If if you're a franchise quarterback in the NFL, the biggest sport in our country, you've got to be accountable. You've got to be visible. You've got to be present and let's face it. He kind of ran and hid for a little bit. He did. Hey, ducked out on baggy Day didn't even address the Philadelphia media. That is this. Addison's week is it gets another thing I'll say about right. While I certainly trust his his instincts. I think he's a great football mind as do you. We do know that they both share a very deep Christian faith and a lot of people. Okay, A lot of people have made that connection now, which is great if that's if that's that that's energy that Helps propel you phenomenal, but that can't be. The only reason that Frank Reich is bringing him in. Frank Reich is way smarter than that. I guarantee he looked at every single throw from every angle many times last year before making this commitment to Carson Wentz and said, All right, I see No one's open downfield left pocket collapsed like that right side got bent in like that. He's running for his least chuck and duck in he's playing hero bullies trying to make a play. He's a competitive her. Really? You know, the more I think about this. I I'm actually I'm actually pretty resolute that Carson Wentz is going to come out and dispel critics. Pretty quickly. Not saying he's going to be an M V P candidate right away, But I don't I would be stunned. If we're having a discussion in September. This guy's finished. What in the world happened to him? He is beyond salvation. You gotta bench. You just don't see that happening. I don't think so. We don't think I think you're right again. I like Carson Wentz. I just hated. I hated how he played and how he behaved last year because that was not what we saw in the first three. Know that about him. All right. Well, we know where urban Meyer let's get to this coming up next to the shore. Urban likes to do things to his own beat. We know that well, how about drafting.

"Draft. We got Dak Prescott. Third hour could be a lot of fun. Dallas. What will they do on draft night? We shall see coming up next segment. Luca Garza, former Iowa star, one wooden kind of pro. Is he gonna make great college player really one of them or decorated college players we've seen in I mean, I probably say 15 20 years. I mean, And there is entire career. Not a one and done that to you know, he just the numbers are incredible. The awards a great got better Every year. We'll talk to him and by the way, the Packers GM says that Aaron Wright very noble of him. Says that Rogers is their quarterback for the foreseeable future. Well, what do you do it you wouldn't love We'll have that conversation and another interesting experiment in baseball that two years ago, I would have hated Um much more open to it today, though. I do think my partner will like it a lot more than I do. We'll get to it all. All right, let's get to this Teddy Bridgewater. On the move yet again, you know there's two lessons here. Feel bad for well, Yeah, right. The main lesson to me and we'll get to what? You know what this means. For Denver sixth round pick goes to The Panthers Teddy Bridgewater again rerouted going to the Broncos then and obviously, by extension. What That means for drew lock what that means for the draft, etcetera, But what this means Take if you are Viewed as a good locker room guy. Ah, smart guy. Um, a savvy guy of physically resilient guy and a steady performer. You're gonna work forever. Yeah, You're right. That's what that means. Zah. Good point. I was even thinking of in that context, but Teddy Bridge bar water is desired on teams. You know, he might not be highly thought of as the starter. He's the guy you want on your on your team because of two reasons. One he's going to compete. And you know, he wants to be the man. He wants to be that guy on If he beats out your starter then then the competition was it was worthwhile. But if he doesn't he's not going toe. You know, cause a stink or say the wrong thing or make it uncomfortable for their starter in front of him, you know, and I think that's exactly why the Denver Broncos have brought him in the Broncos. Who are sitting a little bit farther down in the draft and ninth, right? Yeah, night. Probably. I mean, it's gonna be hard. Um, no, no. Yeah, yeah, They're night. Um, it's gonna be hard for them. You know, there's actually Yeah. It's gonna be hard for them there. Yeah, I'm looking. I'm looking at this market. What do you look at it upside down 96. No. You know, Pff has mock draft pro football, focusing its They go up. They're not gonna be able to get one of the top guys. And I mean, I don't know what their draft capital looks like behind. But I suspect that they are. They're planning for the individuality that they don't get another quarterback in this draft, and even if they do Teddy Bridgewater is kind of the perfect, you know, either competitors or or mentor for that guy, So it makes sense. Always around for dinner. No matter what they do in this draft. I like it. Let me give you a little perspective. First of all, they're gonna win that division, which they're not gonna win, no matter what they do. Good point, You better score some points. You know, this is not like a backdoor division like nine and 7 10 and six a bunch of tight games. Kansas City scored nearly 500 points last year, nearly 500 How many did Denver score? They scored 323, which was 50 fewer than the Chargers, which Woz 115 fewer than the Raiders and 130 plus fewer than Kansas City. So you know, the thing about you lock is he could probably get in the end zone a little quicker because he's got a better arm. He's better athlete. Yeah, Yeah, I was, I would say, I would say so. Fortunately, better athlete, but more dynamic, throwing the ball for sure. They could get you in the end zone quicker, big. He could also get the opposition in the end zone quicker because he could either throw a pick six or non timely pick and they get a short field. Where is Teddy Bridgewater? It's going to be more methodical. Gonna have to move the sticks and might be 89 minute drive. You might eventually get a field goal. Maybe occasionally, occasionally you get a touchdown but least with the defense You know, you've got a chance. If Teddy, you know place where he usually plays protects the ball. You've got a chance to steal a game or two. The way I think this goes is Even Denver. I'm really hoping Drew lock shows enough and asserts himself enough in camp that he immediately wins the job that he immediately shows that is more dynamic and he's he's smooth out some of the rough edges. And if that's not the case, or if he does, and he regresses boom, go to the bullpen to a reliable guy. Yeah, no, that's likely where they're going. And Denver's an odd team because It's hard to know where to place them like what's or what's the expectation for the Broncos in 2021. Now we know that they they're hoping that with Pat Shurmur, now as their offensive coordinator. This will be his second year under Vic Fangio that, you know, drew lock. Take some steps forward. He becomes a little bit more trustworthy with the football because we don't know and I bring it up. Every time we talk about this, he had a stretch where he turned the ball over 15 straight games. Ah, lot of that was interceptions. He had 15 interceptions on the season, but Some of those were fumbles as well. He just he and it's not that he's I want sees. You're responsible with the ball like like Daniel Jones was. We're just unaware of the pocket. It was more. He was trying to make plays like he's all right. I'm gonna want to smash this ball. Lynn. I could go get eight yards, but I'm gonna throw this thing into tight coverage does that That's the cool play to make. He's got it. He's got to be coached out of trying to make the cool play and make the right play, and I think he can actually be a pretty good starter in the NFL. I think his teammates like him. I think he's got a great energy about himself. He's young and got all the skills, the arm talent, all that stuff that we like to talk about. But it's his decision making. That's been the question Mark and maybe bringing in a guy like Teddy Bridgewater and and let's assume like you just said BT he beats out Teddy Bridgewater. He takes on some of the traits of Teddy Bridgewater, which is he doesn't turn the ball over a lot, You know, interesting that maybe that transfer somewhere in the quarterback room in the process of competing with somebody you can certainly Pick out somebody strengthen and slowly incorporated within your your game. Whether it's on the radio or whether it's you know, in the boardroom, whatever it might be. I mean, if you're in a stupid person, I think you always could learn from other people's love their strengths and weaknesses. I I think that this is a really savvy move because It does not preclude you while the likelihood is low, but it doesn't preclude you if something wacky happens If somebody drops you can still take a quarterback if some if somebody is that, you know that Eyes enticing to you is there so you don't? Don't you're not out of you're not out of the game entirely..

"My decision. Mm hmm. It wasn't a decision was the wrong decision. First of all, it's Aaron Rodgers. Just because he hasn't gotten it on the first three doesn't mean he's not going to find somebody on the second one. Secondly, Even if they don't get it. They turned the ball over on the eight yard line. Right? So that's much better position that you're going to get after kicking a field goal and you're going to still have to come down and score a touchdown. Didn't he? Stop him? Not? This is what I don't get what he arrives. Okay? The coach made a dumb play. Whatever air Roger statue can he say, Wave him off? No, No, We're going for this. That's probably the greatest the greatest quarterback. Thanks. Oh, yeah. All the time out. Time out. Just I've seen either gonna You're not gonna call time out. Gonna use your time out. So that all happened pretty quickly. I see quarterbacks Wave him up. No, I'm not coming off the field. Get out of here. Well, you only have about 30 seconds to do all that and you got guys running onto the field and off the field. It's if coach makes the call. It's pretty damn hard. You know, sometimes Now you saw it happen, Kenny Exactly what you're saying at the end of the first half, which is I think where the game was won. When it was fourth down and they were going to punt. And then Tom Brady told his coach. No way shouldn't punt. We can get this. They call the time out. They went back out there on fourth and four converted on a six yard pass. And then everybody thought, Okay, well, they got six seconds left it just gonna throw the ball and, you know, get a little better field position for a field goal and steady throws like a 39 yard touchdown pass with one second to go, and that put them up 21 to 10. And they were kind of off to the races that came out in the second half and picked up a fumble and put it right in on one play in this 28 to 10, and that's why you want Tom Brady can. You can pick on him for his interceptions all you want, but when he needed to make the plays, he was there to do it and the defense played really well. It'll be very interesting to watch them. Go on the Super Bowl. Meanwhile, our own quarterback Matthew Stafford, you have to wonder like if you put Stafford on Green based team. If you put Stepford on Tampa based team He didn't least be in the playoffs. It's just not going to sit. He's not going to go six and 10 with those teams, and we at least win some games because, you know he's got these two guys. Well, okay. Aaron Rodgers is singular in his movement. He's unbelievable. But at this point, Brady has come back to the pack in terms of his accuracy. And I you I'm sure Stafford looks at that and says, I don't know if I could get in a team like that. Why couldn't I go to the Super Bowl? I think that's why I did it to this right here. These are his years. 30. This is it. 3 34 35 the next 45 years. These were his years. That's it, And he's given Detroit the best the best of his years numbers, but he's got to give it all they've done is screw up with coaches and GMs and start over and start over and build over and he's In a good soldier.
