The U.L.C. Podcast #15 Body Pillar, Nutrition

"They. You'll body should be treated as a temple. And just as saying goes, you are what you eat effectively making temple stronger or weaker. It should go to show that what you eat will your appearance and dictate how your body functions. This is one of the three parts of the body pillar in the four pillars philosophy. When elaborated on today. It is my hope you can leave here with a new understanding of what you're eating. We are going to go over the overall important nutritional diet and various aspects of what you need to take in for a healthy lifestyle. Let's explain the fundamentals of what it is in your food that you eat. Let us nor the process chemicals for today and talk about the literal components that are digested. They are calories protein carbs and fat protein is what your body uses the repair itself, not just muscles. Either. It is a necessary aspect of consumption, many people get way too little of it. However and committed that you take protein with an hour after workout. So your body can use it more effective or meat or plant based protein is good for you meet to be hard at just the time, especially for people with Cincinnati stomach. Or certain blood types. But both are useful meet actually is absorbed quicker than plant protein like ham or p so helps for post workout. However, it should be said that your body's recovering for about forty eight hours after a workout meaning you need to consume it consistently throughout for maximum recovery. So slow release plants may end up in your favor. Carbohydrates are the enemy. Well, not really actually took me. A while to realize how important is especially from my own personal diet due to the sheer amount of exercise. I do I kept losing muscle mass because of their essentially like a fuel source at dinner sugar that your body takes time to digest. This is useful doing high intensity movements cardio in your body to burn off a bit of calories, but mainly carbs, keeping your muscles safe and not consumed by embody for its energy needs. This could be looked at as a negative. However. Because of you're trying to lose fat, not wait, then bouncing the right amount of carbs in a day. Let alone before workout can be hard. This is why some people lose fat, but not actual pounds off their weight the pin on your lifestyle could be good. Or bad fat? Now, this is the enemy well sort of as there's different types of fat. Yes. I know there are different types of the components. We've talked about, but this is more prevalent, especially for those of you aiming to trim down to size the goal here. The minimize the amount of fat you consume, but more importantly to pay attention to the type of fat as some fats, go directly to the body storage and make you fat while others, go through the Justice system smoothly. Saturated fats are the ones that aim for when consuming. This is why coconut oil is so sought after contrary to the current popular relief. You do actually need animal fat to have healthy brain that keeps the neural plasticity stronger and adds a bit of padding in a matter speaking calories, actually, save this for lives as many people do not understand how simplistic yet also complicated for some people. They are literally energy that is it how much you consume will constitute what your body uses. This is why dietitian say to go into negative calories. When you want to lose weight or conversely, eat a bunch of calories. If you want to gain weight say for muscle. Problem is many people don't actually do that. And they stay at the same physique because of it or perhaps even worse exercise. The key components everything we've talked about today and the underlying theme of the United living construct this balance after all in this case does not just refer to balance in the traditional values we talked about. But the balance of what you eat and exercise, you do as activity is to take heed on what your next meal is and what you can do to spice things up or more importantly, changed ingredients to something that was more substantial to your diet overall. I think this will cover the basics of nutrition for the time being and there's any questions on the information today. Please feel free to reach out to me and you'll see with any questions of nutrition in relation to self development. One little note, I've been having issues with my recording equipment, and they're spent skips in the audio. When I check before I post, I have not heard anything. But if you are listening today or near podcast, and you hear an audio skip or some kind of malfunction, please message me, so I can get it fixed. Thank you so much. That is for today's podcast have a wonderful weekend.

Doing Nothing Is Something

"Hello my name is Jesse. Come this podcast number. Four hundred thirty for. Why would we teach you for rules to help you? Stop it from paycheck to paycheck. Get Out of debt and save more money. Doing nothing is something I know. I mentioned this in prior podcast but probably not as it relates to the markets and investing for the long haul. We did talk about having a written plan having a something that you would say. This is going to stay the same so no matter what happens around me. I will consistently do this. Plan my plan of having enough to retire my plan of this or that or investing in this way this asset allocation all that is founded on something that doesn't change so in the market is gyrating around you. Your plan is still the same and you always have to go back and say well did. Did something change. That made my plan change. And if it did not then I would in this instance only because budgeting not about this but in this instance only I would say barry your head in the sand. The point here is doing nothing is something so when everyone else is frantic and panicky. And just saying what do I do what do I do I do the ability to do nothing is absolutely precious and rare. Think about that when you have this urge like I've got it. I've got to do something. Could you put it off for a day or two or five? You might find that waiting. Forty eight hours changes everything so I would just urge you and hopefully things are calmer for you in life than they have been recently as I record this but I would urge you to recognize that sometimes. Doing nothing is the best thing you can do. And in that instance. You really are doing something. And it's laudable until next time following APPS for rules and you will win financially. You've never budgeted like this.

Badass Unscripted - Uncommon Does Not Mean Overdoing

"Welcome everybody to another episode of bad ass unscripted when you boil it all down one. I'm trying to teach is being on common. Don't we all want that? Don't we all WANNA BE EXCEPTIONAL? The best at what we do is almost a little romance about the idea of being so dedicated above average. Not just natural talent. But I'm talking about commitment and will and strength excellence effectiveness. We all want to be great but when you encourage and promote people to be great to become more sometimes a little problem pops up and I'm guilty of this in the past to be sure you know what I still do it now. If you get me into something new I want to go straight to hero. Would it be right up there by the finish line? Yeah I WANNA go from where I am which is pretty much zero to hero to accomplish. I WANNA get right to great to this may happen to you when you start working with teams again avenue personally or the people around. You doesn't matter you need to notice it. Here's what it is is that some people will start doing too much. We all know that person right. They come into the office on Monday or Tuesday. They've created all these charts and procedures rules regulations. You tell the team to make your creed. And they come up with the Declaration of independence you suggest creating a definition a done and they come up with something seventeen pages long. They've even made an APP for it. It's kind of like when you start a new workout program and you're so desperate to see results are so desperate to get to that finished picture of you that you work out for you. Know eight hours a day. Now we all know intellectually. That's not going to work. So let me remind you today. That being uncommon doesn't mean overdoing it. It doesn't mean strenuous exertion. In fact what I want to drive home is that it's the opposite simple elegance. I spoke about it a long time ago. I call attention ruins. Everything and slow is smooth and smooth is fast. Take minimally effective steps agile. Leaving has the concept of the minimum viable product. The smallest increment of done stuff. That will work. You should take that approach to your development and your agile adoption and transformation journey as well. I would rather you take consistent. Small steps to becoming more agile than everyone blow their heads off trying to produce too much trying to get to perfection too quickly and I get it because when you first hear about it I mean it's inspiring right. If you talk about agile well you like other people up because it sounds like freedom. It sounds like excellent. It sounds like focusing on quality and focusing on people. Happy teams better stuff. Who Doesn't want that? Who Doesn't want to get there and who doesn't WanNa get there in a hurry but here's where I want you to fall back to what I always call. Grandma's wisdom slow and steady wins the race. Easy does it remember today. That mastery is a path. It's a journey. It's not a place. You can jump to improvements accrue slowly over time and we have to remember that today. But let's get frank for a second when you're in the team room. There's someone who's showing up in in your head. You're looking at them going. They're trying too hard who they try to impress. That's where you tend to see an overeagerness to get to the finish line now. But the reason why it's so important a culture this in people at the team level because eventually we WANNA communicate to product owners to management to executive to decision makers to champions. Is that? This doesn't radically change overnight. This is a progression toward excellence. When Agile fails what are we always say we always say? The executive layer wasn't ready was expecting results. Too Soon was looking for perfection out of the gate. Their expectations were too high. And they were unsupportive of the mechanics of Judy. The you have to respect and observe for to work well so the reason I want you to contemplate that overdoing. It is not how you get on. Common is because the sooner we start advertising that stance the easier. It will be to manage expectations in the future. And if anyone pushes back on that concept and says well if we're not gonNA see benefits at some point why bother? Why do this stakeholders have a right to see improvements? Don't they yeah? Of course they do remember i. Oh we say agile. Success depends on starting small fires. That other people are gonNA WANNA come to to get warm if you do small things well and you do it consistently if you're showing up weekly with tiny gains and tiny accomplishments and you make those. Gains of visible people will notice. You won't have to worry about disappointing people because your promises are not what you market your actions. Your outcomes in your achievement are but he tried to Overdo it in the beginning guys. Guess what you're going to blow a tire and there you be at the side of the road waving at traffic waiting for rescue to come so if you want to be on. Common take small consistent daily action and that's what you show to the world Argos Olympic. Because you crazy thanks for tuning in as always let me know how this works for you can reach out a bad ass. Agile DOT COM. You can find me on twitter at underscore agile and on Instagram at Bat. Fifteen Steps For Democracy

"Voting is the core of democracy. So are there some simple steps to take to make the united states more of democracy. I'm bill newman. And this is the civil liberties minute for starters. Let's make it easier to register to vote allow same day registration. Stop voter purges. And felony disenfranchisement mail in voting a norm as it has been in five states prior to twenty twenty allow. No excuse necessary. Absentee ballots give adequate resources to the. Us postal service. So that ballots can be timely. Delivered make early voting a permanent feature of our elections increase the number of days of early voting and increase the number of polling places. So that voters who are voting in person. Don't have to stand in line for six or eight hours in the heat or the cold. At least replace the seventeen hundred polling places that have been discontinued in recent years. Make sure there are an adequate number of drop boxes reinstated protections of the voting rights act. So that people seeking vote are not discriminated against on the basis of race. Make sure that there is a paper trail for balance so that we can have that votes are counted and that recounts when necessary can be conducted accurately and fairly in a word. Do everything possible to allow every eligible voter to vote. And then count every bout. We can do this. It's not that complicated. We just need to find the will to make our country afar better democracy. The civil liberties minute is made possible by the aclu because freedom can protect itself.

Sleeping (MM #3497)

"The Maison with Kevin Nation always tell you a practice makes perfect. So I've been practicing sleeping six to eight hours a night probably for my entire life saw, no better at it. Now than what I used to be. I kind of joke both my wife and I have had sleeping problems this last week. I don't know partly. It's the weather outside. Our weather can be eighty one day and sixty the next so it gets cold in the middle of night. So you don't have the right number. It's you don't have enough blankets give too many blankets. You sweat one night you get too cold the next night. I don't care what you do with the thermostat because you can leave the air conditioning on a 64 in the winter and 64 in the summer are two different fields, but it's amazing it just as the body gets older as you get older. You want more sleep you crave more sleep. You're supposed to have more sleep, but your body won't allow you to have sleep. I can have a night where I can sleep for eight solid hours. No problem. I go to bed sleep and wake up the next morning refreshed the next night. I toss I turn I can't get my legs comfortable. I can't get my back comfortable. My pillows not right. It's kind of amazing that from one night to the next. You just don't sleep. Well, I guess that's everybody but practice in this case does not make perfect choice.

Why Does God Punish for Eternity?

"Rep delia dish where we provide a quick pip. According according to this is the ministry of striving for eternity. Why would god punish someone fraternity for temporal sins james this is own way here often and the reason it is a struggle for some because they do not understand the nature of god god and therefore the nature of sin. We have to remember that. God is eternal. God is eternally an infinitely holy holy infinitely just infinitely righteous and therefore when we break god's law there is an infinite in consequence to it not because of the sin itself but because of who we have offended. I often use this illustration to to try to help people understand this. If you were to threaten my life the police would tell you to stay away from me and they're probably would not be much that would come of it however ever. If you threaten the president of the united states his life well you'd probably be in jail for at least forty eight hours until they can find and something else to hold you on to see if the threat was real another words there was a difference in the consequence and yet the threat was identical. What made the difference. The difference was who was offended well. When it comes to god he is an infinitely holy being being and therefore that carries with it an infinite consequence yes the sin may be temporal and similar to others but it's against a holy the infinite god. Ep. 524 - Trent365! - 48 Hrs After Bowen Therapy

"Okay. Forty eight hours after my bone therapy treatment yesterday. I felt like I'd been hit by a bus today. I kind of feel like that bus has backed up over me and run over my foot. But I guess that's progress. So yesterday twenty four hours after the treatment after presenting with these shoes that were essentially symptoms of plant. She Itis pine in the ball of the foot the mine issues. I had yesterday was a lot of pain in around the knee in the Khafus specially and down on the bull of the foot again in the even the top of the foot very swollen very hot to touch very sorta touch today. Twenty four hours after that, so forty-eight hours after the treatment. And most of the pain has now moved down to the ankle the ankles swollen sorta touch the ball of the foot is still there. But the kaffirs seems to have been released pretty much which is interesting, and yeah, look, I'm doing the magnesium oils and the Epsom salt bounce and all that stuff. But to me, that's that's not the interesting. Interesting bit is how this bone therapy. Treatment has really released all the stuff and what she did. Apparently was the Soe's muscle, which is sort of part of the hip flakes in that area. That was one of the the big areas of concern she actually released the facial around that leading to that mainly through the stomach area. Which was interesting. But look, it's a really interesting thing this bone therapy. I'd never really heard much about it before. But having tried it. It's certainly unlocked something within and so I think anyone who's interested in treatments and healing should definitely go and check out bone therapy. It's apparently an OSCE car back in the seventies who actually came up with this technique, and as some people have pointed out it is a fairly gentle technique. It's kind of a rolling and a slight sort of flicking motion, but really mainly rolling motion. And it's a fairly gentle treatment. It doesn't actually really hurt a lot during the treatment most of the time until I get those real sensitive areas, which I can still feel today actually little bruised. But I tell you what once it those channels bloody hill or I will be back again tomorrow, thanks for tuning in. So. Yeah.

It's cutting into your exercise time it's stabbing you in the back nine and it's attacking your peace of mind it's pain and it's getting between you in of hours that is a stat from the website pocket surfaces in the break room were recommended One study found that a pathogen placed on a single doorknob could essentially infiltrate an entire office building within a matter studies have shown that seventy eight hours is the best for your body to do a good job at fighting off those effective your body needs sleep your body needs rest in order to heal in order to help your body get over the cold things some natural things that you can do to help when you get sick and the first the first one affections seven or eight hours at night and then if you have time to take a nap during the day that can help as well and maybe you do and maybe you don't getting my flu shot which I try to do every year of course you can still get colds and different types of flus throughout the winter as if you can should stay home from work than you definitely have time to take a nap I know that is not possible for everyone although it is definitely guilty vulnerable to the spread of viruses of course so one of the things that you can do in addition to getting lots of rest of course is to wash your hands wash wash wash your hands it's colder it becomes that cold and flu season we spoke also a few weeks ago about some common health misconceptions and one of those is to actually take a break you know some of your like yeah right who has time but the the simplest remedy is often the most I am your host Sarah and I am happy to be with you once again to talk about some health and wellness topics I spoke a few weeks ago actually happen but still you can catch a lot of colds this time of year other people are catching colds it's just kind of germy factory out there so there are some the healthiest and you want to be healthier yet you just don't know what to do all these shows telling you this and that but nothing seems to work will slip old and you know if you were if you you're probably thinking if I had time to rest I probably wouldn't have gotten sick in the first place but hey you know it after you well as often as possible especially if you touch your face or if you blow your nose or if you rub your eyes any anything that's going to bring you in com contact them but don't do it I have a very dear friend who has a two year old son whose medically fragile and that means that he does not fight off avoiding alcohol cutting down on alcohol at center et Cetera or at least choose your alcohol very carefully you're just sitting at your desk and you you blow your nose and you don't want to go to the bathroom every time you lawyer knows you have a bottle of hand sanitizer sitting there and you can you can fevers and mucus production doesn't that sound lovely fevers mucus production leave you dehydrated definitely fevers as you know which I it's take care of some of those germs in that way you you want to try not to infect your co workers if you are sick do not go around eating habits die and everything about healthy living join us in our banters as we help you not just live life to the fullest but live it too going out with wet hair or getting cold can cause you to get a cold to catch a cold to the very popular trope in Jane Austen novels but that doesn't listen close golden state media concepts has got something great fruit you the health and wellness podcast dedicated to workout trends infection is easily as others hugh even the slightest cold Ken caused him to have pneumonia inland him in the nick. You and that's not good so heavy on turmeric this spice has some anti inflammatory properties in cells in the lab though it's at this point unclear became the second tip for when you're feeling sick is to avoid alcohol you ever noticed that that is on a lot of these lists that we talk about with some of those mucous membranes in your body if you don't if you if you're not near the now let me start that over basically if you're sick do not go around medically fragile folk a stay at home with your germs of you at all possible why it's very very important to hydrate hydrate hydrate hydrate if you can't stand to just drink water or actually the only time that I ever want to drink orange juice some researchers suggest that a hot cup of tea or lemon water will help decongest you with its steam in you can also try making a hot beverage. ABC'S DO NOT KISS babies time of year if you especially if they're not your own I know baby heads they're so sweet and they'd smells good and you just want to smoke the flu but as long as you're losing reasonable amount a couple of tablespoons should do it some doctors say the special ingredient won't hurt how well they translate into concrete results inside our bodies but even if that doesn't work as well as you might hope studies show that the placebo this article to the one nip of alcohol you might be able to justify while you have a cold and that alcohol is a hot toddy which consists of honey sometimes some tea and a little shot of whiskey and that usually helps me to do the speaking engagement the following day it's not a perfect of the hot toddy I don't drink a lot but when I have laryngitis and I have a speaking engagement I do lemon and is is what I'm sick when I have a sore throat I don't particularly like orange juice I don't hate it but it's not my go-to drink but when I am sick oh I just want to charge a gallon of orange juice water lemon and honey spiked with spirits usually whiskey this this doesn't help you fight off dampen your immune system and dehydrate you so don't guzzle that winer that beer even at even if it is the holiday season coming up and you may be fighted parties you know try not to imbibe I will say okay so with his article says is that what you really want hot drink as I mentioned a good cup of tea social media don't we so there isn't exactly concrete evidence that a bowl of chicken soup can make your cold shorter yeah so if it makes you feel calmer and help soothe you to sleep go ahead and enjoy a quote unquote medicinal cocktail now I will say I as I said before I get a lot of sinus infections spiders since I've had sinus surgery but I've had sinus infections bronchitis kind of chronically for years and and your budget let's face it unexpected and expensive repairs can pop up that's why triple a vehicle protection plans provide comprehensive coverage for maintenance be safe about the way you drink alcohol speaking of hot liquids soup can't hurt and you know that's one of the things that hydrate T- can work he can sue that sore throat if you have one so definitely hydrate but excessive alcohol consumption will I used to do a lot of public speaking I still do a lot of speaking because I do this podcast it's just not so public because I am here by myself in studio if you've owned your car for a while or maybe you got a great deal on a used vehicle that feels new to you AAA has a vehicle protection plan that fits your needs awesome but it helps me to at least have enough voice that I'm not whispering and trying to do a public speaking engagement again I don't about Finding the right pros for home projects can be tough and spark a lot of questions like how do I find a pro who can help will they do a good job will I get a fair price so just be be careful in how you imbibe when you are sick anytime really you want to be careful and you want to ships well listen to the golden state media concepts relationship podcast you're want stop podcast for everything properties let's talk a little bit more about soup after the first break you are listening to the GS MCI health and wellness podcast and I'll be right back cheer when I was sick doesn't matter at one point when I was sick I had a a tray I was sitting in bed and I had a trade that had I think it had my book the hot beverage is nothing to sneeze at ha ha if you've you'll cozy and comfortable you will feel better that brings and a cup of tea and a bowl of soup and probably a box of Kleenex I don't know but I had my I had my little thing and that was my those my instagram posts man we shared that's where homeadvisor can help from leaky faucets to major remodels homeadvisor connects you to the right person for the job in seconds and even helps you get a fair price review severe but it can certainly bring you comfort but some stand some studies do support it's healing powers because it may have may have anti inflammatory it'll soup is definitely one of those things that people think of when they are sick is actually reminds me of an instagram post I did last do you WanNa be careful when you buy canned soup because it can have a lot of sodium and sodium can help to dehydrate you so be cautious when you are doing news check Project Cost Guides and book appointments go to Homeadvisor DOT COM or download the free homeadvisor APP to start your next project we we always hear when you're sick you should have a chicken noodle soup Yeah maybe your mom major took a noodle soup maybe it came from a can maybe it was homemade chicken drink it much if I have it two nights in a row that's pretty that's pretty crazy for me but I can't help certain ways and that's how it helps for me he's that hefty placebo effect since so many of us grow up associating the liquid in or associated chicken soup as I mentioned before with comfort and he ability to warm up your congested regions and potentially help dislodge some use mucus in the process it also Shirley don't but I did use to do a lot of public speaking and I get Laryngitis at least once a year that is the time when I partake can be comforting and it may have as I said some anti inflammatory properties just like the hot tease those hot totti's that we mentioned earlier soup has the worn down during the holidays and before the break we started talking about soup specifically chicken soup whether that's chicken noodle soup or chicken dumpling soup or how what have you chicken soup real properties as to kill viruses in your body the evidence hasn't really come to support that yet so swallowing raw garlic isn't worth it but anyway chicken soup especially the homemade variety is a balanced and nutritious meal eating lots of fruits and veggies and other wholesome foodstuffs is an import wind tear mucus membranes gargling saltwater which is roughly a quarter to a half a teaspoon in a glass of warm water can soothe the inflammation in your it's and repair to take some of the risk out of driving a classic find out more Oh but that acid isn't going to kill off viruses for you and it might actually irritate your throat which can be very sensitive delicate at this point during you know so just stick with the warm saltwater instead and this can also be you know there's cough drops in those help but the they do have medicine in you ah I the candy of Halloween than the overindulgence of Thanksgiving all those Christmas Hanukkah what have you dealt with me in the studio not as in the royal we I am speaking about you are listening to I guess the things you can do you cookies and deserts than wine and everything else so soup isn't going to do you any harm it's going to actually bolster probably your healing wrote improving symptoms like cough pain and post nasal drip Some folks swear that gargling or girling with or drinking apple cider vinegar is the way to go central heat we just had a woodstove which can really dry out the air in your house so she always had a pot of boiling water on the Woodstove to help hydrate the air but you a hot shower can help just you know be careful is if you're gonNA stick your face over steam be careful you don't burn yourself there there's a d and just get humidifier and it can help with that it can it can potentially loosen up that mucus buildup now if you want to put some in your soup pay can't hurt and who cares if it doesn't really help if you are a fan of garlic which my family is then you also want to keep everything moist maybe with a humidifier actually this was something that my mom did growing up because I grew up without a cautious as to how much you're putting your body so maybe alternating between the cough drop and the gargling of the worm saltwater could be a good balance welcome to the podcast in combat or talking about I do a Netti pot on a regular basis and it can be gross it can be gross to see what comes out of your sinuses but it can be so in that and then there is the sinus rinse which is gross but I do it all the time again with Sinusitis and the SINUS infections that I've had the F._D._A. This product is not intended to diagnose treat cure or prevent any disease for those antibiotics okay so you have a cold and you've tried various things are there cold medicines are there void replacing your cold viruses with brain eating amoeba 's that sounds really scary that sounds made up over the counter remedies that you should try well cold medicine can't cure you there's no cure for the common cold as we know but -biotics is the next is the next tip which a lot of us just want to get the antibiotics so we can feel better right on your gut health if you are taking an antibiotic you want to take a probiotic or eat yogurt or what have you I oh that in my vast experience of antibiotics there for a while I was on a lot of them before my sinus surgery I can't take Augmentin because Mrs as we speak usually use filtered water but occasionally I get lazy well keep in mind also that if you obsessively rinse your sinuses multiple times yeah so you should you should make a well you should make sure you're using filtered water too a lot better after I do that and you know your sinuses can hold can trap a lot of allergens and stuff so it helps to rinse them out are caused by viruses antibiotics kill bacteria so they're not really going to help anyway but if you have a sinus infection or strep throat or you think and so you you know you wanna be cautious about automatically jumping you do then you should definitely go to the doctor and be tested and see if you have that antibiotics will help in those cases but today you will likely just end up irritating the tissues in your nose which can make you feel worse I usually do it in the morning and before I go to bed do not run for the antibody I and I will not take it so whenever I go to a new doctor or if I go to the urgent care they say Oh let's put you on an antibiotic I please please not augmented anything ah but you don't want to do it every time you get sick and if you get sick multiple times in the winter well usually you sick and you go to the doctor or urgent care or what have you they're just going to say well it's viral there's nothing we can do about it because most colds and flus are but that because it's bad enough to have a sinus infection into feel crummy and just feel horrible and then to get well diarrhea on top of it is really not fun Ah of course you know if you take too many then you can get antibiotic resistant stuff and that's not good but also antibiotics can be really hard can help to alleviate the symptoms if you have a brand or a formula that seems to work for you then go ahead and use that but also it oh my my tummy does not like it I I can have reactions to certain other antibiotics as well but Augmentin is the Oh wow so use filtered water distilled water wit what have you don't just use the tap water now I'm scared of the brain eating at me booze that might be in my silence Hyphen Hydra mean in them and then those can cause sleepiness so definitely know what you're taking definitely be cautious until you know how your body's going to react because who can take something and then have an unforeseen consequence if you don't know your reaction your body's reaction to over the counter medicine let's go ahead it and then all that stuff comes out and I can feel my sinuses you expelling their gunk gross but satisfying and it feels oh that sometimes those can have side effects as well you know if it's something that you something that has like pseudo-ephedrine in it that can that can get it and take our second break the podcast and when we come back we will wrap up this episode so stay tuned you're listening to the GMC AMC PEOPLE UP I it makes my scalp feel like it's crawling or you know if you take it too late in the day you won't sleep but then there's other things that have like maybe the product is not intended to diagnose treat cure or prevent any disease tired of searching the vast jungle of podcasts now listen close off and wellness podcast and I will be right back it's cutting into your exercise time it stabbing you in the back nine and it's attacking your peace of mind signed it's pain and it's getting in between you nothing less than a podcast list with enlist hours of podcast covered from news sports music Welcome back all of us on facebook and twitter and download on itunes soundcloud and Google play guaranteed to build that podcast whatever it may be visit us at www dot g s MC podcast dot com out things you can do if you get a cold and and or flu these are some net more natural remedies as opposed to the Ooh personally because everyone reacts a little bit differently most people many people whatever swear by vitamin C. and who's anti-biotics or the over the counter but there are some over the counter that can help to alleviate your symptoms just know what the possible side effects might be for you you know they just I know someone who eats lemons oranges when he gets sick and he swears up and down that that that that helps no get rid of your cold I say it can't hurt and in it does do some good to boost your vitamin C these are there's some inconclusively about whether vitamin C actually helps shorten your cold or that zinc lozenges may help you get better if you start taking them regularly within twenty four hours of your first symptoms it's not clear whether they actually help you fight off the it neither does ECHINACEA this this article says but again if you drink echinacea tea or something and that makes you feel better than again can't hurt this does I just couldn't do it lemon in my in my tea or my water with honey sure straight lemon not so much but I'm cold gets worse after that I don't know if that's true but that has been my experience and that is kind of how I feel so for you I have tried the ink lodge lozenges before and sometimes I feel like they along with the vitamin C. and the ECHINACEA Paris or simply reduce inflammation in your throat and this zinc may nasal swabs just seem to kill your sense of smell but maybe the works he says it it soothes his sore throat I can't do it I tried wants to just bite into the lemon and they were actually Meyer Lemons which are sweeter than regular lemons who do whatever you can to minimize the number of times you get sick during the winter so that brings me to my question of what are your tried and true remedies don't don't really work they feel like they might be working for a day or two and then it just feels like it flu shot it's not going to necessarily it's not going to help you with the common cold but you don't want to get the common cold and the flu during the winter you want get your flu shot I'm not going to swear you that wasn't me swearing at you that was the article swearing at me the reader who read it to you but yes Gogi if you want to give it a shot can't hurt you know your feet and smell like Menthol vicks vapor rub can't can't be too bad why do I try to get sleep doesn't always work do as I said the hot toddy in terms of Laryngitis but I'm not encouraging you to drink you do on the bottom of my feet putting socks on going to bed and the coughing less could be a placebo I don't know but it seems to work so see I do have ECHINACEA tea which I sometimes drink just depends on how I'm feeling I do the sinus Rennes but I do that on a regular basis anyway and what else seems to work I have mentioned actually this article kind of covered everything that I do in terms of you know I drink a lot of tea drink a lot of orange juice for preventing yourself from getting sick or then what do you take for comfort or for alleviate symptoms or as I was sitting on the couch watching TV I need to ask her about that if you have had that experience let me know let me know that I'm not alone in the world and this memory bring us a cup of Hot Jello I did ask her about that and find out why she used to do that I remember

Dating, Narcissism, and Sex before Commitment

"It's cutting into your exercise time it stabbing you in the back nine and relief with active OTC ingredients plus the added benefits of THC free heme boil get be back in the studio live and not a rerun And end up on my couch heartbroken reactivated This is a call in show everybody's so please feel free to call in three two three offices a Home Office an office on Ventura healing then please contact us and we will definitely assign Lo fi so please contact us regarding him and APP is something that I created as a way to unravel often this encoding which is non verbal verbal messages being told up spy this psycho virus generates in our brain and just keeps the so on and human disconnect which is something physical abuse sexual abuse emotional abuse down and regroup on A new shift out the mind map is designed to address the past which is the I'm part of the Mind Map represents the paradigm shift into with the narcissist and dating and how to recognize if you're dating a narcissist self-centered and demeaning and devaluing and using your energy be our specialty we have a lot of people on the team who work with narcissistic arm every two weeks and you can contact the clinic regarding that and make sure that you're not caught in a bad web of up and then exit and take let's use the word rip a lot of people out there who have suffered by entering into relationships with and nod highway to connect with another human being to form five Fritz flags and blind spots in dating a narcissist and this if divorced couples or divorcing couples and she has experiences it in fact one study showed that there likable veneer was only person and put putting them up on a pedestal I've had a number of clients who claim later insight these clients admitted that there were signs that they'd overlooked so might be very good looking and they may have an awful lot to offer socially something good we will make mental excuses for them the waiter very well or they they they fire their housekeeper. Unusually the human desires very strong to have something scenarios off start unraveling so arleen Lancer says sometimes doesn't reveal itself for it takes a while for them to catch on but there are always look when the chemistry is really strong the greater the physical attraction and sexual sexual energy literally op few skates mentally and emotional energy into Block are rational thinking and the body called oxytocin which is the bonding hormone and then Opon- hormones are released and particularly with women younger bond chemically with a man it it also happens with Manson John Easier with women so definitely we don't WanNa have look a lot the second is seduction which is similar to early they may be adept listeners and communicators or a lure you with flattery spit in this case all of this is a an example of an act or awesome seeing why people might be vulnerable so as I say in my bowl via pdf form you can also order it on Amazon and and you can go through this process via the the video series controlling if parents use their children as objects very very familiar and familial because they have overlooked the signs because they the ship the reason I'm GonNa talk about casual sex sex without find that they're treated casually and easily disposable manner so if we are raised by parents who objectify which is defined by a parent or parents put Lee bond and form the healthy human psyche and I'm referring now daily breastfeeding stay at home mom I'm and do her breastfeeding and mirroring her baby this does not happen than the the plan B. would be he does for you and if they don't do for you then they're something that I elaborate on in the mind map video series and the phenomenon just pass on the one you have and invest in the better ups and the the third aspect of a blind spot when dating narcissist full multi-talented as I mentioned and it's easy to idealize that on once and wow when I married to this man or woman while I'm going to have all A. B. Enhanced by it so you could see that it's more about what they can successful I think there's a a sense of of obviously intimacy with the person that we're with when we're looking at them ask people who have low self esteem and are codependent have more oh ensign please pick up the phone get on the couch and dial in at move on with the mind map and see what happens to people who are raised not who can you be for me how can you serve me how can a way of being in the world so therefore they will I'm never enough or let me see what I at the expense of themselves so in a sense the groom already they may test them for a how compliant they are how quick they're art and perhaps even throw in a few lives here and there about their income or what you could see how these people are could be prone and hello you are on the couch Hi Michelle have we spoken before now we haven't you and what is attracting you to this particular show and and I I in my late forties and I tend to nick and I begin to romantic relationships track let's track your family of origin and when you say that you using the putting themselves before their own children all very attractive people my dad was my dad was a professional and my mother and my stepmother's were all you know very very attractive east by okay so the two that was your mother and then your stepmother our own right my mom my mom left me she actually online that they know she was can't get any more focused and discarding the only child and then my dad was was pretty much I'd say he was a womanizer my intelligence I'm just would attack me on pretty much hey shis they cheat they lie you know there's always another woman in the picture or over time as the article that I was referring to points out does take about looking guy so I mean I know that there they can attract other women but initially at progressive that's when I start to see the red flags dates and dates probably pretty sad to and of course I'm in my late forties so it's going to be hard to break now but I find that I'm not I would go for a few years and not date or being a relationship because I don't find anything coming okay so Le Let's make a distinction between a male that they're evolved people and it doesn't mean that they're psychologically on is the man who has character a male piece which is their character okay system because everything was falling apart people were cheating love was built on okay so what if you met a man who she to bond with a wonderful goodhearted uh-huh synergy synergy synergy is the one plus how what do you think would you think would you like a man like that believed in monogamy and believed in family and believed in keeping the energy it you know if honest the Judy I to nominate I call it the W. t. f. the what the Freud he is offered up correct before commitment yes sure for this man before this man has her heart and mind I that's a good question here father correct who was a cheater Ya and her before the commitment was there perhaps they have familiar box probably dynamic so if your Orgasm Inc to that dynamic if your orgasm Shen you might even fantasize him with other women and that might be stimulating and it becomes the toxic bond you see that makes a lot of okay first few years of life and we have to take inventory on all of comes conclusions about yourself you might conclude that you're not important enough can you begin to see that we have within us these horrible core beliefs makes reprint which is our parents we come out having old game once again in the what the foot manner so what do we do we I keep saying this again and again in my book and on other shows too it's not that we're stupid acceptance except that if we're trying to find it with the because we have met our our imago match so to speak the happens correct okay and so the said a mouthful here but go ahead and ask questions there's unfinished business there the unfinished businesses your little you and so you're GONNA get plan B Daddy okay time around this person who is the popular good looking right and and what's the likelihood of that happening ship I will call it not a relationship there probably in relation do we get out of this horrendous W T.F we've got to go back to the 'cause mind map is is designed to do is to take us back so that we could doc mind body and soul and then then act closing our legs and not allowing men or women I'm we're not sardines were not built to be throwaways we can't just part is the bond that is now created to them okay maybe her woman on the side and maybe another third or fourth one and then that way part of that Orchestra Martha Zyu- to be part of aside over this I've had people in my office who couldn't stand they didn't know that they're they're boyfriend was actually married or they didn't know that person very well because why I too quickly idealize the person got sexually involved bond a hostage situation because it's very very hard to get out of a situation where your body and your sexuality but they're not there they can leave in a heartbeat withdraw going through something like this okay and it's so it's so it it it really it really should be a crime doctor Judy I think that sex can be fun S- casual it's just not a sport he no I know your father was a an athlete but where we want to merge our mind body and soul with somebody we're letting were we feel that we can feel safe and let go and beloved and it's okay sat textile my girlfriend's phone or my boyfriend's phone what that I mean this is these are the things that come up in the therapeutic repaired the trust and to grow through it and and and they can I'm not saying much paranoia gets built up around it so yes I think it console and deliberately lied to them and manipulate them and betray nothing worse there's a hide rather have my wallet stolen it's too painful so what do we do about point where we lose our taste buds for these people that's the when other people think that they're they're amazing I think they're you're absolutely right right and it takes two to tango so the here's The codependent So why does that happen just like what I said a and made you I'm sure feel like you are disposable so a contact me at the psychological healing center please do okay and for everyone and we try to stay fee sensitive understand that by your participating in this system gone say to no no to them your self esteem I promise us going to start going okay so start defining what a man is in your head a man is not a cheater man is vigil who who has a lot of issues with me and the audience good night bye-bye any kind of a judgmental place it's it's it's my experiences a psychologist to get close to be tossed aside were not made to open up them if you want to know if your enough for somebody or if they're not for you what about getting to know coach and who am I speaking to high blake how you no I called in a couple of times okay nice to talk to you so what what working for me I I deal with a lot in narcissist and just you don't take advantage and and then I really had a lot of problems with a few of like you know I know of and you know get really you know okay so if you don't go his way then he's GonNa antagonize and scratch some stuff so it took me eight hours to fix it so when he came over as you can't you don't mind Blake 'cause the topic is dating and casual sex and narcissism in who will use an abuse and toss aside and casualising okay you know they're all nice and everything and then next so if you're he if you're if you're getting date somebody exclusively but I think fair exchange of YOU WANNA concentrate on one individual it would be nice to know that you're on teas that result from casual sex Good looking people might they use they use their looks to get a on somebody they pick the right they groom Missa here I can I can use this person and powerless to to do anything because the other 'cause they're so under orgasms perhaps with the person so it's really difficult at that stage to does and so on when we are mixing our our bodies so there are health reasons and then also there are psychological reasons has a man because I know we usually think of women is

Best Spa Metric To Measure Real-Time Impact #617

"In today's metric moment we take a look at what might be the best real time. Indicator of impact re-bookings bookings booking percentage is expressed believe it or not as a percentage and is calculated by taking the total number of guests who've re booked divided by the total number of guests. Now to be clear a re booking is something that for me happens immediately following the treatment not something that happens a week or two later. If the guests has revoked a week or two later that would be a separate. KPI which we talk about As a repeat guest or return guest but a re booking guest is one that has been so impressed with the service that they received. Today they WANNA make another booking right now. And that's why I say it's a great real time in real time. Measurement of the Impact August distraction because they've been happy with their service. They've revoked if they weren't they might going to think about it now. In terms of benchmarking. It's a hard thing to do because if you're in a city hotel for example way you've got guests only staying for one or two days. It's a little bit harder to get them to re book whereas if you've got guests staying for week then you hope that you could get a revoking out of him so it's a really hard thing to benchmark but what I would like to know from you guys. Is this something that you track. Is it a metric that you measure and if so how do you define a re booking guest. Is it someone on that has revoked before they left the spot or is it someone that read books within twenty four hours or forty eight hours. What's the cutoff? Mark that you use for defining revoking guest and do you think like do that. It's a pretty good measurement of real time impact. All right. That's it for that. I thank you for tuning in and I will be back again in tomorrow.

Feelings missing the gut, this time

"Welcome to extra extra presented by sports. I'm your host Vince. Douglas Gregory no filter a recent survey. Who I just. I just got to see it. I just have to say it because if I don't say you will not believe me if I don't say it out. Lau that is if I don't say it aloud it would not be believed even though even though I could care less about the believability of it I could I could. I shoot and I possibly would. How ever have how ever it needs to be needs to be said? I'll allow it needs to be said out loud. It needs to be said allow for everyone to hear it just needs to is just something that has to be done. It's just one of those things that has to be done. I am a little under the weather. No definitely not sick indefinitely. Not Ill even though no. I wasn't I wasn't going to be a go. I wasn't going to be good that that wasn't going to be good so I just let it. I just let just let the time go by that time. Space continuing go by inches. And just let it. Just let go. I'm a little tired. Definitely not under the weather definitely not sick. Not even ill. Not even you reason being reason being when I usually get Jhirad year. I'm getting into Jira because I got places to go. I got people to see. I got things to do or some combination of the two or multiple choice answers or some combination of other answers. That's not that that has not been included for obvious reasons. I'm trying to get somewhere but in the process of getting somewhere. I want to be entertained. I want some kind of entertainment some form of entertainment in the form of entertaining entertainment in a way of being entertained at this moment. Since it's only me within the G Ri- It is to go with the flow or putting putting my Music put in my music saying dance. Make my chest pop and do all the things that make me happy and by now you should know all the things or most of most of the things that make me happy and singing and dancing in the G. Ride is one of the things but I. I don't. I don't think that some of the news. I don't think that any of the noobs have have heard me have heard me say I've been singing and dancing and the g right and making my chest pop and just having a good old time. Some of the news haven't heard that yet and I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Good some time or how to do it and I do it with a smile on my face because come on the smile is where it's at so I'm delivering his bad news. There will be there'd be no me saying that I was singing dancing in a g ride and having such a good grand time and basically doing the things that make me feel good and doing the things that make me happy. And I wasn't even doing the happy dance off in Deji ride see and here is the thing for whatever reason. I just can't quite place my finger on it I just can't figure it out right now. I just I just don't know and this is where intuition and gut feeling supposed to kick in and help me out. But intuition and gut feeling it hasn't kicked in and it hasn't helped me out. I've just been thinking about a lot of things I've been thinking about a lot of stuff. And these things that have been thinking about these items. Been Thinking about these ideas that I've been thinking about all of these moments that I've been pondering all of these that. I've just been waiting to let go and release Lego and release. Well here is. Here's another thing his two here's three. Here's four here's five key town but I don't believe I can count hard and five. I don't believe I can count higher than five or I can. I can recall. I couldn't recall. Tell you what the number is at the Fi- right about now? It's it's one of those moments is one of those moments. I'm still trying to figure it out it. I'm thinking about it intuition and gut feelings. They left me to fend for myself. They've left me alone to do as I must is. Not a real good feeling. It's not a real good feeling because I was able to just go about my routine and you know I feel about routine you know. How Filipino routines? So I was able to go about my daily that means they end out or every day you pick you pick your venture you pick your own adventure because there's nothing like me just depending on my intuition depending on my gut feeling. Tis just get me throughout the day to just get me throughout the week. There's just get meet throughout the month. Just give me throughout the year and so forth. Just make it possible. Just make everything a little bit easier. Just helped me out. Not necessarily the pather least resistance. Just give me give me an advantage. Give me an advantage when it comes to the daily. Give me l. leg up when it comes to a routine. Just help me out. Help me out please. When it comes to everything intuition and gut feeling. I don't know I don't know where it's where it's where cons where when he comes back or anything to that but I'm finished for myself right now and I'm using my mind thinking logics and processes and all of that stuff and let me tell you this. I didn't think it was so hard to do. I didn't know thanking was so hard to do. I've been thinking so much that I actually slept for more than eight hours and when I get more than eight hours of sleep is like I got no sleep whatsoever. And if he's got no sleep whatsoever. Everything's just messed up. From the beginning to the end from beginning to end everything is just messed up when I get more than eight hours asleep and I notice. Sounds like a pariah. Bloom burswood problem that is and let me just beat a one to tell you is well known that anytime. I get over. Eight hours of sleep is not good. It's not good for me. It's not good for anyone and it's definitely not good for everything it makes me feel like singing dancing in a g ride and depending on intuition and gut feelings. I don't think the I don't think I don't they come back around. I don't think they awaken. I don't think they woke like me. I don't think they are all of the other things that are associated with being awake wakened woke. I can keep going. I can keep going. And what boy bowl wha-wha-wha-wha-wha-wha-wha-what pushed me to this. What were what pushed me. Just me to this in push me in a direction is I left something behind. I love something behind. A my intuition and gut feelings didn't kick me in and let me realize or let me know something was afoot. Something was about something was up. Something was not right. Something was incorrect. Something was abnormal. Something different. Something was peculiar. Something was just totally totally. Strange intuition and gut feel unusually alert alert. Alert something's wrong. Something's wrong well intuition and fill. It didn't alert me to any any any of that any of that. And I guess that's understandable why I can just get into cheap rod and not saying and not dads and not make my chest pop. I just got in. My jira turned on the radio. The radio listen. Listen listen listen to the news now. The News I don't do the radio you can go and fine and figure out which store document points to the. I don't do the radio but I'll give you a headstart. I don't do radio so from from this point on if you want to know the in depth detail story of that. Hey choose your chooser journey. Choose your journey or pick your own adventure or ignore. It's cheap. It costs nothing. I don't do I just don't I don't do the radio I don't do too radio. The radio has commercials commercials. Something I want to avoid commercials is something I don't care for. Commercials is the root of all evil. And I stand behind that one million percent in. Please tell me that. There's no such thing as one million percent please please. I am here all day every day for this and that is the thing. Intuition cut feeling was Roy way off or just not around and just letting me down not singing dancing in Jhirad and more important or most importantly I listening to the radio. I am listening to the radio in G. Rye and I don't do too radio. I don't do commercials and there's a lot of things I don't do either foot but for the sake but for the sake of time for the sake of my my my capacity and the sake of your capacities in the capacities of a capacities. Time has been save. Time has been saved. I don't do radio. I don't do commercials but sets the sense. I've been thinking more often than not. I've actually been getting sleeps on Donovan. Team no sleep. Things aren't keeping me up at night. I'm actually getting breast and I'M NOT SAYING AND DANCING. And the G ride or making my chest pub or doing a happy dance or doing the things that make me feel good because if you can't do the things that make you feel do you show should be the things to make you feel bad or make other people feel bad. Psa P. S. You go ahead and put that on Grand. Put that on a cookie or to each his own to each's oh. I want to just get back to singing dancing in a Jhirad. I feel I feel as though at the intuition and gut fill and have to get back on track though because this is not. This isn't the only occasion isn't the only thing that got me. I'm impasse rattle. I'm on thin. Ice A MON steets on thin ICE SKATES STRANA. Stay away from the AOL train because in the snow you just don't know you just don't know you just don't you just don't know and I just did no and I don't know when I leave behind on leaving something behind but right right win. I'm about to leave something behind. Right win them about the walkout and something has been left behind. There's just the little there's just something it just something within. There's just something deep deep deep within just it's like a it's like a. It's like a feeling a feeling undescribable feeling. Just deep inside is undescribable fillings. Let me like wait a minute. Something's a little bit off something a little bit off and not right and right before about the leaves something right before. I'm about to walk away right before about to just continue doing what I need to do. The bills and whistles alarms and everything goes off and intuition and gut feelings. Let me know wake up you about the Lee something behind and here. We are intuition and gut feelings. You you didn't do that for me. You do for me but I don't I still don't want I still don't want smoke. I still don't want no drama. Definitely definitely not not what the chaotic moment right. Now I'm I'm just trying to. I'm just trying to figure some things out. I'm just trying to figure some things out and get back on the right foot and just make life a little bit easier and I need the help of intuition and gut feelings and better yet. I want to sing dance. And the Giradi make my chest pop. 'cause I wanna be able to tell the news of the year the news of the decade that. I'm just saying I'm dancing. I'm off in a G I and everything is all to the. Gd everything is you know that would be something. I'd like to do in this foreseeable future but the way things are looking. I'M NOT GONNA hold my breath but one can hope.

Oh I'm actually getting ready to go to Europe and have my vow renewal this weekend so this one actually came at a perfect time for a break this week's tip is back now that used to frustrate me when I was working as his director because I wanted his feedback right away the longer need to shut it down sleep wake up the next morning designs look different in different light figuratively and literally started art directing I had a supervisor that I would take designs to and regardless of how long or short my deadline so living with your designed for awhile can give you the opportunity to step away and come back at it with fresh eyes instead of sitting with it for eight hours and everyone on brand new C. welcomed designed to Tuesday's Today's tip is number forty four live with it so when I first in less than I realized that living with it means that you need to step away from it for a while sometimes I would even recommend if you have the opportunity nine was to get them to him I always had to leave it on his desk and he would tell me he would have to live with it for a while before he would give me any is called live with it and I hope that you guys get something out of it and enjoy your week here this yeah that's good enough so I recommend that you try it out live with your designs for awhile sleep on it come back and see how that works out for you so thanks her I was working and honestly the more I've been working for myself. I've realized that it's actually really important to do that so he taught me an import to my old supervisor for giving me that awesome tip to live with as an art director now. Today's tip. is to plan something fun for Sunday night. I know that it's easy to hate Mondays. Even if you really like your job, you probably don't love commuting. You don't like showing up on Monday morning to an inbox with four hundred thirty seven unread messages. It makes sense, but the problem. Is that many of us? Don't start thinking about Monday on Monday morning. Instead we'd like to get a jump on things so somewhere around mid afternoon on Sunday. We start remembering that Monday is looming on the next spot on our calendars. Suddenly we're out of weekend mode. We're already focused on the next deadline. These Sunday. Night. Blues can burn a huge chunk of time. If you start worrying about Monday at three PM Sunday. You go to bed at eleven pm Sunday. That's eight hours of weekend time that you've just lost. I don't know about you, but I think we can. Time is too precious to throw away eight hours. That's the equivalent of a whole workday. or a really good night's sleep. We're not just talking a few minutes. Fortunately there's a simple cure for the Sunday night blues. Plan something fun for Sunday night. A few days before your weekend starts maybe on Wednesday or Thursday or whenever you're listening to this, think about a Sunday night activity that you really enjoy. Maybe it seeing a movie with your family. Maybe, it's taking your spouse that fun new restaurant. You keep saying you WANNA try. If you call before the weekend starts. You'll probably be able to get a reservation. You could invite a few families over for a potluck dinner. You could plan to go for a walk somewhere beautiful and time your excursion to take in the sunset. I know Sunday is a school in work nights, so you probably don't want to go to crazy. Maybe skip the Tequila shots, and you probably want to end things on the early side. But. Here's the magic of Sunday night plans. When you've got something wonderful on the calendar for Sunday night. You'll spend Sunday afternoon looking forward to your fun. You'll be so excited about your friends coming over to make pizza that you won't start thinking about your inbox until after they leave and by that point, it will be time to go to bed anyway. Just like that your Sunday night, blues take up less than an hour. Rather than the entire day. To take a few minutes today and think about what fun you could plan for Sunday night. I'd love to hear what you COUPLA. As always you can email me at before breakfast podcast at iheartmedia dot com. If. He'd be willing to let me read your on the air. Just make a note of that. Top 3 Tactics For Engaging With Influencers

Top 3 Tactics For Engaging With Influencers

"Here's my top three tactics for engaging with influences. The experts will generally tell you that the best way to get noticed by influences is to engage with them on social like comment, shave great, and to be clear when I'm talking influences. I'm not talking about a Kardashian what I'm talking about is people who have influence or impact in your industry segment, your field of expertise whose attention you wanna get. So I wanted to share my top three tactics in reverse order. So number three on the least is to add depth to the conversation that might be an opposing comment might be linked to research might be linked to another article on topic around the topic is being discussed perfectly, not linked to your own site, because that comes across bit spammy, but basically, adding dip them color to the conversation. I think that's a really great tactic for getting noticed by the influence of who's made that initial post number two tactic is to add your personal story. So jumping with your own personal experience, your own personal story. As it relates to the topic at hand. And if you followed my content on linked in for wall, while JoAnne foods democracy, someone who does that quite Wrigley on my stuff is, she will often jump in and share her personal experience and that stuff resonates, because we like stories we notice, and we listen and we hear stories, and so it works for both the person making the post for the influence and it also works for the other people listening, the other people in the comments who following, along with the conversation. But my number one tactic is whatever you're going to do with your telling stories with your ending dips, and color, what you need to do. Do it a couple of days later, and the reason I say that is because most of these big influence talk, folks, get flooded with comments in there in the post and the reason that that's happening. I think is because we're telling people to engage with influences. They jump in early in the hope that they'll get noticed. Maybe that person is still on linking the time still in on Instagram. And so they might get noticed, and they might get. Comment. And you might but oftentimes if that person is a series influence than they're not going to be the very long they might jump in jump out. And so it's a very short window unless you get that window. You're gonna get lost in the flood of noise. That comes thereafter for the next twenty four forty eight hours and so- commenting or posting or sharing it later on a couple of days later. Maybe is gonna get you noticed because they might be notification for the person who made the post, it's more likely I think, to get that person to jump back into the comments and say, hey, why is this post resonating after two or three days? And so I think they're more likely maybe gone. Read your actual post and see what you said. And the third thing that works on that particular tactic is that if someone else's might a comb, a couple of days earlier than they're probably going to get a notification that you've just made another comment on a story that they've been interesting, and so it kinda works on those three different levels now to be clear tech, number two, telling you stories and tech number. Three adding dips to the conversation fantastic tactics to use with my content. Encourage you to do that tech. Number one, though, do it with me. He's and the reason I say that is because the el-gharib actually benefits us if you getting if we get engagement earlier on in most of these social platforms, they will push the content up that gets engagement early and, and a lot of it. And so, by giving you this particular tactic, then actually hurting myself if you apply to me. But in my defense, you don't really need to do that. Because as you've noticed on my content, I pretty much jump into the comments all the time I will pretty much respond to anyone who's got something to say, as long as it's not too spammy, of course. So so you don't need to do the number one tactic with me. But I would encourage you to do it with other people. You're trying to get the attention. So tech number one two and three two and three for everybody else. And for me and number one, only for everybody else, please not for me or that's today. Thanks for tuning and I will be back again tomorrow. Oh, so yeah.
