That's the race that pitted incumbent Democrat David Trump against Republican challenger Neil parrot. WTO's Kate Ryan has the story. The Associated Press called the race and declared Democrat David trone the winner, so trone will be able to keep his House seat in Maryland's 6th congressional district. In a tweet trone thanked parrot, the Maryland state delegate, who launched a campaign to flip the seat from Democrat to Republican and nearly did it. The district they were battling for had been redrawn, removing some of deep blue Montgomery county and making the race much more competitive. In a statement released after conceding, parrott said while the race didn't turn out the way he'd hoped, it wasn't a defeat and wasn't the end because the GOP and western Maryland in his words was united. Recently, mister Trump's been attacking a former ally, Florida governor Ron DeSantis, amid speculation that he will be running for The White House too.
