"Six thirteen hundred missing three hundred more than when the day began governor elect Gavin Newsom point past the point people have had enough of this. And we gotta deal with this pet on. I mean governors done mazing job with the legislature last couple of years we've invested in a record amount of money into our efforts, but we have to do more. And this clearly underscores the region visited by the president and governor while in California, the president also weighing in on reports the CIA now has evidence the killing of journalists. Jamaica Shoghi was ordered by the Saudi Crown prince the killing of a journalist, very very bad situation kashogi and somebody who's respected it should never have happened. And we'll be having a very full report over the next two days probably Monday or Tuesday the governor's race in Florida now over. A democrat Andrew gillum reconciling the race after it was clear. The recount would not make a difference Gillam making the statement alongside his wife RJ RJ. I wanted to take a moment to congratulate Mr. de Santa's on becoming the next governor of the state of Florida still undecided on the Senate side. But not looking good for incumbent Democrat Bill Nelson and under vote is when someone skips a race on the ballots and Broward County had a very high number of under votes in the Senate race statistically weight greater than it should have more than thirty thousand in a heavily democratic county. It is reasonable to think that most of those would have been for a democratic candidate. And Bill Nelson was hoping that maybe half of them. If manually inspected would reveal votes for him enough to turn the election in his favor. It didn't happen that is FOX does Edmund Brown that vote to recounted by machine and by hand,.

"Thursday, October eleventh of two thousand eighteen. Jim van Horne off for the rest of the week. He and I are back together. When Monday rolls around. We hope you'll be with a stew when that happens. Glad you're with us today. Got a lot of stuff to get to today here on the show, I'll get to the rundown in just a second. But I was just reading just a little while ago. Two people killed because of hurricane Michael which bluish shore yesterday in in moved fast. It didn't sit and soak in one area, but it looks like the areas that it did hit yesterday. Just from some of the video. I watched. While the the the livestream for still active yesterday before they lost them and even some video at that. People took in posted. I mean, this this thing was. What what was it? It was called a monster yesterday. Having this thing was nothing to play around with two people are dead, including an eleven year old in Georgia. And which of course, for this thing when it blew through the Florida panhandle yesterday yesterday evening, moved into central Georgia and dumped a lot of rain. And like I said it's blowing through pretty hard. It just didn't sit in one area and just drop a bunch of water, but it did bring in a storm surge. You know, we talked yesterday about the high storm surges as high as some houses, and I saw some videos that I saw a course videos of the damage of what a lotta people call ground zero in Mexico beach. I saw. Just to you know, the sadness at a storm like that brings in just turning over people's lives. You know, when it blows shoreline that it was within very very close to being a cat five to by the way yesterday. When it hit inland when it came into the Florida, panhandle. It was very very close to that didn't quite have the measured by wind speed. And it wasn't quite there. Wind speed wise, but it was close enough. And is there really when you start talking about winds of that speed? Is there really that big of a difference? Does anyone really care? No, no. They don't. I have been reading a lot in hearing a lot I mainly reading. Of just response to this. Some frustration of officials of people not taking the storm a serious, maybe as they should have until possibly it was too late. Some those some of those dismissed it, and you know, part of that is I have to blame mainstream media on that. We've been talking about this hurricane all week. We really focused a lot on yesterday because I knew people personally from the Memphis area that had headed down there for fall break. And and was using that for vacation. But I think if you're actually living down there and affected by it. Until you actually started seeing what it was doing because the mainstream media can just I mean, they blow everything out of proportion. I mean, every storm is the biggest storm ever every storm is the most devastating storm ever every store was one of those that's going to cause the most. And then of course, they get into the political side of it. Well, you know, and and it's already happened. Chris Matthews yesterday, blaming global warming. I guess you're right to using that instead of climate change he makes it climate change. But it's one of the two global warming or climate change has to do with this. Because it's why it grew so big, and it's why it was such a fierce storm, which you knew that was coming at the beginning of the week is this thing was bearing down and through the Gulf and into the panhandle Mexico. I'm sorry. The panhandle of Florida. So. It's to be expected. But I think a lotta people just tend to and I don't know if ignores the right word, but the media just go nuts over every storm that comes through. And don't get me wrong. They should all be taken seriously. And this was one we said very early in the week could grow could get big and be taken seriously. And it looks like a lot of folks did and it may have saved their lives, and there's some areas today again that definitely paid the consequences of them look like war zones. Some of the pictures that I've seen. We'll talk with Edmund Brown next hour about the latest on this storm in wearied has moved to in who is dumping rain on today between now and then we've got a very busy show in store for you on this Thursday morning. And we're glad again Kasit. Always glad to have you hanging out with us. And listen to what we have on coming up in our next segment, you know, yesterday, I had the millennial cheese story. Remember how millennials supposedly ruining ruining cheese? Now, there's a new story that's out that says, they're they're killing divorce. Okay. We'll find out exactly what that means. Dr Christopher Metzler is going to be with us. He's an author. He's a doctor. He's an analyst of politics, and we'll find out exactly what he means by that sev- six forty three this morning. "WalMart and a couple of grocery stores a lot of people on our clearing the now of water and food. Batteries, and and the like because they're going to need them. And and people are really stocking up stocking up with the intent of staying and riding it out. Well. Some people, you know, the people who are gonna stay realize that they may have to endure no power and no access to running water and no access to open stores. So they they are starting up in order to stay some people that are leaving are stocking up. So they can have things with them in the car. Chase get stranded on the highway traffic jams. Just because you're making it to a hotel somewhere that maybe Santa fifteen miles inland. Doesn't mean you're going to have access to restaurants and things like that. They know they're going to need to have food supplies, put them in their hotel rooms are the roads pretty pack. There's people get out of town. Been driving around on our. There is a lot of traffic. But as everyone leaves at the same time, the traffic will get worse. And I think that's why we started to see your vacuum early. Because if you do it that way, you do limit the amount of congestion on the streets in the highway. So a lot of media down there. You guys got a place to stay at the hotel shutting down kicking you out? No, we're we're pretty well. I mean, look. Anyone else for? We're stocked with what we need to keep ourselves. Hydrated.
