"Sign up. All right, let's get back to some of the big stakes coming up this weekend. There are two graded stakes on the card at woodbine tomorrow, the two year olds on display, both south of the board, both here in the states and both in Canada as well. Race three tomorrow would mine is the grade three gray stakes. $150,000 on the line two year olds, mile and a 16th on the main track. So 7 were entered in this race. However, three of the 7 are Phillies that would be running against the boys. So some of them have cross entered for both the grade three gray, race number three, which is open to any two year old, or the grade three mazarin, which is just for the two year old Phillies as race number ten. And it's kind of important to check the scratches before you go forward with this race. All things being equal, if all 7 runners go in the gray, which I do not expect to happen. The favorite will be number 5 Hal, who's won very impressively at 7 furlongs in both of his career starts. One against maiden special weight competition, one in the display on November the 5th, both efforts coming from just a few lengths off the pace to get up and win going away. He's by accelerate out of a pure prize mayor. I don't see any reason that he couldn't handle a little bit of extra distance. There's a Philly entered against the boy's name renegade rebel who looked really good the first time that she stretched out to a mile and a 16th last time out. It was her best race speed figure wise, it was her best race, just running line wise as she went on to the front and drew off by 7 links. My guess is she will not be going in the gray stakes. Her regular writer Rafael Hernandez is off and riding number one mo tourist instead, but if you look ahead to the mazarin renegade rebels listed there with her regular rider Rafael Hernandez. So my guess is that Hernandez probably knew because by the way, on paper, it doesn't look like mo tourist is anywhere close to his talented as renegade rebel. So my guess is that renegade rebel entered this race just on they put her in along with maybe a couple other Phillies here. You know, on the faint chance that the mazarine came up way tougher than the gray and I'm not really I don't know if that has actually happened. So I think renegade rebel will scratch out of the gray. If she runs, I'm going to use her as well. I might even put her on top, but Hal is strictly the one to beat. I guess we'll put Hal on top assuming renegade rebel doesn't go and that she goes in the mazarine. So speaking of the mazarin, that's all the way up to race number ten tomorrow at woodbine. And once again, two year old these time Phillies, mile and a 16th grade three, and this on the synthetic train main track 7 of them entered in this race as well. The two favorites are very logical in this spot renegade rebel and honor Delaney renegade rebel. She just looks so good, getting her maiden win last time out. It was her fourth try at getting the win, but her first try going as far as a mile and a 16th. She showed a lot more speed and she just extended the margin. And she's bred to be better long than short. She's by Nyquist. Out of a hard spun mayor. So I don't think it was a surprise that she enjoyed the mile in a 16th. Maybe a little bit of a surprise to some that she enjoyed it as much as she did. But that race certainly makes her tough tomorrow in the mazarine honor to lady has raced twice at Gulfstream park once on the dirt once on their synthetic track. The synthetic track effort was the better of the two was also her second race of her life. She does get Lasix added for the first time in her career as well. And safi Joseph who doesn't send a whole lot of horses up to woodbine since this daughter of honor code who looks like she's a major player if she runs, by the way, Edgar zayas, who was certainly one of the better riders at Gulfstream during the non championship meeting. He's one of the few writers at Gulfstream that's their year round that still enjoys some success during the championship meet. Most of the regular meat, if you will, riders at Gulfstream kind of go away. They don't ride quite the horses during the championship meet that would get them up into the top Echelon of the standings. Edgar zayas, when he's on, is really, really good, and he's riding on her to lady. So she has a big chance. I'm gonna put renegade rebel though on top. She's the second choice on the morning line. In the grade three mazarin race ten tomorrow at woodline. One more Saturday stake to look at. We're going to look right now at the featured race at Golden Gate fields tomorrow. It's the $100,000 grade three Berkeley handicap three year olds enough going a mile and a 16th on their synthetic main track, just a field of 5 going to post here. The favorite is number two. I'm going to be somebody who went wire to wire last time out in the JT grace also at a mile and a 16th on the synthetic track at Golden Gate. That race was actually supposed to be run on the turf. It was rained over to their synthetic main track. And I'm going to be somebody made the lead pretty easily and held on to win by three quarters of a life. The horse that he beat that day, Freeport Joe was the 8 to 5 favorite. And he was a horse that despite not being a huge field was four or 5 wide coming off the turn and coming from far back and ended up running out of time and running out of ground finishing second only beaten three quarters of a length.

"The first Gulf Stream race we looked at during our show today and that's kind of where we are with number 8 sees the hay Carlos David the trainer Kevin krigger aboard the son of carpe diem who was 13 to one against tougher competition on the synthetic track last time out and was only beaten a length that day kind of looks to me like a repeat of that race would easily make him the one to beat. I don't know if I want four to 5. You know my feelings on the synthetic track races at Gulfstream to begin with. They are, I didn't think they ever needed to put the synthetic track in there. I'm not a fan of those races. But it is what it is. You play, this is the hand you're dealt, you play the hand, you're dealt, not the hand that somebody else has dealt. And if you're playing this race, that's what you deal with, sees the hay is logical in the spot. I don't know if I want four to 5. They're circling the wagons as they get close to post time for this race. And it looks like they're kind of headed toward the starting gate now. For this race. By the way, if you're continuing to play at Saratoga, going forward, they have the West Point stakes coming up next. It's another off the turf race, which will be after our betting with Bobby presented by Caesar's race book window. Unfortunately, that race off the turf now a mile on the main track and it's down to it was supposed to be a field of ten. It's now a field of three, only three of them going in the West Point over at Saratoga. All right, back to Gulfstream park. I think they are finally starting to make the move from the dirt to the synthetic track, which is what they're doing right now. Once again, they are not racing on turf, all during these summer months at Gulfstream park. And they are hoping to be back and on the turf. I would think for the beginning of their championship meet which traditionally starts the early part of December over the last several years, the championship meet has started with the claiming crown at Gulfstream park. That is a little bit of a change this year. The claiming crown will move over to Churchill downs this year and they like Gulfstream are hoping to be back on the turf by the time that that meat comes around. They're talking about their end of October through November meet at Churchill, Gulf Stream talking about more the championship meet starting in December as to when both of those tracks are hoping to see turf racing again. I don't want to speak for all of the betters because I don't think I ever speak for all of the betters. We can't wait for both Gulf Stream and Churchill downs. To get turf racing back. We want to turf racing back at those two major venues and hope everything goes well and everything safe and we get to see turf racing before the end of the year at both of those tracks. All right, let's get to Gulfstream. They have arrived at the starting gate for race number 6. Once again, an optional claiming starter allowance race, a mile and 70 yards on the synthetic track. We mentioned number 8 sees the hay is the solid favorite he's even money as they move into the starting gate the second choice right now is number two, no man left behind for safi Joseph junior and Edgar zayas coming off a defeat against condition claimers on the synthetic track in his most recent start actually probably taking a little bit of a step up in class today, so he lost against softer last time out. Now he's facing what seems like it would be a little bit better and you have to take three to ones. Don't love the odds on the favor. Don't love the odds in the second choice. This might be just a watch and joy type race for me. Part of betting with Bobby is knowing when to bet and knowing when to sit and wait. This is gonna be a sit and wait race for me. Pete I yellow has the 6 that Gulfstream. And they're off. Picture, perfect beginning. From the outside men on the moon was the way the quickest on the outside of him and cash expressed backing off between sees the hay, sonic kitten stays parked at the rail. He's now a joint third. Creative cloud is next up three wide goes donegan, saving ground, no man left behind, and cadet corps is last of all, and he's about 7 links off the speed of man on the moon. Leonard Reyes in the son of distorted humor, man on the moon, kicked to a three length lead. Cash expresses second the same margin from sees the hay third. Sonic kitten is at the rail races in fourth now, then dunnigan, no man left behind trying to secure a racing lane between horses, creative cloud is shuffled the second last in the trailer is still cadet core. 24 and three for the opening quarter speed. There's less than 5 furlongs to raise. Man on the moon struts his stuff on the top and he's tugging on a clear advantage. Cash expressed and there is pursuer second sees the Hayes third. Sonic kitten is at the rail forth, no man left behind us between horses and dunnigan is three wide at the inside cadet corps and now the trailer, creative cloud. That's the 8 of them as they round the forest turn at the three furlong point. Man on the moon, taking on now by cash express who's a closer second from third at seize the hay winding up from the back cadet corps dropping back sonic kitten, no man left behind just grinding home after three quarters and one 13 and two. There's a quarter of a mile left to go and cash expresses up to take the lead from men on the moon who tries to fight back second two and a half lengths back to the team of cadet corin sees the hay with an 8th of a mile to go. With the advantage now men on the moon in Bolden by the challenge enough to take the lead, but can get corps has getting here's cadet corps from last to first. To win. Man on the moon's second catch express third then sees the hay and no man left behind. Unofficially three 7 9 8 and the 6 that Gulfstream cadet corps flying down the center of the track up and by them all under Miguel Vasquez to get the win. Going to take our final break when we come back, we'll get to the prices at Saratoga and Gulfstream. This is betting with Bobby presented by Caesar's

"And the other thing, Mike, they purchased the source at auction for $250,000. Whereas the one coal miners kitten and the three universal hero, those are my other top picks. Those are home breads. And you know, you don't necessarily know what you're going to get. There's nothing else lights on Broadway sold very well and they at least got to kind of see him. Move around a little bit, whereas the home bred here, we don't necessarily know what we're getting, but again, as I've kind of hinted at, this is a spread for me and not a lot of confidence in here. All right, and then in the next leg. So we'll go with the single and the first leg will go deep in the second leg. Leg number three is race number 8, 12, 5 claimer. This is also on the all weather mile in the 16th. Boy, another bit of a head scratcher when I looked at this race. What do you think? Yeah, so this is what I got. I got 70 here. Yeah. The dart lands on starship wizards. Caesar figueroa has had a really, really strong 2022 and basically everything he set out is meant super live. When we end the championship meet at the start of April, we morph into the royal palm meat, which is we're in right now. And you can see his staff. I mean, he's ten for 19 and the exact. He's got 6 wins. He ran the source for 20 off of maiden claiming when and the horse ran okay just a little over his head. Well, now he's back for 12.5. Caesar claimed this one for 16 three back, got the win right away. So to me, Mike, this is the proper level. He's kind of with his friends in here. And he's going to be a decent little price. I put him on top. Certainly silent chaos on the class drop has got to be a major player because he's never been in this light in three starts against winners, but Roth gars on the outside bar amador Sanchez, eavesdropping in class, their sappy and Edgar zayas with dosed in you. This is the other race, Mike, where I just want to kind of ensure I'm going to be alive. And one other thing I'll mention to, especially with ray savin and certainly in race, you know, like you get these races that are deep and competitive and you get, let's say you get a 7 to one home in the rainbow. Sometimes 7 at once play like 15 because if you're talking about the 5th 6th betting choice, sometimes a betting public just can't get there. You know what I mean? And those forces, even though they might be 7 to one on the top board, they're blown up a lot more than that in the horizontals. Yeah, yeah, so race 8 has 9 horses. You said you're 7 deep in there. So who are the two horses who aren't using? The 5 in the 6, Mike are not going to be on that ticket. That's charming Charlie and solar tap. Certainly solar cap. I can't possibly see winning. Charming Charlie. I won't say is impossible, but you got to feed someone. Yeah, right, right. All right, so move on to the second half of the Rainbow Six. Talk to Brian netto who is the handicapper at Gulfstream. He does a great job down there. My main Ron nicoletti is down there as well. And he's getting ready for the Rainbow Six two. So everybody's getting ready for that mandatory payout later today. We're on to race number 9, 9 ten 11 will wrap it up. $35,000 claim or 6 and a half furlongs on the main. Yes, this is important. Check the weather because I think I'll figure it out who's my best bet of the day is better than these are provided. We're on a fast main track. And I just look at his two races that you're seeing in his password performances. You got to dig. It was March 27th when he was third, but yes, I'm a piece apocalypse pico. Both come back to win and then certainly last time, Mike, when he was a really, really good second with a big number. He's also in Ron and I talk about this a lot and I think it's a big deal of these types of races. He's a horse that's won two races and you look through this field. There's only a field of 9 only three of them have done that. So I think that's something that sometimes gets lost when tracks start writing the four and up two wells or three year olds. It's a big deal to have to have one a couple races. He's done it. He just missed last time against similar I'm right back with him. He could stop the early pace, which should be pretty solid and get first run. And if I'm going to go 6 and 7 deep and the other couple races, I've got to have a I've got to have a wedge in here and that's all figure it out. All right, that's race number 9, four to one on the morning line. I'll figure it out a single in there in that leg. So race number ten is the Benny the bull stakes I mentioned that one when we heard the call of Benny the bull winning the 2008 smile sprint handicap that was at the end of our one of this show. And I got a chance to talk about Benny the bull and what it was like to be there that day that he won. He was quite a racehorse and it's great to remember him with this race later today. Yeah, he was a cool dude, man. He was a hard knocker and I agree with you. We got a Florida bread stakes race year, honoring a good one. And we got to check the scratches, Mike, because dean delivers is also entered tomorrow and what would be an easier spot is even on the morning line tomorrow. It's a big deal because obviously it's 9 to 5 on this morning line today and he's the worst of beat. I really like putting a lot. And I'm going to tell anybody that might be on a budget, even if dean delivers. I'm putting will be a single on my backup tickets, Mike, because he's an older horse and he was just second to Willie boy. And I have a hell of a lot of respect for dean delivers. I'm not sure he can be second to Willie boy, who's really, really nice for Jorge Delgado he went up to Saratoga and yeah, he got blitzed by Jackie's lawyer, but who doesn't get what's by Jackie's lawyer, but he was third in the grade one Vanderbilt up there. I thought he acquitted himself pretty nicely. Mike, this is another race. You got to check the weather because it's right there in front of you. You look at puddings form. It's just so rock solid, but what's the one blip to back in the slop when he was a distant third to absolute grit, who I don't really think has a chance on dry land, but you look at the race in the slop two back. He absolutely freaks. So pay attention to the weather right up until we kick this thing off, you know, three 15, three ten, what have you? I can get a fascinating track. I'm going to be very aggressive with putting in here today. All right, let's assume that we are alive, Brian, going into that last leg. It's a $10,000 claimer, 5 and a half for a longs on the all weather. What a challenging race to try to wrap this thing up. There's no doubt about it, Mike.

"You're listening to the equine forum on HR RN presented by twin spires. As they move to the top of the stretch, it's Pacific Gale in front. CC watch room bad trying to keep her in as a steel talent toso and the two path is sound machine they line up for across the course, but CC has the monument on the three wide side and she's up to take the lead, a steo talentoso flattening out. 8th of a mile to go, CC, clear and moving away. On the outside of steel telling Tulsa tries to get up for a second from sound machine and specific Yale, but it's on to delmar for CC. She wins the princess Rooney. A steel talent toso won the place photo over a sound machine who ran excellent while third in one 21 and four. PDL bringing them home in last year's princess Rooney huge effort from CC who would go on to win the Philly and mayor sprint after qualifying with that victory in the princess Rooney and boy, she is so good and she's back to defend her crown in this afternoon's renewal at Gulfstream park, but for Jackie Edgar zayas, he's hoping that glass ceiling can find a way to run her down or at least hold her off as she's in front turning for home. And he is with me now here on HR and Edgar. Good morning, my friend. Hi, good morning, Mike. Thanks for having me. Yeah, excited to talk to you about your comeback getting back to the races and talk about this race, the princess Rooney. How do you do it, man, CC figures like she's going to be a handful? How do you find a way to get pastor today? I think I'm going to, I'm going to have the jump in or is just trying to hold her off, you know? I think he has a better position that she had last year. I remember last year I had her, we had her pinned and then inside there and we had her cover up for a little bit until she found a way out and she was out for there. I totally, she's definitely to be, you know, you know, gallery Specter, but I think if someone has a shot in the race to beat her, it might be my know, she's going to run a Vega race. Way better in the last race here, man on New York. Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, it's your first time aboard glass ceiling. How do you get ready to ride in a big race like this against a horse like Cece with a horse you've never ridden before? What's your preparation like? I've just been watching all the replays from glass wheeling from other good races that she had to, you know, even the last raise that she had a pretty, you know, not her best phrase that and I was wondering why she went so bad after running so good. And I know she went against some nice belly, so I went, you know, when a horse is feeling that good, you know, they can run against anyone and they'll run the race, but then I read an article that Charlie baker was saying that, you know, it shows acting up in the pattern and she was having some trouble and she was super nervous before the race. And I'm like, well, I guess, you know, that's an excuse for her to run the way she did, but I expecting a better race for her today for sure. You mentioned having the jump on CC and you probably will, if everything goes according to plan, you'll probably be in front of her when you turn for home. At that point, what do you do from there, Edgar, let's say you are in front turning for home. I think I just have to save as much horses. As I can in the first quarter and then try to let her get to me, you know, try to make her make her get me, you know? And try to get out of pace and if she could get if I could get her to I like her, she can get to go inside inside horses and I can, you know, cover up there for a little bit, but I don't know how that's gonna work. I think there's a spot ride or you might stay outside with her and see what happens right there. I always love talking to jockeys in particular, John Velazquez will talk about this a lot with the plant a, the plan B, the plan C and as the top rider like yourself, you have to have multiple plans going into a race because those gates open and the whole picture can change quickly. Oh yeah, no, for sure. Absolutely. And that's what I like about this really glass feeling because I've seen her racist and there's races that she's been behind horses mid pack and come back, you know, and she comes and went and there's races that she's been stuck in the face setting second behind a horse and she wins the race. It looks like she's very versatile, like she could do anything. But I think the plan here might be not to press too much into the pace and try to save as much as you can to a hold off CC from coming. You know, I remember your other win in the princess Rooney. We actually broadcast it here on the network back in 2013. Starship truffles for Marty Wilson. That was the last princess Rooney that was held at Calder, wasn't it? Yeah, it was allowed..

"It's a huge card, including the Stephen foster, which is the signature event, and mandolin getting that showdown with olympiad. I think most people are thinking those are the two horses coming down to the line in there, but there are others. Proxy can have an impact American Revolution, certainly, can have an impact. I'm going to talk to Garrett o'rourke from Judd Matt, the owners of mandolin. I'll talk to him coming up in just a few minutes at 9 o'clock eastern to kick off the second hour of the program. He will be followed by jockey Edgar zayas, who is looking to upset the heavy favorite CC in today's princess Rooney, CC coming back as the defending champion. And Edgar will ride glass ceiling, and hoping he can break through that glass ceiling and take down CC later today. I'll ask him about his strategy, how he goes about trying to beat a heavy favorite like that. And I'm also going to ask him about coming back from injury and what he has to do. He was on a roll before getting hurt and deciding to have surgery. And now that he's back and he's healthy, what does he have to do? Is it automatic? Do you just walk in and the doors open and here you go? Here's all your the trainers you were riding for. Here's all the mounts. You get them all back or do you have to prove yourself again? I'm going to ask those questions coming up at 9 20. And at 9 40, I'll go down the road to the breeders cup that segment presented by breeders cup and I'll do that with Elliott Walden, the president and CEO of windstar, who, of course, is going to be very busy today when he joins me as a matter of fact, he's going to be driving from Saratoga down to Belmont park. He'll be there for the John a nehru later today. To get ready for life is good and for Harvard in there. But life is good is the one to two morning line favorite. That's the one that everybody's going to have their eyes on later today. At Belmont park. So a loaded second hour of the program and then as I mentioned, hour three wraps up with I asked they answer with Dale Romans and Tim wilkin at ten 30 eastern that's the final segment in today's show as it is every week and we'll debate many of the hottest topics, including bob effort, his suspension ends today. What does that mean for racing in the second half of the season? What do we expect from bob moving forward for the second half of the season as well? All right, poll question today. Let's update you there through this out at the beginning of the show. You can cast your vote at HR N on Twitter and horse racing radio network on Facebook. If you don't do social media, you can email your answer to me. Mike at horse racing radio dot net to get in touch with the show. Which favorite is most likely to win on this 4th of July weekend? Sisi, who goes in the prince's Rooney, life is good in the nehru, mandolin and the Stephen foster or Joey chestnut in the Nathan's hot dog eating contest on Monday. Well, so far, 50% of you, saying it is life is good, who is the most likely favorite to win on this weekend. Not Joey chestnut. Joey going for a record, by the way, this year. I think last year he ate like 76 hot dogs and buns in ten minutes or whatever was something ridiculous like that. He's going to go for the record this year, but only 32% of you saying that it's going to be Joey chestnut who is the most likely winner. Life is good, getting a lot of play in here. And again, Elliott Walden going to talk about life is good coming up to wrap up our number two. All right, that's about it for hour one. When I come back, we will kick it off, and I'll do that with Garrett o'rourke right after I pause ten seconds for station identification. This is the horse racing. Radio network. This is the equine forum, presented by twin spires. The very busy morning rolls on plenty of fireworks on the racetrack this weekend, 13 greatest dates and tested across 5 different racetracks in North America. And plenty of fireworks on this show. If you missed any of my conversations in the first hour of the program, my interview.

"But I think he's kind of going his best right now. He's four of his less really 6 of his last 7. Other than the Phoenix, he's been awesome and the Phoenix got beat by special reserve and low ha west, and he was only being two legs. But for him, obviously the distance is the question, right? Being that I have a pedigree expert. Wink wink, not not. Blame could go a mile in a quarter, right? So that means much okay. For this pedigree handicap, it's easy. That's all you gotta do is see what their mom and dad did and then just say that if they're gonna do it and they're gonna. But yeah, fun race, though, the 5th season is very much looking forward to that. Here at Tampa Bay downs, we have three stakes races on Saturday's card and I want to in particular talk about the ones with potential Derby and oaks ramifications. The apasco stakes for the boys and the gasparilla for the girls. I don't try to pick favorites in racism. I'm going to call it, but I am really pumped for the gasp. The Philly race. Oh man. Why don't we start with that? It's the 6th race. They're actually early. The Pasco is the 5th and the gas barilla is the 6. Outfoxed shows up here who's right at Saratoga debuted. Didn't do a whole lot of running, went down to Gulfstream because she's a Florida Brad, and that obviously is part of this equation. Dominated in the Florida sire stakes 7 furlongs dominated even more well not actually actually less because instead of winning by 13 one by 9 and a 9 and a quarter. But it was for 400,000 to go into mile 16. So cuts back here and is going up against pretty good field. So I'm really jazzed about this race because Fox certainly connection wise Bill Mott and L and J and Sammy camacho getting on board Edgar zaya is not coming up to ride. Which I don't know if that's like I feel like that's not like a thing to read much into because it's not a graded stakes race. It is worth more if you're Florida bread in these races. So that's where that's where part of the reason I brought that up. But strategic bird who's on the outside is also Florida Brad and is extremely good. I was really impressed with her when in the sandpiper stakes. Now, the reason I say that is, you know, she free wheeled in her debut when at Gulfstream against state Brad's very easily. But she got pushed and hooked last time by divine charger, who's also in this race and to find charger took a big step forward in the sandpiper. And strategic bird like I mean, like I said, she got looked right in the eye and kicked back very game. It was only her second tour start it would start 5 for divine charger. And you know, this race, there is a lot of that horses with kind of the one good maiden race, pletcher sends and got us a fire who was a maiden winner up at the Saratoga. They tried the Pocahontas ran third and behind hidden connection when hid connection romp that day and then came back and the tempted and didn't do a whole lot of running. The other interesting thing is, you know, a lot of these newly turned three year olds getting Lasix for the first time. I think there's 5 horses of the 8 that are getting Lasix for the first time in the gasparilla. Strategic bird being one of them out Fox being one of them. So, you know, take that for what you would like. My dad used to live by first time Lasix. I used to have to go through in the program and circle all the one else because he used to love that angle. And you know, I mean, I don't know, I don't know that it's like a move forward thing for horses that are already running good. But we'll see. But yeah, fun race. And even a local horse platinum Jim, who was a maiden special winner here at Tampa, back in December 4th, was really eye catching that they came right back in one against optional 75, Maria Bauer sock the trainer is having an extremely good start to the meat and a problem Ralph, the jockey has been insanely hot. He's had 5 winners each of the last two Saturdays, which is nuts. But I just thought it really, really fun addition to this race. I'm excited about the gasparella now. The boys race, the Pasco, which obviously starts the road to the Tampa Bay Derby. Is a smaller field 7 and catan was the winner of the local I don't want to say prep for this race, but the first race in the series, the inaugural. And one pretty easily just kind of stock the leaders pounce on them and it's two actually really good efforts in a row, finished behind octane and those Florida sire stakes for the boys in the last couple starts before that. But other than getting beat by octane is a nice two for two and the runner up in the inaugural did come back to win. The fourth place finisher for that from the inaugural is in this race. But we got some new shooters as far as from out of town. One of those is cyber Viking chantel Sutherland coming up to ride for trainer Jorge Delgado. Three for four this horse is and they've taken their time. I mean, debut for maiden 12 5, one, they jumped all the way up to optional 35 second and then one that same condition last time. Now, the distance I get, I don't want to say the question because they won going this distance last time. And so I don't think it's a question at this point. The 7 furlongs is still it's kind of an interesting little.

"Like this whole weekend I mean it's open and weekend so everyone just wanted to run and their full fields and their competitors feels. Yeah, those are tough races. When you think about the claiming crown and I always refer to it and we have for years, the breeders cup for the blue collar working horses of the sport. What does it mean for the connections of these horses to compete for this kind of money? I mean, I think people really look forward to it has become a daily, especially reclaim a lot of horses and we have a lot of owners that look forward to it. They're always trying to find that came in from horses as a whole person dream. And their aspect is their burrito scope for the strength for the payment owners and the horses. It's been a great day. It successfully produces good handle and it produces competitive breezes. You look at a racist today. It's not easy to make these single horses in any of these races today. You touched earlier, safiya about the team. And how important it is for the team to work together and develop together and grow in the way that you've been able to do it in the past few years. And it's been a big part of your success. Edgar zayas is part of your team. You've brought him into the fold. He has become kind of your John Velazquez, if you will, if you were Todd pletcher, he's been your go to guy. Why is he such a good fit? Let me write a great year round where we run most of our horses. So he comes over basically every weekend. He works a lot of our horses for us. So he has a feeling we get into a good rhythm and it's been working on hopefully he can keep continuing and we're not going to fix what's not broken. So long may continue fingers crossed. Yeah, visiting with trainer safi Joseph junior here on the horse racing radio network, looking ahead to the rest of the championship meet staff. I know you said the numbers are big. They certainly are today. You're going to make a run at that leading trainer title, at least you hope you are. Tell me about some of the horses that folks can look forward to from the barn that could have an impact later in the meat. We run a nice two year old tomorrow one first. I'm always named as AP secret. Kind of the trends like he's our best to really one first time out more in work like fashion, hope and tomorrow, a human he can make that jump forward and of course in the next level. And as you're thinking, as you're thinking of big races of tomorrow's going to be his judgment call to see if you can step it up a notch. That's one thing that's so cool about this championship meet is you start to find out if you belong. If you're a contender or a pretender looking ahead to next year's classics. No, most definitely. All these allowance racism if you win any of these allowance racism the next step basically you're going to stick So I'm going to some of the ones where you just come up just as some of the other prep. So if you're fortunate enough to win one of them, you're definitely going to give a horse and tray going long. I'm looking at those entries tomorrow 13 horses, entered on the program tomorrow. You certainly do have the numbers, my friend. Hopefully we can pick up some weathers, get some momentum. I think if we could keep pretty close to thoughts of December last year, he got away from us in December. Because they're pretty close, we're going to give them a rental money. But overall, we just happy to be in this position. Thankful to have the arms we do. And we just want to win every race that we run. Obviously, we lose a lot more than we ran, but we just keep moving forward. I try to do our best and keep winning. Is dad here helping you now or is he back home in Barbados? No, he's there. I'm at palmetto this morning. All right. Well, safi Joseph junior, his dad is a major part of that team and his success and staff. I wish you guys all the best this upcoming me. Good luck with the claiming crown today and go in some races, my friend. Thank you very much, Mike. We're going to try. All right. They call him Baba back home in Barbados and Baba is going to be looking to see if he can dethrone one of the greatest of all time and Todd Fletcher. We'll see how this plays out. You heard him say, just going to try and keep Todd close into here in December and try to let him get too far away and have to play catch up interesting the way that trainers look at those things. Isn't it really interesting? And Dale Romans pointed out what we were having that conversation a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about safi. He said, you know, for him, the money titles and the big races have become more important. Dale said, when he was a young trainer, he always focused on the training titles. And he always, they meant they still mean a lot to them. But it was a goal of his early on. It's not so much a goal anymore, trying to be leading trainer. But winning the big races in the big money events has become a goal. And I think that just comes with experience..
