"In downtown Seattle. Northwest news time 225. The University of Michigan has a new feather in its cap thanks to a gift from Oregon State. Northwest news radio's Kim Shepard explains. Oregon State University is handing over a major collection of scientific specimens to researchers at the University of Michigan. Since these specimens arrived, people are very, very, very enthusiastic and supportive and excited about kinds the of research that are going to be done with these collections. So what are these specimens? About 30 thousand snakes and other reptiles and amphibians. The gift nearly doubles the collection already amassed by the University of Michigan's Museum of Zoology, making it the largest collection of its kind, surpassing even the Smithsonian and American the Museum of Natural History. Greg Schneider is now the keeper of all the slithering things. These are the kinds of studies that tell us a lot, lot, lot more about what's happening in natural selection and the evolutionary process. "Fuck David. I would say I would say Carlin is my my favorite George Carlin, but you know, unfortunately passed my least favorite. Oh, my God. I know who my least favorite is, and people are going to think it's probably Brian Schwab or whatever the fuck his name is. There's a guy who always goes on Joe Rogan's podcast and he's like he's got a mustache, short hair. I think he's Italian or Spanish or something like that. And he's every time he talks. And then there's a red headed guy that goes on with Bobby Lee and all that stuff. And both those guys, if they come up on shorts, if they come up on, I'm just like, no, no, I don't want to hear his voice. I hate their just their existence in my life. I hate and I don't know why, but I'm not going to say it's because their comedy is bad because I don't even know. It's just when I heard him talking, I was like, I can't stand these. Is there anybody you grew up with? Robin Williams. Robin Williams. Yeah. Yeah. There's a sort of American ones, but mine are mainly Brits like Billy Connolly. It's probably my favorite comedian of all fucking time. He just his live shows were absolutely. Who's the guy who laughs inward that we always talk about? Oh, Jimmy Carr. Yeah. Jimmy Carr delivers some really rank hard stuff. And I do find him much easier to listen to than the other guy who did the Academy Awards or whatever. I know people like him, but the guy from the office or did the Oscars or whatever, the guy who did the office originally. Oh, Ricky Gervais. Yeah, I like that guy better than Ricky Gervais. The one I can't stand. And you won't know him. And it'll only be a certain age of people who know him in the UK in the chat. Maybe Roy should be Brown. There was this little suave of comedians in the 70s and 80s that came up and they were just nasty, vile, misogynistic, hateful, homophobic, innuendo written pieces of crap who just said the same drivel about their wives over and over again. Right. And you've got you want to take me on a flight of fancy if you want to make me laugh like Eddie Izzard or someone, you know? Yeah. I think what it comes down to it, too, comedians, you can always say it's going to be your style or what have you. Most of the time, I can laugh at almost any comedian. Like, they'll just say this funny or say something, but it's sitting down and listen to him is a totally different thing. And so, like, I can sit down and listen to Carlin. I can sit down and listen to Kevin Hart, funny enough, because he's always teasing himself so much that I find his goofiness about being short and being a child sized man and just that shit. I can find that. I think Bill Burr is hilarious at times, but Bill has his treatment of Theo Vaughn in an interview that they did recently pissed me off because I like Bill Burr, but he was a big dick to Theo, which just seemed weird. And I don't like, you know, there's no reason to do that, especially if you're on a podcast, if you're invited and it's just hanging out, you know, if it's contentious, that's one thing. Do whatever you want. But if it's like, you're all supposed to be hanging out, you know, I found Chappelle quite a weird one. Like, I quite like Chappelle, but the last couple of his Netflix specials of, you know, when you sit there and you're like, I already know what you're going to say, just not I think with him to when you get pushed enough, you can't joke around anything. It's always back because you probably you know, it's a it's an audience captivated audience that's there for you. And he pushes back a lot of times and a lot of times I just want more funny stories. And yeah, now, you know, and when somebody's hit on like that, that does that kind of stuff does happen. It's like Frankie Boyle. Frankie Boyle is not exactly he's like fucking hard core in your face comedian who talks about the really edgier shit. I find him hilarious for the most part, but he's never kind of gone down this latest Chappelle route where his back is up and he's, you know, semi defending himself with semi gnar and attacking things maybe in the wrong way. And I just sometimes you sit there and you go just not clicking. Who's the one is did Bill Bailey die? No, no, he's like, who's the guy with the long hair? He looks like a lead singer that has like gone 20 years past his prime and he was always doing Q. He was always doing that question TV show with Steve Fry.

"Now, a while ago, I started running marathons. I've run about a 130 miles now to charity. It's an LGBTQ thing. I don't know, it's just willpower, keeping going. So I've run these marathons, high heels and marathons. That's what I can do. And I was running a marathon. I was running a practice marathon. And I ran, you just run and you run around. I ran past a big house. Big house in the countryside. Big walls, big gates at the front. I wouldn't get. And as I ran past a dog, I couldn't see it behind the wall so I would go, but we'll figure out as they have done since the beginning of time. And I thought to myself, what is this dog trying to say? If the dog suddenly had FOXP2, the genetic code that gives them the power of speech, like we have, what would a dogs actually be saying? If it goes, woof, woof. It would probably be trying to say, thief, thief, or burglar, thief is a thief, but assassin, assassin the hair, the hair. That very sure dogs, aren't they? Very sure. Rarely had an unsure dog, have you? You've never had a dog that was. Are you an assassin? No, it's a wolf. Every dog seems to have joined the right-wing party. And based on very little information, they're completely sure. I sat down. Slash immigrants are. And they were eventually the owner comes out and goes, what the fuck is going? What is that? Are you sure? Of course I'm sure our dog motherfucker. Well, how many is that? What dude? 2002 thousand. Exactly to well, 1527. You saw them? I saw them with my ears. What does that mean? I'm a dog. That's what we do. Get a gun, get a gun. I'm British. I don't have a gun. Go to America. They give away guns to children. How can I get there quickly? Go on one of those penis rockets. Okay. And the man goes off with a dog carries a woofing. And tells something happens or anything happens. Oh. Oh. What if I stood in? What if I stood in? Oh, no. What advice? Who did that? Who did that? Who left that big pile of steaming? I did that. I stood in my own poo. I am hoist by my own Pluto. Oh, God. Is this how Michael Jackson lent to do this? Then the owner comes back. I've got a gun. What? I've got a gun for the assassins. Assassins? Who have seen assassins? You saw them. You saw them with your ears. That doesn't make sense. But I found poo, this pool. Just pool there. Shoot the pool, should it? Should it shoot it? Shoot the pool, shoot it in the face. Short it. Throw out. You can't handle the pool. Shoot the poosh. You sought the pool. The pool. The poor is dead. Long live the pool. Now everything that I have said is the character of the dog. That is what is going on in Donald Trump's mind all the time. Catch Eddie Izzard, and stand out and LGBTQ+ celebration, only on Netflix.

"And so we just couldn't really we absolutely didn't want to do that. So we walked away from a couple of situations that might have been major scenarios for set list because it would have had to compromise it too much. And part of the reason that we got so many amazing people to do that list is because there is none of that pressure. There is none of that. They did know that they trusted me and Troy and barter Roman my other producing partner. They trusted us to not make them look bad if things don't go well. One of my favorite times is we're doing the show at a festival in Vienna. And Eddie Izzard did the show for the first time. And I always thought Eddie would just love this, and he would just be a no brainer for Eddie. But it's not. It's deceptive in that. It's actually much more challenging than you would think, even for people like Eddie or Robin Williams or Rick over to in the middle of his set. And he was doing great, but in the middle of his set, he looked at the topic and he turned around and he just went, he just said to the audience. This is fucking hard. And the audience howls, and I was just like, that's got to go on a poster somewhere. That's a great tagline for the show when you bring it back. And Tim mentioned who had just done a bunch of shows at the O2 arena and we were doing set list at the Soho theater in London in this little basement room seated about maybe 90 people, 80 people. And he had just finished doing like 5 shows at the O2 arena and from the green room before going on set list. He goes, I'm about to do the most frightening thing I've ever done in my life. It's really trip. Matt kirsch, a great British comic. He lives in America now. People might have seen him on last comic standing. He had quite a run on that. But Matt kirshen said, it's the closest you ever come to the first time you were ever on stage, which is a cool thing. That is a good feeling. Well, I'm looking forward to all of these amazing things that we didn't even get into your relationship with Blair and the facts of life, but we'll have to get to that next time. You're on the show. Paul, thank you so much for hanging with me. What's a good place for people to keep up with you on the social medias? Well, I'm not involved with Facebook. I have a page there, but I don't really go to it because it's basically the destruction of the world as we know it. So I don't really want any part of it. But you get me a Twitter at Paul for venza, although I post and frequently, you can still get in touch with me there and I'll respond. But also there's a satirist feed at satirist, which is like satire with an east end at the end. And that's a news and information thing. Sometimes it's some comment on their also funny people doing funny shit about the news on their a lot at aristocrats film, which is a feed of some of the most vile things that you can find on the Internet. Some of the most vile tweets out there. It's just a long string of offensive tweets. That's all the aristocrats film is. And there's an setlist show one word for updates on when and where we're doing the show again. And there's an at comics only also on Twitter, which is it's up and down, depending on my mood and whether or not something's going up on YouTube..

"So now it's time for our final segment. It's it's called the laughing round. It's like a lightning round. But because it's comedy i call it a laughing round. Okay do you have a favorite joke or any joke like a joke. A joke like a knock knock joke or joke. That comes to mind when. I say you know a joke and yeah this. I should have an answer to this. There's so many are coming to mind. I think i'm gonna say there's a comedian called chris. Lock in toronto is so amazing and everyone check them out. I i love his whole style of delivery and he had a joke. That will not translate here. But it's about how playing with a balloon is is like hanging out with a friend who could yell at you at any second anyway. Whatever it is. It's better than that. Because i thought you were going to then say the punchline sentence and then i realized already it's pretty funny is more his vibe. It's five. I can imagine it's five. I'm not seen it before. But i imagine mitch hedberg saying it and i think it's very funny. Do you have a joke from another comedian that you wish you could steal. You wish it could be in your set. You wish you could do it. You wouldn't be accused of stealing. It's another dimension in which everything's the same but this joke you got to have. There's some pignataro stuff that i really wish that. I was brave enough to have her pace. Sometimes because i i feel like i'm filling every silence in just desperate to please. And when she went on conan and did the thing with the stool dragging the around. I thought and that's so cool. And her her some of her anecdotes as well to have these long long pauses. That just get funnier the longer they are and inside. Yeah i'm gonna say more. Broadly some stuff. Because i it takes real confidence to be so controlled. Yeah do you have a best or worst heckling heckling experience or the best or worst heckle. You i do in an improvised. Stand up show where the audience writes down questions. And they're all in a bucket and they're anonymous questions and There was a long period. Where i kept getting people who are matched with on tender coming to the show and and being like why did you go me or something like that or or. Why didn't you swipe and that was that. Was getting stressful. Also edinburgh fringe festival. When i was about twenty five. I did a show. It was i was on at four am so a twenty four hour talk comedy thing that was the conceit and i went for an all these drunk scottish people in the audience and i haven't even said my first line. I just walked up to the microphone. Insertive inhaled about to speak and somebody just want what you do in las and it was so existential. Kind of disturbing. That i was like. I don't know what i'm doing this is. Why am i here. That really fucked me. You were talking about this before but My producer and i really like how you dress on the show and i get real life. What is how. Can you give someone a quick guide dressing like you all. It's white or black t. Shirt usually black jeans skinny levi's although i'm trying to experiment with a wider trouser now. That's that's really a sea. We talked about how your career you're going through the same teams but if you change your pants style. I do feel like that will feel yeah. That'd be a new era yeah And then you know car. Heart champion beca. It's a short short short back and sides on your hair. Can you recommend one solo song from each of the beatles. Yes what a wonderful question okay. I'm gonna go go on my current mood. Basically sure that's fine. I assumed i was gonna change. I did it's like oh this is not final right now on again. I'll ask you again. This is way too big question for a final answer. John lennon's solo material. There's a song called. Remember that i really like. It's classic lennon in that it's very simple. Melodic -ly and the lyrics are sort of searing truths about childhood and stuff mccartney. Let me roll it fit. That's a song. That was one that i tried to get on the soundtrack of season. Two and you can't get paul mccartney no this. I wanted to talk about this. Because i think about all the time about how there hasn't been a paul mccartney song in a wes anderson movie. In how weird that is. That is weird actually. Yeah and then Okay george harrison. If not for you. I think it's a classic romantic Song and ringo struck with a like. I didn't i didn't i wrote it. I wonder if they have a go. Yeah i think. I'm gonna. I can't think of like a solo career track but i'll say from the white album goodnight which is just the ringo song and You know kind of a lullaby that works similar to the one before you have a best time. We ever bombed. One time. I was doing a tv. I i think i was twenty. And i was in over my head. I got asked to do like a canadian mixed bill. Tv show hosted by dave foley and it had like john and maria bamford. I had no business being there. And i did a song and i was so nervous that i was like swallowing in the middle of words and my hands were shaking. I was not a stage fright. So we filmed. It went okay and then we found out that the microphone hadn't been working. I had to go out and do the entire thing again. And the audience had heard it before and they were just trying to be polite and laugh but it was absolutely excruciating. And yeah yeah. That's terrible Do you have a short story. A about an interaction with a legendary comedian. Living or dead there was one time there were a bunch of us in a room and then this legendary comedian came in and we didn't know anyone just walked in. So we're all like oh. Hey cool oh nice to me. And then he just started roasting. Everyone needs to standing up and he was just going around the room pointing his finger. And in everybody's face and saying what he saw and it was so offensive and bizarre. And i felt for him because he he obviously didn't know how to be in a room. You know with people and we we were all cooman absolutely ripped us apart and was sort of homophobic and racist and yeah so that was interesting and then A positive one is. When i was eleven. I waited at the stage door of this play to meet eddie izzard And i missed the nears eve new year's eve and my grandma way to with me in the cold and we missed the actual count down amid nights at he was parting in the green room and then came out and was so kind to me and glamorous and like astounding and signed my program and it was like absolutely amazing. That's awesome i mean. I have the celebrity story. That was kind of surreal. Where i was walking down the street and walking towards me was kevin bacon and curious and then a car drove by. And somebody who it's invisible men at kevin bacon and then i swear to god. He looked at me directly in the like we both stop walking when the car shouted that and then he took it sunglasses off. Looked me in the eye as if we were old friends. And when sometimes i wish i wasn't visible to me like that and then they walking and i was like yeah man. It was so intimate and strange. I really was like. Hey i respect. Good last one and i have. Can you think of a specific joke that you love that. You tried multiple times and never worked and it's one of the things that we were before but ultimately like a joke that never worked. But you kept on trying and you will go to your grave. That was funny. The audience was wrong. Every.

I wonder how it works for concert goers coming from a neighboring country. I don't think anybody's allowed to move countries right now. Most people are still got their border. Shut down so. I don't know how that's gonna work out. We'll see what happens with this You know the concert just happened on saturday. I think so. Let's give it two weeks. Yeah i do track. Everybody and let's. I'm very curious to see what happens with this. So we'll see. Yeah i'm sure you are. That's your wheelhouse right. However here's the difference between this occurring in barcelona in this occurring in the united states. I read this one. Line here In the article in surreal scenes after year social distancing people dance close to one another but the sea of faces covered in masks showed that things were not quite back to normal. Let me tell you one fucking thing we throw a lollapalooza or coachella around here. Even if we test everybody going in. There could be any fucking masks song because america america as right. That's how that works Friend of the show chris. Lockhead sent this one in yesterday's concert to prepare to return from pandemic lockdown. Roadies may may have moved on Now brandon music business. Would you like to take this one. Because i think you have things to say about it. Yeah i mean they talk about this that you basically there's been no shows For the last year plus And there are a lot of people that make a show. There's a lot of roadies. there's there's lightning giggs. There's there's people setting up the stage. There's people that deal with the instruments. There's a there's a whole army behind every band that you've ever seen that's just bands. You know you talk about theater and we can talk about all that sort of stuff as well So yeah a lot of these people. I i know quite a few roadies. I know quite a few management organizations. I know quite a few bands The the the better organizations. Shall i say have done something for their their their crew. They've tried to help. Keep them afloat. They've done things You know they paid out of their own pocket. They've put out You know limited releases on band camper. They've done special shirts so fans could buy stuff and all that money went to their crew. those are the good bands. A lot of people haven't done shit and if you haven't done shit. I know quite a few roadies that have moved on and gotten real jobs and then went discovered that. Oh wow hold on a second. When i have a real job. I get health insurance. Yeah you don't get that as a rhody. I get retirement account. He don't get that as a rhody and what. I think this is going to really do as i if it's going to change the industry to some degree because i the there's always going to be some willing kid that used to work at taco bell that's going to push around crate and sleep on a bus and heat nothing but pizza for six months for you but i think that needs to change things. I think we need to realize that roadies need to be able to make a living and have these perks that everybody else not everybody else. 'cause you'd probably didn't get a taco bell either but you know health insurance is something that should probably be provided to these sorts of people and all that so. We'll see there. Some organizations are going to be fine because they've done their best. And i think they know it and other organizations are going to have a really hard time getting people to come back. I agree with that. Yeah and you know. There's two to skill sets are levels of skill. probably like ten levels of skill when it comes to rotate. There's you get your guitar tuners. But you've also got the people who put up the giant. You know multi ton riggings that actually on the lights go on and putting up the lights and those that is a skilled labor position right there that is not just get some kid who just made it chalupa in shove them up. A you know many lighting show and manning the sound desk and making sure all the mics are working in. The sound is great in the venue and all that there's incredibly skilled labor labor out there So we shall see. I found a couple of things to read. Because that just made me think about music. And then i was bouncing around a bit. And there's a really great article over at louder..

"That this will enhance quote unquote cancel culture. Because what you can do is basically short someone stock find an old tweet put it out there and have them tank and then prophet. Yeah that's assuming anybody ever uses this thing. The would which they aren't now to begin with a couple of different things struck my mind first off a in theory actually. Isn't all that horrible of an idea except for the ability to get to basically short people. That's horrible. I wonder if there was. I mean obviously you could shut that off within your own currency. But you can't stop people from doing it because they use different currencies to do it but financial markets are horrible. That's always going to happen. And that's horrible. So that's a bad thing. The other thought that came to mind is that basically The whole idea behind this network is that you could mix speculation and content together so you could talk about the way that you're monetize and what your pay. This will not fly in morocco. Apparently and but in general this is kind of the idea that we always kinda sorta light is like micro payments for what you're doing. I mean if you're writing really good. Content than people are going to give you micro payments of bit glitz. And that's great because we've always said that that would be a wonderful thing a way to monetize your posting out there. Let letting people make micro payments. It's just a horrible way to do it yet. There's another site out there that this reminds me of. I can't remember. Oh god it's gonna drive me crazy every month. I get an email from them saying that. Oh my accounts about to expire. I need to come in and check in to make sure that I get to keep my account in what it is. It is the same thing. It's basically a stock market for people. Right i mean it's kind of remember. Hollywood rings a bell. Hollywood online that was worked at. So there's this is basically hollywood online for people and so this is kind of the same thing using actual money. Yes yes yeah well actual money. That's true the other thing that really came to mind because they were talking about in this article. They talked about a number of other fucking coins as well at this point. How many crypto currencies are there. I feel like there are more crypto currencies than actual people out and Yeah i mean. God remember the big days like a couple of years ago where everybody i mean. God burger king had aucoin those oppa the coin only in russia. And yeah there's tons and tons. Of course just go logging coin base and you can scroll for quite some time to find out i found it. Ha- new would find it It used to be called empire. Avenue now is empire dot com k. k. r. e. d. Very cool yes. So if you go to empire dot cred Let's see here. I i been on this site since it launched and you have any credit i surprisingly do because the funny thing about it is. I never got rid of my count. So i go in every month and i keep you know just doing the basics to i've got stockholders and i look Yeah well done. You've got the outstanding thirty two badge. I have sold twenty five million shares after increase my portfolio but my portfolios one hundred six million. I think they're called eve's yes eve's my portfolio wealth is like two trillion two billion two billion eve's shit. Why even do in this podcast retire. I know except except eaves are just about as useless bit. Clint can't get so. Yeah kind of the same thing i just. I couldn't. it was driving me crazy at empire. Avenue was what it used to be called now to empire cred and they do have how. What was the you should know this. You are big into the social marketing. What was the system that gave you a basically a social points for you plug in all of your different social media and then you've got like a score influence or score like ten of them have one the other one big one. I couldn't tell you right now. Yeah i always go back. And i think a wealthy but it's not that i think corey dr missed the boat on that one could have now what coin he can. He can resurrect coin and finally in the news Virgin galactic has unveiled spaceship. Three pages. Mr branson what happened to the spaceship to we. Don't talk about to hear spatial. All the new hires never mentioned to why what happened. We don't talk about. Don't talk about that anymore. i will say it's shiny. It looks pretty. It does yeah. Yeah spaceship to not going to be flying again. I guess until may because something went wrong last time and Apparently this is comes back. I think the the satellite de gossett because there was a radiation spike in the computer. Shut down on the last light. So that shielding is important. When you're going to space wait. They don't go to space. This is like this is just the tip this just the tip or not going all the way into space media brian. I watched a movie this week. eddie izzard is in it who we both like news dame judi dench's in it too so based on those two names..

I we ready. i'm ready one. I am going to go i. My suggestion is malin ackerman. She's from the watchman. She was silk spectre She's not a bunch of stuff but she has kind of a very like unique. Look to her like she. Looks like the goddess that would oversee like a doorway for all of time and stuff like she just has a very like statuesque face. But that's where i'm at okay for me. I'm picking rupaul It's kind of an outburst casting but It's it's one of those interesting things we're like i remember is so in college. I volunteered at an lgbt Elaine outreach house and It was really interesting to see like the effects that rupaul's drag race hat on that community and rupaul's just like this amazing personality. It's it's been interesting to see what their show had on that community and of coming to accept themselves and coming out and all that so i don't know just kind of fit for me. I do have a second one. That i'm planning but rupaul was on my shortlist for this so i would also endorsed. Recall show wasn't as crazy as i thought it was. No that was one of my first thoughts. And then i came up with another one but yes i am going to go with Shell feifer all right. I think she She just she when you mentioned elves and things like that she has that elvis look to her and i also really like michelle pfeiffer. And she's still beautiful even at age very gracefully as most hollywood actresses do. But i i was reminded in the recent movies. How much actually like michelle pfeiffer. So i'm like you know something about this made me think michelle pfeiffer. So that's my choice. Nice lewis all right now. You can go ritchie. So i have kind of an interesting one. When i saw the art this actress popped into my head and also just she was so phenomenal in the real old that she really stuck out to me. Abby lee who played the dag in mad max fury road. She was the long like platinum blonde. That was kind of doing the weird prayer things with her and oh he was just absolutely made it because she was kind of off the wall but then could be serious. And i feel like she just kind of embodies a lot of different stuff and i've i have seen clips of her and other things and she's actually pretty phenomenal Actress at the she started out as a model but she's got a real unique look about her too and i yeah. The daddies lovecraft country. Yes she is. I haven't seen calf craft country though. So i go off of that but i just. I really like her. I think she has an energy. That would be great for that one. I appreciate any actress that can pull off playing a character that starts with the all right so my picks a little bit out there. Although i am a big fan of hers. I have been for a longtime mostly the comedy side although i just generally appreciate their humor as well as their acting chops and also she's british eddy izard. I'd just i love the level of comedy that she brings. she's gender fluid. It's that same transition level. And also the moment i i remember thinking about. It's like the britishness of demanding courtesy flag flag but at the same time the sheer level of activism that she pursues just. It's an odd quirky choice. But i think eddie izzard for being like the o. Greeting people at the door right this way. She's doing the Run for humanities. Thirty as of thirty fun run marathons right now. I've been watching her on facebook so we got to see any izard Go gosh i go in dallas texas of all places. It was great and it was probably one of the best comedy shows. I have ever been to the whole dressage thing about how it's like. It's like oh they have horses dad's just like well. Let's not very impressive. Like you should have to get on there. And it's like oh and then the horse princess through and then climbs through the window and the clem says and then you're on the horse and the horse picks a lot can still think she's doing the prancing thing on tired anyway. what is it. Circle the one. Where do you have a flag. And look yeah. There's so many good ones they're all good. I love over been have a run on the cake. Good luck picking between all those. Yeah fantastic phenomenal. I love it. I guess might be a for us. Think so. yeah you know. I'm gonna plug our patriotic. You like us and you want more great podcasts stuff from us. There's more on patriots andros. Yeah find the center on patriot. Also get tyrants grasp and rix conversion notes pals rebels and also. If you haven't checked out our hills rebels actual play our hills. Rebels sexual play is available out. Now if you search for find the path presents and We also have some hells rebels blog posts to Recap so listen to the obvious yes. Listen to nose. And then go read the blogs. And then don't forget to go to the reta and cast your vote for the deity castings tough choice this time comment and stuff on episodes there since the discord has become as lively as it has. People aren't commenting as much on read. It and i feel like that sad so you should go comment on read. It attend to directly respond to people that go read it also. So there's a house yesterday. I also more prone to comment on red. At than i am on dischord just because i checked the rent. More often and the discord chat sometimes goes by so fast that by the time. You're fighter if you wanna talk to me. You're gonna hang out on discord actually. I'm ready to escort a lot. I checked both but yeah it's just on discord show up like a creek in summer summoned from the deep at me otherwise i'm probably so far behind..

"Maybe it's the Jameson. We'll get to that moment. Every week. We meet with a local craft brewed. We have challenges going on in the new year, and one of Rob's challenges for January is non alcoholic beer, which you drink it power. Athletic brewing companies Golden this is they're called. They're upside, Don. So we're 16 days in know alcohol's going strong. All right. Why I altered course a little bit. I'm doing beer on the weekends because whatever America Okay, but I'm doing spirits during the week and I almost helped this up. That doesn't really show you much. This is Jameson's cold brew. This is made with cold brew coffee, and it is a fantastic beverage. We will get to those in just a moment. But first Let's go way out to the land of ST Louis. Where they have discovered a prehistoric beer cave Now I was all about this. I saw this headline that just won't this is cool. What do you mean priest or appear cave? Teach me. I love my history. Apparently, this thing is around 100 years old, And this is where they used to keep the beer cold underground. And you know, everybody drink. Don't know kind of awesome. Here's the job. I'm tired of this. I'm actually subscribing to the Eddie Izzard philosophy. It is one my favorite comedians. His standard dressed. It kills when the funniest things ever and in that, he said, he said in America it's so funny because they said they've restored this building to the way it looked 50 years ago. Surely the working people of 50 years ago way here in America we do we freak out about something of the real 100 years ago is 1921. Like it wasn't OK. I mean, they're people that they're people alive today that were born around that time, So okay. If it's not, it's not a cave. It's an underground beer storage. It's not a kale, but I don't know, storing their beer for refrigerators. They're like we're gonna figure out a way to keep our beer cool and preserved and it's a cave. Awesome. All about that. I just think they as we know, in our other line of business, Rob Hunter that headlines are meant for one reason and one reason only, and that is you. You click on it and the discovery of a beer cave. It paints a picture in your mind that there's going to be high. Rygel if Ickes on the wall, and we've discovered a K Noah dude, it was behind the guy's house and an alley. And he just, he said. You keep showed up one day from work, and there's a bunch of people digging and they had these cameras and stuff in the running through and he's like, Hey, can I join and they hear you live here? Come on, Let's go. Check it out. And they found a beer cave with no beer in it, though. I know that's unfortunate, but there's no beer, although, after all that work, you're old beer, But that'd be the equivalent of when when Geraldo did the Al Capone's vault thing bust. Was a fox. You tried your best. It is nothing who made for TV event but see that that's actually a good point, too. And I'm gonna want to dig into this. Maybe we could do a podcast on this because The longer I'm in the news business. I've been doing this for over 20 years. The more I feel manipulated, or at least they're trying to manipulate me. Based on what Mike just said. They write some crappy headline that pulls on some emotion makes you curious, fearful. Whatever you click on this train you like. Because usually you're disappointed is like how many times can you possibly be disappointed for you? Just give up now? A big problem is I don't believe anything anymore. I see a headline in like, I don't believe this. I see something on Twitter like that's not true may very well be true. But I approach everything with this certain level of distrust until I can back it up in 12 different ways. The problem is, most people don't do that. I don't think Mike so it creates a challenge to have Discussions and debates because various people believe various things. Well, I shot on the on the Internet. I saw it on Facebook. I saw that we had this debate last week about After the Capitol rights not to get political, but people are sending us stuff and like Okay, that could come from anywhere. This is a flyer that says this. I'm like, Okay. It could be five years old. For all we know it could be made by me. For all we know I want to. I want response right there, man. And just a reminder. All right of the social media rules. All right here in the bromance and facebook dot com. Ford's life, the broom ants and on Instagram at the underscore bromance. This is about beer, spirits and good conversation. That's what it's about on the go show. We celebrate all things outdoors and speed of Latour playground of state that we live in those air our breaks in our escapes. We have avenues to have political discussions. That's rustling hunter. You can go to those sites as well. And we can have a spirited political debate if you want. Romance go. This is just not the time. This is this is this is our fun stuff. This is what we like to connect with you in a joy and just celebrate life in two very different ways and see how they meld together. This has nothing to do with politics on this. There's no way we're not trying to manipulate you like this is yes, exactly My great clarification. Great point. This is about not manipulating you. This is just about let's be friends and hang out. Have a beer and talk about whatever and enjoy it. Not a place for you long. Yeah, exactly. We want to be that way. Especially when I think of a couple of years now in Japan. This is an interesting one because Support always that support that was making this beer. Yeah, support ovaries put out this beer and they wanted to kind of market it and it's like this in conjunction with like their big giant. You probably know because you've been there Rob their big convenience market. They 7 11 is huge there. This is like Family Mart or something. It's like the It's not seven Elevens, or like on a whole nother level in Japan. Same kind of thing. Yes, Seven Elevens are like they have sushi. They have all kinds of crazy things in seven Let's like a main place. I've never even food from a 7 11 and I've been to actually they're nachos were fantastic. Don't get me wrong. The nachos were good, but never would. I think sushi Yeah, I know. And it's like Amy and I, When we were there had a couple of on the go kind of things were like, Okay, this is this is pretty good and the same kind of thing with family Mart. That's one of the other large convenience store change in Japan's They put this out. They made a big mistake because they always do things in in con ge, Japanese, Japanese writing and there was doing in English and they spelled lager wrong. So instead of l a G r it was l A G a Lada. And so they hit pots. They said. We're not gonna release this. And people lost their bleeping minds. And for good reason. I mean, this was a new This is a highly publicized craft beer. This is a collaboration brew, and it was going to be a readily available and I mean everywhere in Japan, maybe even 7 11, but they have, but they made one mistake and they scrap the whole thing. They haven't even released a date toe. I mean, announced today to release it is Nope. We're just we're just not And I'm like, Hey, yo, everybody, lighten up a little bit your pants..
