"Is there something to be said for simplifying the process by having it jive with our state and federal elections. And if there's cost savings involved again I I'm I'm happy to work. Under any scenario. The voters feel strongly about. But it's not an issue issue. I'm passionate about but I I think more information would be helpful. One of the things that I've learned over the years coming down here is that there's a cert. There's a group of people that wanted to remain a small beach each and there are other people that have the money and have the desire to to keep growing. And there's they're they're they're tearing each other and it gets gets ugly ugly sometimes. What is the right mix for this beach? Well I think the right mix is to respect those folks who have been here for a long time. They have a lot of wisdom. They've given a lot to the island but at the same time again. I've been here forever so I kind of refresher perspective. I do think you could. You can do that in a way and I think. We saw that with the with the Margarita. VPI process they. They came out far too aggressive early. And they've downsized the project based upon input of the community thoughtful conversations on both sides back and forth and again I don't if that process took three or four years I don't think we need we. Nobody know developers GONNA wait three or four years To do that. This was kind of a unique situation but I think it's a respect issue. I think those folks that that are that are newer to the island. Who Want Change have to respect those folks but at the same time is still got to push forward? You've got to have smart. It's not even developed anymore it's redevelopment right and the development and we need smart redevelopment and I think we should be open to it where where it makes sense. If you were not running for council who would you vote for and why it's a great question I Today I know you're really not going out of the foul I mean here's here's my philosophy of this and I hope this doesn't sound too political. Is that run in front of her. The office is hard work and it takes a lot of dedication. And I'm telling you what anybody WHO's willing to have the courage of their convictions and step up into what Teddy Roosevelt called. The arena of of of of of the electoral process has my admiration respect. So it's not my job to criticize the folks who are running here. That's the voters have an obligation a civic duty and it's their privileged those folks. I hope they do so but I'm not I'm not here to all pine on on that. I'll let them all defer to the voters trump impeached. I'll let the Senate but but I think no no yes seven okay so there there had to be one maybe not one but if there was one specific reason you said man I need I need to run. What was it? What was the topic? Or what was the something got under your skin or some. My wife and I live on the beach and we run on the beach we walk on the beach we swam. We ride our bikes almost every day and seeing that red tide disaster and in two thousand eighteen was really. I mean people. Memories are short. But I'm telling you what the the the the the economic the marine adverse impacts and the and just just for people who didn't even live on the beach the smell and we don't even know what the health issues are that resulted from that and it's and the blue-green algae. It was devastating so people talk about traffic talked about parking. They talk about lighting. Those all. Become Um your relevant if our water quality goes south again and so we need to do something about it and I think. I've got an innovative idea that I think I can help with. And but that's what gets would help really drive me but for broader Calling Public Service again. No specific agenda not not angry and anybody and I WANNA be. I went no drama professional government. We've had a lot of drama over the last few years and I think it's time for a stable. No drama approach to government so in sixty seconds. Tell anybody watching or listening why they should vote for you. Well I've talked a little bit about my experience at what I bring to the table and my my goal is to be able to hit the ground running. I've been on the L. P. for year and a half so I know I know I don't know everything about the town but I'm familiar with the local issues that impact the town and I believe in public service in a way that I would be working for you not the other way around. I don't I don't I think it's important for the for the public servants to to understand who the boss is in that relationship and I do and I and I have a servant's heart and and I think it's a privilege to serve and if given that privilege I promise to work as hard as I can and do the very best job I can any other questions. Oh Jim thanks so much for coming on on short notice kind of but second time becoming appreciate marching raising these issues. "Clean water. Here's how and all the snowbirds this island swells to fifty sixty thousand people from all over the country so in these snowbirds come down here we educate them on. They love the island. We educate them on the importance of the clean water. Then they go back home we tell them how to write their member of Congress or two. US US senators. We tell them what bill specifically to ask your member in Ohio Michigan Indiana. Haya whatever asks then write them that letter letter and your two senators and then and then explain them what you want them to do because members of Congress they don't listen to what the Florida member of what their own constituents tell them and this is a low cost way to have a huge impact on public policy at the national level and even at the state level because in the summertime. We have a lot of political flirting. Who Visit Our island from around the state it may be in the summer? We have what we call our Floridian Advocacy reservist a group and we educate all the flirty and to come down here. When they they get go home? Here's how you contact your state legislator your state Senator and again low cost way high impact. Because I'm telling you is. I worked remember cars for sixteen years if they get five or ten letters. Constituent who live in their district that are that are genuine. They don't seem to Organized or computer driven these they they look at their staffing. They say how can the help and so I think if we did that nation would really help move this plan for. Because I'm telling you want next year it's going to be harder to get the funding in order to get the attention on the issue. So does does. The town of Fort Myers Beach Public Information Officer. I thought a public information officer could help. They could help coordinate this plan and they can help you know Generate the earned media. Yeah that's necessary. Go on shows like yours. Obviously the council would do that as well as much as they can and use that bully pulpit his best again so that's an area where the public information officer could help. Here's another area. You'RE GONNA ask me this question anyway. I'm sure you should. You're GonNa ask me about what about code forces in the town and I'm telling you what I have to tell you. I was shocked. I've gone down. got a bunch of mutant Greece. I'm going unbeaten folks to a person I hear someone who's either been directly impacted our noses. Somebody who's been fine penalized or ticket in a way that they thought was overly aggressive by the town. So so my my my thesis on this is that we should find less ticket less penalize less and we should we should give more our warnings. We should do more education. We should do more cooperation with our citizens in Benita Springs. I'm told that they issue a warning before they issue a fine always in that warning. We need to explain why you're in violation. How you come and compliance and in working cooperation with our town because we're so it seems like it's so adversarial there's a there's a climate mid of fear and frustration out there that I was really surprised to hear is coming from? It's coming from the town the the and I don't blame necessarily code enforcement. Because they're given direction by the town manager about how to how to enforce these codes and the other thing that I ask questions about. Is You know what's what's happening to all this money is is the town now. Becoming dependent upon this revenue to fund our General government defend that to to to Fund General Fund revenue for the town. If that's the case that's the wrong way to found for sure on town government is coded for is their successes as employees measured on. How many tickets they right or is it is it measured on? How many people you bring into compliance? I'd love our town enforcement. Have the flexibility to say. Hey here's here's here's we're seeing this in your area could you see. Here's you give you a warning explained how you come and compliance have of a cooperative tone as opposed to adversarial tone and that's where the public information office could help too. Because I think the town manager Oughta every month write a letter to the editor editor for the tech for both papers and say hey you know. Here's what we're seeing. Here's where our findings are coming in. Here's where the penalties are coming in. Here's how you could avoid this. We don't want your money. We want you. We just want people to come into compliance and let people know exactly how they can avoid it what they need to do. What the trends are? I'd love to see a big thermometer on her website. That says how much we raised didn't fines. And tickets in two thousand nineteen then have one in two thousand one and have it go down as opposed both for Reggie wanted to go up. We would want this to go down. And that's where Rafael. I think could help her. Sure begun to communicate with our citizens in a way that I just don't think happening. So the other thing is about this rebranding in Company that the town has hired. RMA for think about Eighty eighty thousand or sixty thousand or something it was six is many thousands. Do you think think the town needed to spend sixty thousand to rebrand. Fort Myers Beach. That's a great question I think putting is. What's what's what? What's I WANNA see the recommendations dacians? I've I've listened to a little bit from the ranting folks. I went to an L. P. meeting. That talked a little bit about what they're doing along with some of the redesigns for Times Square and again this. This is a tourist community. There is a lot of confusion but between Fort Myers beach. Fort Myers but rebranding concepts. It seems like it's something that that the business community community ought to be heavily involved in the Chamber and so you know if they come up with something really clever that really helps clarify who we are in in what we are said island. I'll I'll be impressed but I'm not I don't know I've not seen the end product yet so I just. I don't know how they had the meeting at bay oaks A couple of weeks ago and eight eight to ten people showed up and had well they had it in the middle of the day. To six o'clock I mean. I don't know how many people that have full-time jobs can actually go. Oh if they had an opinion on that we've asked the lady to come on the show several times but not that needs to come on our show. Nobody watches our show but she has. She hasn't gotten back to us at all. Oh on that. We've asked for two or three times. Just maybe that people can hear what the ideas are right and they can always go back and watch the wrong. What's the end result of doing that? What is the goal? What's the goal? What's the outcome? And what's the measure for. If that is achieved success is the metric for success. Great question I don't know the answer that so oh the town of pass the tax increase last year Do you think that was a good idea. would you be in favor of a tax increase if you were back then voting. Yeah we talked about this before I would not have voted for the tax increase. But but I don't I don't I don't criticize the Council for what they were trying to accomplish. I criticized the council in terms. Of how the how they did it. In other other words I think they were understandably trying to reserve for some big projects coming down the Pike Time Square Renovation Beautiful. I've seen the planet that's going to be spectacular and it's okay to reserve those dollars and go ahead and do that but I think they needed more specificity. In in that in that tax increase in other words they said Hey work read sea crossing the mill rate x number to cover these three re-produce. Here's how much they're going to cost the reason why that's important. Is that after you then reserve the money. Then God forbid bring something you rarely ever see have the tax rate come back down again once. You've done the reserving so so I think that's the that was the fault they're just more more detail more specificity. Only because when they're done I commend him for preserving I I don't. I'm not a big fan of deficit spending and going into debt for these projects unless it's critical So I just think it could have been done in a way that gave a little bit more clarity. Where do you think needs to be done with? Bay Oaks. I think that's a bail. Could be whatever we wanted to be as a community. I know that sounds kind of cheesy but I need a community center. There is no. Don't play on the island where everyone can gather I I use peyote. We talked about the other day. They have a little weight room in there. I've talked to Tiffany at hammer heads. Because I'm very percents that issue. I don't think it's competitive with tiffany. Because it's a different kind of But there are ton of people that play pickle ball. They're a ton of people that have social activities there. A lot of the kids use it as after after school An opportunity because of its proximity to the school I think exercise is so important especially for older folks. I think we need to figure out what our mission is. We need to survey population and figure out. Exactly what the desire is. Maybe maybe a music venue as well with which can accommodate more people. I don't have all the answers for folks but I do think it could be. A critical cog in our community in terms of how that might need some rebranding. That'd be that'd be a better use for the sixty thousand dollars. If you you had a chance to sit down with Bob the Chris Patten what would you say to them. I would say well you know I'm not. Who Am I lecture them but but I would say look you know? We had a very transparent process. Went on their three or four different iterations of it and and everybody had a chance to weigh in the council voted who who was who had disparate views on this going in there were three leaning against to to to leaning four. They all came together. Concessions were made on all sides. Let's let's let's move on together as a community. I think it's time and I think quite frankly the the the the that those folks will see the long term the benefits and I think title I will benefit as a whole if you are you in favour of three year terms or four year terms. That's going to be talking about a public information officer. I'm not so sure were and I don't think the mayor feels like the community or maybe it's wrecks in at the meeting date. They don't not so sure that the public is getting educated enough on what's about to happen with this referendum in the election which is only a couple of months away so I think that's a fair concern because I think there's a lot of information on both sides and I'm I don't feel terribly passionate about it one way or the other. I'm happy to with the three turbo for your term. Doesn't matter I I think our the founders of our town were started by stealing term limits which helps offset said any concerns are some concerns about three to four years because if there were no term limits either within four years would be far too long particularly if someone gets in there for you know term after term after term so I think term limits helps mitigate the three or four piece. I'm told to and I don't know if this is true. But I've told that it says about fifteen thousand dollars tax dollars terms of putting the elections since together and I've I've just heard a lot of different things but you're right I think more information would be helpful There's pros to it's nice to have people here during an election when when the when the seasons at its peak. I'm also told that at the same time. There's sometimes traffic issue makes it hard for people to vote. I do think simplifying it..

"That we could learn from those communities and coming go ahead. No no no no we can walkover we talk about walkover. Missed all that you'll have to go back and listen to that back unless okay so the The other issue is what is your position on how to resolve. The situation wishes at the foot of the bridge. Well again. I'm not I'm not gonNA give you a politically that's here but my position on that is I'm not. I'm not the person to be thrown out minded jerk reaction to what what should happen at that when you come over the bridge we've got a public Safety Committee that's been studying this for months. The council and the county have been studying this for months. We've got traffic experts. We've got people with with with data with real experience and as I understand it. The mayor and the town are in conversations with the county and we should becoming or they should be coming out shortly with a specific acidic plan that we can all take a look at see if makes see if it makes sense so so you know. I'm smart enough to know what I don't know and I'm not a traffic expert and there's a lot of people have lived on this island on the north end the go across that bridge every day. No that area well. So I'm not going to impose my view. I'm going to listen to what smart people say on this and particularly with the town coming out with this plan with county shortly. I think I'm just going to reserve judgment. Take a look at now. The council sunspot things. Recently they've increased the the the the the amount of folks in the time that for officers to be Directing traffic. I think they're also trying to encourage the folks who do to direct traffic to do it in a to be trained properly because it seems like there's Times where the folks directing traffic will literally stop all all the traffic for in person for us. Let them gather lead. Listen folks gather people. Don't mind waiting a couple of minutes. Let's just be smart about it but again the big plan will be coming out shortly and let's let's talk about that. What had happened? But I'm I'M NOT GONNA come out with my own knee-jerk plan An against all the experts that have been studying this for months. Does the town of former speech need a public information officer. Well that's a great great question. 'CAUSE I hope he'll ask me about a couple of other things that were which might help understand where a public information officer could be helpful for example if I may what am I. Big Issues is the water quality issue in a little bit different perspective than than what's been talked about before. The governor last year came out with a plan for a four year plan for two point. Point five billion dollars for water quality issues some of that's forever everglades restoration for the water to flow naturally north south again. Like it had a hundred years ago and also for increasing the capacity of the reservoirs in look like Okeechobee. So all that that water doesn't come in to to to our cause red tide problems and blue-green algae problems which I did a two thousand eighteen the water quality issues to be as the number one issue. It doesn't seem like a today because things are better but boy in two thousand eighteen. It was really really really scary and really grim and that could easily happen anytime if we don't if we don't get busy so again. Last year the Governor asked for six hundred twenty five million from the state legislature. Actually we got six hundred eighty two million plus full matching funds for the for the everglades piece from the Federal Government And did in just this past December two hundred million the feds. That's the first time in our top story the second time in twenty years the everglades funding's been fully funded by the feds the feds of ever given everglades funding. I raise all this because that's great and and and I think this year because it's election year national election year. I think we're likely to get similar. Focus on the on the water issue and the funding but my worry is worked in Washington. State government Their attention span is very short hair a year from.

"You can sit anywhere Jim or I don't know what she's doing over there or come into The shuckers at the cottage. And we'll tell you about that and a little bit and I've been doing this now for this are ninety seventh episode Jim Holt and That was probably the the most intense exchange that. We've had so far. That's a very complicated issue. I wasn't able to hear the actual interview but I've I've watched this issue very closely and it's very complicated so speaking of that. Jim Jim is with us now. Jim is running for Fort. Myers Beach Town Council. It's the second appearance on the show you were on the LPGA. Let's get right into your. You're on the LPGA. When this issue came up and you voted? I believe yes because it was seventy nothing. Why did you vote? Yes why to be honest with you. We listened to this for about four hours. The site visit and saw the property saw the saw the issue I read all the materials on it and after listening for four hours we heard from the counsel for the for the applicant for the boardwalk. But we never heard from the town council we never heard from the counselors from the Audubon society so as somebody who is watching watching this My wife and I live on the critical wildlife area. We live right next to care. Deeply Bob we walk run very active very engaged in the critical area. So very very sensitive to how it's impacted and so I understand both sides of this issue but what I what I heard in that four hours of testimony I've since washed council hearings on it. I understand both sides. The the folks that are trying to do this boardwalk topnotch council and they've studied this issue. They've been if fought fought at the state level. They've been successful at the state level. And I'm concerned. If this thing continues to be cereal in the courts there was awesome. Intimation that the critical wildlife area how it was formed might have been problematic. That's what these folks are saying and I would hate to see in court somehow. How the underlying formation of critical wildlife area be jeopardized through tough litigation adversarial litigation both sides? So if there's some way we can work this out without potentially risking the existence of the critical critical wildlife area as an entity as a legal entity. I think we ought to take a look at it. I think we anything we could do to keep this thing from going to the courts. I think it's worth the time and effort on both sides so knowing what you know now would you vote. Yes again I would vote I I would vote. Yes only in the sense that we could prevent this thing from going to the courts because if it goes to the courts I think it's going to be a no no holds barred fight and there's potential official to risk the actual existence of the critical area. And that has me concerned. If you are on the council voting for rehearing in a couple of weeks would you vote yes or no well. Th- the the the the premise of the hearing is that new information will be presented. I I'm not privy to. That is so I'm interested here with that. New information will be so I can't say based upon information I've not seen yet but my position is still the same. I think we need to be really careful with this thing. Because if it goes to the courts I'd hate to see the actual critical area area. It's overall foundational documents be challenged in a way that puts it at risk so birds aside and critical wildlife decide. Should there be abroad award. Walk in that area. You can't put it aside because this whole piece is a masterpiece of litigations and these top notch attorneys. They're determined to go to the bitter her end. I don't think they want to jeopardise critical. I think they just went there. Boardwalk and and I just want to be smart as from the L. P. A.'s perspective the town's perspective how we approach this thing because sometimes when you do a little thing to protect the protect the environment you could put the broader critical wildlife area at risk. I I I don't know enough about the litigation dynamics and I have a challenge for our town council to be to really talk about that at the rehearing is to. How much risk is there food for the town for this critical while? They're likely to be jeopardized. And I've never seen the council so far. This council is divided as it. Was this on this one issue you yeah. It's a tough one because they're so that people are concerned about setting precedents. Some people concern about just the broader issue. Some people are concerned about the specific boardwalk. I think they're all the positions are are real on the relevant and I think there are legitimate. I I'm concerned about there was. There's been intimation that if this gets bloody that that overall critical wildlife area could be at stake in a and I don't think I I'm not sure it's worth the risk and I think we need to try to work it out. Okay so back to the WHO is Jim Aderholt. Jim Aderholt Alta is a guy who grew up in Wisconsin. What's School University of Wisconsin Married my college sweetheart. We went out to DC to save the world I was a young idealistic Political Science Major I worked on Capitol Hill Became Chief of staff member of Congress out in Washington DC. My wife was Russian linguist for the National Security Agency Agency. We had the quintessential experience but we wanted to start. A family decided to move back at the end to do that. Got Involved in politics at the local level and state level ran in for the Indiana General Assembly. As a state legislator was elected served two terms in the General Assembly. I learned a lot and that experience. then went worked for a few years in the private sector with. At and T.. Ben was called by my governor at the time to be State Insurance Commissioner which I did for four years learned a great deal during that experience down only about insurance but about running running an agency and managing folks and then was asked by the governor to serve as the chairman of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission we regulate all the gas electric and water companies for the state that was a fascinating experience and my last years with the state I was asked by the governor. Be The chief of staff in the governor's office which I did again another fascinating. Learning opportunity an opportunity to serve in a different capacity Ashley which I enjoyed very much then after that was done my wife had a chance to transfer her job. She's a nurse. I went back to school to become a nurse and transfer her job down to Fort Myers beach where we could work she. You could work from home start a little consulting business. We're down here living in paradise so you were on the LPGA for how long for about a year. I've been on for about a year and a half okay. And why did you decide ride that you wanted to run for town council. Well you know public service to me is something that's just inculcated into my system and I to me. It's a calling some people say it's a disease this is When I came down here I thought I take a break? But when that opportunity to be involved in the L. P. came along its sort again just this sort. I just drew me closer back to public service again. It's a fascinating way to learn about the island and contribute to the to the community and to the council and then there were three openings openings on the council I looked at my experience and I thought is there anything I can offer the town based upon my experience. I'm not running against anybody. I'm not mad at anybody. I've got no hidden agenda. I decide decide. If there's a way I can contribute I I should. I need to step forward. Okay so some of the big issues are the lights on Estero Boulevard. Woods your position on how that gets resolved. Well the lights lights. I think it put the council in a tough spot. This the county has sponsored a study that I think is kind of done a disservice to the council. Because it's sort of a Hobson's choice it's sort of all or nothing it's either take our white lights or nothing and I don't think that's really fair to the council. I don't think it's fair to the town. I think again. Obviously public safety is number. One driving along Estero Estero Boulevard. At night is really dangerous and scary. Not only driver but also pedestrian. We need to do something we need to do. It quickly but at the same time you know we can't have a solution that's not not that doesn't comply with state law is not we want to be sensitive to the marine life and the turtles etc and I don't I don't I've not been convinced that we can't do both. I think there's some options out there. We've not considered when I was head of the Utility Commission we it's amazing to see the advancement in solar street lamps. There's there's there's actually wind-power streetlamps there's ways we can do this with amber lighting. That might work. I think I think the town has gone back to encourage the county to take a deeper look at this and I think nick will come back hopefully at the next council meeting of additional information that allows to make a more informed choice. I don't think it's an either or scenario and I think I think with some more discussion with the county Johny. We'll be able to hopefully come to a consensus where it's we try to do a little bit of both so right now. The county solution is a seven million dollars solution. Is that correct. Well that's if you do the amber lighting rate if you the White Line into county will pay for all of it but again. I don't even know that it's compliant with state regulations with respect to the turtles so we we don't want to be a situation where we end up with all this white light again have to shut it. It offers six months during turtle season. So it's a challenge. I just don't think that report gave us enough choices. I think Florida power light needs to outside the box a little bit. See what other communities are doing. I can't imagine I should ask our county Lee. County is the only community that's face this coastal community and I would think our county would be a little sensitive door situation here on the island. I know and I don't know what you guys have covered already but I know there was one thing I was reading about the the lights in the ground. Like putting them down in as the construction structure is going in and whether it was I think it was was amber lighting that they said and that that was one option that I think it was over in Fort Lauderdale coaster community nitty over. There did and I was like well. Let's take a look we. We don't have to reinvent the wheel there has to be other communities that have solved this problem and done in a smart way. Yeah there's a lot of shoreline and in Florida. We cannot be the only community. I looked at all those options. It doesn't look like they looked at other other communities experiences in a way.

"Dunno where attorneys I've got to hear back from okay record. We're going to have witnessed that we have to coordinate. Let's say let's say the The vote is three two two and not in your favor. Will you through the town. Yes yes or no. Let me say this right. Murphy is a very very smart individual. You've heard what he had to say up there I I did I I. I didn't hear him give a reason why he wanted to approve it. I saw he wanted to approve it. I must have missed. Give reason I missed it. I'm talking to you asked me you asked me. If we were going to sue the town. He knew he knows you are he. He certainly indicated that you were going to okay. So and and and It's the birthday hairs. Everyone Harris. What's that is the name of a lawsuit? Everyone that hears that should go online on and look and see what that lawsuit what is it. It's a property is win town enforces another ordinance which they have the right to do and it causes uses financial damage to someone's property the property owner even though they have the right to enforcer ordinance. The property is still entitled. So what damage has it done to your property. So far the difference between having direct beach access access and having a beach view is how much money will I'll give you an example. There's a there's a house under contract right now. The contracts pending ending. Yeah all right. And it's three hundred feet larger than my home It has five four and a half baths instead of three three bass. Yeah that's basically the only difference. Oh and it has a pool. That's basically the only difference. It's under contract has direct beach access. Three four houses down from me for three point..

"Boardwalk sits on it is less than three hundred feet. I don't I don't know where the three to five hundred feet came from. It's less than three hundred feet. I do know that it's something to seventy four. Whatever the There's your so so much misinformation. Go Go ahead there that you know I think there's a couple points to be made and One of them is that the town of Fort Myers. Beach does have the right to either provide or deny a special exception and that is is the overruling guideline and that the town council did Vote down this special exception three to two and they do have a responsibility to look out for. The town of Fort Myers. Speech is a whole to have it a fully functioning being town that has both an area as we sit here. That is Quite busy and active and other areas that are quieter quieter and down at the South End. It is quiet less human disturbances that the birds and people will Enjoy walking and a two hundred seventy five foot. Boardwalk Dune Walk over does Start to alter altered it alters that environment significantly it will affect how the birds can utilize That area that they depend so much much on And you know we're going up for a second rehearing when the town has voted down There are multiple reasons why The town has great consideration and has not wanted this boardwalk in an area that is right around around critical area and if as you go You know it could create a other folks wanting boardwalks and would degrade the gray area even further. I do believe that there is access going north to the beach. It's about a five to seven minute. Walk from your home's okay. There were several statements there that I'd like to make comments on A couple of them you know. Let's talk about the verge for a second okay This lady claims that she spent hundreds of hours down there. I lived there curtain. I lived there We we spent almost half a year eh.

"Was not okay. There's less than three hundred at some point. The the actual number will have to come out the actual numbers available on the on the administrative hearings website. So of that some of it's in your yard but some of it has to be public property. It's actually let me clear that up also because that was one of the reasons that the Autobahn and the town filed a lawsuit Part of the application in the C. C. L. is that the structure needs to be built on private property and so they've filed a lawsuit to stop the CC L. permit claiming that it was not on on private property When in fact hurting I have leased that land an when you lease property you have ownership rights? I mean obviously you can't sell it or Barbara it but a a short of that when you lease a piece of property it affords you ownership rights and so the property that the walkover will be constructed on is Kurt and minds off okay. Well there's a lot of information out there that says it's selling nobody not your property from the so the lease allows as you too 'cause I know if I lease a property I can't build something permanent on it so this lease allows you to to to do that too. Well let me clear that up. All this walkovers not considered a permanent structure this walkovers expendable structure per DP God lines And if at any point the structure becomes not usable..

"And all they've all been filed by the town and the Audubon against us and we have merely been defending ourselves so the Did this come as a result of a neighbor putting writing offense off where you couldn't get to the beach that I hear that correctly at the town meeting it is a little bit complicated and I say if I can skim over it right this pretty pretty quickly There's a very tall to mean. How waterline okay? The mean high water line is typically word riot. Ground meats wet ground. And along the waterline. The government provides area or an easement if you would for the public to walk back and forth okay. The mean how waterline was on our property operative side of that water feature so it so with it being on our side of the water feature it afforded us the right to walk along the waterline down. The other two or three peoples properties to get to the beach in two thousand fourteen Lee County realized that their situation wasn't correct there area and so they corrected that situation and they moved the mean waterline out to the current shore the neighbor to the south of us in a period of time rather short period of time discovered his rights of ownership and that he no longer had to allow anyone through his backyard anymore. Because there was no mean waterline which in turn there's no public easement anymore it Dried up if you would And so he erected a fence and put up a sign and enclosure off. Okay so that resulted in you and Kurt not being able to get to the beach each without walking what ten miles down the road or something. It's our whole neighborhood. Actually that path. We assume that that.

"Myers Beach Town Council and our first first topic for this morning is on It's something that's been pretty much splitting the council somewhat right down the middle. If there was a middle is three two two right now Doing walk over a Downer sterile. Boulevard it's is at eighty three fifty or twelve fifty or what's the number now. It doesn't matter if we don't want to give out your address six down there somewhere anyone's fifty and eighty one so I don't know why it says twelve fifty. Okay it's down there th- down on the southern end on the south on the South End. Okay now we don't often get into topics that involve just a few residents but this has become much more than that Kirk cromer. Eddie rude is that I say your last name have been trying to get a two hundred fifty fifty foot walkover approved outside their homes and it the at that location and they've gotten some approvals but not the council's approval level as of yet. The council voted three to two opposed and opposed to the Dune. Walk over the plan is also being opposed by the Audubon Society Very Curtain. Ed have asked for a rehearing before the council which they've been granted. A hearing is scheduled for February the third and this topic becomes even more interesting interesting. If by any chance it gets delayed past the march seventeenth election right now. There's no way this passes in my opinion. It's three two two right now unless something changed range from meeting that we saw on Monday right right okay so let me keep going. Is that okay if I keep going. I'm saying anything wrong here that you correct me. Once I stop doc. Let let me finish. Finish the introduction. Then everybody can. You can introduce circus. This is all right. So let's say that the The issue gets a delayed pass. March the seventeenth. There'll be three new candidates on the council and At least one of the candidates is from the LPGA appear in the LPGA approved the dune walk over seven. Two Zero so Really it's the Mayor Joanne and Wreck Sen They voted no and Bruce and ray voted yes so far right given I conducted an interview with Julie Rathmell from The Autobahn Society last night in that video is on the facebook page. Do you know, I think I think that fifteen million would have been as a great deal. If you look at it on paper. But I just don't know if. And it's going to go into any form of agreement with Eddie hand, just AJ. I think that's potential to be at faith. And I think the way while they're smoking about when he was on the show. It's like people change his worse now 'cause you don't need to get better. So money being old to get better. So my questions, you know, 'cause you know, a lot about the boxing business. And what would you say Deontay water needs to do to put himself in a position to get any of these fights? And seemingly the fact that many people consider him on the other side of Anthony Joshua, and now Tyson fury's ESPN US distribution do. Well. Fame to get the fight would put for them to have appropriate. Anyhow wants to fight Buffy Eddie hundred wants to fight off at the back of how gallantly ties to tree before. Eddie hearn. Call Shelly Finkel. Call Tyson fury called Indiana while the call listen to boxing. God's will never align. It like that again. And we know AJ was listening. He could have called them. We got that a year ago, but he didn't want to. Sad. It's very very sad firefighting. I listen. Yes. You were a fighter my friend. You know, when a person doesn't wanna fight. Why does it keep putting a fifty fifty rematch clause? Fifty fifty split on the rematch. If he loses like how would you still trying to control the second fight negotiations as a loser? I can understand you say look rematch. If I win I get this split, and I still give you a remand, but you're talking about being the fucking loser and still trying to control like this guy. He's this this last week. You were complain about dealer why they had the same stipulation. They don't way if you were to lose this war to fifty if you're really Wisconsin planning spends DeLeon white had the same complaint because he said, it's not gonna Josh Dila Dila white. white kilowatts throws is worse. If you're going to get less than entry Joshua in a return. No, no, no. Then obviously, that's why didn't take the fight you should've taken by so between five for wartime this that that and hosted in California as you saying Jamaica, that's what you guys saying.
