He <Speech_Music_Male> certainly had the talent. <Speech_Music_Male> There <Speech_Male> are so many ifs <Speech_Male> buts and maybes <Speech_Music_Male> in racing, <Speech_Music_Male> and as he <Speech_Music_Male> said at the end, he <Speech_Male> survived a lethal <Speech_Music_Male> era of the sport <Speech_Music_Male> when many of <Speech_Music_Male> his colleagues didn't, <Speech_Music_Male> and for that, <Speech_Music_Male> there's a lot to <Speech_Music_Male> be grateful for. <Speech_Music_Male> Eddie you've <Speech_Music_Male> got one hell of a story. <Speech_Music_Male> Thanks for <Speech_Music_Male> sharing it. It was <Speech_Music_Male> great to chat. <Speech_Male> Well, that's almost it for <Speech_Male> another week. But before <Speech_Male> I go, let's have a <Speech_Male> rummage through the virtual <Speech_Male> mailbag <Speech_Music_Male> to see what you're saying <Speech_Music_Male> about the show. <Speech_Music_Male> Many of you <Speech_Music_Male> loved hearing from George, <Speech_Male> Russell during the <Speech_Music_Male> build up to the British Grand <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> Prix. What <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> a talent that <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> man is matt <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> still got in touch <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> to say this <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> very interesting <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> chat with George Russell <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> as an ozzy <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> it's difficult <Speech_Music_Male> <Advertisement> to cheer for an Englishman <Speech_Music_Male> in any think <Speech_Music_Male> but if he <Speech_Music_Male> is the future of former <Speech_Music_Male> one than the <Speech_Music_Male> sport is in. "The reason in addition to just looking at your bookmarks alfred has a wide range of web searches. You can search google you can search g. miller or google drive or look to your log on account for that twitter wikipedia amazon e bay linked in youtube it goes on and on so you can use alfred a search those sites directly for keyboard wherever you are so that's pretty cool. You can turn them off. You can turn them on you can customize them but it's great to be able to search the whole web from your mac keyboard anywhere well another area of that these apps do and i think this is one of these apps to way better than spotlight is file management and this is the idea of being able to and only find files which can do to work and do things to files and the way all start with launch party so you can file navigate issue type the name of any file and it'll it'll find it for you but you can also really navigate your drive that till the key thing that's to the left of your one with a shift a little curly dash. I guess <hes> if you type that in launch bar and this also works in in <hes> an alfred it gets you your home <hes> directory so it just gets you the root of your your drive in are actually your home so like your user account stuff and then you can right arrow through it and you can start kind of working through those directories just like having a finder in one line text box in essence and then and once you start finding certain common folders just like eddie cheever lasagna with alfred it remembers how he opens that folder a lot so if you you type anything related to that name i'm probably going to put that one at the top you know and then once you find a file you can do file management on it and <hes> if you hit the space bar you get quick look. If you hit control right arrow you get work done at the tab. Key can like move it and copy it. They also cause launch bar is very kind of like inside knowledge app in the sense like i think it's command shift. Are you can rename a file from the from. The launch launched our window. You can actually rename it like i know all these things. My fingers know them but if i had to say what they are i don't. I'd have to put my hands on keyboard. Tell you what i do but it's very powerful so so you can move like moving stuff around your drive way faster more accurate than dragging things between different finder windows so i find file manage it very useful on these d- do that much on.

"That made a massive difference. Cousteau enjoyed the turbo in the the extra power with problem. But again because that car was so bad. It was it was it was almost must and he lost a lot of the enjoyment. Just because the car was bad. But the engine was great. And then. Obviously the thing was center. I think somebody said to me you might be new. She lost night. My biggest regret. My biggest regret was not being teammate to center because I you know, I still had so much confidence in myself. No is still at the the strength in terms of age, the the right time why career and I'd like to put myself against Assen, you know, because he's most people's Fulmer one old-time time best drivers, and whether or not it'll beat new and much you to beat me by on. And I want to know whether I was any good, and I never did. Because always with good drivers. But not great drivers, you know, pack to Tom very good driver. Bruno Jack, many Eddie Cheever betrays e Donnelly in some good drivers. But not great drivers. So I I will never know really how good I was. And this would have been for eighty six. So the end of the second year the chance for Lotus. Join senator. And that's what he that's what he blocked his next LA could run to number one calls these that was the the all the time. What he said to me later on was he definitely didn't think Lotus could dry out could run to number one. 'cause he was right. He wanted the spare car and my contract said I had we alternate the spare car, and he didn't want that. And he didn't want me in the team because he knew how strong character was in a British team. No matter how good he was. I would have taken some of that gloss away from ads, and and he didn't wanna give up any of that. And the also knew the live in coin quick. So I think all those factors. He put loads of pressure on the sponsors to go back to Lotus and Tara mccown try because although I'd signed it, and we agreed everything they hadn't signed it. And then when I got called to to Norfolk in the end of AT five. Just total contract. I'm in front of me. Do you think he had more knowledge about you? Because of the heat Tolman off to you left. You defectively replaced? You neil. He perhaps would have seen what you built there and how the data and they will carry on saying you have good. I was in the team, and you know, not saying that I was better than him. But they would have he would know more about me and my performance than the most drivers. But anyway, that that's history as I say, do you think in an alternate universe where you will ever in that car that had been a chance to show what you could do ratings of Dumfries soft time alongside center, and he was a good driver certainly better than he was able to show in not seasonal. I was a stronger driver than Johnny just because I would have been able to of Galt more demand from the team he came in. There is absolute number two. He was lucky to get the drive. So he was satisfied with every go. He probably was shot by how could have was and never recovered. I'd like to think that I would come in as equal him which will on the back foot, which is give me a bit of a dry Ford. I don't know. Judging myself against one of the greatest drivers ever. So, you know, people listening to this podcast will probably think than I have can you ever think that you is as good as Anson? Well, we racin drives all think we're pretty good. You know, you know, that's guess is in in the car. That's what gets us up in the morning to go training. That's well, you know, some of us just just think we I don't think it was the greatest thing. I was a good driver in light the opportunity to say just how good hours and even better priced as well because Dumfries often offers reading about this recently for another reason, but he was given almost no tracks on what so ever..

"Jesus America that is obviously the game in Mexico. The grabs everyone's imagination. The two most popular, the two best supported clubs there, and it ended one one. Compelling stuff, certainly, and miss penalty at the end for a medical could've put it over the top. It didn't get in. But obviously this is a game. Everyone gets really excited for you. Included course classical Nacional. This is what it's all about. This is the biggest game of the year. Obviously, I believe last week we spoke about classical radio. Now the violence that occurred and how often field issue surpass, what was on the field. And this was nice to see none of that happened. None of that happened. It was a very thrilling emotional game. Few things happened in the game. We got backtrack before, I guess, which is always always when we talk about these teams about, okay, so these they played in COPA mex-, right. Both were eliminated. It was a historic result for Puma. Yeah, against Jesus thirty six years. They'd haven't been beaten Chiba. In a way game. So government makes just for big clear. This is the correlating tournament FA Cup US open Cup lash thing though. Correct? So this is still they still have not beaten them in league, but it would. I mean up until just recently, they hadn't beat them in Cup or league. So first time in my lifetime that we've that I've seen that and these teams are very close to the finish line, so trophies within reach. That'd be big for anybody. You don't wanna get knocked out, Chiba loses to boom us. And then a Medicare lose to what is. Yeah. So second division team. So that's as they lost in penalty kicks. And now that you always a flip side of that as you say, hey teams to focus, there's issues with losing that that very stage, and that's going to be hugely disappointing for these teams and look, you're getting to the business and here and now you have to. But there is the ability now to focus in on making the playoffs America's there there. I mean, Crusoes had this great season America's now escorting them a little bit at the top for me, Chievo us. I mean, they were deal away weeks ago so they get the point here. They rescue it late and their their ninth. They are ninth and they finish. They have a good October. They're gonna get into this postseason. I think that you look at the playoff format, it could be really, it could be really exciting with the teams that are in there. You could have if us makes it could be one of those historic things because I think you have all the big names there from cruise vessel to America this month today plumas and they can have it. So Jesus to me is is really invigorated the league, but. Gotta finish the job here, but I like I like the path they're headed on, but they need to get the result because we've, we've been crapping on that Jesus alone. It's funny though rightfully so I, if you talk about the two biggest teams in the league, everybody's gonna say, I'm Eddie Cheever hands down the two biggest teams in the league in your spirit and your changing that discussion. Well, it's here, here's what it is. So let's let's go back to go by monkeys. And people are very quick to jump all over America. And for good reason, you know, they lose to a second vision team at home, and they asked me a letter reporter, Lynn, Linda, who's here at ESPN ask them, what would you have done differently? If anything? What was your mistake tactically? And he said, the only mistake I made was sending believe us Carlos a kid to hit a penalty kick in the shootout. He shot like number three and missed and nothing happened, but went on after you've Atta who was the shooter? I believe MRs one of the most experienced players on the field Columbian Colombian player when he misses and they lose the game..

"Because here's the thing in a tree in a free market and i i hate it when people argue about this fremaux we don't have truly free market as she do you can have a truly free market the fact that you don't is a fault of government it has nothing to do with the fact that you couldn't create a free market it's very easy to do the internet for a decade has been a relatively an almost completely free market or anybody could come and start their own thing so you can create a free market but in a truly free market a a monopoly can only exist as long as it offers a higher quality product eddie cheever price the only way i'll give you an example um jd rockefeller for war for many many years what he would do is he figured out that he would if he bought wells that were struggling when oil prices were low he would go to struggling oil wells and he would buy them up on the cheap and what he would do is in order to try and increase his acquisition cost is he would at he would he only her a published eight this correctly so what he would do as you would come and he was star buying up oil wells and the ones that were performing well because oil prices were too low he would shut them off and this would in turn do what you would drive the price of oil up and then once the price of oil got high enough to turn those wells back on to make them profitable he will do so and so as the price of oil fell he was able to he was able to acquire more and more oil wells that people couldn't run because they were inefficient now on the back side of that he wasn't just playing this game where he was driving up oil prices in order to buy a driving down oil prices to acquire and then letting the price rise see he was also creating a lot more efficiencies in the market as well he.
